This truly is a very nice venue! This was my first time visiting the Columbus Trade Center, and I was blown away! I went there for Early voting for the Georgia Senate and if you ever are looking for a place for an event or large function, this is the place to hold such an activity! Simply superb venue!
Beautifully restored historic building. I havent been since I was a child. It was great to visit and see how well its been maintained through the years. Our conference went off without a hitch. Entire staff was friendly and ensured we had everything we needed while using the building.
Preservice was held here for three days... thanks to those ladies and gentlemen who served us on those days. They were awesome and very nice! The head server Ms . Kim went over and beyond to make sure our food was hot, fresh and on point. Kim... you and your team were the bomb! Thank you!
This facility offered great amenities for the convention I attended. Parking was plentiful. Room size was adequate for most workshops/sessions. Clean restrooms were available. The snack shop offered tasty food choices at reasonable prices. Elevator, escalators and stairs provided options for mobility. I would definitely attend another convention at this location.
We traveled here for a family wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. It definitely exceeded our expectations. The staff were soooo friendly and answered all our questions about the history of the building. The wedding was outside by the waterfalls. Just perfect. The re ception room was convenient and clean. Servers were a bit inexperienced, but were very friendly. The food was good. Would definitely recommend.
I attended Thes-Con and the event was so beautifully planned and staffed. This building in particular I found myself in over and over again for dance classes and more importantly dinner. They managed to feed thousands of us (I think around 5,000?) which is impressive on its own. Beautiful place to be and plenty of photo ops nearby! I suggest under the train tracks but be careful.
If you need a place to hold a large function or event this is a great place to do so .I have bought tickets from here and although the promoter whoever he is that did the TI concert which I sent friends too went pretty bad I mean they were in VIP and the artist didnt come until late did not take pictures with them as was suppose to be included in the VIP ...someone took their seats and when staff was informed nothing was done at all it was chaos, but outside of that incident the Convention and trade center itself for many years has been the home of the Fair, and many other great concerts, and conventions. For the most part they are well organized, friendly and very professional .
Pretty nice location although parking, at least from what I saw, was a bit tricky. Went for a military ball but there were also 2-3 other events going on at the same time. There were security band officers present which was nice although I dont know if they are always there. I believe there was an additional underground parking lot that seemed to have escalators that went to them but Im not sure. There was one small elevator I saw but there are also a lot of stairs to traverse. The exterior was pretty nice and had ample spots for beautiful pictures to be taken. I saw at least one large ballroom type area and one large banquet type area but I believe there were more spaces available. Not a bad location and pretty easy to get in and out of. Just watch out for the aggressive taxis and limos that dont seem to remember pedestrians have the right of way in crosswalks.
This historic building is beautiful. Most of the beautiful machinery, and iron products on display, are impossible to get to, however. Its all showcased behind class. The Trade Center hosts various events all the time, every year! Its actually surprising how difficult is to get a photo that captures the spirit of the place. In the end, we got a nice sweet shot out front.
We booked the venue more than a year before our wedding date because we wanted to ensure we had the rooms we wanted at this beautiful location. Three months before our wedding, we learned our event had been assigned a new coordinator, Angela Osbey, and she was an absolute delight to work with. She was very responsive to our questions and helped us figure out the last of the details for our big day. Even though our event was small compared to the others happening on the same day, we felt valued and well cared for throughout the day! Everything was perfect!
Great space for all kinds of activitiesHowever, be prepared to bring your own computers...the sound probably wont work, and if you can actually get on the wifi, the projectors are so old you can barely see the screen anyways. Technologically, theyre waaaay behind the times for offering great presentations. Unless they spend some money on IT upgrades, youre going to wind up being very frustrated. Otherwise its a beautiful space.
I had my reception here. I would have given it a 3 star but the food was excellent. However, I felt rush to eat and was actually pulled away from my pictures by I’m assuming the manager? Because they were ready for us to eat... who does that?? You weren’t my wedding planner or coordinator.
I am not sure this is going to post the correct way but as long as I say whats on my heart through this message my mind will stay sound, I which to thank Ms Hayley Tilery for the blessing of helping me when the need was asked some think that help from a employer is expected and other appreciate the help employers give, Ms Hayley I appreciate and thank you for the help and blessing, words can be spoken and actions can be done I commend you on both, keep doing what your job and heart guides you too and know in the end this battle is not yours, I pray many return blessings to you, a smile I give
The facility is pretty, but not managed well. I was at a convention & there were no concessions opened. We had to go across the street to the adjacent hotel. Maybe day two was better. The restrooms ran out of toilet paper. At the hotel across the street, the restaurant service was lousy. Never got waited on. Walked out.
This is an amazing, historically preserved, convention center. It has tons of space for events and still retains many parts of its original usage as an iron factory. They managing staff was very helpful to our group and our event went well. They have plenty of chairs/ seats and all sizes and shapes of tables you could need for any event. They can offer free or paid parking depending on the event. The rear of the building has an old huge elevator for bringing in items up to the size of a car, haha. There were snack machines nearby and plenty of restrooms.Everything went great, and this place is worth a walk thru just for its history, so come early for an event and wonder around and see some cool turn of the century artifacts. Wi-Fi is available but can get costly, I think about $10 per device/ login code for 1 day.
Attended the Bob Wright Symposium on Business Empowerment. Bob Wright is amazing, what an awesome experience. All the women on the panel today were so enlightening. Bryon Pitts did a fantastic job moderating. Robin Roberts was the keynote speaker and she was a breath of fresh air with her humble personality.
Since the complete restorative renovation re-opening in 1979. There have been many noted, memorable, events held at the Columbus Trade & Convention Center. The building structure is formerly known as the Historic Iron Works. This lovely place is a staple in Columbus, Georgia Historic District.Making history... In beautiful Uptown Columbus!
The largest space in the Columbus downtown area for large gatherings indoors. The staff have been helpful when I have needed them at events. It is an historic location with attached parking garage.(Be careful if you park in the garage, the entrance is at an odd angle and some low riding cars have scraped the front/back of the underside of the car. Also the turn, if you run over the little concrete spot just inside the entrance, can mess up your tire if you run over it too many times.)

2022-06-23This is a beautiful setting for a conference and well managed. The facility is a little dated but it doesn’t interfere with conference activity. Being right on the Riverwalk is a huge bonus. The food was good and the meeting and ball rooms were comfortable.

2020-02-02Fantastic venue for galas, parties, wedding receptions. Every time I have been here it has been elegant, clean, excellent food and drink, lighting, great acoustics for parties and dancing. Easy parking, great area for pickup and drop off from ride share and taxi services.

2021-12-01If I could give this place less than one star I would. This was an incredibly unprofessional experience. The venue is beautiful, but the staff was atrocious. After losing our appointment to tour the venue TWICE last year, a security guard volunteered to take us around the venue herself because the event staff could not be bothered to accommodate the appointment they themselves had booked. The caterer they forced us to use would not work with us at all. They refused to give us a tasting, then on the day of they allegedly had no record of equipment we had paid to rent months prior. Also speaking on equipment, we had initially paid to rent equipment for our ceremony and then later decided to forego it. We paid nearly $300 to rent this equipment, yet somehow our refund came out to $38?? Our event coordinator provided through the venue didnt even stay for the duration of the event. The event started at 5:00 pm and she got off work and left at 4:00. Which I find interesting because there were THREE weddings taking place in our venue at the exact same time as ours, with no one to direct guests or even signage. Then about a week after our event they had the audacity to call and claim we left our bar tab open, when we had a credit card on file for the duration of the six hour event.

2019-02-09A large facility with a variety of meeting rooms and convention rooms. The staff was very helpful getting me set up on the Wi-Fi and opening my workshop room. Will accommodate very large groups (thousands) to small groups as well.
