Theres only one reason I short this review 1 star. If not for other good employees, it would be a 2-star rating. Ive been raised camping and as such, have been visiting this KOA as a good 1 night stay usually on the way to the Georgia mountains and back home to Florida. Never have had an issue.A good month prior, I had made reservations for 2 individual nights. One for November 20, 2021. The other for December 8, 2021. Charged for both, as expected. Little did I know when I first arrived on Nov 20th, that somebody had put me down for October 20th instead, a day I was never there, and wouldnt have been. As a result, there were only 2 sites available due to this persons major screw up. I had paid for a full hookup. The only full hookup was not long enough for my travel trailer and truck. I had to choose the ONLY water and electric site available, of which is the most unlevel site Ive ever been on.The other staff on-site, Bob, swiftly refunded me for both November 20th and for my December 8th visit due to another staff members major screw up. He made sure, though, that I was going to have the necessary full hookup on my return trip, December 8th.Come December 8th... Check-in was perfect. I was met by the young man, Joshua, and his mother, Jessica. Joshua was a stellar assisting employee as was Bob on the prior day, and Jessica was great too on this day.I wake the next morning and discovered a new email from the KOA. It indicated I was checking out on Dec 10th, staying an extra night, and I was CHARGED. Went to the office and Bob was inside. Joshua entered soon after.Came to find out that a horrible employee, Traci (hired by the KOA owner), wrote down that I said I was staying another night. I NEVER EVEN SAW TRACI, much less was going to stay another night because I had to be back at work back in Florida on Dec 10th.Bob showed me the note that Traci wrote in a black Sharpie. It is absurd what Traci did. Joshua had even questioned when Traci said that, because he was surprised and knew I had work the next day (in Florida). Bob swiftly took care of the problem and refunded me for Tracis major mistake, and on the SAME customer. Sounds like shes been making a number of problematic mistakes. The owners of this KOA should never allow Traci to work here, again. Bob said he was going to fire her, himself. The owners should ALSO praise Bob, Jessica, and Joshua for their great work with customers/campers. I think they should get a raise and/or bonus.
Cordless KOA was nice. We made a one night reservation as a stop over as we made our way home. In typical KOA fashion the familiar A frame building was nice and clean. The camp site we had was gravel with plenty of space to pull through. There were some long term trailers on the side row still kept neat and clean. Many were temporary long term as people were working contract work apparently. The few people who worked there were really nice and accommodating. July 2021 was not a busy time at this KOA but stopping for a night was a good choice. I think everyone decides how many miles they can drive each day so if your coming or going to Florida keep this place in mind.
We stayed here to go to the balloon show during the watermelon festival 2021. The staff was excellent! The sites are spacious and the property was clean and well maintained. We had no trouble with the wifi. We did not use the bathhouses.Unfortunately, A tropical storm also decide to visit and our stay was shortened by 2 days. We decided to leave early so we didn’t get caught in the winds, they generously refunded our two nights due to the impending weather conditions. We will definitely recommend this campground and stay again if we return to this area.
Such a pleasant surprise…. We were looking for a quick overnight stay. With the cabin option at KOA Cordele, we decided it could be a perfect fit rather than doing a local hotel. I am so glad we made this choice! The air conditioning was cool, the beds were comfy and the fire pit was perfect for s’mores (even in July)! And even though it was hot outside, the cabin was under the trees enough where there was plenty of shade. The bath house was clean and my son LOVED being able to ride his scooter around and play pool with his dad in the office. Best of all though were the people that worked there… Because we were only stopping for a day, we hadn’t been very prepared with firewood, s’mores sticks or a lighter for the fire pit. When we checked in, I found the roasting sticks for a few bucks and then asked about a lighter and fire wood. She immediately asked the gentleman that was working and he said he would take care of it. We got settled in and when we came back out, he had delivered firewood to the fire pit at our cabin site, a lighter and even a lint/paper roller starter!! To say they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best night, was an under statement!
We booked this campground with our friends. They tried everything they could to get us next to each other but since we didn’t need full hookups we were across from them! Which worked out well anyway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our boys went down to the rec room and they staff let them play board games and pool. Only down side is the pool is closed because of the road being widened and the play ground is at the front entrance next to the highway. Other than that we loved our stay!
We stopped for a night while traveling north. The park needs some work. The site was muddy. The gravel was nearly gone and we were tracking in mud and sand. The grass was tall and in need of a cut. There were numerous long term rental units with junk around them. The wifi was unusable. The flys and gnats were so bad you could not stay outside. While the manager was friendly enough, it was not a welcoming atmosphere.
Absolutely wonderful!!!!!! Me, my husband, and Our babies are staying here full time until we get our house built and I can honestly say the people who work here are the sweetest, most caring, and attentive women I have ever met!!! We have traveled and worked in about 42 of the states and have never been treated so kindly. The trash is picked up multiple times a day, it is well maintained outside and in the store/front, if there is an issue it is fixed immediately. I would recommend to any and everyone!
I stayed based off the reviews and am happy that I did! This was our first stay at a KOA and we will likely return as it was clean, quiet and well taken care of. Staff was friendly and helpful, my interaction was primarily over the phone. We stayed in the water and electric area, it was a little in level, but wasn’t a big deal since we pulled in late and just wanted to sleep!
Stayed here for 6 months. Loved all the ladys in the office and Tony the maintenance man was ok but the campground needs alot of work. There was 2 sites that constantly over flowed with poop from septic. The owner was not a very nice man and constantly threatened us to shut our power and water off and did not like that my children would play outside and I could say so much more about this place but I wont go into detail. Just wasnt very happy about our experience but would come back just for the ladys in the office. Love and miss you ladys
This is an old KOA on a down hill slope.Showers are definitely not used by the owners/managers. They need a lot of work, although these appear reasonably clean. We were assigned a site that was occupied, had to go back and get another site. I had parked in a site temporarily, but was told it was reserved, no one came??2nd customer that day with this issue.Cable connection was broke, we worked on it and the screen was just OK.If we were to come back in the future, we would use the park, but I expect it will have fallen below KOA standards, if that is even that is possible. We stayed here in a 32 ft MH
We arrived late and they had our check-in stuff on the door but no way to reach them to know that ahead of time. Very old bathhouse nothing modern, drains in showers back up, very dark at night not a lot of lighting, lots of bugs, grass not mowed, so use it for power and dump but nothing more.
Easy on off and onto 75. Park was a little dirty with trash on the ground. Cable did not work, and could only use the water at our site to fill our tank since the tap leaked badly and we did not want to waste water. Electric panel was sketchy and badly corroded. Pool was closed and we did not see the bathrooms. Price is fair and it is a good spot to stop for the evening. WIFI is very limited as are most, but it is available and works well for internet browsing and email. Friendly staff.
Our initial impression is good, the staff is nice, but the pool was poorly maintained, and in need of cleaning. The sites are decent, and level, good shaded areas. Some garbage found in the area around our site from the last campers, and the electrical boxes are sketchy.
Nice, quiet stopover for 1 night. Quite a bit of space between sites. Our site was PERFECTLY level...no leveling required. Water pressure, ok. Wifi, ok. Cable hookup attachment was missing, but we were able to work around it. All in all...we would stay her again. Great price!
Ms. Connie deserves 10 stars for customer service and another 10 stars for her kind heart !!Recently me and my dog broke down (south of Cordele Exit 97) on I 75 around noon. We barely made it off the ramp and coasted into an old struck stop that apparently had been shut down for some time. After several hours at the abandoned truck stop, spent contacting family and making arrangements for a 100+ mile tow, I found the KOA campground on GPS. Me and ole faithful walked there shortly before dark and were greeted on the KOA front porch by Ms Connie. She welcomed us and let me and my dog get out of the cold! She let me charge my phone, provided my dog w a bowl of water and even offered me something to eat, while I waited on my family to arrive. My background in retail management and customer service makes me appreciate and applaud Ms Connie for going above and beyond. As a probation officer now, I appreciate and applaud Ms. Connie for her kind and trusting nature, for her hospitality when a stranger and her dog wandered onto the property and needed a temporary haven. Ms Connie is truly an asset to her employers and to all the KOA customers that she host!
Felt like we were camping in a feild. Grass was not mowed throughout the camp. No picnic table on our site. No grill....fire pit has grass growing in it. We woke up to no water throughout the camp. Could not do dishes...take a shower....needs some work to live up to he KOA legacy.
Stayed a week in a cabin. Loved it. Relaxed and swam at pool. Great shade where cabin was. Ac kept cabin cool. Slept great. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They go a step above what they need to do to make your stay enjoyable. Close to city for anything you need or things to do. Ive been traveling koas for past month and this one ranks high on my list.
Looks like a real cute place to camp. They offer tiny cabins without running water as well as campsites for tents and rv hookups. Theres a bathhouse and all the beauties of the great outdoors. Unfortunately, the lady at the front desk didnt make me feel welcome and actually referred me to a campground 2 exits down!! Not really sure why but this is my review! Good luck campers!
Cordele offers what you want in a Journey KOA. While amenities are slim and the store is not well stocked if you happen to run short on supplies, its conveniently located close to 75 and makes well for a quick stopover. We will be back as its a near perfect half way between Southwest Florida and the Smokys.
This place is worth the price! It is just off the exit, but be aware there are no stores or restaurants off this exit. You will have to go a couple down to get supplies. We rented the smaller of only two cabins they have. It actually is pretty nice. The a/c was loud but not unbearable. You need to bring your own pillows/ blankets etc. The beds were okay but not great. No TV or wi-fi so kids wont like it.The pool was very nice. Bathrooms were clean. And a little secret only for the men who read this..use the shower on the far left, It has awsome pressure . The nice lady ( Connie) at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. Even the maintenance guy was very pleasant and helped us with all we needed. Would I stay again? Yes! Would I recommend it it? Yes!
I need to preface this review by saying that there were several people there that had been evacuated due to Hurricane Matthew. I booked this reservation online. I requested a pull through site with 50 amp service. We were shown to a strange site that looked more like a driveway then it did a campsite. It did have water, electric, and cable. There was absolutely no wifi in this campground. We discovered that it was 30 amp service only. It was a very warm day and we are equipped to run two air-conditioners but could only run one. I went to the office and they told us that was the only site they had left and that they could not see the amperage request in the reservation. We used our adapter and functioned with 30 amp service as we were only staying one night. The two women at the office were really nice and tried to accommodate our request but the site was not set up to change to 50 amp service. The campground is extremely sandy and had the aforementioned gnats. This campground was very quiet and we had a good nights rest. In waking up this morning, we found that our RV was overrun by ants and not just a couple. We stopped and bought ant killer and liberally doused the coach. We will see what we have when we arrive in Florida. I cant say that I can recommend this campground based on our experience.
The 4 stars are only because of the gnats, the overabundance of gnats! Other than that, this is an excellent campground. It is clean and well maintained, the staff is very professional and courteous. There is a spacious and bright gift shop/arcade type area in the office that includes a laundromat offset. Nice pool area and shower house. We were level in our site (#28) with no need for levelling blocks, etc. Seems as if most sites have good satellite access, we were clear enough that we got our entire home Dish subscription. The WiFi is fast and steady (and they are working on getting a password protected system in place).Cant guess at how many gnats were inhaled before returning to the coach and dousing ourselves as well as hats and shirts with Deep Woods Off. So next time we stop thru, well know to have the DWO at the ready, along with beekeeper hats before we ever leave the coach.
Staff excellent, park is showing its age and needs fresh paint, great for overnights as its steps to I-75. No amenities at this exit, even truck stop has closed, but just two quick exits to food and pizza delivered to your site. Maintenance has declined past couple years but conveniently located and worth the stop. To make matters worse, this morning as we unhook I discover RV covered with those infamous Georgia ants. Grounds maintenance clearly not being done.
The campground, pool, bathhouse, and playground are old and disgusting, if not dangerous. HOWEVER, the three office staff ladies are amazing! They are extremely caring, knowledgeable and helpful. Today, in near 100 degree heat these ladies cut all the grass, used weed-eater and cleaned the playground. The owner should be ashamed of himself but count his blessings for these ladies.
The reason i put 3 is because my friend said that even though gnats are not their fault, but it significantly enjoyment. Gnats are everywhere in Southern Ga late spring through forever. When we got here last night, the site was without 110 as requested on my value member preference. We call the phone #. After 4 calls, still no staff answer phone and no on site koa host. This is the only koa Ive been to where three is no on site host. Glad there was no explosion last night. Otherwise she would come to work this morning in an empty lot.Fortunately lots of empty sites. We picked on near by with electrical outlet that worksThe bathroom had no air conditioning. Not even in the morning when the host showed up.They were apologetic and food not make us move to another site.Laundry was also close after 6 pm.
Rented a cabin for the night. Mattress overhung because its the wrong size for the frame. The cover was shredded and there were tortilla chips and food left everywhere. Obviously not cleaned or checked before we arrived. When I told the manager about it. She said she was sick and tired of her employees slacking. If this would have been my first experience with a koa I would not return.
The owner of this KOA intentionally duped us two different times. The first reservation we made we wanted their only concrete sight because our kids had been their before and made some good memories riding bikes. We called and made it known that we would only stay there if that sight could be guaranteed to us, we even payed more money for that sight. When we arrived, the office staff had not only gotten off early but they had given our sight away and put us out in a field sight that was barely long enough for our rig. Not one of there emergency phones listed were answered. When we finally complained the next morning the sweet office lady Diane said she would give a full refund and another night free so that we would come back in the future. However when we called to make good on that promise two weeks later she said the owner took it all back and would not give us a free night. Very short sighted and unprofessional to go back on your word two times and not make right your wrong by giving one free night when you could gain a faithful customers for dozens of nights in the years to come. I cant believe this place can be called a KOA with this kind of management.
These reviews are comical. Only read a few but they obviously dont know that this agricultural country and crop dusters are a common occurrence during many growing seasons. Its basically Florida without the beach. You shouldnt complain or lower rate because of the the gnats or crop dusters. This is South Georgia. Duh...uh as they say. Must be from Michigan......:)

2022-04-10Agree with the other reviews, the staff here is A++! Very nice and accommodating! Flat, level sites; ours was dirt but they have concrete pad sites too. We stayed 1 night passing through and our pull-through fit our 45ft motorhome and the F150 we tow, and we didnt have to unhook to get out (though if the campground were full, I suspect we might have had to unhook). The playground was tired, but well cared for and it looks like they were planning to repair it (fresh materials were laid out). My kids still enjoyed it after a day of being strapped into car seats. ;) I read about nearby strawberry picking fields that are in-season April-July... if we stop here again it looks like theres one less than 20 min away! Fun! Again, cant emphasize enough how friendly and nice the owner and staff are here... That makes all the difference! Thank you for your hospitality!

2022-01-23These people were incredibly accommodating to us! We were cared for after hours. Bob was so wonderful helping my 85 yr old husband and myself. He helped with fuses, heat, and did some repair work on our trailer. He even helped my husband hook up Our sway bars when we got ready to leave. We appreciate KOA here, and in the other places weve stayed. Theyve earned their good reputation and are worth every penny of their rates. Thank you again, Bob and KOA for all you did for us!

2022-03-19Quick on off from 75. Quiet. Clean bathrooms but a bit dated. Night check in was easy. Would stay again if needed for a night. Pool was not open yet on March 19, I believe it opens may 1

2021-11-28Stayed one night on our travels. The grounds are very well kept. The place is comfortable & quiet (despite the 1:30am train horns in the distance). The restrooms are clean and the showers are tiny! Its the same size as my RV shower except i have places to put my stuff that wont get wet when i shower. The staff is very friendly & accommodating & helped us when our tow car battery died! As far as KOAs go this one is the most affordable we have encountered! I Would recommend this koa! Thank you for the stay.

2021-09-05We ended up at this park following an accident on the highway that totaled our fifth wheel. The night of the accident this was the closest campground - so the tow truck driver took off our blown tire and strapped up our axle and we limped here. The staff is the shining star of this place - and they really seem to get what being in the hospitality industry is all about. They worked with us and provided support while we were going through a very hard time. Youve never seen anyone work as hard as the manager - picking up trash throughout the day, guiding new arrivals to their sites, etc. All of the ladies that work at the desk are courtesy and helpful. The laundry is super clean. They are working on fleshing out the camp store under new management - so we were able to get a few helpful items without a trip to town. There isnt much around the park - and it is aging and needs a little fresh life breathed into it. You can see the potential to be a really great campground with the right amount of TLC. We will always be grateful for how we were treated during one of the worst experiences of our lives. Sites were level and easy to navigate.

2022-06-13Very nice owners. They were extremely nice. Big lots. Great internet.
