The smoke smell in the room was so strong that we all had headaches and had trouble sleeping. The beds were clean-ish but that’s about the only thing. The lobby area looked great, sadly the rest of the place didn’t. You are also asked to sign a paper stating the staff can come in your room. I don’t recommend!
What a disappointment with this place! It was so expensive to have a room last minute and it was the worst place Ive stayed. I was shocked 😲 I learned my lesson to not stay in cheap hotels anymore 😐 it smelled like urine as soon as I walked in the room and everything except the bed looked nice.
The condition of the room was terrible. Unsanitary toilet set and floor with black mold like surfaces. The windows and the drapes were extremely dirty and the room had bad odor. I was extremely disappointed about the conditions of the rooms . The hallway of the hotel had dirty smelly carpet. The entire hotel needs deep cleaning and upgrading. We were changed to a somewhat better room for additional cost. The attendant told us that the reason was because we choose a lower rate room. Unbelievable that price equates to how clean of a room you get.
Hotel was old and outdated. Musty odor in hotel. Walking in to hotel back door was human/dog feces in the middle of the hall. Water in bathroom was brown in the toilet and sink. Beds were hard. Pull out mattress for sofa was worn out and needed replaced. Hotel was more like a mom and pop family owned hotel than a big business. Would never stay in a clarion hotel again. First and last time.
This hotel is awesome. The front desk staff is very polite and helpful. They make the check in process easy and get you in your room quickly. They require a $50 deposit if paying with cash that you get back at check in. The pool and gym isnt open yet but hopefully soon. The laundry is also out of order. The cleaning staff is cool. They come to clean room everyday. I dont personally like them to come in everyday so I just grab what I need and clean the room myself. The beds are super soft and comfortable. Big rooms. Shower pressure is nice!
1st had roaches in deawera and fridge. Switched rooms same floor other end of hall was cleaner got moved and almost settled when ants ran across the bes got a refund and headed to a different hotel. The pics online are false. Pool is closed and very very small. I wouldnt recommend anybody staying here...
Was check in and charges a early check in fee then checked in to a room furniture dirty with big stains mold mildew I’m rooms on ceiling changed rooms that room had mold mildew in the bath tub jets and drains and the ceiling reached checked in at about 530 6am and about 1030 11 walked down the hall asked the GM to have them clean it come back after my meeting it was never serviced at all no room clean no nonthin I pack my things and left asked for refund never got a call back hotel stay very unsatisfied will never stay at this location again
Affordable price but poor and dirty condition. The surfaces in the room were dirty. Hair and trash could be visibly seen in the floor. The pull out sofa bed was filthy with trash and food crumbs. We cleaned the room and bed ourself and purchased linen and sheets so we felt comfortable. If other hotels were not sold out and our reservation refundable we would’ve checked out and stayed at another hotel with a more modern look, cleaner, better quality and service.
The hotel is right off the highway which is great and is close to plenty of food. The outward appearance is nice, but does not match the look of some of the rooms. I does look like they are renovating though. I had to have one of my rooms change three times due to the rooms being filthy. I have to say though that getting the issue resolved was easy and Edwin made sure that I was happy with the switch before completing the move. I think that once theyve completed the renovations it will be very nice.
The gentleman/night time manager has been very helpful and works tirelessly to ensure a pleasant, safe stay. It is truly a non-smoking hotel, and I don’t have to worry about smelling like smoke the next day! During my past two stays, the rooms have been clean and ready at checkin.
Outdated!! Furniture old looking. Toilet was running, water barely coming out the shower head, and ac/ heater constantly making a clicking noise while on. Vent in the closet unscrewd and hanging off wall. The hall way floors are flithy and fitness room closed. Will not be returning to this property.
If I could rate 0 stars I would. It was a horrible stay for 3 nights the blankets weren’t even white they’re turning color, the bathroom is dirty omg the tub was so old & they didn’t change my shower curtain so it was dirty brown. The room stinks it has a weird odor. Nothing good about this place it needs to be shut down & renovated
Positive: Seems like a small mom/pop operation. Would stay away from this hotel next time. Negative: we Check in at 03:20 AM and took about 20 minutes? There was no comforter for the couch/bed, when we ask for the sheet, the attendant hesitate to give us the sheers? Its suppose to be a 2.5 stars? We would not stay at this hotel again.
They stay was nice and decent. Restaurants was in close distance to the suites. It was convenient to get to my destination. I would give 5 stars but I will only give them 4 stars because I had to buy my family and I breakfast when they stated that breakfast was free. BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE! I was told that I had to pay for hot breakfast.
Motel is dirty! Elevators smell like piss. Right from the beginning things just didn’t go right employees wants to ignore you and talk in front of you in a different language without even acknowledging you. And when they do go to help you they’re rude. The hotel just doesn’t seem safe to me and I thought maybe I could deal with it if the roads are pretty decent. Not to my surprise I was let down again I checked out never return. The first day a little more in some good service I feel safe from sleeping. Avoid this place.
Great location, Ok rooms!Needs hallway paint & new carpeting...so old reminds you of the movie The Shinning Those shower seats are disgusting & should be removed, very unsanitary as they are NOT clean. Lobby clean hotel staff seem very nice & helpful just remodel already!
Rain water was pouring through the ceiling and soaking the hallway carpets.Breakfast was not included.Toilets didnt want to flush. Shower and sink slow to drain.Bedbug infestation. Will not go back and you should avoid. Sleep in your car before staying at this Clarion.
Greeted by the front desk clerk and was informed about the smoking policy (ok we don’t smoke) AS SOON as we get on the elevator with our FIVE MONTH OLD it smelled like straight weed and smelt like it all the way down the hall and into our room. If it was refundable and wasn’t after midnight we would have left and went somewhere else. DO NOT STAY HERE! It isn’t that clean and look awful!!
Was good except for the fact that staff kept going in my room while I wasnt there cause they thought that I was smoking in the room but never found any trace of cigarettes or anything else being smoked in the room. You really should try a different approach and not assume everyone breaks the rules. I dont enjoy my personal space being invaded and you always waiting until I was gone to go in there. Not cool!!!!!
I stayed here for the weekend while visiting my family on vacation. This place was great. The staff was pleasant. The maids didn’t speak English well but they made sure they got you what you needed. The hot breakfast came in handy so I didn’t have to spend extra cash on food. The beds were solid and the location was good. The decor was moderate but I think they are in the process of updating, so I will give them a pass on that. It was clean and a good price for the room size. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.
The breakfast is quite different from the pictures. Swimming pool is not open and dirty. Fitness room is not open. Smoking smell at bedside furniture in my “non-smoking” room. Somebody was knocking a door loudly with screaming and yelling at 4:00 am.Do not stay at this suite. My worst experience ever!
The location and comfortable bed made this 2 night stay ok. But will not be staying here again. Too much money to have to be waken up by extremely loud people in the hallways. We were located on the 1st floor right by the front desk and our first night there were a lot of people in the hallway that were extremely loud. After calling front desk you would think it would have been addressed but it carried on all throughout the night. The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned at all. There were hairs and other dirt particles around the bathroom floor and tub.I would recommend staying elsewhere where you can be more comfortable.
The rooms were clean, the lady up front was super nice, plenty of parking. Was impressed with amenities and accommodations the hotel provided including a swimming pool, fitness area, full bar and breakfast. I would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely return.
After we checked in, we went to our room. As soon as we opened the door, we smelled a strong cigarette smoke. This is a non smoke hotel. They let us change to another room, it was ok this time.We had a suite, but as you can see from the photo, this has nothing close to a regular suite.Hot breakfast is $5.
Positive: Nothing at all. Worst experience this far. Negative: On our 1st night there, housekeeping came into our room and just left towels. They did not make the beds. On our 2nd day housekeeping knocked twice and I said hold on and he proceeded to enter my room anyway. Luckily I had the extra lock on my door.
Overall I enjoyed my stay, breakfast was delicious and well prepared with a generous variety of foods and drink. I do have several complaints such as the cleanliness in the rooms; there were holes in sheets, the pull out mattress was awful, the bathroom had various hairs around and had not been mopped. The shower curtain would not keep water in the tub. Used lipstick and bottles and trash were found under the bed and around the couch and coffee packets had been opened. The exercise room was extremely hot and the pool was cold.
Hair in bed and bathroom, tub dirty, actual holes in the sheets, stained duvet and TOWELS 🤯...only there for insurance purposes as they repair my home but I will never be back and will not recommend whatsoever. Hotel lobby is inviting and has a nice layout but it only attempts to cover the outdated rooms and subpar housekeeping.
Check in smooth and quick. It was like the clerk was waiting for me to arrive. First night of a two night stay. Room and accommodations were good. Highly disappointed when I woke this morning and went to make coffee only to discover no disposable cups nor regular coffee. Got cleaned up and decided to speak to the desk clerk at 0600 am. Approached the desk only to find the desk clerk sound asleep. Not impressed, this is why the have a minimum wage. You Never Have a Second Chance to Make a First Impression.
Horrible they checked me into someone else’s room after they saw my ID then got mad when I told them that was t the room I paid for. Fast forward 5 min argument later I got my correct room they said it was just cleaned. Pillows were not on bed. There was eye makeup and foundation on pillow. I asked for new sheets not for them to remake the bed new sheets the house keeper just left the room and said call the front desk. Then on top of that there was no towels in bathroom and there was food in the refrigerator. Like I was just itching.
Hotel was very clean, quiet, and lovely. The hotel hallways are marvelous. If you are not paying attention you could get lost with the long hallways. I love the hallways. Carpet was very clean. The tile in the rooms were clean, as well. We enjoyed our stay. Will stay again next year.
Price was very good for the thanksgiving holiday and days after. It was honestly the cheapest in area after taxes and all the other markups. The beds where amazing, it was hard to get out of them because of the comfort and the pillows. Place was very clean as well.Over all great recommendation over others in area with similar stars
Staff was great, Jennifer was very helpful telling our family places to go to visit during our stay during our family reunion. Rooms were set up nice. Microwave didn’t work in the room. But other than that it was a great experience. We even took advantage of the free hot continental breakfast they offered. Which came in handy since we had 30 people getting ready at different times, including 8 little ones to feed. We will definitely return again in the future.
Our “nonsmoking” room had two smoked joints and a dirty toilet seat when we arrived. I slept on top of the covers so I don’t even know how clean the bedding was. But the quality is definitely not worth the price. When I wanted to address the issue with the manager, he was asleep in the office.
Edwin was awful. Disgusting hotel, smells of cigarette smoke everywhere. THEY DID NOT EVEN CHANGE THE TOILET PAPER! There was half a roll when I got there!! Everything was so dirty, could physically see that they have not vacuumed. And when I mentioned something about it the manager was so rude, telling me “that is your problem.”
Other than putting us behind for the rest of the day due to waiting for check-in, the stay was pleasant, the room very quiet and very comfortable. We enjoyed our spacious room, and had decent internet. I would have preferred some more TV channel choices, but it was adequate. The pool was tiny, but because we had it all to ourselves we loved it. The warm pool temperature was great for a cool winter day and we thoroughly enjoyed our swim.Breakfast was pretty typical for Choice hotels, and contained hot items and protein choices. The staff were all very polite and professional. All in all, it was the quality that I have come to expect from Comfort Suites.
Hotel was ok, the rooms were a nice size. The beds were very comfortable. My only negative was the pull out sofa in our room was broken and they were so booked for the weekend we could not move to another room. The breakfast was good. The vending machine took my sons money and the front desk said it could not be refunded. Other than that it was a good experience. I would recommend this hotel.
The front desk staff was pleasant, however, housekeeping was mediocre at best. I have never stayed at a hotel and had housekeeping knock on my door at 9:00 am to clean my room. Furthermore, No hot water, the furnishings were subpar and the carpeting had a big stain. However, my understanding was that they were currently renovating, however, would suggest not occupying rooms until they have been renovated.
Clarion hotel has an awesome free breakfast for guests that feels more like a cafe than a Cafeteria. The rooms are nice with hard wood floors the result in a better smelling room. The managements heart is in the right place and even walked me to the room because I was in a hurry. The near I-85 location is great also, our members and guests had no trouble finding it. Shopping and restaurants are close at hand as well as auto service if you need it.If you need to stay awhile or just a day I suggest you call the location and not the booking desk so that you get one of the nice people there. I wish they had more parking but they have it where it counts “nice people”.
We stay in Choice Hotels almost exclusively; this one was fresh and clean and well-run. The bathroom was quite small but efficient. The lack of carpet on the floors were not as comfortable as carpet, but everything smelled fresh. The breakfast was particularly good, including the coffee. This is a very good value for the suburban Atlanta area.
Horrible stay! The refrigerator was molded. Dirty stains on the wall. The bath tub needs to be repainted. The manager Maria is rude and refuses to refund me $25 for an early check in I was not aware about. The check in receptionist Sara is a liar. All of the employees lie about who the owner is at this location. The owner refuses to speak with me. Reported location to the Better Business Bureau. A thorough investigation needs to be done on this infested place! Don’t waste your time or money!
This hotel was a great value for what we paid. The staff was very friendly. The location was great. The breakfast was good. If anything could be changed it was the condition of the room. It was very large and comfortable but there were some cosmetic issues like a chiped tub and a large stain on the ceiling in the living room part of the room. The wallpaper in the bathroom couldve used some work as well. We would happily stay in this hotel again.
The hotel itself had a nice appearance. When I arrived in my room, there was a huge hole in my curtain, my room was warm, and the closet would not stay closed. I immediately told the front desk. They were completely booked, so he couldnt give me another room, but he did send maintenance to fix the items. Its great that they fixed it, but it prevented me from getting much needed rest in preparation for the nights events I was to attend and after an 8 hour drive. Then on the 3rd day, the toilet wouldnt flush. Maintenance had to come and fix that. The air never did cycle on and off properly. I had to turn it off, then turn on the heat, then turn the air back on for it to blow cool. It just seemed to be one thing after another. I had prepaid, so I couldnt change hotels. Hotel rooms need updating very badly!! The staff was nice though...
Staff was friendly & breakfast was decent. But the housekeepers need fired. Our room was disgusting. My children found prescription pills on the floor. Half used bottle of lotion on the counter, hair and mold in the tub. Just nasty everywhere. Would not stay here again, wish I would have stayed somewhere else in the first place.
Although we arrived really late, the staff greeted us warmly. There was some confusion about splitting the cost of the rooms among the group but management kindly took care of it.Room accommodations were comfortable, although the room facilities have definitely become more worn over the three years we have used this hotel.Breakfast was tasty and another seating area was opened to accommodate the large crowd. We were pleased with our stay overall.
This hotel & staff are very professional & hospitable. The rooms were clean, beds slept great. It will be even better as it is being renovated. The breakfast was a full hot breakfast, but there were also grab n go options, ideal to get the day started well. There was a heated pool & fitness center that we didnt use, but great that it is offered. Its a great value. Ill stay there next time too!
Nice hotel, we came to visit my niece and her son for his graduation in May, and it was a very pleasant stay. So when we came back in July, I told her I wanted to stay at this same hotel. Stay was nice and the rooms are spacious. Right next to several good places to eat and the local grocery store and gym was in walking distance.
This was a business trip stay. I never stayed at this location before, but had stayed at other choice hotels. I give it a 4 star only because they ran out of breakfast before me and my co worker and several others were able to eat and it was still 30 minutes left before the time was up. Other than that the stay was great. Front desk staff was very helpful with our needs, and they even had an indoor heated pool. I will have to bring my family back here on vacation in the winter to enjoy that perk, as we often visit Atlanta in the winter months, we have family in Alpharetta.
Nice place to chill with family. Nice little get away spot for me and my wife to spend some time together, while visiting family. We didn’t want to stay with family while traveling so we will definitely be back here. A lot of good restaurants in the area and the rooms were a nice size for the price. Breakfast was free and the indoor pool was a plus.
Staff were friendly and above par from other places we have stayed. Very friendly and personable. The pool area was not cleaned during our stay (4 days). Fast food wrappers and trash were on the ground the entire time and n get cleaned up. The pool filters did not work and so the pool became increasingly dirty and grimy with the staff finally closing it down but they had no idea when it may reopen.
We staye at this hotel because our friends had booked a room at this hotel. I booked it online due to it being a couple of dollars cheaper. My husband was already in town as our daughter and myself arrived later. The outside was well lit and we felt safe as we arrived. The clerk was very nice and friendly as our daughter waited at the door with our luggage on the cart as I parked the car. My husband had texted us when he arrived to tell me how nice and clean the room was when he arrived. We were very pleased with the stay.
Rooms were smelling like cigarettes the sheets were stained not clean stayed 2 nights room service never changed sheets.half way cleaned room hallways smell like raw sewage and room had mice. Told manager and she could care less lots of excuses not solutions ...never again!!!!
When I checked in they had missed that we had reserved a handicap room. They quickly changed our room, but being a wee bit early, the room was not ready yet. The desk staff had the cleaning staff quickly switch to work on the room and it was ready in 15 minutes. The hotel was full that night and the breakfast staff was so kind and efficient. All in all, it was a great place to spend the night.
The hotel staff was excellent and it appears the hotel was being renovated. However, the condition of the pull out bed and worn bedding were disappointing. Perhaps they had not yet renovated our room. Lastly, the breakfast service was very slow to be refilled and when it was refilled, it was barely enough for 2 to 3 people and the room was full. More staff may be needed for the breakfast service. I will try Clarion again in the future and hope for better results.
This hotel met and exceeded my main criteria for a place I would stay again - clean, safe, friendly staff, CRISP bacon (I LOVE that!) for breakfast, good water pressure and a really good price. The room was clean and spacious, but the bathroom looked like it was more than halfway through a remodel. Tub had some kind of coating on the bottom that was wearing off, there were a couple of spots of unpainted sheetrock, and a couple of cracked tiles. And the hotel was full that night. I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were working on the room and that it would soon be better.I would stay here again, without hesitation. Probably not the place for a romantic getaway, but for a business travelers hotel or even a family vacation stop, I would recommend it!
Was wrongfully asked to leave due to breakfast food eaten in room. Was not stated that breakfast food could not be eaten in rooms upon check in. We always ate our breakfast in our room due to breakfast area being full with no seats/tables with no comments made. 10th day of stay, the manager, who once offered to help my 8yr old carry her trey to our room, flipped out and stated it is not allowed to eat hotel breakfast in rooms. This policy was not expressed upon check in and we ate our breakfast in our rooms for 9 days, staff knowing, again, on one occasion being offered assistance to our room. On the 10th day as we were heading to the elevator with breakfast trey in hand, we were stopped by Jennifer, the manager who offered prior assistance, stated that the hotel does not allow their breakfast food to be eaten in rooms. As I proceeded to our room, I asked Jennifer to have the owner contact me due to this sudden change. I then was immediately directed to leave the hotel because I refused to eat in their breakfast area. This area had always been full with no available chairs/tables. Each room is equipped with refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers. Their breakfast food is no different from food purchased and brought into the hotel to be prepared in microwave. Each morning after breakfast, housekeeping comes by our room for service; sometimes by request, to remove trash and to service the room. Our room remained clean after food is eaten and trash is removed daily and often. I contacted corporate and other Clarion hotels to find out the rules for eating in rooms. The hotels I contacted all expressed that its not an issue to eat in rooms. Also stating the rooms are designed for feasting, mentioning the items stated, to assist in preparing food. Corporate stated all policies are to be expressed at check in. Because this Clarion did not follow their own rules and wrongfully asked us to leave, they offered bonus points for another hotel. Because of the language displayed by Jennifer, I felt the need to contact law enforcement. When they arrived, an agreement of a 1:00 checkout was established. The hotel blocked my entry key at around 10 am. Check out is at 11 am. From this point the devil was present in the building. I had to go to the front desk to have my keys reinstated. During this time, the keys were thrown at me, profanity was expressed from English to their language, other improper communication was also expressed. I elected to contact law enforcement again due to feeling unsafe. Police did come out. We finally vacated at 1:10pm. I went to the lobby to receive prepaid funds for days not to be used, my deposit and a refund that was promised due to not being able to use the tub due to damage, mold and rust. We did switch rooms during this process. The hotel staff refused to refund the correct amount so I called law enforcement again as the police stated if I had any other issues to contact them. The staff spoke to me worse than anything I have ever heard in life. I do believe migrants and slaves were treated better than I was on the date of incident. This horrible, unethical and disrespectful language was expressed in the presence of my 8yr old. The hotel refused to give back my funds and used loud screaming tones right in front of the Officers. Law enforcement expressed they could not force the hotel to return funds but expressed what to do in situations such as this. The first step is to right reviews, from there, pursue court proceedings. Law enforcement was a life saver for my daughter and me that day. This was an unbelievable, unheard of situation. If I can have our food in the room, whats the difference in having theirs in room? Why will Jennifer offer to help us carry breakfast food one day and turn around and basically kick us out because we ate breakfast food in room the next. Why did they not express that we could not eat their food in room upon check in or the next day, why wait until day 10 to mention this?
The first room was a renovated room and it was nice but the sink was stopped up so I moved the next room was Just average. It needed to be renovated but it was fairly clean and smelled good. The sofa looked like it had bodily fluids on it, the lamps were rusty and the tub needed to reglazed .. but other than that, the staff was wonderful... you get what you pay for.
First, on a positive note, the front desk staff was extremely friendly. The always smiled and greeted my family anytime they saw us. The ladies in the breakfast area were always friendly and polite as well. They were always willing to replace items that might have been running low. However, there is the not so good news. I informed the front desk that one of the beds in the room had blood on the sheets. They thoroughly apologized and sent housekeeping straight to the room. The housekeeper was a tab bit on the rude side. She informed me that she personally had changed the bed. I told her that was not possible. The sheets were soiled all the way to the mattress cover. She changed the sheets and left mad. I believe I could have taken the other upkeep items being in disarray, if it had not been for the sheets being soiled. Noticeable issues with the room are as follows: 1.There was a cigarette burn on one of the covers, that was thrown across the bed. SN: The rooms are supposed to be smoke free. 2.The wall area around the toilet was not clean when we arrived and was never cleaned during our stay. 3.The chair in the room had very little cushion and was in serious need of replacement. 4.The pull out sofa was very stained and needed to be cleaned. 5.The ceiling in the bathroom was peeling and had mole. 6.The night stand was chipped and missing varnish around the bottom.I have pictures, if you would like for me to share, especially the soiled bed.
This Comfort Suites is being renovated. It was pretty nice before and it will be even nicer when the renovations are complete. The fact that it is being renovated in no way conflicts with customer service or the overnight stay. Thanks to Courtney for quickly taking care of a small problem with our reservation. Breakfast is very good - plenty of variety. This Comfort Suites has been our choice for a stay in the Atlanta area for several years, and it has never failed to live up to our expectations.
I travel quite often stateside and internationally and this property is awesome and a great value! My son and I were traveling and decided that day to find a hotel to sleepover. We contacted the property and the staff was very professional and courteous. Upon arrival, our room was ready, and even though it was a last minute reservation, the room was a very nice selection. The wifi was extremely reliable. The breakfast was amazing, not your typical continental selections. We enjoyed waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, grits, muffins and other danishes. The property is very quiet even though located conveniently to the interstate. Great stay, looking forward to visiting again when in Georgia.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times! I find it to be clean, comfortable, a quick getaway with an indoor heated pool enclosed in a solarium which allows you to enjoy the sun and get a few rays In the convenience of warmth.Wonderful contential hot breakfast included. This hotel is in the process of adding a quest friendly laundry and updating many features within. The fitness area is small, however, has a flat panel TV, water cooler, towels and several equipment choices for a quick workout. The front desk manager is very diligent in making your stay the best and attends to concerns or issues promptly, the hotel manager or GM is a delight to deal with and very interested in his quests. This hotel is very military friendly. I will continue to stay here over several other hotels in the same area!
Room was decent. Big room, remodeled, however old bed, old refrigerator. Was really excited to get away and have a pool, upon arrival there was a sign that said Pool Closed for renovations until further notice, was very disappointed as there was nothing posted on their website, we picked this hotel for this purpose. Staff was friendly, breakfast was your normal continental breakfast, off-putting sign of please do not bring your breakfast to your room due to ongoing pest control. If you have to stay here then stay here, if you dont move along. Decent hotel but not worth the money.
We brought a group of 17 to a wrestling tournament in Lawrenceville. We wanted this trip to be a team building experience, as well as a competition. The accommodations were perfect. Each room had 2 double beds and a pull out sofa, allowing for 5 in each room and plenty of room for the boys to gather. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, going so far as to offer a special room for our boys to meet together for meals and team meetings. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the fitness facility was more than adequate for our needs, and the pool offered a nice end to a hard day. A very special Thank You to Mr. Demetrius for going above and beyond to help us make this trip a success.
Super friendly staff for smaller hotel. Very clean room, just a bit older/worn. Nice indoor pool for quick swim; observed several people taking advantage of a small, but well equipped workout room. Wonderful Continental breakfast - 24 free coffees & lemon water in lobby. Convenient to concert venue/area shopping, & business district. Overall nice experience for short visit & very reasonable cost.
Very Bad customer service. Very rude and non accommodating front desk as well as manager Jennifer. Straight lying about number of people that can stay in the room. The reservations says room with two queen beds and a couch can accommodate 6 people, she says, no it cant. The couch suppose to only sleep 1 person. Then change the accommodations online. Dont mislead. Hallways floors are dirty. Everything is dated. Very tiny gym. Indoor pool is freezing and the room was not heated. They said it was indoor pool. OK, then the room at least should have been heated but it was not. You might as well call it an outdoor pool. The couch sleeping sofa mattress is very thin and in plastic. Not sure why its still in plastic. We asked for a meeting room, and they offered the breakfast room with plastic tables and chairs for $50 an hour. Really? Thats your meeting room? And you charge for it? What happened to real meeting rooms with real wood office tables and chairs. We felt like we were in a motel, not a hotel with suits. Only good thing was the breakfast itself and the attendee, lady, she was great. She was pleasant to deal with. And always accommodating.
The hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean and very spacious. My room only had a sheer curtain and there is a very bright security light in the parking lot. This would not allow for a good nights sleep as I need it to be very dark. It also lacked that true feeling of privacy. Other than this it is a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed for 5 nights. Overall, it was a good stay. We always try to stay in a Comfort Suites for the space for our family. The price cant be beat either. The room looked to be a little older than others, and there was a faint smell, just from stagnant air and age of the room. I think because we stayed for so long, only basic cleaning was done in our room, beds made, sheets not changed, towels replenished. No cups replaced, and only vacuumed 2 times during our stay. The pull out couch was on its lasts legs and needs to be retired soon. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, we were not in the rooms for long, just to sleep for the most part. Breakfast was great every morning. It helped our family save on that. Thank you Duluth Comfort Suites!
On the positive note, the room was cleaned very well each night. The room, which looked like it had just been renovated, was terrible. The mattress was so warped in the middle that you literally had to climb out of it. The shower faucet was backwards. Instead of cold-to-hot from right-to-left when turning it on, it was hot-to-cold. Glad we figured it out quickly. The toilet paper dispenser was hanging out of the wall. To top it off, there was an item replacement cost list on the table in case something was damaged. Not only was it offensive for it to be there, the costs were outrageous. The breakfast room was very small and there were notes there as well ordering us not to take food back to our room. Been staying at Comfort Suites properties for many years when travelling as a family, by far the worst experience weve had. Next time we come to Atlanta we will steer clear of this place.
Nice spacious rooms for the price, I would have liked more lighting in the rooms, beds were very comfortable and all rooms have a pull out sofa which is nice. Lobby area is very large, and hotel is located in a great area around a lot of fast food restaurants. This would be a great place to stay with your family when traveling through Atlanta. I would definitely recommend staying here.
This hotel is our favorite place to stay in the area. The hotel does need some upgrades but is always clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is has lots of choices of both hot and cold foods. The breakfast staff was very sweet and even took a request for the next days breakfast menu. The heated pool is always so relaxing!
Overall staff- outstandingDidnt get to see if the rooms were comfortable or not we couldnt get past the smell. We realize the hotel cant control the customers and they were billing the ones that were previously in the rooms. However, non-smoking means no smoking! If that doesnt bother you, then this is probably a great place to stay. The staff was very nice.
Total place regarding the rooms on both floors were under construction I knew this going into this place!!!! However under construction does not even begin to identify the serious issues with this place . My room was located in the far back end of the first floor/ building therefore crappy internet service .. which was a no brainer. no Internet service!!! we had no heat!!! it smelled of cigarette smoke!!!. Needed to leave and go to my nephews place to use the Internet; prior to my leaving I had suggested that I needed a room change at the front desk they said no problem after Levin come back and see me check my name room number. Then I arrived back around 1pm; cant get in my room; go back to the front desk only to find out they closed me out. the manager got very cocky; so I told her thatt his hotel is a mess and this isnt my fall this is her problem to make it right!! immediately!!! Told her to get my room changed now. she thought I was checking out and room check out wa at 11. I pointed out to her the no heat; red wax on the lamp shade; holes in the bathroom door. just a mess. peeled off sitckers on the microwave. she moves meto the second floor closer to the front of the building so I could get internet service as I had work to do for my job!!! only to find more issues. no bulbs in the second room no batteries in the remote. just a mess. not what I would ever expect from a choice hotel. dont stay there . My money should be refunded. if I didnt need to stay for my nephews wedding I would of bailed.
Wasnt happy at all. The hallways were very dark and the hotel smelled like cigarettes. The furniture was old and tore up. I normally stay in Comfort Suites, but none compared to this one. My friends and I looked through the room and we were not pleased at all so we ended up leaving and staying at another hotel down the road. The man at the check in desk was very nice about it and offered to put us in another room but by then we had already decided to go to another hotel. I commend him for that.
This was our first stay at a Comfort Suite. We have always stayed at other hotels based on price, but I can say that I was pleasantly surprised. I usually dont do these surveys, but they left such a positive impact on me that I felt compelled to tell of our experience. This hotel in Duluth, Ga was very affordable and as inexpensive as a lot of their cheaper competitors. The rooms were very nice and clean. Had a nice couch with beds, tv, desk. The hotel staff couldnt have been any nicer. I was greeted very pleasantly. The gentleman handed me a complimentary bag of bottled water and bag of chips. Was a nice touch I thought. Will definitely stay here again when we come thru the Duluth area. Highly recommend to anyone to stay here.
I arrived in order to expedite a business venture and needed a good night sleep. The Beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were more than adequate for the price. The breakfast area was neat and the food was well prepared. The front desk staff was very helpful and housekeeping was very considerate. I would highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure, and will definitely consider staying again and recommending to my other business peers.
The hotel is very clean and well maintained for its age. The breakfast was great and plentiful. Just be aware when booking more than one room. Even when the other room is paid for by the guest using it. Your card will be charged for one night stay and the staff will deny the charges. I ended up Calling my bank to delete the charges. I should only have to pay for the room Im using when the other room was paid for inside by the occupants. Duh.......
I understand that renovations have to be made occasionally, but upon walking into the lobby, the smell of wood stain was overwhelming. The check-in process took an excessive amount of time due to the clerks casual conversations with the group ahead of us. There didn’t seem to be any concern for other people waiting to check in. During our check-in, the employee gave us our room key (2nd floor), informed us the elevator was not operational and we would have to walk up. We were given the Wi-Fi password with no other information. Upon arriving at the room, we found our king size bed had a smaller queen size sheet on top which only covered the pillow top portion of the mattress. We called the front desk and the sheet was replaced with one of the correct size. Upon attempting to connect to the Wi-Fi, it connected, but there was no access to the internet. Another call to the front desk and we were instructed to go to abc.com first and then enter the password in order for it to work. This information should have been provided at check-in and without the attitude we got during the phone conversation. We had planned to have our two boys sleep on the pull out sofa which the website implies pulls out all the way to be used for two additional people (children). The room is represented as adequate for two adults and two children. Upon pulling out the sofa bed, we found the room is not wide enough for the bed to be pulled out all the way.
If you have a problem at this hotel, the front desk makes sure it gets taken care of fast! The carpet in the room is a bit worn but everything else was just fine! Inside pool area was clean and quiet. Enjoyed the lounge chairs in the pool area. Comfortable bed, linens and pillows. Thank you for having breakfast until 9:30 for us late sleepers. Easy free parking.
This was my first time staying in this area. Im usually a Marriott guest only. I decided to book this hotel anyway. When I checked in, I was greeted in such a way that I felt right at home. The snack and beverage I was given when I checked in was thoughtful. The quality of the room was good I might add. I had the king suite with the sofa. The pool area was a bit smaller than I am used to but it was definitely not crowded. In fact, there wasnt anyone at the pool. The only issue I was worried about is the recently paved parking lot. I was worried about not having a parking spot when I came back to my room. I was able to find one. I slept through breakfast but my boyfriend was able to attend. He said breakfast was good and had a variety of choices. My only regret was not being able to spend my time at this hotel.
This is a very clean hotel. Staff is friendly to professional. Room cleaned each day. Bathrooms very clean and comfortable. Nice lay out in the room. King size bed is very comfortable. Manager very down to earth and great demeanor. Will visit again. Indoor pool is a plus along with fitness room. Breakfast was better than most places. Fresh waffles , fruits, breakfast meats and eggs. Coffee taste very good and fresh. Lemon water was a surprise and nice to have. Price was better than average.
The staff was extremely pleasant and courteous. Elevator was a necessity and in great working condition. Breakfast was hot and very assorted (even for my Vegetarian daughter). The room was comfy and had lots of extra usb ports for charging devices. Unfortunately there was a foul smell that we had to acclimate to, but I used the last of my travel febreeze to help reduce the smell.Bathroom and room were very well cleaned and updated furnishings.
The photos uploaded matched the exact description and youre truly getting your moneys worth at a low rate. Also, very clean and spacious!! Comfortable beds. I enjoyed staying at the hotel. FRIENDLY STAFF - they allowed me to check-out late due to my friend not feeling well in the morning. They also chosen a room for me near the lobby so I didnt have to walk far. They were very kind.
Was off the main road so the traffic wasnt too bad compared to the rest of the area. The rooms are all compact but accomodating. When we got there the fridge was messed up but after letting the lobby clerk know about it it was fixed within 10 minutes. The AC unit worked perfect and the beds were very nice, comfortable, and clean. They also have a free breakfast before 10. I had the biscuits and gravy and the wife had cereal, both were fantastic. We paid less than $60 for a night so the price was very fair. Highly recommend this place.
The staff was very helpful to us.Our room was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was diligent. There was damage done to some cars in the parking lot during our stay. We were not impacted personally, but this raised concerns. The pool is not heated. The breakfast is exceptionally good.
The room we were placed in was well below standards. The bathroom tub was dirty, had rust in it. Also the toilet seat did not fit, and had burnt piece on it.When I tried to call the front desk, there was no dial tone. The telephone was missing buttons. I had to call the hotel directly through my cellphone. The front desk placed us in another room. After seeing numerous signs at the front desk stating that you are not allowed to bring anger breakfast back to your room, we skipped breakfast. The shower in the new room we were placed in never got hot water. The water was only lukewarm to which I would not risk getting sick because it was a cold morning. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
Great place to stay.Front desk lady I think here name was Jennifer she was a blast. Really helpful. My 3 year old daughter loved her. And she loved the indoor pool. Me and my husband loved this place. Visiting from Chicago and we didn’t want to stay in the city this time with the traffic over in Buckhead. We will definitely be staying at this place again.
The upgrades they were doing was much needed, but he service and management was horrible. Our sleeper sofa was not made up at all (NASTY), then i found someone else hair in the shower before i got in there. Im bald so i know that it wasnt mine. (NASTY AGAIN). Manager was very rude and nasty. I will never stay at this place again. All around the WORST Comfort Suites i have stayed in in my 10 years of using this brand. Breakfast was even worse then the room,. i have never had a waffle fall apart on me after making it. We couldnt eat any of the food. I spent my money else where to eat breakfast. Others couples sitting next to us felt the same way. I give them no stars
Good location, close to pleasant hill. Food within walking distance, so that was nice. Everyone so far has been courteous. I havent yet tried out the pool (edit to add: I was gonna swim on Monday, but found out the pool was closed on Mondays! Bummer!), but maybe tomorrow. The room is nice, has a couch, coffee table, desk and chair, and tv. I love the lemon water they have available in the afternoons. One small issue, we went out in the morning and got back around 2 to find that the room hadnt been cleaned. At 2:30, someone came, but we asked her to come back around 4 since wed be gone again. She never came back. Not a huge deal, but I always love coming back to a tidied room!
We stayed from Dec 28th through the 30th.Staff was awesome, Jennifer Park was very thoughtful, She brought extra blankets with out us even having to ask, she seen we had small kids and knew we would be using the pull out couch. She also made sure the pool was warm.Room was clean, breakfast was good. Thanks for the great Customer service!
Overall had a very good stay, even though it was very crowded with a couple family reunions which were very noisy but i understood that. The staff were excellent. Didnt like that a hold was put on my credit card for $94.75 before i had even arrived and before the cancellation time which was odd, i was told it was for revenue. Also i saw a roach in my room and heard several other guest complain about this. The carpet in my room was very dirty in the corners of the room. But all in all it wasnt my worst and by far not the best. This hotel has a lot of potential with some minor improvements.
I made a last minute reservation for my daughter traveling on spring break. The staff was extremely accommodating. They were friendly and went out of their way to make sure my daughter and her friends would be able to check in without a problem. The breakfast was good and for the price the hotel was a great bargain! Will definitely stay there again if in the area.
Loved that you could book the hotel without inputting any card information for the booking. There is a receptionist at the counter 24/7 and free breakfast included. Only downside is that the water pressure in the shower was pathetic. Clean rooms with good working air conditioner.
The location was central to our activities. Had to ask twice to get second stand for suitcases. Could use more hangers. Simple furnishings. Floor of room was not carpeted. Not sure how often and how well it was cleaned. I wore socks rather than going barefoot. The bottom of my socks were quite dirty by the end of our stay. One morning, we had no hot water for showering. Breakfasts were okay.
I was upset that the hotel was under renovation and I was not made aware of that by the desk person when I checked in. On Saturday afternoon we were trying to take a nap due to very little sleep the night before and could not due to banging and sawing coming from above us. I complained to the front desk and the guy said they would be done by 6 pm, but he would ask them to stop. We left before I noticed that they had quit. Also, I booked this hotel specifically because it had an indoor pool. There were no notifications on the app stating that the pool would be closed due to the hotel being renovated. My children were also disppointed they couldnt swim. We used the gym and were told that the treadmill was broken. So that was a negative part. In our room there was paint splatter in the bathroom and some stuff stuck in the drain of the sink and no cover over the drain hole. In the drain was something that looked like plastic and a screw. I expected a much better experience. Ive been staying at Choice hotels for years. And I was very disappointed during my stay.
This specific hotel Is doable. You just have to look over the juice spills or dirtiness under areas . The fitness room is great! It is a big hotel. The hotel is in the cut so slow down going turning on the main road . The morning staff can be hard to come to turns with. The internet is fast. You get what you pay for. I disregarded the reviews but in the least, the hotel is overall doable. Some people says its noisy. depends. I stayed two nights. Would I go back? No. The staff didnt respect the choice rewards.

The hotel was great for the price. The staff extremely friendly and accommodating. The only negative to the trip was the pool. It is listed as an indoor pool yet the glass was not even closed. I sat watching my daughter swim with a fleece and winter coat on and the chlorine levels were so stron that her suit is not the same color as it was when she got in the water.
Great location, some food within walking distance but all the food in the world, shopping, convenience stores, you name it less than 5 minute drive away. Front desk staff cheerful and efficient. Fair amount of very well-lit parking. Hotel lobby was clean, hallways and room were also. Everything worked well in my room, got a good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Shower in the morning was good. Price paid was fair but not great.
My husband and I were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The bed was very comfortable...need new rugs and sitting room couch, but although the hotel is under renovation there were no problems with our stay.... We arrived late, but our room was ready and we had no problem checking in...the staff were always very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, but did not like the eggs very much (powdered)...but there were plenty of other choices to satisfy you. I like that no matter what time it was, we could always enjoy a hot cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate from the lobby area. The area and price of our room was good...a short driving distance to get to malls, movie theater, Walmart and gas stations, waffle house just down the street (about a 5 minute walk). We will definitely stay here again.
We arrived close to 9 pm and we were hungry. The clerk checking us in, I believe her name was Rachel, was very friendly and suggested a great place to eat called Georgia Diner. Our 1st night was a decent sleep, though the beds were a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was typical for a hot continental breakfast. The 2nd night, there was a group of college basketball players who were unsupervised at our end of the hotel. We asked them several times to be quiet. At 3:00 a.m., I wasnt so friendly to the boys as we had a 5 hour drive the next morning. I reported to the front desk that it was about to get ugly on my floor. I never heard another word from those boys. The next morning, the male clerk who checked us out was exceptionally apologetic and refunded our 2nd night stay without us even asking. Of course that made us very happy. The location was very convenient, rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was good for a continential. Overall very pleased.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel , the staff I encountered were all nice and friendly. The room was very clean and well maintained by my housekeeper during my 4night stay. Breakfast buffet was awesome, the buffet attendant was helpful and the front desk staff were awesome.P.s It would have been nice if I wouldve got points for my stay . I called 1800# for choice hotels and was told I couldnt get points at this hotel due to a recent change between this hotel and choice hotels.
I stayed at this hotel over the 2017 new years holiday for 1 week and the all the Employees were amazing . The breakfast was hot and fresh but the Employees attitude was the best always help full and polite never said no on anything, helpful with anything we needed even when my wife got sick. But mister Demetrius Buckles was the best always happy and good attitude. After we checked out I realized that I left a very expensive cup in the lobby. I called him and with in a few days he put it in a box and shipped it to my house. Thank you for making my families vacation enjoyable.
The stay overall was quite pleasant. The room was spacious and allowed the kids to have a hang out area to play video games. The pool was small and full of younger children. The older children were allowed to use a nearby hotels pool which was great.I enjoyed having convenient access to shopping, entertainment, and restaurants. These are the three must haves when traveling with teenagers. The go karts and Dave and Busters are a must with teens!
Hotel overall experience was ok. Not too bad nor great. Receptionist was friendly and remembered who I was the next day. Room service was great also and although the food ran out very fast and wasn’t restocked for a long while, the kitchen personnel were trying hard to get provide whatever was requested.
The staff could not have been any nicer or more accommodating, from the front desk clerks to the service staff taking care of the breakfast area and the rooms. All were very helpful and friendly. Definitely made you feel welcome. Our room was spacious and comfortable - a double with separate sitting area. Yes, I would stop there again!
I spent two very nice days enjoying the great amenities available. Its nice to grab a good breakfast, and then be able to go workout in the fitness room. Patrick checked me in on my first day with excellent customer service skills. Demetrius was kind, helpful, informative, and really made me realize, I should stay one more night. I like the way all the staff members work well together to keep the hotel running smoothly.
Obviously all these 5 Stars reviews are fake, the rooms def need some work especially for the price you pay. Kinda motel 6 plus (plus for the tv and better bed) level but more expensive. The walls are so thin that I could literally hear everything behind the door (yes, my room had the adjacent doors). I just wanted calm and sound sleep, that is it! Add 5 dollars and you will find much better choices! The good point is the lobby (I guess recently renovated)!
I stayed at this hotel as it was convenient to I-85 on a road trip. The hotel room itself was the epitome of mediocrity. It wasnt super clean, the tiles in the bathroom were stained/broken, the interior of the hotel was dated and in need of renovation, and the breakfast was basic. Before checking out, I noticed a $1.50 charge for the in-room safe, which not only did I not use, but it was not in the cost estimate provided when you make a reservation. The front desk clerk took this charge off without hesitation. After I got to where I was going, I noticed a second charge of $50 on my account, and when reviewing my folio the hotel claimed I took two washcloths. First off, unless the washcloths are made out of gold (and they arent), it does not cost $50 to replace two washcloths. Second, I did not touch the washcloths. Apparently there were two missing from my room upon my check-in, and since I did not think to do a linen inventory when I checked in, the maid said they were missing when I checked out. The hotel has been impossible to talk to about this fraudulent charge. The managers do not pick up their phone, and the front desk clerk claims to be unable to change anything. Choice International customer service did not have any solution when calling other than trying to transfer me back to the hotel, who promptly hung up the phone line. After weeks, I still have been unable to talk to a manager about this false $50 charge. So, if you stay here double check the linen count when you check in, and triple check your folio and credit card statement when you leave.
We usually have great luck staying at Comfort Suites, but this the first time we experienced such poor quality. We understand that they were in the process of switching franchise names and doing a little remodeling, but I think they needed to use the money spent on the remodeling the foyer of the building on up keep and maintenance of the rooms and facilities. It served the purpose though, slept comfortably, just felt like we overpayed.
During my stay we had problems with the toilet being stopped up and were given the plunger to do it ourselves. The rooms smelled musty and like old stale water, the bathrooms were not the cleanest it could have been. Instead of being given towels we had to swap out towels with housekeeping, Im guessing because they didnt have extra towels. Even with the air being on as high as it can go on the room still was uncomfortably warm for Georgias weather. The mattresses were all worn down and uncomfortable. The pool was disgusting and I did not allow my kids to get in even after it was clean. I strongly suggest that this comfort suites is updated in the very near future. The only good review I have was that the breakfast was free and the kids really enjoyed it.
The Hotel has very friendly and courteous Agents at the front desk. The free Buffet Breakfast is fantastic and has hot and cold food. The food service weekday worker is friendly and helpful. The best was that she kept the place clean and stocked up the food as more people ate breakfast. The Hotel is near shopping, restaurants, and plenty of things to do for all ages.
Tbis hotel is one that my family and I frequent quite often. My fiance and I visitnthis hotel once a month because we travel to see his children who moved from Illinois 2 years ago. Needless to say we know the location. They always have great service and we have a family of 5 and we normally stay in a room with double beds. This past visit they had an issue with their pool and we chose tbis location years ago because the kids love to swim to accommodate the isse the manager provided us with pool passes to another location because of the inconvenience. Also later the evening when the kids were ready for bed we pulled out the let out couch only to discover it was broken we went to speak with the manager on duty and due to the time he gave us another room for the kods to sleep in and advised us that we could take our time to change rooms the next day. When the next day arrived the manager who checked us in became aware of the incident and provided us a late check out due to the inconvenience. We choose the hotel time and time again solely because the service is top notch and we feel like family. They greet us and ask how the kids are and its always amazing especially with the upgrades that are happening with the hotel. Thanks you for the great service
The hotel was clean in general and it smelled fresh and clean. The bed was comfortable, there was no noise and we had a great nights rest. The staff was very nice, breakfast was very good and was kept well stocked. It was and excelent stay for the price. We will stay at this hotel again.
Stayed Here 2 Weeks :) Felt like I was at home .. Very Comfortable, Didnt have a problem sleeping on the sheets or using the Bathroom, House Keepers Clean the Rooms as If they are staying there! Towels Smell Good & Great Quality .. Front Desk Staff Friendly & Courteous especially the Manager Demetrius he went above & beyond for Me making sure I was taking care of! No Bed Bugs or Other Pest. WiFi Worked great & Great Cable. Breakfast was hot every day & they had Variety Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Biscuits & Gravy, Oatmeal, OJ, Apple Juice, Danish, Bagel etc. Indoor Pool Clean w| Fresh Towels. Great Rates for Great Quality. I wont go to any other hotel in the Area💞 Most Importantly They Mind They Business While Keeping A Safe Environment For Guest, Yes this Review is 100000% Real & I am not apart of the Staff😛
I had an excellent experience with the Comfort Suites Gwinnett while staying there in January 2014! Even though they were going through a renovation process, you would hardly know. My room was outstanding, spacious, comfortable and very clean. When I mentioned a small problem in the bathroom, someone was at my door within 5 minutes to fix it. The hotel personnel were some of the friendliest I have come across and even the breakfast was good! I know I will be staying at the same hotel the next time I am in Atlanta.
The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is clean with good shooter pressure. There is some wear and tear throughout the room, but nothing unmanageable. The maid like to play their music loud in the laundry room, so I suggest not getting a room near it if you need to sleep in. And the doors dont block a lot of noise, so you can hear people talking in the hall easily in your room.
The service is fantastic. The rooms are nice. The sofa bed was quite broken and didnt get much sleep. An oversight Im sure. As tired as I was the front desk manager David Smith filled me with renewed every with his early morning exuberance and upbeat attitude. You are very blessed to have a man with that kind of energy being the first face your guests see in the morning. He is the 4 stars. Would have been 5 if the pullout hadnt been broken.William Apple
So I always stay at comfort suite because I travel for work and stayed here a few years back I.t was great the room were clean and fresh but this time I.t was horrifying for starters the shampoo has been use and have oil cover through I.t, the room were also really dirty was not cleaned or dusted but this worst part is there were PEE AND BLOOD STAIN on the bed sheet I left right after I saw that even though I had taken my sleeping pills the nice lady at the front desk was nice enough to give me a refund, also she was the only nice employee there. But still I wouldn’t come back here
My first impression was that the building looked nice. Inside, the lobby has marble flooring and white columns. The people at the front desk were very friendly and pleasant. The hotel has only two floors. The hallway showed the renovation that is going on; the baseboards were stripped off after a short distance down the hallway, and the ceiling tiles were removed. There was a faint smell of construction, paint mixed with mustiness, in the hallway, but it wasnt overpowering. My room was very nice, large with a huge bathroom, big comfy bed, sofa, desk, chair and adequate lighting. The bathtub had rails to hold onto. The bathroom was certainly big enough for a wheelchair if a guest did need that access. Further down the first floor hallway past my room was a fitness center that was closed next to a small hallway that led to the indoor pool. It was a bit small but was enclosed by greenhouse-like windows.
Hotel was in a good, central location, and although the staff was reasonable, I would not recommend this hotel because of the overwhelming smell of mold in the room. The ventilation is very poor. The breakfast bar fitted our needs. There was no cable for 12 hours but I think that was the cable companys issue. If you have an iPad, you maybe not be able to connect to the wifi, which is important especially if youre on a business trip. Overall, I will not stay here in the future.
Upon arrival, which they were very generous to let us check-in early, we were greeted with a sign that said Pool closed for renovations until further notice. This was a bummer as we booked this hotel for that exact reason. No where did it say the pool would be closed on the website. We got into our room, hallway smelled funny, and the rooms were spacious, bed uncomfortable, but it was a clean room. Continental breakfast was your basic continental breakfast, however the sign that said not to bring food back to your room due to pest control issues was a little alarming. Overall it was an okay stay, probably wont be back and would stay somewhere else.
This hotel is very dated. It needs to be renovated. The staff was excellant, but they dont make up for the hotel. First room assigned I wanted to place something in the safe and it was already locked. Clerk gave me another room and this time the safe was open but you couldnt lock it - no power. The staff tries to make this hotel better than what it is, but if you have a rundown hotel, theres only so much the staff can do.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The housekeeping was okay once I was able to get the wash cloths that were not in the room upon arrival. The breakfast area was crowded but the food was good. Business center is really just one computer for all to use if you can wait. Fitness center is really just a treadmill, elliptical and a small machine for weights. Indoor pool was the best part of the visit!
We needed a hotel close to family as we were in town for a funeral. The hotel was very accommodating when my brother showed up with no sleep after a 15+ hour straight through drive and allowed him early arrival. The remaining family members needed room access to freshen up in order to be at the funeral parlor at 2:00 and we were also graciously accommodated despite a 3:00 PM check-in time.We knew by the price this hotel wasnt going to be fancy, we just wanted clean. We were comfortable and the staff was very nice. The hot water was only warm, never hot so dont expect to be able to take a bath. Youll be energy-savers automatically because you cant linger too long with the temps of the water.
Rooms smelled and were moldy. The staff was awesome but the facility leaves much to be improved. I decided not to shower there because the shower left much to be desired. The door didnt seem to close completely. The was red paint/blood/lipstick on the floor. The pool was not in service. Wall border and paint was of poor quality.
Run the other direction if youre considering this hotel. The room carpet was dirty and stained, the room had a very musty, odd smell that was completely overpowering. The managements response to our complaint was to bring an air freshener up to our room. The shade to the light fixture was torn, the sleeper couch was completely filthy with dark stains. The WiFi never worked more than a minute or two though we informed the front desk of the problem two days in a row. The pool was littered with dead bugs and the area around it was filthy. The entire hotel, from your first outside impression, gives off a very dirty, old, rundown impression. To top it off, today we received extra charges on our credit card from this hotel for random amounts that the management states that they never made and simply told us to contact our credit card company to dispute. I would highly recommend staying anyplace but this hotel if youre going to the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta next year. Its not worth your money. Trust me.
Upon check in had to wait in a line because shifts were changing. I understand shift change because I myself manage a platinum Comfort Suites property, however with that many people waiting I would utilize both front desk associates until the line dissipated. The front desk clerk who checked me in was very nice though. I was assigned a 2nd floor room and the hallway on 2nd floor was dimly lit and very dirty however the room wasnt bad. The only issue in the room was the jetted tub didnt work. Overall not bad for a night in town
The pool was freezing cold and when asked if the heat could be turned on, they said no - its automatic. We had 3 small children in our party and they were very disappointed that they couldnt go swimming. The only heat that it could have gotten was from the sun - which the high temp outside was only 60 degrees and one of the closing panels was open - didnt work. The pool area was very dirty also - mainly because it doesnt get used. Cant be used when its that cold - never saw another person in the pool and we were there for 5 nights. Could not get internet to work in our rooms at all. Could get it to work in the gathering area on 2nd floor, but there were always a group of teenagers there using their technology items. The rooms and hallways definitely need some updating. I like to stay at Comfort Suites because they are always nice and clean. This one really needs some updating. Very old and the dirt and hair around the edges of the walls was pretty nasty. The toilet ring did not fit the bowl. The bowl was an oblong shape and the ring was a smaller round one and was about an inch or so smaller than the bowl - didnt like the idea of sitting on the rim of the bowl. Also only 2 of the 4 lights above the mirror were working. Its advertised as a full breakfast, but that was seldom the case - I would suggest to have eggs and a meat every day. Most of the days our choice was sausage or sausage, sausage or bacon. Only had eggs as a choice on one day. Sausage gravy and biscuits is another common item at other continental breakfasts. We did get the rooms pretty cheap, but would have been really upset if we would have paid the price we usually pay for Comfort Suites. Just not the typical Comfort Suites quality.
Rooms were nice, but lack of hot water for showers, lack of adequate towels and bathroom supplies (including shower curtain) made our stay a challenge. Staff is nice. Would recommend only if you are willing to make sure you have flexibility and patience. Despite all the issues we had the staff did try to rectify.
We have been staying frequently until we close on out home. The hotel is priced good. My only complaint is that people use the doors in the pool area to enter and exit the building which causes a draft if your in the pool. It would be great if they would lock those doors so they couldnt be used unless an emergency. The wifi works when it wants to. Other wise the price is good and the hotel is good.
Very pleased with my stay at Comfort Suites Gwinnett Place. I will definitely refer this location. The staff, Demetrius & Patrick were very professional and friendly. The room was clean, neatly furnished and large clean bath. The price was excellent. The hot breakfast was great.
Past midnight there was kids running around screaming through the halls, spring mattresses were out of date and very uncomfortable to sleep. Rooms had a VERY bad odor like a old persons house. Had to switch rooms because of dirty sofa and the new room wasnt any better. Breakfast was good but not enough tables to sit. Last time staying at this hotel
The hotel could not be in a better location than it is.Price was excellent for a weeks stay. Staff was extra friendly and very helpful. However the hotel it self is run down and could use a great deal of upgrading. The carpet in our room was extremly dirty and smelled old. Curtains were coming down. I would choose another hotel over this one next time just because of the smell of this room.
This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at this hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was as good as any we have had in hotel and the breakfast lady did a great job of keeping things stocked, clean and hot. It seems to be a very convenient location. We will stay here again.
I helped set up a rehearsal dinner for my cousins wedding, and the staff helped us out tremendously. They anticipated things like food/drink storage, room setup, and time management before we knew it would be an issue. The staff here was tremendously friendly and helpful for other sleeping arrangements as well. Also the rooms were nice.
Expected a nicer place. Phone in room was destroyed. Tile in bathroom broken. Repair was sloppy. Phone number on desk info sheet was not the current phone number for the hotel. Had to trek down to the desk to talk to front desk person. This hotel needs an overhaul. Area is nice, but trees hanging over building hid the sign and lights not working on the sign made it hard to find this hotel at night. No street noise. Did not eat breakfast, so no comment. In room coffee pot did not look clean. Did not use. Staff was friendly.
This hotel overall is a comfortable place to lay your head down and get moving the next day. To describe it in one word, I would say patched. The bedding is in good condition but the facility really isnt, the carpets/flooring/walls are all in poor condition. The office staff is not dressed professionally, very transient scene. So if I am with my family and daughter next time, I would probably pass on this one.
Upon arrival the luggage cart was falling apart and the main sign was not lit so we could not find the hotel. The hotel was old and dated which is ok with me if it clean and good repair. It was not. The hotel stunk. The door know and hook were falling off of the bathroom door and the heater was in pieces but it did work. There was blood on the pillows on one bed. The walls had filth all over them. We asked to see another room and it was worse. We would have went somewhere else but we booked with no cancellation options. We wont be back.
The staff was great, breakfast was good. The hotel is rather old and looks very used. The room was dingy looking with stains in the sheets and carpet. The tub had a whirlpool but it was rusty so I chose not to shower. I believe the cable was just a digital antenna and the channel guide was incorrect. All the furniture was damaged on the legs or the inside.
My husband and I both travel for work. This is our first time to this hotel.Ready for the good and bad....GOOD - Room is very spacious! Bed was pretty comfy. PLUG CITY... ( Theres outlets available in the room for multiple things to be plugged in. The young Chinese lady who checked us in was very friendly!BAD - The tub as you can see in the picture was stained. Also the wall had dark spots on it as cover ups. You have to close door to sit on toilet unless you like me and leave it open then your knees will be touching door. It had a cat piss smell. We didnt use the pool or fitness area or the couch!Theres a fridge and microwave in room. The breakfast area was nice. Hours were from 630am to 930am. It had a good selection of yougart, hard boiled eggs, instant grits, cereal, breads, 3 types of fruits, egg, potato cubes, sausage patties and bacon, waffles, coffee, oj, apple juice, fruit punch.Theres a lot to do around hotel. Several Eating Places, Planet Fitness is 1.5miles away.(Ho out driveway to R and then at light go R and its down on RHS in a shopping plaza. Its 24 hours. This hotel is ran by Chinese People.
My room appeared to be run down and the overall appearance of the hotel appeared to be old. The room had a smell to it that seems as if the carpet needed shampoo or cleaning. The housekeeping staff ignored my request to change my sheets. I had to request sheets and I ended up changing my bed myself. Housekeeping also gave my a plunger to clear my own stopped up toilet (twice). Both the room and bathroom did not appear to be very clean or well maintained. I travel often for business and personal and based on my stay at this hotel I would not recommend my company or friends to stay here. If the other rooms were in as bad of shape as mine, the hotel should try a makeover.
You will not find a better value in the Atlanta Area. At least I havent. The rooms are clean, the lobby and breakfast are very clean and well kept. The first floor hallway carpet is a little worn. That is the only negative but it is more than made up for by the clean rooms and the reasonable pricing. Unless you are looking for absolutely everything to be 100% pristine, you will be very happy with your stay here and the price is unbeatable for the quality you receive at this hotel.
This hotel was conveniently located to the Gwinnette Convention center. The in-room microwave and refrigerator were perfect as I was able to heat up a microwave dinner I purchased from the local Publix earlier. The bed was a king sized slumber fest!! The Stay was great ending with the continental breakfast this morning of check out. I love making a waffle and having orange juice sausages and coffee.A little planning ahead makes for a great stay.
I have stayed at this hotel many times without any problems. Always thought it was a very nice hotel until this last stay. The room was terrible. The room darkening curtain was ripped and did not block out the light. The TV was not a flat screen but an old box TV. There was no remote control for the TV. The mattress on the pull out bed was disgusting. It had stains all over it and it smelled awful. The toilet paper holder fell out of the wall and the toilet paper was old and dirty. When I complained about the room to the desk manager she told me no other rooms were available. I took pictures of all the problems above and would like you to see them. I just dont know where to send them. As a long time Choice Hotels member, I would have thought they would have put me in a better room. Not sure if I will stay here again. Very Disappointed. Cant believe I wasted my money on this stay.
The front desk was very helpful and pleasant. Most of the hotel is going through some upgrading and the room was roomy and comfortable. The only thing negative is the parking only goes around 3 sides of the hotel. If the hotel is full and you dont get there early enough you may find it difficult to find a parking spot.
The hotel is a little outdated. The room was clean, but the carpet & furniture seemed a little old. My desk chair was very hard & I had to use pillows to cushion myself. The service was good. Breakfast was stale. Unfortunately, someone else booked my room for me, otherwise I probably would have spent a bit more for a newer & nicer place.
The staff was kind and very welcoming. The hotel itself seemed a little out of date with the kind of carpeting and cloth items (blankets, curtains, etc). I was pleasantly surprised to find a microwave and mini fridge in the room. The biggest no-no for my boyfriend and I was the black mold we saw in the shower ceiling
We immediately began to worry when the luggage carts in the lobby were both literally falling apart. The bathroom tub was in disrepair so much so we chose not to bathe our children in the tub. The shower curtain rod had been replaced and the huge holes from the previous rod were just left in the wall. The microwave in the room was broken and there were none on property to replace it. We purchased air freshener to get rid of a foul smell in the room. The biggest disappointment was the filthy condition of the pool. We actually chose this Choice Hotel over others in the area because of the pool which we werent able to use because of poor maintenance and water quality. We rarely complain or give a bad evaluation, we are huge fans of Choice Hotels, but this specific hotel is a horrible representation of the company! We would never recommend this location to anyone! While the staff was pleasant and engaging, the overall disrepair and maintenance makes this location a huge disappointment!
Stale smelly odor in rooms. Phone was inoperable and not connected Random hairs on sheets Lost interested in exploring the amenities because the overall hotel was cheap and very uncomfortable. I had to promise my kids we would never make the mistake of staying there again. It was not with the money we saved by staying in a cheap hotel.

2022-02-24Maybe 2.5 stars. The best thing about this place was the location. Otherwise, it wasn’t worth the stay, but we had to settle for it due to last minute plans. The beds were comfortable and the check in/out were easy.We booked a room for 4 people and later realized only 3 towels were put in the room. When we asked for another, we were told we’d have to wait until the morning (again, we booked for FOUR people, so that should’ve been prepared before our arrival). The rooms need to be renovated. The first floor clearly has been renovated and doesn’t give an accurate depiction of the actual roooms. The wall around the air conditioner in the room was crumbling and possibly moldy as well as possible mold on the ceiling. The hallway carpet was dirty and there was a bag hanging from a missing ceiling tile. The sleeper couch mattress was old and dirty. The bathroom was nice but the tub could’ve been cleaner. Also booked for the indoor pool, but it was closed. Breakfast is not complimentary.

2022-04-06There is No pool. Breakfast is not included. Both are shown on their website, but they are not an amenity. Beds were ok. Bathroom was up to date. Ac did not work. And smelled moldy. They hotel needs an overhaul. They have painted, but its just putting lipstick on a pig. They have dehumidifiers in the hallway if that tells ya the situation at this location. Definitely a vibe of rent by the hour situation.

2022-04-11Absolutely disgusting. Revolting. Terrible service. Rooms smelt terrible. The carpet looked like it has mold all over it. There was hair everywhere. Clothes left in the room from people before. The pullout bed was stained. The couch had sheets on it to hide the grime and dirt all over it. Got told there would be pool and breakfast, but the pool was permanently closed for covid, and then breakfast had a sign that said “NOT COMPLIMENTARY”. The lady at the service desk yelled at us on the phone and told us to come downstairs and get our sheets ourselves, but then told us we were not allowed to get sheets for the pull out because we already had two beds so we shouldn’t be using it. I was being yelled at by the service desk lady telling me that I lied to her because I had an infant with me and that was too many people in the room. My child is not an adult. The elevators smelt like smoke. There was lots of full bottles of wine just out where my children could easily grab it. This place does not even deserve a star. The amount of dirt, mold, smells, attitudes, and disrespect. 100% do not come here.

2022-05-02The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. I felt my car was safe by parking in the front, however, I would not have parked in the back due to lack of visibility. Overall I was pleased with my stay and would stay again.

2022-02-05Lobby nice. Otherwise disgusting. Had to change rooms as obviously had not been cleaned ( food in fridge, trash in drawers and on floor). Second room on upper floor had ceiling damage from water leak, faulty outlets, window screwed shut with damaged window. Staff very polite, but total dump. Would have left immediately, but husband not feeling well.

2022-05-30I hand it the room was clean, but I requested for 2 beds and a pull out sofa bed since there was three of us. The sofa bed was broken and could not be fixed till the next day. They just temporary fixed the darn thing and you put the sofa together and you could not sit on it. The bed broke again and they will not fix it. No Maintanience available. 👎 i asked for a handicap accessible when I put my reservation and looked at the pictures and accommodation. So I chose this hotel. The advertisement said continental breakfast, I asked the clerk and she said there is nothing but I can purchase breakfast for $5 each. I am so done!

2022-06-20The hotel is conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants in Duluth and Lawrenceville, but thats the only good thing about it. Pet owners take note: youll have to book the more expensive double queen bed room just because you have a small pet. That is in addition to the $25 pet fee per pet. This hotel does not offer complimentary hot breakfast as stated on Google. In reality, their hot breakfast consisted of cereal and yogurt. The room we stayed in was outdated, and the bed sheets were itchy. There was a dead bug floating in the indoor pool just waiting to disintegrate.

2022-02-12My sole reason for booking with this location was the indoor pool for my daughter only to find out upon arrival that the pool is not in service, for no reason disclosed. I paid the extra $25 fee to check in early so we could enjoy the amenities so suffice to say we were disappointed. Im sure families would appreciate some advertisement that said benefits of booking here are unavailable.

2022-04-12There was absolutely no welcome greeting, Just a statement, Drivers license. The 1st room had NOT been cleaned. I went back to the front desk, no apology offered, they gave me keys to a new room. The bathroom counter was dirty, the bathroom floor had sticky stuff right in front of the sink. The light next to the bed was broken. Signs were everywhere at the front desk that stated there was no smoking in the motel. But there was smoke hanging in the hallway.
