Dean, the manager, is rude and inconsiderate! I purchased a go-cart from them two weeks ago and the muffler have fallen off. Prior to it falling off I had an issue with the go-cart pulling on a flat surface. I’ve contacted the retailer each on both occasions so finally I asked to exchange the go cart. Dean bluntly said, “no refund.” He cares less about how he talks or treat his customers. The mechanics are extremely nice but the management is awful!!!
Disagree with other negative reviews. They will let you know the terms ahead however things happen. These bikes are really affordable and give people a chance to have fun and be mobile. They offer service if u have issues as well. I purchase wholesale scooters from them for years. Good company, great mechanics and service.
!!!Warning!!! Just like the other complaints the scooter it doesnt work properly. TRIED TO GET INSURANCE AND TAG AND WAS TOLD BY THE TAG OFFICE AND MY INSURANCE CO that this company dont have business license and was told by my insurance co that the VIN # was fake on my title and that I cant insure it. I was told by both companies that I need to file a complaint with the secretary of state.
I don’t usually leave reviews but this place was awesome! Employees here was so friendly and helpful. We had a time constraint and they were able to finish the repair on my scooter very quickly.
Never buy anything here, does not work properly. I bought an scooter 2 weeks ago and I almost got crashed because it shut down in thw middle of the street it has happened several times. Fixing to get my money back. They say there is no devolution
I buy scooters from Cougar every week. Many of them! If I have a problem, they take care of my problem. Cougar is not a manufacturer of scooters! They purchase from the manufacturers, import, assemble and sell retail or wholesale or sell in the box un-assembled to dealers and the public.I sell their scooters to the public also and if I have a problem with a scooter or other item I purchased from them, if I cant fix it, they help me fix it! Period!Unlike Yamaha or Honda, China manufacturers dont give a warranty on any items. That is the drawback to purchasing low cost mopeds or other items.The people giving low ratings are all ridiculous! Most items are $800 to $1000. You would pay 3 to 5 times that much if it had Honda or Vespa or Yamaha written on them!Dont expect a $4000 to $5000 scooter or ATV if you only paid $800 for it! Grow up people!
Got a T-Rex125cc from this guys. Put it together my self. Had issues that are not covered by the warranty. Came back and got a five star treatment. These guys really do stand buy their product. Just like it says on their site.
Warning!!! Do not ever buy a scooter, motorcycle, ATV or anything from these people they wil screw you over in a heartbeat! Their products are a piece of crap and they wont honor their warranty.. and if they do you will end up paying for something when all is said and done and it wont be cheap. The owner is rude, lies and doesnt give a crap about your stuff.
I dissagree with the previous reviews! We are a dealer in St. Pete Fl and have been dealing with them for about 6 months now and they been good. If they do make an error (we are all human! It happens) they fix it right away, but doesnt happen often.

Dean was awesome. He explained everything and had one of his employees show us how to operate it plus strap it to our trailer. They have me as a repeat customer for life.
They are cons!!! They charge extra for things for no reason. My Scooter should be fast but I ride like a senior!!! Dnt go here I hate I did!!!! And they dnt honor there warranty!!!!!
All I can say is don’t buy from anything from them, it only runs a few times then never works the don’t repair either. Don’t waste your money.

Sketchy as hell. The owner lied to me about the law. Plus his sales person quoted me the wrong price, causing a hell of a drive for me to be worthless. Avoid this place. Seriously.
The hours are incorrect. Wasted my time and my gas going to a place that wasn’t even open when google specifically said it would be.
Rude owner. Makes up prices and over charges. Quoted $12 charged $21 by the owner. No returns on parts.

2020-09-16I drove for more than 25 minutes. Since some motorcycles shops if you search for it in google give you information if they are closed or open and this only announces you Open from 9 am to 6 pm M-F and when I arrives they have a paper that says We are closed to the public 🙄and it looks like a closed place It is almost empty inside they only have a couple of desks and there are people inside and some business cards stuck on the door, in case you are interested, talk to someone of them and I call that number and the gentleman told me to He attended that it arrived in 15 minutes. and he did arrive but he told me WAIT FOR ME A MOMENT and that moment lasted 35 minutes. and I couldnt wait any longer, I had to go back to my work. But on another occasion I will call that direct number or I will go with more time or I will not return. I do not know. Good luck to all of you.

2021-06-04I Now Have Just read the reviews on this place but fortunately I not had a bad experience I must say. I did go there at one of Saturday and they were closed and I did expect them to be open because most shops are open on Saturdays however there was a number on the door to call for retail sales and I called it and the gentleman explained that they are not open on Saturdays At the moment in bed it was going to be updated on Google but also asked if I could meet on Monday which is I did and Marty had taken great care of me and I absolutely loved the way he explained everything to me and even when I had questions after the sale he answered them and to be honest the rest of the staff was pretty friendly as well. 2021-10-13I called the store on 10.12.21 and spoke to the Mgr. Dean. I was looking to purchase a 4 seater Go Kart. Dean could hardly understand me and couldnt answer specific questions about the product I wanted to purchase. He was so confused He hung up the phone. When I called him back he told me he didnt want to sell me anything. Is this how you treat a paying customer. Please do not buy anything from these guys.

2020-12-05Got a cycle for Christmas 2019. Ran it 2x and it would not run as it should and stalled. Took in for tweaking. Then it lasted a month. Service department is not taking service (since April 8th-December 2020). Recommended another place to fix it. $350 in repairs for what we were told would be covered in a year warranty. No help from Cougar City except to say that they should have service following Christmas sales. I call bull.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE CHEAP PRODUCTS and NO SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!!!!!

2020-08-15Warning!!!!! - Do not purchase anything from this company. I purchased a Go Cart from Dean. He wanted me to pay him in cash. That should have been the first red flag. The Go Cart brook down within the first 24 hours. I took it back up because gas was pouring out of the air filter. They repaired it but charge me for the new carburetor. The Go Cart ran for about a week and then I couldnt get it started. Dean wouldnt take my phone calls and every time I called up to the store they told me that they dont do warranty work and wont repair it. I finally had to take it to Scooter World of Grayson Hwy. The repaired it for $120 and the Go Cart runs top notch. Stay away from Cougar Cycle. You will not be happy in the long run

2019-08-10Very overpriced and they do that because its the scooter place around that area but if you compare the high price stuff to other places you get a better deal for what you would spend their. Even to get stuff fixed its higher. I got my scooter from hi tech off Lee at.i suggest if youre shopping for a scooter go there and not cougar the manager just wants money instead of customer service.no money he dont talk. Dont go to them at all. Its all bad trust me
