Positive: Location Negative: Dirty. I emailed the hotel manager about my stay and she didn¿t even respond! If a manager doesn¿t even care about their customers, I can¿t even imagine how the staff cares for their hotel. I would not stay here¿and I won¿t in the future. P
I wasnt pleased with our stay. I booked two rooms for myself and family. Upon check in, it took a while to find the attendant as she was entertaining guests in the Bistro area. Our rooms were never cleaned during our stay causing trash and towels to pile. We found out that we were put on the no cleaning list and was not advised of this during check in. Neither rooms had washcloths and some towels were dirty. When we requested for towels on Saturday, we were told that the hotel was booked up on Friday and they didnt have any clean to spare and they put us on the list. We waited for hours and still didnt receive enough towels before having to leave for a wedding. We made it work with what we had. Most calls to the front desk went unanswered. When checking into the first room, I noticed that bathroom wasnt as clean as it couldve been. There was used bars of soap in the shower and the toilet needed wiping down, which I took care of. Upon check out, a family member went to the front desk for the managers card and the attendant was curt with him. For the amount of money spent on two rooms, I definitely expected better service.
Traveled in on the weekend to visit family… first time staying at this property. We were greeted by a very pleasant manager and out room was ready at arrival. The hotel is very well-maintained and clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly; the food provided in the bistro is limited, but quite good. I highly recommend this property!
From the moment we stepped foot into this hotel until the moment we left everything was perfect! We were not expecting higher end accommodations for a budget price!! The hotel is very clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable! The staff goes above and beyond and are so very sweet and kind! The bistro ladies were wonderful and we enjoyed cocktails by the fire in the evening and Starbucks coffee in the morning! Their flat breads were very tasty as well as their muffins in the morning. The pool was very clean as well as the fitness room. The views were great and it was located a mile or so from a huge mall and 1/2 mile from a Krogers! We will absolutely be back!!
Book here.. you wont find any better place near here. It was great. Staffs are nice, not everybody is professional but you can talk to manager(Christine? Or Kristine) and she solved every problem I had. I have stayed other Marriott properties but this one is by far the best. Also Angel is the most professional worker, and made my business trip somehow like a vacation. Loved here.
Upon check-in I was greeted with a glass of champagne. Checking into the room it was clean and the bed was extra comfortable. Upon check out I accidentally left my glasses and headed to a funeral. Front desk staff drove to Funeral location to bring them to me. Staff went over and beyond the definition of excellent customer service
Not what I expected as a long term Marriott Rewards Member. Housekeeping never brought our foam pillows and took the feather pillows away throughout our 3 day stay. I now have an earache because of my allergies. Not a great stay. The restaurant staff were outstanding and the best part of the trip.
Lower your expectations. If youre thinking that the Courtyard brand would do a better job of handling pandemic, labor, and supply chain issues - think again.Booked this weekend rate of $177 plus taxes for a single king bed, two people. We arrived and found: 1) No remote control for the TV, 2) a single bath towel, 3) hairs in the shower, fabric headboard & some of the pillows, and 4) sticky stuff on the room counter-top that we set some of our stuff in.The remote control was delivered within less than 10 minutes, but the extra towels never arrived despite a request on the Bonvoy App and two phone calls. The first phone call got the reply, She hasnt delivered them? Well, she delivered them somewhere. (After more than 30 minutes, I finally went down to the front desk and received 2 bath towels, a hand towel, and an apology.)We decided to not get a drink at the bar or eat breakfast in the restaurant, due to the staff not wearing masks - and none of the patrons, either, as well as the mediocre execution in room sanitation. In general, the room is in moderate shape. There is plenty of poorly applied calk in the bathroom, dents in the wall, and chipped paint.Again, if youre thinking that a weekend hotel stay at a purportedly semi-nice hotel will be the same as pre-pandemic... youre going to be disappointed.
Excellent hotel to stay at. Exceptionally clean and all services were provided in a welcoming manner. They had mask available in the event you may have forgotten yours. The lounge was a great place for accommodating small group gatherings being in compliance with social distancing. The rates were exceptionally reasonable. The beds and linens were very comfortable. I highly recommend this facility to everyone who needs a hotel to stay in if youre in the Atlanta area.
My family and I just decided to do a quick getaway for the long New Years weekend before returning back to work from the holidays. Overall, amazing stay. I will give this hotel 5 stars no matter my review because I feel it was an amazing stay. Rooms are very large rooms with lots of space and comfortable beds. The indoor pool was awesome. The location is amazing. The only negatives I do have is the parking (which it seemed like finding a spot at night was a little tough) and the food. While the food was good, the price I paid for breakfast to get the same quality food I could at a chick fil a or Starbucks but for a cheaper rate. Again, those are very minimal negatives and I honestly expected it would be a case when I visited, similar to any hotel. Not negative enough to veer from a 5 star review though. Overall I would plan to stay here again on our next visit.
I stayed here through the pandemic while visiting for work and had a very good experience. Once things started picking up the hotel lost its charm. The parking situation is limited and the overflow lot is a hike. Especially in the rain. They gave away my room the last time I was there despite a late check in. Honoring room reservations is table stakes in my mind. There are also lots of people always smoking weed in the parking lot. Rooms are ok but getting beat up. In the future I’ll likely take my business elsewhere and recommend the same to colleagues. I want to remain loyal but they don’t seem to be that interested in repeat patronage and their service is in obvious decline.
Having the opportunity to stay at the Courtyard Atlanta NE/Duluth Sugarloaf, was a very good choice. The rooms are super clean, the wifi is excellent, the noise level is non existent. The front desk clerk was very respectful and helpful. The beds are like sleeping on clouds. I absolutely love it.
This hotel was extremely clean. I came prepared with my lysol bottle and cleaners, and to my surprised it was spotless. I did my own cleaning anyways and brought my air purifier but it was a pleasure staying in such a clean room and it gave me great peace of mind. It was a great experience,
If I could give zero stars I would!!! Where do I start!!! When we 1st checked in we were given a room on the 3rd floor. After we inspected the bed we found a blood stain on one of the mattresses and on the carpet. We informed housekeeping and the supervisor of house keeping was nice and moved our room immediately to the 5th floor. We were a party of 3 and were only provided 1 washcloth and 1 towel and several hand towels. We called the front desk and the receptionist brought up towels and no rags. My husband went downstairs and the receptionist stated no washcloths were available. They only have 1 bartender and she makes the drinks and food. People were getting upset because the bartender/cook was trying to do everything by herself. So they left and went elsewhere to eat. I will never ever stay at any Marriott establishment. And they have the audacity to charge for breakfast. We went elsewhere to eat. This hotel won’t get another penny of my money! I’m so disappointed!! I want a refund. Very unsanitary hotel. The rooms are not clean at all. Go elsewhere trust me you get what you pay for. I normally stay at the Embassy but unfortunately they were booked. I’m so glad we are leaving tomorrow morning. Oh and the tv don’t work. Television works when it wants to, bathroom toilets are weak and kept getting stopped up after 1 damn flush!! I’m so disgusted
I was extremely pleased with my experience at the hotel. Upon checking in the front staff was extremely helpful and accommodating even though I had arrived before normal check in. The hotel common areas were very clean and was in great order. When I got into my room, I was surprised at how large the room was (standard double beds). I am obsessive when it comes to cleanliness at hotels, so I check everything prior to putting my luggage in the room. The room was very clean and I found nothing of any concern. All in all, the price/value far exceeded my expectations. I have spent considerably more for much less in comparable areas. Our travel was for a sports related event.
My stay was excellent!!! Shatara greeted me with a wonderful personality and hospitality that is completely genuine. I really enjoyed the space in my room, the view and the fitness center. If you are looking, it is beautiful here and I believe you will Love your stay as much as I did!
I am a Bonvoy client and stay at Courtyard hotels 30+ nights per year. This is the nicest facility I’ve stayed in from coast to coast. Tonya B. and April had the best customer service of any Courtyard employees I’ve encountered in my stays as well. You need to do what you can to keep them!
If a clean rooms, clean hallways, and great overall service is what youre looking for in a hotel, then keep looking! I had sworn off this location a few years ago, but had hoped that given some time to regroup during the slowdown of the pandemic that things would have drastically improved – boy, was I wrong. I am fairly certain, given the items I saw on the floor in the hallway that were never picked up during my stay, that all of the vacuums in the hotel were broken. Also certain that management believes 2 shower towels plus 2 coffees is sufficient for a week-long stay. And definitely certain that the Courtyard brass believes ordering breakfast from the bistro should be as tedious a task as possible. Here we are, in 2021, and the Courtyard brand still believes the best customer experience for ordering breakfast is to come down to the lobby, wait in a long line to finally place an order, and then wait an even longer time to have the order actually be ready to consume. It seems like the bistro staff at EVERY Courtyard I stay at is overworked and short-handed! For crying out loud, allow your customers the ability to order breakfast items online!! Or at the very least, train the bistro staff that actually picking up the phone to take an order, versus letting it ring out after 30 seconds and having the customer have to repeatedly call back, is not a great customer experience idea.
Large rooms, nice staff, clean hotel, great location, breakfast is basically equivalent to eating at Starbucks but at least they save you a trip from getting start bucks. Only negative is parking. When I left the hotel daily, there is no parking. I either had to park at the neighboring hotel if any spots at all or on the curb. That makes the stay harder because they control no one parking wherever
We checked in around midnight due to a flight delay and the front desk person was so rude. Due to our late arrival, I asked for a later checkout (which my status allows) and this same front desk person ignored my question and proceeded to go through her standard script for people checking in. When we got to our room, none of the requests we made in advance were honored. We will absolutely never visit this hotel as long as this person is working there. They do not exude the Marriott creed.
I am a Bonvoy member and have utilized a number of the Marriott brands. This is facility is immaculate!! Clean, safe and packed with entertainment. I am a clean freak and the executive housekeeper here takes cleanliness serious!! You will not see loads of hair all over the room from a previous guest. I have only noticed two strands on one visit and provided feedback on how to prevent an incident of this nature from occurring again moving forward. The feedback was welcomed. I will stay here again & again. That was only ONE occurrence and I have stayed a number of times all during the pandemic.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! First and foremost, the room was clean. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner cooled quickly, and I was very impressed with the modernness found throughout the room upon first glance and furthermore in the many small details. As with other reviews, I was able to hear a tad bit of noise from other rooms, but certainly no worse than any other hotel I have stayed at. Would definitely stay again!
I have stayed at this hotel several times and for 1 to 2 weeks spans. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the view from the room is exceptional. But above everything, I was won over the very first time when I mistakenly call this hotel while searching for the one on Breckenridge. A gentleman name Brian answered the call by saying, no, this is not but we can make you comfortable hereFrom the point, Brian has gotten me hooked on this hotel. Great employee/manager.
Positive: The staff including  was phenomenal! I had an issue with the supervisor and some of the bar/kitchen crew. They served me soured milk in my latte and argued with me when I notified them. They believed that because the expiration date was 9/2 & th Negative: The supervisor said some of the morning kitchen staff were rude n argued with me regarding soured milk.
Hotel is nice and updated. We are currently staying here, however, and the WiFi is down so there is no access to tv or internet with no information on when this may be resolved. In addition, we asked for a new set of towels for our second day and they had none to provide, aside from hand towels.
Super stylish and clean modern rooms. Nice room service menu. Dacilities include pool(currently closed), bar near lobby, and small store filled with goodies near front entrance. I believe complimentary coffee was available in the mornings as well. Very friendly staff!!
The front desk attendant at check in was more than helpful, fast, courteous, and warm. The folks the next morning at check in were the exact same. The Starbucks girl was a pleasure. Usually at a business youll find one kind and warm person but this hotel had an entire staff full. The beds were incredibly comfortable, rooms were spacious, and incredibly clean. Great location and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
We stayed here for a concert at the infinite arena and it was one of the best ideas we’ve ever had. The hotel is very clean and modern. We had a king room with a pull out bed, the pull out was fine for my five year old but there is no way an adult could sleep on it comfortably. The bed was fine. There are restaurants directly in front of the hotel, basically in the parking lot, if you don’t want to eat at the hotel bar. They advertise as having a restaurant but it’s really more of just a lounge that serves food. The lobby is fantastic and large. The front desk staff wasn’t very hospitable, the gentleman who checked us in was almost rude. It almost made me feel as if we didn’t “belong” there, this was my only major complaint about our stay otherwise we had a wonderful experience
Loved staying here! The room was very nice and modern, the beds were like sleeping on clouds and everything was really clean! I wanted to move in! My only complaint is hearing the neighbors tv next to mine all night and house keeping opening the door to my room before 8am while i was still sleeping and wasn’t required to check out until before noon. They should be aware of what rooms are occupied.
This would be a five star review. The property was nice and appeared to be clean. Staff was very friendly. The room seemed nice and was spacious. What makes this a bad review is the fact that once we arrived at home the next day, my son and I had bed bug bites. Large, red, swollen bites that couldn’t have come from anywhere else. The room seemed nice and it didn’t occur to me to check for bugs. I regret that decision now. If you stay here or anywhere for that matter, check the bed!!!
My stay was perfect. The personnel were helpful, friendly, and interested in my comfort. The entire hotel, including my room was spacious, well decorated, and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and well equipped. The hotel is in a safe area with places to eat and shop. The entrance, including the outdoors was kept very clean. Nothing can be improved at this hotel. I will stay here again on a return trip later this year.
This hotel was immaculate. I arrived at the hotel over an hour early for check-in however the gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating. He was friendly engaged in conversation and allowed me to check in at 1:30 as opposed to 3. When we got to the room my sons and I we were happy with the size of the room. It was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was huge and it had a microwave and refrigerator something that a lot of hotels failed to have. We will continue to stay here when we visit the area. We did not use the pool however it has all the amenities the staff was very friendly. Great place for families and it is near to everything right next door to the mall as well as 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta.
I have stayed at numerous hotels in my adult life and this ranks very high in my recommendations list. Every aspect of the stay has been carefully crafted for optimal client comfort. The check in was quick and smooth. The room was perfectly designed with excellent use of space and use of high quality furnishings. Every interaction with staff from the check-in guy to the housekeeping lady was warm, helpful and friendly. You will not regret staying here.
I am one to appreciate Excellent Customer Service. Upon arrival I was greeted and treated as a valued guest. I arrived earlier than regular check-in with the hope to get my room early and was graciously accommodated. My room was fresh, and ready! I did not partake of the food from the Bistro, however I was impressed by the menu and the prices were fair.
Traffic was crazy on the way and when we finally got to hotel, we were exhausted. We were welcomed by Jerry and he told us about all the neat things at Courtyard. The indoor pool, the fire pit, cozy seating around the fire, with blankets!!! He was very personal and friendly. The hotel was clean and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here. It’s close to many restaurants and shops and we enjoyed our stay.
From booking the room over the phone, to check-in, to the room, to check-out our entire stay was wonderful. The room was very clean and modern. Best sleep weve had in months. So much so my husband looked to see what kind of mattress it was. The staff was so kind and polite. All employees we encountered were wonderful. We will definitely be back
Perfect for short trips, clean rooms, free parking and great staff! The bistro is a bit expensive but there is a Starbucks to get your morning joe! close to highway but a bit far away from the airport for those needing to travel out. No real benefits for Titanium Elite outside of free early check in
The hotel is fairly new, the location is great, easy accessibility to highway and other main through streets. The front staff was exceptional and helpful. The cleaning staff left much to be desired, should do less congragating amongst each other so the rooms can be properly attended to in a timely manner. The hotel’s common areas were clean, they service food for a price, however there are a number of restaurants local and in walking distance.Enjoy your stay
This Marriott is my absolute favorite to book! The staff is extremely friendly, and Ive been offered complimentary water on a few occasions. Theres one gentleman in particular thats super happy and full of energy, and it really helped bring my mood up - his energy was contagious! The rooms are flawless, and if you request something to be in your room, itll be there. Never had an issue, and Ill definitely keep staying here!
Very clean, modern, spacious rooms. The only reasons this isnt a 5 star review are because (1) were spoiled with breakfast packages at other hotels and this one was very limited choices off of a Bistro menu, and (2) the shower in the room is an open concept, meaning theres no door that closes, so I was cold even under warm water. My husband loved it, though, so its really just a preference thing. 😊
I came to visit my bestie that is in town for the week. When you walk in the hotel it smelled soooo good. We visited the bar (Amanda) was great and very attentive. She made my Lemon Drop Martini just right (some ppl cant make them to my liking). I loved the room layout 5th Floor. I loved the shower... I loved the room aroma. The bed was very comfy and furniture. I dont know about the pillows; however, there were plenty on the bed. I am a pillow person, I bring my own all the time. They looked comfy.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and it couldnt have been a better experience. I need a walk-in shower, and they had rooms with those available. Everything, including the shower is sleek, modern, and CLEAN. The staff - from the front desk, to the bar, to the housekeepers, are AMAZING. We had sandwiches and coffee in the lounge - very good. Check-in was quick and painless. Our housekeeper traded towels with us, and left a note with her extension in case we needed anything else. Just pleasant from beginning to end. Well stay again when were back in the area 100%.
I love this hotel it is comfortable, clean and beautiful. The food was of good quality and presented well. Thet staff was wonderful and there are a variety of places to eat in the surrounding area. Vickie was wonderful! Angel and Elsa in the cafe were the best! The design of the room are huge and the ebds are very comfortable.
We were visiting family and this hotel was near my brother. It was beautifully decorated, clean, friendly staff and, VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS! The beverages and food were very tasty and when my husband went downstairs to get a paper one morning I asked him to get me some coffee and the staff told him it was on the house. We were very happy with our stay.
Our stay was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dealing with a hotel full of boys (there was a basketball tournament) and still staying friendly and helpful was amazing for the staff. They handled themselves very professionally. They resolved any issues that arouse immediately and always offered assistance. The young lady that cleaned our rooms for us was always smiling and helpful. She kept the rooms neat and tidy for us at all times. The barista that fixed my coffee for me at Starbucks had a wonderful memory, even with as many people she dealt with this past weekend. She knew my drink and made it perfectly. She asked about how my son did in his games and wished us luck every morning. The hotel was beautiful and very up to date. I really loved the design. We travel often with my son for basketball and the Courtyard will always be the first hotel I look for going forward. I hope I have the same experience at any Courtyard I stay at in the future.
For me it was wonderful, great staff, VERY clean room, awesome bathroom, 4 thumbs up! But my wife cannot go to sleep for some reason, cause of the bed. We loved Marriott but this bed was not comfortable for her. But for me, I slept like a baby. Its depend on what ones like. I would recommend this hotel.
I loved it there, the food is a bit expensive, but that’s at every hotel. I also was a tad bit comfortable with a recent incident that happened to two people’s cars. Other than that, the place was really clean and cozy, I fell in love with the bed. The bathroom was also really nice and the location was very convenient.
This place was fabulous! It had USB ports everywhere for charging your devices. I particularly appreciated the regular plugs built into the top of the night stands. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They have a shuttle which was great. The driver was the best! Great place to stay!
The courtyard was an excellent property. the staff had an attitude and was basically rude. Especially the food services group. they were not prepared for the wedding party group. check in was delayed and many in the wedding group missed the reserve shuttle bus to the wedding and had to use their personal vehicle. This shuttle service was to make sure if any party was drinking they did not drive and were shuttled to the wedding site. the hotel would not reschedule the shuttle. the food service was extremely delay with up to a hour wait for food and may that were in line to order at closing time for breakfast were not served and told that it was too late to order.
This Hotel is very upscale and pleasant at a reasonable cost. Its lobby is laid out nicely with swivel chairs and lounge chair for TV viewing. Has a nice bar and cafe area which is appointed very well, a pool and weight room, lemon water and popcorn near the front desk. Receptionist were courteous and friendly and the overall staff is great. On my list for return visit.
The room was beautiful, the bed was heavenly! Unfortunately the bathroom was not cleaned completely and we found long strands of hair throughout. The sink was not cleaned thoroughly and I had to clean it myself. When my husband and I returned from dinner, we had no where to park. When we asked for help, we were told to park off of the property and walk back (in the rain)on our own, which we were not ok with. No resolution. Ended up having to park in the mud over a curb. So disappointed, this was our only night away in 2 years.
Good hotel. Good room, comfy, no bugs. Good breakfast service, could not always find staff to serve food later. No tub, just a shower, which made me sad.Close to other things, downtown Duluth is about five miles. Hotel is at the top of a hill, so if you like to walk but cant walk very well note that the hill is tall.
I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the facility. The state of the art contemporary furniture was eye catching. Very nice furniture. The bed was extremely comfortable. I slept like a baby. The staff was friendly. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for an excellent place to stay. The price was competitive.
Staff attitude at check in and Bistro needs to be more customer service oriented. I dont believe rudeness is a good quality for people in the hospitality business.Cleaning staff and condition of the Courtyard rooms was good.We came in late after a concert and there were no parking spaces available. We had to park at the Residence Inn nearby. The Marriott vans had taken up at least 2-3 spaces.
I had the pleasure of spending several days at the recently opened Courtyard Atlanta Marriott Hotel in Duluth/Sugarloaf in Georgia. I was traveling alone on this trip, yet I felt from my first step through the door like I was surrounded by friends who took a personsal interest in who I was and how I was spending and enjoying my time in the area. It was one of the nicest hotel experiences Ive had in a while. The Bistro was warm and inviting, the food was very good and reasonably priced, and the hours of operation were convenient. The room was very pleasant, spotlessly clean, and with the most comfortable bed in which I have ever slept. I actually investigated to see what they were using by way of pillows and an extrordinary mattress pad, so that I could find them for my own home. I loved the shower. The staff in every area were so pleasant, warm, welcoming and helpful, to the extent that I felt like I was with friends. Coming from up north, Connecticut, I supposed that I was experiencing Southern Hospitality at its finest.I didnt have the opportunity to explore or enjoy the local attractions, so I cant speak to that, but the staff certainly discussed so much that could be enjoyed in the area. Ill just have to come back!I give you a 5 star rating!
I stayed here on business and the staff was very friendly, beyond what I usually see. They made a real effort to ask about me, which is refreshing after a long week of travel! The room and bed was very comfortable. The fitness center was clean and all the equipment was working. Lastly, I was pleased with the Starbucks products as The Bistro. Ill be sure to stay here again!
Courtyard by Marriot takes great pride in the cleanliness our their hotel. The night we checked in the night manager ,Mike, was impeccably dressed and professional. At the elevators their was a young man on his hands and knees cleaning the elevator floor with a toothbrush. He was very polite and friendly as we greeted him. Our room was impressively clean and the beds so comfortable. All of the amenities were well appointed and easy to find. Thank you Marriott.
My wife and I decided to stay here while we were house hunting and were so grateful that we made the right choice. The parking lot to the lobby and especially out rooms; were emmaculate but what made our stay so memorable was the staff.Lobby staff were friendly and knowledgeable; especially Miss Shatara.Thank you Miss Shatara for your smiles/ kindness. You emulated the company name, Marriot.I travel allot and whenever I come back in the area, I wont stay anywhere else than THIS location.Thank you General Manager for making our stay so enjoyable especially after a hectic day of house hunting.
I gave every category of this hotel the highest possible rating. I stayed at a competors hotel the night before. It was more expensive and not near the quaity. If Im in the area, I will definitely stay here again. Spacious, clean room with comfortable beds. No free breakfast, but a very good breakfast service reasonably priced.
This is a relatively new hotel, the approach and appearance is very nice. The hotel lobby is good looking and to date, this was my second stay at this location within the last year and my husbands third stay with the last year and a half and most things still appear relatively fresh, however I would recommend that the hotel pay better attention to its maintenance issues as well as to the cleanliness of the room and bathrooms.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights while visiting family for Christmas. It was very comfortable - the room layout was slightly different from most hotels and surprisingly roomy. The refrigerator in the corner, the table on wheeles and the bathroom layout are just a few of the little touches we both liked a lot. We will definitely stay here again.
Had a one night stay after concert at the Infinite Energy Arena. This hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. Came back around 1am and Gaius who was at the front desk made us coffee and was very nice. He truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. I travel frequently and he impressed me with genuine care for my stay and experience. I would 100% recommend this location and kudos for having such friendly staff 😊
Staff was wonderful and my stay was overall pretty good; I stayed 2 nights. First issue was that there is a paper sign in the bathroom saying they reuse the towels (said pretty much if there on the table, bed, near sink area etc they will be folded again and put back where they were to save water) I would prefer if they are unfolded which means they are already used during the day, to put them in the hamper. This makes me think that the towels WERE MOST LIKELY NOT CLEAN prior to my room arrival. Also, I appreciate there was a shuttle that took us to a concert 10/27/19 BUT I didnt like that the last pick up time was 11pm. The concert ended at 11:30pm. THE THING IS the person at the front and the shuttle driver told my family and I that we can call after 11pm and the shuttle would be sent. I called when I was at the pickup spot, reception said there were no drivers sorry bye! Needless to say we walked there, but I would prefer the truth upfront saying if its after 11pm no ride period rather than a lie.
Cant say enough good things about this placeIts heaven. Straight up. Heaven. The view was gorgeous, the room fantastically appointed, the bed so soooo good that I called them back later just to find out what brand they were so I could purchase one!Room service impeccable. Hotel feels seriously upscale without the upscale price.
The room was comfortable, the fitness room was cool and I loved sitting outside by the firepit, but the service is lacking. They told us they were short of staff. We needed sheets for soda bed, which was a twin. They asked us to come downstairs to get them. They gave us sheets for a king sized bed. The next morning I asked for washcloths. They never brought them so I called back 45 min later and the last at the desk said housekeeping was currently in a meeting and they will bring them or she may have to bring them. I was already running late. I didnt want to leave my son age 5 alone to go get them. So I waited another 20 minutes until a guy knocked and brought us the wash clothes. We finally received the correct size sheets when housekeeping came to clean (We had left and come back for a break). We all slept well though and lounged around comfortably between activities we participated in around the city.
Good place to stay. Modern, clean, good upkeep. Good and decent food selection for breakfast and dinner. Freshly cooked and prepared with love. You can see that the folks here love their jobs. Gym is adequate, with weights, threadmill, and bike. Didnt try the swimming pool, forgot my trunks. But it looks clean. Tried Marriotts other hotel chain further south and wasnt up to spec. This place is what I expected for a business trip stay. Got a double bed room, clean bed, clean tub, good size. Needed a desk not facing the tv.
The best hotel ever! Highly accommodating and would definitely recommend to all who plan to stay in the Gwinnett area. They have amazing food, the best service, beautiful and friendly staff, beds are super comfy, the shower is simply refreshing and for the best price! I was highly impressed. I will definitely stay here again in the near future. Also, the reservation was easily obtained. They do book quickly so be sure to get a room in advance! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit! Thanks for the best visit to Atlanta ever!
We had 21 rooms reserved at this hotel for a wedding. The cleanliness was fine. But once you check out look over your billl many inconsistency. Dealing with the front desk people on check out is another issue. They are not that accommodating and just stand there stoicly waiting for you to pay, not wanting to try to see your points that are being brought up.
My husband stayed here while traveling last week and he loved it. He hopes to stay again on his way home and said that if were every going through the area as a family it should be on the top of my list of places to stay - he thought the rooms were comfortable and the location was convenient.
It was so much better. I stayed with my wife the weekend before Valentines Day for a romantic weekend. Ive stayed at many hotels over the years that covered the gambit of quality and the Courtyard Atlanta NE/Duluth Sugarloaf was the best of them all. The appearance over all is very modern and very comfortable. I stayed in the King suite and highly recommend it. Spacious room with comfortable fold out couch and King size bed that you will literally melt into when you lay on it. The bathroom was very big and so was the shower stall (not a tub).
Very helpful and inviting employees. The room was really nice! It was extremely clean including the bathroom. The only minor issue was that the water in the sink took forever to drain. It seemed that maybe it was slightly clogged or something. But everything else was close to perfect.
This was my 2nd stay here. Located in a nice area, close to many restaurants. Hotel is very nice and staff are great. Has a bistro onsite which is convenient for breakfast and evening drinks. Hotel rooms are well appointed with very comfortable beds. Its also close by an arena which I understand has some big name concerts (Im not from the area and travel in for business).
The hotel was in good condition, and the staff was very nice. I was a little bit disappointed that they didnt provide a complimentary breakfast, but they did have a restaurant where you could pay for food. The fire alarm was accidentally set off by a staff member on our floor, and no one bothered to call our room to let us know what was going on. It was very loud and annoying while we tried to get ready to go out for the evening. Barring that, our stay was fine.
My children and I have utilized this location several times. This was by request! We love this Marriott, the staff, the cleanliness, the rooms, the service and location are excellent! They have taken great care of us each and every time weve stayed, handled any issue appropriately and been consummate professionals. This is our first choice away from home... thank you!
The Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta is a wonderful hotel, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and helpful. I went to a concert at Infinity Arena, and the hotel provided shuttle service to and from. I didnt have a chance to use any of the amenities, but the hotel boasts a heated pool and fitness area. Both places looked nice as I walked around the hotel. The room was nice, with a comfortable king sized bed. I would be happy to return.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel they were very accommodating and hospitable. They allowed us to have a late check-out when we had checked in very late and had young kids who needed some sleep. That gave us time to play in the pool and get ready to go. Very friendly staff. We will return
Very Nice hotel!!This hotwl is newer and has a lot of nice amentities. Rooms were built with space in mind, the only thing I did not like about the layout is the tv is right above the desk space so if you are trying to eat and watch tv you have to strain your neck. But thats not an issue. The rest of everything about the hotel is fantastic. They have a bistro available and even have Starbucks, didnt even have to leave the hotel for coffee. Everyone was friendly and super helpful for any item I might have needed in my room. Bed was comfortable and clean, Keurig coffee maker and lots of space to lay out luggage laptop etc. My reservation was for two beds but they set me up in a King one bed which didnt say anything about it, I never checked the price difference, but a hotel would never automatically offer you something highet without telling you about it first, right? No way!! Never!!! Best hotel in area, but if they do pull stuff like that they should tell guests in advance.
Stayed for the weekend. Things were going well until the guest next to me decided that they would have a party in their room. The walls are super thin. I could hear everything! Called the front desk to complain & they said that they tried calling my neighbor but there was no answer so that was no help. Cool place to stay, great location but they really NEED to soundproof those rooms!!
This hotel was very nice. The property and room were very clean. Its located close to a lot of restaurants and shops. That was a Plus! The staff was friendly and always smiling. My only issue was with the 2 hour timer inside the refrigerator. That should be removed because no one wants to press this button every 2 hours.
I picked this hotel because I had an anniversary certificate for a free nights stay. Selected this hotel because it was close to a photoshoot that I was doing in the area.It started out pretty good. No problem with registration. I requested a high floor, and an upgrade for being an elite member. I was denied on both requests. I then asked for additional towels for the bathroom. I never received them. We went out for dinner and drinks and came back about 12:30am. Pulled up to the hotel, and there was NO parking space around the hotel. I asked the front desk if I could park up front, and was told, very curtly, that I was to park down the hill at the adjoining office park. I was the only auto in the area. I walked back up the hill, and asked if my car would be safe. Not even looking up, they said, yes.Went back downstairs, after I found that I had to extend my stay one more day. I asked one of the night managers what the costs were on extending to the next day. I was informed that they were booked. After I pressed the issue, she asked the other person if they were booked fully, she opened a book and said, No. She began to add my room, and I was told that I needed to check out and check back in in the morning with the morning front desk manager. I asked if I could use my points for the additional day and was told, No. You have to do that on your own. We cant do that here. Because of the lateness of the hour, I just paid for the room out of pocket. The next day, I did as I was told and decided not to interact with the front desk at all. It went well. I got back after a late lunch at around 2:30pm. My room was not cleaned and they brought new towels, at my request, and placed them in a dirty bathroom. I called the front desk and was informed that they were somewhere on the floor and were coming. About 20 minutes later, housekeeping came in and did a great job.The second night was much better, and I simply chose not to interact with the night managers. Came in through the back door, and left the same way that morning. Great location, but so-so staff interactions.
If you are looking for a Hotel that offers good food options, this hotel is not for you. The dining at the hotel is only breakfast, and it doesnt have the most appealing items to children. However, if you are looking for a hotel that simply offers spacious rooms, free WIFI, has a decent pool (small), and has a very good fitness area with free weights, multiple machines, and a very friendly staff, then you will enjoy this place. It is close to many restaurants, theatres, and shopping locations.
Our room was never cleaned.Every time we requested something thru the front desk nobody show up.Even when calling several times. Not everyone at front desk was nice and polite. It is a good location for the Forum but they are other hotels in the same area.I will not considered this one again. They not have enough personnel to provide good service.
This is my third stay at this location and they have failed to disappoint. The rooms are updated and I love the room darkening curtains. The staff was very friendly and prompt to take care of any issues. I plan to stay here again and would highly recommend this location.
Nice and clean. Room was modern. I really like the new smart TVs that Marriott has so you can login and watch Netflix, HBO etc.My only issue with Courtyard is that there is no complimentary breakfast like at other similar hotels by Marriott like Fairfield Inn and Residents Inn.
The rooms were nice. It was very busy and there were quite a few unruly children attending a basketball competition. I cant fault the hotel for being overwhelmed and busy, or for the conduct of other guests, but it did affect our stay. I would and probably will return.
Your hotel is great. No complaints other than the prices you charge in the snack section. I walked 6 blocks to a Kroger Grocery store and purchased a great deal of food that I could eat in my room for $22. $22 in your little snack section would not warrant the cost(s). In some cases, your snack section is more expensive than some airports.
I was aghast at this motel on December the 21st and 22nd. The Room for did not meet my expectations of cleanliness. The bathroom was especially bad. Hair on the floor and massed behind the door and in the shower was totally unacceptable. The lack of cleanliness at this Property is attrocias and far from my expectations as a Marriott customer.I do not believe guest should have to clean their room.Ronald C. Clean & cozy but fun too!Convenient to many of the area attractions!!The shuttle dropped us off at the arena & since it started raining, they picked us up after the concert! The only downside is that the snacks in the vending area are really expensive & the food in the lounge was not very tasty!Otherwise, I definitely would recommend staying here!
The staff was so nice and helpful when I was in a serious bind. They provided me with information about the area and helped in finding a place to take my car, which had broken down, in the morning. Very patient and understanding. I was provided with the best customer service I have ever received that night I stayed there and I can’t thank the staff enough.
Stayed in a 1 King Bed with Sofa bed. Came to the town for all the nearby Korean restaurants and stores. Atlanta was only a 30-35 minute drive. The bathroom and interior of the room blew away my expectations in quality and style. The shower head was gigantic and had several different settings. But the part that surprised me the most was the quality of the bed. Incredibly soft and comfortable - slept like a log. Another bonus is they have Netflix and Hulu apps connected to their TVs so you can watch anything you want if you have those accounts (they automatically log you out of your personal accounts on checkout). Im 100% coming back here on my next stay.
Your hotel is slick and well-managed. The biggest difference for a guest however is the service, and for me, your staff team is the warmest, most sincere and professional experience I’ve had in years. Kudos to you all for impressing and delighting a grumpy, lonely traveler.
My room was clean the bathroom did not have any toilet paper, the toilet paper holder was broke. I had to keep asking for toilet tissue and bath towels. The day I was checking out the housekeeper at 9 a.m. started knocked on my door three different times to find out what time was I leaving, so she can hurry up and finish work and go home early.
I checked in and spent a long day at a conference on the day I checked in. Upon returning to my room and showering (in the moldy shower) close to midnight, I proceed to get in bed and realize that my sheets are nasty.... I just checked in on this day!! How are the sheets not clean? Housekeeping apparently cleaned the room and made up the bed with unclean sheets. It took over an our to get the issue resolved. Close to 1 am I am scrambling to make up my bed after received 2 sets of sheets because the first set that was dropped out without an apology was the wrong size. No one offered to help me make up the bed. I am the guest! There was hair, debris, and other unidentifiable matter on the bed. I was beyond livid and tired. Definitely not what I expect as a Gold Member. Needless to say, I will not be back to another Courtyard.

2022-06-14The front desk staff were amazing. Our reservations were a little complicated for 2 rooms and there for an event but they were most helpful to make sure we didnt have to change rooms and that our rates were charged appropriately. Our rooms were VERY comfortable and well stocked with essentials. Starbucks staff were really kind! It was all around wonderful!!! Thank you.

2022-06-02This is what I wrote to the GM…….Thank you so much for reaching out. Happy to hear they didn’t “find/see” the bedbug(s). However, that doesn’t mean they weren’t/isn’t there. I have bites (not skin irritation) on my right hip and my right hand that’s still extremely itching. I’ve contacted that pest control company and asked them “if no bugs are found, does that absolute mean they wasn’t there”? I was told “no”. “They could be hiding in carpet, pillows, and deep inside mattress. They usually come out when body heat is detected. Or, they could of attached them selves to my luggage or clothes”.I’ve been a Marriott silver elite member for 10yrs now and I’ve never experienced any of this before (which is why I love the company), but me waking up at 3am to come get blankets to sleep on the floor isn’t the Marriott way!Since I can’t get my refund, I have no choice but to take things up from here. Please send me your regional manager contact information, thank you.I was bite up from bedbug(s). Apparently my bites and videos isn’t enough proof, since I’m not pest control!

2022-06-21Stayed at this location because it was close to Gas South Arena. The rooms and customer service was great. When I checked in the Hotel and inquired the walking distance to Gas South Arena no one even knew where that was, which was shocking since it was only 3 miles away. I was then informed that they had shuttle that could drop me off and pick up, I asked how far in advance did I need to call and was told 15 minutes before I needed shuttle. I called when shuttle was needed and was informed that shuttle was out on another trip and I should have called 1 hour before shuttle was needed (contradicted what I was told at check in). When the concert was over called front desk for shuttle to pick us up and was informed that thr shuttle was done for the night. Overall inaccurate information on the complementary shuttle service.Overall great visit!

2022-02-08Just don’t bother! Horrible stay!Unfortunately, Due to a delayed flight we decided to stay one night in ATL instead of driving home today. I booked using priceline. I normally book directly but priceline’s price was way more cheaper. Like before, I was traveling with my children, and I understand not having two beds since I only booked a room with a King bed and a sofa bed, but unfortunately the sofa bed didnt come with a pillow. So I called the front desk to request for pillow and I was told that there’s no pillows available anywhere. Apparently there is no housekeeping available at 8:00PM and they have no way to access the housekeeping inventory. I have never heard of this! I was so tired of dealing with it so I guess we just had to sleep with no pillow. I loved this hotel, and stayed here several times, but I think if this is what I get booking with priceline, I don’t think this is Marriott standard with this type of service. I don’t know If this worth driving and staying at this hotel when there are others closer. Along with this issue, we found a crayon in the sofa, and a tissue in the trash can. In this time of covid craziness, I sure hope my room was cleaned! I honestly don’t know what to think at this point. This was terrible service. They couldn’t even get a pillow from an unused room?? Ridiculous. To top it off, I emailed the hotel manager about my stay and she didn’t even respond! If a manager doesn’t even care about their customers, I can’t even imagine how the staff cares for their hotel. I would not stay here…and I won’t in the future. Poor staff and management.

2022-02-27We had a confirmed reservation, showed up at the hotel after a wedding around 11:30pm and was immediately told by the rude front desk employee they had no rooms. We showed our confirmation and she said you did not listen to me but we have no rooms. Absolutely rude.

2022-03-20Some of the furniture was damaged in appearance, corners broken on dressers. Did not like shower stall, only 1/2 glass so water tended to splash on floor. Convenient location for my needs.

2022-01-02The rooms are clean ,but bed sheets had hair all over and it looked like not changed . Also the mattress had big stains. There was a big vomiting mess on the carpet in front of the elevator . We reported it but no one came to clean it .

2021-10-25I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this hotel. The hotel is well kept both outside and inside. Free self parking is the only parking option. The check-in process was quick and easy. I was even allowed to check in early. The front desk staff was professional but I wouldnt go as far as saying they were friendly. The room itself is nice and the size is decent. The room and bathroom were both clean which is always good. There is a coffee maker, small refrigerator, and a microwave located in the room. Also, if you have a Netflix account you can log on via their smart tv. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is located off of 85 which is convenient and it is near shopping (Sugarloaf Mills) and restaurants.

2022-03-21Not bad at all. Only paid $300 for a split room for me and my kids. The young lady in the lobby was very helpful with my questions
