Great selection of bourbon. Very pricey though, lol. Didnt realize a 2oz pour of boss hogg was $85. But hey I still enjoyed tasting bourbon I may never own or see again. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Awesome atmosphere as well. Huge selection of drinks.
This was our first time in GA and oh baby was it great. 100x better than riverview, but thats to be expected. Love the local scene and cant wait to return.

My wife and I are wrapping up a month-long visit to Savannah. We LOVE this city because everyone - both locals and tourists - are SO friendly!We haven’t had a bad experience anywhere for the entire month we’ve been here…until we walked into the Congress Street Social Club.I’m a bourbon fan, so I’ve asked about bourbon bars during our time here, and many said the Social Club has one of the best collections in the city. I assure you they do; I was very impressed with their selection.However, the bartender Wednesday night 3/30 was so rude, so awful, that we walked out without spending a nickel.I don’t know her name, but the bartender’s in her late 20s with long, dark brown, tightly curled hair. It was around 7pm and we were the only ones in the bar; most were outside enjoying the patio. We stood in front of the bar for something like 3-4 minutes looking at the bourbon before she even acknowledged us. When we asked a few questions about their bourbon selection, she responded so curtly and rudely that it shocked us.Do you have a rye section?No.Ok, do you have a menu?No.Umm, ok, well we like rye. Do you have High West Double Rye?No.Enough. There are plenty of great bars in Savannah. I’ll be damned if I’m going to spend my money with someone so rude.People describe the Social Club as a dive bar. I disagree. My wife and I hit a couple of great dive bars on a regular basis back home in Raleigh. What makes dive bars great are their people, specifically their bartenders! That’s definitely not the case with the Social Club. I recommend you spend your money elsewhere.
Incredibly skilled and friendly bartenders are just the beginning of this beautiful and historic bar. The atmosphere and crowd are perfect for an intimate gathering of friends and loved ones. As I was sitting down at a sushi bar like 2 blocks away from this place, the bartender at the sushi restaurant was talking to a couple and I eavesdrop (didnt mean too) and said the best burger was at the Social Club down the streets. Needless to say, I was out the door in a heart beat always looking for the next best burger joint. But, Ill be back for some sushi. Within 3mins of walking I found Social Club down the block.Walked in and was greeted right away by a waitress cute as can be. Sat down and started to look over the menu and observing the environment here. Very relaxing and nice. Comfortable to hang out in a group or just by yourself like me.So I ordered the Social Club cheeseburger and fries. Barely half way done with my first beer comes my burger.Burger was great. Just right! Couldnt have agreed with the bartender from the sushi restaurant more.Love the chill relaxing environment. DEF must try for first timer or repeated customer! Over great experience with great service!
Waited 45 min. As the cook served all the white ppl that walked up. Even served my black friend. Before me, waiting 40 mins to order. Took his order n then ignored me? After 40 mins of waiting, can I get served?

On a quest for the best mac n cheese in Savannah and was recommended this spot. I would say it has been my favorite mac n cheese in comparison to the other great southern spots around town. The mac and cheese was nice and smooth, loaded with chicken tenders and bacon. the addition of hot sauce and bbq was a special treat. The atmosphere was great for an off street local spot. highly recommend, would have liked to come here in the evening when its a bit more happening.
Great place to grab a lite bite and a drink. Lively crowd- both locals and tourists. Food reasonably priced. Outdoor section is large and spacious. Per friendly till 9 pm, not sure if they enforce. Definitely will hitting it up again.

Great place! Enjoyed the quick drinks and the quality of drinks. We stayed on the patio and hung out a few nights in a row since our air b n b was right nearby. Love that it is dog friendly too, hence the dog photos instead of people and drinks :) Good chill vibes!
Travel the country and typically look for good local spots that provide good atmosphere and good quality of food and drinks.This restaurant meets the atmosphere button due to location mostly.For $90 Saturday lunch, they missed by long shot. Service could of been better as well.

The cheeseburger, frito pie, and coke was right on time after a long ride on the road. There were several options for hanging out. Outside by the bar (there were fans 👍), inside (AC) or a lower level. The art was pretty cool too.

Honestly the Upper Decker is one of the best non traditional burgers I’ve ever had. The cook was able to take orders, cook the order, take payment, and remember the orders from each customer. The menu is simple to order, the food my group ordered was delicious. I can’t wait to come back and order some more. The atmosphere is so chill. Highly recommended establishment.

The food was done in an unconventional booth, but turned out good at an awesome price. HUGE whiskey selection for the enthusiasts out there, and at the cheapest price per pour than Ive seen anywhere. Not the most refined establishment, but overall very happy with the experience.
Awesome patio with tons of shade! We had lunch here for a quick snack type bite and their hot dogs do not disappoint! So good! Bar inside is a spectacle to see also, anything you could think of they have on the wall!
Pretty cool spot. I read the reviews of the upper burger. It was ok. You had to pay for your food separate, which was odd since we sat at bar. The bartenders were friendly.
Our party arrived there later into the evening, and we had a bad experience with a rude bartender in the back (wont mention his name) - brought it to the mgr in the front and she (wont mention her name either) just brushed it off. Maybe they were a little salty from working so late. Too many other cool bars in Savannah to go to where the staff was excellent.
Whiskey bar is beautifully designed and easy to get a drink. Outside patio is nice, bbq Is off the chain. Younger crowd but worth a quick visit when drinking in the Market square area
I absolutely love this place! I had been looking all over for a live band and I found one of the best ones I’ve ever heard one Sunday evening. The atmosphere was right and the drinks were strong. My type of vibe!
I didnt even know $2.50 drafts existed... but I live in DC. Great place. The person working the grill sucked though. Refused to take my order which was a standard menu item because they were busy. Other than that, 5 stars.
Their selection of whiskey is outstanding and the old fashioned is so strong and delicious. Some of the best bartenders in Savannah! Excellent DJs and bands on the weekends. Voodoo soup on Sundays is awesome. Outside area, inside bar with stage and downstairs bar too with fousball and pool tables. The barrels and art inside is really cool too. Super popular spot in downtown especially on the weekends. Also tons of TVs for sports.

#1-If you are a rowdy, obnoxious Ravens fan you are ruining the place for everyone! Find another hangout to destroy on Sundays, no one wants your trash and its not cool to walk out on tabs. #2- Great place, both inside and out to drink. Super cool bartenders.

Bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable, had a grilled cheese burger, excellent!! The only thing I didnt care for was the 1 person sitting just down from us, he was vaping & the fumes were nauseating.

Great bourbon selection and the grill out front (separate from the restaurant) makes delicious cheeseburgers... Make sure you get it with comeback sauce. Great indoor and outdoor space. The crowds are often sports oriented or younger. However enough space to find a quiet (enough) place to chat.
This is my favorite place to go in downtown Savannah. They have multiple bars amd TVs around the entire place. Downstairs has a cool little arcade to chill and have some drinks. This place is very popular and will get packed. Thier bar food is pretty good and you can order from the grill on the street without walking in. Thier drinks are not expensive and they have a big bar with wide selections.
Great place to grab a beer and a burger and watch a game. The cook with the cowboy hat and mustache is awesome and very handsome I might add, I might have to whisk him off of his feet. Sadly I found our he’s married anyways, Great service all around.

Had a blast the downstairs area has pool tables as well as other games. Theres a photo booth on the stairwell going down. There bars one outside, one on the main floor inside, and one downstairs. The bartenders were very sweet. The food was decent and the bathrooms were clean.

Amazing place. Cozy environment. They have old fashioned on tap. Must try. Pool table with $1 for game. Will definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Savannah.
Fun facility due to the capacity it can hold, meaning more social interaction but very poor cleaning .. Everything feels dirty. I think the rain on the patio cleans better than the employees anywhere else. I have also seen people wait at the bar and the bartenders will avoid them and serve others that walk up later. Its very unorganized. I would meet friends there but I would not make that my hang out spot for the evening.
Stood at the window of the grill for over 30 minutes. Was told that it would be just four minutes every time staff came. When my friend asked how much longer it would be, he was told to get in line. Very disappointed with the staff. Would not recommend to even my most drunk friend at the end of the night. It sucked!

The street food prepared by Heather is fantastic. It is simply hamburgers and hot dogs, but good ingredients and expert preparation.Love it and go out of my way to get one or two whenever I am in the area.That being said, the bartenders seem to be over burdened and not thrilled to be there, getting a drink is sometimes impossible.Go inside and there may be a bartender that can help, maybe.....But go by for the food if you have a late night hunger, this will satisfy.
The brown water selection is amazing! Monday nights after 8 would be great for anyone new to the brown water. $2.50 per shot of a select 20 ( or so) bottles. Meet an awesome girl named Sarah there too, she is an amazing bartender! The wife and I had a great time!

This is such a great bar, you guys.Every bit of the atmosphere, the separation between the upstairs and down. The place oozes with classic American pool bar, except with clean bathrooms.Good drinks at cheap prices and hell, even the food was great.Im going back.

Really nice and spacious outdoor patio, and a great selection of beers. Best wings Ive had! -- meaty and nicely smoked and not overwhelmed by sauce or grease. The brisket nachos didnt live up to the high expectations set by the wings, but still tasty.
This is one of my top favorite spots in Savannah. The food is really tasty, drinks are always good, the bar tenders/bouncers are friendly and professional. This is a chill bar to go to if you wanna play a few games downstairs, listen to live bands upstairs, or vibe with your friends on the outdoor patio.

Fantastic location downtown, right behind City Market. The food is decent, inexpensive, and just right for a bar. The tacos are really good and something I order almost every visit. There is a huge patio out front, so you can sit inside or out with various sporting events or musical entertainment. There is always a good time at the Social Club
I love this place. The patio out front is huge. They have a grill out every night. They sell hamburgers and hot dogs on the patio as well as a bar. Inside is a huge club area with a stage and a bar. Downstairs they have another bar pool tables and other games. The social club is definitely a social club.
Lunch at this superb, relaxed, slightly dilapidated, dive bar. MANY craft and the ususal p---water beers, good full bar and bar food with a few excellent surprises (Trash Can Nachos). Outdoor seating under the trees is nicely done, on a few levels, with tables and chairs and pillow sofas with coffee tables. And bird song. Music at a moderate level so conversation is possible, a few TVs that are not in your face. Friendly waitstaff and bartenders.
Visiting savannah for the first time and this is where I decided to grab my first drink. We were going to hang out but we were only there for 2 minutes when the bartender was blatantly rude to us and we left right away. He seemed very arrogant and unpleasant and I will probably always have a bad taste in my mouth about this place now. There are plenty of other bars nearby where people are actually happy to have your business.
Great food here and awesome atmosphere. Its a great time whether you are looking for lunch or a night out. Its very close to other venues so you can visit whatever you want after you have your meal.Only complaint is that service is a little slow here. Sometimes they are understaffed. However, they are always friendly and do what they can!

Love Savannah as you rarely see anything except local restaurants. Its such a breath of fresh air but also provides guests an opportunity to enjoy the true Low Country cuisine. This was our first visit here and we will be back!

Nice place to go drink and chill or go drink and dance. Live music no cover when we went. Outdoor area was real nice with lights in the tree and an outdoor bar. Most everyone was outside becuase it was so nice that evening but the band was awesome that night as well. Just had to go inside to listen.
20$ hr job ad show up to interview 20 turns into 10$an hour plus tipa but there are no tips cause they just keep them if you show up even 1 min late easy way to steal from you kitchen manger is a thief and someone will steal from you here i have not even been paid and i quit months ago.
The family and I were in the area looking for something to eat. We happened to pull over right in front. Caught a glimpse of the menu outside and liked the vibe so we decided to try it. Were glad we did!We had the smoked wings, tacos, fries and a few Arnold Palmers. All were excellent!The Georgian tacos were delicious. The fries were nice and crispy. The Arnold Palmers were so good we pretty much filled up in those and got some to go. But the wings....were literally fall off the bone good! We loved everything!

A little bit of a walk from the river front but if you like good spirits with a unique rustic atmosphere, this is a must do. If you enjoy sampling a huge selection of bourbon and whiskey you need to check them out when they have the 2.50 shot specials. They have about 15 or 20 bourbon shots including Buffalo Trace for 2.50 a shot. Pool, darts and a few other games as well.

This one of the places my wife & I go to regularly. Food has always been good. The Failure Bowl is my favorite. Homemade mac with white cheddar cheese sauce, long list of items to mix in with the mac/cheese. Burgers, salads, BBQ, Burgers all are good. At night it is crowded, they have a band, & dance flloor. Stays open till 3am 7 days a week.
Cons:- Good place to get hazed by your skank sisters/frat brothers- no table service outside (?)- everything is sticky- dont sit by the outdoor entrance/exit. people throw their glass bottles as hard as they can at the trash can and its loud as all get up.- tacos are so-so. dont expect much.Pros:- Pretty nice outdoor seating area. But dont leave your table alone because it WILL be taken by strangers.- Pretty decent beer selection for people who like craft beer, though not many good ones on draft.
Im writing this as I wait for my food. Now 6 people has been served since I been waiting for my food. I ordered got told it was a dollar extra for comeback sauce no problem. Well the 2 orders after me ordered didnt get charged for the sauce how does that happen? The finally 20 mins later and now 7 orders later my order is wrong. Im a local and eat and drink here on a regular basis. Tonight is by far the worst service Ive ever experienced.
I’ve never left a one star review before. Steven was an absolute horrible bartender and that’s coming from a former bartender. He was slow, rude, and did not know how to make a drink. You can be a couple of those things, but not all of them. If I owned the bar, there’s no way I would be proud that he was my employee.
The bartenders Zack and Sean were so awesome! They were fun to talk with and went out of their way to ensure that we had a good time. I would highly recommend it for good vibes and good drinks.

Fun place. Was one of the only late-night places open on a Monday night. Drinks were strong and although they werent serving food, they had a street food vendor at the outside area serving street tacos. Awesome and cant wait to go back!
Fun bar that stays busy on the weekends so you can see lots of people. Like every other place downtown is they need hotter bar tenders. Fun place though. Typically have a band or d.j. inside bar, the downstairs has darts and pool. Also, you can hangout outside when the weather is right and they.cook burgers and stuff late night.
Great place for a night out. Once the basement is open, you can spend hours there. There is pool, pinball, and darts, so its also a good place for a group of friends to go to hang out. Upstairs, there was live music and a little bit of dancing.

Nice big space and a lot of drink choices. I went here a couple of times over the weekend and enjoyed the courtyard. Had some good mac and cheese outside. Bartenders were friendly, outside food stand employees not so much.

A few different scenes you can get into: outdoors grill, indoor band or dance music, downstairs pool, darts, foosball, or skeeball.Downstairs is a bit hot and humid and kinda hard to breathe. The grill outside can make the whole area smokey occasionally. Beautiful women EVERYWHERE

Burger was good, macncheese was different but good. Definitely a local hang out. Bartender was definitely more interested in getting back to conversation with the group at the bar than getting my order correct. Bartender was so uninterested in serving me that she sat my credit card and bill down in front of the guy next to me and walked off. Guy sitting next to me was like ummm I think this is yours. Better service and this would be a 5 star review. Tip to all waitresses, write the order down! Nothing more frustrating than you not writing it down and me not getting what I ordered.

Ordered to go food with coworkers. Got there about 5-10 minutes after they opened to pick up food. Guy behind inside counter/bar, Randy, lacked any concern for a couple of orders being messed up. The food wasnt ready when we got there and his excuse was they just opened. Uh...we ordered time they opened by phone; and if you open at noon, shouldnt your food, especially when youre known for smoked wings, be ready because your menu says smoked for 6 hours before cooking!?! Also, there were people sitting outside already with some type of food so why did we wait about 10-15 additional after getting there, after ordering at about noon. For those of us that ordered mostly flats, he claims there was no way to provide them because they just opened. Randy sucked!!! My coworker that frequents the restaurant said it was her worse experience and she did call the next day or two and Randy answered the phone, she asked for a manager, and he claimed he was the mgr. Also, my wings were salty...ordered sweet chile lime, totally missed that flavor profile.

Went on a Friday night....mixed crowd, police security, plenty of seating. Hip hop was playing outside on the patio and a live band was playing on the inside. Food served on the patio. We had a good time!

I love Social, been there hundrends of times. Today I went with my dog. My dog slept the entire time (besides people petting him). At 9:50pm a staff member came up to me and the group I was with and said there are no dogs allowed after 9pm and we had to get out due to upper management getting mad at this staff member for allowimg this. The policy is posted outside, have never seen it until tonight. I completely understand. But...we had JUST ordered another pitcher of beer at 9:40, why was this allowed?I asked the staff member if we could just finish the pitcher and we will be on our way, he told me NO you have to leave now. I ended up having to give my pitcher away due to me not being able to carry 4 cups of beer at the same time, which really sucked because that was my beer.Next time yall have a customer there with a dog maybe you should give them a 30min heads up.before 9pm rolls around, and maybe there should have a staff meeting so yall are on the same page about not selling things to ppl with a dog WAY after 9pm, and maybe if that does end up.happening yall should take the responsibility and own up to your mistake of allowing the purchase of a pitcher after 9pm with a dog and allow that customer to finish it or give her her money back.Sorry, love Social but I am really upset about not being allowed to finish my drinks.
Visited here while in town seeing some family. We had an amazing time my 1st time going out in Savannah, didnt know that you can walk around with a drink down there. Will definitely be going back.
The social is a cool bar. They fire up the grill serving burgers and dogs. Have your I.D. ready. Pool tables darts and good vibes downstairs. I suggest this for anyone
Ive only ever stopped outside for their sidewalk grill cheeseburgers but they have been goos every time. Its a good late-night eat. They have other items too, but I like the burgers. Try them with the Comeback Sauce.
Fast, Friendly, Amazing!!!! Absolutely must suggest that you try a Failure Bowl!!! Im absolutely addicted. This place has an amazing atmosphere, the bartenders are friendly, fast and super fun to be around. A must visit when youre in Savannah!!!
Its always a great time to go here. Outdoor seating, cheap drinks, and good food. And at night it turns into one of the best spots in Savannah to dance and have a great night.
Terrible service. Bartender with Blonde hair, nose ring, and tattoos has a poor attitude and went off on my brother. The bouncer also suffered from power issues as well and threatened to “waste” my brother. Bad form. Bad service. A “bourbon” bar with no real knowledge of bourbon. Stay away unless you want them to overcharge you.
Good for sports and if there is an event it gets good. Food is sort of tragic.
Really cool spot that has a big outdoor space. Draws a strong younger/college aged crowd with a line but overall a cool place to hang and get drinks. Late night grill food was a huge plus.
We ordered a sausage dog on the patio for $5 served with comeback sauce. It was awesome. You could also order street side from a rip in the screen. LOL Comfy benches on the patio with cushions to lounge on.

I appreciate the amount of space here. There are three distinct areas to hang out, which is nice. It gets pretty packed with a college crowd, which can get drunk and dumb real quick. If thats your scene, youll love it. If not, youll hate every minute of it.

Love this place, some locals told me and my friend about it on a previous trip. I took my girlfriend back there and it lived up to my hype the 2nd time. Great staff, solid drinks and great food, well be back again.

Fun bar with some not too expensive drinks. They have a large outdoor area thats relaxing if the weather cooperates. The staff is friendly. The beer was decent.
The food was bad, they didnt have a beer we wanted but the worst was the bouncers are complete jerks! One of them tried to pick a fight with one of the people in our party and shoved another one of us on the way out. Made a very derogatory comment about our generation. Completely uncalled for, will never go there again!
They need to figure out something better for food. If I am drinking I need to be able to eat and there is not enough support in that area. Step it up.

Probably the worst bouncers to ever be hired. There was one boy in particular who was so rude to everyone in line. He made comments to girls that were completely unnecessary, which made the girls very uncomfortable and it was obvious to everyone around. This bouncer had BRACES and I don’t think he was of age to be working this job. I don’t want someone checking ids to be 17. Nonsense. This used to be my go to bar in Savannah but after this bouncer created a horrible environment for me and my friends and girls around us, I can’t say if I will ever be back.
Believe the great reviews. Fun place with a great bar and surprisingly good food. I will only add that they have the best grilled cheese sandwich in the city.
I was assaulted at this bar by the bartender and his friends.I went to the the bar to order two beers. After waiting an excessive length of time and being passed over for drinks for multiple parties, I asked loudly as to be heard if my friend still wanted a beer as”I was obviously not going to be receiving service”. Before I could turn around from completing my statement the bartender hit me in the shoulder and said “ you need to get the f**** out of here”. Apparently the bartenders friends who were present found this was an opportunity to defend him and assaulted me. Two individuals confronted me, then attacked and while trying to defend myself the bartender and a fourth individual also attacked me. Social Club staff, outside of the bartender assaulting me, was not present to intervene. Finally, after being accosted be other customers of the bar outside, I was approached by the “manager” to be told excuses as if it was ok because they were “industry workers”.In other words go to Social Club if you prefer a place of violence in which expressing your displeasure in service may result in physical assault.
I like the outdoor patio area and there is plenty of room at this place and its upstairs/downstairs/multiple rooms/outdoor area that allows for many people to hang out here.

We went looking for a late bite to eat on a Thursday night... The steak burgers were awesome. And we played a few rounds of foosball, and pool.
Terrible pool table in main bar....despite HUGE neon sign declaring BILLIARDS down the building.....the pool room doesnt open until 7pm (this was @ 5:30pm) to my neighbor and I drinking single malt......guess you need a push up bra and a fake ID to get into the famed pool room...... And this was from the manager/owner/college drop out......the other three bartenders..... Who were VERY nice dudes and dudettes....were seemingly baffled by this new policy saying that hes been like that all day..... Hey we all have days like that.....and its not like we cant toss a rock outside and find another bar with a pool table in downtown Savannah. .........the 3 stars are for the poor service....and shabby main table...(drink spills happen in a college bar.....but at least make the darn table LEVEL.....5balls all on the side rail after the break)One scotchOne beerOne terrible tableOne terrible managerOne time trip(Worked in a bar for Many years and the IDEA is to turn customers into regulars..... One of the rowdier local bars. Definitely draws the SCAD crowd on the weekends. The real gem here is the Monday Night $2.50 bourbon and craft beer special. Oh theres a photo booth too!
Waitress wasnt very friendly at all. After I complained about an awfull tasting beer that has been expired half a year ago they just throw that one away and gave me another one. I was surprised to be charged again and complained. No positive response. Wouldnt recommend this place.
Went 2 nights in a row. Service was night and day the 2nd night. Huge selection of whiskey and bourbon. Some nights have great specials.
This place is huge and has a downstairs with pool tables. Usually a little too crowded on the weekends but its not the worst quality in a bar. Nice place to get drunk and eat some food

The food is absolutely disgusting. As for going out at night...if you are looking for a bar full of bros and everyone who went to high school together in savannah this is your place. Be prepared to face a dingy bathroom, and get a drink spilled on you.

Perfect place to end a night out. Socials has 4 bars and a nice outdoor seating area with heaters. Grab a drink and a hamburger and dont book that uber till two.
Apparently the staff hadnt been trained on customer service and the art of waiting on customers. 10 min rule. A total joke of a business. Maybe start with basic skills for these guys and work up to running a business.

This is a very popular local place to frequent downtown. Packed on the weekends, and sometimes they cook & serve food outside! Definitely go there, downstairs they have darts and billiards.
The food was amazing. The failure bowl was a hit at our table. The pulled pork Cuban and the Philly cheesesteak are also amazing.

2022-06-24This place is a bit of a hidden gem. Great late night bar food. The surfer dog was incredible and we really enjoyed the Frito pie. The vibe was very cool and the staff seemed very friendly. The fella who was working the grill was the real star though he was throwing it down. Will definitely be returning.

2022-06-26I find myself sitting in Social Club noticing a few things. Groups start here and the end here. It’s the best place to start the night and end the night. Start the the day and end the day. You can hang it on its 2nd to none liquor selection or multi-level bar area. But no….it’s the atmosphere and the staff. Hands down best bartenders in Savannah and welcoming environment. The diverse clientele mimics Savannah’s progressive style and all-inclusive atmosphere. Come one, come all, the Social Club is Savannah.

2022-04-19I went to lunch with two other friends and our kids. We sat inside. The seating area is small, especially with two busy kids. The food was very good though. It was also good atmosphere! Everyone was friendly. I will go back

The only good thing no cover and theres a lady sitting near the entrance on a stool checking ID to ensure youre of age. Personally, I will not return. Not my type of crowd, ambiance, or vibes.
