Great prices on produce and even tofu in this very Latin American focused grocery store. A year ago the meat selection looked fresher, but I think thats because we tried to shop on a Saturday. Be ready to speak a little Spanish for clearer communication. Its a joyous place to shop!
The prices are incredible. The vegetables are not necessarily the freshest, and when I buy, say, some broccoli (at 99 cents a pound!) that doesnt seem too long for the world, I just cook it right away. The music and ambience are great. Once I left my billfold there (o sea, se me perdio mi cartera) and they kindly kept it for me in customer service. Not a single penny was missing.
For fresh vegetables and fruit and herbs, this is the absolute best place in Atlanta for price/value. It consistently offers such at 1/2 the price or less than Publix and Kroger. Fresh reasonable seafood too. It has a wide selection of vegetables, fruits and more. It is far from the nicest interior you might find, but dont let that deter you from going. Once you shop there, you will never want to go back to Publix, Kroger or Whole Paycheck again.
I absolutely love this place. The food, employees, and environment is amazing. Having fresh/local foods and getting ingredients from all different places of the world, makes it such a fun grocery day. The price tags are crazy good and the check outs are fast-pace. I spent $52 and got way more items that I would have at other grocer. I know that most grocery stores are conveniently closer and more common, but if you ever have time to go to this place, take it from me, do it. I usually visit here once a month and it is always worth the trip.
Great produce selection and prices, and I love, love, love the (also very inexpensive) hot kiosk between the produce and the meat counter. Pick up wonderfully prepared meats, gorgeous cilantro and some soft corn tortillas and make the best tacos you have ever encountered. The fish counter boasts a big selection of whole fish, with usually overall good quality, but occasionally it can be less than ideal. This place is not my favorite for staple groceries, as the middle part of the store is somewhat disorganized and the prices for my other everyday items are a bit much.
Great variety, quality, and prices for meats and produce. I would get all my fruits, vegetables, and meat here if only it were a shorter drive. However, not everything in the store is cheaper than their bigger chain store cousin. My first time here, I didnt get the VIP card (cashier ran out of them) but its a good idea to have because some VIP discounts are pretty significant. I also finally found some hard-to-find kitchen wares here. Highly recommend.
We went here for fruits and bought more items. The market is large,it used to be a Publix. They have lots of fruits and vegetables from different countries, especially Latin foods. It is usually crowded, but we get out quickly. Definitely a good place to go for variety of foods. They have good prices too. Will definitely be back. It is located in Northeast Plaza. Will go back.
I enjoy shopping there the employees are very nice the food fruits, vegetables, chicken, meats, and the fish is fresh. I must give complements to sea food department. Theres an older gentleman there he is great. The mext time i come to shop i will get his name i look for him today he wasnt there. The prices are great. Thank you all for being so kind.
I was here at this location today and ready to pay for my grocery. This Chinese lady standing right behind my back and literally breathing at my side face. I am not sure why shes doing that because her husband is like 4 feet away in line. I guess I look like her husband? When I told her to back-off, she started cursing at me in really nasty way. These people have totally no idea that we r actually in an extremely bad condition - the pandemic. Virus can be contagious simply by breathing right at another person directly; and thats what she was doing to me while I was in line. She found this extremely cute and funny. Never shop at this place again, customers are really cheap.
If youre going to go here make sure you schedule several hours to look around. They have fruits and vegetables that youve never seen before along with a wide variety of Meats and Seafood. The dry goods section is nothing short of incredible and frozen foods are more interesting than you could ever imagine.
Their prices are a lot lower than other farmers market. Although this place is like farmers market for Latinos and sometimes it doesnt look very clean. There is usually a smell I dont like when you are about to enter the store and most times there has been water in front of the store, dont know the source. Other than that their prices are the best but please watch the screen while checking out. Some items have big and small sizes and sometimes the system only recognize the big size even when they scan the small size. It happened to me 3 times with the zomi palmoil so now I know better.I will also advise you to get their VIP customer card if you shop there alot. Its free and it helps you save money.
The produce and meat are much cheaper here than anywhere else that I have personally been! I also really love the variety of Latin foods, I am always in search of, that I can find here! The back of the store smells of fish, but only because seafood is being cut fresh and bagged for you on the spot.
Customer service terrible. No managers on Sunday. All they can say “ go to customer service “ we can’t wait 30 min to pay for groceries and then get yogurt that is no good at all. No body care about customers here. Do at your own risk. Be careful. They don’t deserve one star at all.
This is a nice place to shop and there are so many nice products. but the only complaint is the litter around the front entrance. They need someone to pick up the trash people throw everywhere . i recommend a trash can because the litter is uninviting in appearance and is embarrassing.
The rudest staff. And a manager that looked like she was 15. I tried calling the number listed, in hopes that I could at least speak to an adult, but it’s always busy. I’ve been a long time customer but I’m done with this place. They treat people like they’re garbage.
Though smaller than the market out by 285, it has a great selection of Hispanic foods. It has Asian, too. Wide variety of meats and affordable produce, but you gotta pick through it. The location close to the city, reachable by Lindbergh Marta station and a short ride on bus 39 is a boon to convenience. Bus 39 runs frequently, so dont even bother to check the schedule!
Do you like fish? City Farmers Market Atlanta has more different types of fish than... well, ANYWHERE!!! Speckled trout. Striped and smallmouth bass. Red snapper. Parrot fish (whatever that is). And many, many more varieties of fish. Fresh-never frozen! Which incidentally tastes MUCH better! And City Farmers Market Atlanta will clean and filet the fish FOR you! And seriously, they have well over 20 different yours of fish that you will NEVER see at any other supermarket. And City Farmers Market has all different types of vegetables and fruit. Exotic vegetables, stuff you simply never see. Very good, very fresh fruit, including muscadines and scuppernongs, my absolute favorite fruits!! Me, I typically shop at Krogers, Walmart, or Publics for food. But see here is the thing. City Farmers Market Atlanta caters primally to Latins-Spanish people. So, the have PLENTY of items you just wont see at a conventional supermarket. The place is huge, and it is packed with many, many items you just do not see. Especially the fish-and by the way, they also sell LIVE fish and crabs! No seriously, City Farmers Market Atlanta is definitely worth the trip. But bring plenty of money. The prices are actually pretty cheap, but there is just so MUCH you will want to buy!!! Check City Farmers Market Atlanta out. It is DEFINITELY worth the trip!!!
I am from out of state, here in Georgia because my son was in a terrible accident in Marietta, Georgia. We have been Kenneston Hospital Truama Unit, here at Shepherds for his rehabilitation for 93 days so far.About a week ago I found this store by completely accidental. (Meaning I got lost). I decided to check it out.THE PRICES ARE AMAZING!!! I REALLY WISHED THAT I HAD GOTTEN LOST AND FOUND THIS STORE WHEN WE FIRST ARRIVED!!We live in Florida, where there are NOT any taxes on food. The first time that I went shopping here in Georgia, not only did I get sticker shocked by the prices, but then also got hit by the high tax on groceries at the register.I CANT BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT WE HAVE SPENT ON GROCERIES.We are going back to Florida this weekend. I cant imagine how much money we could have saved!! (Maybe our savings and checking wouldnt have been depleted.)EMPLOYEES WERE VERY NICE AND HELPFUL!!!!!
The customers or employees dont care about social distancing. They will pass behind you on line to take a shortcut. The carts are not sanitized after use. But most importantly if you dont speak Spanish and asked for help they will pretend they dont understand and the managers are no help.
A farmers market that you have probably have never heard of but you really should know about. It doesnt have the variety of the Buford Farmers Market or the Dekalb Farmers Market but its respectable in its own right.Located in a shopping center (with goodwill), you probably cant even see it from the main road. It has a great selection of Mexican and some Asian groceries. They produce is outrageously cheap, though the freshness isnt quite up to par as compared to your neighborhood publix or Kroger meaning you shouldnt expect a long shelf life. I love coming here for limes, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños (seriously cheap). They have seafood, and it appears to be fairly fresh. You get a pretty good selection of fish at great prices. You also find an assortment of cut and marinaded meats. This is where I get meat for tacos or fajitas. They have a couple of aisles with Asian goods and an assortment of spices. If you live nearby, its definitely worth a visit. I think youll be surprised by the choices and prices.
This place felt more like a regular grocery store than a farmers market. The produce section was limited, but they do have a wide variety of meats in he butcher area. If youre looking to cook an authentic Latin meal youd probably find all the ingredients you needed here.
Checking out takes ridiculously long. The long lines run down the isles. Sometimes I have to bag the groceries myself too. I’m here now I’ve been standing in line for 35 mins. They should have a separate line for Wic users because that’s what seems to always slow lines down for way too long. And I’m about to bag the groceries my self. Yay.
I go here everytime I need some latin flavor! My favorite Super Market in Atlanta. I mainly go for the fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables. As a Puerto Rican growing up on the island we ate lots of root vegetables such as Yucca and seafood too, we also used fresh herbs like culantro (we call it recao). City Farmers Market is the only place I go to get all my ingredient when making Puerto Rican food. Love it!
The staffs at this location are so lazy,I work close to this location and go there during my break I dont get to go on break until later,4 different occasions I walked in there 20minutes to closing, they tell me I cant come in because they are closed even though I explained to them I just wanted to pick one thing up,we dont have a farmers market where I live I really dont have any reason to go in that store.something needs to be done😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

2022-06-21I went here simply because it was closer than the Caribbean market I typically go to . Right off the bat, excellent range for international groceries . Many of the items from my Caribbean cuisine were presentHowever , they need to take a closer look at their inventory , some good were rotting , An example is Boniato. Also the staff were not very friendly or approachable .Good huge place but room for improvement . .Edit : reducing rating , produce begun to rot a day after purchase . Please go elsewhere .

2021-09-26First of all, EWWWW.I have been to all the farmers markets around Atlanta Metro and this was a negative experience I did not expected. The market is small and crowded with no room people to move freely. A lot of the shoppers don’t wear masks either. This means you’ll constantly be bumping into other shoppers or waiting on aisles clogged with shopping carts to clear before you can move. The produce is simply disgusting given the unsanitary conditions it’s kept in. Most of it is rotten like the tomatoes, onions, peppers, etc. It seemed like they sourced the cheapest and lowest qualities produce to sell here and never took the steps to clean it.If not rotten, a lot of the foods will still be covered in pesticides. It is quite repulsive. I am not sure how the market is allowed to operate given how unhealthy it is.They have these large open top trash cans with flies right next to the produce. This is how germs spread to food and lead to diseases.I could go on and on but you get the point. Save your time and money and shop elsewhere. You’re better off at Walmart or Publix than here.Eww.

2022-01-12This place is great for Latin & Caribbean groceries. I buy all of my Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 Sofrito ingredients here. It’s the only place I found “locally” that carries Culantro (different than cilantro). Wish they carried the sweet peppers (Ají dulce). I haven’t been able to find those yet…The avocados and mangos are plentiful and priced right, among other fruits and vegetables - those 2 just happen to be super expensive at the other stores 🥑 ❤️ 🥭 and also my favorite. The small kitchen market in the back of the store offers a nice variety of Spanish pots (Dutch oven) and other Spanish cooking staples you generally can’t find in American stores.Last, the meat market sells oxtails 🙌🏼. It’s a win for me!The Only downside to this store are the organic options are minimal.

2022-03-16I really like this store for convenience and prices. It can be hit or miss like regular grocery stores but what turns me off from coming here is the treatment from some employees and customers. Looking at you as if you can only be of certain type of race to shop there. Its more so the customers than employees especiallyif its crowded. Apparently excuse me doesnt translate to enough languages... id recommend coming in the mornings on weekdays. Good luck on weekends.

2021-07-17Hidden jewels in side this hispanic neighborhood farmers market. The music 🎶 is lively & the staff are friendly. I usually buy my dry goods in bulk for the season at most Markets. They have a butcher& fresh seafood. The market appears to be old & in need of renovations & updated floors & shelves but its fine because the older look definitely gives it its character. Checkout their teas & try out their bulk seasonings.
