I do not feel that the problems we had were the fault of the person checking us in. I feel like it all happened before he clocked in or was the responsibility of another employee. When we came back downstairs to get our third room, he went back up with us to make sure everything was ok and then he left to see what was going on with the other two rooms. He was very professional. This is a nonsmoking property and people should be fined for smoking in the rooms. The person staying in this room has breathing issues and she should have never walked into a room that had been smoked in.
There is not a coffee maker in the room nor does the hotel offer full hot breakfast. The cereal was stale and the waffle maker was not available. You do not get basic housekeeping services unless you stay 5 days. The hotel is conveniently located and clean. However, if you are a light sleeper, you may want to request a room on the back side of the hotel. The noise from traffic was very noticeable. I was very disappointed in this Comfort Suites.
Knowing the location was under construction in the way it was I would’ve stayed elsewhere had I known before booking a non refundable reservation. In fact I never would have walked through the door if I wasn’t “locked into the reservation”. I digress ending on a positive note the staff was very friendly and wanted to accommodate but there wasn’t anything they could do at that point.
For what they charge its not worth the price. We had to move 2x due to room issues such as sheets were dirty, rooms not clean to mold on the walls and floor. Next day we called down to the front desk and we were told we were not suppose to be booked into any of the 3 rooms since they were to be blocked off. We then told them of the issue of the other 2 rooms that were booked with the family too and then they didnt have much to say. Before heading out we got some package Danishes for the kids and they had mold on themStaff was nice and tried to help as much as they can but told us they were not allowed to refund or give a discount and to told to contact the Manger later in the day.
The room was very outdated, there was mold in the shower. Stains on the bed and walls. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was very minimal and what there was there was not much of. The juice machine was broken. We told the morning manager and he looked at it then walk off. All my kids had to drink was coffee or water. I’ve stayed in many Comfort Inn and Suites and they are usually very nice. This one wasn’t.
Hotel was nice, parking is a little tight but not a big issue. The room was fantastic. There were a few stains on the floor and a hole in the wall from one of the door handles. My husband let the front desk know and they offered to change our room. We didnt really care, just didnt want to be charged. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience for the small time we were there.
We came to the area for a weekend getaway. The room was very accommodating for my self, husband and our 3 children. The staff was great upon check in and check out. When we needed extra bedding for the pullout couch they did great with getting it to us.Overall would recommend to others. Great price and nice hotel!
I was really appreciative that we were able to stay since their sister hotel canceled our reservation to give our room to someone else without notice. The staff was nice, the room was filthy. There was hair all over. There was urine on the floor in the bathroom and all around just not clean. Normally I would just leave and go somewhere else but it was 4am and we had to leave at 730, my family had to sleep.
I have to say I have no complaints at all. The staff was friendly and helpful. The shower temperature was perfect, the floors were clean and dry, the sheets were clean and the pillows were soft as clouds. We felt very welcome and slept very well. The temperature when we were there was warm, so we turned on the air and it worked nicely. We would gladly stay here again.
The Lobby area was dinning area was very nice..the rooms were kinda old and outdated especially the sleeping sofa it looked very used and worn out didn’t let my kids sleep on it. The sheets and blankets didn’t seem fresh looked as if housekeeping just made the bed up..the floors by the bed had paint chips from the wall all around the headboard and floor area. The bathroom seemed clean and updated for the most part, housekeeping even offered fresh towels the next morning and we didn’t have to ask which was nice. The hot breakfast was a bonus and really good and the staff was very nice and friendly. Overall it wasn’t a horrible stay and if I ever visited this city again I’d stay again
The rooms had bugs on the wall. The covers had nasty stains on them, the sheet had a big red stain on it. Had to change rooms four different times and all rooms were nasty. I still had to pay full price for my stay even after all of the changing rooms and room conditions, will not be booking anymore or recommend anyone to stay here. Service was good but room conditions were nasty, the employee even said “ I know the rooms have stains and bugs, I am sorry about this.”
The staff seems very polite and attentive. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is rather old and the housekeeping is less than acceptable. I actually had a second night reserved for this hotel but upon getting settled into the hotel, I cancelled my second night and moved to a hotel that was the same nightly rate and a LOT more satisfactory. I couldnt get over the fact that there was toothpaste residue left on the bathroom counter and wet, dirty hand towels left hanging on the shower curtain rod. I spent the night trying to avoid touching anything more than necessary.
Not very friendly customer service. Key didnt work upon check-in. Front desk seemed bothered when I came back to bring to their attention.Next morning staff was not accommodating when I asked about breakfast area. When I ask for a late check-out was given 1130 and told we got to get these rooms cleaned Not much comfort at this Comfort Inn.
Do not change the sheets if the bed wasent messed up jist remake it and keep it pushing,or vacuum the floor y use a lint roller to get crumbs up! So be careful letting your kids run around bare foot they also water down the cleaning supplies nor do wash the shower curtain. do not disinfect all tdo is spray smell good and wipe it down.
It was clean/ lighted / easy to find. Just drove up / checked in/ then went to get my bags there was a single man in the parking lot yelling into the cell phone. I have never experienced that before. This was about 8 pm in the evening . I could have told the clerk but decided to just go to the room.
My wife and I would recommend this hotel to those visiting Columbus, GA and/or Ft. Benning. This was our second visit and were happy to go back for seconds. The room was very comfortable and clean. Like a lot of hotels, there is a need to have a full-time handyman around. I did see some things that needed tended to but overall we had a great stay. The breakfast is fantastic. I would say the lady who was tending to it is the reason why it is good.
My family of 6 enjoyed their one night stay here. It was just a short hop to resturaunts and attractions. We were greeted with warm cookies in the lobby. The staff was pleasant. The hotel was clean and had some nice updates. The suites have separate rooms, but this is a different layout than most Comfort Suites. We were at first told they did not offer cribs, but then they were able to offer us a PAC-n-play after 20 minutes or so. The black out blinds in our room were shredded so the morning light came right on in. The bathroom was updated recently. Reservation was easy to make. Breakfast was well stocked.
This hotel is located lack the overall quality that most all Comfort Suites locations have. The staff do there best with what they have, however it is very apparent that the staff lacks direction, and oversight by senior management. 1. The mattress they have on the beds is the same quality that we find at the quality brand hotels, or roadway. We felt almost all of the springs. 2. The wall in the suite had marks, that could have been removed with a towel and cleaner, but no they leave the marks on the walls, and the walls have holes. 3. The housekeeping will change the trash can liners but leave the garbage in the room. 4. Who ever did the last paint job on the walls put more paint on the doors then on the walls. 5. Breakfast was about the same quality that one would get at a quality or low-grade comfort inn.6. The staff was vacuuming the hallways at 7am on a Saturday morning. 7. It is very apparent the management does not provide oversight or they have a disconnect from overseeing the day to day operations at the hotel.I was in room 103, in addition the internet WIFI goes out about every 45 – 50 seconds and has a result you have to log in each time. Very difficult to get any type of work done. There are a large number of Choice hotels in the area, recommend any one but this one.
We stayed one night in the family suite with 2 double beds in a room with a door that closes and also had a king size bed in the main room. The room itself was nice. The beds were comfortable and clean, nice pillows and clean carpet and furnishings. I do recommend the family suite if you have more 3 or more kids. It can save money over renting 2 rooms. The hotel lobby and hallways were not as nice and showing some age. The foyer furnishings were dated and worn looking but not terrible. The breakfast was good. Overall a good value and would stay again but the common areas need updating.
It’s right by a highway so it’s pretty loud depending on what side of the hotel you’re on. Also they don’t have full curtains that can close to help block out the sound and lights. I was on the third floor and the experience wasn’t good. Front desk was also pretty rude.
Great stay. Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable rooms. The beds were average--not great but definitely not bad. Have had a little better breakfasts. They always had an extra warmer but always left their biscuits out cold instead of in the warmer. No eggs at all one morning--only sausage and tater tots. They did have waffle and pancake options and cereal and some fruit and limited yogurt. Really enjoyed the afternoon cookies and lemon water in the lobby. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. We will stay here again when we come back to Columbus next month.
This is not a luxury hotel but it was exactly whats I needed. The room is spacious and clean. Also, aesthetically appealing. Decorations were coordinated. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available in the lobby all day. The cable is good. The internet is good. Felt comfortable walking around barefoot in the room.
The staff was very friendly and the room was fine for a place to sleep. I know they are renovating, but it would’ve been nice to have had an ice machine on my floor. I also had to get my key reprogrammed after getting locked out of my room. (I did not let them touch anything that would have caused this). The breakfast was ok, but I’ve stayed at other Comfort Inns that had a much bigger variety.
This hotel is in a great location with lots of good restaurants nearby. The front desk ladies are wonderful. Rooms are large, comfortable beds, table and two chairs, sofa and coffee table. Plenty of plugs ins and usb ports for all your electronics. The fresh baked cookies in the afternoon are nice. Housekeeping really needs improvement and the breakfast area is very dirty and food is terrible. If they could improve housekeeping and the breakfast I would give them 4 stars. I stay there over 3 weeks a year and I am a Choice diamond member. This hotel with a little improvement could be one of my favorites.
The hotel is conveniently located, it was relatively clean and sufficiently maintained. The staff is mostly friendly but grossly inept; the different shifts operate independently from each other with seemingly no communication. I had reserved a double queen, at check in I was sent to a king room. After letting the front desk know of the mistake, I was sent to another room which happened to be another king room. After finally being assigned to the correct room, the two king rooms were posted to my credit card in addition to the double queen room I was in. This caused a +$300 hold to be placed on my spending money. Me & my family was in Columbus for a funeral and thankfully I had my family to have my back when I was out of funds. This hotel would not be my first choice to stay at again.
The appearance as I pulled in was inviting. My first contact with the front desk clerk was refreshing after a long day to know that my reservation and accommodations were accurate. Very expeditious at checking me in and recognizing my elite status including offerings of snacks, etc. Freshly baked cookies and coffee were in abundance. Hotel elevator was efficient and clean. My room was impeccably clean with updated furnishings and comfortable bedding. The wifi was quick with easy access. I did visit the executive center and found it to be quite satisfactory with supplies and equipment. The best part was in the morning when exiting my room I was greeted by Mary who was responsible for the professional cleaning and care provided to my room. Her magnetic and contagious personality gave me a great start to my day! I did not make time to take advantage of the breakfast which I am sure would have been on par with everything else. This will be my permanent property for accommodations when I am in the area.
I made my reservation through the Choice Hotels website and check-in was quick. I found my room to be clean, the bed was comfortable and well made. The breakfast area feature the usual cereals, pastries, eggs with a meat, juice and coffee. The breakfast area was well stocked and attended throughout the advertised times. The only issue was with the wifi, which was a little slow and dropped out a couple time. Other than that this is a good, clean hotel with reasonable rate. I would consider staying at this property again when in the Columbus area.
New pool, older building, but great hotel.Lot of highway noise if youre at the pool, but rooms are great, large, clean and very quiet. Being an older building, you can see some cosmetic improvements that could be done, but they are doing a great job working on the important things.Incredible friendly and helpful staff, very courteous to our group of 9. Would love to stay here again
Comfy beds, came w microwave and fridge, pull out couch. There was some remodeling going on but it was super clean and wouldnt have known there was remodeling going on if I hadnt read the papers on the doors. Employees were all extremely nice, I dealt with three different ones for the time that I was there, I will definitely be staying again. Great prices, very comfortable and affordable and free breakfast 🙂 thank u for your hospitality!
We are from out of state and chose a hotel completely at random. We had no idea of what kind of area the hotel was in or how clean the hotel was or anything. We couldnt have been more pleased. It is an older hotel but very clean. The staff was so nice and helpful. The hot breakfast was pretty good. The price was affordable. It was in a decent area, close to shopping and food as well as Ft. Benning, which was why we were there in the first place. Thank you for making our stay great! Also, we will be going back soon for graduation and will be staying here again.
I have stayed with Comfort Suites before and this stay was less than desirable. I was extremely disappointed in the accomodations and overall staff at this location. The location of this hotel with the traffic on I185 made it seem that the room was located in the center of the interstate. Grateful that the power finally was restored so the air conditioner could somewhat drown out the traffic noise in this location. I would not recommend this hotel for future stays. I understand that this review might not be favorable in your eyes, however my experience was not either.
I stayed here for 3 nights back in Jan 2018. The girl at check in Courtney was very nice and check in was fast.I found the room very clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The breakfast was very good. I can say that all the staff I met was all very nice and made for a great stay.I do recommend this hotel to other travelers. Its also well located right off the interstate and very close to the airport. Also the price was very good.Thank you to the staff for a great stay.
My daughters and I stayed here overnight while visiting family in Columbus. We are regular Choice Hotels customers and are usually satisfied with our stays. Our service was good and so was the breakfast. The only reason I cannot give our stay four stars is that there was a nasty sticky stain on the carpet between the beds. I had to place a towel over the spot because I stepped on it barefoot. Yuck.It was so late when we arrived that I was too tired to request a room change. The room carpet, as well as other carpets in the hotel, are in need of deep cleaning. It should never be left like this. Our stay was not worth the cost.
First let me give the staff kudos, very courteous! This place wasnt close to what was advertised online and way overpriced! It wasnt a suite it was a room with two Queen beds and a very outdated (loves seat bed) crammed in. No room to maneuver or spread out; there was only one chair that resembled an auditorium chair that I assumed was for the desk . Yes it sleeps 6, but thats about all its useful for; theres no way to relax without having to be on the beds. The room was musty and dirty, stains on the carpet, hair on the bed and small roaches in the bathroom. We booked for 4 adults and 1 child; there were 4 towels, 1 facecloth and 1 medium size towel, 2 small soaps. Very noisy as you can clearly hear the next room, which I believe used to be the other part to this suite The building is located close to roadside the traffic and other outside noises does not allow for a comfortable nights sleep. If you are in desperate need of a place to bed down over night and dont mind the room rate then okay. Otherwise save your money and find a place that you can feel good about.
Check in was a breeze. Warm cookies, coffee, and lemon water greeted us in the lobby which was clean and nicely decorated. The elevator and area is small but efficient. Our room was spacious, modern, clean, and perfect for our weekend event. Having a fridge and microwave in he room was helpful as well. Definitely would stay here again and encourage anyone in the area to stay here for your next overnight trip!
I cannot express how extremely AMAZING the staff at this location is. The hotel is very clean with comfortable beds and great breakfast available each day. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I recommend this hotel for any reason you visit this location you will not be disappointed. The only problem was internet WIFI connection the few days after hurricane IRMA, so I am pretty sure those issues are resolved.
The hotel was in a great location for all the activities in Columbus. I was visiting a Military family and there was easy access to Ft Benning from this location. The overall look of the hotel was good. The lobby area was well decorated and spacious. The front desk clerk was a joy to do business with. We found out that this was her first week on the job and she handled herself as though she had been there for much longer. Tammie was very helpful and answered any questions presented to her. Her smile was comforting and very welcoming. The room itself was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I would have liked a frig with a freezer, but it was not available in the room. Our breakfast hostess, Thehana, was pleasant and available for any request. The breakfast area was always clean and neat. The housekeeping staff was professional and welcoming. We totally enjoyed our stay at this property.
Hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable beds. Every year my family plans a trip back home for our family reunion. Our go to hotel chain is Choice Hotels. We always stay at a Sleep Inn hotel, but decided to stay at the Comfort Suites this year and we enjoyed our stay. Fresh cookies, orange water and coffee in the lobby. Great breakfast in the morning and they have a pool. Its not huge, but it serves its purpose. The parking lot is a little tight, but ample space. They are a non-smoking hotel which is fine by me because I dont smoke. They have a smoking area which is outside under a gazebo and there is a grill outside also. The ice machine didnt work on my floor but the ones on the other floors did. The workout room is small so dont count on a lot of equipment, but there is a treadmill. Hotel is nice and my family will be looking into this hotel for our stay again next year. Also convenient to a 24 hour Wal-mart. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
My wife and I attended a promotion for my son who is in the Army and we stayed at this Comfort Suites for two nights. Since I have a military background, we often used the three ups and three downs process (AAR) to review some event. Maybe that system can be applied here. UPS: 1. The military rate is absolutely amazing! Thank-you for honoring not only active duty but us retirees as well! 2. The security was greatly enhanced by having inside access to our room. 3. The quality of the room was very nice (and quite)...better that home. (Gotta sneak in a number 4 - the breakfast was very good! Kudoos to the cook.) DOWNS or IMPROVES (room 313 - I think - by the elevator and exercise room): 1. Sweep and mop the bathroom floor/clean all parts of the toilet. 2. Replace the mini-refrigerator (the temperature adjustment is broken and the bottom shelf bar is completely missing) 3. Replace the pillows with better quality ones. Even though I listed some improves, I plan to return to this hotel the next time we visit Ft. Benning. I highly recommend Comfort Suites to anyone who is visiting this area.
We really liked this hotel. The main thing for me is that the room is clean and this one (we got a suite) was very spacious and clean. The pool was good, both times we went swimming, we were the only people in the pool, which is a plus because it is kind of small. The breakfast was kind of lacking on the first day, but I think that is because my son and I went down toward the end of breakfast time. The staff was all very friendly, especially the front desk staff. We were there to spend family day with my son who is at AIT and we plan to book again for this hotel when he graduates.
Booked my stay on the Choice hotels app. and they have my credit card on file. We opted to pay cash upon checking in and we were charged an extra $150 as a deposit for paying cash. Got into our room and there was no shower curtain, holes in the wall, the bathroom door was falling off the hinges. Looked for the extra bedding for the pullout bed. Called front desk to get shower curtain and the bedding. Get back to the room make bed and hang shower curtain only to find out the fridge and tv did not work went to the front desk to ask them for another room and they told me they were full since it was late we went on and went to bed. Got up in the morning and when the new front desk lady came in she gave us a new room and said they were not full. First front desk lady was just lazy and rude. The next room was nice and the breakfast not bad.
Property was nice, but hotel staff had zero follow through. Within minutes of checking in, I noticed our bathroom had no soap -- either body or hand. Requested some at front desk. Following day housekeeping did not service our room -- despite it being unoccupied for 12 hours. When I commented at front desk, she replied that I had left my do not disturb sign on the exterior door. Not true. I told her that was not possible. She then said they had a large turnover that day, and housekeeping has yet to visit my room. Doubt it, especially it was already 5:30 pm and she still didnt ask my room number. I then declined full service housekeeping, and asked for two clean towels. She departed for more than 5 minutes and I waited at the desk. She reappeared empty handed and said that one of two dryers had broken that day. Someone would bring the towels to my room later once they catch up. I inquired if she wanted my room number. She said sure, listened and then dismissed me by doing something else. I asked her if she wanted to write down my room number, and she declined stating she would remember it. I departed half knowing I would not receive any clean towels. I didnt. When checking out, I mentioned my dissatisfaction. The woman said she would adjust my bill to compensate for the poor service. As of four days later, my bill has yet to be adjusted.
We were visiting the area for my sons graduation from Fort Benning Army Infantry. We checked into the hotel on wed evening 5/2. When arriving on the 3rd floor, the entire hallway stunk of marijuana. I was exhausted from my trip, so I decided to stay anyway. I had to wet a towel and stick it under the door jam so the smell would not continue into my room. We got up the next day and attended his Turning Blue ceremony. We decided to drop him off along with his brother and wife to go swimming while we went to the store for snacks. I received a message from my daughter in law that the lady at the desk told them to get out of the pool because there was acid in it. There were NO signs posted and the gate was unlocked. The manager made a flippant comment that if they want their hair to fall out they could continue to swim. They immediately left the pool and went to shower off. When I returned 10 min later, I spoke to the manager along with the front desk clerk that tried to make it sound funny. I demanded to know 1. what did they put in the pool. 2. why was it unlocked and 3. why was there no sign posted. The staff was trying to brush it off as no big deal and they manager lied to cover his behind when I confronted him about the comments he made to my daughter in law. At this point I also complained about the marijuana stink on the 3rd floor and the manager said that he knew about it and was going to charge them an extra fee. I said, what you SHOULD do is kick them out! We all decided to check out of the hotel and move to the Comfort INN in Columbus. (3 rooms). The hotel was much nicer and the staff was professional and accommodating. At this point, there is still a hold on my debit card that needs to be released. I am not the least bit happy with the Comfort Suites and I have been a loyal customer of the Choice Hotel lines for YEARS!
It was a nice hotel. Clean, friendly, and convenient location. It is located near restaurants, department stores, the Columbus airport and about 20 minutes from the Main Post at Ft Benning. The 2-room suite was nice, clean and spacious. The breakfast was good, but its early hours-- 6 to 9 am! Everything we ate tasted good and fresh. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The main drawback to the hotel, for us, was that the whirlpool was not heated, so it was too cold to enjoy.Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.
Lets see, what can I say about this hotel other than it exceeded my expectations! Obviously older, but nicely remodeled. Room was one of the cleanest Ive ever been in. Staff was wonderful - especially Africa, the breakfast hostess! Please do NOT lose her as she is wonderful! A delight to talk to and very professional. I liked everything about the stay and plan to be back next year!
A smooth check in with Justin at the front desk. Realizing our ages, he put us on the ground level floor. We were well pleased with the room, the bedding, and all facilities of room 102. As previously stated, the breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed and that got our day started in the right direction. Justin gave us a late check out which was much appreciated. At 82, we move much slower than we did 20 years ago. Also, memory is not what it used to be. In my haste to check out, I left behind my overnight small carry on bag with all my medicine. After a call to your hotel, I have been assured that it is being sent to me. I expect to receive it tomorrow. Thanks for kindness and professionalism.
I was pleased with the man who checked us into our room. He was nice and helpful. My experience got worse after I returned from my event. The air conditioner leaked and wet the floor along with our belongings in our suitcase. The lady at the front desk offered a mop for me to mop the water off of carpet. She inferred that it was my fault and responsibility to fix. I am still appalled and have not stopped telling my friends of my disappointing experience. This was the only thing that ruined the night.
Everyone here was super nice, and it was always great coming back to a made bed. There was a reasonable amount of space in my room, especially in the bathroom. If you shower instead of bathe, however, beware that the curtain doesnt catch all of the water; put down an extra towel or two to catch any water that goes outside of the tub. Other than that, I cant complain! I didnt have noisy neighbors or any strange bugs crawling around. Would definitely come back here.
I was out of town for over a week and stayed at this Hotel for the majority of my trip! It is not only immaculately kept from the Lobby to the sleeping quarters to the bath, but EVERY single person on the staff actually took time out to say hi when we passed in the hallway! They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable! I felt like this was my own PRIVATE hotel! I got extended and needed to extended my stay two more days; they were booked up but somehow were able to accommodate me so I wouldnt have to find a different hotel! The breakfasts are always hot and good! It is obvious that this staff truly cares about their guests! This definitely will be my hotel of choice when ever I visit Columbus, Ga.
We stayed at this hotel because we were evacuated from South Carolina due to Hurricane Matthew. Upon our arrival, everyone - from the manager to the front desk personnel to the maid - welcomed us and made our stay as pleasant as they could under the circumstances. They were very compassionate and accommodating when we found that we could not return home after our original 3 day reservation. We added 2 more nights with no problem even though Columbus was a very busy city at the time. The hotel was quiet and clean. The breakfast was always warm and well stocked. If we find ourselves in Columbus, GA again, this hotel is definitely our first choice.
Just an ok experience. I was not happy having to wait for my room to be cleaned after the allowed check in time of 3pm. Also, I don’t believe the room was cleaned thoroughly. There was a water bottle behind the desk and some crackers on the floor I ended up stepping on. The king suite is a great size for families. Breakfast options were good.
We were in town to visit our son in law for family day at Fort Benning. We were very pleased with our stay. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. We had a problem the second day with our shower head and the staff was more than accommodating. Jasmine makes the best cookies, which are complimentary for guest, and she always had a smile and very friendly. Definitely would recommend this hotel and we will be back next month for Turning Blue Ceremony and graduation.
We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Suites in Columbus, GA. From the moment we walked up to the desk until we walked out the door, we felt welcome. The staff was friendly and answered any questions we had with a smile. The rooms were comfortable and we loved having the kids in their own bedroom. Breakfast was nice and hot. We would stay there again if we were ever in the area.
Good bang for your buck. The staff is helpful and friendly. The property has recently seen a change in ownership. It looked as though the new owner was doing some repairs on the property. That is a good thing. I have stayed at this property four times in the last 18 months.
Very pleasant stay! Staff was friendly. After experiencing an unsatisfied place before this one, as soon as I called the receptionist was very considerate. Even though the situation happened at a different place, she have her condolences and the best rate possible. There was a lady that worked the breakfast area, she was so nice and wanted to make sure our stay there was perfect.
This place was horrible. I reserved a room for 4 nights and asked to be charged for the full stay time night I checked in, the manager stated that they would do so. I left for NY two weeks ago and Im just now getting a charge for the room. I tried to call to speak to someone about the issue and the lady at the front desk hung up on me 6 times! She would not give me her name or a time period to call back for a manager. I tried to call the customer service for Comfort Suites and was on hold for ten minutes, they stated that they would stay on the line with me for the call with the front desk and they didnt and she hung up on me again! I called customer service back to call for a corporate number and she stated that they were at the corporate office, I asked to speak to a manager and she stated that she did not have a manager available and hung up on me as well. I am calling back for the third time! This is ridiculous for a hotel that doesnt have a proper garbage, doesnt clean well, most of the amenities are broken or cracked! I will never reserve a room with them again!
We were very happy with the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel. The girls at the front desk could be a little more receptive and when we checked in, we were never recognized as Elite Gold members, but we never are at any Choice Hotels. The breakfast was very good, but it would be nice if they would add biscuits and gravy to the menu items.
Really nice, helpful staff. This location is undergoing renovations. Itll likely be a 5-star when the work is completed. Breakfast was good. Its more than cereal and stale muffins! The lady who worked breakfast kept everything stocked and frequently checked on us. Id stay here again.
At my time of booking, I was trying to book a room under a discount rate offered to a group for which I was apart and at the time there werent anymore rooms under that rate so the clerk referred me to another hotel near by with a name of a manager and asked me to give her name to see if that hotel would offer the same rate as Comfort Suites. The following day I called back to Comfort Suites to check the status of their bookings and over night a room had become available under the group rate. I appreciated the effort and amount of concern that was shown to me during my search for lodging and it speaks volumes to the value of customer service shown at this hotel when you consider the effort taken to accommodate me and ensure that I was satisfied.
Check in person was half asleep and acted if we were bothering her. We had arranged for a certain room (full kitchen and on quite side) and were told that an employee was staying in it so we could only have a regular room next o noisy busy street. Since we were staying for 4 days we brought special dietary foods that we were unable to cook since we were moved from our prearranged full kitchen suite. We feel that we should have been informed prior tp check in so we could find a different hotel that meant our needs. Management did nothing to help resolve the issue.
We checked in around midnight on the night of our stay. Christy was working the front desk along with the new GM, Allen. They were a hoot! We had such a good time talking and laughing while checking in. Allen said he is a new GM and Christy a new GSA. We could tell the hotel was in good hands and wished them the best of luck with the new positions and hotel! We cant wait to stay here the next time we are in town and see all of the good Allen does with his new management title. The hotel itself is gorgeous and has spacious rooms. The breakfast hostess was so plesant and breakfast food was beautifully prepared. Thank you guys for a wonderful stay!
This hotel falls below standards when it comes to what I expected from a Comfort Suites. I read a lot of the reviews before selecting this particular hotel and I have to say they must have stayed in a different hotel or maybe the room they stayed in has underwent major renovations. The hotel is older with some very minor updates. The bathroom, while giving the appearance of an updated bathroom, is aged and appeared to have water stains on the wall. The parking lot is extremely small with very limited parking. The elevator appeared to be an afterthought, since very little space was provided to get in and out of it. The layout of the suite is poorly designed and gives the appearance of an old efficiency, minus the stove. The fridge was old and not clean. The carpet is due for some major cleaning and not just from the glass found in the carpet. The best part of our stay was the young lady (Tiffany) who cleaned our room on Saturday and the young lady that checked us in on Friday night. (I cant remember her name) They were both extremely friendly and helpful.
Overall the hotel isnt that bad - but some of the staff make it a place I wouldnt stay again. The owner/managers as well as some of the front desk clerks are rude. The staff in the breakfast area were completely disinterested - no greeting, no offer of assistance, and the food tasted old even though I was there right after they opened. The bath mat was moldy. The attitude of the management is that they are above actually assisting a paying guest. My wife was left standing at the front desk waiting to ask for linens while the owner/manager was having a non-business related conversation on the phone. He didnt even acknowledge her presence. A maid noticed her standing there and came over to help. Upon checkout, when my wife said Thank You to the front desk clerk, she replied with No Problem. I suppose Im old fashioned but when someone says Thank You to me, I reply with Youre Welcome. And in my humble opinion, owners/managers should set the example for their employees and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. I suppose these people get enough business off the interstate that they dont feel the need to worry about losing repeat business. I wont ever stay at this hotel again.
This hotel was chosen for my birthday weekend. I wanted a room with a spa bath. The spa bath did not work. We were told they would contact the general manager for a refund adjustment. I have sent emails and called. Still no word from the GM. I paid extra for a spa bath. It did not work. I need to be refunded. Other than the spa bath not working. The room was clean and very spacious. Justin checked us in. He was very nice and helpful. Also need better cooks for the breakfast.
Staff was exceptionally friendly and willing to go out of their way to accommodate us during our 8 day stay as evacuees. Any need we had was attended to in a timely manner. The front desk was welcoming every time we walked through the door and had excellent suggestions for restaurants and attractions in the Columbus area. During a difficult stay, we felt very much at home!
Two wheelchair users in this room. The hotel did not have a room with two beds and a roll in shower. The staff, Renee and Jasmine, put us in a suite with a larger bathroom and provided us with a shower chair to use in the tub. They were very helpful.Breakfast was good, had most everything we wanted. Parking spots for handicapped are down a very slight hill from the entrance of the hotel. To avoid this we parked on the side of the building.
Checked in on Sunday evening, Went to Dinner and came back to relax and on the toilet was a black hair about an inch long. Then I was getting ready to wash my hands in the sink there were short hairs as if someone had shaved. I walked over to the bed and on the sheets were hairs. I called the front desk and ask could she bring us clean linen. She did and I showed her the hairs. She said I guess they didnt come out in the dryer. I asked if this room had even been cleaned. She was speechless. ( She was friendly) Breakfast the next day was okay they had run out of several items. No creamer, only one biscuit, 3 yogurts. That evening after working I walked in and ask if there was more coffee, she said you can heat it in the microwave. The next morning Breakfast was better and the Breakfast lady on Tuesday was friendly and super.I decided to check out a day early as I have stayed at over 40 Comfort Inns and this one has to be the worst.
We were in town for our sons graduation from boot camp at Fort Benning. We were very pleased with the service and quality of this hotel. It was clean upon site. the room was neat and tidy. Everything smelled great. We rented a two room suite. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was yummy. The only thing that didnt cooperate with our visit was the Georgia weather. But other than that, Comfort Suites allowed us to relax and enjoy our trip. Thanks!
Everything was good until the front desk clerk decided to tell my 15 year old daughter that she was beautiful while she was in a swimsuit which made her uncomfortable..when I brought it to the attention of the clerk he instantly ran away from the front desk to get the manager only for her to come to the hotel and basically brushing what I was telling her off..tiwasnt until my boyfriend started to get upset and they felt threatened thtat they even took it serious..they called the police on us and I was told I cam get my refund in 5 business days but thats if I leave..the housekeeper ended up telling us that this has happened b4 which they fired her on the spot ..if it wasnt true why fire her..long story short Im truly horrified at the thought of someone who can clearly see a child and make that child feel uncomfortable and didnt even apologize for it works there..and they allowed him to finish his shift..It was very inappropriate and very unprofessional
When we got to Columbus GA we had a room booked that accepted pets. We then decided to find a kennel for our pets and we found A Loving Touch Boarding that was wonderful. When we got to the hotel we booked we took one look at it from the outside and the people staying there and I immediately got on the phone and cancelled. We drove to a near by Comfort Inn but they did not have any rooms available. The lady at the desk was so very kind as to call the Comfort Suites farther up the road on exit 8 and was able to secure us a room. We were so happy that we were able to stay there. The room was clean and so comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff was very helpful. I would totally recommend either of the Comfort Inn or the Comfort Suites to stay at.
We stayed at this hotel twice while visiting our son at Fort Benning. The staff was the so helpful the first time we were there and then remembered us when we came back a month later. Our rooms were clean and had nice linens and towels. Always had hot water for a shower with good water pressure.Only problem we had was with the WiFi in our first room.I would definitely stay here again.
If I could, I would give this hotel zero stars. I have never stayed in a choice hotel that was so unaccommodating and poor quality. We had a double bedroom suite. Around 9pm on Friday, we discovered the tv in the bedroom didnt work. We called downstairs and was told that they were switching to direct tv and some of the tvs werent working. We were not told that at check-in at 6pm because we could have chose another hotel. The air conditioner in the bedroom ticked ALL night long and the clock in the bedroom didnt work. So the bedroom just had beds in it! The next morning at 7:30am, I told the young lady (Terica Griff) at the front desk about our issues and asked could it be fixed by the time we returned from graduation. She said she would try and if not, they would move us. When we returned from the graduation (2:00pm), nothing had been looked at in our room and no maintenance guy even came to work that day. Terica said she guess he wasnt scheduled to come in but she would come up to look at the tv. When she looked for a comparable room, they didnt have one. Our room slept 6 people and they only had rooms that slept 4 people. So I told her, we were not interested in a down grade in room. When we got upstairs, our keys no longer worked and housekeeping had to let us in. When we checked out, I told Terica this was the worst Comfort Suites experience I had ever had and asked that they reduce our cost. She said the owner (Sam Patel) would have to do that and she would have him call me. Thank God I asked for the number because he didnt call me. I called him and he said he couldnt give the discount but could give points. I told him that in the past, choice hotels have provided discounts and I was aware that it could be done. He offered points in lieu of a discount or another hotel stay. Now why would I want to stay there again!
Great place to stay, very clean. Bathroom was very clean. The king size bed slept very well. Love that they actually have a comforter on the bed, so I was not cold as all nite. I was make sure there is a refrigerator, microwave and iron and ironing board. That was a plus. I have been to other hotels and paid more and it wasnt an aminitiy.
Nice stay overall. Bed was comfy. Tv could be better. Bathroom clean but could use some repairs. ....ceiling had a small hole above shower, not sure about that??? I am a smoker but like the fact that it is a non smoking hotel...walked in the room and it smelled clean, not musky. Nice smoking area outside! Pool is smaller than expected, enjoy the seating around pool but could use a couple more patio tables. Staff was very friendly and helpful!! Will be returning in June!
Our stay in Columbus was fine. The hotel was clean. However, I didnt like the loud rap music playing in the lobby. Shortly after I had made it to my room on the top floor and unpacked a fire alarm went off so I had to walk all the way down the stairs for what turned out to be a false alarm. It wasnt terrible but I dont think I would stay here again if Im looking for a relaxing evening.
I can say that staying here is usually good. However, it seems that the quality is going down some. As a traveling professional, I have decided to leave reviews at the hotels I stay at in hopes that the owners will read and improve upon the customer experience. The biggest compliment I can give is that the hotel is overall clean. The areas that need to be addressed are: 1. Internet connection is poor! I need the internet for work and it is not to par. 2. The toner on the check out receipt was light! Had to ask for an emailed copy so I can print a darker copy for my company I work for. 3. The room I had, 215, had a missing charging station at the table that is called a desk. I needed this so I could try to do some work on my drained laptop. 4. The doors at the front should be automatic rather than pull type. Found it has to get in and out of with my bags due to them being closed because of the weather. 5. Creamer selection at the coffee station was poor. I thought this location used to carry the pump style creamer. There were only hazelnut creamer cups out at the time I was needing coffee. Again, I hope this review meets with the person reading it in the mindset of improving customer experiences. Thank you for your time.
I had a reservation for stay. Arrival at hotel was greeted friendly and checked in with no problems. Staff were all very friendly and were eager to please and help in any way. Room was clean and kept clean by staff. The temperature control for room was not the best. The fan had to remain on at all times. Temp control was not very good, the room would become too cold and I had to turn off fan. Internet service was intermittent. Either time expired on connection or it was lost but kept having to sign in. One evening internet was out for several hours. Staff was all very helpful and courteous.Breakfast was boring. I stayed at hotel for 2 weeks and it was the same every day, sausage patties, square eggs, cereal, bagels. There should be some variety in breakfast. Include some fresh fruit other than apples and oranges. Try bacon, home fries, sausage links, etc.
The main reason I chose this hotel was because I needed a shuttle to the airport. I was reassured on the phone that there was a taxi service that worked with the hotel that offered that. When I showed up (late check in ) The person that checked me in and gave me a message from the manager saying that they don’t offer that service. The manager had left that message at 3 o’clock I was not informed of that until I checked in after 9 o’clock. That would’ve changed my decision on what hotel to stay at. When the person at the desk called the manager to explain the manager Jason said It was not their mistake therefore I could hire a taxi at my own expense. It didn’t seem to matter that whoever I had called to make that reservation with had mis lead me. The person at the desk was very polite and kind. But it would’ve been nice to know from the manager that the request was not going to be able to be honored before I checked in.
Nice. clean room, close enough to Ft Benning (10 min), many places to eat. Bed, pillows & linen were comfortable. We had a handicapped room so there was plenty of bathroom space. The tub is a little small but clearly the room had been renovated nicely. We will stay here again in Dec.
The rooms in this hotel have high ceilings and give you the impression of ample space. Decor is comfortable but not modernized.Staff is friendly but lacking in true experience service - they seem to be there simply to do a job and not to improve anyones life experience.Breakfast used to be decent, but has seriously gone down hill. Nothing inspiring and bordering on institutional. Sad. Comfort Suites have always been known for providing, well, comfort - but their breakfast is far from hitting the mark there. If exercise is your thing, you may be seriously disappointed with the exercise room. Poor choice of equipment and little amenities. This hotel does NOTHING to set themselves apart, so if you are looking for an experience, look elsewhere. If breakfast is not your thing, and lukewarm service matters little to you, then you will find yourself in a decent hotel with an 75% comfortable room.
Clean the room and the sheets it seem they didnt notice the little things the room can be way cleaner and the hallways need to steam clean they look old and dirty. I can keep going on and on and on. The staff was great but the hotel needs lots of help. I should get some kind of credit now that Im thinking about it. Lets see as a member I would get some kind of credit.
Our hotel stay was wonderful from the moment I called to make the hotel reservations, through arrival as well as departure. The room was very clean, the bedding and bed was GREAT! Best sleep Ive ever had away from home. All staff were courteous, helpful, personable and very polite.
Check-in was fast and friendly. Our room was as expected and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom looked newly remodeled. We had the hot breakfast one morning of our stay and it was good. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Will definately stay the next time we come back to Columbus, GA.
The hotel is incredibly nice. Everything inside is very nice, new, and comfortable. The price is even good. The breakfast was one of the best Ive had from a hotel in years. My only complaint is the windows. They are old and do not block out the road noise. Make sure you ask for the non-highway side.
I dont know how this place is a 3 star hotel and currently is rated 4.1. The room is average size. The shower nozzle is the kind that adjusts, but it wont move to do anything except come apart. Ladies, good luck washing your hair since it takes a while to get the shampoo out. The shower curtain doesnt even cover the whole shower. The mini fridge doesnt work. The floor is still kind of dirty. The girl originally at the checkin counter offered a go bag since we are leaving early both days and dont have time for the continental breakfast, but this morning the person I had to locate said they dont do them on weekends and seemed put out to look and made sure I knew I got the last 2 today. The only good thing I can say is the room is average size. I know I am coming back to town, and I know I wont be staying here!
One thing we. An be sure of when we stay at any of the Vhoice Hotels is that our beds are going to be comfortable and the sheets and comforters will be cozy, and this time we were not disappointed. The building itself was a little old, but we came for a good nights sleep, and that’s what we got.
Everything was great but the couch in the room really needed cleaning. It looked like a dorm room couch. Definately gross. But we didnt use it so it wasnt that big of a deal. Everything else was great. Breakfast had lots of options and even a waffle maker. Huge plus.
The room was neat and clean. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again. The only 2 concern was that the lock on the bathroom door was broken and would not lock. Also, the equipment in the weight room did not work and was out dated. The breakfast food was delicious!
The hotel is easy on and off the interstate. the rooms are suites with a large bath room with granite shower, extra towels, and in room coffee maker. Large room with sofa, 2 end tables, table with two chairs and USB plug, flat screen TV, king bed, two bed side tables with USB plugs. Looks like they recently remodeled. The front desk ladies are the best, very helpful, and very friendly. There are a good selection of restaurants close by. Breakfast is basic continental with cereal, fruit, juice, make your own waffles, hot eggs and a meat of the day, boiled eggs.
Well we were in town for a youth soccer tournament and I ended up with 4 teens in tow. We had the 2 bed suite, and it was EXACTLY what we needed! Plenty of space, there was a separate kitchen, recessed closet, 2 beds, and a couch coffee table, dinette and chairs. More than enough room for everyone and our stuff. The bathroom was large and very clean(as was the room). The TV was new and had premium channels. The kids said the WiFi wasnt good near the window but it was an end unit so it made sense. Only thing was the bathroom door wasnt flush to the jam so you had to be careful opening and closing the door. Would definitely recommend(and did to several other tournament parents that needed rooms) and will definitely return to this property the next time we are in Columbus.
Had a few challenges when checking into hotel with room and other thing. Hotel took my challenges on made them totally correct. I was impressed how quickly they made adjustment. All personnel very service driven !! I would recommend this location . You will be pleased with your stay. Great geographical location to get around town.
I like carpet and wood furniture that is modern but still maintains that cozy feel. So I chose this hotel vs. the plasticky, fiber board, vinyl plank rooms that are out there. Business folks like modern, but want to “come home” to a comfortable and cozy house. Thank you
This hotel is one I would not recommend at all. It was filthy. When I arrived at the hotel at 3 am I was assigned room 206 with had mold all over the tub and a dirty washcloth hanging over the shower. I was moved to room 310 and the bathroom was clean BUT it had NO towels, washcloths or cups. I had to wait for someone to break bf some from the front desk. She told me she left a not for the GM and he was the one who checked me out when I left the hotel and his response to the situation and inconvenience was we just purchased the property & would be doing upgrades very soon. He made no apologies for my inconvenience just excuses. I will never stay at this hotel again and I love Choice Hotels.
Very convenient to the highway - tradeoff is a fair degree of road noise. Not audible over the room AC fan though.Room was very clean and comfortable; not a true suite though, just and extended room. Breakfast average. WiFi barely adequate for light use and nothing more. Typical breakfast.Hot coffee always available in lobby and afternoon cookies are a nice plus. Friendly staff. Good variety of restaurants nearby, including excellent Vietnamese spot. 10 min drive on surface streets into town central attractions. Parking lot would be tight if you are towing a trailer. Area seemed safe, especially compared to closer to Fort Benning.Overall, a value in line with what you expect from the Comfort brand. Would stay here again if back in Columbus.
This was my second stay at this hotel and my third at a choice hotel brand. I was thoroughly satisfied with the customer service. It is a great value for the price. The room was specious and clean. Im not sure how old the hotel is but the bathroom wasnt as presentable as I would have liked. The finish on the toilet seat was chipping.
Great location close to everything, staff very friendly and overall a clean place. very comfortable. breakfast even though included could use a little work. items werent stocked and people were waiting a while for them then like locusts the little they put out was gone. i think they were training someone since a gentleman came in and announced at 9:45 they were breaking down so grab what you would like and at 9:46 75% was whisked away in back as he told her to grab. check with hotel if you are looking to take a swim. pool was closed which i can kinda understand but when you come from 20 degree weather 65 is a heat wave.
It was a nice hotel overall. The elevator broke down shortly after we arrived and we had to walk 4 flights of stairs several times but they got it fixed very quickly especially considering it was a holiday weekend. I only had 2 minor complaints, the breakfast buffet ended at 9:30 instead of 10:00 and even though there was an HBO schedule in the room, we were told that there was no HBO in the rooms.
This being our first time in Georgia was wonderful here at your hotel, we would have given you a perfect score but having cobwebs in the room and the breakfast area being so warm the A/C just couldnt do the work needed to make it comfortable. We stayed 8/30 till 9/02We asked the lady on the first night where to go for dinner, I believe her name was Ashley. She suggested Café LeRue and the food was fantastic. We left with a full stomach, thank you so very much. The second day the breakfast are was just as warm and it was a bit in need of better attention in cleanliness, still had cobwebs in the room. The day of the of the 2nd, I had asked if it would be ok to leave a day earlier due to the fact our son had just graduated and his orders were changed and we were going to stay till the 3rd but he went to Fort Gordon on the 2nd. Your hotel staff and manager were for helpful, let us check out a day earlier and refunded our last day. Now other than the cobwebs and the warm breakfast area we will continue to comeback here.Thank you so very much,Barry & Connie Ellis
If you are accustomed to staying with Comfort Hotels/Suites, this one is just average. The check in/out staff are very nice. The room was average. Breakfast, again was average. I stayed the next night in Montgomery, Alabama for less money and had a much nicer hotel and room. If you are just looking for a clean/comfortable room this one will do.
The manager at night was never at the desk. She was hanging out with friends by the green pool. The pool wasnt open the entire stay. The room was nasty and looked like someone busted in the door before. There was mold on the walls. The air condition did not work. Stains all over the floor. Hair in shower. The lock to conjoined door fell off. When I tried to tell the manager it took her an hr to get to desk because she was hanging out with friends at pool that was locked up. Once she finally came to desk she did change my room but it was already to late.
I have stayed at many, many Choice Hotels across the states, and while this one wasnt the worst one Ive stayed at, it was very close. The food/breakfast service was absolutely the worst ever. One morning, I went down at 8:30 am, and everything was put away. I asked what was going on, she said they ran out of styrafoam plates, so they stopped serving, rather than go to the store and buy more plates. The next morning, there was no coffee, 4 empty carafes of coffee, and none for the guests. My room had handprints all over it, and everything just felt sticky. There were strange characters hanging around the hotel as well, I was a bit afraid of going out of my room.We also had a problem at the front desk. They charged our credit card at 4:00 pm on the day of check in, because we hadnt arrived before 4:00 pm (we checked in at 7:00 pm). The front desk clerk said that couldnt happen, but we showed her our electronic banking record showing the withdrawl from our account. We eventually got it all straightened out on the day we checked out, but we worried about it the whole time we were there.
Stayed one night while on vacation. Asked, as I always do, for a top floor room away from the freeway noise. Watched TV for awhile then decided to go to bed. It wasnt until then that I realized we were on the noisy freeway side of the hotel. Why cant the hotel staff follow a simple request. Did not get a good nights sleep. Room was nice. Bed was great. Breakfast was good.
Excellent hotel and terrific value, and the location was convenient with sufficient eating places close by! I had only two negatives: 1) the breakfast bar was not replenished with regular coffee, sweetener, and eggs during my breakfast, all of which I wanted, and 2) a vehicle with backup alarms sounded like it was right outside our window around 2 am for about 15 minutes (continuous beeping) - and we had asked for a quiet room - but, if it was an ambulance, of course, it was fine.
When I arrived yesterday there was a used bar of soap in the shower and the hand lotion on the counter was 3/4 used. I called down and was asked if I wanted to switch rooms or have it cleaned, I asked for it to be cleaned, it wasn’t. It is going on 1600 (a full day later) and it still hasn’t been cleaned, the 1/2 toilet paper roll that was left is out and I am out of towels. I called down again and was told to go into the hall to ask the cleaning lady to stop by. I tried and they were gone. Terrible service. I am begging to have my room cleaned and can’t get basic supplies. Exactly how I wanted to spend my few short hours with my husband graduating Basic. On the freeway sounds like the windows are open when they aren’t. Pick somewhere else.
This is an excellent lodging option for military personnel traveling to and from Fort Benning. This hotel is very close to the airport and requires only a small taxi fee to transport there from the airport. The price was excellent, room was clean and tidy. The staff was very helpful and polite. Breakfast was included so this was a fantastic value. I plan to stay here every time I need local lodging when I travel to and from Fort Benning.
This is an easy review to do. This Comfort Inn is the best. I stay here dozens of times each year. My stays here are always enjoyable. They always meet all my needs and take care of my requests. And I do have extra requests. I dont have to wonder if I will be treated professionally at this hotel. I would highly recommend.
I tried to give this property another chance after my previous experience, this is by far the worst property I’ve stayed in awhile. 1st room had an open broken A/C, bed wasn’t made, room smelled muggy & moldy. The second room was hot, A/C didn’t work properly & was loud. Loud noises caused me leave earlier than I was expecting to.
I mentioned noise because the room window was only a few yards from the interstate. Nothing to my knowledge can be done about it but it was distracting. The internet was in and out all weekend long. Most of the time it worked well but other times it would not even open email. There did not appear to be enough parking for the size of the facility. Partially because the large sign for the hotel had just been blown down in a near tornado. It was still in the parking lot and took several parking places. Again, not much could have been done about it. I understand the circumstances and I am sure it will be taken care of as soon as possible. If I am ever in Columbus again I will happily stay here again. It is a great location to be if you are just checking out the sights.
Excellent service at check-in with Mandie. Stayed 3 nights had 2 rooms. Rooms very clean. Easy on and off I-185 to reach Ft. Benning. Thehana in the Breakfast Room also excellent service, making sure we had everything we needed. Will be returning in May for Graduation. This is our hotel for any future visits to the area. Thanks to all for a great stay!!!
Great value. Room was clean and spacious. Included necessary amenities: mini fridge, microwave, Wi-Fi, iron and ironing board, ample bath linens. Bed was roomy and comfortable. Sleeper sofa included with room for additional sleeping space. Continental breakfast offered many selections. Fitness room offered machines as well as free weights. Conveniently located to restaurants and Walmart.
If your in Columbus, GA for anything you must stay here! The price is great and the staff is amazing. Oh and the food is great. There was plenty of food hot and ready to go for breakfast. We stayed in the suite. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and pillows were too. The staff is one their game and they answered all of our questions from where to eat, to what to see in the area. They made our trip to Columbus enjoyable.
The hotel stay was pleasant and served its purpose. The beds were hard and the breakfast wasnt the best. This was the only hotel in the area that had a two room suite available for the dates we needed. I would stay here again if I needed to. Was not the worst Ive stayed at and was not the best. For the price I felt they could have been better. The free internet was slower than dial-up.
Highly recommend this hotel to travelers. We were in town for the GHSA Cheerleading Championship. The hotel staff made our stay extra special. They had good luck banners made for all teams staying at their hotel. Melissa answered all of our questions. She made sure check was easy.
Great price and clean hotel. Donna will take good care of you at arrival and the lovely lady that takes care of breakfast area is so sweet and helpful. Rooms are always clean and as much as I work out on the road you look for friendly staff to make stay pleasant. This hotel does and I appreciate it.
The hotel was comfortable, clean and convenient to where I was working- however I was driving a large truck w/a 30 trailer behind it- and there was really no place to park. I felt like after I worked my way into a back corner- I was still taking up a large portion of the available parking. Other than that all was good.
I stayed in this hotel for a Miss Georgia training. The entire weekend was nice. It seem that the hotel had over 60 Soliders there. But they made sure everybody was comfortable and had what they needed for their room. Great Job staff hope to see you all in June for Miss GA.
We arrived late in the evening to be able to attend Family Day and Graduation for our grandson from Basic Training at Ft. Benning. We were checked in efficiently and were able to rest up for our business days ahead. Very convenient to the base and very accommodating. Enjoyed the yummy cookies every afternoon provided by hotel. We would stay again.
Everything was great. But on the pic showed a pool my young son wanted to swim. It was a cloudy green that looked like old pee. In the middle of summer. Noone was in it because it was nasty.everything else was ok for the price. But hallways on fourth floor need more attention. Staff was very nice.
One of the worst and most difficult hotels stays I have ever had (and I stay overnight close to 100 nights/year). Checked in and first thing off the bat is the room key doesnt work so had to go back downstairs to get new keys. Room was ok but nothing great. Went to go get ice on the 2nd floor and, of course, the ice maker does not work. Had to go back downstairs. The real problem though started when I checked out the next morning and looked at statement. The balance charged was almost $30 higher than what I signed/reserved. When I asked both the morning clerk (Tricia Griffin) and the back house manager (Victoria Bryant) to correct it, they said they couldnt. They tried to call the owner (because they did not have a hotel manager) but he would not answer. They then tried calling someone else who did not even work there anymore and he did not answer either. I finally left with a written statement from them and a promise that the owner, Sam Patel, would call and correct. Mr. Patel never did call me direct but did finally about 4 hours later reverse overcharge and recharged my credit card. Very unprofessional.
We were temporarily displaced from our home due to upgrades being made to our bathroom. We live here in COLUMBUS and this Hotel and the staff did not disappoint. They made us feel like we were at home with their outgoing personalities (Julian and Allen) as well as the other staff who names I can’t recall; but their friendly faces and smiles we will never forget. We stayed a total of 4 nights and each night was comfortable: clean: quiet: and relaxing.Thank you all so much from Our family to you all!!Armour Rd:Comfort Suites: COLUMBUS GA rock!!!
Our stay at the Comfort Suites in Columbus wasnt planned but thanks to Hurricane Irma, we stayed 5 nights there. Kudos to Manager Amy Childs and her staff for helping a hotel full of Florida evacuees feel welcomed and cared for. Everyone was extremely helpful, courteous and friendly... difficult situation for a hotel but this group of people handled it extremely well! Thank you!
I thought this was a good hotel, it would have been nice to see what it looked like after the remodel (we were there during the process of remodel)I was grateful to have been able to get a place during our stay in Georgia, the place we had booked originally was a smoking room, (which we did not ask for) It was very stinky. Comfort Inn was able to get us in, No problems. Thank you!
I HIGHLY suggest that no one stays here! My Pandora necklace, as well as my husbands very expensive chain was stolen just after one night of staying at the hotel! We filed a police report and the staff claimed to have found it by the night stand but his chain was never found! Clearly the manger or the cleaning staff went into our room and took our valuable belongings. The manager, Melissa was very nasty and rude throughout the entire process! If you value great customer service, respect, and you leaving with your belongings, PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!

2022-06-04Disappointed..We had been on the road all day and booked this room to stay for a night on our way to Florida. First thing soon as we got on the elevator to head to the room all you could smell was Marijuana. As soon as we got in our room I noticed something crawling on the white comforter. Well...it was about 3 roaches. We immediately left and tried to get a refund but they wouldnt allow a refund so we left anyways and ended up at the Double Tree down the street. It was nice and clean. Wouldnt stay here again unfortunately. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly though considering the circumstances.

2022-05-02Positive: The room looked just like pictures. Bed slept well. Desk clerk was ver courteous. Location was convenient to everything. Negative: A weird smell was coming through the vents especially in morning of our check out it smelled like some one setting right next to smoking and blowing it directly in your face.

2022-05-29Very comfortable clean beds, nice bathrooms great water pressure, they’re out of most of everything toiletry wise however; no soap. Breakfast was subpar, out of all drinks except coffee and water, same lack luster menu every morning. Sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy,Waffles, cereal, and variety of presealed muffins.Ran out of gravy first night never got any more. Over all nice stay but seems that management doesn’t order food or toiletries regularly. I’d come back though, great for price

2022-05-21The front desk staff was so friendly and polite. I stayed in the King Suite that was nice. Just a few things I noticed that caught my attention like bathroom door handle was coming off, the unfinished paint spots, and gum that was stuck in the carpet got under my right foot.

2022-06-16Horrible. Don’t stay here. Family with 3 kids. We got to our floor smelled like wet dog got to our room and it smelled musty. There were soda stains on the tables and sticky stuff like if a drink spilled. They clearly didn’t clean the counters. There was also a bag of peanuts open and ate that was left on the side table. Nasty! The curtains had red stains like blood or ketchup. The bathroom had holes in the wall. It was a horrible experience don’t book this place.

2022-04-05Positive: It was in a prime location for the purpose of my visit. However, I didn¿t realize the outdoor pool was weaff at I El and think that should be posted on your site. I arrived GA from AK thinking I¿d be able to use the pool but it was closed.

2022-06-18Positive: The breakfast & coffee were good. Negative: There was a large loud group in the pool until after 11pm. I left the TV on to drown out the noise. The hall carpets were filthy and trashy, and graffiti in the elevator. Thankfully I didnt need the shoddy soiled sofa bed. This was Not good value for $

2022-05-18I had a suite on the first floor with a view of the parking lot. The problem was everyone in the parking lot also had a view of me. This hotel has a busy highway on both sides so the noise wad terrible and I couldnt seem to get the temperature in the room quite right. Not one of my better stays

2022-03-27As soon I checked into the room, there was a bad smell. I walked around the room and noticed that the bed sheets were BADLY stained so I immediately went downstairs to inform the front desk. They moved me to another room. The next room didnt have a smell, but as soon as my husband sit in the office chair it was broken and then I went to walk over to him and stood by the couch and half wall and the half wall moved when I put my hand on it! It was literally barley attached to the main wall. The couch also looked dirty so we walked back down to the front desk to inform. I was really struggling with the stained bed sheets and just how poorly the overall cleanliness of the rooms were so we decided not to stay there. Even the walls in the hallways were damaged in several places. This hotel is in need of a major update!!!

2022-04-06The hotel staff was pleasant and professional. The hotel was clean but could be updated. There was no iron or phone in the room and I had to go retrieve an iron myself from the front desk.
