Staff was friendly. The parking lot was well lit. Not the best part of town but safe enough. Side entrance did not work. Stairwell had a moldy, musty smell. My room smelled like chocolate covered s@#$. Food was on the ceiling. Mattress was stained. The comforter and blanket had not been washed in ages. The fridge was obviously broken and every time I opened it I thought the door was going to fall off. The furniture was disgusting. I wouldnt let my dog on them. Overall the room was sticky and didnt have a clean feeling. Seems that housekeeping spent about 5 minutes cleaning mine. In all honesty you get what you pay for. While I appreciate the kind staff I will not be returning.
When we arrived we had to wait for an hour before being able to check into our room due to technical difficulties. When we were able to get into the room it smelled like smoke, the refrigerator was out of order, toilet seat was covered in pee, I had to dust and wipe down the desk & dresser. Thank God I brought Lysol disinfectant with me!! Housekeeping needs to do a better job!!!! Front desk staff was nice but we will unfortunately never stay here again.
Customer service was amazing. I reserved a room locally for my wife. They discounted the rate & upgraded room to a Suite when I told them why I wanted it. I wanted to give my wife a staycation to get away for a night away from our house full of kids (toddlers), she hasnβt been able to sleep thru night in a while bc of them. She loves the room & clenliness
The room wasnβt cleaned properly. The smoke alarm was disconnected and a plastic bag was over it. My husband took pictures to show 2 different staff members and nothing was done. We were not offered to change rooms. He finally spoke with the manager after we checked out and was offered 20.00 back. WOW! Also the room had a strong weed smell and the staff was told about that also.
Been there during weekdays for a month, working out of town. Very quiet area, close ti everytging.Dtaff is friendly and very helpful and accomodating. Nice gym and rooms are clean. Breakfast exists, but could uae some more variety. However, overall five stars for staff and cleanliness.
I checked in on Friday night July the 9th when I got there the elevator reeked of marijuana smell got past that went on to my room and the room was real musky smelling so I turned on the air to circulate the air and the longer I sat there the worst the smell guy my grandson asked for a bottle for some water and then my wife opened up the microwave and discovered a tray of food had been sitting there in the microwave for some time also dead bugs on the counters and around the sink went back downstairs and told the desk clerk that what I found and Told her that it also smelled of pot and she said oh somebody got arrested in that room last night for smoking pot. Then she assured me the room would be clean after we returned from our event that we were at got back at 11:30 that night and discovered the room had not been cleaned yet the 11:00 p.m. desk clerk came up clean the room as best she could then we went to bed got up the next morning Saturday July 10th was getting ready to leave packing our things went to close the hideaway bed that my daughter was sleeping in and discovered a hypodermic needle that fell out of the bed that my daughter was sleeping in under the air conditioner went downstairs to tell the manager and he asked well if it was that bad why did I stay I do not recommend this motel or hotel to anyone
Stayed here while in town for my buddys wedding, and it was very comfortable! The room I stayed in was well cleaned, and the bed was super comfortable. Plus, the attendant working the front desk was very kind and allowed me to push my checkout time back an hour to help accommodate the wedding schedule. It helped so much!Overall, a great place to stay for the weekend away!
I walked in talked to front desk girl which was very sweet. Hotel looks new on outside. Inside is a different story. I ask to see the room before booking it. This place truly needs inside cleaning, painting, updating. The smell in room would kick ya back.. Take good advise dont stay at this Hotel or one beside it Country Inn & Suites. Its The same thing there. Drive further as we did and paid less for cleanliness Hotel we have stayed in 2yrs. We traveling with work so we look and stay in many. LaQuntia was amazing and lile I said cheaper. So happy we didnt per book room. No way could I have stayed. Check good before choosing best advise I can give and whats around you. Some are not a place you would want a child with you. Rough at night.
Very quiet hotel. My room was clean but could use some updating. The front desk attendant was a very nice man. The breakfast area only had muffins which was a little disappointing but understandable with covid. It would have been a little more appealing if they were individually wrapped muffins or maybe milk or yogurt being offered. Overall it is a clean and quiet hotel.
The front desk staff was welcoming and the public areas of the hotel, inside and out, were very clean and well maintained. We were very happy with the appearance and comfort of our room, which was well decorated, had comfortable beds and pillows, and plenty of nice towels in the well-lit bathroom. Breakfast was adequate and pleasant, and kept well-supplied by the hotel staff. The outside of the hotel is fairly plain, but the interior is a very pleasant surprise; well decorated, upscale in appearance, and from our experience there, very well run.
This hotel was as nice as the other reviews suggested. The room was very clean, important in the era of Covid 19. Like many hotels since the pandemic, the breakfast has been scaled back to prepackaged food only to limit the spread of germs, so plan on using the free breakfast as more of a snack. Every staff member we spoke with was incredibly kind and helpful. We would definitely come back.
Clean, comfortable suite. The air is clean without the common mildewy odor often found in the South at this price point. I felt at home for the duration of my stay. The front desk is manned by a true gentleman. Housekeeping staff are thorough in their care.I highly recommend this location in Griffin, GA.
DO NOT STAY HERE! I had no choice as I was running late to a wedding and didnt have time to look for another place. The entire hotel was also booked. The smell in the room was horrid! It wreaked of pot! I complained to the front desk who apologized and assured me that someone one come in and air out the room while I went to the wedding. That obviously did not happen because it smelled just as bad when I returned. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for accomodations!
The ladies at the desk were rude and unprofessional. No sense of urgency and didnβt even check my ID when checking into the room. The parking lot has very little lighting so beware if coming in at night. The hotel is outdated and needs serious renovations. Not up to choice hotel standards.
Overall A-; Room gets and A despite cable TV service being mostly infocomercials. Bed was very comfortable and room was large with comfortable chairs. Shower was great (A+). TOILET NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WITH AND ADA 17 TOILET. Breakfast food was better than most and very good (A). Personnel responsible for dining area were and A+. Front desk personnel not very friendly (B-). Will probably stay here again when in area.
Went above and beyond my expectations during my stay. Quick and easy check-in and check-out, and the room was well-kept (especially the extraordinarily comfortable bed)! The only critique applicable to my stay was the inability to completely cover the window. The curtains do not extend all the way across the window, so keep that in mind when you need privacy (i.e. for changing clothes). Only blemish on what was otherwise a much more enjoyable stay than I expected.
Iβve never stayed at a hotel where everything was perfect! The staff/owner are super nice ! The rooms are very clean ! Housekeeping does a GREAT job! They have complimentary breakfast (optional) itβs not the best but itβs convenient! The beds are comfy! This place is highly recommended !
The front desk person when we checked in was exceptional. I think her name was Miranda. She was incredibly warm and welcoming and seemed to always be thinking what she could do to anticipate our needs. Great job! Overall, the hotel was great. The beds were comfortable. The flat screen TV was good. The room was clean. The only issue I had was that the nozzle on the shower was pointing up in a way that when you turned the shower on, it sprayed out onto the floor and there was no shower curtain liner, so the curtain that fell on the outside of the tub did not keep the water in the tub.
I have stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks for work. Each week the service has been more than amazing. The rooms are very nice, clean, home feeling. I would like to also say that Wade at the front desk is the man! I am going to ask that I stay here next time when I come back to town.
We first reserved the econo lodge right down the road.. realized it was a smoking hotel and run down.. did not match the pics. And upon inspection of bed before we settled in saw evidence of bed bugs so we did an about face and left immediately. We went to comfort in and was treated and the lady at the front was very helpful. Room was clean.. beds comfortable which is one of my main requirements. Lots of pillows. Did however wish the gym was put together so we could have used it. But it was worth the stay.
We were in Griffin to see family and we stayed 2 nights. We were able to get a room on the first floor as we had asked and it was very nice. We had plenty of room and our room as well as the rest of the facility was very clean. Check in was friendly and quick. The staff was nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good.My phone would not allow me to connect to the WiFi so I cannot accurately rate the WiFi.
In town for a wedding. The hotel was very clean and staff were very nice. The temperature in the rooms was easy to control and worked well. A very quiet nights sleep. The breakfast area was a little small but very well attended. The only downside was the bed itself and the pillows. Not the most comfortable, but adequate. I would stay here again.
We had a lovely stay. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable with very convenient appliances. And the breakfast service had a good variety even before I found the waffle iron and had the fluffiest waffles ever! Definitely would recommend to a friend.
My husband and I absolutely love this hotel. We travel extensively for business and try to stay the weekend in Georgetown each year at this property. The location is fantastic. Easy access to highway and quick drive into town. There is a Chilis and Applebees steps from the hotel, you dont even have to cross the street! The hotel itself is clean, updated and runs like a well oiled machine. The staff is friendly and manager goes above and beyond. Breakfast is the usual hotel fare, but ample and hot :)They have a pantry for snacks, soups and toiletries if needed. A really nice workout room that I enjoyed. Beautiful pool, and outdoor gazebo area with built in weber grill and granite countertops. This hotel backs up to a high end gated housing community, so its very quiet despite the highway. Overall, you just cant beat it. Safe location, clean, quiet, friendly.Cant wait for next year.
The room was clean and well-maintained and the lobby was nice without being excessive in decor. The road in front of the hotel is very busy so if you are on the front side you will hear it at night, plus it is a challenge to get out of the drive into traffic. I would stay again.
This is your average hotel. The staff is very pleasant and I felt safe. I did find the mattress to be very lumpy on one side and hard. Other reviewers commented the mattresses were very comfortable, but I did not find that to be the case. It is a fairly quiet hotel. I was on the road side and you do hear the cars on the highway. It is a convenient location and I thought once I saw the area it was one of the nicer hotels in the area. I didnt eat the breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot comment on that. There are several places very close by to get breakfast. The decor does not look dated and it is clean.
The hotel is clean with comfortable beds but they could work on providing better customer service. I experienced really loud guests above my room and the hotel didnt do anything to make my family have a good hotel experience. We had to deal with jumping and running all night until the morning time. We left the hotel exhausted. The hotel is a good price for the buck, clean beds and bathrooms, dont stay on first floor. I would just recommend this hotel to work on a better customer service experience.
We enjoyed ourselves here at this hotel. It was near the location we needed to be at for the weekend. The staff was very helpful and nice. I was so amazed at the huge smiles on the front desk clerk everytime I entered the building. it really made us feel welcome and comfortable. the beds were nice, our room was clean daily and we will return to this Hotel
My two kids and I stayed here while visiting an old friend who lives in Griffin. We had stayed at my friends house for the entire day and really only used the room to sleep in. We checked in around 9:30 pm and checked out at 5:45 am. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. My kids said the pillows were the softest that they had ever slept on. I was very pleased.I was not given information about Wifi. I didnt think it was available in the room, but I didnt ask since we came in so late, and my kids were going to bed anyway.
I needed a clean place to stay in the area with a tight budget. The Comfort Inn was good value for money. The rooms looked fairly new and modern. Everything was clean. The continental breakfast was nice. The hotel didnt have anything really special or luxurious, but thats okay for the price. I would stay again if I needed to be in the area again.
This was not my first choice of hotels, I must admit. However, I cant imagine staying anywhere else, next time I am in Griffin. The staff was very accommodating. I had existential circumstances, which prolonged my stay in town. Someone had booked the room, where me, my wife, and 17 month old were staying, for the following night. Some miraculous way, Brie(the lady at the front) was able to keep my family from relocating in the hotel and still accommodate the guest originally booked for our room. Did I mention the hotel was booked solid on our types of rooms? The latter reason is why I said miraculously. So, needless to say the staff, from management to housekeeping, went above and beyond their means to be super friendly and more hospitable than places like the Hilton, which we have had to stay numerous times. I was wary about staying at a place like Comfort Inn, but after my experience here, I cant see my family staying elsewhere, when we visit Griffin, GA. We pray Brie never leaves the management team ever! Thank you Brie and the staff at Comfort Inn and Suites in Griffin, GA for making our experience wonderful. God bless yall with many wonderful years of business to come!
Comfort Inn and Suites - the only place I will ever stay in Griffin, GA. This hotel was so nice and the staff made it extra special. A shout out to Miranda and Brandy (the manager). They went over and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and were so helpful during the reservation process. We reserved a large # of rooms for my sons wedding and we were very pleased with the hotel and the staff. It takes a team to make it work and by all means this hotel has an awesome team in place. Keep up the good work and this hotel is very lucky to have the caliber of people they have hired to represent them.Good job to all and again, thanks for a job well done!Lizz Hurkmans
I give the Comfort INN a 5 stars! The staff was very professional and helpful. The food was full course and very tasty! The hotel presentation was clean and very nicely organized. The only improvement that I would suggest is to improve the closet storage. There is not enough room to hang clothes in the closet. In contrast, everything else was absolutely great! I would diffidently visit again!
Last minute booking. I needed some sleep before I continued my drive home. I stopped here in the middle of the night and was lucky to get a room. The room was better than I expected, there are a few things in the room that need to be replaced. Overall comfortable stay and bed! Just what I needed before I got back on the road!
The accommodations were everything I wanted although my needs were limited. We just look for a comfortable bed in a clean room, clean bathroom, with friendly staff, and we got that. we didnt need any amenities like pool, exercise room, wifi or room service. We checked in after dinner and left right after a small breakfast. The breakfast was what I expected. More than the rolls and coffee that some hotels call a meal but not to lavish. The eggs and sausage were good as was the coffee and juice.I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable place to sleep when more amenities are not required. We spent the night and then went right to the motor speedway for the day.
I cannot describe how amazed I was on the quality of my overnight stay at Comfort inn. 3 others and I attended a air rifle tournament the past 2 days and spent one night at the hotel. Upon arrival, the smell took over. The room smelled absolutely amazing. The beds are so comfortable as well. Yeah bed provided 6+ pillows, which I found amazing. I love sleeping with lots of pillows. Another thing that really got me was the fact that this hotel has a nice Samsung TV in each room with direct TV! With Showtime at that!!! I was mind blown. Then the morning we left, the breakfast we all ate seemed like a $50 breakfast because it was so amazing. Quick, easy. The comfort inn is definitely my go to hotel from now on, and will recommend it to all of my friends. Thanks! 5+ stars.
Found the Inn easily. The outside appeared recently upgraded and easy on the eye. Staff was helpful and very friendly. The room was quiet, odor-free and very comfortable. Bedding was new (smelled like it anyway) and arranged attractively. Breakfast was fresh scrambled eggs, not the pre-packaged omelets at some other hotels. Every food item appeared fresh.Hotel is sited on a major highway, but no traffic noise was noticeable. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
Booked a specific room, placed in another with a broken bed. Moved to correct room and it had a foul smell and the bathroom outlets didnt work. If someone is above you or beside you, you can hear every move they make. Gym equipment didnt work properly. Even though I didnt sleep well the bed was a nice size and comfy. Breakfast was good. Would not return.
I give it less than a star. My husband stayed there for a business trip last week and, not only he saw about 4 bed bugs walking all over the bedroom he stayed in, but he also brought home a cockroach by accident from that place inside his suitcase. Its so disgusting.
We enjoyed staying at Comfort Inn &Suites. The rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the continental breakfast. A wide variety of food to choose from since I had two children with me. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Griffin.
The staff was very friendly. Greeted us every time we walked through the door. I found a condom wrapper under our bed when we were leaving but I didnt see any other cleanliness issues and I didnt notice it till we were leaving so I didnt raise Cain about it. The breakfast was good both mornings.
The stay was excellent and very relaxing! The staff was very nice and kind from the front desk to the maid service! Management was awesome, they went above and beyond helping my wife and I out with everything we needed for our stay! We would definelty look to stay here again!
Had to evacuate for Hurricane Irma. After we searched for 2 hours to find a clean decent place to stay we were so happy to get a room here that was spotless and smelled and looked amazing. Very good customer service and a hot breakfast where you can make your own waffles and they have scrambled eggs sausage juices pastrys yogurts cereal and more. We also were able to get late check out for noon. A+ highly recommended!
I booked in advance 2 weeks. Arrived after my 5 hour drive to be told they didnβt have any rooms available for me and my family. I received a confirmation the day before and showed the lady my confirmation. She responded with βIβm sorry this has been happening a lot lately.β βIβm so very sorry maβam.β My family and I had to be on the search for a hotel at 2 am in a heavily booked areaβ we ended up having to stay in an adjacent area. I will NEVER give my money to choice hotels, or comfort suites. Make sure you confirm your booking with the hotel while traveling!
I had a great time at this hotel, even if it was just for a few hours. I wished I had enough time to spend the whole day but had to work so I checked out after a few hours. My stay was very accommodating and even had the manager come to the front desk to help me and the front clerk to check in faster. Very nice staff and even better room. Great place to stay
A real gem in Griffin. We stayed there after having no power when the hurricane came thru. We got the king suite and it was really nice. Bed was super deluxe comfortable, pillows are very nice and plush, I slept like a big fat snoring baby!! The staff was very nice and friendly. I would stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Itβs probably the nicest hotel in Griffin.
We arrived late (10:30pm) for a one night stay. The hotel clerk was very helpful answering all our questions and pointing out specifics about the hotel. Even though the AC was off when we arrived at our room, it didnt take it long at all to cool down. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was good, the usual hotel breakfast. Items were hot, even though we arrived for breakfast about 15 minutes to breakfast closing.
The desk clerks at arrival and departure were above average in their greetings. The room appeared clean with one exception: There were two brown spots on the vinyl office-style chair in the bedroom. I hoped those were stains, but they were fairly easily removed with a wet tissue, so the cleaning staff had been somewhat inattentive. The room also had a very strong smell of air freshener. It made me wonder what odor might be covered up.Breakfast was adequate, although the variety was not as large as that offered by similar hotels. I asked to have the television in the breakfast area changed to a non-news channel--to The Middle which was running a Valentine marathon. The server agreed and gave me the remote, but another server told her that we could not change from the news. I was the only diner who was dining alone, I was the closest to the television, and everyone else appeared engaged in conversation. I am fairly certain that no one objected to the change. If a guest cannot request a change, I would recommend something other than news of beheadings, murders, and car crashes for breakfast viewing--perhaps the cooking channel, HGTV, or one of the shopping channels.
The group that runs this hotel has been accommodating a relatively large (18 room) package for my company annually for an event that we host in Griffin. This team is second to none. They always work with us, give us the best service and are more than friendly. They assist everyone with their check-in process, and as the person in charge of the reservations, have made any requests that I have, from name changes to last minute room additions possible in the blink of an eye and without so much as a sigh. They are simply the best.
From the moment we were met at check in by Brenda with her cheerfulness, smile and welcome started a great experience with this hotel . All the staff was extremely professional and courteous but Brenda made our stay so worth while. She always had a cheerful smile for my 6 year old granddaughter that couldnt wait to see Brenda when we were coming back to the hotel. The entire staff was like family to us from breakfast to the days we came in wore out and tired. Miranda was also a great help in making sure we had the best week living in a hotel while visiting relatives. If this hotel is not one of the best Comfort Inn and Suites across the US, they have raised that bar pretty high. I have spent many nights in hotels and this is one of the best hotels Ive stayed in. It was excellent from beginning to end......Know that employees like Brenda George will keep customers coming back for years to come...I know we will...
We can always count on a good nights sleep, hearty breakfast and a clean room. We were not disappointed with the Griffin, GA Comfort Suites. Quiet part of town. We felt secure with the parking and in our room. The only thing I noticed was the hallway carpet was not vacuumed well.
We were in town for a soccer tournament and, after much research, decided on the Comfort Inn. I got a discounted rate by using my AAA card. We stayed in an efficiency room, which had a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, kitchen sink, microwave, king bed, desk, sofa and coffee table. It was very spacious and the bed was uber-comfy! The location is only FIVE minutes from the soccer field and the hotel is convenient to lots of shopping, fast-food and restaurants. The hospitality at the hotel is top-notch. The breakfast has a pretty good variety - fresh waffles, fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, a variety of pastries, etc. We will stay here again, without hesitation, if we return to Griffin.
This hotel has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in besides my own. I have stayed here many times. The only time I did not was when it was booked for the time I needed the room. I felt safe and secure because the rooms were on the inside of the building. Food at the breakfast bar was great.
I appreciate the comfort here. Ive actually never noticed children during any of my visits. Its always quiet and peaceful. I would definitely suggest an improvement to the breakfast items. Im not sure if theyre looking at making changes there but otherwise, this is the perfect getaway.
Wonderful hotel to stay at when you are traveling in this direction. Clean rooms and very comfortable bed. Staff was very nice at check in and check out. Great breakfast to start your day off. Excellent price for budget minded people. The most important was I felt very safe at this location and that meant a lot because it was just me and my daughter. I highly recommend the Comfort Inn & Suites in Griffin, Ga.
I donβt think our room had seen housekeeping in a few months. Thick layers of dust on shelves in bathroom, tv and furniture. Someone had tried to βupdateβ the room by throwing some gloppy paint at some parts of the walls and tried to cover up the old age and damage in the room. So very disgusting. We were in town for our grandsons wedding and this was recommended by the venue as one of the only βgoodβ hotels to stay in. I would hate to see the bad hotels.
This hotel was perfect for our needs which was to visit TWD film sites and hopefully see some stars. They were filming in Griffin so that was a bonus. The hotel was clean, bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was a great value for the price. I would recommend this hotel.
I had zero problems with this hotel. I will definitely stay again and recommend it to others. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel was extremely quiet and the representatives were so nice to us. I enjoyed and hated the fact that I was only there for one day!! Other than that it was/is a really nice hotel to stay in.
THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!!!!!!!! WARNING!!!!!! DONT STAY HERE!!!!!!My family and I had been looking forward to this trip for a while and were very excited! We get there and the man at the front desk started off rude but still decided to go ahead and stay. The next day we go to the breakfast and the woman just kept coming to where we were at looking at what we were getting served. EXCUSE ME!!!!! but this is something we pay for and it is NOT YOURS to act the way she did!!! The staff are not friendly the smell is horrible and the stay is not at all what we expected. On top of it all there is a the tiny gym with three machines DONT WORK AT ALL!!! They are way OLD!!!!!!! THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!!!!!!!!! I dont understand why people say on here all these good things, by all these good reviews for this place we made the mistake to stay here!!! I have never had the experience the way we had here!!!!! ONE LAST THING I WENT BACK TO GET SOME WATER IN THE BREALFAST AREA AND THE LADY WORKING THERE WAS BUSY RUNNING HER MOUTH AT THE FRONT DESK BUT WHEN SHE SAW ME SHE WAS TILTING HER HEAD JUST CHECKING ME WHAT I HAD IN MY HAND!!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!
This hotel was nothing fancy but not totally shabby either. It does the job if youre looking for a place to stay the night in Griffin and dont want to pay an arm and a leg. I appreciated the hot breakfast with many options. The microwave and fridge in the room was helpful as well. Im not a coffee drinker, so I appreciated the teas in addition to coffee in the in room personal coffee machine. I loved the choice of soft versus firm pillows. The room didnt seem to be completely updated and maybe not completely clean. I was so tired, it wasnt that big a deal to me at the time.
This hotel was disgusting. We had urine all over the bathroom floor and there was hair all over the sink. The desk associate couldnt get us checked into our hotel for over 30 min because she could not figure out how to work the card machine. The cleaning crew started knocking on our door at 10 oclock (our checkout was at 12)which was ironic because they clearly didnt clean. I would never stay at this hotel again.
This hotel is a great quite safe place to rest while traveling. have used it twice and have had a top rated experience each time. Very clean and the beds sleep great. will defiantly use them again. I highly recommend this hotel. you will too if you ever stay there.
Everything was great love and will be back soon. The staff was on point ,If I needed anything they was there, Your lobby was inviting to walk into. When you walk in there was a welcome and on leaving just to go to Walmart on your return, The staff said did you enjoy your outing if you need anything please call the desk. it was like it was the first time when you walk into the hotel, always a greeting.
We have stayed here 3 to 6 times per year since this hotel was built. We visit my elderly father in law several times per year and we occaisionallly bring our Brittany dog when we cant get boarding for her. BUT NOW THE POLICY STATES NO DOGS ALLOWED. We wont be back unless that policy changes back regardless of whether she is with us or not. So much for the slogan on choice website abt pets being family! We no longer recommend this hotel!Favorite Travel Agent
Trying to remodel but reminds me of the phrase lipstick on a pig. The bed was comfortable but the desk chair and clock were broken. The fitness center that was highlighted on the web is filled with paint cans and remodeling supplies so it is unavailable. This hotel gets the award for worst breakfast of the year. Coffee was terrible, 100 percent of bananas were green, eggs were so dry and mealy you couldnt eat them with a fork. Plus, no cheese, salsa, bacon or anything else to give the eggs any flavor. This Comfort In is sourrounded by other hotels. I gave them a shot due to their remodel and will never stay here again
Travel to Griffin monthly for business and have stayed at a number of hotels. Decided to try Comfort Inn and I am glad I did. Suites are spacious with sitting area and efficiency kitchen. So much more like home and when you travel most of the time that really counts! Very clean and the staff is great. Oh, and the bed is VERY comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. I will not be staying anywhere else when I am in Griffin.
We were in Griffin for a family reunion. This hotel was very accommodating toward our group as the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to have breakfast together. We were able to use the breakfast area outside of breakfast hours to share memories, pictures, and each others company.
Stayed because of work with several other coworkers. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast has just the basics, nothing special. My room was clean but the comforter had a green stain on and some of the coworkers claimed their rooms smelled of mold. The front staff even gave them room spray. Ants were all over the second floor ice machine and I found some in the room as well. Had to unplug the refrigerator to sleep because it made a very loud ticking noise. The pictures they show must be of one room or they just havenβt updated all of them yet because none of our rooms look like that.
While not what I would call luxury accomodations, this hotel has everything needed for a pleasant stay. It is very clean, the bedding was comfortable, a choice of pillows, free wi fi, a small refrigerator, and microwave. It is a very good choice for the value received. I would stay here again.
In general the hotel was a reasonable place to stay friendly check in staff, clean, typical breakfast for a Choice Hotel. The issue was a group of guests, multiple rooms, chose to party late into the night and early morning. This brought out the weakness of the Hotel minimal/no sound proofing between rooms. Additionally there was no apparent attempt by the staff to quiet them down.
WOW!!!! Great hotel!!! Clean, huge CLEAN bathroom... great beds... decent breakfast... friendly staff... Very good wifi.. beds were as comfortable as my own.... the shower is very good size....great water pressure.. everything as far as I was concerned was perfect... no issues at all. Also, Bre and Susan at the front desk aare incredible!!!!

This hotel is truly an average 2.5 star hotel. Ive stayed at this hotel for a few weeks in the fall of 2015. The shower heads I would give 1.5 stars because they not comfortable and the pressure is too high. The thermostat is difficult to figure out and Im a mechanically minded individual. The outlet on the lamp was blown, thereby leaving me with a dead laptop one day. The alarm clock didnt work in my room. The breakfast has barely the essentials and doesnt include even oatmeal. The bathroom door hinge was missing a screw. I left a note for the people at the desk with some suggestions for the room one week. I returned the next week and handed the receptionist a similar note when I left and she told me, Were ranked first in the area, and we didnt like your comments last time.I didnt see anything disgusting or un-orderly but I sure would look for another mid-range hotel to give my money to.Edit Feb 2016--staying here again for business. Their guest computer is so old it doesnt run google maps. The thermostat in this room does not cycle on and off. They added a few packets of oatmeal to the breakfast counter :)
We evacuated our home in Cape Coral, FL prior to hurricane Irmas landfall. We were so lucky to find this King suite for three days during the hurricane. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Having a clean and reasonably price room during this stressful time was comforting.
Although the rooms are supposed to be non-smoking, the hotels informational booklet in the room says that 85% are smoke free. The room number signs in the hallway still has the non-smoking sign on some of the rooms. Some of the rooms still smell of smoke. The staff is very helpful and I was able to switch rooms easily.
This is a place where you get what you pay for. Is the furniture in the room a little scuffed and ready to be replaced, yes, but its fine and it works. There is a microwave and fridge, which is really nice. I use the internet connection in the room, which is great. I enjoy the hot breakfast as well.
I stayed 10 days on business with my wife and 2 dogs. The staff is very friendly, and made sure we got the room we wanted (2nd floor, near the stairs, facing away from the highway) at check-in.This property is pet-friendly, but theres a $10 per pet per night fee (with no cap!). Im not sure an extra $20 per night was worth it. At 10 nights, I spent $200 on pet fees (!!!), and I hardly think the hotel uses that revenue to get the room super clean; they certainly dont invest in a better pet walk or put out Pet Waste Bags. There is not much room to walk your dog on the property, so you have to walk through the adjoining neighborhood. However, this seemed to be the best place in Griffin to stay.We stayed in their largest King room, the one with the full size microwave, fridge, and sink. There is lots of cabinet space, however--aside from a coffee maker--there are NO other kitchen utensils. No plates, no cups, no silverware, nothing. The staff was nice enough to let us take some styrofoam plates and plastic-ware to our room, but some real dishes wouldve been nice, especially for how long we stayed and since we like to eat in instead of restaurants all the time. The fitness room is fairly sad. The equipment seems to be the cheapest flimsiest stuff they could find, and there was only one power supply for the Bike and Elliptical machine. The mounted TV has a poor viewing angle, so the screen is nearly impossible to see.Good solid wi-fi and internet speeds in the hotel. Easy access to the highway. Our room was clean and had updated decor and furniture for the most part (the desk chair would not stay in the raised position). Good TV channel selection. The breakfast was decent, nothing to write home about, and not alot of vegetarian options.Local liquor laws prevent the sale of liquor on Sundays, in stores and at restaurants, so plan ahead.Slices Pizzeria is pretty good but no delivery. Saki Japanese up the road in Hampton has surprisingly good sushi and good staff. If all Comfort Inns were this updated, Id probably stay at them more often (we travel 8 months a year), but only if they gave actual silverware/plates and reduced the pet fee to either $10/night or capped it.This place is perfect for a short stay, and is very adequate if youre unfortunate enough to be stuck in Griffin for an extended period of time.
For the Griffin, Ga area, this hotel was a gem! Welcoming staff, clean indoor/outdoor appearance, the rooms physical appearance actually matched the online photos, fresh linen, comfortable bed-- Good choice overall. I didnt take advantage of breakfast but it looked delish. Close to a variety of restaurants, shopping venues and about 45 mins from the Atlanta area.
Its very comfortable and convient for me and my family. Most of the time the employees are very friendly. Comfort Inn and Suites in Griffin, GA, employee Tameka was very nice and sociable. She made our night very comfortable and enjoyable!!!Thank You, Tameka!Love Hugs and Kisses!!!
This hotel has friendly staff members. Breakfast is standard hotel breakfast - juices, tea, coffee, make a waffle, muffin, bagel, toast, biscuit, eggs, sausage, cereals. Beds were hotel beds - just doesnt compare to my Tempur-Pedic at home so a little bit of a sore neck next day. Conveniently located just up the road from food and stores. We only got shampoo and lotion - no conditioner.
The power was out in the hotel which affected my AC. Room was 85 degrees upon check in and remained that temp for over two hours. When I addressed the front desk they could not provide an adequate timeframe nor did they offer to send a maintenance working to check the compress or the unit in my room. They were very nonchalant about the extreme heat.
As stated in previous statements. The hotel room as minimal with maintenance needed in the bathroom. Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The reservations made thru Choice Hotel were confusing and the persons I spoke to evidently need more training. See previous notes on room cancellation. I talked to a Sandy and Sherry with requests to change nights and confirm reservations.
Forced to evacuate our home in Savannah due to hurricane Matthew, we found the experience quite tolerable under the circumstances. Hotel manager was most accommodating in trying to solve our problems and make us comfortable. I probably wont go back to Griffin again in the near future (nothing against Griffin, its just too far away to plan a visit there) but would stay at this motel definitely.
Nasty nasty nasty! Best part about this location was the lady that checked us in the night we arrived! Even though there was problems checking in she was very sweet and courteous! Reason I gave 3 on staff was because cleaning ladies was rude. Everything else went down hill! Room had order! Bathroom had mold! The deluxe breakfast was an absolute joke and the worst that Ive ever had in any eastablishment!!
I made a reservation about 50 days in advance for an event of two nights I was to stay. However when i arrived i was upset to find out someone had canceled my reservation and that there was no availability for me and my family. I was offered no other accommodations and ended up staying with others of my party. The owner offered no apologize.
The hotel meets the requirements of a business traveler for the Griffin area. It is convenient to Atlanta with many chain eating establishments near by. Have stayed here many times with no problems at any level. Staff has been pleasant each time I have visited. I have told others of this facility and suggested their use of it when in the Griffin area.

2022-02-27Only complaint was the sound travel from neighboring rooms with normal activity. Nothing excessively loud could be heard as if the door was open. The rest of my stay was great. Great house keeping.

2022-01-11It was clean and safe. The bathroom toilet should be replaced. It was quiet. There should be more lighting in the hallway. I will stay again with family. I will recommend to family and friends. I have also referred my employer.

2022-01-18I was very pleased with the hotel accommodations. But by far the best thing about this stay was the extremely nice and helpful girls at the front desk. Will definitely book here again in the future.

2022-04-08Positive: It was a horrible experience. IΓΒΏm home from serving for my country and I needed a place to sleep and I decided to stay here and I made a bad choice. I want my money back for this horrible experience I had. Negative: Yes the fact of it reeking of marijuana and it also had bugs

2021-12-22The suite was nice with a comfortable bed. The only flaws was hair on the shower wall which makes me wonder how often they clean them, very pricey for a 3 star motel, for the amount you pay they dont offer late check out and try to run you out before check out time.

2021-10-03We travel for work and stay at many comfort inns and hotels all over the US. The rooms were decent although I feel the price was a little high for this hotel. At night coming in from work there were a bunch of big roaches by the front door coming into the hotel. Since they were outside and the hotel looked clean inside and so far no sign of bugs we didnβt think it was a big deal until one night getting ready for bed there was one in our room then again the last night we stayed the same thing another big roach. We told front desk and management and all the could offer were points for a free night stay.
