4 family members ordered whiting fish the fish was extremely hard with no taste called to let them know the fish was too hard was told to bring it back they would cook the orders again softer when we picked up the new orders, I guess they got upset, there was no whole fish pieces look as though they broke the pieces up they looked like fish nuggets and was still hard cooked to long
This was my second time here and both times I was disappointed. I will not be returning. If your looking for crunchy breaded food... this is NOT the place. You can get better breaded and fried items from Cookout or even McDonald’s. I hope they find new frying recipes because I was very disappointed. The fries aren’t even fried crunchy. We live 3 minutes away from the restaurant.... why when we got home the fries were soft. I ordered the catfish and chicken tenders and I didn’t eat any of it! The breading on my fish just slid off like slime ... and the chicken was just fried with no flour or egg lol!!! SAVE your MONEY!

I was reading a lot of bad comments but today I went and things were nice. The lady that was cleaning tables, Id like to see her smile more. The food was nice and hot. Smelled good inside. Keep up the good work Albany!
First of all, I really didn’t want to go to this place. Thought it was just another fried fish place but we decided to go there today and WOW! I’m glad we gave it a try. The fries and chicken wings were FIRE!!! The cod fish was good too. Only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of but didn’t hate was the crab cakes and the fried scallops.
Called and was put on hold for 15 min. Tried back 4-5 times, no answer. Drive up there and there was only 1 customer in the building. You can get bigger oysters at walmart.
I love it I had the snow crab with shrimp and potatos and corn.

Over all very pleased with our experience. The wait time on the food was not bad. The food was prepared very well and the taste was spot on for the most part, everyones taste buds are a little different. Alot of food for the price so you should have a full belly when your done eating, we had to take a little home for later. Recommend that if you like seafood and/or Chicken you check it out.
They provide wrong meal. They actually good with orders. Giving them a pass.

Im a driver and decided to give it a try. The food was salty, fries cold, chicken taste like funnel cake batter. The drink fountain was out of hi-c punch & lemonade, no tea available. And it was overflowing with ice from being dumped out. I gave 2 stars because ordering was quick & efficient.
Couldnt figure out why they never answered the phone until I went there one day and saw that they leave the phones off the hook. Also the food is not worth the price. They are many places with better food and much better service in Albany, Ga.
I ordered food through UberEats and I waited over an hour and 30 mins for my food. When it arrived both meals were cold and soggy. My fries were drenched from the perspiration, my okra was underdone, soggy, and cold and my frozen lemonade was melted with a little piece of ice left in the cup. I understand that it was not the restaurants fault for the driver arriving so late but if they noticed that my food was sitting there for over an hour they should’ve have thought to remake it.
I have dine in and had take out. The place is simple. But the food OMG. For a fish joint their fried rice is the best in town. Will eat ther again and again.
Tried this place for the first time and it was surprisingly good. Great place to get some seafood and wings. You may have to wait a little bit, but its worth it. 😋
I ordered catfish and shrimp, I will never eat there Gain, the food was terrible, the crust on the fish fell off, shrimp and fries was soggy, cole slaw shouldnt be served. They dont deserve 1 star. I should have gone to the waffle house.
Wow!!!! Very pleasantly surprised at how good this place is. The seasoning on the fried shrimp and fillets was perfect and they have the best lemonade Ive ever tasted! And did I mention the prices are cheap!
It didn’t take long to receive my food after ordering and it came out hot, fresh and very delicious. There is a good variety of seafood on the menu and the large food portions were proportionate with the price.
So taste but too PRICEY... but Ill come back again. Wings were too flavorful and crispy. My family and I loved it! Definitely recommend for you to go there.

The cashier was on her personal phone,the chicken tasted like fish cause it was cooked in the same Greece and the crab leg I did get didnt hardly have any crab meat in it,it was a clean environment but for the money we paid for our food shouldnt have came in no plastic bag,please retrain your front end they cant take orders if they on their cell phones
The Food is good but they seem to now cook on a budget..The wings are now smaller but the price is still the same.I give this place a good run for a year before it goes out of business if they keep exchanging quality for more profit..Strongly disappointed in the new size of the wings..it was no where near worth the price
My first time visiting CodTail a month ago. And I ordered the crab cakes........ needless to say Ive been back for the crab cakes again..... and again. And I will be back this week......again...... For the crab cakes. Lol
Being from Florida living on the water used to all the fish you can eat we were very pleased with the food, service and portion this is a great place
I ordered fried three piece croaker with fries, coleslaw. I received a croaker fillet cut into three pieces, fries ok, tablespoon of coleslaw.I got heart palpitations after eating 1 piece of fish and a few fries. I will not return here.
Highly recommend their fried rice and cajun boils. In my opinion, best fried food joint on the east side of Albany.

Very overrated. My gizzard were cut in small pieces to appear there were a lot. Shrimp were very few in the shrimp fried rice. And the rice wasnt cooked right.
The shrimp was small and over cooked, the chicken gizzard smelt and tasted like the oil hasnt been cleaned or changed since they opened

2022-04-10I went here after a long day of sitting at the dealership. Lete tell you the food was delicious. I did the pick two combo and got the whole wings and tilapia. It was good. The seasoning was different than any other restaurant Ive been to. Cooked fresh and was hot when received. Only down side was the sprite wasnt sprite but seltzer water but the lemonade was on point. Highly recommend the funnel stick fries.

Freezer burnt fish (ocean perch), and the absolute worst fries this side of hell.After seeing this place sitting there for about two years now, I finally decided to give it a try. BIG FREAKING MISTAKE. I ate two fries, and one piece of the fish. I dissected the other two pieces to see why itd turned out the way it did. Again, freezer burnt. Fortunately, my order was small and was only out about $9.71. Dont bother...youll avoid disappointment

2022-03-07HORRIBLE! Dont even deserve one star! Ordered what was SUPPOSED to been a pound of crawfish & its wasnt NEAR a pound, and not to mention out of the 6 crawfish I received I was only able to eat 4 of them! I wouldve been better off going to Walmart & biting into a raw potato off they shelf, the potatoes werent cook all the way! Last time i ordered a pound I wasnt even able to finish all my crawfish due to it ACTUALLY being a pound, I called soon they opened and regardless I shouldve received what I asked for. I dont even eat corn, and had to finally eat my corn just to get full. Bad business! Will no longer spend my money here, and neither should anyone else!

2021-02-09The employee in kitchen were chewing gum with no mask, none of them in the kitchen had on mask ,they didnt have on gloves didnt see anyone washing hands, no sanitizer on counter, the soda fountain were dirty, didnt see employees sanitizing the tables, their health score were 83 🤔 the food were hot and fresh but the need to do more sanitizing, that why I gave them a 3 star.

2021-11-30I got the Whiting with shrimp and six honey garlic wings. Let’s start, the whiting wasn’t good at all. It wasn’t seasoned. You can tell they didn’t season the fish or the flour. Just dumped it in the grease, which is what it taste like. Fish had no flavor at all just breaded plain fish.The shrimp was actually decent, could’ve been bigger. I gave them two stars instead of one for this.The wings were also disappointing. No flavor even through they were supposed to be flavored. Just greasy chicken with no flavor. Also, the wings weren’t even in wing shape.The fries can be a lot better, just soft and kinda cheap tasting.Also the hot sauce was pathetic, not hot just red 40 with a kick of cayenne pepper.If Cod Tail reads this, PLEASE season your flour and your meat, it’s not hard to do and change your fries. And for your wings, season them then fry them then coat them in the flavored sauce.Wasted $22 for greasy garbage, couldn’t even finish it.They also give you a cheap Wonder bread with your meal, don’t even toast it or butter it.
