For the amount that residents are being required to pay, it would not hurt if we did not have to hear the constant beeping from alarms that go off at 4:20 am and ring for over 6 to 8 hours. This is the 3rd time this month!!! Many of us work from home which means our clients or customers have also hearing the background noise from the alarms beeping. Maintenance staff seems to be dumbfounded by the alarms and state that it was not in their skill set. Secondly, for the past month litter leaked out of a garbage bag on the lower level when the trash crew picked up trash from the nightly trash run. It was also spilled outside of my apartment as well. I swept the litter from in front of my door. No one has bothered to clean it up on the lower level. Lately, our breezeways have been abandoned. We have two outside lights in the parking area that have not worked in over a year.
Very dissatisfied with the lack of action taken by the staff about continuous noise complaints. The police along with the curtesy officer has been called numerous times due to this problem and the office has yet to fix it. I will be breaking my lease because this has become unbearable. Please trust the reviews and for your sake dont waste your time or money moving here.
Cortland Duluth has done nothing to make my stepfathers living experience here comfortable. Our family has made sooo many complaints about the noise coming from his upstairs neighbor and its been almost 5 months and the office hasnt done anything about it. When we come to visit him its never peaceful and hes paying too much to be staying in a complex that doesnt care about their residents! Not worth it at all
Edit: I’ve moved out but my biggest complaint here is the parcel lockers! Packages come up missing all the time and amazon will not deliver to your doorstep even if you put it in the notes or complain about it. I’ve had so many packages end up not being in my locker like the delivery people say it is, that Amazon eventually blacklisted my address and told me to file a police report over a $15 electric nail file kit i did not receive. Management put cameras in the locker rooms but i doubt that will fix the issue honestly. So glad i now live in a house and don’t have to worry about parcel lockers or packages thieves! The best part of living here was maintenance, they were always prompt and fixed things properly. I moved in in December 2020 and the apartments in the area i lived in was so calm and peaceful, but within the past few months, people who play their music on full volume in their car (late night /early morning) have moved in and have compromised that peace.Original review: Just moved in this month and so far I LOOOVVVVEEEE my apartment! Finally getting around to decorating, but this place feels like home for me!
I’ve lived here before and wanted to rent again with this place again but Dominique threatened to higher my rate if I don’t provide documents and gave me less than 24 hours to do so. 1600 for smart thermostat and stainless steel unit.. a price that you can get living in the city.EDIT: so dominique called me back to address the situation. had she explained that the system is in charge in the first place and not her, i probably would’ve lived here by now but since she was very rude during our phone call, i am moving elsewhere.
Please DO NOT MOVE HERE The neighborhood management is very racist and will profile you if they feel you dnt fit in the complex and yes they will find every reason to find a issue .There’s a noise curfew from 9-9pmTheres a certain time u can throw thrash out and it’s out after that time they will fine u for passing “the thrash curfew”The gate is broken almost 75% out the month and they still go hard for feesBE PATIENT AND FIND U GUYS A HOUSEDO NOT MOVE HERE BC YOULL BE PAYING more THEn A HOUSE MORTAGE OR A BETTER LOCATION WITH BE HOSPITALITYLearn from my mistake pls do not move here , it will be the most uncomfortable n worse decision u ever made .During the day time yes everything look good but at night time it’s a whole different storyAnd mind to tell you there atleast 6 police officers that live there . Yes the neighborhood is very racist n profiling n everyday he will Harass u everyday by parking right next to your carI actually caught a officer be nosey and looking through every body car for no reasonHe will intentionally park extremely next to your car. It’s was the worse experience I ever had .And not to mentionRent is almost $2100 for nothing and I promise u it’s not worth even $1400Make sure u select ur unit throughly.
I do not live here, but I went to make a delivery here for DoorDash. When I was waiting to go into the gate, the car in front of me barely went through the gate when it came down on her car, when I went through it did the same and it would not go back up ,I had to push it back up with my hand. I know when you exit the gate it does say “we are not responsible for any damage caused by the gate”, but if the gate is defective, then yeah you kind of are.
Still I reside here & still Im (over a year later) suffering with the same issues despite begging for help . its too ridiculous to even detail our experiences as it only frustrates me more. not sure why were offered a survey as apparently all falls on deaf ears. maddening
I would not suggest moving here. They discriminate against children. They terminated my lease and blamed it om innocent children that are 3 and 8 , even though my children were on the lease and were fully aware upon me moving in 5 years ago. Rent was always on time. I even rented out the pool hall for my sons 6th birthday and they were fully aware it was a childrens party because not only did we pay $400 for the space but even some of the employees who work in the office attended the party. As a single mother i was given only 30 days to find a new home, please be mindful that i was unaware nor was i given any warnings that having children in this subdivision was an issue. I would highly recommend if you have children and are of color to look further because this complex is not it.
I have only lived here for 2 months, but Ive had nothing but a positive experience. I LOVE my apartment and its exactly what I hoped it would be. I really feel like Im home and its not often when you can say that about apartments. I must also say that Amila is simply amazing! She helped me get moved in and situated, and she always checked on me. Honestly, she still does! She is very nice, helpful, and a wonderful asset to the office staff. Maintenance is also great! I put in a request and it was addressed within 24 hours. Just wonderful! I also really love the gym. Its well maintained, clean, and has everything you need to get in a good workout. I would highly recommend this complex.
Between Friday 12/3/21 and Monday 12/6/21 my package (and probably couple dozen other packages) mysteriously disappeared from their secured locker room. Today they sent a message to the entire community saying they are aware of Parcel Pending issues and working with them to resolve it. I think they should be working with police and technicians to install security cameras not with Parcel Pending. I spoke to FedEx/UPS driver and they confirmed deliveries happened this weekend and its not their mistake. So where are all these packages? They are with someone who has the key to enter the room and another key to open lockers and steal all packages. Its not coincidence it happened right after Black Friday. It seems to me that it was planned by someone who works in the office or current/past resident with the access to the room. I understand they dont want to incriminate themselves but at least be honest with your residents and call it what it is. Asking to install cameras probably too much knowing how long its taking for them to install spray gun at a car wash instead of using that sad hose with no water pressure. If my package will be found and its not what we all think - I will gladly delete this review.
The price is not worth it. I am having an ongoing issue with the neighbors who continue to smoke on their balcony. I can literally smell the cigarette smoke while sitting in my living room because of the poor insulation. The Numerous complaints have went unresolved, I was simply told to “keep complaining” each time the smoking occurs. These people are chain smokers and I refuse to complain every single day about something that should have been resolved after a few complaints. I simply gave up and decided to break my lease, coincidentally enough this is supposed to be a smoke free community.
My move-in date was about a week ago, and Dominique was so sweet and helped me so much with this process. Her amazing personality, attentiveness, and compassion made me feel comfortable and safe. I feel like I could trust her, and Im happy to have Dominique as one of the amazing people in this community. She kept me informed with emails and calls on what steps I needed to take and answered all my questions that I had quickly. She even went out of her way to fix up stuff before my move-in day that I didnt realize was there. I really appreciate Dominique—Id give her 100 out of 5 stars if I could. There are fellow neighbors who would wave and smile at you while youre driving or walking. Also, there is an online community wall where you can connect based on interests like arts, sports, cooking, business, fitness, books, movies, etc. I havent utilized it yet, but its nice to have an option to do so. In that forum, you can also make a post if you lost/found something (e.g., keys, packages, wallet) in the neighborhood or if youd like to promote your business or sell furniture or have a workout buddy. The community seems well-maintained and welcoming—Im excited to live here!
The person I worked with was KLOE! She was super nice, helpful and kept it 100% real. She is caring and I had fun getting to know her throughout my process. She was very personable and willing to assist when problems arise. Thats what I look for in an apartment complex. Also, my apartment is very quiet and comfortable.
I had a great experience with Cortland in Duluth. Talli was extremely helpful from start to finish. Had exceptional customer service with communication and finding the right apartment unit for me. Unfortunately I now have to move to West side of Atlanta and can not live in that area. Cortland Duluth is in a great location and beat out every single apartment complex in that area. Trust me, I went to every single on of them and none of them came close. Highly recommend if you want to live on the East side of Atlanta!!
I had enjoyed the personality and the responsiveness of Kloe. She was knowledgeable about the apartments and provided serval keys pieces of information to me. The energy and hospitality I received from her was extremely appreciative and I would highly recommend someone to speaking to her about the Courtland Duluth Apartments in the near future.
It has been two weeks since moving into my apartment. Amila has made my move-in experience appreciably enjoyable. Shes warm, friendly and very professional. I am also pleased with the quick response I receive when I submit a maintenance request (minor). Amila has been great in following up on my requests. She has called me each time to make sure that the matter was taken care of. She is one of many reasons (floor plan, amenities, and beautiful complex) I chose to call Cortland Duluth my new home. I might add that I love how quiet and well maintained the complex is. My family and friends are very pleased. My dog is also happy. I highly recommend Cortland Duluth.
I have been living here for a good month now and I love my apartment! The complex is lovely. Dominique has been lovely! She is literally the best! She has checked in on me and my stay at least three times already and has been so pleasant. I had one maintenance problem, and she got it handled right away. I wanted to wait a few weeks before I write an honest review. There are a few things that bug me a little bit which is why I gave my review 4 stars instead of 5. My light switch in my bathroom doesn’t work unless I flick it up extra hard or hold it up for a second before letting it go, one of my kitchen lights went out already, there were some stains on the carpet and some paint chipped on like two doors. Also, I thought my floor plan was going to be hardware flooring bc that was the model shown to me via video on Instagram but instead it’s all carpet. Not too much of a big deal, I only dislike it bc I have a messy 2 year old. Nonetheless, customer service was/is excellent. Dominique is truly a great go to person for everything in this complex. My son and I are overall satisfied! This was our first time moving out on our own and Dominique has made the transition very reliable and overall great.
Such a nice place for the price! I was shocked when I stumbled upon this while apartment shopping but I am so happy I did! I really love my apartment and the staff is great too. Lidia is always helpful when I have questions or concerns. Maintenance always answers my requests in a timely manner as well. Cortland is a great company, as long as I rent I will definitely go with them.
Honestly, theyre great when youre trying to lease an apartment. But after living here for some time, the quality of care for the residents has significantly gone down. Sales and maintenance are the only things this complex is good at. But when an issue arises that sales & maintenance cant fix, the team that handles the residents do a less than sub par job. They dont answer their phones, they dont return voicemails, and theres a woman there named K that always has an attitude. I would not reccomend this place to others because of the lack of attention or care the resident team has for their residents.
I absolutely LOVE my apartment! The community is pretty quiet no noise complaints . Liliana is AMAZING. She is very friendly and maintenance is pretty quick with responding to orders. Every one that I have spoken with has been very friendly and they really care about the community and the people .
Excellent Customer Service is paramount for any business if they want to keep people coming back. I have to say that Ms. Liliana Trujillo is outstanding in that area. She is always friendly, helpful and has a smile. Professional, courteous and very knowledgeable is the hallmark of a great person. Ms.Trujillo has all three qualities. It makes it easier for residents when they have concerns or questions. Not only do I consider her one of the best in her field, she brings value to the property as she represents them extremely well. Many thanks, Liliana! You make living here worthwhile!!
Ok so first off...Dominique is AWESOME!!! She definitely worked her MAGIC with me! As a matter of fact...all the ladies in the office including management are awesome and also very helpful when I enter! It’s only been a month since moving in but my mental has been positively through the roof! My first apartment experience since moving to Georgia was a complete nightmare! I was finally able to move on from that once I found Cortland Duluth! Oh! And Ms. Dominique! :) When I toured the community, I felt very welcomed and knew I wanted to rest here awhile. Dominique answered all my questions and was even patient with me when I had...what I thought would be unrealistic expectations! But Yes! she magically found exactly what I described to her and truly wanted! :) A week later she called to check on me and to ensure maintenance did everything to my liking. Yes! They came quick and fixed everything same day! Never experienced that before! I don’t remember the gentleman’s name but he was very respectful and patient with my little mutt that kept barking at him while trying to work. By the way, my little mutt truly enjoys the community dog park! I don’t have issues with parking but I guess that determines where your apartment is located. Thanks Dominique! She knew I had a dog and placed me right near the doggie station. Thank you, very thoughtful! I received another call the other day to ensure everything is still going well...why yes it is... Thank you! I know about the front that some of these communities put up just to get you in...haven’t seen any of that here! The customer service received from Cortland Duluth thus far has just been a breath of fresh air for me after my last apartment community experience. They are actually trying to ensure satisfaction and I’m Totally satisfied with that at this point!
Apartment hunting during a pandemic has not been an easy task but I’m so grateful I found this hidden gem! My furry baby and I love our new apartment. Liliana has been amazing and so attentive to all my request. I had the pleasure of meeting my neighbors and they were friendly. I’m happy to call this place home!
It was awesome to go through the process of getting an apartment here I really appreciate the stuff overall for being so kind and being so consistent with their communication when it came to getting me and my daughters into an amazing awesome clean apartment. Dominique was just over the top amazing, and so very helpful.
Lidia was very kind and helpful in getting me settled into my new apartment. She had great answers to all my questions and was understanding of my situation. I moved from out of town so getting that kind of help was very comforting. Overall, I am happy to call Cortland Duluth my home. The apartments are beautiful and the community is wonderful. I plan on staying here a long time.
Update: THEY HAVE NO VALUE FOR HUMAN LIFE... DO NOT RECOMMEND::: I AM NOT HAPPY Since the change from Chelsea 88... Renovations are nice but the office has poor communication. They make false accusations and charge you a fee even when you can prove they are WRONG. Dont waste your money!
I stayed here for two years. Had the worst experience (noise) with a neighbor and the complex did nothing, they let it drag out for almost a year from my initial complaint and the issue escalated due to the office not intervening and cooling the situation. The neighborhood is decent, lots of dog owners (and poop), parking after 9pm means far away from your unit. Maintenance was always helpful and the location was great for duluth.
I toured these apartments and I absolutely loved them! Dominique was perfectly splendid. She answered all the questions i had in a professional manner, I felt very comfortable and at home already! It was a delight speaking with Dominique and getting to know a little bit about the Cortland community. I look forward to calling this place home!
I don’t leave reviews very often but I felt I needed to rave about the sweet woman who helped us tour this community. Dominique was incredibly kind to us and made us feel welcomed immediately. She made sure all of our questions were answered and made the entire process painless. Apartment hunting can be incredibly frustrating/confusing when you’re moving out for the first time but Dominique made this experience simple and did it with a smile her face.Thank you for being so kind!
Since we moved here from long Island, ny, its been great. The staff, especially Tali Jimenez have been so kind to deal with. Tali is patient, knowledgeable, helpful and just a very pleasant person to work with. This complex is clean, apartments are spacious, nice and if something you need the maintenance to do, its done very fast. Anyone looking for a place this is it.
The staff that’s employed at Cortland Duluth is phenomenal. This leasing office has been a welcome breath of fresh air. In this case we specifically worked with Ashley. I’ve been renting for some years now. That said I know exactly what I’m looking for in a leased space and I won’t hesitate to politely ask any and all questions needed to make an informed decision on where I’m living. Ashley and other members of staff accommodated my every question, and concern with efficiency, professionalism, and care. When I moved in, I had no lingering doubts that this was exactly where I wanted to reside. The process was easy, and well explained. The staff knew what they were talking about, and best of all they weren’t pushy, or careless with me as a potential resident. The community feels safe. My above neighbors are respectful, and the community is clean. If any corporate higher ups read or pay attention to these reviews, they should absolutely be paying attention to this team. Well organized, and highly recommended.
This is a terrible apartment complex. It has too many residents. No available parking at night. It smells like feces and urine because people dont properly clean after their pets. They have roach infestations. Not just big water bugs - small roaches that craw in the kitchen and bathroom. Last but not least their customer service is terrible in the office. And they charge their residents for unnecessary things. I do not recommend this place to anyone! I cant wait until my lease is up.
I moved in about 2 weeks ago and so far I love it! The move in process was seamless, all thanks to Lidia!!!! She was amazing from the day I came to tour! She was detailed and transparent, and I really feel like she had my best interest in mind. After move in, she checked on me, which was an experience I haven’t had at any other complex! She personally made sure my initial issues were fixed within my first 3-4 days and she emails pretty quickly! Lidia definitely made my experience with Cortland Duluth a memorable one so far. Thanks Lidia! You’re a rockstar!
Issue: I moved in Cortland Duluth for more than half of a year. Overall my living experience was great, but NOT SO GOOD when having a LOUD neighbor. Ive contacted the office multiple times, the staff were very friendly, however, my neighbor living BENEATH me is still playing loud music, loud enough to have my furniture vibrate with the beats. Hopefully someone will notice my review and help me solve the issue.Resolution: After back and forth communication with the office, they transfer me to another apartment in different building.
My Daughter and I moved into Cortland Duluth alittle over 1 month ago. Our leasing agent Lidia Pierre is the best our move experience was fun and very easy. Lidia walked me through the whole process with ease. We love our new home and wonderful amenities. My favorite area is the kitchen. Being a photographer I cant forget about my beautiful balcony the sunsets are amazing. If your looking for a new beautiful home contact Lidia Pierre at Cortland Duluth.
Lidia is absolutely amazing! She made me feel very comfortable in the moving process. Explained everything to me to make sure that I left with 100% understanding. Not to mention she has such amazing personality so it was easy to connect to her. I’m glad to call Cortland my new home knowing someone like Lidia will be there to assist whenever I need!
Lovely place to live.Super service and stuff! Great apartments in great area. Office stuff are vey friendly and quick to respond. Amila is the best!! She will answer any of your questions. She always greet with a smile and very helpful to your needs. I will recommend this apartments to everyone!
I was in a serious time crunch to find a place (I’m talking less than 72 hours). I called and scheduled a tour with Lidia and was greeted with the most genuine experience! Lidia was so understanding of my sense of urgency and got me approved for my unit the same day! The grounds of the complex are so well kept even down to the valet trash which I thought was a bit excessive at first but having a little one and rushing out in the morning it’s truly a convenience! While things are still opening up across the city the complex is reopening some of the amenities as well! We haven’t made it down to the one of the pools but I can see it from my unit and it looks so nice! We’ve been here for a little over two weeks and overall there are no complaints! Maintenance responds to request quickly, there aren’t any noisy neighbors, and there appears to be quite a few families and you’ll see them walking with strollers and dogs! It’s quite peaceful and I am so glad we landed here! Again, have to thank Lidia for the seamless process of getting approved and moving in! She was amazing!
I havent had the best experience apartment shopping and getting exactly what I want out of the apartment office without being haggled or small print. Lydia made all of it worth while and seamless. She needs to be at every apartment complex because her customer service was superb.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT LEASE READ!!1. they are very responsible and reply asap WHEN you apply once you BECOME tenant, they do everything slow. putting additional person in your lease? its been 2 month, its not done yet.2. Apartment bill you a utility fee. Single person pays $65 water fee.
I had such an amazing experience touring these apartments with Amila. She is so kind and professional in helping us and answer all of our questions about finding a place for my family and I to stay. Her customer service alone would make me want to lease an apartment here. She will definitely be the first person I will be asking for when we are ready to get a place. If anyone is looking here and needs help I highly recommend Amila. 5 stars
Although I didn’t settle on Cortland this property is extremely nice! The units are upgraded! The staff was very friendly and checked up on me throughout the home hunting process. I loved the gym and that they had free training! Also love the valley trash! Seemed very safe! I think you’ll love it here if you decide to call it home! I liked the East side more than the West because of the renovations. However they were spacious! Talli was extremely helpful through the process.
My name is Darryl, and I am currently going through the application process, and would like to say that the individuals within the office have been really helpful. Dominique has been a pleasure to work with! She gave a great tour of the community and has been prompt to return phone calls, text messages, and answer any questions I have had. In cases were Dominique has not been available, due to showing apartments or taking a lunch, the rest of the team have been amazing at resolving any issues or answering any questions, which I really appreciate! Talli has also gone above and beyond with helping us to get whatever needed to get us into the apartment. I am currently awaiting a final decision, and will update this once I have moved in and got settled, look forward to calling this home!Update: The move in went smooth and I am enjoying the community, it already feels like home. I would recommend Cortland Duluth to anyone looking for a great place to live.
Family member of mine moved to Atlanta recently and we have been apartment searching for him. Came across these luxury apartments and received the best service from Liliana. Very professional and informative. Thank you for all your help Liliana and Cortland Duluth, we will be sure to recommend others to your location as well.
I find it quite strange how in the past 3 and 4 weeks there’s all these 5 stars. I have had nothing but a headache since moving here since August. No one ever answers the phone, follows up on complaints, parking is out of the question. Filed a complaint on handicap through courtesy officer, called the office to follow up and said it was handled but the same vehicle didn’t get no warning and remained parked in handicap parking 6 days straight. Gate always broken, and my heat and ceiling has had multiple service requests and seem to be an ongoing thing. Definitely would not recommend to others.
I had an awesome experience here! A very friendly lady by the name of Dominique placed me in a wonderful apartment! I recommend this community to anyone that is looking for an apartment in the Duluth area! i love all my neighbors and you should definitely check this place out and ask for Dominique!
This review is solely based on my experience of interacting with Cortland Duluth organization and its staff during my apartment hunt. Unfortunately, due unavailability around my moving dates for apartments that were in my budget I wasnt able to sign a lease with them. However, I want to leave a positive review as I was very impressed with the way the Organization handles inquiries and engages with potential residents. Their website was very easy to use and setup virtual appointment, which they honored punctually. The agent that we interacted with - Amila Karajcic was professional and courteous. She answered all our questions with no haste. She was attentive to smallest of my concerns and followed up with me on them. Just based on her professional conduct I was convinced that this was going to be a good decision to move but things couldnt work out for aforementioned reason. I recommend this place.
My experience since the day I first visited this complex has been amazing! The establishment was well kept and had an abundance of great amenities. I personally enjoyed the gym because its always clean and is rarely ever too busy for me to work out. They also provided a workout class to help me keep on track with my workouts. The pool is also my favorite because it is beautiful and always kept clean! As for my apartment, I fell in love with the layout, open concept, and high ceilings! My room and closet where also a really great size which I need for all my clothes! The master bathroom was amazing just for the simple fact that it has a garden tub for those long days when I want to just soak and relax. Maintenance is great and usually come within a 24-48hr window after a request is put in! All together, living at Astor place has been an amazing experience. I have to give a huge shout out to Macey who helped with the entire process! Without her guidance and assistance with the move in process and even after moved in, my experience would not nearly have been as great! She was extremely friendly from the very first day and still continues to help with any issues or concerns I may have. Most leasing consultants lose that sense of hospitality the moment you move in because they have already made the sale with the apartment but she has remained pleasant to this day and I really appreciate her!
Lydia is amazing and so informative . Shes fast, everything was efficient , and the move in was easy. The neighborhood is quiet, my apt was clean of bugs and dust . I have one of the best experiences of living here of any apt complex I’ve ever lived in . The complex is affordable and everyone here wants to help make you stay better . The gates work and the area is clean . Thank you everyone here for being so honest, welcoming , loving , and supporting . This is great for any person that is living alone. It is a very safe environment and everyone here wants to help you .
Amila was very helpful and was always available and willing to help me solve any issues I had. She was very patient with me throughout this process. The apartment was in good condition when we moved in. From the beginning of the process Amila was able to answer all the questions I had, she was always super nice and helpful.
We are new to the neighborhood (only been here a month or so) but everything has gone great so far. Our leasing agent was Ashley Hurt & shes literally been the best. When we were first supposed to move in, our unit wasnt completely renovated yet. It needed a lot of work & wasnt going to be available for another month or so but I didnt have that kind of time because my previous lease was ending. Ashley & Henry worked with me to not only find me another unit, but kept me at the same monthly rent even though rates were going up on their website. I really appreciate customer service like that. The gym area is nice, I havent seen any bugs, & our neighbors are quiet for the most part. Looking forward to living here for a while. Make sure you ask for Ashley so she can help you have a great stay as well
My honest review is that I do love living here and in my opinion the community is very safe. I got a beautiful one bedroom apartment with tiny imperfection here and there....I did have some problems with the air conditioning system but they fixed it right away and American roaches did come into the apartment but pest control came right away. Even though pest control came... the problem with the roaches seemed worse than before..I believe they have become resistant to the bug spray they used so I went out and bought my own instead of bothering them again and the roaches went away. I was impressed with the pool and the gym theyre both great! Service requests are answered right away and the leasing office has always been very attentive and nice. They always update the residents on any changes... whether it be bad weather or the many events they have for the residents in the office. They now have front door trash pick up so thats pretty convenient. The community always looks great! I dont believe theres much wrong with Astor Place...the only reason Im leaving is because of a new job that we need to move closer to otherwise Id stay here.
I have lived in this apartment community for almost 3.5 years and has overall been a decent experience. I love the location of this complex and its proximity to 85/316. The pool and workout areas are always very clean and the grounds are always well kept. Parking is never an issue and there are always ample spots. Smaller maintenance issues are taken care of immediately, but larger maintenance issues seem to drag on. Kala is wonderful; she has helped to resolve my larger maintenance issues, is very responsive, and truly cares about the residents here. She is always friendly and goes above and beyond for this community.
The management team did an excellent job making me feel valued. From the moment I stepped inside those huge glass double doors, the staff in the leasing office made sure I understood all information pertaining to the move. I never felt overwhelmed, and each question I had regarding the application was answered quickly and clearly. After approval, Drea and Henry, sent me clear instructions/next steps to complete the move in process without any hindrances. On my move-in day, Lydia did a fantastic job giving me the layout of the property, along with the specifics of tenancy. I didn’t feel rushed to do the walk through, and she ensured no box was left unchecked. Thank you all for a great moving experience and for helping me get into my new place. Overly satisfied with the service, especially considering this is my first apartment.
Lidia is amazing!!!! She helps with everything and make the process easy. There are a few communication issues because they have 2 offices but overall easy and quick. She already had an inspection done before I arrived to write down everything that was already there before me and let me do my own inspection. The community is amazing 24 hour gym 2 floors. Year round pool. Everything Apartments wish they were!
I had the opportunity to visit The cortland duluth community a few days ago I was greeted by an excellent team they were respectful they took their time to assist me.Courteous and made me feel at home. the complex is nice and well kept spacious closets, rooms, lovely kitchen they also have car garages, gym washer and dryer connections thats a plus for me.Location is good and for the mostpart is a great Community.
Im very glad I chose to move into cortland duluth. The entire process was very easy to get approved for move in. Whats even better is that I got to work with Lidia, one of the leasing agents. From the minute I met her I knew I was going to be taken care of and she treated me like a friend and not as a customer. Best part was that on move in, she even put a little sign in my apartment welcoming me home. From there it go better as every service request I put was taken care of within a day of putting them in. 10/10 customer service!
We just moved in, but so far things have been great! Lidia made sure we were more than prepared for moving day and went the extra mile to ensure our apartment was spotless. I will say I was a bit disappointed in closet space in our unit. Based on the model we were shown my closet should be about double the size I actually have. Overall the unit is gorgeous, but small compared to others in the area.
I moved during the middle of this pandemic and didnt think it would have gone as smoothly as it has. I love my apartment and Yuri, my leasing agent was a pleasure through out my entire process. Its been a little under a month since I moved in however, I do NOT regret my decision to move. Its like night and day from where I was before. You would never know the two complexes are under the same parent company.
These apartments are simply NOT worth the money! The staff is mostly friendly, but the services you pay for & quality of the units are not up to par. I had a clogged sink that maintenance could not come fix anytime soon, which caused me to take apart the plumbing myself. I stepped on a nail that was sticking out of the floor next to the tub, & was told I could try to pull it up if I wanted to.. a nasty puffy red hole & a trip to the doctor for a tetanus shot later. I am currently sitting outside of my unit, as I got locked out (which is my fault), but the supposed “24 hr maintenance” only had someone call me back after waiting 45 minutes after my previous call, to which the man told me he lives over an hour away & I’ll need to “let him get himself together” before he can head this way... please keep in mind it’s 4:00 AM, dark outside, my car was already broken into once & I walked out around 5AM another morning to see another car being broken into.. needless to say, I don’t exactly feel safe in this “gated” community whose gates have been wide open for days & the gate does not even extend around 1 side of the leasing office to keep anyone from easily walking on site. I’ve never seen the courtesy officer who makes rounds, and the cameras on the leasing office are pointing at the ground. When I spoke to the office after witnessing the break in to another residents car, I was told that “it’s probably coming from the complex next door because it’s low income housing.” Not to mention the cheap “upgraded” finishes of carpet that’s been cleaned too many times, cabinets with obviously crooked hardware, and roaches/water bugs that come in through an improperly sealed door that allowed a nasty water substance to seep in when the breezeways were being sprayed down. The pool area looks nice, but the water is usually full of leaves. I also witnessed a worker scoop a dead bird out of the pool & simply throw it in the trash can one day, which I don’t feel is sanitary. There are worse options, but there are certainly better. I have pictures, police reports, & other documentation for anyone weary & with question. I don’t like to write bad reviews, but I have nothing but time as I approach 2+ hours waiting for this 24hr maintenance.P.S. - Many of these positive reviews are probably because you’re bombarded with messages once you move in urging to leave reviews right away. They wanted one. Here it is. :)
Drea was great and very helpful throughout the whole process. She was very welcoming and professional during the whole process, and made sure everything was explained in detail. All inspections when done and completed before we arrived and there were no delays on her part. We signed all the final paperwork and everything was ready for move in on that same day. The community is very nice and very relaxed just as described. I will definitely recommend to anyone that’s looking for an apartment in this area.
This apartment community is great. Its clean, quiet, apartments are spacious and its close to everything you need to live and enjoy life. My favorite agent at these apartments is Drea who shows that she cares and really gets situations handled. She is also a beautiful person inside and out. I highly recommend these apartments to anyone needing a place to live.
I have lived in Astor Place for four weeks now. Since I moved in, the office staff, apartment, and living experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The office staff, especially Chris, Henry, and Ashley are amazing at their jobs. They go above and beyond to make sure that you are happy here.I thought the quality of the leasing office was not that important when moving to this area, but I have come to realize that this aspect is almost as important as the apartment itself. The office staff is critical to making sure you have answers when you have questions or getting things fixed in a timely matter. As for the apartment, the rooms are spacious and the patio is beautiful. The kitchen is set up really nice and all of the equipment works very well. I would recommend getting an apartment with hardwood floors/carpet instead of one with just carpet. The water in the kitchen and bathroom flows very nicely and you can change the water temperature fast/accurately. The heating/cooling of the apartment is good too.My one suggestion is that the community should have recycling for all of the apartments. I feel bad throwing everything in the trash where it will eventually all end up in a landfill. This is not Astor Places fault, as all of the apartment complexes here do not have recycling (I know this because I visited almost all of them). I do not understand why none of them do it, because it is not costly and you can save money recycling in some cases (e.g. aluminum). Hopefully all the apartment complexes can work together to get this done and help the environment/save money.
I absolutely love my apartment and the staff at Astor Place. The people who work there are all genuinely nice. I had a problem with my refrigerator shelf, it was repaired by the time I got home from work the same day. I would recommend this complex to anybody that should ask. The best part is Im only 5 minutes from work! There are plenty of places to dine and shop around where I live so that makes it very convenient.
There are a number of things that bothered me about the application process with this property. One, they wont let you see the apartment youll be staying in before you pay for it, sign the lease, and have proof of putting all utilities in your name before move-in. The most I got was MAYBE a video tour, but it was clear that I was expected to take other peoples word for it that the apartment was is excellent condition. Two, if you dont pay attention, youll go from application to lease signing all in one go through the online platform. They dont tell you this. I stopped before signing the lease, but they also want you to sign that and pay your deposit and rent again before seeing the apartment. They may use COVID as an excuse, but theres absolutely no reason why someone shouldnt be able to see where theyre going to be living for the next year or so.Three, if you look at other Cortland properties, youll see that while they all have high ratings, it appears theyve bought good properties and are using previous rating to draw people in. Thats a common thread with the reviews at all their properties. All in all, the property is beautiful, but management is going to be what brings this place down. If I had to go through all this before signing a lease, I cant imagine what residents might be going through. Please invest your time and money elsewhere.
The management and staff have done a phenomenal job with all my service requests. Ive only been here over 3 months, but theyve paid attention to every detail of my needs and have really gone above and beyond. Outside of the service requests, they all really dedicate themselves to their responsibilities and I appreciate their thoughtfulness to each individual Ive seen them communicate with. The residents around my building are all very respectful, too, minus the occasional person coming home at 2 am on a weekend night with music blaring in their car. I think that can be expected at any apartment, though. If my thoughts change within the remainder of my lease, Ill update this review. But so far so good! I would recommend to others =)
My husband & I have lived at Astor Place since last Summer and we have nothing but great things to say about our apartment, the administrative staff, and the facilities on the premises. If ever there is a need for a maintenance request, all issues have been resolved in a professional and time worthy manner. I always feel safe, and really appreciate how personal the staff is with you in the office. Makes you really feel at home! Great place to live!
Updating my original review to - Would not recommend! This is supposed to be a non smoking community yet my neighbors smoke on their balcony, multiple times on a daily basis. I’ve made multiple complaints to the leasing office and guess what the neighbor is still smoking. I have not had the opportunity to enjoy my balcony without being subjected to second hand smoke.
The grounds are always very well kept, the staff is AMAZING, and my apartment is super cute! I submitted a maintenance request for a wobbly ceiling fan yesterday, and although it wasnt an emergency, the maintenance team has already repaired the issue. There are always fun community events going on, and my neighbors are so nice! Im satisfied with my decision to lease here, and Ill for sure be renewing when the time comes.
I visited this property today as apart of my search to find the perfect Cortland community. I had a tour with Henry and truly indeed, he was awesome! Professional and prompt with his communication and providing information at the conclusion of my tour. I received info within 10 minutes of leaving the property; which is a great thing when you want to avoid what I experienced during my visit at The Chelsea 88 (see review on their Google Page) The apartment renovations are beautiful... Cortland, overall has a great portfolio of apartment homes. It’s a plus when you are able to experience top-notch customer service too!
My experience at Astor place has been a positive one and I would definitely recommend this complex.I exhausted myself looking at different apartment complexes in the area and chose this one over the others for a few reasons. I have not regretted my choice.Out of all the complexes this seemed the most professional and my initial impression has proved true. The management team/staff are all great, and according to the online reviews on apartments, that’s rare to find. There’s always a really positive atmosphere in the leasing office and they are always eager to help. Jessica, Christie and Nicole have all been excellent. My emails are responded to almost immediately, even on holiday evenings! And when there was an issue with one of my payments going through, it was handled professionally and fairly. It is clear that the management team are always trying to improve and keep a high standard. There is a 24 hour maintenance hotline which always sends someone promptly. All the maintenance guys are really friendly and know what they’re doing. The apartments themselves are modern with updates of granite counters, garden tubs, etc. I really felt much safer knowing that all residents are required to pass a criminal background check. This was the only apartment complex I came across that had this requirement. It was also the only gated community I saw that actually always keeps its gates closed. The inbuilt security system included at no extra cost has also added to the feeling of security here. The only reason I’m leaving is to move to a house so my daughters can have a garden to play in. If I was going to stay in an apartment I would stay in this one.
I’ve been living here for two months now and could not have made a better choice. The grounds are well kept, the apartments are very clean and updated, and the staff are very nice and helpful. Hammad was the absolute best. He made sure that my look, lease, and move was taken care of on a Saturday. And from that point I’ve been greeted by name when I visit the office whether for a package pickup or question. This is a great place to live.
If you are looking for an amazing place to live in Gwinnett County, it doesnt get any better than Cortland Duluth.Liliana and everyone in the office have been extremely helpful answering all my questions and getting me through the moving process. They never make you feel like you are bothering them and they always make time to help you. There are so many positives about Cortland Duluth that Im sure if you see what they offer, you wont want to live anywhere else!
I just recently move to this complex about a month from the artisan luxury apartment and I have to say its just as good if not better. The environment is very quite, clean and maintained throughout the complex. The staff and maintainence crew do an excellent job. They are consistently professional and efficient. Furthermore the leasing office staff is always welcoming smile I matter how busy they are, especially since they are open from 8-7 which is another plus to living in this complex.
2 reviews5.0 star rating7/21/2017Ive lived here two years and it has been a wonderful experience! Felt like my home! Maintenance is always prompt and on point. No matter the request. The staff is always friendly and accommodating to your needs, questions and concerns. The landscaping is always immaculate! Ive never had any problems with bugs but the normal spider here and water bug there. I lived on the first floor so thats bound to happen no big deal at all! Never had any issues with crime or suspicious activity a very safe place to live! Hate to leave Astor but we are purchasing a home .. Thanks for the wonderful 2 year stay!!
Talli and Taundra are absolutely incredible. I am moving to Cortland Duluth from out of state and they have made my process so quick and easy. Their customer service is unmatched. From my first time contacting them right up until a few weeks before move in, they have made my move simple and enjoyable. Not only are they quick to respond, they are so kind and wonderful to work with. I cannot recommend this community enough and if I could leave more than 5 stars I would! If you are looking to move, look no further this is the most wonderful community!
I would like to say that Morgan is a phenomenal, productive and meticulous individual. She provided me with such great information, while providing a very thorough tour of the property. I am a current resident at one of the sister properties and possibly looking to transfer for transportation reasons. She took her time to go over the transfer policy and property amenities with me, so I would be able to implement a decision that meets my needs. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking to lease an apartment. She is great at what she does!! It is a beautiful property and I would definitely consider transferring!
I’m so excited and ready to move in. Dominique gave us a tour of the complex and she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. Definitely can’t wait, after she was done showing around, we knew we wanted to move here she the process so smooth and easy.
1. They NEVER answer the phone.2. I wanted to have transfer & available Floor units information and they NEVER sent information over 2 weeks so I visited office and emailed more than 4 times, they said they will send information in a timely manner but still haven’t received it yet.Also.. my lease ends at second week of Feb. so I couldn’t wait any longer, I went to the office AGAIN to get the information of Month to Month lease.. of course still NO ANSWER!!!!!!!!!3. For some reason the system disabled payment type E-check after my payment has been returned ( I have entered wrong routing#), they said the manager will call me end of the day after they reset the system, but still did not received any calls or any email.. therefore I went to the office 2 more times they also said they will waive my late fee and will contact me Asap.. but 5 days have passes already.4. They just merged Chelsea 88 and Astor Place, so system weren’t working for over a month/ also reseted my E-check information therefore I had to re enter it - got problem with my payment.Loved this community before merged.. Also wanted to stay in this apartment as long as possible. But after all that had happened.. I am very disappointed of their service.
We moved in from out of state in the midst of COVID. it wasn’t easy but Talli has made the transition incredibly smooth. She has been readily available to assist with any problem or question we may have. Weve lived in quite a few other apartments & have never encountered someone as helpful as Talli. She’s incredibly kind & welcoming.Maintenance has solved every request we’ve submitted. They make it super easy to submit maintenance request, & even have a line for emergency issues. I’m glad we may the choice to live here. While it is a humongous complex, we feel safe living here. 10/10 recommend.
Omg omg this place is so great !I’m so happy I moved here! I worked with LIDIA one of the leasing consultants . (Ask for her she is on point ) I told her what I like , price and when I was ready to move and bam!! I’m here and happy as ever ! The apartment looks exactly like the model ! ❤️❤️❤️🥰 only took 2 weeks ! I have a little 3 year old ! Feels like a safe place for her and I ! 😌
I lived here for about a year and trust me when I say this place isnt worth it! Wayy too expensive for a small space. Not to mention the service is awful. Theres always dog poop everywhere and no maintenance anywhere. I lived in the bottom floor and my ceiling had started leaking. When they repaired it they did no such thing ! It seemed for days and my floor got ruined because whoever they hired didnt do a good job. Later, they charged me double on rent because of this. I have always lived in nice apartments like these but I expect a clean and nice mannered managers. I was not impressed with their services. They toke long in assisting issues when I called several of times. This place isnt worth the money.
Pay attention to the negative reviews! This is by far the worst place to live. The drive recklessly, the front office does not care! Do not pay attention to the smoke free environment! They smokeall the time! My next post will be very long with videos and pictures. I absolutely hate it! This is my first apartment experience in 18 year and it is the most horrible experience! Joining forces with Astor Place was the second HORRIBLE... However, please do not move here, if you want peace and quiet. Save your money… I had to move from one building to the other. Due to extreme noise and this one isn’t any better. Cost me $1,000.00 just o move!! I will say this about the staff; they are a nice as they can be until you move in… The phone calls when stop, the rudeness will start. You will not get a return call, and you almost have to call from different numbers. Luckily, I have three cell phones! The staff members that I have encountered “were” nice in the beginning. They have a “Customer Experience Office” that is Lydia and that team. They are required to provide great service to gain your tenancy. Now, you have the “Resident Office” *** Lookout, here is where lack of professional continues...of ignoring calls, unexplained fees, on and on! And certainly, told not to deal with me. They have caller ID, and when they see certain resident’s number appear, they will ignore the calls. Such as mine, I am okay, with that because I can give a darn, about what anyone if think of me. I pay my rent on time every month and I demand to live in peace and quiet. I demand to keep a clean apartment and have a parking space. I have never been late in my rent, fees added unexplainable, and they think I’m going to tolerate this but my escalation of these complaint has yet to come. We will be in court! That I promise you! Charge you for things that does not make sense, and my son and family members are Accountant/Attorney’s, he can see right through this! I’m so glad my lease is up! But I want my funds returned. Maintenance guy is nice but my lights are not working, shower has gone out a third time, ceiling leaked all over my future, my car almost ran over today, construction workers that are working out if their apartment (not affiliated with this community) outside my bedroom window. They do not have permits from the county; they have reserved both garages, to carry out their business. Loud music playing, lack of parking for people with disabilities, Oh God, I can go on.My reviews are factual. I have pictures and videos to support them. They will not return your calls. As one review stated once you’re in that’s it. You’re no longer going to receive that niceness. This community is only interested in gaining your money and when you move out hurry and moving someone else in. Nothing about customer experience is here. Do not waist your money in a high cost Wreck... the GATE NEVERRRRRRRRRR works ever! That is the part that I am perplexed over, I am paying for things that I never had an opportunity to use an additional fees that would be explained as if I’m stupid! I will see you in court! But don’t pay your rent and see the ramification of that! DO NOT MOVE HERE! Again, I will upload the videos and pictures soon. This new manger Taundra can careless! This new Team can careless; with their terrible attitudes, only care about quickly moving people in and/out! They are only interested in moving people in. I am highly upset; I told the front office about an accident that almost happened with my brand new car. I ran outside with nearly nothing on under my gown! And parking that happened and nothing was done. Stating, would have them moved by end of day, I watched out my window all day, she never came over here. I knew she would not because she doesn’t like me. The corporate office will not do anything to ensure a thing as such doesn’t happen again. I am not a person; you can say words to and think that I am going to be okay! NO.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I most certainly would!!! Amila was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. Not only did she get me into the perfect apartment with everything I asked for, she also got a co-worker into his own apartment as well!! If you ever need anything here, Amila can help you with it all!! Thank you!
I read reviews for most of the apartment complexes in Duluth, Suwanee, and Lawrenceville. Astor Place had some of the best reviews so I made an appointment. We met Henry Cross, Leasing Manager, and he took us on a tour. He was super professional, pleasant, and answered all our questions. We signed a lease the next day and have been so happy with our decision. Since then we have communicated with Henry and he responds immediately. Arnez who takes care of maintenance has also been so nice and responsive to our work orders.Astor Place has great amenities, events, nice residents, and is close to everything! Great place to live!
Ive lived here for just over 6 months and I love it! The property is very well kept. The apatment features are really nice, a modern look and a very cozy feel. The office staff is hands down, the best team out there. Henry (who I believe ) is the office manager, is just awesome. Maintence is very courteous, and they always respond in a timely manner. We have community events, which adds a fun aspect to living here. 5 stars for sure.
Pros- Quiet neighborhood. Great kitchens. Excellent carpet. Beautiful hardwood floors. Bathrooms look very modern. Pool is fairly large and the area surrounding it is nice. All tenets must pass background check (no violent offenders) and most neighbors drive nice cars (my nice car doesnt stand out as a target). Great location next to Hwy 316 and I-85Cons- Parking lot needs some love. Gym is very small.Overall- Great place to live. James gives great customer service and the apartments all give off a high quality feel.
I moved to Astor Place back in April of 2016; the first month or so was great and I was happy about my decision until two months in. At this point the noise above me from my neighbors became unbearable and seemed to never end. I sent my complaints to the front office where in the beginning I had no luck but then one day, I received a follow-up from Christina (Christy) and from then on all my concerns and issues were addressed timely. She was extremely helpful, very professional and attentive to my situation. I would like to personally give her kudos!I am without a doubt a very happy tenant here at Astor Place and over all the management and staff here at this community are awesome!-Happy Tenant
Hammad M. really preformed above and beyond with his care for his possible future residents. I felt like a customer when I came in through the doors but left as a friend, family member, and as well as part of the community due to Hammads presentation of Astor Place. He excelled at what he was hired to do, and that is leasing apartments and he definitely is a friendly, funny character that is at the end not afraid to ask to close the deal as he is confident and knowledgeable in what he sells. The community itself is beautifully maintained with the pool looking beautifully clear, the fitness center has no odor and it functional for all sorts of workout and the leasing office looking and smelling great. The 48 hour service guarantee as well within Cortland Partners really is a eye catcher after Hammad had pointed it out mainly because in apartment living the apartment service request take at least a week or two to get done at best. The price looks to be worth paying for the experience you get at Cortland. The little incentives like the breakfast bar, the Elevate program, and leasing staff really set this apart from what any other competitors offer. Its great to know that when I do decide where to choose within Cortland, I will always be taken care of. This is how apartment hunting experience should be. I am locked into only getting a Cortland Partners owned community mainly because of how I was treated and what I saw.
Overall, I was very pleased with the quality of the apartment and the prompt response from maintenance whenever issues came up. It felt like home very quickly. However, violent crime in the area around the complex does occasionally make its way inside. I strongly recommend checking with local police on current trends in the area before you rent.Edit: A couple years have passed, and I feel comfortable being more specific. I had a gun to my head in their parking lot at 11 on a weeknight. The cops told me they werent surprised, which was a shock. The management (at the time, but its hopefully changed) told me crime knows no zip code and didnt send out a safety warning to residents for about two days because they wanted to run the phrasing through their corporate legal department first to cover themselves. I was so happy with the apartment itself, so managements flippant attitude about safety was upsetting to say the least. I would recommend living here, but I recommend pressing management before you move in on what theyve done to make the gated community more than an illusion. Or have money set aside for therapy?
I’ve lived here ( on the Astor place side) for a year now and I absolutely love it! I wish I could stay but the increase in rent is about $120. Maintenance gets an A+. All of my requests are usually completed within 24 hours. Any little thing I need fixed it gets done with no hassle. Bugs are not an issue thank GOD! The grounds are well kept. They’ve recently joined the two together Chelsea 88 and Astor Place. I’m not sure about Chelsea 88..but I can speak for Astor Place! It is awesome!
A great place to call home. The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to my needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . I just moved in November 6th and Lidia have been nothing but awesome these past few weeks. I love living at Astor Place and would honestly recommend to anybody.
If it were possible to give lower than 1 star, I would. I am extremely frustrated and appalled at the unprofessionalism of the associates and representatives of this complex. I tried scheduling a virtual tour via Zoom two days in a row and never received an email with the link. I have called the complex 15 times within the past two days with the leasing office giving me the number I was calling them on or simply not being able to get a hold of someone. It is evident these people do not want new tenants.
Awesome office staff, very friendly and always available. Unlike some places where they never answer the phones in the office, not here at Astor Place. And they get to know the tenants by first name. Alot of activities each month. And the only place Ive ever known that maintains the swimming pool year round. It doesnt close!!!Maintenance has answered every request I have put in since I have been here. Most of the time it was the next day, only exception is when there is a holiday. And for those who want to post about security issues. THIS IS A SAFE PLACE! I have lived here 2 years with NO issues concerning my safety. My one and only issue is the gate, I dont like the gate. Would prefer no gate at all.I could go on, but it is a great place to live.
This place used to be a great community to live in. Recently, there are too many noisy neighbors partying and bumping the speakers til 3 am in the morning. I dont know how much more I could take.. Staffs are nice, but I recently had a bad experience with a service request. Took a month for a leak to be fixed. Promised service completion dates were not kept. Very disappointed overall.
Nice place and nice apartment. The community is quiet, smoke-free, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and well-maintained. Its always gated. All of the leasing office staffs are very kind and welcome you with happy smile. I especially want to say thankyou to one of the technicians. His name is Arnez. He is a really heartwarming, down-to-earth, honest person. Whenever I request for maintenance service to fix something, he would be there on the same day and instantly fix things as if there there was no problem at all. He is really good at what he does. He also explains everything in detail if you have any question regarding apartment maintenance. It almost feels like you have trustyworthy uncle who sincerely cares about you with love. Thanks to every staffs.
I have been living at Astor place for almost five months now. I love everything about these apartments from the outstanding front staff to the residents. I havent had a bad experience yet. The community is kept up to good standards and the maintenance staff is very prompt if theres ever a problem. If anyone is interested in residing here, I suggest you talk to MS. Christina Russell! Shes the absolute best
I really love my home. We relocated to Georgia from another state and we basically became renters without ever seeing the community. We got very lucky. The community is lovely and well taken care of. I would highly recommend AstorPlace to anyone. Its a great place to live.Pros:- Apartments are spacious, updated and the floor plans make sense.- Maintenance responds quickly and they always fix (not patch) the problem!! (HUGE PLUS)- They are responsive to complaints without attitude.- Fitness classes and other community/ property events (and they are always open to ideas)- The property manager, Christina, is pretty awesome. Shes very responsive, always has a great attitude (even in the face of typical renting drama) and we appreciate her greatly, I personally feel relieved knowing that Cortland employs great people like her and it shows you that they really do care about their tenants.Cons:- The garage access area is a bit dark and Im concerned about safety.- The only reason this isnt a 5-star review is because we had some miscommunication about the garages (we were told that we could not reserve one close to our home in advance... we found out later when one became available that we could have, so our garage is located on the opposite side of our housing block - this is a safety issue for me and because of that I rarely use the garage).Wants/ Ideas:- If anyone is listening (and I know you are), Id love Aqua Aerobics Classes :0) (HINT:WINK)- We cant sell on the property (so no garage sales) but what about a free trade day were people can trade or give away things they no longer need to their neighbors.- Electronic recycling days at the property (just for the community) would be awesome- Paper Shredding Day: inviting a paper shredding company to shred important docs
I had the privilege of touring this wonderful apartment recently. Morgan was so helpful and answered any questions I had. She went above and beyond to provide great service. I was impressed by the amenities, as well as the opportunities to meet other residents while participating in community activities. The staff and community were exceptional. Thanks for everything!
*** update. Thank you Macey for your exceptional service. I had my first issue with Astor Place in regards to a miscommunication. Although, it was hectic and there was a lot of back and forth, Macey was able to come up with a reconciliation. I want you to know how much I appreciate you taking the time to see things from the residents’ perspective. Life happens, and every situation is unique. What works for one resident may not work for another. And that’s why it’s important to be a good person before any title or position you may hold. Sometimes we have to step outside our roles to come to a conclusion. (The right conclusion). No matter how large nor how small the issue may be. Customer service was the one thing I truly love and value about this place. (Previous post below)************************************************I have lived here for almost a year. And I love it more and more everyday. The staff is always friendly and calls me by name when I see them. Kala has been amazing. She always checks on me and my son to make sure everything is great! Arnez and Farid are the best maintenance guys ever ! I love this place. And I love the team! Management is engaging and cares. Thank you Kala and team. You guys really know how to deliver exceptional customer service.
I visited this community recently and it is amazing. My fiancé and I are looking for a location to stay during our home renovation and we xan definitely see this location being a place we call home during that time. The apartment was very spacious, cozy, upgraded, and in a wonderful location. The building inside & out was very clean and well kept. Whats most important to us outside of location and price is customer service and I remember Morgan being amazing! She was very informative and patient with all the questions and concerns we had. I give this location 5 stars. We havent made our final decision yet as we have not started our renovation yet but I will definitely be sharing with friends, family, and co-workers about this community.
The leasing office is very attentive and concerned with resident satisfaction. They have great events throughout the month from painting classes to cooking classes. The fitness classes are really good also! The community is quiet and clean. Its overall a great place to live.
I moved in a few months ago and Henry has held my hand every inch of the way. He is such a professional and a even better people person. He has assisted me with my maintenance request, mail box key issues, the residence portal and much more. I remember he was even willing to bring me my keys after hours on my move in date. He is truly a treasure!
Looking forward to spending my time at Astor place. As soon as me and my roommate walked into the leasing office we were kindly greeted by Henry who offered us a coffee!! These apartments are very well kept. They have everything and more than what we were looking for in a place to call home.
Hammad was fantastic! He was very hospitable and knowledgeable about the apartments. I fell in love with the area when I saw it. These apartments looks amazing! My goal today was to find a potential place when I move in October, and Astor Place has definitely taken the cake!
I loveeeee everything about the Cortland apartments! Not only are the apartments elegant and beautiful but also the staff is outstanding, Dominique showed me around and not only does she know what she’s talking about she did it in a manner that was professional and pleasing!! I can’t wait to live here!!
Lidia keep up the energy that you have! I haven’t met Lidia but spoken to her for a week and she is most energetic, professional along with friendly person I’ve ever talked to without meeting them. She understood my requirements and went beyond trying to help me and find me what I’m looking for. Thank you. The complex and prices are amazing.
I HATE living here! the Staff is extremely unprofessional! ive called the office multiple times and have left multiple voicemails and no has responded. i am calling because i actually need to talk to a live person that seats in the leasing office. but no one seems to have the time of day! The Gate is almost always open! I am so happy to be moving out next month. sad thing is that my cousin wants to move to this Godforsaken apartment because its close to her job, but id rather her stay anywhere else.there are plenty of other apartments nearby.PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. THEY ARE ALL TRUE! THE STAFF IS EXTREMELY NICE WHEN YOURE IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING IN. once the window to cancel your lease is over, their true colors come out, because youre now locked in. I am so happy to be leaving at the end of February!
I love living at Astor Place! The staff, (Christy in particular), is always helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure our needs are met. The complex is always well maintained and clean, which is something I greatly appreciate. Located near major highways 85 and 316, close to dining, entertainment and grocery stores, I couldnt have chosen a better location. Im so happy with my apartment! Thank you!
Just moved in here and DREA made the process amazing! Anything that we needed Drea has been here helpful as ever no matter the million calls I placed. Drea did a great job of making sure our unit was ready for us and in perfect condition. Was able to apply and get moved in all within a week. The property is well maintained, quiet, and so diverse! Great deal for condition of units and the pricing! Would definitely recommend to anybody looking to live in this area!
This is my second year here and l love the community. The complex is always very clean and well maintained. The staff here is awesome. Christina is always courteous and will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. She always calls me by name and that to me means a lot. I also have to say that Astor Place has the best maintenance team around.
The staff is very good at this complex. They are professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I lived there in 2015 and enjoyed my time but decided to move for other reasons. The pool and gym are very nice and I took advantage of both. The apartments are about average but they are some of the very few in the area that have cherry wood cabinets and granite counter tops. The biggest downside of this community is the other residents, tons of noise, kids and adults playing soccer on very small patches of grass and the whole environment is a bit ghetto and not really that secure. The gate routinely breaks down and goes out of service for days or weeks. You can probably do a little bit better in Duluth-Lawrenceville but certainly you can do a lot worse. Biggest kudos go to the management and staff which was always responsive. Be careful in subsequent years as they will try and stick it to you on the rent.
Let me start by saying the apartments here are very nice. James Wright has great follow up skills and when I was at my wits end trying to find the right location at a fair price, he came through for me. He picked the perfect nice 2 bedroom in a very quiet building with a patio facing the woods. The price was great and he knew it would go quick! James is very professional, kind and always accessible for questions. Thank you James for everything you do and did for me!
My initial experience here was great Samantha was super sweet and kind unfortionaly for me she got promoted during the time I viewed my apartment to the signing of my lease however the transition was very smooth Henry picked right up where she left off and didnt stop a beat he made every effort to make sure all info was received and even caught a few things that slipped through the cracks. The staff on the leasing office are easy to deal with from what Ive noticed so far. I move in on the 7th so we will see how that goes as well. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾. But so far so good!
By far the best experience. I just moved back to Atlanta From Charleston. I lived in the buckhead area so I knew very little of the Duluth area. I chose that side of town so I could be closer to work. I have had 17 apartment viewing and was VERY dissatisfied with the unit and or Staff. I only inquired online about Astor Place. Stefani contacted me and stayed in touch with me to work with the budget I was wanting to pay. She had an offer I couldn’t refuse. The way she kept in contact with my needs and wants made me feel like she cared. We spoke on the phone very briefly. she let me know in so many words that I would love it there and will feel at home. So I trusted her and put down a deposit and app fee BEFORE looking at the property. Well I looked at it 3 days later and fell in love with the property and the staff. (Stefani, Alisha, and Macey are rockstars and QUICK)Update:After living here worst experience thus far. I will leave a nice list for y’all to review why not to live move here. FYI: keep all documents of everything. 0 stars
Good Genuine customer Service is extremely hard to come by these day. I would like to give a special thanks to Kala Janifer for an extraordinary touring experience and going the extra mile, making sure all of my needs and concerns didnt go unanswered. Im new to the area and although the location is a little further out than I liked. Ms. Janifer kindness and hospitality made me reconsider my decision. If you guys treat residents anything like Kala did, I would like to be a resident here!
I dont usually post reviews, however I received the BEST customer service at Astor Place Apts by Cortland that its a must that I share this jewel with anyone searching for an apt. The location is perfect for work and the beautiful hardwood floors and granite counter makes it an easy yes from me. Most importantly, the customer service was outstanding. I was greeted immediately, given a world class tour( with snacks) and the staff made it feel like home. Dont believe me? Go check them out for yourselves. You wont regret it. Im soooo excited to get my keys.
Very interesting staff selection. Suggestion to Astor management: really think about who youre hiring because they represent your brand/company and can lose you money. We stopped by to view an apartment on a lightly rainy day. The only person in the office was a woman who said she cant take the electric golf cart out to show us the 1 bedroom. I asked if we could walk and she said I cant.We left baffled, and I realized I forgot to ask her for her name for none of the help she gave us. I called in less than 2 minutes of leaving...and she didnt answer the phone - both times I rang. Thanks for confirming so quickly how tenants would be treated if we had moved in at Astor. (Id try other Cortland locations)
In our first week, I received great service from Henry and Ashley. Id especially like to shout out Henry for giving me his own gate card when mine wouldnt work. When it comes to maintenance and service requests, Arnez is the guy. Cant say much about the rest of the team, and I am not trying to speak lower of them. But Arnez always solves our problems in a quick and effective manner. He is kind, friendly and always willing to help with other problems that may not have been listed in your service request, talk about going above and beyond! If you need your apartment serviced for anything, Arnez is the guy. Hes very knowledgeable. Now onto the bad, when it comes ro the 48 rent-free service request policy, be warned: its actually 72 hours. They dont tell you this but, technically after 48 hours of your service request going unsolved, you then have to email the office and then if they dont reply for an additional 24 hours, thats when the rent free time window opens. Other than that, the community is chill, nice and quiet. We have had a few issies with cops being in our building but I guess that should make us feel safe? All in all, decent experience so far.
I have lived here at Astor Place for almost 3 years. I have found this to be a peaceful place to live. The staff is easily accessible and prompt whenever there is a concern or problem. They are cheerful and always willing and eager to solve whatever the problem is. The community is essentially safe and clean. It has met all of my expectations for an apartment community, and then some. It is pricey, but I guess one gets what one pays for.
The devil and these acolytes direct this place! those girls who works in this leasing office are very rude. For the little story! I made an application for an apartment on the 26-11-2018 today is 20-01-2019, the application was rejected for lack of evidence. they did not refund me the application fees. I was at the office 5 times for my refund. the first she tells me that the check was sent to my old address. which is not true i was given her my new address without even having time to take the new address she told me I have to wait 1 month to receive the check! I ask her if there is no other solution she says no with a mocking tone. I left, after a month she promised me that she will send me the check by the end of the week. I call them to tell them that I have not received the check she finally told me to come get the check at their office. I come back to their office after a week they tell me the person who is charged to do the check is not available on this time she will leave an email for her. she gives me her card. I call the number they told me she got meeting right now; for my check they tell me to come back the end of the week I come back on Friday the same girl who told me to come back on Friday was sitting in the office saw me talking with samanhta without even taking time to meet me , she was talking about me to her girlfriend, who turned to look at me sometime. I realized that she was in bad faith, arrogant and disrespectful. I told Samantha tell them I do not need this money anymore they made me waste my time I came to this office 5 times Im tired, they do not have value for my time I leave my money and the time he made me lose to God meanwhile this fool comes out of the office with a swelling air like a bush toad to give me some explanations again!! I went out without saying a word ... she called me on the phone to tell me nonsense. without saying a word I hang up the phone. Samantha was the only one who could talk to me nicely. this money was intended for a fundraising campaign for despised and orphaned children. for every dollar they owe me, which was to be used by this children, i hope for them to pay him a high price throughout their career! and the time that it has made me lose I hope they lose the double! Amen! I do need an apology from the owner ... this was my worst experience with the leasing office! Do not contact me!
Great Day!I am writing this review to inform potential residents that I enjoy living in this community. When my husband and I first attempted to move here, there were a few hiccups but they were corrected by the staff. Everything doesnt always go according to plan but the efforts of correcting the mistakes were what made us still proceed with moving to this community. I love the design and open layout of our apartment. I am giving four stars because there is always room for improvement with security and noise levels at times. Other than those reasons, I enjoy calling Astor Place my home:).
While the apartment is fine, after living here for only a month its not at all been a nice experience. After a string of peoples cars getting looted, our first apartment getting flooded and the office being slow to help us, and now our car was scratched. When we asked if there were cameras they responded by saying that only the front was covered. Not a single camera where anyone lives. Some people at the office try to help but whether its them or corporate not much has been done to make any of this easier.
Cortland Duluth lists Smoke-Free Cortland Community as one of the Community Amenities, but this is not the case. Whenever someone smokes in the same building, the smoke enters your unit through the vents, so you can not use the heating or the dryer without smelling smoke. Ive had this problem for several months while living at this community, but the management continued pushing aside my concerns. I tried calling, emailing, submitting requests online, and speaking in person, but I was either ignored or told that the concern requires further evaluation. The only solutions they gave me were to move or to wait it out, both of which were at my expense.Update: The smoker ended up moving before the eviction process, so he or she was able to break the contract for half a year with no consequences. The management did not offer any compensation.
As soon as I walked in I was greeted by an extremely personalable but professionally leasing agent by the name of Macey Shonyo. I expressed to her how nervous I was about leasing because this would be my very first apartment. Her knowledge on the property as well as great personality made me feel very comfortable about making this my new home! She provided me with so much information as well as advice. The property was beautiful and the leasing office/agent was the icing on the cake. I look forward to calling Astor Place my new home.
Astor Place is the best place to live in Duluth, GA and I’m going to tell you the top 3 reasons why: (1) The office staff, specifically Terry Davis, are professional, swift to help in anyway, and are very knowledgeable and organized. (2) Maintenance is always available and thourough. (3) They offer an experience from the time you move in to the time you move out. This is honestly one of the best choices I’ve made in my life! Move to Astor Place you won’t be disappointed.
Henry has been one of the most consistent people at the apartment complex. He is warm, inviting, and compassionate about everyone in the complex. His follow up, staying later and observation of client needs is beyond measure. Thank you Henry for being a huge part of my renewal!!!!I wanted to add this to my review since I can not add another review at this time. I also increased my rating to a five star. Yesterday afternoon our air went out in our apartment. There has been a heat wave in Georgia over the past week. I called maintenance and they put in a ticket, however the air was still out and had a reached a high of 90 degrees in the house. My son walked in and immediately started to wheeze, cough, and have trouble breathing. We then called the after hours line and explained the situation and my sons medical condition. After turning on the fans, ice packs on his back and a cool bath..we hear a knock. (It’s about 845-9p) We thought is was the tv so we didn’t move but then we heard it again. When I opened the door there was the maintenance supervisor, who left his home and family to take care of mine. It meant so much to me because he was kind, efficient, understanding and professional. I wish he would have left his name but I will call the office because his service saved me a trip to the e.r. Thank you so much.
Worst apartment community I have ever lived at.The worst scum of the earth lives here; totally uncivilized. I have now had two Amazon packages stolen from the front door to my apartment. Missed accidents in the parking lot due to residents that have no respect for rules and regulations. A hugely understaffed leasing office. In total, avoid this place at all costs. And did I mention the cockroach infestations that are uncontrollable, and the gunfire over by the walking trail every single night between 9 PM and 10 PM?
Macey and the Astor place staff were great with my move in. Macey helped me a lot with my start up process and with the problems I had at the beginning. There were some bugs in my apartment at first but after a couple weeks of treatments they are all gone. This was done swiftly and professionally handled. I love my apartment and the staff there. They are very welcoming. Macey is the best tho.
The floors are paper thin as well as the walls feels like you have absolutely no privacy in the place your paying to stay at! The leasing office people and neighbors are constantly complaining and in your business until you feel like you dont belong there and they say that they can evict you at anytime they please! was very displeased with my experience I feel like if I pay my monthly bills on time and I dont bother no one then leave me alone while Im in the comfort of my own home Im at the point of almost breaking my lease because there is absolutely NO PRIVACY AT ALL!
I would like to thank Hammad at the Astor place by Cortland For making our visit on Saturday a great experience. Hammad was very informative on the community which help me make my decision on my next move.Thank you Hammad see you soon on my signing.my only problem was before I left my tour I saw the young people that hang around that do not live there, and it looks like they need to upgrade the lights outside to feel safe and clean the grounds out sides if they do that I would of moved there today :(
Im moving when my lease is up. I hate when apartments have pool restrictions on the amount of guest you can have. Ive been living here over 4 years and recently they changed the pool rules. Now you can only have two guest. I moved here from Wesley Herrington due to their pool rules and having them interrupting me and my guest while we are trying to relax at the pool to show a pool pass. This type of rule makes me feel like Im not trusted to be a responsible adult at the pool where I am paying rent. I pay to much in rent for this type of treatment. I usually have my brother 3 kids over for one week out of the summer and its crazy that I pay over $1000 a month for a one bedroom and to have to find a pool to take them to when they are here. These apartments officially suck. Hopefully the newer apartments in the area dont have these rules.
I had an earlier experience with the staff at Astor Place and after viewing other properties in the area, I decided to make a follow up visit to Astor. That was a very wise decision. I was fortunate to meet with Macey on both occasions and was very impressed with her professionalism and knowledge. She was very sensitive to my family needs and made it clear that that my goals would be met at Astor. We intend to lease as soon as our current lease allows. Thanks Macey!!
What more is there to say, living in this community is amazing. You really get your moneys worth and the staff is spectacular. Its about the personal service they deliver and the extra mile people like Morgan take to make us feel like they value our business. There are a lot of places to live in the Atlanta metro area but this place feels like Home!
Pretty good neighborhood. Lived here almost a year now. Had a couple of break ins but they installed more security even placed patrol cars for safety. The management team is great. Only down side is my neighbors at first were great but new people came in and they are loud.
This is the most amazing community in all of Gwinnett County! Morgan, Macey, and Kala were so helpful and attentive throughout my whole move-in process. The office staff is full of lively leasing professionals. Not to mention the community and apartments are clean, cozy and welcoming! Come check them out!
The staff is professional and courteous. The community is always kept clean and theyve continued to add new services and features over the years Ive been here to make living here a better experience more and more. Maintenance requests are usually handled between 24 to 48 hours.
Im currently apartment shopping and this was a contender but after reading these reviews im not sure what to think. I have to weigh out my options because im not too fond of bugs and im not too fond of rudeness and if im paying $1300 for an apartment I would hope that Its clean, safe and professional.Follow-up: I finally went and toured the facility and I must say it was nice and clean and the prices were not that bad but since I posted my last review I see someone posted about having a gun pointed at her head at 11pm at night which is scary because I tend to come home late and I couldnt imagine something like that happening to me. So my question is how has Astor Place changed their security measures?
I wanted to share my experience as I normally would never take this route but I felt you should be aware. I moved to the Astor Place apartments in August 2014. I must say this was a beautiful property with a very nice and professional team (Jacob was the person I dealt with and he was amazing). I moved in as a result of very bad family situation so I had to find something quick and fast. I didn’t consider the distance to work. With me working downtown it took about 1 hour and 15 min to get to work each day each way. Nevertheless, I stayed and paid my rent on time with no complaints nor issues. In the month of July 2015, my job changed my schedule which would further have me dealing with more traffic issues so I decided to seek other living options. I looked at the Pointe at Lenox Park, I fell in love with the staff (Jalisa was so friendly and welcoming). So I decided to end my lease for July 31st at Astor Place, of which my lease ends at Astor Place on August 17. I spoke with Astor Place team and the direction from Denise (the manager)they informed me that I would still have to pay a $300 transfer fee even though it was only 17 days left in my lease term. I was floored as I was moving to a sister property. WOW!!! This was shocking. So as I knew I would be paying over $1000 during my move out time to move to the Pointe at Lenox Park. I asked, can I pay the $300 on August 7th as this was a pay day for me? Denise quickly said no as one her team members asked. This was extremely frustrated as I will already have a water bill to pay from Astor Place and I am moving to a sister property, there was no way I could leave this unpaid. Even checking my history would show I always pay. So on my move out date on July 31, I went to the office to speak with Denise. She was very uninviting and simply rude and ready to debate. I informed her that my reason for speaking with her was I wanted to speak with her before I take the step of going to corporate. She stated continuously, this is a policy “paying before you vacate the property is policy & paying transfer fee regardless of sister property nor 17 days from lease ending date is policy”. I have been working as a Manager in hotels for over 5 years. I truly understand how policy works and I do understand that policies are not consistent depending on the person. Individuals have hardships that causes changes in their life and have to make decisions. Paying was not the biggest issues for me but they fact she wouldn’t let me pay 1 week later and I will be at a sister property really disappointed me to the core.I thank God that the Pointe at Lenox Park team is so amazing and accommodating and they are the reason the move in got better. I have plenty of friends who saw my apartment at Astor Place and fell in love with and some will be moving in the area soon. It disappoints me to give a bad review on such a great place, but Denise (the manager) is not fit for such a great property.
This is my second time residing at Astor Place. I can say the staff and maintenance are great, however, the security gate was often left open and I came out one morning and my vehicle was sitting on bricks. All four of my wheels/rims had been stolen. The office did not cooperate by viewing the surveillance footage to see if another truck, van, vehicle left with rims they didnt come in with. The only other complaint is the noise above me, but nothing can be done because its caused by two large animals, so as a nonpet owner, I cant fully enjoy my stay in my apartment on the days that I am off. It is a bit pricey also for a 1 bed/1 bath.

2022-03-11I had a quick move in because I had to find something immediately. I haven’t lived in an apartment in over 9 years. Dominique was extremely helpful and she was also empathetic to my situation due to me having a very emotional move. She went above and beyond and made sure my move was smooth. I literally was approved within 24-48 hours and was able to move in the following day. Communication was amazing. Chloe was also very helpful and made the impossible, possible. I would recommend this complex to anyone. The apartments are also very nice. I have a sectional that could barely fit in the townhome I moved from and surprisingly it fit with even more room. Thank you so much, Dominique for being patient with me during this bittersweet move. My son loves it here.

2022-06-03Moved in February 2022 & Dominique has made my entire experience here easy! Very supportive and attentive to my needs. On time with any request I have. Friendly energy with all the employees here at Cortland Duluth. The rent here is very much worth the quality apartment home, amenities and perks! Chill community! If you’re hesitating on renting here… don’t hesitate! Very much worth it :)

2022-01-27The move in process what a breeze. Dominique was very professional and efficient when it came to the application and move in process. Definitely 5 stars for the Dominique and the office staff. Also, 5 stars for the maintenance staff. They always respond same day to requests and finish the job within 2-3 days. The reason I gave 4 stars overall is because of the neighbors above me. They constantly are smoking and screaming on their balcony. Also, it sounds like a family of gorillas are jumping around above us all day and night. I’ve made the office aware, and they did send a notice, but it has yet to improve.

2022-02-06So I moved into Cortland Duluth after the merger. I will say this…. The staff are on the leasing side is great and I’ve only encounter two young ladies on the resident side and they are also great. Since living here now I’ve encountered some issue that was handled accordingly but there are some thing that could be better… For instance the parking is horrible and if you come home after maybe 6 or 7 there is no parking witch will result in you parking far away from your building. I have noisy neighbors but you sign up for that when you’re in an apartment, so I can get passed that plus it’s not all the be time. Communication could be better and the answering of the phones on the resident side because that is annoying! NOW…. Fast fwd to the present and it’s time to renew the lease. I figured it was going to go up maybe $100-$150 but it took a significant price jump… let’s just say the mortgage on a house is cheaper, and now I have no choice but to renew because you get hit with all kinds of fees when you try and break the lease…when the unit is not worth what is being asked at all… it’s ridiculous to say the least. I also have a issue with valet trash and being charged $25… basically I’m/we ( residents) are being charged to cover the price CORTLAND is paying to have this service done and I didn’t ask for it and can’t opt out of….I can honestly take my own trash to the dumpster… I have to do it anyway on the weekends. Then you want to charge a fee if trash is sat out before 5pm, that’s crazy! Make it make sense please.

2022-04-05Don’t live here. I’ve only been here for less than a year and it problem after problem after problem. When we moved in, our AC was broken so our apartment was incredibly hot. The AC has broken down several times since then. Several things in our apartment are broken as well and were broken when we moved in. They’ve been doing construction on the roof and the construction workers are messy, rude, and have created dangerous situations. Walking down from the stairs of my apartment one of the construction workers threw something off of the roof and nearly hit me. They’ve also left messes everywhere including nails in the parking lot. And now, to top it all off, MY ROOF IS LEAKING. the construction workers are UNPROFESSIONAL. They did not properly seal whatever they were working on and my roof is leaking into my living room and closet. This is unacceptable and for the most part, maintainence is unhelpful and don’t speak English very well. If you love yourself and whoever you want to live with, don’t move here.

2021-12-03I have been living here for a while and my experience here has been wonderful. The property is big and beautiful with great amenities. I am definitely going to renew my lease for an additional 2 years. Also big thanks to Lilliana for being so helpful and professional. She and the whole staff always make me feel welcome and they resolve each and every concern. Happy to call Cortland Duluth my home!

2022-04-18Dominique and the staff at Courtland have made my move in experience pleasant. I appreciate their prompt nature when dealing with any issues I may have had. Everyone is very friendly and you can tell they take pride in what they do. I am excited that this is my new home.

2022-06-14I hate they got rid of their 48 hour maintenance guarantee because now things will never get fixed timely(been waiting over a week now while my room lights are completely out). And when things do get fixed, they are cheap/temporary fixes. For the amount of money we pay, Cortland should do better. My renewal was $300 more this year (you can ask for help with renewal amount but they’ll just tell you nothing can be done) but things have gotten worse….

2022-03-18I recently moved here two weeks ago. So far my experience here has been great. My leasing consultant, Dominique was great to work with. She is very courteous, kind, and it showed in every phone call, text, or email we communicated through. I must give credit to Cortland Duluths staff, both those in the office, and maintenance. Any time my leasing consultant was out of the office, every staff member who answered the phone helped me with whatever I needed. Also, my move-in staff member, Talli is absolutely amazing!!!! Talli helped me so much during my move-in appt, and was attentive to any concern I had while moving in.I will say that I have had a few maintenance issues since I moved in, but Cortland Duluths maintenance staff has been on it! They are quick and take care of what needs to be adjusted or fixed. They either come the same day I call, or the next day. They are great!

2022-06-22I want to share my experience with Cortland Duluth. I was in search of apartment hunting and when I came across this complex website, I was wowed with their renovated home and floor plans. The amount of details put on their website, along with other peoples positive feedback helped me make a decision to apply at Cortland Duluth. Immediately after doing that about a day later I had Dominique Rosa reach out and help me with my application. When I say she has been there from beginning to end even after I moved in to my apartment she hasn’t let go. She is so punctual and efficient when it comes to customer service. She communicated every step of the process and followed up every time even just to say hey I am still working with your application was so good to just hear that and not be left in the dark. I was able to get my application approved and a move in date of 4/15 and it was a matter of a week or so that I submitted my application. The speed work and efficiency of her customer service has been amazing. After I moved in their was some minor changes that the apartment needed and Dominique jump on it and made sure matter was taken care off. Even though the frustration of not being able to move in on the date given. Dominique and Cortland Duluth made it up and took responsibility on their behalf. No place will be perfect or meet the standards you expect. But Cortland Duluth has an amazing person who makes your experience living there worth it. Being able to get taken care off is the best feeling ever. I highly recommend this location and place. Neighborhood is safe, quiet, clean, and in the 2 months and a half that I been living here. I can’t complain of feeling unsafe. That’s how you know that people who chose to live here respect others space and are responsible people. So far my stay has been great and I can’t express any more but thanks to Dominique my stay here has been positive despite the inconvenience I experienced she made me feel important enough to be heard and made sure to get matters resolved.
