Great house with wonderful pool. Very clean and well appointed. Nice landscaping everywhere on property with nice grass area down to pond. Nice gazebo at pond edge with chairs for setting and enjoying evenings. Great people to work with on reservation and arrival.

We LOVED our stay! Everything was super clean and organized. Leah was exceptionally helpful - the information provided before and during the stay was great! The listing was exactly correct - the home was located on a beautiful lot and made us feel like we were out in the country. The neighbors horses did a little morning dance for us each day while we were out walking. The rooms were large, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The kitchen was also user friendly with all the necessary cooking equipment easy to find. The grounds were well groomed. We only wish the pool had been heated. We have already recommended this property to friends.

Opulent, decadent, and simply amazing! As frequent users of VRBO, Chigoe Creek Retreat set the bar REALLY high for anyone else. This is by far the nicest place we have stayed due to the high quality of everything from the house, grounds, and pool to the thoughtful and responsive property manager (Lora).We ended up spending most of our time at the property rather than venturing out like we usually do, just because everything we could possibly want was already there. There is a great selection of books and poetry, beautiful artwork, immaculate antiques (you could smell the freshly oiled cherry-wood and oak in the game room), an excellent selection of games, well maintained swimming pool, and 20 acres to explore. We also slept over 10 hours the first night and woke up feeling fantastic, which is amazing for two people with bad backs. The bed in the master bedroom is one of the most comfortable weve ever slept on.Like everything here, the landscaping is perfectly manicured, with careful choices clearly made in the planting and variety of vegetation, and an outright inviting layout that beckons visitors to explore further. The pool chemicals were spot on, and temperature was ideal. Chigoe Creek Retreat is full of delightful surprises at every turn, and the property management is the best. Thank you Lora for making our trip special, and huge thanks to the owner for allowing others to enjoy this masterpiece.

Such a beautiful home! Jessica met us there when we arrived and gave us a tour of the home. She was personable and answered all our questions. The home is even more beautiful than the pictures show! The pool was great! If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, this is the place to stay. We accidentally set off the alarm when we were departing and Lora arrived shortly thereafter to take care of the problem. She was very understanding! Also, our security deposit was refunded within hours of departure! We highly recommend this home and plan to return in the future.

This property was amazing both inside and out. Within 10 minutes of anything you needed but so secluded it provided great privacy. We spent every morning and evening sitting on that amazing deck . Property Manage Lora was so easy to work with and could not do enough for us. I would recommend this property to anyone who loves privacy and class all wrapped up into one beautiful package.

This place would be a once in a lifetime experience for most people. But we plan on coming back again next August because it was so amazing. It’s a 5 star property all the way around. It really doesn’t get much better. Lora was a “6” star host! Amazing area, close to stores and a great restaurant/bar less than 5 minutes from the house. The privacy is second to none. We were lucky to have the privilege of staying here. We’re already looking forward to next year if it’s available. Can’t wait to come back!

A lovely get away! Quiet and peaceful location. The covered deck was amazing and our family spent a lot of time out there! The management staff was responsive to all of our needs and were very easy to reach. We plan to visit again.

This was our second stay at Chigoe Creek Retreat, the first time was back in 2014--my husband and I were desperate for relaxation & privacy. Both of us are workaholics and this once again was exactly what the doctor ordered. Perfection. We swam, BBQed, had wine on the porch in the evenings upstairs with a beautiful view. We played ping-pong, he played pool by hisself and I cooked in a well equipped kitchen (just bring your own spices & food). I have stayed in places all over the world, and this place is by far the biggest bang for your buck and just FAB to top it off. I will be going back again and it isnt gonna take me years...I was reminded of just how important it is to shut the noise out and make time for laughter & Love. PS Thanks Lora for everything.

This place has it all. You can relax by the pool, enjoy nature, play a game of pool, grill a steak, or simply sit back and read a book. Lovely in everyway. The property manager, Lora, is the best. She made our trip special. Highly recommend to all.

Without a doubt, this was the most relaxing and quiet vacation we have ever taken. It met all of our requirements for some alone time and getting away from our hectic lifestyles. We could also see where this would be a perfect place for a golf trip, girls getaway, family gathering or simply what we were looking for - to be spoiled by the opulence for a change.
