Clocked in other cities:
Husband and I both absolutely loved our burgers. The Cajun fries were the bomb and the raspberry habanero and truffle Mayo dips were perfect! The place really exceeded my expectations.Already looking forward to the next excuse I have to go to Athens, so I can stop here.
Disappointed. We came in for lunch, and waited 10 minutes to be seated outdoors. We were perfectly fine with the short wait. However, we were sitting for a while before the server came. She was not very nice at all. My mother and I inquired about a kids meal, because she has health issues where she eats smalls plates at a time (usually with a salad.) There was nothing about the kids meals on the menu saying you had to be a certain age. She said something to use like “those are made for like actual kids.” If it isn’t on your menu or listed, why feel the need to add your rude comments in with your unpleasant attitude? There was a hair on my burger, and she never came to check on us. The others were done with their food by the time she came back. I left without a full meal. Very slow service with a bad attitude is awful for first time customers. We are patient people, but it takes nothing to be kind. Maybe she was having a bad day, but we will not be back.
The service: Ordered to go at the bar counter. The service staff was rude and made me wait a long time to make an order while they made a batch of milkshakes at the counter. The food : I heard some hype about how awesome the burgers here are and I was pretty let down. Burgers were dry and overdone. There are much better burgers in Athens
Customer service was horrible . Me and my boyfriend ordered a burger with two sides each , we got our sides first and they weren’t fresh. We didn’t receive our burgers until 30-45 mins later . Once we finally received them they weren’t what we asked for .Emma was our waiter and she did a POOOOR job serving us. every time our food was given to us it was by one of the other waitresses who were serving other tables . We watched our food sit for at least 15 min+ before it was served to us . they only offered 50% off of ONE of the burgers . the food was okay it would’ve been better if it was fresh and wasn’t sitting for so long.
This has been my favorite place to eat burgers in Athens. The decor is fun and the service is excellent. Ive tried just about every burger on the menu and I havent found one I didnt like. The ring of fire is especially good! In the 6 years Ive been coming here, I havent been disappointed once.
I’m in town for a chorus trip and we ate at Clocked for dinner last night. We only had 2 hours to eat and we were pushing it with the service. It took 15 minutes for anyone to get our drink orders. A few hours later, I come to the revelation that it gave me food poisoning. I have thrown up three times and been in bed all day. I have missed a great opportunity thanks to this restaurant.
My siblings and I all enjoyed out burgers in the outdoor seating area. The menu has such a variety of burger options to choose from. It really encourages me to try something different every time. The burgers are juicy and full of flavor, and the toppings--from onions and peppers to chili and bleu cheese--only add to that flavor. I havent had a problem with the service.
Back in the good old days(pre-pandemic) I would come here and be quite satisfied on my occasional trips to town.Three nights ago I visited and was quite disappointed.Being vegetarian, options are limited.I ordered the falafel.Oh My Dog.It was horrible. It was not a traditional falafel like they used to serve, but a falafel BURGER, served with pickles, which I dont eat and they didnt ask.Falafels are traditionally fried balls which cook them theoughly and fully. This burger was soft and mushy on the inside. Not at all appealing. The fries were okay but nothing special. I will probably choose a different restaurant next time Im in town.
Sincerely, the best burgers Ive ever had in Athens and the second best Ive ever eaten in the whole state!!Amazing fries and tater tots as sides with a great variety of funky dipping sauces, from raspberry ketchup to wasabi mayo. Theres a full bar here too with a variety of well-made adult drinks. I had the El Diablo, a spicy, fruity tequila cocktail with my blackberry bacon jam burger. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!If you have room there are milkshakes, kid friendly or boozy milkshakes! but we were too stuffed to try.I love vintage, so the kitschy diner decor - B movie posters, neon, etc made for a fun atmosphere as well. Its a small space, theres outdoor dining too - but Ill bet its crazy around regular meal times. We arrived around 9:00 on Saturday and it was busy but not nuts.
Bacon jam burger is my jam. I got it to-go, so I can’t really speak of any pandemic precautions. Appreciate the take out option, of course. Delicious burger and tots for about $10. I would prefer more bacon jam and not having to pay to park downtown, but those are my only complaints and only one of which Clocked can control.
Clocked was great! I got the mushroom and Swiss cheese burger. When you order without a bun they give you the option of your burger served on a plate or on a salad. I got the bun on a salad and it was fantastic! Picked onions + lots of nuts and seeds made it a very tasty and filling dinner option. The tator tots are absolutely delicious -- dont forget to choose a dipping sauce from one of their many fun flavors. The blackberry shake was delicious (but watch for seeds because its made with real fruit). Great vegetarian and vegan options, including the beyond meat burger.
Clocked was very good! We got tator tots, garlic parmesan fries, and onion rings as sides. Garlic parmesan fries were by far the best, highly recommend. I got the friendship burger (without pickles bc eww) with a beyond burger patty (not a veg, just thought Id try it). That was very good! Friends at the table got a BEC grilled cheese and a mushroom Swiss burger (both as is on menu) and they loved theres as well. The feta dipping saucs was better than the truffle mayo or special sauce. 4 stars because the onion rings and special sauce were only okay and the kitchen messed up our order in a few minor ways. Service staff was very kind and friendly though, theyre amazing. Only picture I have is of my can of wine and the menu 😂
This was my first trip into Clocked and Im disappointed in myself for not making it there sooner!Started off my lunch with a Bells Two Hearted IPA and Cajun Fries. The dipping sauces offered were a Garlic Aioli and Raspberry Jalapeno Ketchup. The latter sounded like the better option but the Garlic Aioli was on point!I ordered the Great Meteor burger for myself and the Blackberry Bacon Jam burger for my friend, in town for the day, Nicole. (Sorry no pics of the burgers as I got them to go)Great Meteor burger was absolutely incredible. The flavor and juices from the burger exploded in my mouth with every bite! Id definitely recommend for anyone that loves Feta Cheese, which I LOVE!The Blackberry Jam burger was really good, but not my style of burger - a little sweet for my tastes. My friend Nicole raved about it though! Which just goes to show how each one of us has a very different take on food, take that one to heart!!The vibe in the restaurant decor was extremely cozy and reminiscent of a previous period in American History. I cannot wait to go back..........
Love this place. I am from out of town, was looking for a good local burger joint. This gem was recommended. Burgers are fantastic. Prices are extremely fair. I appreciate the a la carte style. They also make milkshakes. Atmosphere is even better. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a filling and fantastic lunch or supper. Also, has an Eric Greenspan-level assortment of awesome grilled cheese. Really happy I went here. I had been trying to find a good local pizza place in Athens, but, alas, have come up short.
I dont think Ive visited Athens without stopping at Clocked and its always packed. And for good reason too, the food is phenomenal and the servers are awesome! I got the Blackberry Bacon Jam burger (I think) and fries and it was spectacular. I even got one of their swell tees which I love. If youre visiting Athens stop here.
Terrible staff and owners !! Slow service cant make up minds about stupid COVID rules . How can you ask guests to wear masks but half the staff doesnt??They where trying to require the mark of the best a few months ago on an ad I saw in flagpole no wonder they are short staffed !!
Fries were brought out immediately and were cold 45 minutes later when the burgers finally arrived. Food is good but not worth the steep prices. They were also out of regular fries. Not sure how you can be a diner/burger place and not have fries. Were also out of basil jalapeno sauce. Pretty disappointing all around.
Very trendy burger joint with a decent selection of local brews. Burger choices are quite unique with some tempting toppings like Bacon Jam and Pimento Cheese. Great presentation on the big burgers. I enjoyed myself and it did not break the bank. Very affordable quality food.
The service really wasn’t great. The burger was amazing... well, the first half. The second half of both mine and my wife’s burger was bright pink. We were told they come medium well. The two orders of fries and fried pickles never showed. It also took 15 minutes to pay and leave. Not a great first experience. Especially when I actually liked (most of) my burger.
My housemate, a devourer of burgers introduced me to this place 4 years ago. I must say, its quite something. The menu boasts of a variety of meat, vegetarian and vegan options, both for buns and patties. My personal favorites are the Ring of fire, Jalapeño cream cheese burgers and their sweet potato fries. Also, this one time I forgot my credit card here and they kept it safely so that I could pick it up the next day. The gesture was very much appreciated.Sometimes wait times could be a stretch but they make it up to you in their own way. Overall, I do love this place for its comforting, cozy ambience, food and service.
Great place. Love the environment and the staff is super friendly. Also great food for a good price. Best onion rings I ever had! Hard to find a good onion ring that wont fall apart and left with a crispy mess and a limp wet onion in your fingers. Good call to the waitress who suggested them! She was awesome! They all are, so go try them out!
Clocked is our favorite burger place, where we take all of our visitors from out of town! All the food is delicious and reasonably priced, with some wonderful quirky options. I especially like the fries. The dining room is small, so we avoid going during the busiest times.
We’ve been to clocked! many times and their food is delish. However, we’ve called to place a to-go order multiple times this week and it doesn’t even ring and says “the mailbox is full” so there is no way to contact them. Hopefully they read this review and fix the problem so I can update to five stars!
My daughter and I stopped by for lunch yesterday and had a wonderful experience! We are both vegan and ordered the plant based burger on the best vegan bun ever! Our delicious burgers were loaded with toppings!I was pleasantly pleased with their menu prices, cannot beat a better deal for atmosphere, quality of food and service!!! Our service was exceptional and friendly! I look forward to to visiting here again! Their onion rings OMG!😂Thanks Clocked for a great lunch experience, you have a wonderful staff!!
Absolutely loved their social distancing set up for ordering and seating, and the food is so good! I tried the bronco burger and my wife had the chicken sandwich and we ended up splitting them up because we kept stealing bites off is each others sandwiches! The fries are nice and toasty and the onion rings are admittedly not my favorite kind - beer battered - but theyre not oily at all that I enjoyed them with their house ranch (remember to ask for some, it is not part of the order). All in all a great place and Im excited to come back
Inside dining area is small, but they have plenty of wooden tables outside on their patio. Their decorations are space/alien themed. Family and eco friendly. They have vegan/veggie options. I ordered a margarita and it was 75% ice cubes. I also had the black bean burger and Cajun tater tots. They give you a Dubble Bubble gum with your check. Staff is attentive and productive.
We ate there tonight and ate outside. A group that got there after us got their food before we did and had to wait a long time for our food as if they had forgotten about us. Also, it’s right by a bunch of trash cans so it smelled bad the entire time. Our burgers were a little on the pinker side. I will say that the food do taste good though.
The burgers are great, only downside is that it says gluten free on here but this place is not celiac friendly. My 16 yr old has celiac disease and I asked them if they could make sure that the meat didnt cross contaminate with anything gluten and they could not guarantee that. Bummer. So if you have celiac disease this is not the place for you.
Completely bizarre experience. Restaurant had open tables. No wait to be seated. Yet when we asked if we could place a to go order…we were told No!??The hostess at the front door seemed strung out & couldn’t offer an explanation as to why we couldn’t place an order to go. But did offer us a table to dine in. Why would an establishment allow people to order and eat there. But Not order and leave??What a shame. This is our first visit to Athens. Heard good things about this place. Definitely will not be recommending based on our experience tonight.
Got a beyond burger. Pretty good, a solid hearty burger, but the beyond burger had either a bit of odd seasoning or something that didnt make it 10/10. The Cajun tater tots were good but not spicy. Otherwise really good food, very clearly all made and cooked in house.
Excellent Bean Burger and Greek salad with feta dressing! The kids and my husband loved their burgers or grilled cheese. They had milkshakes with their dinner. I tried a sip of each the Peanut butter and the vanilla. They were okay. My husband ordered Cajun tater tots with his burger. I tried a couple. They were also just okay. The seasoning was sprinkled on the top layer of tots only so the ones on bottom were plain. We love the outdoor seating as well. Well definitely be back!
Ate here for the first time today...so glad we did! Ordered the Meteor Burger and a Bacon Cheeseburger, both were great! I also added jalapeno peppers and caramelized onions on mine (which were free add ons). Fries were crispy and delicious too! Will DEFINITELY be back.
Outdoor seating only during covid. It rained really hard while we were seated outside on the street. Food was great though. The frat boy entertainment was on point with Rush week. My 15 year old son and I watched an Olympic inspired beer shotgun obstacle course race while pretty girls in Rush week dresses walk down the street. My son had a lot of questions. lol
We really used to love Clocked and were devout patrons. The menu changed as did the entire atmosphere. We miss the vegan Rueben for sure. While the food has been ok on our last few visits, its definitely not what it once was. The service is also hit or miss, food times can be quick or super lengthy, and they seem to always be out of at least one of the beers we order.
We walked in, and they told us to wear a mask, which we happily obliged to. Except that more than half their staff wasn’t even wearing masks? Our server definitely wasn’t. Also, they put together a table for us outside, and we expected our server to clean the table for us since it still had cash and utensils from the previous customers. She just picked up the money and cleaned the dishes but didn’t wipe the table full of crumbs… We decided to leave and go to Trappeze instead. Much better service there! Maybe it was just an off day at Clocked, but it was terrible today.
Food is USUALLY AMAZING, price is always right...tonight in additional to burnt sweet potato fries and a veggie burger instead of a beef burger, they charge 18% gratuity for meals for 3 people at night. Literally burgers, fries, and 2 shakes got charged gratuity. Might I add.....it was to-go. Next time well all order separately. Problem solved🙄
The food at clocked is great. The burgers are made from free range organic meats and the fries are hand cut. They also have a good selection of beer, both tap and bottled, craft and macro. We sat at the bar (a favorite spot) but there seemed to be plenty of room elsewhere. There is both inside seating and an outdoor patio. We had great service...being both friendly and fast. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a college town upscale burger joint. Bustling, but not over the top. The prices were fair being that they use quality ingredients (H&F bread etc). My only complaint is that the food was served in a thin paper basket. It was REALLY messy. It wouldnt stop me from going back but serving food on a plate would definitely make Clocked stand out in an overabundance of upscale burger joints.
Ok burger joint in a college town. The service was pleasant. My chicken sandwich was good and tender. The beggers bothering customers sitting outside... Not so pleasant, but college kids cant help giving there parents money away... So the panhandling will continue until kids growup and figure out a better way to help those who are truly in need of assistance.
The food is good but the service is terrible! I’ve been there twice with a friend and they got our orders wrong BOTH times!! The last time we were there, we waited for about 10 minutes with nobody in line but us, and when a lady finally showed up she looked at us and asked if we needed anything… hm?? I’m sorry, but why do you think we’ve been standing here this long? Then she just listened to our order, didn’t take any notes or anything. After about 25 minutes, my friend and I got our orders and left, just to get home and realize our orders were wrong. My friend, who is a vegetarian, explicitly asked for a veggie patty but got beef instead (both times). She had to drive all the way back, hungry, so she could get what she actually ordered in the first place. Very frustrating, not coming back!
To the one star review folks...that’s not being objective, that’s unnecessarily punitive. First rate burgers. Workers trying their damnedest while risking their health and thus others. A Gluten complaint? One star? One star is a joint that’s dirty, borderline unsanitary, stale, bad service all the time (you can’t rank service on one GD visit!!!!), no creativity, and so forth. McDonalds even should get 2-3 stars. Keep up the good work and please ignore those 1 star reviews. No relation no incentive from the owners. I was passing through to NC.
Ive only been to this place once, and it was way back in 2011, but I never forgot the burger I had here! I wanted to order something different so I got the peanut butter bacon burger. It might sound questionable, but that sweet/savory taste combination is amazing! I also really liked the old 50s/60s diner feel the place had. Im really glad to find out theyre still open considering it was 8 years since I had been there. Cant wait to go back!
Great veggie options. All burgers can be made with Beyond Burger plus there are veggie burgers with several other patties or fillings. Reasonable prices. Service is attentive and friendly. Fun appetizer menu. Creative specials from time to time. Outdoor patio is chill.
Stopped in for lunch and opted to eat outside. Order some fries (vs taters) and they were very good. The milkshake needed a spoon more than a straw. Hamburgers were delicious. Attentive, kind service wrapped up a great lunch. Music probably not for everyone but not too loud. Bathrooms clean but very small. Would return. Best little food joint Ive found in a while. Loved the decor and 50s sci-fi movies, but the best part was that there was something for everyone on the menu. We have vegan, vegetarians, and carnivores in our group...everyone was happy and full by the end of our meal. I give this little place a huge review.
College town gem for sure. The staff is at times quirky, and always friendly with great service! The burgers are great whether it’s the Great Meteor (feta cheese), Bronco (bbq burger), or pimiento cheese burger you can’t go wrong. The onion rings are possibly the best I’ve ever had, and the tots don’t disappoint either. Finish up with a cheer wine milkshake.
Tiny but quaint and lively restaurant. Food was great. We all got something different (6 of us), and not a single complaint. I had the spinach salad with tuna steak added. Friends had a variety of things including the peanut butter bacon burger. Next time I want to try the ring of fire burger (bowl style which is on lettuce)
A friend recommended this restaurant for my short business trip to Athens. Its a very small restaurant with an eclectic diner vibe. Clocked has the potential to be very good. The fries were amazing, but the burger was a little salty. I am assuming that maybe I received a bad batch of meat. Its worth a try.
Pretty great experience all around. Atmosphere was great though we had to wait a bit for a table to become available. Burgers and fries were on point. The unique burgers are great but not overdone. Just the right amount of bacon or feta or egg over easy--really good but a little messy on your paperboard tray. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area. And the price is pretty reasonable for the quality food and downtown atmosphere.
Absolutely LOVE this little gem! We always visit whenever were in Athens. My daughter loves the peanut butter bacon burger, and I love the Jumbo Deluxe...a bacon cheeseburger with an over easy fried egg on top. DELICIOUS! We also love their fries and onion rings with the Feta cheese dressing. So yummy!
Great veggie options. All burgers can be made with Beyond Burger plus there are veggie burgers with several other patties or fillings. Reasonable prices. Service is attentive and friendly. Fun appetizer menu. Creative specials from time to time. Outdoor patio is chill.
A really good burger. Would consider one of the best burgers in metro Atlanta area , including Athens. The tater tots were very good too. Would highly recommend this place for dinner or lunch. Small seating area but well worth the wait if its crowded. Service was excellent too....
Hamburger was great! Service was ok, never refilled our drinks? The fact that sides costs extra is really dissatisfying, and what they charged for the sides was pretty astounding, sweet potato fries $3.75 on top of the price of my hamburger? And the waiter seemed to be in to big of a hurry to listen, he would walk off while we were still trying to ask him something?
The Meteor burger and sweet potato fries were first rate. Otherwise it did not give the impression of a well managed shop.I had ducked into their connected outdoor seating with the girlfriend as it had just started to rain Ten minutes later I knocked on the side door for a menu and was chased out and told to go the front. It was now pouring and leaking through the roof.A slight pause and I dashed to the front got the takeout menu and dashed back. Back to the window to order pay and tip.Thirty minutes or so later we wonder where the burgers are, there is line. So I call and since it is now a torrential rainfall with water pouring in. It takes a bit to convince the waitress to just open the side door and give me the food. When she does she freaks from the rain a maskless wet self 6 away. She goes back in a five minutes later has the food in a paper bag.We retreat to the only table that is not all soakedLater the rain let up and the waitress came out to collect a tab from another patron who was running a tab, maskless.Good burger, iffy management.
All around, my experience was fantastic. For starters, the place doesnt have reservations, so one can simply walk right in and order. I could have just eaten the fries from here. The place sure knew how to make them; they were crispy but not burnt anywhere and really flavorful. The burger that I ordered was decently sized and, really, had nothing against it. I almost didnt finish it, as the portions were not in the small side either (but they arent Cheesecake Factory portions either). My only worry was that it seemed to be pretty small. If the place gets busy, then waits would get longer and volumes would get louder (as the place had no soft surfaces in it, so echoes are prominent). On that note, considering getting a table, I went when the place wasnt too busy, and et could just sit right down However, because this is a local business, that cant count against them. In my opinion, this is definitely a place to visit if you have the time, and if you want a place to consider for American fare.
If youre looking for a hip burger, this is the place. I honestly had no clue about this place until we just stumbled in. Every time I go to a new burger place, I am usually comparing it to H&F burger in Atlanta and am usually disappointed. Clocked is a pretty close contender. The burgers here are flat and crispy perfection. The buns are actually from the H&F bakery. The toppings range from standard to slightly unconventional (peanut butter). Overall, a pretty solid selection. They even have a couple of vegan options. The other thing that makes Clocked special is their preference for using more natural ingredients. Their preference for natural ingredients really makes the burger stand out. And honestly, you arent paying a real premium for the experience (~$11 for a full meal).- Suggestions on menu -I would recommend sticking with the burgers. While the frankfurters sound nice, the real star of the show is the burger. Clocked really offers a lot of choice on the menu but I would recommended staying simple with the toppings. Less is more here.Overall, perfect for a nice lunch or casual date. Hip but not exactly hipster. The embodiment of the Athens spirit in a restaurant.
This place is great. Excellent food. I got a gluten free swiss mushroom veggie burger and was super happy with the meal (and impressed that they handled my complicated order). Fries were awesome. Service was also great, we had a 12 person party and they still managed to handle everything in a timely manner. Loved it.
We order here regularly during the Fall and Spring semesters as they have a great Vegan Burger, are super accommodating for our food preferences and every server has been super friendly. The atmosphere is great, they also have an Unbeatable Military discount and the food is always what we actually order, definitely recommend checking them out!
Gluten free options available in this cute little burger spot. I enjoyed the Pimiento Cheeseburger on a gluten free bun🌶️🧀🍔 They also serve the burgers & sandwiches over lettuce if you dont want bread. They have so many delectable dipping sauces to choose from (bbq, honey mustard, feta, ranch, russian, basil-jalapeno, raspberry-habanero ketchup, chipotle, wasabi-mayo & garlic dijon😅), we had to get a few different ones😋 I cant wait to go back to try more tasty things... Maybe peanut butter & bacon next time?🤔 Definitely recommend giving Clocked a visit👍
Was waiting to check it out for thirty minutes and then was told it would be another hour and forty five minutes before I could even think about getting a seat. But that being said the Dawgs were playing then ranked 11 undefeated Kentucky kittys and the rest is history in the making. But I will be back to try the food when we play another victim
Very good burger place. Mine and my girlfriends burgers were very delicious as well as the sides of tater tots and onion rings. We got a brownie sundae for dessert which was very good as well. Price was very reasonable for a place in downtown Athens. Only complaint would be that there is not a whole lot of seating inside and what was there was mostly those shared booths which were very close together.
Cool themed restaurant with a menu for a variety of diets (super good vegan options, btw!). Drink menu offers a pretty decent amount of cocktails and drafts, though Im uncertain if they offer a happy hour of any kind. Service is always great with friendly and attentive staff. They have a surcharge for any card payments to help cover fees for their small business, so cash is preferred. Sitting inside will feel a little claustrophobic during their rushes, so grab a seat outside in their beautiful patio area if weather permits. Definitely recommend, as they have something for just about everyone!
Excellent and unique. Picture a 70s burger joint with decent vegan and gluten-free options. They frequently play muted black-and-white vintage sci-fi films without subtitles above the, yes, full liquor bar used to concoct the items on their diverse cocktail menu. Only issue is seating - its actually better logistically to sit outside because indoor seating is often quite crowded. Great place for family and adult dining!
Clocked was very good. Definitely in the top 3 list for best burger in athens. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the BlackBerry bacon jam burger, I was afraid it would be too sweet but the tartness of the berry mixed well with the savory of the bacon and beef. Everything on there menu is unique. They also have vegetarian options and a couple other sandwiches aside from burgers.
I ordered parmasan fries. After 20 minutes I asked where they were? They told me they would bring them out when they were done to me very rudely. Im from Michigan, as the owner is also I here. Well 25 minutes to get fries and they were cold. NOT a good visit to Clocked. Wouldnt recommend to anyone.
I dont personally love the food here, but it has gluten free and vegetarian options so it really cant be beat when I take friends with dietary restrictions out to eat. Milkshakes are not bad either. You have to pay an extra $3 for fries though which is a tad odd but eh.
Their mushrooms and swiss burger is an amazing burger to have, I recommend getting bacon and grilled onions on it. And their cajun tots and fries are also amazing to have as a lunch or dinner item, I recommend having a empty stomach to eat their food, as it is very filling.
Best burgers in Athens. The patty itself is great, tastes like grass fed beef. The buns are always fresh. But what makes Clocked excellent is there unique offerings such as bacon peanut butter burger or the jalapeno cream cheese. It is nice to have unique options after eating regular boring burgers at other places. The hummus and chips as a side are amazing. The hummus is the best I have ever had. The fries and onion rings, once again are incredible. CLOCKED IS GREAT
BEST DINER FOOD EVER. We had the vegan hot dog, grilled cheese with mushrooms, tater tots, and a mocha malt milkshake. All were delicious. I’m not usually a huge fan of milkshakes because they’re often quite bland and milky. The mocha milkshake with malt added was definitely the best milkshake I’ve ever tasted. It was rich, sweet and creamy but had a dark chocolate and strong espresso flavor. We enjoyed our food so much we ate there our second night in Athens too (we were there for just two nights). 10/10 would recommend
Clocked is a small place that can fill up quick, especially when college students are in town. For the most part, the food was excellent (blackberry bacon jam & bronco burgers with fries) but the veggie frites we had as an appetizer was tasty but somewhat limp and greasy. Our server was great...very personable.
The atmosphere is fun & quirky & a little ruin down which is charming. The waitresses were fun & kind. The hand spun milkshakes are delious! The brownie Sunday is a must & can easily be shared. The Friendship burger was awesome, the pickles made it! Lots of veggies & cheese made for a messy hand full of goodness. Clocked is a better burger joint then any place around with burger in the name!
The Jalpeno Cream Cheese burger is yummy (wifes burger and fav). The Ring of Fire burger didnt taste like fire at all (my burger). It was like a plain burger couldnt tell there was chipotle sauce. We split our burgers. Im glad I did. Also, they cook the burgers medium to medium well if you dont give any indication. The french fries and lemonade were delicious. The onion rings are okay. Too greasy for my taste. My son said meh and didnt finish them. They didnt look like the photos. So maybe it was an off day.The service was okay. The hostess had a hard time estimating time. They take reservations but people dont show up. So they were holding two tables (each holds 6) for a group of 10 that never showed up. A lot of people came and left.Kids like the bite size brownie with their meal.I would come back.
I am never disappointed when I eat here. The burgers are fantastic, filling, and the best-dressed in town. Peanut butter and bacon? Yes, absolutely. Blackberry jam and smoked Gouda? Yuuuum. Seriously. Try. Them. (Pro tip: add some house-pickled jalapenos to the PB&B) You do pay extra for sides, but your bill will still be reasonable. Try the sweet potato fries - crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, just like a perfect fry should be. Order some raspberry-habañero ketchup to go with. Perfect. Service is friendly and well-paced. Some say its slow. I say, who wants to rush a fun and delicious meal?
I repeatedly go here because when the food is good its great. Here are some circumstances...1. To go order and if I didnt check my bag I would of left with just a bag of chips with neither of the sides and 2 burgers I ordered2. Got a burger to go, checked it and it didnt have a bun on the top (some how the other half of the bun didnt make it to the burger)3. Service is hit or miss4. Tonight got a burger and it was raw. Looked like it was thrown on the grill for 60 seconds to cook the outside. This is very dangerous with ground beef!🤢
If youre visiting Athens, you must try this restaurant!! Amazing menu, thats different, but in a great way!! This time I had the beer battered onion rings & grilled cheese & bacon sandwich!!! They were soooooo good! Even the Vanilla Coca-Cola tasted better than Ive had anywhere else. Im so serious!! You have to try it for yourself. It was a nice afternoon stroll walking here as well. And the restaurant is very quaint, but perfect still.
Phenomenal diner with gourmet diner food! The vibe of this place is great! The employees are quick, friendly and knowledgeable. The food is way better than you could imagine.Definitely get that milkshake!Long wait times, so get there before you need to. The wait is SO worth it.
There was a long wait which was acceptable as we had just left an event. The food took about an hour, just hamburgers so that seems a little long. I had the garlic burger that was on special. The garlic had a metallic taste. The French fries were really really good, the onion rings not so much, they were a tad bland.
We come here from Lawrenceville which is an hour away. We love that they play off the wall movies, have a variety of burgers to choose from including veggie burgers and black bean. You can get a variety of fries or tots with different dipping sauce. I always ask for my fries extra crispy and try a different burger each time. They make real cherry coke and real lemonade! You will not be disappointed!
We love the food at Clicked, but they need a better plan for people who have to wait, especially in winter. Its a very small space, so they suggested we wait in the record store. I dont like hanging out in someone elses establishment, but it wasnt an issue because it was closed. All that said, I still come here because the burgers are THAT good.
Ive been going to Clocked for years and it is still one of my favorite places to get a burger. Clocked has a strange theme, but the food is fantastic. I cant say enough about how good the burgers are, and theyre made with grass-fed beef if youre into all that hippie stuff. They have some very eccentric items on the menu like a peanut butter and bacon burger, among others. Overall, one of my top 5 restaurants in Athens.
If youre in the mood for burgers in Athens, THIS IS THE PLACE. Burger patties are delicious, and sized appropriately, on the larger size. Buns are always fresh, and the fries are the perfection of golden brown slightly cripsy-ness. Theyre veggie burger is one of the best ive EVER had.Their hand-spun milkshakes are always so so good, I often just stop by one to grab one on the go.MUST try their jalapeno ketchup. Staff is always friendly smiling wonderful people.Seating can be a bit cramped inside, so if the weather is even relatively nice, go for outside seating.
The waitress got an attitude with my friend because he only ordered a drink, I ordered a burger. When it came out, she slung it across the table at me and didn’t offer napkins or ask if I needed anything. When the check came she didn’t offer to split it, so I just took it out of her tip. This place is awful. The food is decent but I won’t be back and after reading reviews, I honestly don’t see how they are still in business. Thanks for the terrible service Kadi!
Clocked, Athens Ga. We enjoyed our visit and healthy alternatives to dairy & allergen foods. I had my chicken on a salad bed instead of buttery bun. A great place for many diet needs. Next time I will try the veggie burger sans bun. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful, by the way.
I go to Athens once a year for a conference. Every year, for the last 3 years, I have started my time in Athens with lunch at Clocked! The food is so good. Best burgers! The Ahi Tuna Steak is so delicious! The staff is amazingly hospitable and make you feel like you are right at home. Great beer selection and full bar. Nothing better than a burger and beer! Delicious sweet potato fries and vegetables frittes. Havent had a bad thing here, highly recommend. I know Ill be back next year
I have been a frequent customer of Clocked for years. Not only do I enjoy the atmosphere, as it has a vintage science fiction movie theme, but its outdoor seating has comfy views and is located next to a vintage record store, the Flickr bar, and the 40 Watt. Its my favorite part of town. The food is worth its prices. Its specials are varied and interesting, and you can definitely find vegetarian options that are delicious like the fallafel burger, black bean burger, Ahi tuna, or veggie fries. The burgers are made with fresh ingredients, my personal favorite is the Chicago Dawg (I never thought I would dig cucumbers with my hot dog) and the Parmesan Garlic Fries (though the fries might be a special recently). Their handspun milkshakes are thick and creamy and come varied and they have handmade pecan and chocolate mint pies. They carry a varied selection on Bells Beer on tap. However I would not buy mixed drinks or liqour here as the drinks seem over priced considering their are two bars next door with great prices. Staff is wonderful and always agreeable and food comes in on time even when busy.
The food is very fresh and delicious. The only negative would be the amount you get for your money. The burgers are amazing and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and homemade. You just pay more for more food which is the only drawback! Definitely recommend though.
Great Food ! We ordered a Patty Melt, that days special Pimento Cheese Burger and Tots all around :)Patty Melts can be greasy, but mine was not - juicy, full of flavor and served on beautiful, swirly marbled Rye - The Staff was very friendly and attentive. Well definitely be back :)
Simply the best burger place in Athens. They have so many options for burgers and you can even have different kinds of meats. The veggie option is very good as well as you can sub any patty for different veggie burgers. Highly recommend the peanut butter bacon burger. I dont know why, but that burger is just the best thing Ive eaten in Athens so far.
While service can be slow around lunchtime (understandably, its usually packed) the food makes up for it in a big way, the burgers here are some of the best Ive ever had, and the beer selection isnt too bad either. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent burger.
I have two small boys and we LOVE this place! For under $6, children can get a FULL portion of many different entrees, along with an organic juice box, a tiny brownie, and a side item. One of my boys got a cheeseburger that was the size of an adult portion. The large Greek salad isnt very large, but was plenty for me. Their vinegar dressing is wonderful... Meals can be pricey, as you pay separate for the entree, and then an additional amount for each side, but it is worth it for the location, atmosphere, and food. The servers are ALWAYS very friendly and helpful. They have 5-6 outdoor picnic tables. When the weather cooperates, this is the place to be!
Great food in a fun dinner feel. They always have a vintage sci-fi movie playing on the TV inside. The outdoor seating is nice and usually has shade depending on the time of day. I love their veggie options, I dont get veggie hot dogs very often! Also serves Michigan beers because the owner was from MI. One of my favorite spots downtown.
My go-to downtown restaurant. Highly recommend getting feta sauce with fries and their hot dogs are delicious. Also, theres a fee for take out, but its because they use recyclable material. The only bad thing is that the service can be kind of slow for such a small place. Its annoying when you can see a water pitcher on the counter but no one has come to fill your water in like 20 minutes. You dont wanna be rude and do it yourself but also u thirsty
Everything tastes good, but theyre always crazy busy, and the burgers are too done. Not sure they will even try to cook one medium rare. They also screwed up the tickets and charged another tables more expensive check to my card. They fixed it, but if I hadnt been paying attention, it wouldve been easy to accuse them of theft later on. Im pretty sure thats not what was going on, but making that kind of mistake does open the door to suspecting such things.
Never in my life have I walked into a non-busy, non-full restaurant with no line, and been asked to wait OUTSIDE until the rest of our party arrives, so as not to crowd the space. Food was amazing though. Just come with your whole party or the hostess will make you feel like you are trespassing.
The first time we went it took forever to get served but the burgers were good (they have very unique burger combinations). We thought wed give them another chance... big mistake! The 30 min wait was expected. The 1.5 hrs sitting in the sun outside waiting for food was not expected. We were brought our sides (fries, onion rings, and totts) as appetizers because burgers were taking so long. After being there a total of 2 hrs or so we asked for our check and our food to come out in to go boxes since we were now running late. (BTW two of our neighboring tables has been waiting even longer, has received their sides as apps also due to the length of time, and left without ever getting their burgers). My husband and kids ate their food in the car on the way home (I drove). We had ordered our burgers all med and med well. They were all VERY well done.Definitely will not be returning. Definitely not worth the $50
I am not one to write reviews, but I was so disappointed in this place. I have lived in Athens for 3 years, and I always hear rave reviews about this place. This place is supposed to have the best burgers in Athens, so I have always wanted to try it. I went with a friend from out of town early on a Friday before it was busy. When he took our order, I had realized they didnt ask how we wanted our burger cooked, which I thought was odd, but decided maybe the restaurant has only a certain level they will cook it to make sure the burger taste up to their standards or something. But then the burger came out, and it was well done. EXTREMELY well done. The patty had no pink, and was even a little crunchy. The burger did not taste bad, but it was very disappointing. I wanted to show my friend from out of town how good the food is here in Athens, and this place was a huge let down. She got a burger with jalapeños on it, but they looked oddly cut, and swore they tasted like green peppers instead. However, I did not try her burger since I do not enjoy spicy things, and wasnt willing to test it out.The french fries were pretty good, but they come separately, not with the burger.Last but not least, service was.... ok. Our guy could have been a little friendlier, but I dont have a problem with service not checking up on you every couple mins as long as drinks are full, so overall service was fine.May could have given 3 stars, since everything about this place probably results in a 2.5 star rating.

2022-05-19Authentic and juicy burgers with exceptional onion rings. A great place to eat quality burgers with family and friends. You can definitely distinguish the quality of the burger, just by the pattie alone. Well worth the travel!

2022-02-06A great little place for burgers- both meat and vegetarian. In house made dressings and sides. Delicious and reasonably priced. Service was super friendly. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that we had to sit on the crowded off porch and it was so cold. Otherwise, a 5 star meal!

2022-05-13Good gourmet burgers. The fries were not anything special. Its good that you can save by just ordering what you want and not have to pay for extras you dont want. The staff were friendly. The place has outdoor and indoor seating. Overall I would reccomend it to others or go there again.

2022-07-08Tried Clocked for the first time today. It was fabulous. I got the Peanutbutter! Bacon Burger no bun over salad and an order of Garlic Parmesan fries. My tastebuds were extremely happy! Great atmosphere and plenty of outdoor seating. The only drawback was finding a parking space . If you live in Athens or visiting as I was, definitely try out Clocked!

2021-12-21We had the jumbo deluxe burger with egg and regular fries with truffle mayo. Both were very good, the mayo was sooooo yummy. We also had the rum, banana, compari and punch drink which was very good but was also very strong!

2021-07-21This was a great surprise. We try new places al the time, and “Clocked” exceeded all our expectations. The restaurant has only outdoor seating but with covered patios and tents this is not an issue. Service and food, specializing in burgers, were great. I had a Ring-o-Fire burger and my wife had a Bacon and Cheddar grilled cheese. We shared some fine taster tots with bbq sauce. Street parking could be a issue, but a short walk is fine. Pricing was very reasonable.

2022-02-11If I could give this rating 100 I would, let me start by saying that the atmosphere is comforting; very cozy and inviting. The food was out of this world, the burgers are to die for, they have the best fried pickles I’ve ever had, and their garlic Parmesan fries somehow felt like home. They have a peanut butter burger that my husband said was “out of bounds” (super good 😂), and I had the Ring-Of-Fire burger, every bite had a jalapeño.The service was amazing, the staff was welcoming, and we all had some amazing conversations.100% recommend this place for a dinner or a night out. I know I’ll be back.

2021-12-22This was our first time here. It was a very small place with only 3 big tables inside and the smaller tables outside but covered. No heater though and it was still pretty cool and drafty. Service was good. After it took about 5 minutes for them to greet us. We didnt know what to do when we first walked in so we were just standing there awkwardly. The burger I ordered was decent. I feel like it was missing some flavor of some kind but that is my opinion. The fries were really good. I ate all of them before my burger came out. We also got dessert, the brownie sundae, and really liked that as well. We got a malt to go but it was more like chilled chocolate milk in my opinion so very milky. The prices are a bit high as well. Overall it was good and we may go back like once a month when its warmer

2021-12-13Ive eaten at this place on my birthday and it was a very fun experience. It was before they allowed people inside again but it was still enjoyable none the less. I ate inside recently and its a bit tight but the servers and nice and dont even get me started on there food. I had a grilled cheese and burger so I have views on both, to start out both are really good but I think I like the burger more then the grilled cheese. The burger was full, not dry but not overly greasy, and there was so much fun toppings. I got a friendship burger and Ill probably go back to eat that from now on. Definitely a favorite.
