Comfort Inn & Suites Ballpark Area in Smyrna
Dorothy at the front desk is a very nice and personable lady. The room was a little small, but clean and the bed was comfortable. Check-in and Check-out was very smooth. The waffle maker was out of order, but no signs informing the guests.Overall it was a good stay, and I would stay there again.
If I could give a zero i would. Hard place to find, not marked off the road. Poorly lit parking area. 1 of 3 staff members was nice. Checked in went to room. Reeked of chloroine. Heard the bathtub running. It would not shut off. Dirty towels on the floor in the closet. Paint peeling and falling off the ceiling. Rust all over the bathroom ceiling vent. Peeling paint off the bathtub. Mold and mildew all over the ceiling in bathroom. Do not stay here. They refuse to give me a refund and avoiding my calls. Again DO NOT STAY HERE!! I have photo evidence but it wont let me post them.
Positive: Desk staff was excellent Negative: I haven¿t stayed at this hotel in a few years. I was shocked at the level of disrepair and neglect. Chipped and peeling paint. Old outdated decor. And the room absolutely wasn¿t as clean as it should have been. And the comforter had two large holes.
Housekeeping maintenance has got to do better. there is no excuse for bathtub to be rusty. red stains in carpet me having to go 3 rooms with stage 4 cancer going back and forth trying to find a room that air condition works and tub clean. dresser in 2 of those rooms chipped in same area.
Two thumbs down, horrible experience. The hotel was not clean. Some members of the staff were extremely rude. Old and chipped furnishings, dirty carpet. Dusty and dirty and rusted microwave. The only thing that was up to date in the room was the television. The whole place could use a coat of paint. I will never stay at Choice Hotels again.
I have stayed at this hotel within the past year and was disappointed in how much it has run down. I picked it because of the location to events I wanted to attend but would not go back there unless it were renovated. The worst part was the noisy group that had rented the conference room below my room. They were playing loud music and using a loud microphone until after 10:00 on both Friday and Saturday night. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. The shower had hair in it and the pressure was terrible along with the water only being barely warm. I used points for this stay and it was a waste. Very disappointed in this stay.
I was very disappointed in the condition and appearance of the hotel in regards to the general appearance of the chipped paint throughout the walls, elevator and my hotel room in particular. There was a wide space at the top of my hotel room, which made it necessary for me to change to a different room. The bathroom Shower floor had no rubber Stickers, and I was nervous about slipping while showering. The ceiling where the light was supposed to be was exposed with wires hanging out. My room was next to the boiler which made rumbling noises all night. Apparently this is an old hotel that needs to be upgraded with paint and in general remodeled.
For the location and brand of this hotel I had a much higher expectation of the facilities. Overall the hotel was filthy from carpet to walls and windows. Our bathroom in our room had black mold and mildew covering the ceiling. Things like mirrors and closet bars were missing. Our windows opened to a rooftop and people have been using that as a smoking area.
Would not stay here again. The bed was comfortable and the lady at the front desk for checkout was very friendly, but that was the only positive. The ceiling looked like it about to fall in and there were dirty rags hanging in the bathroom. We went for breakfast to find almost nothing there. The person I assume was the breakfast attendant rudely asked what we were looking for, and when we told her breakfast she point to the small refrigerator with a couple egg and cheese biscuits. When we responded that we expected more she said it was due to Covid, which dismissed seeing as we have stayed in multiple hotels recently and they all had full breakfast! We went elsewhere and got a real breakfast.
The hotel was priced well for a last minute decision however the room wasnt as clean as i expected. there were stains on the carpet and sofa. The water ran a little gray/brown when I first turned th water on. Other than that it seemed ok, no loud guest, the bed was comfortable and the staff was nice.
Paid for this hotel in October in full for our November trip. Was recharged twice during our stay. Was told this would be refunded but has not yet which means funds for our trip are being held up by charges that were never meant to be there. The room was old and dirty, the tvs cracked. The front desk service was the best part of this place. The gentleman that works 3rd shift was very professional and friendly.
The room was dirty and nasty upon arrival. Our microwave had burnt food stuck to it, our floors had a bunch of sticky red stains, there were roaches, and the refrigerator was disgusting. Also none of the outlets worked in our room causing all of our phones to die and I we ended up missing our reservations. But this isn’t even half. My older brother arrived while we were out and decided to wait in the lobby, the lady at the desk at the time decided to call the police on him after he explained the situation. Once we checked our I noticed my card (the one I used for the room) was frozen so I checked my bank statement. It showed that the hotel attempted to charge my card a total of 5 times. Mind you none of the amounts were the total of the room (that has already been paid for the day of arrival might I add) The stay was absolutely horrible. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
The check-in process was super easy and the staff was friendly. We were placed on the first floor so we had internal and external access to our room, which was nice as we didn’t get back from our event until about 2. The room was nice and the bed wasn’t as small as it seemed. It was cozy. The doors were a bit hard to open and close though. The card drop off was also really convient. Overall worth what we paid.
The stay wasn’t bad. The location was very convenient to many tourist destinations. The hotel itself needs an update. The carpet looks like what was in grandma’s house 20+ years ago. And the breakfast was decent. But I am disturbed by the extra fees. My rate included “taxes and fees” already paid during booking. I spoke with a lady when checking out who said there weren’t any additional charges. But then I checked my credit card statement and found $57.03 charged. I called the hotel and was told the charge was taxes. I explained I had already paid the taxes upfront. She apologized and said she’d transfer my call to the general manager. I left a voicemail two days ago and still haven’t heard from anyone. Very disappointed.
The space is undergoing some renovations which is great, but service was slow. The toilet broke during our stay but when we called for maintenance they did not show. We had to go back to the front desk and they moved us to another room. Also the USB ports in the wall (in both rooms) did not work.
My husband was walkin around outside OF OUR PAID HOTEL... a women accused him of doing something nefarious. When he came up to tell me, i went down to find out the problem and WE were being told they dont condone violence... chick FOLLOWING my husband got nothing said to her..
The manager, Milan helped me by phone prior to my arrival to make checking - in, a breeze. He was very friendly and professional. I appreciate his time making sure my stay is exactly what I hoped for. His attention to my request is refreshing and I am glad he will pass on my information to his employee on the following shift, so the chain of communication is continued. “Way to Go!” Thank you
Positive: The pricing was decent. Negative: There were stragglers lounging around the property asking for money. Some of them was actually inside the hotel breakfast area asking for handouts and the hotel front desk on that particular day didnt even ask them to leave the hotel.
Called to make a reservation for my 18 year old to stay while in Atlanta for the night. Told by the front desk they allow 18 year olds to check. I make the reservation and when I received the confirmation it says they must be 21. Called back to cancel because I was given the wrong information. Transferred 3 times and finally told I would need to wait 24-48 hours before I hear anything back. Absolutely outraged I was not given a refund or able to cancel this.
Would not recommend. We were at the end of the hall and multiple disgusting towels were laid out on the floor outside our door from where something (ice machine?) was leaking. The room smelt like body odor, our room door would not lock, the bathroom door looked like someone had taken a razor to it with multiple scratches, and the phone and outlets wouldn’t work.
The staff was very attentive and kind. The room was extremely disappointing. There was an interior and exterior entry point. The deadbolt did not work on the interior door. There was an EXTREMELY strong air freshener scent in the room and zero water pressure in the sink when turned to hot.
It took us two hours to check in because when we got there someone was in our room and when we walked in they jumped out the hotel window. The room was trashed and they had no other rooms available so we had to wait til they found us a clean room. The staff was nice and understanding but no offer of any kind to make things right. Just the owners phone number. Very traumatic stay. Will not be back.
Comfortable, clean and spacious enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family for sure, girl at front desk was very nice at time of check in. Room was well kept and up to date. I will be returning to this hotel every month without a doubt. I was upset over one issue, we could not get abc on television and clerk at desk didn’t know why.
We only stayed one night to go to the Atlanta Braves game and our stay was AMAZING. The staff is very very friendly. Southern hospitality at its best and we walked to Truist Park it was about a 20 minute walk and it was a great walk. We would definitely stay there again.
Do not stay here, horrible hotel. Our team and another at the same time moved out after one night. The entire hotel smelled bad with stains on the carpets and dark stains dripped from the bathroom seiling. The hotel smelled like Marijuana and people stood outside and smoked it. When someone on our team looked at the group, they asked what are you looking at and showed a gun. Some parents could not sleep because of fear and couldnt wait till the morning to find a new hotel and get out. Dirty and not well maintained. Fresh paint can only cover up somethings.
..****Update**** I booked again a week later my reservation said that there is a room when I got there the receptionist said there are no rooms due to lack of cleaning. And said I will have to cancel and wait for my money 3 to 5 business day. And in the mean time go book another hotel. So there for im loosing money and they are not comping me for the inconvenience. CALL AND CHECK BEFORE BOOKING!!! OR BOOK AT HILTON!!
We were checked into a dirty room, and it reeked of weed. We were on a time crunch to get to the ball game so we had to leave our belongings in our car. When we got back the A/C was off and it still had the weed odor. There were hairs on the towels and the comforter. I expected better with the location and traffic I know this location sees and especially for the price.
The foreign housekeeper, don’t keep a mask on this is COVID with no name tag on pulls on doors before check out time she talk to you reckless I seen her hollering at another customer when report issues to GM he does nothing. They don’t have anything for breakfast. I found one housekeeper Ms.Pamela B very helpful, nice, and assists you when you ask for help with something
The suite was clean and looked nice. Unfortunately the halls, elevator smelled like Marijuana so much could smell it in my room. It was not at all comfortable. I did not feel safe I would of checked out but my money was nonrefundable. I will not be back. Nothing but praise for housekeeping!!!
The front desk staff was very pleasant to my family and made our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was very decent. The lemon water in the lobby was refreshing too! The only issue we had was with a bathroom door in one of our rooms, it needs repairing. I would stay at this property again and recommend it to others.
Absolutely terrible. Disgusting, stained towels outside our room, on the floor. Broken locks in our room, could not lock the door. Phone and outlets didn’t work. The bathroom smelt or body odor and was extremely outdated. The room door and bathroom door have multiple scratches. I have pictures of everything if more information is needed.
Its an older Comfort Inn but its good for a short stay. The staff for the most part are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and I felt safe in and out of the hotel. The free breakfast is nothing to get excited about but there are plenty of food options nearby. Is it a 5* resort - no, but Ill give it a 4 on it being what it is advertised to be. My flight was pushed back very late and they gave me a late check out - makes up for the 2am fire alarm drill from the previous night.Id stay here again - the value for the price point is solid. And like I mentioned the staff are friendly and accommodating.Edited to add ..... the king size bed was very comfyJust one tip: Dont stay on level 1 near the guest laundry.
This hotel is in disrepair. The air conditioning didnt work in our room. The fire alarm was missing. The paint on the walls was chipping. The ceiling in the bathroom looked like it was drooping and chipping, as if it had water damage. And on top of all that, it was wildly over priced, because of its proximity to Truist Park.
The place smelled a little musty. It was not as clean as Id hoped. There was a section of carpet that was patched some time long ago and looks bad. It all needs replaced. The shower drain was very slow. While the place wasnt filthy, it is in need of upgrade and better cleaning. We stayed for a Braves game. Pre plan your transpo to the game unless you plan to walk. They say its .75 mile. I dont believe that to be accurate unless there is a shortcut walkway we were unaware. It also appears to be a lot of up and down long hills. The breakfast was a microwavable biscuit, juice, coffee, minimal fruit. Next time we will stay further out of town and stay in a nicer place for less $$ and just pay the $35 parking at the stadium.
Do not stay here!!! Absolutely unacceptable in every way possible. Open tiles in the ceiling with exposed wire, pool highly unsanitary, rooms were filthy, and many many more issues (remote did not work, scratches on walls and doors, stains all over the floor in room). I have never written a review especially a bad review for a hotel in my life, but thought it was crucial to warn other families before they decided to stay at this location....
Its an older Comfort Inn but its good for a short stay. The staff for the most part are very friendly and helpful. Our hotel stay was wonderful. The staff were so nice and accommodating. The front desk ladies were friendly and inviting and were so sweet to my little boys. We really enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool and our breakfast was hot and fresh. Our room was clean with fresh new carpet and even though there were obvious renovations going on, it did not effect the quality of our stay.
The neighborhood was fine. We were about 2-3 minutes from the ball park. Pool was cold, but clean. Breakfast was good. The dining room attendant was super nice. Hotel was clean and didnt stink. We were headed to N. Carolina and stayed 2 nights. When we came back, we decided that we liked the hotel enough, that wed stay on our way back home.
I felt safe, the room/facility was clean and the staff were cordial and caring.I gave this Comfort Inn 5 stars because compared to the nearby options like Red Roof Inn and the other option behind behind this location, it provided the superior experience.Surrounding retail, Target in particular, restaurants and accessibility also made this an ideal business to patronize.
This hotel looks like it was recently remodeled and it has made some good improvements. We had a very comfortable bed and I liked the suite style of our room. Our room smelled moldy and wet and the remodel job in there was poor. Other people in our party had much nicer rooms than ours. Breakfast was decent but nothing special. Shuttle to stadium costs $5 a person and it is a long walk to the stadium in the heat. It is a mostly uphill walk. Easy walk home from suntrust park.
Employees where very helpful. The motel is worn out! First room phone, heater, television and outside door had major issues. 2nd room had strong smoke smell in a no smoking room. 3rd room was OK for one night, but the shower curtain was falling apart and mold was starting to grow on bathroom ceiling.
+Beds are great, very quiet and clean area, very close to restaurants and shopping centers-The Wi Fi. For some reason, the internet here is so awful, it will disconnect after a set period of time (1-2 hours), sometimes even almost right after connecting to it on laptops! The staff are aware of the issue, but they need to work on improving their Wi Fi, if they are not doing so at the time of writing. Really dampens the stay for me when being here for a while.
When i arrived, they assigned me a room on the first floor (actually the basement - the office was on their seond floor.) The smoke alarm was missing, there were two visual 6 holes in the wall under the bathroom sink and the outside door (the room had a door off the corridor and a door leading to the outside) would not shut nor lock. I went to the desk and asked for another room. The desk clerk was very friendly and understanding and assigned me a room on floor 2. Beds were comfortable, but the walls are thin. I could hear a baby crying off and on throughout the night. Got up in the morning to take a shower and the shower head squirted water out of the shower. I took a shower anyhway and got dressed. I went to their breakfast area where they advertised a continental breakfast. There were no coffee cups so I asked the desk clerk to provide some. She was very nice and took care of it immediately. Now for the food. It consisted of yogurt, individually wrapped breakfast sandwiches that you put in the microwave, bananas and thats about it. No muffins or danish as advertised. Oh! Did I mention they advertise truck parking and there is none? I had a pickup and was hauling a 14 trailer. I had to park across five parking places. I wont stay here again. I only rated it 2 stars because the desk clerks were very nice and helpful.
Hotel was nice and clean. However, 3 little things bothered us. !. No towel bars in the bathroom. Had to either throw towels on the floor and lay them on the sink basin. 2. Had to move the coffee pot and unplug a lamp to plug it in. Where it was you had to either unplug either the tv or the microwave which was hard to reach and being used. 3. Microwave turntable was the wrong size for the microwave and wouldnt rotate. All three of these things could be easily remedied.
This hotel property provided some of the best elements of hotel stays. Those are quiet, cozy rooms, peaceful evenings and helpful staff!! This is not my first time staying at this hotel and it hasnt disappointed. We enjoyed our spacious suite and its amenities!! Plus, the staff was extra helpful and professional. All in all, a great stay for the weekend!!
The service was great and the room. I am an quality hotel member and this by far in this neighborhood is the best one. I also have kids and OCD lol so trust me the room was clean. The lady over the breakfast was EXTREMELY nice and helpful and kept the food fresh and good. I’ve stayed st the sleep inn in Marietta and that was ok but not like this. I. Actually wanted to do a survey when normally I would skip it. I wish I could’ve stayed longer but there was no rooms available but one night had me happy.
Old food left in the refrigerator, 1 set of towels left in the room for 3 ppl, no linen for pull out bed...had to keep going to the front desk then clerk is NEVER @ the desk so u have to wait 5-10mins! Ppl hanging outside the hotel and rooms all throughout the night. Not enough breakfast, smh!!!
So I would describe this property as a 3 star hotel however I rated it with 4 stars because I definitely stay again and would highly recommend. As I walked through the entrance of the hotel on my first visit I got the feeling that I was visiting a budget property given the dated feel of the elevator and color scheme of the carpeting and the paint in the hallway leading to my room.I have to tell you however that I was pleasantly surprised that my room.wassuite style with a living area separate and apart from a small but cozy bedroom area. The room was well appointed with contemporary, well maintained furnishings. Its best to book this room early in the day on weekends because its price can double in the evening. You will be pleased to know there is a complimentary breakfast offered in the morning.
Had a nice stay here for the weekend. Hotel has a pool, WiFi, breakfast included. Lots of food options nearby and a Target. About 15 minutes away from main attractions (unless there’s traffic.) Due to Covid breakfast and housekeeping is limited but I can’t fault them for that. Room was clean and comfortable. Only annoyance was the AC which was noisy. Kudos to front desk clerk Candice. She was very kind and helpful when I needed an extra pillow. I’ll definitely stay again in the future.
The hotel was an older Comfort Inn but it was well decorated with comfortable beds. The service, however, was very poor. The clerk who checked us in appeared angry that we interrupted her. Additionally, we had reserved an accessible room for my disabled husband and she gave us a room that was not suitable with no tv remote. When I returned to ask about it she was again rude and acted as if it were my fault even though my reservation clearly was for an accessible room. We still had the tv remote issue and I was not comfortable returning to the desk to get the issue corrected. The morning clerk was friendly but I would still not return to this location.
Good, I would recommend this hotel to others if ask! The hotel is in a good location, surround by restaurants and gas stations. It is not far from Marietta or other surrounding cities. I have been to Smyrna, Ga several times, but this is my first time staying at this Comfort Inn & Suites in Smyrna, Ga. The hotel looks fairly new from the outside, but they are doing renovations to the inside. Lobby area is very attractive looking and the sofa and chairs are comfortable for seating in. The front desk worker was very friendly and helpful when I arrived. I have a rewards card but, I couldnt find it. The front desk worker said Its okay, I will look up your information from your phone number. They was very nice of her to do that!!
The hotel is very clean with a welcoming staff. We never felt as if we were a bother. We were greeted by all the staff we saw, even those cleaning rooms that made eye contact. The hotel has a nice variety for breakfast. The counter always has a staff member to greet us as we entered and exited from the building. Our room was well kept, and very clean throughout our stay. The hotel is a short walk to the Braves Ballpark, however, it is an uphill climb to the ballpark, and I would suggest taking an Uber/Lift to the game and walking back if you arent in good physical condition.
The young lady who checked us in was very nice. She asked was I a Choice Rewards member, and I told her yes. There was a sign posted about Choice Reward members receiving a complimentary gift. I did not receive my Choice Rewards member gift. The hotel room was clean. The first night was fine. The room service came by the next morning. We asked them to come back. They didnt return, so I asked the receptionist to please have them clean our room and leave more towels. The staff left more towels but did not vacuum or make the beds in our room. I was disappointed. My husband and children went to the heated pool in the hotel, and it was extremely cold so they returned to the room quickly. There was no heat in that pool. The second night at 4:00 a.m., I had to call to the front desk because the toilet was stopped up and overflowing. A lady name Heather came right up and plunged the toilet and cleaned up everything and gave us some new towels.Heather was apologetic about the inconvenience. As we went to breakfast the second day, the lady had ran out of a lot of food. We end up getting Chic-Fil-A for breakfast as a result. As we checked out we told the receptionist about our experience and she was very apologetic. The lady who was working the breakfast asked how breakfast was and offered an apology as well. Room 414 also has the loudest refrigerator. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I would stay at the hotel again, but would hope for a better experience.
Very nice and clean hotel overall. My friend and I stayed here while attending a Paparazzi event. I was impressed with the spacious room. The front desk representatives were very kind and courteous. I love the area this hotel is located. We were close to all of the major food chains and shopping stores (Target being my favorite). I would recommend staying here.
Everything about the stay was great except for Housekeeping entering our room at will. The staff was very pleasant, the breakfast was great! But Housekeeping entered our room on day two at 4pm (I never requested anything from them) and on check out day, they entered the room at 11am, with the DO NOT DISTURB tag on the door, even though check out wasnt until 12pm NOON. This total disregard for their guests privacy is ridiculous. Like I said, everything else was great, but housekeeping really needs to be trained (and disciplined) on when they can/should enter guests rooms.
We were pleased with our room and the service we received during our stay. The staff were very helpful when an issue arose with a separate reservation for someone else in our party. The hotel is about a mile from the ball park so we decided to make the walk on Saturday night. It was a straight shot (for the most part) and took us about 10-15 minutes. Tip: For walkers, dont try to take a short cut through the neighboring properties to get to the game, it was hilly and fenced off. Walk out of the hotel, take a right and head to the intersection next to Wendys and the convenient store. The hotel does offer a shuttle service for $5 a head, I dont think the shuttle service is affiliated with the Hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast although, the dining space could be a little larger.
Overall good room, very clean. We attempted to use the indoor pool, but the water was freezing. My only other complaint was the lingering smell of weed inside the building. On the positive, they had a nice breakfast for those with the munchies. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is walking distance to Waffle House, which is where we had dinner, and a short drive to Target.Would I stay hear when passing through? Maybe, but all things being equal, I would probably try another hotel.
It was nice, lobby and breakfast was outstanding. Hallways could use some updating. Room was ok, but ceiling could be repainted in one solid color instead of two shades of white where you can see patch jobs. Also issues with the back door of the room, needs to be useable or should just be removed and patched over. Would be nice to have secondary entrances and exits for guests convenience (with having to use a card to enter like other hotels). Better do not disturb signs that go into the card slot would be great, too.
Some good qualities, but not enough to outweigh shortcomings. At breakfast, no staff member bothered to come into the serving/eating area during the 15 minutes I was there, to see if anything was missing or needed. (Like milk for the cold cereal.)Nice clean towels, but no towel bars. Nice bathtub/shower, but no soap dish.Exterior seemed safe and secure, with bright lighting and nice landscaping, but no trash can at outside entryway, so area littered with fast food cups and trash.
By far one of the best hotels I’ve been too. Everything was clean and the room had a fresh cozy feel to it. Plenty of restaurants and attractions near by as well. Target is only 2 minutes away which is so helpful when you forgot something at home. Also Dominique was extremely helpful when we ran into a problem extending our stay. She was quick to answer any questions we had. Her and the other staff were always extremely nice and welcoming every time we saw them! I will definitely be staying here again.
First room was a double queen, the bathroom was not cleaned at all (see picture). Towels in a pile, what looked like vomit still in the toilet. When I told the desk she said they didnt have any double queens clean so she upgraded us to a king suite with a pull out sofa. When we pulled out the sofa for my son to sleep in we found a Trazadone pill under the couch (thats a sedative and antidepressant - definitely not safe for kids) - also peanuts and two fake nails under the couch. And there was a dirty bluetooth laying next to the bed. Housekeeping was sorely lacking. However, the staff was very friendly. The night audit (I think her name was Dee) was very helpful. Breakfast was what I expected, cereal, donuts/bagels and the like. Biscuits, gravy, and eggs every morning. There was a little mini shop instead of vending machines in the lobby, I liked that. The pool was clean, but very small and not heated.Honestly - would have left a much better review, except leaving pills in the room is such an unnecessary safety risk.
Very nice clean hotel. Room was clean as well as the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was one oi f the best Ive ever seen. The lady taking care of the breakfast did a really good job. Plenty of options to choose from for anyones tastes. There is plenty of restaurants nearby and a Target less then a quarter mile away.
We came to spend the night before a Motorcycle Show at Cobb Galleria Center; the hotel is about five minutes from there, so the location is great. Right off the freeway, but very quiet. Parking is plenty. If you are OK with having fast food for diner, then there is no need to drive again. Too bad that the pool was closed, because the heater went out.The room was spacious and well set up. Bathroom and room itself were very clean. Central heat and air, which is very quiet. The only negative is, that the bathroom does not have a heat vent, so it was cold in the morning.Outside and lobby are very nice as is the breakfast room. Breakfast itself was OK; this rating is just because everything was just lukewarm. Scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, shredded cheese...would have been great hot.The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful.
The staff at this hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast server even made sure to make more eggs even though there were only 15 minutes left for breakfast hours. We reserved a second night and had a little confusion about our billing from the first night and the gentleman at the desk was very patient and helpful. The rooms were very comfy and clean--we will definitely stay here again if we head south for our next vacation!
I want to mostly praise the Weekend breakfast host.. She was so sweet and helpfull, I have 3 small children and she didnt mind them being a little messy and loud over the excitement of being on vacation. We had a nice chat and she made me feel so welcome. Her service was awesome!! Also the housekeepers was very friendly and inviting. although we was so busy we didnt have time to get in the pool it was very nice and clean! The room was great
They need to do better on cleaning, not satisfied groom had cobwebs in the corner by back door they need to do extensive cleaning do to Coronavirus and just general housekeeping. Didnt take pic because Im like that, but I did tell front desk what was going when I left🤯
The carpet in the room was stained all over. the bed was comfortable and otherwise room clean. the a/c had a whirring whistling noise which continued for several seconds after unit turned off. noise from people upstairs like kids running and jumping and noises from the office at 1 a.m. - the office was right next door to our room. tvs on digital service with no instructions for use. we always try to stay at choice hotels because of the quality and consistency - not this one.
Let me start by saying that the staff at this hotel after incredible. One that really stood out was Carlonda. She was absolutely amazing, one of the nicest people we met on our vacation. I cant say enough good about her.The hotel was nice. The TV only gets about half the channels youre supposed to get, and the pool was freezing cold. Other than that, it was a great stay. One other thing: if staying there for a Braves game, Vics transport is the way to go. Great guy, friendly, and very affordable
For what we paid, we had good value. The desk person was somewhat unfriendly, no smile. The complementary breakfast was fair. The room was clean when we arrived, but the next day we had to request someone tidy up the room for our second night stay. That should have been automatic. I should mention that when we first signed in, we were assigned to a room that was unacceptable, had a musty smell and the carpet was wet and smelly. When we complained, they quickly reassigned us to a different room. All in all, I think we had good value for the price.
The front desk personnel were professionally accommodating and very courteous, addressing all our needs. And the cafeteria attendant did a great job in preparing wonderful breakfast selections each morning.. And last but not least, the room cleaning staff were extremely kind and did an outstanding job in making us comfortable. We were very satisfied with all of the services provided during our stay.
Comfortable bed. Friendly staff! This is our second stay. Carlonda at the front desk is very kind & professional! Some (what I would call) difficult people were at the front desk last week and I watched her navigate the situation with grace & professionalism, never losing her smile. She then apologized for my wait & was extremely efficient getting me to my room quickly. I was happy to see her again tonight. Thank you for being so welcoming. You do a wonderful job!
Been here many times before. GREAT staff! Fast check in! Bed could have been better TV and remote was difficult to use. LOW water pressure in the shower...…….HOWEVER, it is CLEAN and again the staff is very good! I have had other rooms here and EVERYTHING was GREAT so maybe it was merely room 208.
I believe this hotel was probably pretty nice in most guests rooms. We arrived later at night and feel like we got the leftovers. Im not usually real fussy about the room as long as it is clean and comfortable. This room was both. However, it needs some major updating. The carpet was worn and torn. The sitting room furniture was old, dirty and uncomfortable. There was no shower curtain and the toilet wouldnt flush in the morning. The upside was that the room was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. I would stay here again, but, not in that room.
Had a 3 day stay, meeting up with family who also stayed at hotel. The room was clean and welcoming, the beds very comfortable - had a great nights sleep every night. The breakfast was hot and cold buffet style, the staff kept it well topped up and cleaned off tables etc discreetly. The manager was very visible and spoke to everyone at breakfast asking if everything was to our liking, he was a mine of information on the area and gave us some great tips for eating, things to see and places to go to. I will definitely stay there when I go to Atlanta next.
We have enjoyed our stay at this hotel for 3 years running. Everyone is so helpful. The breakfasts offer a variety of yummy choices. Laura was particularly helpful this last trip. Only complaint was the pool. It was closed for maintenance. ( Last year we were told there might be heated pool but that didnt happen). Asked for and received easily accessed room. Very comfortable.
Hotel is undergoing renovation. Fitness center is closed. Room was clean. Shower was showing signs of ageing, but plenty of hot water and the actual shower put out more force than the bathtub faucet would have indicated. I was a few doors down from the elevator and did not hear it. It would be nice if the mothers of fellow travelers had taught them how to hold and gently close doors, rather than simply walking into their rooms at midnight and letting the doors slam.
So, for starters get to the hotel at 11 pm. Only people there at the front desk checking in. 45 minutes later finally get checked in. The lady checking people in checked out our room to another guest 20. She still had the other guests room sheet. You have each guests credit card, ID, and sheet with each guests name.. so, how should this be happening? room was prepaid, different lengths of stay, and different room types. Paid more for a double bed, they gave us a single bed. Wouldnt refund the difference. Was told the manager would call me twice (once on day of check in, once the next day when I went down to confirm we still had a room for the next day). Manager never called.Room was in dire need of remodel. Carpet was torn and missing in many spots, room smelt like a smokers lounge (its non smoking), shower curtain rod wouldnt stay put...Staff didnt seem to really care. Told housekeeping to come back in a few minutes to clean our room. They never did.Overall, a terrible experience. It was less than a mile from the sun trust park.
Great hotel. Easy on and off interstate. Very friendly young lady--I wish I could remember her name--at checkin. We stayed one night on our way to Florida. We were supposed to have a king room but somehow ended up in a king suite. Either way it was a very nice room. Very comfortable bed for a good nights sleep before and after traveling. Would DEFINITELY recommend and stay again!!
After reading several great reviews we chose this hotel for out trip. The only positive thing was the front desk was very nice. The room carpet wasnt laid right, you had to sit the coffee maker on the floor to reach the outlet, the tub didnt drain well, the ceiling had a large water stain and was peeling off, the walls had splatters of lord knows what, the walls were in a desperate need of a wipe down and the breakfast was ok but the waffles were to runny to cook.
Comfortable and clean room, with everything necessary for an overnight business stay with my wife along. They prepared us a goodie bag with snacks upon our arrival, and had almost a waffle house style breakfast right there in the motel breakfast room in the morning. 😊. They even had warm cookies under glass for arriving guests. 😊 Lots of good things for my diabetic wife to enjoy at breakfast as well. I did not expect such graciousness and hospitality, especially at the fair price of the room. From start to finish, a great experience. Thanks Guys.
Hotel was very clean, our room was clean and the hotel was quiet at night. Breakfast was good and the coffee tasted fresh. There was plenty of variety to choose from at the breakfast bar.We did not bring swim suits; had we checked close enough to realize the pool was indoors we would have brought them in order to take advantage of the pool for exercise. Pool area was very clean as well and inviting.Staff is very friendly and eager to help if you need it.
We were on the fence about which place to stay; we were only staying one night, but having a good room to sleep in before a long drive makes a difference. Found good rooms, surprisingly close to the concert (4 mins away) and off the main road. The real reason we chose this hotel was the reviews, however! I’m not sure if this was the right site we read from but the responded to some of the reviews was downright hilarious. If you’ve ever worked customer service, you’d know exactly where that person was coming from. We seriously stayed here hoping to meet them lol. JB, wherever you are, you get five stars from us lol!!
The staff is extremely friendly and polite, cant say enough about it.The building and location leaves much to he desired; though I did stay during renovations, so keep that in mind. The pool was being redone so the smell of bleach and construction was present. The halls also smelled of paint, so it must have also been refreshed recently. The hotel has a cozy feel that a larger holiday inn cant achieve, but overall the interior is a bit dated and dark. The rooms seemed to have a slightly musty smell. There isnt much a hotel can do to remedy an old building, but I did feel simply a fresh coat of paint and superficial renovations were used when more could have been done. Not an unpleasant stay, average.Stayed September 2016, traveled on business
I would have been ok with my stay if my bedroom had been cleaned. Relatives stayed a few doors down and their room was fine. After discovering how disgusting my room was I sat in the lobby and observed the daily operations. The customer service was there but other than a few men doing some carpet cleaning and mopping it seemed like the rest of the staff were lazy and doing the minimal amount of work they could.
The hotel staff was very accommodating and nice which is why I gave it two stars instead of one. Never in my life have I ever gone to a hotel and the toilet was dirty and I had to purchase cleaning supplies to clean it. The couch had a huge pee stain on it and there were brown stains all over the carpet. I will not be coming back to this hotel at all and I do not recommend anyone to stay here.
The hotel was full and loud. The staff was attentive to our needs and worked to keep the halls quiet. The breakfast was missing some items Sunday morning but was still adequate. I would stay at this hotel again. We have stayed here several times in the past and have had good experiences.
Positive: Hotel was clean.Negative: Hallway reeked of cigarette smoke even though it was a no-smoking building. Hot water was not very hot and did not last through my whole shower. Our room was in the basement, and there only six or so rooms on the wing, so we expected it to be quiet, but we heard people going in and out and laughing loudly until 1:30 a.m. Person at the front desk blamed the noise on the hotel next door, but it was other people on our hall.Overall: Will not return.
Breakfast is bland to say the least. Rooms looked dirty and old. Would NOT stay here again. Far better hotels here for this price. They also weren’t accommodating that we ended up only needing out hotel for an hour and still charged us full price. The also found my cash app somehow even though I was just joining the party on the reservation not paying and charged me. Seems like fraudulent activity. Unprofessional I would not trust them with my card information or even my full name.
We choose to stay at this hotel for a family vacation. The staff were all great, from the front desk to maintenence (there was a small bathroom issue they took care of asap, thanks for the quick response), to breakfast and cleaning staff. The breakfast area was busy most mornings, so it did take a bit more time than normal, but the breakfast staff were moving as quickly as possible. The only complaint is that we specifically choose this hotel for the indoor pool. This location was further away from our daily excursions, but we choose it specifically because it was one of 12 with indoor pools out of 30+ Choice hotels in the area. Our experience in the past has been that every indoor pool is heated. Not this one. Needless to say, the water was very cold, and we could not enjoy this amenity during our stay. My children were extremely disappointed. While it did not ruin our stay, it did cause extra waste of time as we could have stayed at a different hotel closer to our daily jaunts into Atlanta. The hotel simply needs to be clear on the website that their indoor pool is not heated.
Carlonda at the front desk was AWESOME!!!! Sh ed facilitated getting dinner the night before my surgery and voluntarily brought me breakfast the day afterward. The day of my surgery she made sure to let me know my mom called to check on me as I came in the hotel. She even came to the room to check on me to see if I needed anything. Ill return to this property because of her customer service if for no other reason. She was that GREAT! She deserves a raise and promotion from the hotel owner!
Outside appearance of the hotel look great. Old hotel but was remodeled in mid/late 2013...clean, but seem like skipped on some the fixes. For example the smoke alarm being attached to the ceiling by double sided tape. Beds were very soft and Bath was very clean. Shower were immaculate, the remodel job was awesome. The ice holders in the room are not insulated at all...this is the 1st comfort inn I have stayed at where this has happened. I think the carpet could use a steam clean...it was a slightly worn, but still had life in it. Walls and ceiling were done well. The halls could definitely be better vacuumed, along the walls were serious dust buildup. Breakfast was so so when it came to the eggs and sausage, which is not everyday. And even though breakfast starts at 0630, everything was not ready till about 15 - 20 min later. So if you are on an early schedule, please be aware of this.
I had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at this Comfort Inn! The hotel, although older, had been upgraded and updated to todays standards. The Customer Service staff is wonderful, pleasant and responsive to any requests/complaints. Bed was very comfortable and I love the small pillows! It was central to the areas I intended to visit while in Metro Atlanta and close to the expressway. The morning breakfasts were quite good and there was plenty to choose from. I would stay here again.
Nice, clean property. The front desk staff was so helpful and informative to each guest as they checked in. The lobby was neat, a little out dated but clean non the less. Breakfast was limited but plentious. The hours of service for breakfast is limited so be sure to get up in plenty of time to take advantage of it. Its free. No evening snacks though.
When I booked online at this hotel, the room booked said it was a 2 bedroom suite. This typically means there are 2 bedrooms each with a bed and another room with a sofa sleeper. When I checked in, I was given a room with just 2 double beds in it. I went back and complained. I was given what they consider their 2 bedroom suite. This was only 1 bedroom with 1 bed and another room with a sofa sleeper. I am female and had 3 adult males with me. I expected them to have a bed and a sofa sleeper to share. One of them had to sleep on the floor because of the situation. The staff was extremely rude about this and did not seem to care. Unfortunately since there was a hurricane, there were no other rooms available. Then I found that there were only 2 bath towels in the room for 4 adults. I asked for more towels and also received rudeness from the staff. No towels were brought to the room. The next morning I tried to get more towels, and it took 45 mins to get towels. This was a 2 night stay. After housekeeping cleaned the room, there were only 2 towels put in the bathroom from housekeeping. I tried again to get more towels on the 2nd night. No towels were available. The next morning, I went to the front desk. It took 30 mins to get 2 towels.
Staff wonderful and helpful. This particular hotel was priced too high for the age of the hotel, but was certainly worth staying for a lower price. Our rooms smelled musty. The breakfast area was great and the breakfast was kept at perfect serving temperatures. The staff in charge of the breakfast area was very helpful also.
The front desk person was actually a very sweet person named Shaniqua. She had some issue checking in person ahead of myself and another family. We stood in line forever. Then she stepped away to go check if acroom was clean and said another gentleman would help us and this gentleman had been around all along and never stepped in to help and just left us standing there for nearly 30 minutes. The hotel was depressing and the rooms were terrible. Not necessarily dirty but left unprofessionally finished. Coffee machine was empty and I have no idea what happened to it but they had to make coffee in a different type machine and that took time at the height of the breakfast hour. I would not return here.
Gorgeous motel, and as a Choice member was greeted especially well. We were given a goodie bag, and enjoyed their hot chocolate, lemon water and coffee station. We stayed in the king suite. (Used points) Not our normal room choice, so this was special and we felt like we were celebrities. I called to confirm they had an indoor pool. (Something I wanted for aching muscles) The pool was small, and room temp and water were chilly, but I swam anyway. My husband enjoyed their exercise room. The room had pretty decor, with 2Tvs, wet bar, refrigerator, and microwave, an outer desk/living room area. Bed was clean and very comfortable. The commode and sink space were tight for 2 people using those features simultaneously. Shower had hot water and great massaging head. Unfortunately, we were located near the front entry and there were some noisy guests chatting, joking and carousing not far from our window. We did call the front desk, and 10 minutes later they disbanded. Thankful!Breakfast was delicious and hostess was friendly and kept everything tidy. They had added little extras to the breakfast....raisins, granola for cereal, had blueberry waffles, and even wrapped the apples in cellophane. It was a lovely place to stay except for the chilly pool and noise which did not last too long.
For the most part the overall stay was good The location and comfort of the rooms were very good. Even though I came in contact with a great front desk rep checking in/out, who couldnt have been better (african american woman, with short hair who sister also works there, I also had a bad experience with another one. My boyfriend went down to the front desk to get toothpaste and returned to the room and it was expired. He went back to the desk and the woman kept telling him that it was not expired. The date on the side of the colgate toothpaste packet clearly read EXP. FE 18. Im am very familiar with dates on products and I was offended.
Clean hotel with a very friendly staff. Check in was a breeze as was check out. Mini fridge made a noise in the first room, but the front desk quickly moved me to another room. Housekeeping crew was truly a joy to see as all of them were really nice. No funny smells in the rooms and easy access to the freeway.
I have stayed in this hotel several times and more than likely will stay again. The staff were very pleasant and helpful no matter the time of day, the room was clean as well as the outside of the hotel. Felt safe and was very comfortable. I was not completely satisfied with the breakfast options this time, but in the past I had no complaints. Breakfast would not be a reason for me not to return....I will be back!
I usually spend with my family 10 to 15 nights a year in Choice Hotels during our road trips. When we want something little bit better we choose Comfort Inn and we pay a little bit extra. This particular hotel charges a little bit extra but doesnt provide basics. When we arrived at hotel I asked for coffee. The lady at the front desk said that she is cleaning a coffee maker but I can make coffee in my room. After driving for 12 hours all I want is to get a quick cup of coffee which is usually not a problem at other hotels. Next morning we did not get hot breakfast because the person who makes breakfast did not show up at work. Moreover, the hotel looks outdated, and overall very disappointing experience.
Toilet stopped up as soon as my family arrived. The room stinks. Its too old to be charging what they charge for these hotel rooms. Its definitely not like any other comfort inn Ive visited. There was only one towel when we arrived. We called room service they came and only wanted to give us one towel also. Mind you its me my wife and.our daughter. The door sqeek loud to the bathroom and the toilet makes loud aggravating noise after you flush it. It was definitely not a pleasurable stay at all for the $200 I spent
The staff was very friendly and willing to please. They did not tire of answering questions from a weary traveler. When there was one unpleasant situation, they resolved it quickly and without fuss. I was eager to fill this survey out as I was very happy with my stay. My kids loved it and so did I!
I wanted a peaceful, comfortable stay and thats exactly what I got. Housekeepers didnt bother me. They asked me only once if I needed anything and didnt hover like some of the other hotels. There was no bugs or smell in the room. Everything was clean & well stocked. I enjoyed my entire stay (:
I often stay at choice hotels as a business traveler and as usual it was the right choice. The hotel was clean, quite, and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable and as usual the hot breakfast was filling and tasty. I often travel with my service dog and I received no grief from the staff over bringing my dog with me. The only issue was that the staff had turned off the HVAC system in the lobby and dining area, I imagine for their own comfort which made it very stuffy and uncomfortable while having breakfast. After addressing this with the staff they turned it back on. Thanks and we will stay again next trip to Atlanta.
I seen other reviews stating the beds were comfortable....I do not see where they get that. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in it was like sleeping on the floor. The room was not cleaned since there was a bag of empty chips in the drawer along with a snicker candy bar and a sticker on the TV and on top of that we let the lady at the front desk know the lock on the door broke nothing asked if we wanted to switch rooms. If I could give no stars I would. Advise the lady at the front desk the bed was horrible even with a thin mattress topper on it, all she had to say is sorry. For 131 dollars we could have slept in the truck bed and been more comfortable! Absolutely the worse beds ever!!!!
We stayed overnight for a conference. The room was great and the staff was wonderful. The pool looked like it was nice, but we didnt really have a chance to swim. I did go to the fitness center, which desperately needs more to be considered a fitness center. Overall, the hotel was great and I would stay there again.
Very satisfied with the coffee and breakfast. bed was very comfortable and clean. room had minor issues: leak from tub/shower made the carpet wet outside of the bathroom. the toilet seat had only one bolt holding the seat on. the tissue holder built into the sink appeared as if it had not been cleaned in weeks perhaps longer. i informed the front desk but i want to be sure this is addressed here as well.staff was pretty good.
This is a standard Choice Hotel offering. The rooms are the most comfortable of any hotel chain that I know of, and this one is no different. The breakfast was again, standard Choice Hotel fare, and that works just fine for us. If you are looking for a nice, SAFE, and comfortable room, then this is your place. If you are looking for a 5 star experience with valet parking, then look elsewhere. That isnt reasonable to expect, and I think that some of the reviews I read prior to our trip, did expect that. It made picking a hotel difficult, as we are not from the area, obviously. The staff here was more than friendly and helpful, even offering us a later than late check out for a special need that we had. I got all that I could have asked for here, plus a little more. I recommend this hotel for a good nights sleep, and would (and probably will) stay here again. The only negative thing I must add, is that there was a cigarette smell in our room and in the hall. I would say that this hotel could maybe work at getting that rectified, or call it a smoking room instead. Still, the room was very clean. This was a good place to stay, and Im glad we chose it.
We stopped here traveling south because as a member I had a discount coupon. The room, while needing updated, was clean and comfortable. Mr Fogg, who checked us in, was the nicest, most helpful and patient employee I believe I have ever met checking in. You are blessed to have him as your employee.
We were very lucky to find a room here last night!! The staff was incredible! Super friendly and willing to help us find the best rates. Unfortunately the rooms were sold out for the rest of our days here, but we will most definitely be back!! Thank you enormously to Dee, and the young lady working front desk this Saturday morning, all of your help was greatly appreciated.
When we got to the hotel to check in, the lobby was stuffy and hot. There were 2 trucks parked in the way so we had to back out down the hill because the vehicles were not going to be moved. Apparently the big white F150 that was jacked up was a resident of the hotel who is a construction worker that has been staying there for about a month. The other vehicle was an older white Ford Explorer 2 Door that was playing loud music. The resident and his friend were outside in the bench smoking and drinking with the loud music playing. We finally got checked in after about 20 minutes of the person behind the counter trying get everything entered (she also signed us up for choice hotel rewards) so that may have delayed the process. When we were bringing our luggage in there was not any ventilation in the hallway or elevator and it was about 90 degrees outside. Anyway, we got into the room and the ac was set in 75 degrees after we were already burning up. The room was okay but not what the last hotel we stayed in was like with Comfort Inn and Suites. It was just not comfortable at all. The pillows were flat and hard. The bed was hard as a brick. We woke up every hour on the hour from being uncomfortable. My wife was very upset because we went to a concert and and drove and had been up for 16 hours. We only slept about 5 hours total that night. The breakfast was decent. Hot at least.
Pros: bed was comfortable. Breakfast choices were good. Parking is free and there were plenty of spaces. Good location. Cons: Hotel room was outdated, had a musty odor, toilet would flush once and had to wait about 30 minutes to flush again. Carpet was torn. Headboard looked oily and dirty. Sofa chair was dirty.
This is a very nice property. Nothing fancy, but definitely clean and well-appointed. Everyone on the staff, from housekeeping to the front desk staff made me feel welcome and like a valued customer. Very friendly and helpful.I also found the location very convenient. I was going several different places and found this to be a nice, central location - near transportation, a shopping mall, restaurants - yet not overly crowded. I would highly recommend this property and will likely stay there again.
Mr. Donnelly and the staff at Comfort Inn Smyrna are outstanding! Their kindness and helpfulness went above and beyond any hotel service we have received over the course of many years. The rooms were super clean and the beds were very comfortable. Charlene took care of us each morning during breakfast. She is so friendly and did an excellent job. We loved our stay at Comfort Inn.
This hotel was very comfortable and had great rooms and service, but I have two comments:First, do not select this hotel based on the indoor pool. The pool is very small, shallow and unheated.Second, the free hot breakfast had a good selection including pour your own waffles, eggs, cereals, cheese omelets, yogurts, hash, toasts, and pastries. The breakfast dining area was very nice, but I would prefer that the wall mounted TV was not so load. Most people are eating with families and do not need a loud TV for entertainment. We ended up taking the food to our room to avoid the TV nuisance.
My husband, myself &12 year child visited March 21, 2015-March 24, 2015. The main reason we picked this hotel was the inside pool. It was VERY small, and NOT heated, we were going to see about extending our stay. Glad we didnt since the pool was VERY upsetting. We ended up going to another Comfort Inn with a heated pool. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was decent wish it had more of a variety. Wi-Fi was very poor, even with hot spot on on phone.
We are members of Choice Hotels and travel regularly using the Choice Hotel chain. We stayed this past March at Comfort Inn & Suites, 2221 Corporate Plaza Parkway, Smyrna, Georgia and highly recommend this hotel for others. We had a little trouble finding the hotel so do watch for signage. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff member and handed us two “goodie bags” that included treats and a bottle of water, very nice after a long day of travel. This hotel has been recently renovated with a bright and inviting front lobby, very clean breakfast room, (one of the best Choice Hotels breakfast and coffee that we had during our recent trip, the staff were pleasant and attentive to our needs). Our suite had new furniture, a bedroom with an extremely comfortable king size bed, a living area with desk, sofa, mini refrigerator, microwave, and bar area. There are several restaurants nearby and there is easy access to Highway I-75 for continuing travel. From a previous stay at another Choice Hotel, we noted that points were not added to our Choice Hotels account. I explained this to the staff member at the front desk of this hotel and immediately she called Choice Hotels and spent much time having this issue fixed. What outstanding service! Thank you!! There are other hotels in the vicinity but this is the hotel that we would recommend from our experience with the quality and the customer service!
We stayed here as an alternative to the conference hotel where we were attending an educational event. The Comfort Inn is clean, up to date, affordable; and, easily accessible from the highway. The rooms are comfortably appointed, with the added conveniences of a refrigerator and a microwave. The bathrooms are clean and updated as well. The staff is friendly and very professional, and very helpful. We asked about nearby restaurants and were directed to a lovely cajun/seafood place. Shopping is very close by as well. The breakfast buffet looked delicious; but, all I sampled was the coffee, as food was provided over at the conference. Great place! Id stay here again if I were in the area.
I was pleased with my stay after being moved to another room. I arrived on Friday and checked out on a Monday. My initial room had a bad connection with the TV. Also, the bathroom appeared to have mold in the ceiling. I addressed the issue with the desk clerk and she moved us immediately. After moving the other room was much better...However, one tip for the housekeeping is to clean the walls and mattress and box spring closer to the end table. That area needed a little attention. Other than that I was pleased with my stay.
Room smelled bad and there was a weird stain on the sheets. Bathroom smelled like mold and the next morning I called them to bring me a face towel to shower they never came. Couch had a cut in it like somebody slashed it with a knife. I already paid for this room before coming and was only in town for a night so I went with it. Would not recommend!
I booked this hotel because it had a indoor pool.i didnt realize that it wasnt heated.i assumed that all the indoor pools were heated.why put it indoors if its not heated and useable. my grandchildren were very disapointed that they couldnt swim.the water was very cold ,no one was using the pool, which it is sad you have a nice pool area just not useable. the room was very nice ,clean, very comfortable beds. the breakfast was really good with a good selection of food.this would be our place to stay when we visit six flags if the pool was heated .sinse the pool isnt heated and i have grandchildren that love to swim i will have to look else where.would love to see that heat was added to the pool then your hotel would be the perfect place to stay.
Everyone on staff was friendly! We enjoyed a King Suite with our two children, that was very clean and roomy! The breakfast had something, each of us enjoyed! The kids were a little disappointed that the indoor pool wasnt heated, but they tried it out for a few minutes anyway! We felt the hotel was in a safe location, just outside of Atlanta on the way to the World of Coke! Location was easy to find, by putting address in GPS! Thanks for a Great experience!
This hotel is really clean. The staff is extremely welcoming, from the moment you walk in the door. The lobby is decorated very open and inviting. The room is also decorated very nice. One of the best custumer service I have ever experienced from a Hotel staff before. I will definitely be using this hotel again next year when I stay in town again.
Hotel was good and a safe and good location but carpets were wet, linens felt damp but room was clean. Maybe it was because the AC wasnt working causing humidity but we were there for one night so no reason to bother changing rooms. Was on lower level and had an outside door/entrance to parking which we liked.
This hotel is advertised as pet-friendly through their vendor Trip Advisor. They are not pet-friendly and you will end up paying triple for bringing a pet. Upon check-in, I did initial a statement that said $200 fee would be charged for pet damages. This would be fair and understandable if my two small dogs were to damage anything. I checked in, left for a while for a New Years Eve event then came back late. When I was coming through the lobby from letting the dogs outside, the new employee at the counter informed me that it was not a pet-friendly hotel and that I would be charged the $200 fee for damages. At this point, I had already checked in, it was New Years Eve with few other options left in the city, and I would be charged a cancellation fee for backing out on the reservation. While I was paying the fee, I showed the woman at the counter that their vendor, Trip Advisor, has the hotel listed as pet-friendly and that is how I found their hotel. She said that it did not matter to her. I would be more understandable if they had acknowledged the error and made an exception or if the fee was clearer and more reasonable. There are other hotels in the area that are pet-friendly. Stay at any one of those instead of paying more at this one
We arrived late and Jessica, who checked us in, gave us lots of helpful information and was very friendly. The lobby was cozy and the room comfortable. The elevator was a little rough - jerky ride - but was a good value and definitely will recommend to my travel agency clients who drive to Florida. Breakfast was included, which made it a good value.

2022-07-10We stayed one night while in Atlanta to go to the Braves game. It is approximately 1 mile from the stadium. It is a safe walk but there are some steep hills. The guy at the front desk (Kenny) was very friendly and helpful! Our room was clean and smelled great. The breakfast was typical of a free hotel breakfast. The hotel could use a little updating as there was some peeling paint and the doors seemed to stick a little. The weed smell that others have mentioned in reviews was a little noticeable around the stairs as we came in around midnight from the Braves game but honestly no big deal as it was localized. My only real complaint is that our room had only sheer curtains and the outside lights were very bright all night long. Overall, it served our needs as an affordable, clean and safe place to shower and sleep after a ballgame.

2022-06-08Great place to stay for the money. It is kind of tucked back off the main road and was quiet and safe. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room comes with breakfast and it was a good meal. Would use this motel again if I am in the area again

2022-04-13My room was filthy! The carpet, mattress covers, pillows, mattresses, toilet, sink, and doors need to be replaced. The bedding was dingy. There was no iron in the room. My son got a ringworm after getting in the pool. This hotel needs a complete remodeling. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was okay and the breakfast area was clean.

2022-02-27This hotel is okay for a night or two but you can really tell this is an older hotel in need of a little remodeling and deeper cleaner. Staff was awesome but adjust your expectations...budget price, budget accommodations. My top comforter was lightly stained and my colleagues one had a hole in hers. I also found a dried blood stain under the sheets.

2022-04-25This hotel is completely out of date! The entire place smelled like weed. The walls in our room were peeling. The blackout curtain was also peeling, making light from the parking lot shine through so it was hard to sleep. The bed was literally hard as a rock! The smoke detector was missing so wires were hanging from our ceiling. The furniture smelled of cigarette smoke. Overall, I would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone (even though the location was nice for Truist Park and the interstate).

2022-02-10Flight was cancelled. I had an issue getting the online system to credit my room. Followed-up with the hotel and they did a great job fixing the issue right away with a full credit. I will certainly stay the next time Im visiting my customer in Smyrna.

2022-05-21If youre looking to stay somewhere that smells like weed, has holes in the sheets, is out dated and charges your card multiple times without your authorization...then this is the place for you! We stayed here in 2019 and the hotel has gone down hill since our visit in 2022. I was disappointed that the staff didnt take my concerns about my card being charged seriously. After a month of calling multiple times a week, and calling the choice hotels complaint line, they finally gave me the refund I was due. The front end manager and GM were very, very rude. This place is not worth the money.

2022-06-08If I could give this place a zero star review I would. I the staff was pleasant that is the only nice thing I can say. Breakfast was non existent and I am pretty sure the staff had there friends come eat the breakfast. They were completely out the whole time we felt like we were begging from scrapes. The rooms are disgusting. The locks look like they have been broken into one too many times. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else!

2022-03-25Warning!!! They tried to scam me! I would never stay here again.I don’t usually leave reviews but felt like I needed to for this hotel. Me and my family with small children booked a night here to stay for one night as we were passing through to go to Florida. I called the hotel a week before and booked a room for us. When I arrived that night they told me that I booked two rooms (even though on my confirmation email and my confirmation number said I booked one room only!) I told them I never made that second reservation and have no info confirming that I booked a second room. I Showed the front desk lady who was very nice my confirmation email and she agreed that I didn’t make that reservation and would cancel but a refund had to be handled by the manager. The manager was not there and didn’t even come in after a couple phone calls to handle it. I had to call back after we had already left to get on the road to Florida. The manager told me that I made that reservation and would not refund me my money. He said he would lose revenue if I was refunded. I told him I never made that reservation and shouldn’t be charged for it and referred him to my confirmation email that said I had booked one room. The manager was extremely rude and very unhelpful and without saying I was a liar inferred I was lying about booking a room and said no to a refund. He told me why would his staff book a room if I didn’t reserve it and I would say I don’t know why but why would I reserve two rooms when I don’t need it? And also have no proof of the second reservation and neither did he. When I asked for the corporate number, he refused to help me at that point. So I called corporate for the hotel and after being on hold and being transferred back and forth that took a whole day of my vacation, the first customer service person I talked to said since the hotel goes through their own billing process, they said they couldn’t make the hotel give me a refund and said they could give me some points (not even enough to book another night somewhere else) I said that was Unacceptable and wanted my money back for a room I didn’t book and didn’t use. I kept asking for proof that I booked that second room and they sent me the bill the hotel billed me. I said that only proves that they charged me for a second room. I told them to resend the confirmation email and confirmation number like I got for the first room and they couldn’t because it didn’t exist.I eventually asked to speak to their manager and got transferred to a escalation specialist and within minutes they found out that the hotel had booked another room under my name the same day we had come in and not the week before when I booked my other room! He said it was unacceptable the hotel did that and promised to send me a refund for that one room and should receive it within one to four days and as of now which is the fourth day…I still haven’t received it and will have to call tomorrow yet again. it has been a very long and frustrating ordeal. I hope this helps someone along the way. I will never stay at this chain of hotels again nor any other of the hotels that are in the Choice Hotel chain. If you do still choose this hotel, I would definitely do the booking through a third party like Expedia and not do the booking through the hotel. That way if they try and scam you, Expedia will handle all of it and you get an easy refund!

2022-04-16Staff were unfriendly, rooms unclean, and breakfast was horrible and a half hour late getting out. Elevator was acting strange then we noticed the inspection expired in 2019. I would never stay here again on purpose and advise others to stay somewhere cheaper for the quality or go somewhere nicer.
