Creighton MMA is the best gym out there! The staff are all very professional, uplifting, encouraging, and just make being there an all around wonderful experience! My personal favorite classes are the cardio kick boxing and total body fitness! There’s definitely a family dynamic type vibe. Even if you don’t train Brazilian Jujitsu or MMA everyone on and off the mats are all positive and respectful!
Creighton MMA is amazing facility and family. There’s a dozen world class competitors in this gym. To some, this may be intimidating. But you will be shocked at how welcoming and friendly the members and staff are. There is not a shadow of a doubt of the quality of knowledge and instruction overflowing in this gym. There will not be a single day you leave a class without your brain overflowing with MMA/BJJ knowledge. All the color belts truly play as role models to the lower belts. This is not your run of the mill gym. This is where you come to grow.
In my close to 9 years of training at Creighton Mixed Martial Arts, I can offer a unique perspective in that I was both a student as well as a member of the staff in that time.A clean, safe, and ego-free environment should be expected, but CMMA goes above and beyond this. Regardless of who you are or what your goals may be, you will walk through the door and feel welcomed. Whether youre experienced in jiu-jitsu / MMA, looking to get in shape, or introducing your son or daughter to martial arts, you will quickly realize that the atmosphere is unlike anything youve experienced. The staff is everything you could ask for: attentive, genuine, and caring. Paul is an incredible instructor as well as a leader. Isaac is one of the greatest teachers Ive ever known. Logan is unmatched in his dedication to both training and teaching. T is hands down the most passionate person Ive met when it comes to the art of jiu-jitsu. Collectively, theyre the greatest team I have ever worked with and have played a significant part in my development over the years.Recently, my career pursuits have prevented me from being able to train. I miss this place and my training partners immensely. I hope to be back on the mats soon and look forward to meeting you when I do.
First time been there today, bought one month promotion membership from GP. the front desk “Logan” is very helpful and friendly. Easy to communicate as well. Also, I didn’t feel was treated in different way than others since I’m from GP. Glad that They do care about customer service. I wish they offer times card, such as 20 visits Or 10 visits for XX dollars, it Would be more beneficial for ppl like me has multiple gyms’ access and busy life schedules, don’t want to sign up for monthly membership again, and I might only have one or two classes each month. The gym is a little small and too crowded compared with other one I used to go. And too many ppl walking around the kickboxing area, so distracting and kind dirty when we do abs works out. Other ppl just walk beside my head. Since they do Kids workout, so many parents are walking around, just feel too crowded and hot inside, high humidity. Overall, today’s experience was good. Will see how it goes in a month. Then update my review again.
Talented and friendly instructors -- both for MMA and Jiu jitsu. Ive been going here for a few years, and Im still fairly new relative to most of the non-white belts. This gym has a very loyal following. Many of the people here compete and win, but I just enjoy being in the best shape of my life. Im 48 btw.
If you live anywhere near the Atlanta area, or are just visiting and looking for somewhere to train, I cannot recommend this gym enough. I started training Jiu-Jitsu (and some striking) at CMMA and continued to trained there for years. Everyone there is very welcoming and treats each other like family. The entire staff is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help. This is a great place whether you are a beginner or looking for some high level Jiu-Jitsu/Striking.
I’ve been training at Creighton MMA for about a year and a half now. It’s an awesome gym to go to. There are plenty of skilled black belts in MMA Striking and BJJ who are also friendly and great teachers. There’s a good positive attitude at this gym and it makes a great learning experience. 5 stars easy.
Before coming to Creighton MMA Ive tried several other training academies. Creighton MMA is unmatched by far. The quality of the training, the cleanliness, the environment, the professionalism, is undoubtedly unlike any other! The instructors take the time to work with you to fine tune your game no matter what skill level you are at. Best of all the people I train with respect each other where egos are left at the door. This place is great for people of all ages, shapes and sizes!
My son has taken classes and attended the summer camp at Creighton MMA. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. He loved his instructors and he learned so much from the academy. My son had so much fun and did not want to leave. The academy is very clean and welcoming. The waiting area is perfect as you can watch your kids take class or hang out in the comfortable lobby. The adult classes have something for everyone, beginner to advanced.
The fact that I travel 45 minutes to an hour to train here should say it all ! Professor Creighton holds a Black Belt in both BJJ and Judo, is an outstanding wrestler and a UFC Veteran. The academy truly is a one stop shop. They offer classes in both Gi and No gi Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Kickboxing and Fitness. The instruction from both Paul and his staff is top notch and Im so thankful that I found them!
Best gym I’ve ever been to hands down. All the instructors are so nice and create a family feel in the gym. I started with the fitness kickboxing and total body fitness and eventually upgraded my membership to include the striking and jiujitsu classes. I had such a great experience and was sad to leave when I moved out of state. Thank you Paul for creating such a special environment.
I dropped in for a bjj class (brown belt) while in town for business. Paul, Tyler and Jason the instructors were very welcoming and friendly. I had some solid takeaways I can add to my game. The instructors made sure to spend time with me reviewing the fine details to ensure I was doing the techniques correctly. The gym was very clean and spacious.
This school is awesome. Professor Paul welcomed me like I was already a part of the school as soon as I walked through the door. I came for a trial class and from start to finish everyone was nice, place was clean(temperature checks), and the facility is amazing altogether. As a newbie to BJJ and MMA with only a boxing background I was given 1 on 1 coaching the entire class. Coach Orlando was patient, gave clear concise communication and encouraging. Professor Isaac was great with demonstration, as well. They legit want their students to be the best that THEY can be. Not competing against anyone else but yourself. They take the time to invest in you getting better from what I could tell. The layout is awesome and they promote getting betting. I hope to return asap. My apologies for not knowing the difference between Professor and Coach.
I recently joined the gym. It was such a great experience. Coaches and/or instructors are very knowledgeable of what they do. They are full of energy and make sure we all participle and achieve our fitness goals. I am also impressed by the folks I work out with, given their dedication and persistence. LOVE the gym😍
I went here for the Fitness kickboxing and the Total body fitness class and it has been such an amazing experience. The trainers are super nice and do such a good job on helping you stay on top of the workouts. Everyone there is just so sweet and make you feel very comfortable. I will definitely recommend!
Great local gym for your aspiring BJJ martial artist. Kids and adult classes. The people make all the difference. Up-beat and positive energy from the front desk to the instructors gets my 6 year old excited about attending class. Its a confidence building experience for him each time he visits. He receives quality time with instructors whom are at an arms reach as he learns these new techniques and plenty of verbal instruction and positive affirmation.Instructor to student ratio is the best we have experienced at 1:2 (so far its not been more) and the sense of comrade and brotherhood/family is prevalent. I have yet to visit when Paul himself is not there.Check their website as they have more to offer. Their academy includes fitness, kickboxing, open mat, BJJ, MMA and weight room/cardio.
This gym is amazing! My son is 7 and was apprehensive about most sports, but when I took him here his confidence level went through the roof. The coaches remembered him after just one visit and greeted him with high fives and excitement. Each coach takes time with the students and gives them positive feedback and instruction throughout the whole lesson. Very beginner friendly, they helped him with everything from day one so he understood what to do and didn’t feel left out. In one month he has learned a ton and asks EVERY SINGLE DAY if he can go. Paul is so nice and friendly and gets to know everyone who goes there , it’s like a community when we go. I have two younger kids who are always with me and they are welcomed and feel at home too. I used the groupon to try it out and we are hooked. If you are looking for a program to help your kids gain strength, confidence, and life skills while having a blast, look no further! The only thing I wish was that I could bring him more days because of how much he loves it, give this place a try you won’t regret it!
I just realized I have yet to add a review for this place. I love this place and Paul is one of the best there is he is a very positive and Passionate Coach and made me excited to go and even be at a gym which I never had before. It reminded me of the days when I was little and my mom used to take me to Karate classes how I couldnt wait to go. His gym and members grows every time I check in and even if I am unable to go if I ask a question or reach out he has still kept in contact and replied like nothing changed and that is a great feeling. It honestly feels like a Family with him and other members here. I cant wait for me to get a schedule together so I can consistently go back but there isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about this place since it was my first Gym I actually fell in love with and also the Very first MMA Family I have made. If you are looking for a Home Spot to start from scratch or even Build yourself on, this is it!
CMMA is one of the best environments i’ve ever been around, regardless of the subject matter. The family aspect is prevalent the moment you step foot into the gym. The staff is super beginner friendly and helpful; The technique is very good and competitive, which leaves a great array of training styles for the competitor and the average joe. the days I have classes are always the highlight of my week.
Paul is a class act. Hes a highly decorated, accomplished Martial Artist that knows how to ensure everyone has fun. Its cool that you can learn Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling and more in a single class. I really appreciate his leadership style. Hes super humble, and this seems to have rubbed off on everyone in the gym. There are some very experienced instructors here, but theyre all humble as well. And that spills over into the student population where Ive had advanced level students work with me, and as a new guy there is so much value in that. Just a great environment, and a humbling but positive experience. I highly recommend it!
Creighton MMA is very unique compared to what their competitors offer. I’ve done a lot of research and Creighton MMA is the only option in the area that practices the lessons learned by sparring each day with a partner. This was very important for me, because I wanted my sons to feel comfortable when applying what they learn. Most of the other facilities only punch air and kick air, but all of this is worthless if you don’t get an opportunity to practice using the moves in a real situation. This difference by itself is enough for a five star rating, but then you add Paul and his team, which are very professional, fun, and really good at teaching. My kids love it, and they have learned so much.
This place is the bomb! Every instructor is super helpful and friendly, no matter the person or skill level. Ive never had a shy or embarrassing moment there, it just doesnt happen. After every class I walk away with noticeable improvements in technique, knowledge, and execution 💪
Creighton MMA is a great place to learn self defense. I have been training here for 4 years now and I highly recommend the jiu jitsu classes if you are a woman looking to learn a self defense skill while looking for a great way to work out. (You can burn 300-800 calories in a class!) I will break this review down into 5 categories.Cleanliness: 5 stars. The place is kept very clean and the mats are always cleaned after class. The bathrooms are kept clean. The place is nice, organized, and well decorated.Quality: 5 stars. The people who work at Creighton are always friendly and inviting. There are excellent teachers in all the classes (I mainly take the jiu jitsu, kickboxing, and TBF classes) and they make the classes fun and exciting.Price: 5 stars. They charge competitive rates compared with other MMA gyms in the area and with the quality of training they provide you cant put a price on that.Location: 5 stars. Its right down the street from where I work so its perfect for me. Its located in Suwanee right next to a rock climbing gym which makes it really fun for the kids summer camp classes because they get to go climbing too!Members: 5 stars. There are a wide variety of ages, races, and backgrounds that come to this gym and the best thing about all the members is that they are all friendly and there to work out and have fun. In jiu jitsu, my teammates are always willing to teach each other different moves and work on different moves. There are a lot of really great people that go to Creighton.I would recommend this place to anyone (male or female) looking for a great place to train and workout.
Paul has done a phenomenal job creating a winning team that attracts amazing talent and a community of solid practitioners. The instructors are all top notch and the environment is family and female friendly. I’d recommend Paul Creighton MMA to anyone interested from getting in shape, to reaching their personal bjj and mma goals.
Mannnn what can I not say good about Creighton Mma!!!! I am soooo glad I joined this gym! It is a home away from home and the humility and family atmosphere this place has is next to none! I learn so much here and have been here since 2014!!!! And I’m not going anywhere! I highly recommend this mma gym for anyone who wants to learn mma or jujitsu! I had no ground game before I came here and my striking skills were very limited but I am now no longer clueless to jujitsu and have learned so much more striking wise! Egos are not allowed here so please don’t be intimidated thinking it’s just a bunch of guys that want to embarrass you and not teach you anything. Everyone here is willing to share and teach you. I love it at Creighton Mma and it’s one of the best investments I’ve made and has also contributed to getting me into the best shape of my life. While I was very sick and had to stop for a while after being hospitalized, Paul called and checked up on me and the guys all were very supportive asking if there was anything I needed to let them know! Come on man, you don’t get that everywhere 💯 I was able to bounce back and now with training and their support, I’m no longer sick, achieved my blue belt in jujitsu and my health issue has become a thing of the past and just getting better and stronger everyday. Highly recommend this gym! Sorry this is so long but as you can see this is from the heart and I’m very passionate about great things in my life that deserve praise!
We love this place! Have been members since 2016 and still going 💪strong. All the coaches and members are first amazing people, and very skilled in training. It is relaxed but work hard atmosphere. I do not want to name names because they all deserve mention. Highly recommend
Best group of people I ever could have ended up with outside of my church. Awsome talent here great instruction. The instructors are the best its like being on my high school wrestling tram all over again. Comerodery and there is intensity everything I hoped it would be and more. I couldnt say enough good things
This is a great place to train. Ive been here for about four months now and am having a great time training. The facilities and equipment and clean and well-maintained. The training center is large and spacious. Most importantly, the instructors are kind, considerate and very knowledgeable. Your training partners are helpful and want to be a part of your journey. I highly recommend Creighton Mixed Martial Arts Academy!
Paul Creighton and the CMMA team run a top notch training center. The staff is extremely friendly, the students are very welcoming, and overall everyone is judgement free and knowledgeable. My personal story: Ive participated in athletics my entire life. Around late 2016 I got the desire to sign up for jiu jitsu. I found the Creighton facility and registered for a trial class. The day I arrived for my trial I sat in my car for about 30 minutes contemplating whether or not I should go to the class. I was overcome by nerves and the idea that I was going to encounter a bunch of meat heads that wanted to choke me out. After about 30 minutes I decided that I might as well at least walk in and check things out.I walked in the front door and was greeted by Paul. He introduced me to T, Michael and Isaac before showing me around the facility. I participated in the intro class and had a blast. My preconceived notions were completely off base. For personal reasons I did not sign up for classes immediately. About 6 months later I returned to Creighton to sign up for classes. I walked in the front door and immediately Michael looked at me and said Hey, whats up Graham? -- I couldnt believe this dude remembered my name from one meeting, 6 months prior.Long story short: Go check out the facility. Go meet the people. Youll make new friends, lose weight, become more confident and learn self defense in the process.
Im a student here, and its a wonderful place to train! The instructors are highly skilled, experienced, and knowledgeable. Their all very friendly too! Great folks and great teammates all around! We are all here to help each other get better, and you can get into great shape here as well. I highly reccomended Creighton MMA. Great for all ages!
I have trained here off and on for years. Not only is the instruction fantastic the community Paul Creighton and his team have created is warm and welcoming. I enjoy many of the classes and fitness areas but the best thing is the people that are members and staff are just great people and when you have choices, this one is easy to make. I fully recommend this place.
I have been at this gym for over 10 years now. I have trained with my dad and brother the whole time. This place is an excellent facility and all the staff are amazing. As an owner of a martial arts school myself I can honestly say these guys get it. They are great motivators and unbelievable mixed martial artists. The brotherhood and friendships are my favorite part. Everyone is very kind and all egos are left at the door. Highly recommend this academy.
We love this place! Paul Creighton and his staff are very friendly! Family atmosphere. We love all the classes in Creighton MMA Academy! Great place for the whole family! All the instructors always ready to help you and your kids to reach the goals in sport activities! Thank you!
I love this place. I started training in this gym about 9 months ago. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am 5 6 and when I started around 340 lbs. Given how big I am was hoping for a gym that would be non judgemental. Since the first minute that i step in the students and instructors have been extremely welcoming and just all around amazing. If you are interested but have a doubt about the place I would suggest coming in for a class and see for yourself how great this place is.
My son first joined this gym about 4 years ago. Let me tell you, these guys have had such a positive impact on him. His self confidence has skyrocketed as his skills have improved. I joined 3 years ago, & my husband recently joined. My health has improved & I feel empowered after every class. Paul has created an amazing place for the entire family. I highly recommend Creighton MMA!
I’ve been training at Creighton MMA Academy for a little under a year. Paul Creighton and his team of instructors are all so talented and highly qualified to teach the martial arts and fitness classes. I’ve never felt so welcomed and encouraged like I am here. As someone who is shy and lacks confidence, that kind of environment is very important to me. I always look forward to coming to class!
This gym is amazing!!! Such tough classes, friendly people, and an awesome staff!!! This gym has the laid back, family feel and makes you feel at home! I have been there 4 years now and cant get enough! Wouldnt want to go anywhere else!! Paul Creighton has done an awesome job at making it the best gym atmosphere around!!
I have been training at CMMA for over 11 years now and I can truly say this is one of the best jiu jitsu/mma gyms around, I have trained at several other gyms and the atmosphere Paul provides is hands down the best, The level of training partners is top level, Its also a great place for kids as well, as both of my kids have trained at CMMA for several years, Weather you are looking to learn self defense, jsut get in shape, CMMA is the place to go,
Ive trained at Creighton Mixed Martial Arts for a little more then 3 and a half years and my time spent here has had a profound impact on my life. I can clearly remember the anxiety I felt when I parked outside and made my way to the front door of the academy not knowing what to expect. But the second I walked in, I was greeted as though I was apart of a family. The atmosphere is unlike anything I have ever experienced. Paul Creighton himself is a beacon of positivity and kindness, and its reflected by all of the instructors and everyone who trains here. Isaac and T are two of the most humble, friendly and down to earth guys Ive met, and epitomize everything that makes this place so special. The environment is devoid of ego with the only focus being on one thing: continual improvement.Regardless of why you want to start training, be it for competition or just to get in shape, this place will be a catalyst in helping you reach your goals. The instructors are phenomenal and there is no shortage of people willing to help you. Huge mat space, amazing gym and fitness classes, world class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts instruction.Come in, check the place out, and even try a class, you wont be disappointed. And if youre interested but still a bit timid, I can tell you from experience, getting to the front door is the hardest part.
Professor Paul Creighton has created an awesome training environment for all martial artists. No matter your goals: Weight loss, stay in shape, dominate the cage and/or the top of the podium, this gym has what you need. Professor Creightons detailed instructions make learning new techniques easy and enjoyable. His staff and students are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend you check this place out. I did and Ill definitely be back for more soon!
We have been going to Creighton MMA for a year and have had a wonderful experience. The staff is the best, very professional and personable. They are always glad to see you and very eager to help with any issues you may have, not to mention the staff has some of the best experience in the area. Thanks Creighton MMA for what you do, and do well.
You will be met with friendly smiles and receive world class instruction at Creighton MMA Academy! The atmosphere is that of camaraderie among those who are striving to become better martial artists. I have been training BJJ at CMMA for 5 years and absolutely love it. The group fitness classes are awesome as well. I cant recommend this academy enough. Do yourself a favor and try a class today!
This is a world-class facility with GREAT instruction in bjj and mma. It also has fantastic fitness programs. To top it off, you will be in a family-friendly environment where you are taught and coached by a top-notch staff. If you are in the area, go check out Paul Creighton and CMMA…you wont be sorry you did.
I have been training in MMA and BJJ since I was 7 years old, and have spent 5 years training at Creighton. I have not spent a single day feeling anything but charismatic vibes from every person that works there and trains there, and over my time here I have not only grown my skills in the sport tremendously, but have also gained many friends in my fellow trainees, met someone who has become one of my best friends, and found a second family in the presence of Paul, T, Isaac, and all the other instuctors. If you ever have any desire to get into MMA or BJJ, or even just want a good place to workout because they also have amazing fitness classes, I highly suggest Creighton, because I promise you will not find a more welcoming place.
I have been training in BJJ at Creighton MMA for two months now and can honestly say it is one of the best decisions I have made in a long, long time. At 55 years old with absolutely no experience in grappling (plus being overweight and out of shape for many years), I am not ashamed to say I was extremely hesitant to walk through the doors that first day. But the moment I did I was greeted with a smile and made to feel quite welcome. Very quickly I understood I would be safe and in good hands here. And it has only gotten better since then. Every person here has made me feel like I belong and has encouraged me as I continue on this journey. Although I have a long, long way to go, already I am seeing benefits - in the first two months I have lost 15 pounds and mentally I feel rejuvenated and really look forward to getting out on the mats. The instruction is first-rate, and the staff are some of the finest people I have met anywhere. If you have any interest in BJJ, MMA, or fitness classes - or even if you just think you might have an interest - do yourself a favor and call or visit the academy or fill out the contact form on the website. In a month you will look back and be so happy that you did. Thank you Paul, all of the instructors, and every person there who has rolled with me. You are truly special people and I look forward to working and growing at the academy with you for many years to come.
This gym is truly amazing! I do both BJJ and the fitness classes, and have yet to be disappointed by any class. None of the fitness classes are the same, so each workout is new, keeping things interesting. The most important part though is how it is all about you becoming a better version of yourself every time you walk through the door. The instructors/staff make this top priority, and will give you all of the individual help you need to succeed. The community among fellow members is also amazing, with everyone helping and encouraging each other through every class. Not only have I lost weight, giving me a greater sense of self-confidence, but I have gained friends/an extended family. I would never go back to any ordinary gym.
I have been training here for close to 3 months now and have had nothing but the best experience. The staff is very supportive and helpful in getting you to where you need to be. Also the level of talent inside the classes are remarkable. The biggest thing I believe is when you get to the gym and feel the comradery amongst the people in class(very positive place). Its a way to separate yourself from the everyday workflow and feel part of the Team at CMMA . Would highly recommend coming and checking it out for yourself.
I visited this academy while on a basketball trip for my son. This place is not far from Suwannee Sports Academy & several other major businesses & restaurants. Its one of the best looking, up to date, & cleanest places that I have ever trained at. The instruction by Pro. Creighton was awesome! It had to be almost 60-70 people in class & open mat! I will also say that his students are very good. I will come here again & recommend all my friends that are in the area to do so too!
I love this place! Paul and the staff are outstanding. My wife and I joined recently and we both agree that we wish we had known about this place sooner. We truly appreciate the very positive and challenging environment the owner and staff have created for their students.
This place is really great. From the first day I felt very welcomed. I was intimidated before I came, but everyone greeted me with a smile and the instructors were all personable and friendly so immediately I felt relaxed and signed up! Paul is such a friendly guy and always makes an effort to be personable with everyone that takes classes here and it really makes you feel like you are a part of this place and that is very encouraging. Paul has also been flexible with me since I signed up knowing I may be moving soon. I do the MMA striking, and BJJ no gi classes and I really like them all! Isaac is a great instructor for MMA. BJJ has many instructors but the classes are always good, I learn something everyday and it is so fun to try out new moves. There arent so many ladies in the classes but all of the ones Ive trained with are very nice. Everyone is always very patient with me since Im new and I hope to keep continuing for a long time!! Thanks Paul!
I have never felt more comfortable in a gym than I do at Creighton Mixed Martial Arts. Being a member for over a year now, I feel like I have found a place that far exceeds anything I thought an academy could offer. Experienced and highly knowledgeable staff, friendly peers (of all levels), encouraging and motivating mentors, clean and professional environment.... I cannot say enough great things about CMMA. Whether you are interested in competing or just trying to reach some overall fitness goals, this is the place to do it. Ive learned more about myself and my limits in the past year than I could have ever imagined, I have made some wonderful friends, and have had some very fun times. Thats worth more than any membership fee, at any gym. I look forward to many years of training with this team, under Paul Creighton, and surrounded by the passion you can tell fills the building.
I wrestled in high school and was looking for a gym to get my son’s into a more active lifestyle. I personally went and took the introductory class at Creighton MMA for Jiu-Jitsu and also the one for MMA. Both classes were fantastic and pushed me to my limits, and the instructors were very personable. We enrolled our oldest son in the kid’s program because he was really quiet and afraid of trying new things. The instructors in the kids program worked one on one with him his first day because they saw how afraid he was. Over the last couple years I have had the opportunity to watch both of my sons grow both physically and emotionally due to the training they have received at Creighton MMA. Paul has really built a great gym and the instructors are phenomenal. I wouldn’t take my sons anywhere else. I look forward to the day when I get enough time to start training at Creighton MMA. Go check them out. You will be impressed.
I am enrolled in the Academy as are my 4 Grandchildren ages 11, 13, 13 and 14. I cant say enough good things about this school. It is like being part of an extended family. The instruction is top flight with excellent, highly qualified instructors. They take an active part in personalizing each persons training, whether the class be individual or group.Paul is a highly skilled, world class martial arts practitioner but his talents go far beyond that. He is highly educated in sports medicine and is a patient and skilled teacher who has surrounded himself with a first rate staff.Truly a world class operation.
This academy and Jiu Jitsu have changed my life. I walked into this place weighing 230lbs and through Jiu Jitsu i now weigh 185lbs. Paul Creighton is an amazing person and the staff at CMMA is no different. Most MMA gyms like this dont have the most welcoming atmosphere but as soon as you walk into CMMA you are welcomed with smiling faces and an amazing waiting room as well as workout area with top notch equipment and trainers. I really love this place and 100% recommend for anyone trying to get into MMA!
This is an awesome place to learn BJJ/MMA. There is something for everyone. If you want to compete IBJJF, there are people to train with there that will get you ready for that. If dont want to compete, you dont have to. Paul teaches in a way thats easy to digest and retain whats being taught. Pauls accolades speak for itself. Some of the most decorated competitors come to Paul to get training before major events like ADCC, etc. Renzo Gracie said it best in a video when he said when learning from Paul, your indirectly learning from him.The MMA program is as legit as it comes. Once you get to the advanced classes, you can see how good everyone is. Very fluid and technical. The facility itself is A1. Lots of mat space, wifi, great area for fitness classes. Always clean as well - very important to me.The BJJ Wizard of CMMA, if you will, is named Dempsey. If he likes you, he will give you tips on how to improve your game. You just have to keep petting him and you just might get lucky enough to get the knowledge lol.All jokes aside, CMMA is a great place to train without egos. If your in the area, check this place out.
Had the pleasure of learning from one of the most humble and nicest guys i know, but unfortunately because of my move i will not be training there anymore. However, to anyone looking into this gym, look no further. You will not walk into a more welcoming and friendly gym. I had the pleasure of learning from T, issac, and alsoPaul himself. From my first hand experience you can truely tell these guys are dedicated to their work.
Paul Creighton has created an amazing environment where everyone is welcome from people who want great fitness classes to high level competitive jiu jitsu and MMA students. Pauls infectious positive attitude comes through in his staff and instructors as well. Very family friendly as well. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn jiu jitsu, MMA, or just get in some great workouts.
My experience at Paul Creighton was OK.Pros:-Easy to get a Blue Belt (& others).-Amazing culture.-Big Mat area-Chill environment-Great fitness class-Awesome Dog at the academyCons:-Not the best BJJ coach for IBJJF Level (has not competed in an IBJJF tournament, you cant learn BJJ whom has never complete at the high level).-Pricey at $170+ (other gyms usually $130-$140 for unlimited)-No Mat space to roll-Cheap gis and rashguards (Smell like smoke)-The average age is high (probably 40+)-Non-Brazilian Coach (For me I prefer a Brazilian teacher, its like going to an Chinese restaurant, you want the authenticity.)-People care more about getting the next belt than getting better.-Classes are too short-No competition training!-Not Renzo Gracie Affliction (He is one of his students though)-Have to pay $$$ for seminars (Way above average)Paul is an nice guy, and has a great wrestling aspect. For me, I want to train at a competition level of BJJ. CMMA does not provide that. If your interested in learning the fundamentals, and get in shape, than I would recommend this place. If you want to be the best of the best and care about being at a high level this is NOT the place. I would recommend Alliance, TRT, Gracie Barra, or Knuckle-up. Great Professors with Great Talents!!!
My family has been involved at CMMA for nearly a year now and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. My son started in the kids BJJ program at the age of 5. His self-confidence has rocketed and he truly loves going to class. Nearly 5 months ago I started attending the Kickboxing & Total Body Fitness classes. Id always been fit, but after having two babies, lifes priorities got trickier to manage. I was having a terrible time finding a workout routine that kept me motivated and my fitness began to suffer...until I joined CMMA! Now Im stronger than I have been in a long time, my blood pressure has dropped, and I feel good about my body again. The results have been great. The atmosphere at this gym is encouraging and professional. The workouts are amazing and intense, but certainly scalable for any fitness level. Paul has put together an incredible team of instructors (for both kids and adults). These guys make it happen!
If you are ready for a lifetsyle change, to commit to yourself, and invest in yourself... Let Paul, T, Matt, Issac, and Logan guide you there! They genuinely care, and will get you to where you need to be. Paul has a wonderful facility and world class instructors.Choose this gym to be your start, whether its MMA, BJJ or just being healthy.
For starters, I cant say enough good things about this academy! The staff, Isaac, T, Koya, and Michael are phenomenal. Their tough, patient, and always willing to help. The teammates are like brothers and sisters. Everyone is energetic, friendly, and hungry to learn. The classes are great and always informative. And I cant forget Paul. If you are in search of a coach or someone to inspire you then Paul is your guy. He sets the tone at the academy and its carried out by his staff. Finally, having joined the academy at 47 years old and in only 2 years Im in the best shape of my life. Never had more fun, never been more confident, and never been more balanced in all areas of life than I am right now. The Fountain of Youth exists at Creighton MMA. I look forward to meeting you on the mat...SOON!
Simply Awesome!Ive been a member of Creighton MMA since 2008 and I cant imagine a better place to train. The facility is always very clean, the equipment is always in great shape, and there are classes for every level of fitness and skill level. Most importantly, to me, is the quality of instruction and other members, Paul Creighton and his crew of other instructors are amazing. They provide quality group instruction and somehow still manage to give individual attention when needed. The other members are all friendly and have great attitudes. I feel that Ive made a lot of life long friends while at CMMA. Im proud to be a part of the BJJ family that Paul Creighton has built. Thanks Paul!
My family and I have been training here for three years now my kids that train with me are 15 &14. We really love this gym its like a big family, Ive two younger kids as well and always feel they are safe hanging out while we train. All the coaching is above excellent Paul has a vast knowledge base in wrestling, judo, bjj and mma. Any techniques Ive learned here, even if I already knew them, are always better. There is also a giant spread of belts to train with we have more purple belts than some gyms Ive visited. Highly recommended
We have been part of the CMMA family for over 13 years. Five children later....the kids are now training. They have all been training BJJ since they were old enough to attend class. The instructors are amazing!! They love my kids, instruct them in discipline and respect, make class enjoyable, laugh, have fun, and so much more. Additionally, it is a clean atmosphere: both the facilty/gym and ethics/morale/integrity. Theres no place we would rather be. :)
This is hands down the best team of people I have had the opportunity to learn from. Like a lot of people that are contemplating Jiu Jitsu or mma, my only reservation was being worried about people being too rough and me getting hurt. It’s not impossible to get injured at any gym but the attitude across the entire academy is one of helping people learn. This is not a bunch of meat heads beating each other up. This is a group of very smart and skilled people helping others learn the best self defense techniques available.
There are few things in life that help carve out character like an active, healthy lifestyle and martial arts...The community that exists within Pauls Academy is nearly impossible to recreate elsewhere. My sons have been in Jiu Jitsu for several years, and after moving to the Atlanta area we went in search of a new BJJ home for them. After meeting Paul we knew we didnt need to look anywhere else. My wife and I simply wouldnt trust the development of our children to another professor. The quality of the training and even more so the people are just a part of what makes this place so special.Simply put; Creighton MMA in an integral part of my family... A part we hold very dear. I cannot recommend this Academy highly enough. Nothing I post here will do it service.
If you are even thinking about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, or fitness training this is the place to go. Paul and his staff are professional, low-pressure, and genuinely care about you as a person. If you want to compete then come here and train with the best. Creighton MMA competitors are always on the blocks in competitions and the coaching is second to none. If you just want to learn a martial art to improve your health, have fun, or better yourself as a person dont be afraid. You will be treated like family and everyone works together to help their partners reach their goals. You will not be thrown to the sharks so the competitors have training fodder but you will work with them learn how to help each other. Come in today and find out why Paul has so many 5 star reviews. You will not regret it.
This place is nothing short of amazing. My daughter briefly took taekwondo and unfortunately, did not end up liking it. She refused to wear the Gi, among many other things. We happened to be watching a UFC fight and she expressed an interest in learning MMA. After checking out a few MMA places and being discouraged because they were not up my standards, we happened to see Creighton MMA while in the area. After her first class, she was absolutely hooked! She even wore the Gi! The instructors are phenomenal. Everyone treats you like family. If my daughter could go every day, she would. I HIGHLY recommend them, even if you or a family member is going somewhere else, it wont compete to Creighton MMA. You owe to yourself to go to the best, and they are the BEST! I wouldnt take my daughter anywhere else. They even let you work out while your kids is in the class (or just have a free coffee and hang out and watch how awesome they treat your kid).
Creighton MMA is the perfect environment for martial arts training and fitness. No attitudes, just the highest quality instruction, excellent training, and a great place to sweat.Paul is an outstanding martial artist with an infectious positive attitude. He is eminently talented in his ability to explain and demonstrate technique and he works tirelessly to bring out your best efforts. Issac Eberle, Tyler Driskell and Scott Adams (along with an impressive team of Paul Creighton black belts) also bring their substantive experience and unique skill sets to create a deep martial arts/fitness team. This gym is for everyone, from the youngest of children to adults of every age, competitor to enthusiast. Even if this wasnt a beautifully appointed and fully stocked facility (and it is), the family environment makes Creighton MMA the perfect place to call your gym home. In case you hadnt noticed, it comes with my highest recommendation.Rick GomezBlue Belt
I have trained at CMMA for the past year since moving to GA. I have been a student of BJJ for the past 11 years, training in MN, NJ and now GA. The warm welcome and no-ego atmosphere of CMMA is immediately evident as you set foot in the front door. Before my first class, Paul greeted me with a smile and a handshake as he welcomed me to the academy. This has happened over and over again the past year with Paul and his team of instructors. They teach, train and drill with smiles on their faces, positive attitudes, and no shortage of BJJ knowledge. At CMMA there are great training partners at all BJJ ranks. You are guaranteed a competitive roll each time you hit the mat, period. I have had more positive training experiences since joining the CMMA team than I can list here. You get back what you put into each class where questions are welcomed and answers are given through demonstration. Competing in tournaments is not required but rest assured, you will be more than prepared by our team. Paul and many others have competed nationally and internationally; IBJJF, Worlds, PANS, ADCC and the UFC. Extra practices and fight camps are organized and run to get everyone in tip top shape for game day. Walking into a new school can be a daunting experience and the most difficult step for most people. Paul and the CMMA family squash this apprehension in a hurry. You only need to take the first step and call or stop by to make your first class. You will not be disappointed.
Pros: No ego, nice people, and great training. They have a mini gym in there as well. Theyll work with you if you have any issues too. They are very fair and if I ever move back the area I will train there again.Cons: Think you still have to sign a contract but thats the process everywhere. No, they arent trying to cheat you or anything, I just hate signing contracts for gym type stuff. Why are you still reading this? Go over there and take a free class, you wont regret it.
CMMA has become my 2nd home and I now spend every opportunity training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The instruction is amazing and the entire staff takes an educational approach that encourages questions and explanations. Paul’s BJJ experience and lineage is extremely impressive reinforcing that I’m getting taught by the best.
Best gym around! The level of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction here is second to none and the cardio classes will whip you into shape. I lost 50 pounds during my first year here and am now in the best shape of my life. The environment here is ego free and very friendly. If you are looking for fitness, BJJ, or striking classes you have to check this place out.
Over the last few years our boys have taken MMA classes at Creighton MMA. Before they started we explored all different options from Karate to Tai Kwon Do to MMA. After exploring multiple gyms, Creighton’s was the best gym around. The interaction between the instructors and the kids is unmatched. The instructors don’t just lead a class, they work to understand the students; their strengths and weaknesses both physically and emotionally. They work specifically to help each child to be a better version of themselves. Our oldest was very quiet and being at Creighton’s has really helped him come out of his shell and has given him a new confidence in himself. Creighton MMA is an extraordinary gym and the kids program is excellent.
The Best!Ive been fortunate enough to have trained at many MMA academies around the country, and Creighton Mixed Martial Arts is by far my favorite! Every aspect of CMMA is top notch from the instructors, the facility and the members....high level training in a very comfortable but professional atmosphere! Im so impressed by CMMAs Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program, I started traveling back there from the Outer Banks of North Carolina once a month for the world class training, and it always feel like my home away from home.
My husband joined CMMA a few years ago, and then I joined shortly after him. He enjoys the MMA training and I enjoy the Kickboxing and Total Body Fitness. Paul has also worked with me on personal training and nutrition, and Ive seen results. We spent years trying to get into a routine and find a place where we could enjoy not only the fitness programs and training, but also the people before we found CMMA. We have met several of our closest friends at CMMA, and we give all the credit to Paul and his team for creating such a positive and respectful atmosphere. We love it so much that when we talking about moving our family, we make sure to account for the distance to CMMA. If youre looking to change your lifestyle, become empowered, and surround yourself with positive people and energy, then I highly recommend CMMA!
I cant say enough great things about the academy. Paul and the whole crew are awesome people. BJJ has changed my (and my familys) life in so many ways for the better and I cant thank everyone at CMMA enough for that. It started just with me and now my wife, my daughter, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law are all part of it. Your kids will love it as well! My daughter loves the employees there, even before she started BJJ she came to class with me every time just so she could hang out and see Paul, Isaac, T, Koy-ya and Croghan. Come check it out and be part of the family, you wont regret it!
Paul Creighton has created something very special at Creighton MMA. CMMA is not a place to just work out or to just improve your MMA or BJJ skills. Being a part of CMMA means being a part of a team, a family, with a unique bond. My husband, my son, and I have all been a part of CMMA since 2009, and since the first day we have loved the atmosphere and the people. This special atmosphere didnt happen by circumstance; it was created very intentionally by Paul Creighton.Pauls team is AMAZING, always helping members work toward goals. My goal was weight loss and conditioning. I lost 50 pounds by participating in kickboxing classes and total body fitness classes and with Pauls help with nutritional goals. CMMA makes this easy... you just keep showing up!Paul is personally involved at the academy and in the lives of the members everyday. He knows the families, the kids, and each member of his academy. If you are on the fence about whether or not to give it a try, just do it! Your life may never be the same again!
Ive been going to this Academy off and on for years now I have fallen off the wagon several times. No one has ever talked down to me for falling off the wagon. It is a family you can tell that this group of guys/girls love to train and enjoy each others company. Paul is excellent at keeping track of everything that is going on in the Academy. Sometimes I sit and watch the kids, and I think, of how I wish that I wouldve gotten into this when I was a kid. Sometimes it just feels good to choke someone, and at the same time, no one gets hurt :-) I dont much care for lifting weights but this is almost like lifting weights and playing chess at the same time. There is no way that I can even touch some of these guys, and that makes it intriguing.
I cannot say enough good things about Paul and the gang! More than a gym, this place is a family! The atmosphere is unparalleled-- motivating, encouraging, and a superb mixture of serious and fun. I did BJJ and MMA, and LOVED every minute! I miss everything about this gym, and now that Im in Arizona, no gym can even touch it!Not only are the regular classes great, but the fitness classes are amazing. Isaac should start taking before and after pictures. : ) These classes are great for all levels -- if youre a beginner, no problem; if you dont want to sacrifice technique, also no issue. As a female, I can say that I was totally spoiled by the level of professionalism I experienced here. Paul does not tolerate shenanigans.Regardless of your age or gender, you will be forever changed by BJJ and this is place to do it!
Creighton MMA has become a second home for myself and my wife. We are currently looking to purchase a home and the distance to CMMA is definitely a factor. While Paul Creighton is the most knowledgeable and uplifting coach I have ever had, it is his staff that truly carries on the good name of CMMA. The greetings when you walk in the door and the excellent training partners will make every class at this gym a lesson which sticks in your mind.
I joined CMMA in 2011. I was an almost obese guy who weighed about 290pounds. I had tried losing the weight before by going to normal conventional gyms but i got bored after like a few weeks and had no desire to go back. But since i was a big fan of MMA i figured why not try it out....Men that was the best decision i ever made. I didnt join CMMA to be a MMArtist but rather to loos weight. The first day was so intense for a fat guy like me that i thought to myself i would be crazy to come back here...The next day i think i was the first to show up for class. This was the most fun i had ever had while working out. I stuck with it and always looked forward to the next class and not only was the weight coming off me dramatically but i was learning how to effectively defend myself. I eventually lost all my weight in under a year and saw i had a six pack. CMMA is home to me because every member treats one another like family. Now i am 195 pounds, i have won a couple of jiu jitsu tournaments and even step into the cage for cage fighting(2-0). Thanks for changing my life CMMA.

2022-07-07What a great experience for any kid. As you can see in the photo 6 coaches, 3 are black belts. You will always have 2 or more black belts on the floor. The coaches are so good to the kids. My son was pretty shy at first, but after 2 classes he can’t get enough, now we are 2.5 years in. Owners are great! Facility is very clean. I highly recommend trying Creighton, they will let you try for free.

2022-02-10Creighton MMA is hands down the best gym experience I have ever had. All of the instructors and members are welcoming and truly love to teach. I started both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA here and I am beyond lucky that this is the place I ended up at. Oss!

2022-08-04Creighton MMA is a great place 💯 regardless of who you are, your fitness level or body weight, or your level of skill in martial arts...there is a place for you at CMMA. Paul Creighton (owner) and all of the instructors are badasses while also being the friendliest and most helpful coaches ever. You cant go anywhere that has more black belts in attendance on any given night. Paul has done a great job of bringing good people into his gym...some of the best people Ive ever met train here. Men, women, kids...everyone is welcome and will be met with a smile at the door and treated like family at all times.

2022-05-28Both my daughter and I train here. We LOVE this gym. Its by far the best gym weve ever been to and were so happy that we get to be a part of it now. The talent level is world class, the instructors are world class, and the training atmosphere is perfect. I CANNOT recommend this place enough.

2022-06-21My son has been going here for over a year. Our family absolutely loves this place. Great coaches and warm gym. Hes learned so much in such a short time span due to the dedication of their coaches. I cant speak highly enough about this place. If youre looking for a safe gym to train in a family like atmosphere, this is it.

2022-08-09This gym has brought out the love for combat in me . From the beginning they teach you very efficient moves that even professionals use to this day . the pace is real steady . Perfect for any age and experience. The coaches are very patient and are very diverse in the way they address each student’s learning style . Each coach has a different set of methods to get you to learn the same move the class is learning when you’re having a hard time getting the movement down. I’ve progressed so much and built alot of confidence here .

2022-08-10Paul and his staff offer some of the best technical training you will find in any bjj gym. But for me it’s more than the techniques, it’s the atmosphere of the gym. No big egos and humble instructors make it a great place to train.

2022-06-22Out son came into this gym with an unfavorable opinion about BJJ. Because the instructors are patient, encouraging but still strict, our son has grown to LOVE BJJ. It was all due to the style and philosophy Paul Creighton and his team employs. They are fair and thoughtful and always maintain safety and discipline. We cant thank this gym enough for being here. We couldnt recommend him enough!!!

2022-08-09Our family has been coming to Creighton for over 5 years. Very engaged staff, attentive to the kids (usually at least 4 instructors per class). Great environment. No attitudes like other gyms. Definetly recommended!!

2022-07-27Fantastic place. Paul has created an awesome atmosphere and culture that cant be beat. The instructors are all great and provide top quality instruction. Best part of my days are walking thru the doors.
