Chilis Grill & Bar in other cities:
I’m not even sure what to say, but surely the cook had to be blind and no smell to serve this burger and think it was edible. Smelled burnt as can be when I pulled it out of my bag and to my surprise the worst burger I’ve seen in my 26 years of my life. So much for my dinner tonight. After looking at other complaints recently, I would just stick away from the burgers.
Overall a terrible experience. The waiter was super overwhelmed, which was not his fault but definitely effected our experience. There were a few times where he would just stand there and stare at us without saying anything for a minute or two. Our appetizer came out with our main entree which is a pet peeve of mine personally. The food tasted like it was microwaved, sitting out, and thrown on a plate whenever someone orders it. A manager came over to help with the gift card that we had and during this process she selected the tip amount on her own. She didn’t ask, didn’t confirm, or give a heads up about doing that. She just did it. Which was the cherry on top of this terrible experience. The only Chili’s I will ever see again is when it appears on The Office.
Overall, this location is good. My meal was a hit-and-miss, as my double order of dry rub ribs had one flavorful... the other, not so much. Other than that one [major] flaw, the rest of my meal was up to par. I chose to-go pick up, so I cannot speak of their tableside service. I will update my rating once I opt to dine in.
Chips way too salty, half the salsa was spilled before even hitting the table, asked for salad no tomatoes, loaded with tomatoes, queso dip had nothing in it ( beans, meat) and was cold. Ordered coke got sweet tea and an apology. 4 meals and everyone of them had a problem. We were the only ones in there. Everybody else had been served. Wont be back.
My daughter interviewed with the manager James was offered a job on the spot . She resigned from her then current position. Reported to chilis on appointed date and was told that they could not move forward with the hiring process until her hair is a natural color. My daughter is a 19 year old college student with a vibrant personality and vibrant hair . The manager that initially hired her did not mention it ! So you left a college kid jobless ! You also lost a tremendous amount of businesses too ..Beware if you color your hair apparently Chilies does not approve and they ARE judging you !
S.O.S. This place needs some serious help. The franchise looks to be way understaffed, the staff seems like newly hired personnel and lacking training. My wife and I are big fans of Chili’s but tonight was the worst experience we have ever had. The place was probably at 1/2 capacity yet there was a 15-20 minute wait for sitting (this was a red flag but we ignored it). Since we dine at Chili’s quite often, as soon as we sat down we placed all of our orders. Unfortunately, it took about 90 minutes for the food to come out, and interestingly enough it was cold. What normally is 45 mins dining experience turn out to be a 2 hr plus affair.I can hear other costumers sitting near by complaining as well. Please turn this place around quickly, as I said, my wife and I are big fans.
2022-04: I want to start by saying I was once an employee of Chilis in another state and I am very familiar with the menu and the standards that were taught to all employees, front of the house and back of the house. Excellent customer service is a MUST.A few weeks ago, I ordered some food for delivery by a third party service. I ordered chips & salsa and steak fajitas with guacamole. When my food arrived, I was bummed to find that half of what makes fajitas was missing. There was no fajita set-up - no lettuce, pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream. There were no tortillas. And there was no guacamole - something I paid extra for. The first thing I did was get in contact with the third party delivery driver to ask if there were any other bags he may have forgotten. He was smart enough to take a picture of the order IN THE RESTAURANT before he left to deliver the food to me, and he delivered everything he was given by the restaurant. So, I got in touch with the delivery service and reported my issue, in which I simply received a $5.39 credit with the delivery service.Being that customer service is in my background, I wanted to call the restaurant to simply tell the to-go person to please be mindful of the small things when preparing orders for pickup, and I wasnt going to ask for a discount/free items/etc. However, when I called the restaurant and asked the person who answered the phone if they were the one preparing the to-go orders, I was put on hold without a single word being said to me. To compound the issue, about 3 minutes later, someone picked up the phone and hung it up. I didnt bother calling back because it was obvious my concerns would have fallen on deaf ears.It doesnt matter that the chips & salsa were good or that the steak, grilled onions, and grilled peppers were all cooked perfectly. The experience - lack of customer service and lack of attention to what goes with certain menu items ruined my experience with this Chilis.
Had a double date with another couple. It was a really nice evening so we sat outside. Our waiter was nice and attentive. But when I spend $20 on a steak I expect it to be cooked to order. I ordered my ribeye medium rare. It was well done. No pink at all. I didnt want to raise any concern because it might seem rude to the other couple so I held my tongue. Weird enough my wifes ribeye was medium rare. Not sure how they roasted mine but got hers right.
This was honestly one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I have ever had. We were sat down with no utensils, no plates, no napkins. The girl took our drinks and then never brought them. After reminding her 10 minutes later she brought the drinks with no straws. After the food came out she never came back to the table!
Waited at the bar for 25 minutes waiting for service when the restaurant was empty. After asking a waitress if my wife and I could get so help we were told that the bartender was in the restroom. We Waited another 10 minutes and finally left to go to Tbones for a wonderful meal. I understand that employers are having trouble getting employees but this place has the worst customer service. Will not be returning.
Just added a Star for their nice, clean, Veterans day 2020 meals and a very professional talented bartender. They now have a better Covid serving rhythm . Nice improvement. Older rating- Had a medium dinner tonight. I realize Management reads these texts. Was seated in a booth in the dining room, Hostess was kind to clean the table and seats for me. The cleaning fluid, disinfectant was of good quality, the overused stained towel from the hostess station, not so much. Waiter was prompt, I ordered a drink from the bar, the drink arrived well made and proper. While sitting at my booth there exhibited a dull shaking rhythm and low base hum that permeated the dining room...making for a poor dining experience. I asked my waiter to listen for it, he could not hear it....another kitchen person came to the table at my request and hear (and felt) it...he called it a sort of cyclic beat....so it was there, it was not just me. I asked to change tables then proceeded to walk around the restaurant to find a table where the vibration was less prominent. I moved to the bar area, it was quietest. I did find what seems to be causing the condition as it is strongest under each of the AC/Heater down vents. There is a large air intake for the AC/Heater system located in the main dining room, a very large ceiling mounted industrial metal grid. By the way Management... that grill is very dirty and needs attention. I would make a guess that the fan bearings inside the air handler are starting to wear out or require periodic maintenance.... this would cause the vibration and the low base noise. As to the meal, the kitchen did well, I had a nice grilled chicken breast on a green salad. Regrettably once I moved to the bar my Waiter lost track of me. During dinner I went to the bar tender twice for assistance... once for a knife so that I might eat my meal and once for a pen so that I might pay for my meal. During my time at the restaurant I did not see any on the floor Management/Supervisor checking on Guests or mealquality. As I left no one said Thanks or Good night. So not a grand night out.
I went to the Augusta location and was very disappointed in the food. So I decided to try the Evans location before I gave up on Chilis.Am I glad I tried the Evans location. Whomever is training the Evans employees needs to train the Augusta location. The food is great, the service is great! Definitely going here again.
We have visited this restaurant frequently and are excited to have some good places to eat in Evans. I went there this evening with my husband and 4 children ages 5-14. The restaurant had about 4 tables, it was almost empty. The hostess tried to seat 6 of us at a 4 person booth and we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. We had a new server who did her best but was obviously new. She never refilled our drinks. There was a server :male with ponytail and glasses who was annoyingly loud. We could hear every word he spoke no matter where he was in the restaurant. No consideration of others. We were completely done eating and ready for a check and my oldest child STILL had not received his food. He did not get $15 fajitas at all and he did not get to eat with us as a family. I had to ask for his food multiple times. When we were ready to go, (we were the only table left) ,I asked 2 servers to have the manager come speak with me about the missing meal and service. The manager would not come. Instead she sent a different server, with excellent customer service skills, and she was able to bring me my sons missing meal (after telling us it would still be a few minutes)in a to go box. She refilled our drinks. No apology, no manager even though we requested her, no discount for the missing meal. Paid our bill and left. We were wondering why the place was empty at 8:00 on a Saturday night..well now I know. I can’t believe the manager wouldn’t come to the table! I am a supervisor and I can tell you that this is not how you keep customers coming back
Worst experience I’ve ever had. Waitress was great but they had her waiting on 12 tables by herself. The food was cold and tasted horrible. All tables near us were complaining and leaving. My salad had a dirt taste to it. I will NEVER go back again and would highly advise the owner to step up.
We visited on a Saturday night. We arrived shortly after 6 and was told they just needed to clear a table for the seven of us. There was a group of 8 that arrived after us who had a reservation, and they were sat right before us at on open table. The bartender came up to help the hostess since multiple groups were waiting to be seated. He took us to our table, made sure we knew how to access the digital menu and told us the drink specials. It took a while for our waiter to come take our drink orders (after 6:30).We got our drinks and ordered chips and queso as an appetizer. While the waiter was taking our order, my 7-year-old spilt some of her chocolate milk. The lid wasnt on all the way, and she was trying to use her straw to mix it. We used all our napkins to clean up the mess, so we asked for more napkins to use with our food. It took a while before we were brought some paper towels (like the kind kept in the restroom). It was taking a long time for our food, and we joked that he must have forgot to put our order in. The waiter came around and said he wasnt for sure what was taking so long but would check on it. The two kids meals came at 7:35 (we were at the restaurant by 6:10). We then had our two oldest kids’ food, half of my husbands, and the toppings of mine brought out 7 minutes later. My fajita was brought out about 5 minutes after that. My moms food was brought out 17 minutes after the kids meals by the manager. I asked her if she knew when our order was placed, and we wondered if he had forgot to put it in. The manager came back and said he had just told her that he had put it in a little late. She said our order had been in 70+ minutes and that it was unacceptable. We were offered one free dessert for the 7 of us.There was no apology. I understand mistakes happen but at least be honest about it. The table of 8 next to us had their food, eaten, and left prior to any of our food showing up. Three other tables had been seated after we had been there, had their food and left before us.The waiter never returned to our table after the manager brought the last meal out. No one checked on the quality of our food or if we needed refills. I had to walk to the back to find the waiter and ask for boxes. While waiting back there, I had 2-3 other servers who asked if they could help and were polite. We were hoping for a quick and easy dinner (hence picking Chilis) to celebrate my husbands birthday, but we should have picked somewhere else. Their special margarita was good, the food was okay, and the service was subpar. I hope our waiter was just having an off night because they weren’t busy.
The worst experience I’ve had at a chili’s ever. Which usually aren’t bad. My wife had sliders and the buns weren’t even separated. My first drink cup from the beginning of the meal was left on the table as well as the empty chip plate and the salsa we had to ask for(it was suppose to be brought with skillet queso which was gonna be my favorite part) throughout the whole meal. Waitress didn’t even come back so we didn’t wait to ask for a box. SUCKED! Will NOT return!
This was my first visit to this one and let me say that my experience was more than Great. My waitress was Ms. Heather and not only did she take in account of the small little details to my order, but the other minor things that I asked for as well. The cook did exceptionally Great with the preparations of my food, could not have been any better. And the Manager, I believe his name is Cale or Kale, but either way he was Great. We wanted to let him know that we were more than Greatfully for the service we received. So if youre looking for a Great experience with Great food and environment, then you definitely want to stop in and see what all the talk is about.
Came during slow hours and it took over 35 minutes to get our food (made up of appetizers as our meals) our table hasnt been pre-bused and weve had to go to the bar to get refills on our beverages. I usually dont leave bad reviews since I myself serve at a restaurant and know bad days happen but this is the worst experience Ive ever had.
I have given a 2 star rating based on service not our food orders. Our server must have been spacey or preoccupied. She pretty much got everything we ordered WRONG ! Repeated our drink order, it was wrong, took our food order, said it correctly but when our food came out it was steak not chicken. Said she even wrote it down wrong. Took food back then we had to wait for the correct order to be made. Asked for two Empty to go cups for our tea and she couldnt get that right either. She brought two to go cups full of tea. All she had to do was LISTEN. They werent even busy. And all of this happened after trying to find somewhere to eat. It was the 3rd place we had gone to EASTER SUNDAY.
First off, our bartender/waiter was great.Last two times I visited my food was subpar. This time I actually said something, I ordered fajitas (16.99), this meal has changed over the years they had a sauce over all the meat and I really didn’t like it. I ended up eating half of the black beans, the tortillas, the sour cream, and the shredded cheese. After sending the food away I had to ask for them to remove the fajitas and charge me for a side instead; however, the manager said he would give me 50% off which he did not. He discounted the item for 25% twice which some might think well 25+25 is 50... well it is actually 44%(ish) and just a way to try to get a smidge more money for some food that I did not eat. Not to mention the manager never even took the time to come to the table regarding the issue he had the waiter tell me everything. I have eaten here at this location 6 times since February 2021, so roughly the past two months, and we will no longer be coming back.
As a trusted reviewer, I cannot in good conscience, recommend this location. To be fair, our waiter was new and messed up my drink order and another persons food order. There was no offer of correcting it. The food wasokay which makes me ask why would anyone eat here with questionable service and okay food? If you eat at this Chilis, hopefully your experience will be better than mine.
This was my first and last time visiting this location. Not because of the food, but because of the service. Our server was less than friendly and in fact seemed to be annoyed that he had to help our table. We were not a big party nor did we have a difficult order but our first contact with him was not “hi what can I get for you” instead he walked past our table and said “it’s gonna be a few minutes”...at that point we didn’t even know he was our server. From there he sat down at the booth across the aisle from us to take our order which we had to yell at him because the restaurant was noisy. I just thought the whole vibe was strange and I’m glad there are other restaurants to choose from in our area.
Ordered and paid for my food online. Didnt end up getting my food until 45 minutes after they said it would be ready, other people waited an hour and just said cancel theirs. They forgot one of my meals, said they would comp it. I appreciate that but when I did finally eat the chicken was deathly dry, the shrimp over cooked, and the beans were still hard as if they werent cooked all the way. Very disappointed
Ordered a well done steak and received a bloody one. Fried pickles were soggy. Had to put them in the air fryer. Would love to post this picture but not sure how. Food was not cooked to order the last time I came here either. Spoke with manager and was told they would send a free meal voucher. Never received it. I guess my business is not important. Quality/presentation of food has gone down hill. Very unlikely to return.
Where to begin, lets start with the good.1. The appetizer we got was the skillet queso, and it was pretty good and the chips were fresh.2. The inside of the restaurant, in the dining area, was clean and the bar seemed well maintained. Now, the bad.1. My partner got the Bacon Avocado Grilled Chicken sandwich. The sandwich was bland and didnt have hardly any avocado and his fries were not fresh and were cold.2. I got the Chicken Enchiladas. The plate was a mess and the beans on top of the enchiladas were visibly dry. The sour cream and cheese sauce only covered the middle enchilada leaving the other two mostly dry and tasteless. The chicken inside the enchiladas were clearly not seasoned and some pieces were dry. The rice was bland and had a weird texture, the beans were bland but otherwise fine.3. Our server was very negligent when it came to hospitality and I had to ask for a refill on my drink after she had passed it a few times while it had been empty. (This would have been much less of a deal if it were more crowded but we were the only table inside.)4. The womens bathroom was messy and one of the toilets were clogged. It also smelled strongly of liquor by the sink area for some reason.Side note: I am also slightly upset because the whole reason I came was for chili which, even though it is still on Chilis official website, is no longer served at this location.
Spent a total of 2 hours at this location for only two people to eat (no alcoholic drinks were ordered so this was strictly a sit down, eat, and go kind of visit). Food was okay. Waited at least 30 minutes after waiting for and FINISHING our entrees for them to bring out a slice of cheesecake that was ordered at the same time as the rest of our food. Waited another 30 minutes on a to-go order of chicken nachos (after being told they didn’t have beef nachos - which was the original order). When we got home, we opened the box to find that the chicken nachos were burnt to a crisp. Won’t be visiting Chili’s again. Hasn’t been great the last several times I’ve visited anyway... won’t be missing much.
Not a good experience. Server was not following covid safe practices by not wearing mask properly, sat drinks down at our table that werent ours, tried to give our food to another table. Food was ok, nothing great. I ordered the add on shrimp for my steak and it came when I was almost through with my meal. Manager came around asking how everything was and we replied not good and she said oh and walked away. Overall bad experience. My margarita was good at least!
*Edit* After posting this review, Brinker guest relations contacted me. I copied them the same review. They sent a form apology and said theyd send along a comp certificate within 2-3 business days... 5 business days ago. Still not here. Now, Im in no hurry to use a comp for a restaurant that was not good, but it seems to me to reflect poor quality from more than just the location, as if the problem is endemic to the organization. Just lost another star, guys.Service was very slow. It took 10 minutes to be seated despite being the only 3 people in line and less than 1/2 of the covid distanced seats filled. The table we did get was dirty. It took a further 15 minutes to get drinks and have our order taken despite being one of only 3 tables in our servers section. When the food arrived, it did so at different times. My mixed fajitas and my kiddos rib combo came out first, followed five to seven minutes later by my wifes shrimp salad. A salad took almost 10 minutes longer than fajitas and ribs... the fajitas had shrimp, too, so it wasnt due to that factor. The food quality was a bit less than expected with the brisket part of the ribs combo having inconsistent smoke flavor (really smokey in some parts, watery in others, sauce tasted a little off), and not getting tortillas for the fajitas for 7-9 minutes after the meat, veg, and accessories were dropped off. When it came time to pay, our table top device wasnt on the table. When the server located it, it was sticky and visibly dirty, enough so that its touch screen had difficulty detecting presses. Its been several years since weve gone to this location. Last time everything was acceptable. Not great, but within tolerance. Were not likely to go back after this.
It was my first time using Chilis curbside pick up. A friend of mine in San Antonio, Texas suggested Chilis. I gave it a 3 star because the pick up process was seamless and the young lady who brought the food out was super pleasant! Otherwise, the food quality gets a 2. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta, the chicken tortilla soup, and a half lemonade/half tea. It was part of the 3 for $10 special! Cant beat that but the food was not enjoyable. The pasta was dry...there was barely any sauce in it. The soup was so full of cheese that was the only flavor could really taste with each spoonful. I tried to fix the pasta with a few spices at home but it was just unsalvageable. The price was the attention getter for me.... Maybe it was because it was 9pm? Not sure but...I felt as though it was thrown together.
Chilies food is really good, but the service is terrible. Yesterday was the first time I visited in two years (horrible service also two years ago) and the wait for the food was so long. I’m not sure if we had a waiter that was new or not, but he seemed kinda lost. Utensils should be one of the first things to be on the table, but instead they were the last, so we had to eat the appetizers with our fingers without also having napkins. We would have asked our waiter for the utensils and napkins, but he was no where to be found, so we couldn’t. Which, if he was new, I can understand, but seeing as nothing has changed in the two years from my last experience, it will probably take me another two years to return. There is no reason why it should take two hours out of my day to eat at a restaurant, especially when it wasn’t that busy in there.
Me and my boyfriend usually come here and have a good time. However we went today & they sat us and we waited on a server to come take our DRINK order for over 15 minutes. A server never made it to our table . But the couple across from us got to place their drink and food order even though they came in after us. We were the only two couples outside. We got up and left and they had the audacity to say have a good day. Uhh no.
Our server was really nice. It was kind of busy so food took a little longer. My son and his friend didnt really care for their burgers, one said it tasted funny. Kind of weird because they LOVE burgers. I always get the shrimp tacos and they were good (a little too much slaw juice). Husband and daughter liked their food. Overall a good experience.
It was a great time with friends there & our waiter was too funny! But always suggest having a Birthday dinner especially if you have a group of people. But the only thing I was surprised at was the facts that they dont take reservations! Actually tried their Spicy Shrimp Tacos which I just finished eating. So you get plenty of food & they have revamp what they offer too. But I would give it 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Chilis is my favorite restaurant! I recently moved to this area and have visited this Chilis a couple of times. The last two times have been very disappointing. This evening was the worst. The service was very slow, not sure that it was the servers issue, but we waited a long time for the appetizer and then our entree. I ordered my favorite and it was terrible. The chicken didnt seem completely cooked, the fries were dried out and the corn on the cob tasted weird. Im giving the extra star because the manager came by our table and quickly took charge of the situation. He graciously took care of the bill as well. I hope things get better...
Our server Brittany was tell us about her personal issues. She was one of the worded servers I have ever had in my life. She got the order wrong for both parties, she did not refill any of our drinks, then she chargered my son, his aunts bill and chargered her his. I dont know how they are still open with that kind of serves.
This restaurant needs to be shut down. I don’t understand why you can’t get anyone to greet you at the door when there are literally zero to maybe 2 tables inside each time we visit. The food is okay at best. I’m confused why their soups are always freezing cold and have to be sent back multiple times. Potato soup should be thick and warm, not liquid like water and freezing. The service is hit or miss. It’s a shame to have such a nice restaurant in Evans that just can’t get it together.
Sorry Naomi, but enough is enough. Naomi has served us at the Evans location for years, and has managed to clean up someone elses mess ups on numerous occassions to keep us coming back. No more. Tired of dirty, or lack of dishes, cold, or no soup, incorrect orders, and just all around poor customer service. This was our every Friday night stop, but we are done with it. Recently brought family with us, and the entire meal was a disaster, very embarrassing, as we were the ones who chose the location. This place is so unprepared no matter what time of day you go there. Please do not offer us any coupons or free meals, we are done with it.
I love this Chilis location. My husband and I did the 2 for $25, which includes appetizer, entree, and a dessert. The time that each portion of the meal came out was fairly quick and reasonable and everything was delicious. This location in particular is not usually extremely busy so the wait times are always pretty low and the service is usually pretty great.
Here now! Food was awful. Waitress told us the “kitchen has been off all day”. We waited forever for service after we were seated and then the food was cold and bad. The manager has yet to come out to apologize and we are sitting here still waiting for a check for the few things we did eat. We will not be back anytime soon. This place needs new management fast!
It started out not so good but we ended up with the sweetest server, Ashley Wethel. She made sure our order was correct and kept checking on us. We also noticed how well she took care of the table beside us. There were two ladies with one being in a wheelchair. Their table was a large table for 6 and the sun was shining really bad on them. She moved them to a smaller table in the back and helped the woman in the wheelchair slide into the booth and moved the wheelchair out of the way. She was a very excellent server and needs to be recognized.
The service was so slow the restaurant wasn’t even busy our waitress was observed sitting down talking to someone in a booth while we never got refills, had to ask for knives for steaks and had to ask for our fries that were not on the plate to begin with. It was a Monday night…
I like Chilis, and I generally like this Chilis, but tonight the chicken in my meal was tough and not very good. That being said, I gave 4 stars because the lady handling the to go orders was exceptionally friendly and helpful. My daughter had some problems when she tried to place the order online. The to go lady fixed the problems, processed the order quickly, and made the whole experience a pleasure instead of a headache. Life is so much better when you are dealing with nice people who are trying to do a good job.
I remember when Chilis used to have pretty good food. The service was decent, she could tell I had hardly touched my meal and did her best to do what she could. The chicken tenders were just not good and my broccoli tasted like it had been in the fridge a couple days too long. The corn was good and as usual I enjoyed the southwestern egg rolls. Its kind of hard to mess those up though.
We were shown to our table...and then immediately we were forgotten about. We finally asked the host that showed us to our table, where is our waitress or waiter. I think we almost woke up the hostess to the living, and he had what looked like negotiations with a lady to wait our table. She did a gushy apology and asked us if we wanted to try some drink and when we declined, the waitress said, I didnt think you two looked like the sort that would drink that anyway. So as we pondered what she meant by that...we each ordered a margarita and a meal. We waited for about 20 mins and finally our food was delivered but still no drink. So once again I flagged down someone to ask our waitress for our drinks. Our waitress finally comes and fake apologizes and said she forgot we had ordered drinks, but she would make sure the bar tender would make good ones, because she knew the bar tender really well. Again we wondered what that meant...was that to mean something extra good, or a little something extra we didnt want, but hoped the tequila would neutralize. It truly was an experiment and we were entertained by the floor show.
Menu does not make it clear that the 3 for 10 lunch special comes with corn-on-the- cob & french fries. Two members at our table of four would have liked the opportunity to changed out those items for keto friendly alternatives. Also, our dressings were served to two of the wrong people.
The food was good as always. They even brewed a fresh pot of coffee for our table to enjoy. The only issue we had was what we witnessed repeatedly while we sat and enjoyed our meal. The hostess used the same rag over and over to clean the tables and the chairs. She would wipe the seats and then move to the tables and when finished she would place the rag under the hostess booth until she needed to clean again. It was never cleaned or placed in a sanitation bucket. Management is to blame not the young hostess. She doesnt know until she is properly trained.
My server was Naomi I believe, I came in on my lunch break around 12:30pm to meet a friend in a VERY empty restaurant. I stood at the door for a good 10 minutes before I was seated by a very friendly cook. Yes, the cook sat me.He gave me a booth in the bar area where another couple was sitting. I waited for a serve hoping I d be able to order my food for my friend and I before she arrived. 15 min passed by and my friend had arrived to meet me for lunch. Still no server or anyone trying to help us.I then watch as the server is trying to tend to the other table and then to a table that was seated after us. As she is quickly moving by our table she says oh, hey I will be right back with yall.So assuming she was coming back we waited a few more minutes and she finally came to our table. We are now ordering our food and drinks and it is 1:15pm, my friend and I both order strawberry president Margarita because it was a part of the $5 Thursday margarita. She bring back one strawberry and one lime. I took the lime giving my friend the strawberry because the experience was already going so bad. Patiently waiting our food which I ordered a salad and she ordered a medium steak. almost another 30 minutes goes by before the food arrived and I had to leave. Trying to flag her down, in the EMPTY restaurant was a pain, but I managed to get her attention to get my check and the box. I paid for my food and left my friend to finish hers while I had to get back to my job. My friend then tells me that she couldnt find the server to get her check and had to ask another employee to find her so she could pay.I am very very displeased in the way I was treated as I usually enjoy Chilis experiences.
I went to Chilis on 6/15/19 with a group of friends and we had Sam as our waiter. The service was terrible Sam was very later with our drinks and appetizers. We had to wait multiple times for drinks and he would just leave our old glasses on the terrible causing us to have no room for our appetizers. Our food was brought late and it was cold also they messed up on my boneless wings meal and instead of barbecue they gave me buffalo I told them that my order was wrong and they took it back and said they would fix it and apologized. Well when they brought me my new barbecue bonless wings all they did was throw barbecue sauce over the buffalo that they originally brought. They also put that on my receipt that I asked for buffalo barbecue sauce boneless wings which is incorrect. I will not go back and will not reccomend this to anyone!
We had a wonderful time at Chilis! The food was delicious. We had fajitas and buffalo Bleu Chicken Crispers. Also got some delicious chips and salsa, the best delicate chips around! Plus we had the most wonderful server, Jamie. She was great! We also got to meet another server Meredith who was super sweet. A very enjoyable evening. Thank you so much!
The staff was very friendly. However I am very glad I get an hour for my lunch break because it took 30 minutes to get my to go order and I was one of only a couple customers in the restaurant. There were several employees just standing around. Also they gave me the wrong dressing for my salad.
Usually a good experience at this Chili’s location. In the past we’ve had some issues with bad wait staff but recently all of our waiters/waitresses have been fantastic.Food has always been relatively consistent. I either order Southwest egg rolls or fajitas. One time my fajita steak was basically served raw but they took it back and fixed it quickly, no big deal. The chicken quesadilla I tried was dry as a bone though so never ordering that again.I’ve ordered to-go multiple times in the past and my food has always been ready on my arrival (typically takes 20 min).Their online ordering website though has recently become buggy so I have to order certain things I want over the phone instead. Maybe Chili’s online team has fixed that now.
My friend and I went on the May 2nd for lunch. There was one server in the whole restaurant and she also was bartending. When we first walked in we stood waiting to be seated only for the cook to come out and seat us at a dirty table. The food took extremely too long to come out. Not sure what was going on we Normally get exceptional service but I don’t think we will be going back.
Service was good. Meat from the steak fajitas with horrible very fatty and couldnt chew it. They advertise 48% more meat but thats not all that great when 100% of your beef for the fajitas is fatty and you cant even eat it. Turned around and ask for chicken chicken was dry I would not recommend this at all. Manager and the server were very accommodating
My boyfriend and I ordered an appetizer. A few minutes later our waitress took our entree order. We waited a while and then our entrees came...no appetizer. She asked well what was the appetizer? And asked if we still wanted it. We said no, we already have our food and it would go to waste. As we were leaving, the manager came out with a to-go bag with the forgotten appetizer and apologized to us. We were like okay cool! Thank you! And left happy. Fast-forward to the next day, I heated up some chips and opened the salsa. As soon as I dipped a chip in the salsa, it came back up with a soggy tortilla chip on my chip. I feel like they took the salsa from someones table who didnt eat it all and gave it to us. I feel like they were being smartasses because while we were there they brought me garlic toast that was completely black on the bottom and we sent it back...and they brought me the soggiest garlic toast Ive ever seen. We are really disappointed because we drove 45 minutes to get there because this was the best Chilis we had been to in the Augusta area. We will not be back to this location.I should also add that I have worked in food service for 6 years, so I know bad days happen, and customers sending things back gets annoying, but they werent even busy when we went and this was just completely unacceptable. The only good thing I can say was that our waitress was very kind, but man...dont give us leftover salsa that someone else has already taken all the chunks out of. It was just straight liquid.
Was seated, waited 15 min for server to take drink order, server came to table reaking of cigarette smoke put his hands all over silverware as was putting on table. Other customers were getting up to get their own water cause no server to attend table. This was at lunch time to make matters worse. Only a handful of customers in restaurant.
We have frequented this restaurant often for the last five years or so but yesterday we decided we will never go back. I ordered a coke and got about halfway through it when I realized a plastic LID was shoved down into the cup. The manager said someone must have shoved it in before putting it in the dishwasher. She didn’t seem to bothered by it and our server put the blame on someone else. Very disappointed.
Great location, ok burger, abysmal experience.I stopped into this Chili’s after a long day to get a burger and a beer. Upon stepping into the restaurant I knew I wanted to eat at the bar because I was by myself, and since the bar was empty I figured I could at least engage with some small talk with the bartender.Wow was I wrong. He couldn’t have been less interested in serving me, and I was the only one sitting at his station! He did however seem really interested in his phone and goofing around with his coworkers in front of the kitchen. At least the burger was ok, but next time I want a burger I’ll be going to Farmhouse Burger. That place always delivers on food quality and experience. And if your looking for something to eat right next to Evans Town Center - like I said, the restaurant is in a great location - go five minutes down the road to Pho Bac’ or The Pizza Joint. They are much better restaurants.
Naomi is the only reason we come to this restaurant. She always knows who we are and what we like to eat. Says Hi before we even sit down. Her kind of service is above and beyond. She is the bartender you come to visit because she cares. Chilis owes her for service and loyalty of customers. Management has no idea what a gem they have with his young lady. She knows what you like and who you are the next time you come in. Priceless.
The worst 40 dollars I have ever spent. My girlfriend and I got carry out. They told us the wait would be 10-15 minutes but it took at least 35 minutes. We ordered our favorite dish, Cajun chicken pasta, and it had barely any sauce and was watery. It was just a little disappointing coming from one of our favorite restaurants.
Chili’s as a whole is truly a hit or miss kind of place. Tonight was horrible. $65 down the drain for undercooked steak and salmon. Queso dip was really watery. To go order was sloppy and not on time, and we were missing items. Last time with chili’s. If you’re feeling lucky, go ahead. Otherwise I would suggest going elsewhere.
I’m not okay with the General Manager telling my Granddaughter that she violated rules. But in all reality you are supposed to give the workers a break after the 4th or by the 5th hour to go on break. It is CERTAINLY NOT OKAY EITHER FOR YOU TO GO AND EAT WHILE YOU( the Manager) to eat either while you don’t clock out. I am certainly telling my friends about this situation and they will not becoming here to eat either.
I typically have good service at this location, but the food keeps me coming back. Tonight is the first time in a long time I have been disappointed with my food. I ordered the quesadilla explosion salad and the lettuce was soggy. I love the southwest egg rolls and cajun chicken pasta. I should have just stuck with one of those...
I ordered a to go meal, and the service was unbelievably bad. They told me that the food would be ready in 15 minutes. Well, I ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes for it. It wasnt the first time this happened either. I recommend Applebees if youre in Evans. Its essentially the same thing but they will actually bring you your food.
Had free chips and dip but the chip was too salty. Asked waitress for future reference if I can ask to have the chip without salt and she said yes, they Will refry them to lessen the saltiness. (I wish they would do without IT when they prepare them, I dont think ive ever had that issue at the mexican restaurants.) And the chicken southwestern soup was okay, only had two pieces of chicken, almost had to dig for it.Anyways, this time IT was just my 8 yr old daughter came with me, so we ordered Mac and cheese (which was great eating, cant go wrong with Mac and cheese, right?) And had the hamburger Togo. I have a hospitality coming up at the end of this week so I might try the other chilis in Evans to see if its better.
My good God!!!!! This place is by far one of the worst dining experiences i ever had the mispleasure of being a part of in almost 30 years. When I walked in I was struck by a smell of cheap beer that im assuming was spilt seconds before my arrival. Next thing I was met by a less than enthusiastic greeter who I assume would have rather been at a dental appointment than at work. After my wife and I were seated we waited for over 15 minutes before someone came and asked for drinks besides the fact that this was way to long be waiting for drinks in a less than packed house we were stuck with what i can only assume was the worlds most incompetent wait staff imaginable as the word Coke is foreign in this place, after a long translation that coke means coca cola we waited for drinks to arrive and in great chilis tradition the soda was more flat than a pancake that has been sat on than a elephant. I order a simple Bacon burger which had to be brought out by the damn manager our waiter was so behind only to find out the damn thing was RAW!!! Good god almighty, this place is horrible, dont go here as a matter of fact dont even look at the parking lot cause youll probably get food poisoning just for doing that.
Everything about this visit to Chilis was perfect. So many smiling faces and such a joy to be around. A huge shout out to my server Stevie!! He not only made me feel like friend Ive known for years. But he turned a normal stop and eat into an EXPERIENCE. Youre going places kiddo!! Thanks to everyone there for a great time, hard work, and everything yall do!
Highly upset with Chilis. My daughter has never called in. Today we are under severe weather warnings for tornados and severe thunderstorms that are to last the rest of the day. My childs life is more important than the job. Of course we can drive her but ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE when the weather is as severe as expected. A tornado doesnt care whose driving a car, in my opinion it is not worth the risk. My daughter is going to work, but I am totally upset with the fact she was told she would be fired if she called in.
Food was good but booth was cramped, table was too close to the seat and girls were squished. Tried scooting table (sometimes they move) but it was attached to the wall.It was uncomfortable eating with table squished up against me and friends dinning with me.Restraunt was full so switching tables wasnt possible.
Arrived with greater than an hour before attending show at Jabez Hardin. Service was extremely slow. Food finally arrived 35 minutes later. We hurried part of our meal and immediately asked for to-go box. Spoke with manager who offered a trite apology blaming kitchen problems on slow computers. No comp was offered
The bathrooms are dirty. If you look up its very dusty. So you know some particles are falling on your food. The entire resturant needs to scubbed down. Tables, seats, floors, menus, condiments containers. At least with Lysol wipes. The food can be better. Poor management
We were here for a business lunch. Surprisingly, the place was nearly empty. Good for us, in that, there was no wait. I hadnt eaten at Chilis in a while so I was very happy to see that they had changed up the menu a bit. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen, though. Everyone who ordered soup received cold soup. So, they all had to be given back for a warm soup. I heard groans and grumbles throughout the lunch. Thankfully, I tried the Explosion Quesadilla Salad, it was awesome. It was huge and fulfilling.
Disappointed in this visit, ribs were undercooked and cold to the touch, sent them back and they returned no more than 2 minutes later still cold in the center but warm on the outside. Service was attentive and good but disappointed in the food and as that is what you go to a restaurant for make the visit seem a waste.
I would not say it was my best experience the waitress was not very helpful service was poor waitress handled a dog the then went to get food and returned never seeing her wash her hands or anything the two partys paying for our meal were not properly charge for the food witch was poor standard had to get all our food lets just say it was a poor experience and my family was not happy we were very dissatisfied with the over all service and behavior of the waitress
We went here for dinner and the service wasnt the best. They kept repeating everything we said and yet they still got our order wrong. Food wasnt the best, it was greasy and salty. The kids started playing with the tablet thing on the table, we were unaware that we would get charged for the game that the kids were playing.

2022-05-31Its been a while since Ive been to this particular Chilis because previous experiences were lackluster, but I recently went to a Chilis in another town and the food was good so I decided to give our local one another try... I really wish I hadnt. To start with, they gave my daughter her kids menu (its paper and theyre SUPPOSED to be disposable) and when she opened it we quickly realized it had been used previously - it had coloring and writing on it and bits of food markings. We asked for another one and explained why and they brought a new one out but didnt bother apologizing or explaining why she was given a dirty, used one to begin with.Next, my husband ordered the Texas Cheese Fries as an appetizer. It came out completely overcooked (see photo). The cheese was rock hard and crispy, though they did sprinkle it with fresh green onions. As my meal, I ordered the original with beef Skillet Queso. The skillet came out with barely enough queso to cover the skillet, I couldnt even really dip my chips because Id immediately hit the skillet. In the photo I posted, I scraped the queso back with a spoon to show how shallow it was served - the photo was taken before I even attempted to eat any. (See photo) It also tasted really bad, like something was wrong with it - Ive ordered it recently at another location and it didnt taste like that, so I know it isnt just the recipe. My husbands mashed potatoes were served at a temp that felt cooler than room temperature. My daughter ordered the kids quesadilla and it came out completely inedible. Her tortilla was as crispy as the tortilla chips. The cheese inside was completely hard and overcooked. (See photo)My sons ordered the Seafood Alfredo & the Bacon Avocado Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Both boys were happy with their meal, but when my middle son asked for a to-go box for his leftovers he was given a box that contained a long hair (seen in photo) so he decided hed rather just leave the food.

2022-03-11If I could give no stars I would. Ordered the beef nachos to go and this is how I received them. I called the restaurant and all they could do was offer to send a voucher in the mail,, instead of a refund, they couldn’t remake them because they were already closed. I don’t understand how the cook even thought this was acceptable to serve to someone. Definitely will NEVER be eating here again!!!!

2022-06-23Had the worst experience for lunch today. We were seated on the bar side for lunch on a Thursday. So needless to say, it was not very busy, apart from a group of camp kids on the other side. The hostess brought us our drinks. After about twenty minutes a server dashed by and said she would be by to take our orders. Continued to wait. She asked a gentleman at the bar three times if he wanted food. Another server assisted the tables on the opposite side of the bar (we were near outdoor dining). When we asked her if she could order, she proceeded to exclaim as to how she was the only one working and was very busy. She then turned around and dashed off. Several more minutes pass before she comes back around. My mother, whom we were taking out for her birthday, said she realizes that theyre short-handed, but that she should get someone else to help. The waitress then snaps at us that shes actually the bartender, other servers didnt show up, and its not her fault. We couldnt get a word in edge wise. We were telling her to take a breath and calm down. She then stormed off and told whoever in the back that she wasnt serving us. Told the manager that we yelled at her (I assure you we did not). My mother went to the manager or whoever else was working the bar and told her that we were leaving. This manager/server said we should not have yelled at her server. My mother assured her that we did not yell at her, and we were only trying to get her to actually take our order. The manager would not let my mother get a word in before she informed us that maybe this isnt the place for you to eat.I have contacted corporate, and I can assure that I will not be returning. I did not need to hear the servers life story because she was overwhelmed. But after 20-30 minutes of waiting for her to even take our order was just beyond ridiculous.

2022-02-05Youd think for a big chain like Chilis, youd have the same expectations regardless where you are when you visit. For this one, youll have to recalibrate those expectations. Possibly the worst Chilis in the entire country.Ever bite into a hamburger just to taste (and feel) the orange cooking grease oozing out of it? Well, you will find that here. Needed lots of extra napkins just to mop up the grease on the plate. The soft drinks and the beer were flat. Chicken wings were grossly overcooked.I dont leave negative reviews after one or two bad experiences, but all three have been quite similar. This is an abomination of an otherwise great chain.

2021-11-27Salad was all brown and stringy. Hamburger was freezer burnt. The mex bowl barely had any rice but a bunch of the chip strips. The waitress was busy doing everything else in the restaurant (helping at the bar and helping train a new employee) she was very friendly and seemed to be trying her hardest. Our stomachs hurt later that evening. 🤢

2022-03-31Based on what I am reading, this particular Chilis is a problem. We ate there last night and the place is pretty run down and feels dirty. The silverware my wife received was in a paper pouch and found it dirty when she removed it from the paper pouch. She asked the waitress to exchange it and actually saw the waitress walk to the station where they prep silverware for tables, pull the silverware back out of the pouch and wipe it off with a napkin and bring it back. While my food was fine hers was not. She ordered a Southwest salad and the meal came to the table and frankly looked wilted and and mushy. She is not a picky eater. She began to eat it anyways and said it wasnt very good. My wife will not return food in a restaurant. She soldiered on and ate about a 1/4 of the meal. This morning I woke up to her vomiting in the bathroom. This is the second time we have eaten at this Chilis in Evans and based the other reviews, dates of the reviews and replies by management - they are only paying lip service not taking any actions to correct the problems. We have dined at this location once before and the last visit was adequate but certainly not good. We will not be dining at this location again.

2021-11-24Worst experience! The restaurant was not busy at all. Maybe 5 or 6 different groups. We were the largest party and we had 7 in our group (5 kids and 2 adults). We get seated in Taylor’s section. She takes 10 mins to get our drinks to us. Took over an hour to only get 5 out of the 7 meals and then an additional 30 mins to get my daughter’s salad and husbands fajitas. My husband asked for silverware. She grabbed 1 so he asked for another. She said “Oh, I thought I grabbed enough” and walked away to get another one. I don’t know where she disappeared to because it took forever to get it. My oldest daughter was served this raw burger. She began to throw up before we ever left the parking lot. We will NEVER be back. Chili’s has gone down hill.
