Positive: It was in the general vicinity of where I wanted to be. Negative: They did not bring clean towels for the second day. And when I had to get them the battery on my room entry lock stopped working forcing me to change rooms at 10 pm at night to a smelly, mold filled room that was awful. I¿m not sure I¿ll use you ag
Positive: Very easy to locate, Super Friendly and Professional Staff Free Parking, Bistro / Internet free / Free Breakfast should that be in your Reserved package Negative: First night TV NOT working , SAFE previously secured/unable to use Manager did change rooms and offer Breakfast for duration of stay
Positive: The bed was very comfortable really enjoyed my night of much needed sleep. Negative: The bistro area was dark & uninviting. I came down for coffee @ 530 and the little coffee area was completely dark (not one light) & coffee cold? Weird?? Either offer to customers & have properly set up & customer ready or just dont offer.
A nice hotel. Comfortable beds, great shower head, good size rooms that are very homey feeling. No free breakfast which we would have missed since we slept in anyway. No housecleaning service over our 2 nights, which was a bit disappointing. Our tiny trashcans were full quuckly. Overall a great stay
We stayed here on our way to visit Jeckyll Island. With 2 little boys under 5, we were very happy with our stay!Customer Service: The customer service was excellent and every staff member we ran into was pleasant and kind.Cleanliness: The front lobby was very clean, floors were even cleaned twice while we stayed for only 1 night. Our room is as a king with a pullout bed, super clean. Bathrooms were visibly wiped down as well as counters and tub. Shower curtains were also white and clean!Breakfast and coffee were also good.Nose level: very happy with the noise level especially for a busy July 4th weekend. With a light sleeping baby, noise was very minimal and not a bother at all.Overall: we were very pleased with our stay and super thankful for a pleasant and kind staff! Nothing beats smiling faces.Thank you, Courtyard Marriott!
Positive: Room was very clean. Staff very nice. Shower was older, curtain did not cover well on the bottom. A little short and we had to make sure it stayed in the shower part so not to get the floor wet. Negative: The coffee basket only had one coffee pod, one decaf pod,one tea,no coffee creamer or sugar I went to the front desk and got a few more. They were very kind but felt like this should have been replaced from last people there. No big deal, just inconvenient
There was too much highway noise in my room. The room was comfortable but the bathroom needed some upkeep - peeling wallpaper and bathtub ceramic chipping off. I would have preferred the shampoo, conditioner, and soap to have the same lavender/citrus scent. The tea tree shampoo didn’t match and smelled medicinal. Yuck.
Upon check in a friend & I asked if we could split room charge 50/50 on two credit cards. We were told yes - no problem. Both cards were swiped upon check in & again upon check out. One card was charged 50% - twice (i.e. full room charge) and the other card was charged 50% making the total charge 150% of room cost. The problem is neither the desk clerk or desk manager could or would remove one of the charges on the card that was charged twice. Desk manager said she would have general manager call me but it has been a week with no phone call. After 3 phone calls trying to resolve directly with hotel I have given up & filed a dispute with credit card company. I have been a loyal Marriott customer for years but I will never stay at this hotel again. They have no concept of customer service.
I love the consistency between the Courtyard properties. New location, like the format, more useful work space in the lobby area where guests can spread out. Area to eat with nooks with individual tvs, tables and a nice but short menu with items available until 10pm. This option is great for people arriving late, needing something decent to eat and not wanting to go out. Very convenient, both of us found something to eat for dinner, Caesar salad, flatbread, and chicken pot pie. Efficient check in and out.
Love Marriott. We stopped early tonight in our travels to get work done. I know its not the fault of the motel but, Im still sitting here at 12:30 am with no internet. 5.5 hrs. No internet. Rooms are clean, reception was wonderful and kind. The bistro was great. No internet.
Well me and my husband rented the hotel for 2 nights. I found the hotel online. I thought it would be beautiful and very relaxing. When we arrived I looked at the hotel and I said to myself, This is so ugly. I can see other hotels across from my hotel and they were so nice and appealing. That was a red flag! We went inside and the lobby area was ok. They had a very small bistro in the hotel. The food prices were taped on the inside of the elevator. Red flag number 2. We went to our room and as I was walking along I noticed that a lot of the room numbers were damaged and they needed to be replaced. One room had their number printed onto computer paper and taped to the wall! Housekeeping was every where. I could barely get to my room. Once inside, the room was huge. The bathroom was okay. The air conditioner was cracked and the tv didnt work. I had to get one of the housekeepers to fix it. Well its finally time to relax and go to bed. The bed was hard as a board. The noise from the outside traffic was annoying but that is not the hotels fault. Then I heard loud noises later that night coming from the hallway and upstairs on the 3rd floor. The last straw was when I over heard the employees talking about a lady and her two dogs. I will never come back!!
Per the standard two-day stay, all amenities were at my and the Marriotts’ quality standards. The staff was professional and courteous as expected, the property and room were well manicured and acceptable. Nothing out of the ordinary, when you book the Courtyard, you know what your getting.
This hotel was a huge disappoinment. Checked in around 10:30 pm with lobby extremely dark and uncomfortable. Mattresses gave us a terrible night sleep. In the morning we discovered that the breakfast is not complimentary and instead it is very expensive. Free coffee...big deal. Would not stay here again. Pull the Courtyard franchise from this hotel.
Our room had a king bed, loveseat, desk, fridge yet did not feel crowded. We were very comfortable. The best was having a restaurant on site. The food was better than expected, burgers with gruyere cheese and chicken pot pie, and inexpensive too.I will look for a Courtyard on future trips.
The best beds and wonderful air conditioning! The hotel is wonderful and not really any complaints other than no trash bags in our trash cans and the carpet needs to be a bit cleaner. The staff was very friendly!* My husband and I get very hot at most hotels and we aren’t fans of very soft pillows or mattresses. These were firm and we slept so well and didn’t wake up sweating from heat ( we were on the 3rd floor) . Also they have a mini fridge, microwave, small coffee maker, couch,Desk, chair, tv, storage areas, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair drier. Also the tv pulls out so you can watch comfortably from bed.
My overall experience was wonderful. If I had to say anything negative it would be that you guys should clean room no matter how long a person stays. I was there for two nights and was told room wouldn’t be clean because of that. I had to get extra towels as a result. But other than that place was quiet, clean and employees were very friendly.
Positive: hotel and staff were nice. room was clean Negative: the photo in the add showed a easy chair. I cannot sleep in a bed so i paid extra for the suite for the chair. no chair in the room, rather a fold out settee that was very uncomfortable. I tried sleeping in my truck but gave up and we left at 2:00 AM
Positive: Cleanliness, friendliness of the staff front desk/housekeeping (excluding bistro staff), and pool atmosphere. Negative: The tv in the room wasn¿t working properly. Unfortunately, it¿s nothing the current staff was able to resolve since it was more of an IT issue which is understandable.
We stayed here on the way from Virginia to Florida. Nice room, clean and modern. My only complaint is a $5 charge for American Express. I dont know if they tack on charges for all credit cards or just Amex, but I should have been told about it when I checked in. I did not use the dining facilities or other amenities.
The Courtyard Marriott was just what we needed for our small Father’s Day weekend getaway! The rooms was nice and clean with adequate space for my husband and I and our 2 small boys. We also took a dip in the well kept pool suiting our stay! Will definitely be staying again in the future!
After staying at so many different Marriott properties over the last year and having one bad experience after another, it was such a delight to finally stay at a quality place that was what I always expect from this company. The staff was very nice, kind and knowledgeable. The hotel was clean. There were a few maintenance issues but nothing that caused a problem with use or the stay. The restaurant in the hotel is limited and expensive. But so nice to have. Being a Courtyard, breakfast was not included. That was a little disappointing. Overall, so very happy to have stayed and found this property.
Positive: Didn¿t really like the hotel but the staff was very nice and accommodating even if they were limited to the hotel¿s weaknesses Negative: VERY close to highway (literally a stone¿s throw), noisy traffic noise in some rooms and a throbbing mechanical hum in other rooms.
I’ve stayed here 6 nights the past 2 weeks. I travel for work so I’m in hotels more than I am home lol So I know what’s good and what’s not and this hotel is great. The General Manager Monicke is the bomb.com!!! Very accommodating! Since she’s the GM I’ll assume she hires everybody here, the entire staff is awesome from the front desk to the bistro to housekeeping and maintenance. The entire place is very clean from rooms to the pool and fitness center. Whenever I’m in Brunswick, I will be staying here for sure!
We booked Courtyard by Marriott in Brunswick by I95 using priceline.com. Overall, all was ok. Room size bigger than most other place in this price range, beds were ok but too soft (toppers?). What could be improved is lighting (burnt out bulbs) and A/C controls. TV rather small with limited number of channels. The problem was the noise, bathroom fan noise, a/c noise, fan noise, fridge noise and background noise (either other room appliances or outside). We turned a/c off for the night as this was the only way to turn off loud fan. Elevator carpet could use cleaning. Room design modern but show aging and bathroom could use caulking. Did not like the shower shampoo, lotion, body wash dispensers, not such a good idea in covid19 times.
Absolutely horrible and naste hotel. I get my room and one of the bed sheet looks like someone already sleeping there before me ( hairs and wrinkles). Behind the toilet seat was pee and under was little brown 🤮,there was hair in bathtub. We asking for cleaning and the lady at front desk give us another room, but when I open the room, there was only one bed ( we reserved two ). So I go downstairs again and she trying to find another room. We get disability room. It was finally ok but I was not sure again if my bed had sheets changed. Looks much different than my daughter’s bed. Bathroom needs more clean-head shower had fingerprints. Balcony in this room-no words. We leave for dinner and when we come back,I was ready to go sleep because I had long drive that day and was very tired and another day I had to long drive again. In 9 pm when I almost sleep, room service ring the bell on the door an knocked which was shocked me because I almost dreaming ( we had DND sign on the door ) I open the door and she asking me for my surname and when I told her,she just say thank you and leave. Huh ? 🤦🏽♀️ WTH ? Disgusting experience. Motel 6 is sometimes much better.
I’m looking at the reviews and they are not matching with my fiancé went through. He had called earlier and reserved a non-smoking room because he has asthma. He’s a truck driver and when he finally got there they gave him his room which was an adjacent room does smell like smoke. I had an odor to it. He went and asked the desk clerk do they have any other rooms because his room had an odor and she said real nasty that’s the only room we got. So he literally went out to his truck got some Lysol and sprayed his room down to try and get rid of the smell. Very disappointed with how the desk clerk handled it. He won’t be staying there again.
I have stayed on this property several times. It was very dated. I read that it was upgraded and chase to stay on this trip. The upgrade was okay- but not as I was expected. Things such as apparent past water damage in the room and no fresh paint was apparent. I would expect more from a Courtyard. The staff was and always has been friendly and very helpful.
There were a lot of Wi-Fi issues when I was there when I was checking in but the staff was eager to just write down a room number and get me in a room and were concerned that I was completely satisfied and I liked that. We are definitely Marriott fans and have stayed here before
The price was great and un-believable compared to other hotels. The front desk clerk Alicia was very nice and professional. Thank you my dear for reasuring me that this place was safe and comfortable at the same time. My room the hotel everything was clean fresh and quiet with convient surrounding, nice view I just really enjoyed my stay.
The room was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel was undergoing renovation on 12/7/2020, and, of course, Covid-19 precautions havent helped the appearance of the lobby. Road noise from I-95 was noticeable until I turned on the heat. There were rips in the shower curtain, and I found out in the morning that the sliding glass door of our ground floor room would not open -- something I keenly resented because that would have been my preferred exit in the event of a fire.
Hotel is under renovation with building materials in the lobby area and the elevator was filthy. As a Platinum Member, we were eligible for breakfast vouchers and were denied them even though two separate members of the staff promised to reach out to management to see if an exception could be made. With multiple other options in the area, we will not be staying at this property in the future and would recommend that they expand their renovations to include the customer service skills of their staff.
Our overall stay here was absolutely great! The room was spacious, well decorated, and clean. The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked more than efficiently which is great with the hot weather! The overall appearance and cleanliness of the hotel and common areas were great! We used the pool as well which was very nice with lots of seating available if needed. We did not get a changce to try the food on site, but the area for dining was very nicely decorated and the food always smelled very good! We would absolutely recommend and will be staying here again in just a couple of months.
The staff at the Brunswick location were kind and professional. We hadnt stayed at a Courtyard for 3+ years. Now I remember why. The television in the room didnt work. The food was inedible. The floor was filthy. I will blame the floor on the renovation going on but the was just poor quality and poor management.
The information I the Marriott website in incorrect. The information for this hotel on Priceline is incorrect. This hotel does NOT have a heated pool OR indoor pool. This was the ONLY reason we booked it, & the people in line behind us said the same thing. The hotel is fine if you don’t want a pool, it’s clean, & they’re working on renovating.
The mattress had a plastic cover like w curb mattress. It was ripped and smelled of urine. The lotion had already been used and was caked on the opening The shower curtain was ripped and too short so water flooded the floor Cheap towels. DingyStaff was curt Right by 95. Traffic all night In a sketchy part of town
The hotel overall was always clean and well kept. The maid Service did a really good job on the room. Staff is extremely friendly. Would like to see extended hours at the bar/café at night, as well as more breakfast offerings in the morning. Kitchen seemed too small to handle the morning business traffic in the lobby. The fitness center is nonexistent which was a letdown. It looked as though it had been an abandoned renovation project. The pool is small but nice. Clean, nice pool area.
Positive: good location, larger than average room, overall good experience Negative: noisy: room a/c and fan, a few light bulbs burnt out, room shows some wear, bathroom good use caulking, shower shampoo/lotion/body-wash dispenser not such a good idea in covid19 times, elevator floor was not clean.
Poor treatment by front desk staff. Abrupt, rude response to request for early check-in. We are reasonable adults and would have appreciated her taking time to check to see if there was a room ready with a one hour request for early check-in. Yellow stained pillow upon request for extra pillows.
I had a reservation for a king room and only received a double. 30,000 points and not getting what you agreed to is wrong. Reception stated I would be compensated by the Manager with extra points.....did not happen. Underwhelming service for a Titanium Elite member withe lifetime Platinum status.
We had an unexpected layover in Brunswick, Georgia on our way home while on vacation in Florida, due to my husband becoming ill. We tried to find adjoining rooms but none were available. However because of the spacious size of our room it was plenty enough for our family of four. Also the pool and lounge/Bistro gave us entertainment as well as a nice place to relax so as not to disturb my husband. The food was excellent at the Bistro and I appreciated the healthy choices they had to offer. The price was in line with what we had been seeing in Florida. A little pricey but worth it!! The hotel was immaculate as were the rooms. Adequate vending & amenities. The only thing I didnt like the cable channels in the room were limited and you had to go to the Bistro or lounge to have Direct TV for more variety of channels. Since we werent going to be there long it wasnt a big deal & the rest of what the hotel had to offer far exceeded this minor detail. Great place to stay with your family, I felt safe while I was there. I would recommend to others & I will stay again if needed.
I was traveling with my boss for business. Our companies travel group booked the hotel on request of any Marriott in the area near the airport. On arrival to the hotel we noticed that the hotel was under renovation. The front desk employee said we would be in rooms freshly renovated and never stayed in. When I walked into my first room there was drywall dust everywhere and the bathroom floor had chunks of drywall all over as well. The hotel moved me rooms and said the next room was for sure clean. When I walked into the next room is was worse than the first room. Drywall dust everywhere, painters tape on the walls, broken toilet lid, chipping shower/tub ledge. I had them vacuum the floors to which the situation did not get any better. When I come back for business in a few weeks I will not be staying at this hotel even being a Marriott member.
Room was not Clean at ALLStains on the CarpetNo hand soap in Room for sinkNo Bodywash was in Shower BottlesPubic Hairs was on the Bathroom FloorLarge Ants crawling all over the Room PatioSliding Screen Door was All Busted Up and Lying on the Ground so could not leave door open for fresh air. Not Happy with our Stay
The food is good, its nice having the option after being out to get a bite and a drink at the hotel and not go anywhere. The rooms Ive stayed in have all been clean with a really friendly staff. The beds are comfortable and clean, havent had a problem once staying there. Check in was easy, its definitely one of the nicer hotels in the area without being extremely overpriced and not on the island.
The room was filled with a mildew smell, outdated carpets, decor, and lighting. The bathroom was clean, but not well appointed and the shower was grimy. The linens all smelled musty and not clean. The beds were terrible. I’d have been more comfortable sleeping on the parking lot, not a typo- the asphalt would have been softer. The staff was efficient but terse, not overly friendly. The bistro served breakfast that would have cost almost $20 a person for basic breakfast sandwiches. Dunkin’ Donuts is across the street. Cable was not family friendly. The price for the night was twice what it was at other chains in the area. We chose Courtyard because of its reputation. Won’t make that mistake again.
I’ll give two stars for the hot shower, friendly front desk lady over the phone, and the room was clean!! Thank youI read previous reviews but decided to stay here instead of Hilton Garden next door.HUGE mistake it would’ve been worth the extra $$.This is NOT up to Courtyard Marriott standard. More along the line of a Motel 6. Run down, old and smelly. We were lucky to be placed in a room right next to the loud elevator. Room SMELLED of smoke mixed with stale urine, a smell you can’t get out of your nose.Don’t stop here… keep movingUpdate to morning… see photos…really can’tmake this garbage up. Husband asked if we were on hidden camera.
This was my first time staying at this property. The lobby it self was clean and very well represented. The manager on duty at the time when I checked in was a little rude when I was asking questions about my reservation when it came to asking about Marriott rewards because it was a Priceline trip. She was able to redeem herself later in the evening, she ended up being very pleasant and easy to talk to. The rest of the hotel just had this feeling it was super clean. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bathtub was dirty and not super clean. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay.
This hotel was exceptionally filthy and dirty, and the customer service was horrendous. I made a mistake and thought I had reserved a room at the local Fairfield Marriott because I have stayed at this hotel before and it was the same then as well. In fact it was worse last time with fire alarms going off at all times of night and flooding. It was so bad, quite a few guests ended up leaving and going to the Fairfield like I did. The management at this hotel makes you shake your head in disbelief due to the complete incompetence.
Hotel is very convenient to I95 yet a short drive to the Golden Isles. Staff treat you in a very personal and professional manner and cafe staff will take care of you. Breakfast is popular but do not be deterred by the line - they are efficient and you will have your food quickly. Lobby is nice for relaxing and socializing outside your room. Pool is awesome and fitness center is good hotel quality. Staff are not afraid to give advice on the menu and you will find something to your liking. Also, they are very accommodating for substitutions. Hotel is more quiet than most for a good nights sleep.
Went with my daughter and grandbaby. The first room we had was not cleaned, the toilet over flowed and there was food or fluids white and crusty on the carpet between the beds. They moved us to another room. The next day requested some coffe to make in our room and it was like pulling teeth tp get it. Staff was not very pleasant. They were supposed to have a manager comtact us and that never happened. Been a Marriott member for a few uears and I must say this was not one of my best stays.
Receptionist had asked my wife if we’d like a first floor room. What we didn’t know when we said yes was, the first floor rooms have direct access to the courtyard! There are seating areas in the courtyard along with a gas fireplace, but being able to just take a walk without going through hotel reception is a great benefit.Unlike most hotel rooms where the only means of fresh air is through an hvac duct, air in this one -thanks to that sliding door- can be kept fresh! Big plus! The room was not the cleanest, but it’s ok. Nothing that raises a red flagAll the amenities you would need at a single night stay roadside motel are there; a microwave, a fridge, a safe, an ironing board etc. I used to think these are just standard amenities, but well, you’d be surprised...
My family had the best time at this hotel. We were only 1.5 miles from the hotel but stayed for 2 nights so the grands could enjoy the pool. The grands and the adults all enjoyed it! The room and hotel was very clean and tastefully decorated. Pool and area was very clean and nice. Small menu but wonderfully tasty, and staff very friendly and accommodating. GM was also extremely nice and accommodating.
From the time I called to see if my room was ready prior to check-in time to the moment I checked out, this stay was fabulous. Denise has excellent customer service skills and truly made our time there amazing. The room was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. Denise called after we got settled in to ensure the room met our standards and to see if we needed anything else. Those touches go a long way in choosing hotels and returning to them in the future.
The staff were all friendly. The hotel appears to have been built out of wood. In some locations, this would be acceptable. However, a hotel that sits right on the highway, this is not a great idea. Not only is the road noise very loud, but the floors in the hotel are noisy. As a rather frequent traveler, I try to be courteous to my neighbors. The floors in this hotel make this virtually impossible. As you walk around in the room, the floors creak, and the wall unit that the television sits on shakes. Its like a child is jumping up and down. When I was checking in, the young lady asked me if I had a floor preference. After being in the room, I understood why. The noise in the room below, had to be annoying. We travel between our two homes throughout the year, and have decided to start breaking up the drive. This location is half way for us. However, as a Marriott member, this will not be our hotel of choice.
The staff at the Courtyard Brunswick was excellent. I stayed there for a month and it was one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Monicke and Heather were by far the best employees there. They always greeted me by name and took great care of me. Ricky and Jamie were great as well. They were very friendly and accommodating. The rest of the staff was excellent as well but these four made my trip much more comfortable than it would have been without them. I never fill out customer satisfaction surveys but I felt the need to do so this time so that the management would know just how wonderful the staff is and how satisfied I was with there service. Thanks,Matt
NOISE! That is where Ill start. If youre okay with road noise. There is plenty from I95. If you dont mind floors that sound like an old house. This place is for you. When we were checking in, the girl says, the only 3rd floor rooms I have are by the elevator. This should have been my que to suspect there have been many complaints about the rooms above. The person who checked us in was very nice. The bed, pillows and linens were fine. The bathroom was fair. Tub, sink and counter area were clean. People have abused the wallpaper, and it should be replaced, as it is quite gross. The rest of the room is just okay. Nothing special or negative about it.We will not make the hotel a regular stop, when traveling, which we do often.
I have only great things to say about this hotel and the staff! The staff happily accommodated my last minute request for a room and later adjusted my reservation (without penalty) when we had to check out a day early due to illness. Each staff member, including housekeepers, that we encountered was friendly and asked if we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable. Our room was beautiful and CLEAN; beds were super comfy! Im very particular about where I lay my head when away from home, and this hotel exceeded my expectations. Thanks for a great stay!
Before reserving a room, I checked both Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews of the Marriott Brunswick hotel. Both sites showed 4.0-5.0 ratings and corresponding narratives. I have to agree. After spending two nights at this property, I can affirm a 5.0 rating is warranted for both living conditions and staff. First, the Desk CSR Rickey made the check-in seamless. My request for a specific room was accommodated with a smile - not a - I dont know. The afternoon Desk CSR - Monique - was very cool. I forgot my thumb drive and she helped me by offering to use hers. Saved me trip to Walmart. The food staff did a phenomenal job providing breakfast. Though there was a charge, the charge was waived since I was a frequent miles member. The cook, Mary - made the best eggs, bacon, fries, and toast I consumed in many months. Well done. Lastly, the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was of excellent quality. This hotel provided pillows of different softness levels. I cant stand one grade of pillow - hard. I did use the workout room. Same as the rest - dumbbells and stair step machines - no wow factor to report. The pool was cool in that they installed a pivot -transfer machine to assist physically challenged guests into the pool. Sensitized property management for those who cant get around as well - nice job on that score. Overall - 4.5
The overall experience was amazing. Many facilities show significant difference in customer service from day staff to night staff; not here, top-notch throughout. Very professional, pleasure to speak with, knowledgeable of activities surrounding the area. The Bistro food was some of the best tasting food we have experienced as travelers. Our room was not only stylish but extremely clean. Thank you for a great experience!!
The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in October 2015 and the weather was very pleasant. Our room was clean, and we enjoyed having a balcony. Housekeeping was super friendly and greeted us with smiles in the morning. The breakfasts were fast and delicious!
My partner and I traveled to the GA coast to visit St Simons and Jekyll Islands. We wanted to find a low cost and nice hotel in nearby Brunswick. Marriott never disappoints and they didnt this time either. The room was clean and sizable. The bed was very comfortable, not too soft and not too firm. We reserved the King Suite with the jetted tub. The jetted tub was a nice touch although I will suggest not to use too much bath bubbles as the jets will multiple the bubbles enormously. Other than that, the room was nice and we had a nice experience. There is a bistro downstairs. We didnt find the breakfast menu to be all that diverse so we walked to the Dennys that was literally next door and had a great breakfast there. The check in process was simple for us because we checked in using the Marriott Mobile app so all we had to do was walk in and get our key cards and at check out, turn them in. I recommend using the mobile app to complete check in and check out. Jekyll Island was about 15 minutes away and so was St Simons island. This is a good hotel for anyone going to that area for the beach.
I think everything was available in he hotel and I didnt really need to go out for the basics, which was nice. The prices were reasonable and the food was actually really good! It was like restaurant quality in my opinion. The only problem I had with my entire stay was with the wifi. I think there were just too many people trying to get on it at the same time. It wasnt a big deal, just didnt work for me ever. I loved the location of the hotel too. The seclusion was nice cause it offered you a place to run outside if you didnt want to use the fitness room. The fitness room was convienient, but it was really hot in there always so it was hard to run for a while with out getting too hot.
Very nice 3 star hotel. The two queen bedroom was very comfortable and clean. Theres a limited menu restaurant on-site and the lobby is inviting. Theres also a guest laundry and a not so special fitness room. I was just passing thru so I only stayed one night, but I wanted to stay another night but they were totally booked. It was so nice there. The location does not have lots of restaurants and shopping but there is a lot of building going on, should be nicer in a few months. Most restaurants and shopping center is on other side of the freeway about 2 miles away.
I was on my way home to NC from FL when my car broke down and I was forced to stay overnight in Brunswick. Monica, who checked me in, was extraordinarily helpful and courteous. The woman who was tending the Bistro was also very courteous and attentive. Food was great (had wings and fries)! I chose Courtyard because I was able to use my Marriott Rewards points but would not hesitate to pay full price to stay at a place that had such clean rooms, comfortable bed, good food and wonderful staff!! Thank you for making my stressful day a peaceful night.
The staff is absolutely fabulous here! They take an interest in their customers and make them feel right at home. Everything is clean and very stylish while being welcoming and comfortable. The whirlpool King suite is competitive in price to other local hotels rooms that do not have nearly as many amenities. If I could live in this hotel room, I would.
I checked in & was given a room on the second floor. The lady at the counter was very nice. I went to my room & got settled. First thing I noticed was how dusty the room was. Next i noticed the ac unit cords out (we had a crawling baby). Then I got in the shower & there was hair in it that did not belong to me. The final thing was stains on the carpet. One looked like dirty the other like cool aid. I stay at the Marriott brand hotel all the time & I no that this is not the Marriot standard. Maybe they need to hire better housekeepers.
We stayed here as a stopover on our way to South Florida. Weve stayed here before and like Marriott due to it being allergy-friendly: smoke-free and pet-free. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy. The only complaint I have is that I thought the room felt humid. Not sure if the A/C wasnt working just right or what. We stayed here before and did not have this problem. This wouldnt prevent me from staying here again. However, it was very clean and no smells.
Monique was so nice an accommodating when I called to make reservations. We were on our way home from FL to VA & car broke down with transmission problems. Called to see if they had any rooms available & she said come on & that our room would be ready. We had been up since 3 am & it was 10 am when we broke down. The tow truck driver took us there & it also was our 35 wedding anniversary day & Monique put signs in our room saying Happy Anniversary with water, snacks, & 2 small bottles of champagne. So so thoughtful & just made our day. Also, Moses who worked at the Bistro was so nice & kind & gave wonderful Customer Service. There are still kind, Sweet thoughtful people in this world. Thanks again our experience could have been so bad & they made it so much better. Bob was nice too ❤️
Last night we had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. The hotel itself was extremely clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. The bistro and starbucks were very convenient to have in the lobby. The room was comfortable, the bed was possibly the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. Having a loveseat in the room with the tv able to swivel was a nice touch. The service from Tasha was outstanding. From the moment we walked in the door she had a smile on her face, was so friendly and welcoming. Every time we encountered her she was very helpful and attentive. She made our stay extremely comfortable. It’s not often you see that level of customer service.
Stayed at the Courtyard Brunswick, GA for 2 weeks while training at the FLETC Academy just a few miles away. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Check-in was fast and easy. The rooms were clean and housekeeping staff made sure I had everything I needed. There were 27 of us staying at the hotel who were attending the training and the staff even planned a small party on our last night providing free buffalo wings to all of us for an hour. Fitness center was a tad small but clean. I did not use the pool since it was too cold outside. All in all staying here was a great experience right down to every detail. Staff even cleaned the grill and provided us with utensils when some of us wanted to have a cookout.
The front desk was more than helpful to my classmates and I. The manager extended an invite for us to use the meeting room for our Study Hall sessions. The maids gave fresh sheets if you asked and wrote a note back saying they got your request and left complimentary chocolate:). After we graduated the hotel celebrated us with food!
Terrible customer service by Monique. I never received my reservation confirmation for an upcoming stay. I spoke with Monique several times over the last several weeks; each time I spoke with her, she became more rude, and more annoyed with me. The bottom line was she had typed in my email address -- both email addresses -- incorrectly which is why I never received the confirmation emails. When I asked for a cancellation confirmation number to document I had cancelled the rooms, she told me they dont have cancellation confirmations. I had to contact the 1-800 number for Marriott hotels in order to have them send me an email cancellation confirmation -- which is how I found out she had typed in the email address wrong for the FOUR times she insisted she corrected my email address, and sent me the confirmations. Because of this recent experience with Monique, I will never stay in another Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, ever again.
This is the ideal hotel for me and I will continue to stay here from now on- the beds are amazing, the rooms are quiet and spacious. I love being able to grab dinner from their lobby bistro instead of having to go out after a long work day. The food is outstanding and staying here just made my business trip much more pleasant.
I was driving from Charlottesville, VA to Orlando, FL and couldnt drive any farther, so I stopped at the Courtyard. What a pleasant surprise. The hotel was recently renovated, including the addition of a Bistro in the lobby. The Bistro was awesome. I had a light dinner with wine and an early breakfast and both were very good. My room was very nice, and the bed/mattress gave me a great nights sleep. The bathroom was very clean and efficient. Id definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on i-95 who needs a place to stay overnight. You wont be disappointed.
I have stayed at this property several times and they never let me down. It always looks like it was just built and the staff are very attentive and extremely friendly. I have tried other hotels in the Brunswick area and always choose to come back to this one. The breakfast offerings are good, the hotel is extremely clean, I have never had noise issues, and the staff is top-notch!
What an amazing experience! The staff was super friendly and helpful from check in to check out. One morning someone coming into work for the day opened the elevator for me and pushed my floor number because both my hands were full with breakfast items. This was a very pleasant visit at a very clean hotel.
I LOVE the Marriott brand and I have, prior to this, had fantastic experiences at courtyards. This property, some of the staff is rude, the floors are thin, so stay on 3rd floor unless you want to hear every footstep of your upstairs neighbor. The beds are hard, the floor may have been more comfortable.
We stopped overnight on a long distance road trip, and had a good experience. The room was nice and clean, and we were checked in and in our room very quickly (we arrived around 9:30 PM). The free wifi left something to be desired in that it didnt seem all that high speed - after sitting and waiting on one webpage to load for at least a minute, I upgraded to the enhanced wifi and had no more problems. I dont need super fast, but a full minute or more for one simple webpage is not really high speed. We requested and extra blanket for our room and it was provided very quickly. All around a nice stay other than the Internet issue. Reasonable rate.
We stayed here as a family as we explored the Golden Isles. It was an easy drive to Jekyll Island, St Simmons, and Sea Island. We also drove up to see Savannah thats not too far away. The hotel staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and updated with plenty of space and comfortable beds. Easy to get to just off the highway. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip.
Rooms and amenities are just right at this location with a gym offering two treadmills, an elliptical, and dumbbells for use. The beds and rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant however on site is lacking with no continental breakfast offered except expensive al la carte coffee and bagels and dinner foods that are fried or microwaved and $16 glasses of wine.
We are Bonvoy members and deliberately spent more to stay at a Marriott property, not for the loyalty points but with an expectation of exceptional quality for a higher than competitive price. We were disappointed that while our stay was acceptable, it was nothing better than what we experienced at much less expensive properties.
During Hurricane Matthew this hotel was an exceptional experience. We were there for 3-days and even though we lost power, the overall experience as as good as it gets under the circumstances.Very well run and organized. Outstanding customer service, food quality excellent. A+ Thank you
I was here for work for a couple of days and was impressed in particular with the friendliness of the staff. They consistently greeted guests in a cheerful manner and seemed genuinely interested in making people feel welcomed and comfortable. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
From check in to check out everyone was extremely friendly. The rooms are comfortable especially the beds. The day after I left I needed my folio to be sent to me again. The lady that answered the phone was courteous and I had my receipt in minutes. I would definitely stay at this property again.
Housekeeping tried to come into my room at 8:30 but I had the deadbolt on so they left. They came back thirty minutes and knocked on the door again. I told them to go away. I eventually talked to the manager and she said shed address it. But the whole situation seemed odd to me.
No continental breakfast here, but they do have one of those overpriced bistros. The food is already prepared, they just warm it up. If I was making the breakfast sandwich for someone else, and it turned out the way I received it, I would have given it to my dog. Eggs were burnt. Unacceptable. Prices are high for the quality. Our meals were vouchered (paid for), however I still found myself paying for decent meals like at Dennys next door. There was a tip jar, so if you like tipping fast food employees, like Burger King, you may. On Thursday night, they gave our group a free beer and plenty of chicken wings. That was cool. Most employees were very helpful.
The fact that this hotel has a good rating dumbfounds me. The customer service was horrid at the front desk, and they were severely understaffed. One of the sheets had stains all over it. When I called the front desk to request new sheets they did not answer. I had to personally go to the front desk only to be handed new sheets that had holes in it. The carpet was so sticky that our shoes needed to remain on our feet. The tub was dirty, the curtain was stained, the armchair was filthy, etc.... Its not the worst place you could stay, but for a Marriott, it is completely unexceptable. Take my advice: listen to the bad ratings and keep driving.
This hotel and staff were excellent and I had one of the best customer service experiences ever with them. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a hotel in the area to stay there. The rooms are always clean and very spacious. The staff again was very friendly and made me feel at home.
Modern hotel, exterior and interior, clean room and comfortable bed. Drinks and food are not out of the extra-ordinary, but they have a wide selection of beer and good tasting dinner and breakfast menu. Great lobby ambience and convenient location that is close to the the mall, restaurants, town.Has outdoor pool and fitness center; the latter was under construction and, disappointingly, unavailable for use during my stay. I suggest put a footnote or notice in its website non-operational amenity which would have been an important deciding criterion for me in the choice of hotel.
When we check into the hotel the system was down for hours. So there was no why to use the internet for business and my kids to be entertain. So we left the hotel after dropping iff our bags. When we return and went to bed the power went off in the hotel for houra so my family was uncomfortable and my daughter cried during the whole time. The heat woke us all up. The tv barely had all the channels because if the earlier system falure. We really did not have a Marriot experience of comfort im very disappointed in my stay.0
I never write reviews but Im so frustrated and I want to help others that may have similar challenges. I have been a Marriott Gold Reward member for years. Have stayed in Marriott all over the country. I recently stayed at this location and was registered to stay for three days. On my second day, I got very ill in the night and my adult daughter and I needed to leave early to get me to the Dr. I called the desk and explained. They said they checked me out and would email me my receipt. When I got my bill it was for 3 days. For the next 6 weeks, I worked to get my bill corrected. I was repeatedly told that I didnt check out. I did check out over the phone like Ive done countless times in other locations as well as this location.I never received a corrected bill that I needed for my expense reimbursement only a rate adjustment.I stay in this area frequently for business and pleasure but will never stay in this location again.I expect better from Marriott properties.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we walked in, the person at the front desk was extremely rude. The room itself wasnt any better: the sheets on one of the beds were stained, and when we got new sheets, it had holes in it. The curtains had stains, the tub was dirty, the floor was so sticky that we didnt even take our shoes off. Do not go to this hotel.
We stayed here for one night on a little family getaway to st. Simons. Everything was good. My only complaint was that it took FOREVER for the jet tub in our room to fill up and it wouldnt drain properly. Not a huge deal but it was a little frustrating to have to wait an hour for it to fill up and sit holding the plug open so it could drain.
Overall I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff in the café/bar area was great. The morning crew was always happy and the evening crew was very helpful and always smiling. The Operations Manager (I think that is her title) at the front desk was also pleasant and professional. Now for the issue that I had: I was originally in room 333 until Tuesday night. It was about 11:30pm when I realized that there was a leak in the ceiling. I initially thought it was just the rain hitting the window however I realized that it was a leak inside the room. I called the front desk to advise of the issue and the female who answered gave me the impression that I was bothering her. I told her that I wanted het to know of the situation so that she or maintenance can take a look to determine if it needed immediate attention. I quickly realized that she was not very concerned as she said Management will take a look in the morning. She was about to hang up when I told her that I could not sleep in the room with the dripping sound hitting the towels that I put down. I then had to ask her if there was another room that I may move into. She rudely stated that the only room she had was on the first floor. I told her that I did not care where it was but that I needed to get some sleep as I had an early morning. She was very short with me and hung up.I gathered my belongings and bags, when approximately 20 minutes later I got a call from the employee asking if I was coming down. I do not recall verbatim what her words were but I believe it was something like So, are you coming down or what? She did not address me by name or even identify herself, she only asked the question. At this time, I was annoyed and only said Yes, in a few minutes. With all of my bags and belongings in hand, I approached the front desk and attempted to identify myself however before I could, she handed me a key and tells me the room number and that it is to the left. I then asked her for another key as she only provided me with one. She very rudely, and what seemed to be reluctantly coded another keycard and with a quick motion handed it me. I then asked for her name and without picking her head up she stated her name, almost sarcastically. Aside from this employee I had a pleasant stay here however I expected much more and do not appreciate this employee acting like I was bothering her when it was a hotel issue at midnight. Management was notified and so was Marriott through the survey.
The guest services could definitely use some coaching up, from check in procedures to overall assisting the lodgers. The restaurant area is clean and nice but, again, some issues with personal etiquette re: the bartender. Im also still a little uncertain why platinum members dont get at least a free breakfast at a Courtyard while at much higher rated Marriott properties they get that and a bit more.
I travel pretty often for business, so have seen a fair share of rooms around the country. Checked in very late (1am) but the desk officer was present and attentive. The room, bed, bathroom is equal to many higher-end hotels that I have stayed in. Very spacious, and the bedding/towels are good quality. Breakfast the next morning was beyond the standard plate-warmer buffet fare, and was a great way to get started.
I encountered several issues at this facility on my most recent stay in the area. I usually stay in this facility every time I am in the area but will consider alternatives next trip. Issues included terrible internet connectivity- even when purchasing enhanced service, noisy mechanical systems near my room preventing a decent night of rest, lights that would not work in the bathroom necessitating me showering and shaving in the dark. The most troublesome aspect was when I tried to discuss it with personnel at the front desk at checkout- including the obvious maintenance man who was delivering lunch to several staff members from outside the hotel- they were more concerned with divvying up lunch than attending to my concerns. Nobody even apologized.
I frequent Brunswick on business and always stay at this property. The hospitality and service is fairly consistent. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired where Im concerned. I dont eat eggs and every option has eggs so I end up getting less than Im paying for because I ask them to omit the eggs and I am not offered an option of substituting the eggs. This past stay the sheets were awful. They were pilling and it felt like I had a million crumbs in the bed. I guess theyre using low thread count sheets. I dont expect them to have 1000 thread count sheets on the beds, as I do at home, but I do expect the beds to be reasonably comfortable without that feeling of crumbs in the bed; this makes for a very scratchy night’s sleep. The location is very convenient with easy on/off interstate access and isnt too far from several restaurants. This is my go to place in Brunswick as there are only 2 Marriott properties and this one is definitely better than the other Marriott option in town!
This is a very convenient location, easy on and off Rte I-95. The rooms are clean and spacious and the restaurant menu and beverages offer something for everyone. It would be beneficial to guests if one other person were hired there to take orders and serve the customers. Otherwise, its a nice one-stop-for-all-your-needs hotel.
I stayed at this hotel for approximately 50 nights between April and August of 2015. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional and made me feel like I was at home. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I recommend this hotel for its convenient location, pleasant room, and friendly staff with its quick attention to any issues that arose, which were all minor. A nice place to stay!!
Even with a computer mix-up with our reservation, we had such a pleasant experience from start to finish. Monica at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was a success. The hotel is immaculate and the grounds are well-lit and safe, as Ive come to expect from Courtyard.
My most recent stay at the Courtyard in Brunswick went very well. Ive stayed at this hotel at least five times in the last year and, while I had one or two issues with previous stays, I think theyve ironed out those problems as everything went as well as can be expected. All the employees at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
We stopped here to sleep after a long day of driving and were pleasantly surprised by the Courtyard Brunswick. The staff was nice, especially the woman who checked us in at such a late hour. The rooms were comfortable and updated, and the floor was quiet. This is a great stop for those who are traveling on I-95 as it is close to restaurants and to the highway. We would stay here again if in the area.
Just completed my 2 week stay here and I must say it was a great experience. Rooms were clean, grounds were clean, and staff was very friendly and accomodating. I was staying with a group of 27 for a training class at the FLETC training center in Brunswick. One night they allowed us to use the gas grill and even cleaned it up and changed the old gas tank out for us. My room was cleaned and restocked with fresh towels and supplies every day. Everyone was very friendly right down to the janitorial staff who would always say hello in passing. Every day when we walked in after class a desk worker greeted us with a friendly hello. The bartending/waitress staff were also very friendly and served up drinks and food rather quickly. All in all it was a great experience to feel like home away from home at this hotel. Keep up the great work!
It was nice, I like Marriott hotels in general. Its a fairly standard hotel, with a couple nice touches like a bench in the shower but its clean and the guy at the front desk was actually really helpful. Its also right next door to a Dennys which I personally appreciate.
Christine at the front desk was fantastic about cheerfully and helpfully arranging our large familys stay so that everyone was comfortable. The hotel was completely renovated recently....everything looks great! Courtyards are known for having among the most comfortable beds in the industry...and this location is no exception. We would definitely stay here again next time.
We had a great stay at the Marriott... Staff was very friendly and the rooms met our expectations. The bed could have been a little softer ... And of course there is road noise but you have to expect that when the hotel is right off 95 .All in all we would stay there again.
Our stay at the Courtyard Brunswick was exceptional! The staff, the accommodations, and the food [a nice surprise] was excellent. All of it upheld the best of the Marriott traditions when it comes to taking good care of its guests! We are definitely doing to be looking for Marriotts in future travels!!
One of the reasons we chose Courtyard Brunswick was its location, a very short drive from the I-95 exit. The hotel has a nicely appointed lobby/dining area that gives a great first impression. Our room was spacious enough and clean. The staff was efficient and friendly. We would definitely choose this location again.
We were fortunate to discover a Thanksgiving oasis on our drive from New York to Florida. We were happy to find a stay that included two for one, happy hour drinks. And, we could order flatbread that turned out to be delicious. Sitting in the lounge with food and drink, while watching the Bills beat Dallas, although missing family, made for an alternative to a traditional Thanksgiving.

2022-05-04Really bad location. Right next to I-95 so its loud especially at the pool. Nice pool. Lousy pool furniture. Bistro breakfast was fine with good service. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite, which was nice albeit it was worn and not secure. Parking was free with plenty of space. Elite recognition was negligible.

2022-07-30Stopped here while traveling north. Very easy to get to from highway. Was greeted by friendly front desk agent. Lobby is clean and well maintained. Room are comfortable and clean. Pool is a little small, but nice for a quick dip after driving. There is a fire pit with cushioned chair outside next to pool. The Bistro in lobby has food and drinks. Limited menu. We had the burger and quesadilla, very tasty and hot when we got food back to our room. Staff in Bistro also friendly. Overall, a very pleasant, relaxing experience.

2022-06-05Room seemingly cleaned, bed was comfortable with a contemporary style. Enjoyed the pool and service team were friendly and engaging. Disappointed with this location...theres NO Marriott Bonvey Experience👀!! Also, for the cost, NOTHING IS COMPLIMENTARY, NOT EVEN COFFEE!!!!

2022-03-03I am familiar with accommodations. I owned one for many years in Asheville, NC. Buildings, however good they are will never be the full story of guest experience. After a very long day, we entered the lobby of Courtyard By Marriott after a very long car day. We were greeted by the lovely Alicia Leary manning the front desk. She placed us in Rm 108. I am a very light sleeper and frankly, this room is not for the sound-sensitive. On the way out for dinner, Alicia asked if our visit was going well and my husband answered honestly that the expressway was impacting our stay. Not taking our polite were ok there for an answer she was on a mission to make our stay excellent. She very kindly chose another room where we enjoyed a terrific nights sleep and am now safely back home. Alicia Leary is a stand-out in customer service, kindness, care and job ownership. She is a true asset to this lodging establishment. You will enjoy your stay here. The people make the place!

2022-07-17Love this place. I stay here when I’m in town. The staff is so amazing. Only thing I would change would replace beds, just in my opinion they are a little past replacement stage but other than that everything else is excellent

2022-07-30The hotel is located in a convenient location behind the bowling alley. The hotel will need to be updated very soon in order to complete with the newer hotels in the area such as the Residence Inn and Home 2 Suites. The bathroom in the room I had wasnt great as the pictures show. The toilet wasnt bolted to the floor properly and rocked. The closet wasnt level so the drawers and doors hung open. Housekeeping was supposed to come in every other day, but there were stretches of 5 days that I did not get service which meant no new towels or sheets without asking. The front desk was friendly and the evening bartender was great. You may want to choose the $10 per person (up to 2) per day credit instead of the one time 500 points if youre staying for a while.

2022-04-11Room was clean and staff was very nice but our experience at the “bistro” is why I am giving 2 stars. You do not get what you pay for! The menu makes it sound like you’re getting something really good, with names like Margarita pizza or chicken fingers. But what I got was a super greasy over breaded pizza swimming in sauce and some tiny chicken nuggets you’d microwave from the freezer. I was over charged for a side salad (13$) but they refunded 6$ of it after I complained the next day. The staff was very inattentive to the guests and I had to ask for my drink after I paid for it. They kept leaving and coming back even though there were quite a few guests to be served. Also, they do not offer complimentary convenience items like a toothbrush.

2022-07-23Great rooms and service. Comfortable and clean. Convenient - right off I-95. Has a very nice Bistro and bar in the lobby.

2022-06-21The people were very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay nice. We at dinner at the bar and had o e drink each. He had wings and fries. He said they were cooked to perfection. I had chicken bacon quesadillas. They were delicious. We both had Jameson and ginger. Cant go wrong there. But $53 was a little pricey. The room was nice but set up screwy. The bed faced the window which had a view of the back parking lot. And the tv qas off to the left which was awkward. It was jist a one night stay when our car broke down and worked out perfectly. We also got a great rate of $86.

2022-07-24The staff are bright and incredibly nice. Everyone has contagious energy and beautiful smiles from the concierge to the housekeepers to the multitasking bistro cook.
