Clean, organized and environmentally conscious yard. The owner Blake was awesome. He helped me remove the parts as I was concerned about them getting broken and made the job go by faster by providing power tools. Highly recommended this yard!! Would visit again if they get another truck similar to mine
If you need a part this is the only place you need to go or call. Brian and his crew go beyond good or excellent. I needed a radiator overflow for a 2002 Dodges Ram 1500. Web site listed two trucks and photos showed each having just what I needed. The first search in there vast sea of car and truck remains came up sorry their gone. Brian ask another young man to take me out to find what I needed. What an adventure, after about 15 minutes of searching in several locations, I hear Found one and in fact he did. I wish I gotten his name, he was determined to find my part.I tip my hat to him and could not thank him enough for our conversations and his dogged determination in a successful hunt in finding just what this old man needed. Bruce, Smyrna, GA
The people are rude. I waited for 2 hours for a part and they were completely ignoring me. I left without the part. By far the worst place. They probably have the part you are looking for but good luck getting it. Brian is a very rude heartless individual and needs to be fired. He is running the company to the ground
This place is a goldmine, but gold isnt cheap. When it comes to trucks, they have everything you are looking for. They have a very accurate inventory system and know where to find stuff on their massive lots (I think there are 5 lots in total). Brian is the guy who sets the prices and he knows what stuff is worth so you arent going to get anything at a steal, but the parts are in good condition and they will pull them for you while you wait (they even ship internationally), and the price they charge is fair. When they pulled the part for me it turned out that it wasnt the one that was supposed to have been on the truck, so Blake drove me around and literally moved trucks around the lot until we found the correct part. I left very happy with parts that I could not find anywhere else, even on FleaBay. And Jason is a character too! Honestly, they need to turn this place into a reality TV show so people can see how the JY business is supposed to run.
Being in business for 30 years tells you something. These guys know what they are doing. Take a picture of the part you need and know exactly what you are looking for and they will find it for you. This place is huge and plentiful of decent parts. If they dont have the part you are looking for I would be surprised. The guys that work there are extremely knowledgeable and quick. We really appreciate the wonderful customer service.
Some of the rudest bunch of people I have ever dealt with. Drove 3 hours to purchase something there and they said we were rude and wouldnt sale us what we drove down to purchase. Absolutely the worst place. And the person who helped us had no idea what he was talking about, whenever it came to some parts that went with something else we were going to purchase. Man copped a attitude because we didnt drive over 3 hours with six thousand dollars cash. Who travels with that much cash? We even offered to let them take our purchase with our bank card. Most of you on here giving Good reviews must be there friends or family. They ended up selling the item to someone standing next to me with a check for less money. Your loss!!
Rude. Rude. Rude. I was on the hunt for a part surprisingly they had it! I would of had to buy the entire engine and jokingly I asked of there was anyway I could buy just that part. Instead of just going with the flow and laughing it off he yelled at me and asked me what in the world would make me think I would take the part off of a $9,000 motor. I calmy explained that we had had been calling around to several other states with no luck the whole time he was screaming over me that I should just go get parts from them then and if I want anything Ill have to buy the entire engine.
I’ve bought from the guys several times in the past with good and bad experience. I know and understand that they sell used parts and expect used condition. What is not ok is being lied to. Called and spoke to Brian about a Silverado hood. He said that he needed to check the hood because he thought it was damaged. Calls me back and says it’s not damaged and it’s a good hood. I questioned the condition and the color of the hood, he reassures me that everything is good. Tried negotiating with him some on the phone with little success. I explained that I needed to know what I was looking at price was before ever heading to him because I was 1.5 hours away, 3 hours round trip. Needless to say, his attitude and phone skills are lacking. Ended up driving there and when walking through the yard to look at the hood, the worker says it’s a pretty good hood with only a little bit of damage and a rust spot. Yeah, it was damaged like he said and it was a complete repaint that was off color and the clear was peeling. After seeing this I walk out in complete disgust. Per our discussion Brian knew that I was looking for a specific color hood and one that wasn’t damaged. Why would I pay a premium for a specific color hood to replace my damaged hood for another damaged hood that needs to be repainted. Additionally, he wanted my old hood for a core (I’ve never heard of on a body part), so I had my wife come with me so that we could swap hoods there without inconveniencing a employee to help me a wap them. So not only did he waste over 3 hours of my day but my wife’s too when all he had to do was be honest. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened with these guys. Called about a specific motor, they say they have it and even double check because I was driving a long ways. Get there, no motor. I figured it as a honest mistake, miscommunication or something. After two bad experiences I’ve come to realize that I’ve just got lucky in the past and Brian is a liar. I know it was Brian the time before because he likes to refer to the city of Monroe as “Monkey-Roe”.
I have been looking for seats for my Ford Ranger for months now. Finally found a set at Crest Auto Truck & Equipment. Dealt with Blake over the phone. The seats were leather, got both front seats for a GREAT price, and I am having them shipped to me in Texas. Blake is a great employee!! He took the time to make sure the seats were not beat up or ripped, sent me pictures so I could approve them, took the time to have them packaged, sent me more pictures for both of our references in case they are damaged in shipping, and had them delivered to me. He did a great job for me, and I will continue to purchase any and all of my parts from this business. I highly recommend this business and Blake specifically!!!
Crest Auto Does great business my experience with them was great and they did everything they could to make it right even checking with there competition to see if I could get the right parts there if you need good parts and want to make sure you get right stuff call Crest first I will
These guys certainly know how to treat a woman like a queen. They were extremely kind from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left the property they had exactly what I was looking for, loaded me up quickly, worked with me on pricing, and if I need anything else I will certainly not hesitate to return even though I’m from Tennessee. The only thing I would say is that the gentleman upfront I wish I got his name but he has gray wavy hair, he need some help. And by help I mean someone assisting him he was multitasking better than any woman I know. The phone was ringing off the hook he’s not only answering it answering the persons questions as well but he’s also trying to take care of the person in front of him physically. He’s absolutely amazing at his job but he does need some help. You all are awesome!Joyce.
I was just in there less than an hour ago, and let me tell you these men are so helpful! I came in for a couple parts and Josiah, one of the guys, went out and got the parts for me. He even got one of the parts that we didn’t think were removable, and was able to get it. Brian was very helpful in getting us what we needed as well! Will definitely be going back if future parts are ever needed!
Good prices. Staff is very friendly if you dont take their sense of humor the wrong way. They dont play well with snowflakes lol. Very helpful yard people, tip them well and they go above and beyond. Have been there multiple times in the past few weeks for some odd parts for a project and they were more than accommodating with my odd parts list.
Mr. Brian and Josiah were amazing! We were referred by our dealership. Mr. Brian had Josiah pull our parts for us, one part was going to be a difficult part to pull and he was determined to help us. We got everything we needed and everyone was so nice! I was skeptical because it was a Salvage yard, but girls/ladies save your money and go get your Original parts from this company!!! So thankful we went there!
I gave a one but the negative star that I need isn’t available. Drove from Cincinnati Ohio to come down here to get a rear bumper for a 92 s10 while I was down here I was looking for other parts for it according to part finder crest had the other parts I needed called them and here is where the call was interesting. I called gave them the info for the truck I need parts for they wouldn’t give me a price over the phone before I drove 40+ miles one way, wouldn’t check the yard to see what kind of shape there in, when I asked again about a price he said are you going to “bring your check book and your tools or are you going to piss the day away??” Called back to get a manger on the line the manager laughed at me and my girlfriend for coming about 9 hours for a bumper from another yard. Horrible service, made fun of us for calling and complaining about the situation. These people are over priced (finally got a price after making fun of prices at home) wouldn’t recommend these guys to anyone as far as I’m concerned I will never go there nor come back. If you want good parts and good price also getting outstanding service go to C and L in Atlanta
I needed to install back seats in my newly purchased 2016 Chevrolet Colorado and they sold me everything I needed for a reasonable price. When I showed up to purchase the parts, they noticed I had an aftemarket back up beeper installed on the truck and offered to disconnect it. One of the guys climbed under the truck, snipped a wire and took care of a problem that was bugging me since I bought the vehicle. Super helpful people!
Waited to install the product before I left my review. I have to say this is probably one of the best junkyards I have every been to. I didnt Know exactly what I needed but they were able to show me exactly what i needed and it worked amazingly. for that I give crest autos five stars. I will be back soon for more parts for my rebuild.
Worst service I have ever experienced. The man at the front desk was very rude. He asked, how big is the internet? after I told him the part I was looking for (suggesting that I look on the internet for the part instead of potentially paying him money). A very condescending and overall unpleasant response to a very simple request. Maybe he was having a bad day. Furthermore, I sat for an hour in the front office and listened to him treat nearly every customer just as poorly. I will never return to this business, nor will I ever reference this business to anyone.
The people at Crest are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable individuals that more than likely have exactly what you need. The vehicles are organized in a way that makes them easily accesible and simple to find. I recommend them for all of your automotive needs. Tell them Ralph sent you.
In my entire life, I have never encountered an employee as rude, belligerent and belittling as the gentleman that answers the phones. Not only will they never get a dime out of me, Ill make it my lifes work to let everybody I encounter know about the exchange I had with them.
I was referred here by one of my coworkers and when I called to get prices on parts the man answered the phone and first, put me on hold for 10 minutes. I didnt mind, I know business can be crazy. But second, as soon as he got back no the line he answered with what do you want woman? give it to me. Absolute utter disrespect. I wouldnt recommend this place just for the sole purpose they treat people like trash. However, the only downside of that though is the fact that they do have good prices. So I guess my advice would be to proceed with caution if youre going to be shopping from here...
As a shop owner, I have never witnessed such pathetic customer service. I pre-paid for a part 16 hours in advance -$250 part. The already rude dude on the phone promised me that hed have the part waiting for me when I got there. I arrived. It had not been pulled. They were in no hurry to pull it. I told them I have a business to run and needed to get the part. Still acted like it was no big deal. After I lost it and called the manager a few choice words, I got my money back and was politely told to leave. These scumbags represent what is wrong with America today.
First off I have to say that that this is the worst experience I have ever had with a business ever. I sent one of my shop guys to pick up a front carrier from them. When he got back to the shop with it the jack shaft was missing and the housing was cracked. I called Crest and told them it was missing and that I would like to return it. He said sorry I bought it as/is just to put my shaft in it. I told him that if it took that big of a hit I didnt want to chance paying someone to install it and then find out the inside was damaged as well, just to big of a risk. I cant explain how bad he talked to me and how much he belittled me about this. I did nothing wrong. I was in total shock how he handled this situation. I finally told him that was fine that my guy would be dropping the part back off and I would just stop payment on the check. He belittled me more due to this. Well I did nothing at all wrong but they now have my check on there wall with stop payment on it and do not accept checks from me (Like I would ever buy anything again from them). I am a very honest person and would never done this unless I was forced too. They are still trying to make me look bad and like I did something wrong even after they tried to screw me. Unbelievable Just Unbelievable.
All the negative reviews are true. Cash in hand for what I was quoted only to be told a different price. Even with two customers at the counter, the attendant kept answering the phone. The price went back to what I was quoted but now all the pieces for the assembly were no longer included. When I ask why that was. I was told they no longer wished to sell me the part....wow. Customer service at its best. Only to call from another and told the part is in store for sell or ship.
I bought 3 van doors for a ford E-series at a GREAT price. I knew exactly what i needed, they showed me the options then had the doors off the parts vehicle and into my truck within an hour. If you call, know what youre asking for, theses guys dont have time to sit on the phone with you while you try to figure out your problem (big boy rules apply). Thanks yall!
Dealt with who I believe is the owner today. Extremely rude and condescending person. I have been buying parts up there for a couple of years. Today marks the end of that. Dont waste your time, you will be treated poorly. Read all the other 1 star reviews, youll get the idea.
This place is really high on the price. Just got off the phone with them. I am needing a fuse box and they quoted me one for $150 plus my old one. Are you kidding me you can get them off of eBay for $40 or cagles U-Pull-It for $25. For that price of $150 its almost worth driving to Chattanooga to the pull a part. Your a junk yard not a part store. These are used parts not new
My boyfriend called and the guy was really rude. We were seeing how much they charge the guy on the phone told us Why dont you bring your check book and tools over here and you can find what ever your looking for. When my boyfriend was trying to explain what we were looking for, just to see if they had any frount bubber brackets, the guy said So are you coming here or are you going to piss the day away. My boyfriend hung up the phone. I called them myself to complain about the service and the manager laughed at me for complaining about the service. He started making fun of my boyfriend and for driving 9.5 hours for a 92 S10 rear bumber. We went to C & L Auto Parts and they were great. They had great customer service, great prices, and they were willing to bend over backwards to help you.
Huge selection of high-quality inventory, great prices and awesome staff! My husband and I own a repair shop and we specialize in high-quality affordable repairs, which means a lot of the time we are using salvage yard parts because the customer can’t afford/doesn’t want to buy new. The search for quality used parts is the most time consuming part of my job, and if you’ve ever had to deal with a junkyard before, you probably already know that it can be a frustrating experience. Car makers can and do change parts literally ALL THE TIME, sometimes even in the middle of the model year, and it can be a huge setback for us time-wise if we are given the wrong part, so dealing with knowledgeable vendors is essential for me.There are probably no less than 10 salvage yards within a 10 mile radius of our shop, and Crest is by far our favorite place for truck parts (***Be aware they only do truck parts, NO CARS***). The yard is ginormous, the staff, especially Brian, is awesome, the owner is very hands-on and usually always on site if you ever need him (though we never have), and their selection is second to none. Not only do they have a huge inventory, the vehicles they have are actually very high quality—no junk at this junkyard! We have always been able to find even the most obscure parts at Crest, and they are the only ones around that have a large selection of heavy duty and commercial parts that we have needed not just for customers but for our own truck as well. Their prices are usually better than the competition and they’ve always been willing to negotiate if I’ve found something somewhere else for a lower price. Plus, everyone there is always laughing and in good spirits, which is NOT very common at salvage yards—this is one of those little things that is actually a Big Thing to me—it makes all the difference in the world when you’re constantly dealing with short attitudes and inpatient personalities.I’ve read many of the other comments in regards to the ‘customer service’ that some have received here and, while I’ve never experienced anything negative from the staff, as many salvage yards as I’ve dealt with, I can certainly believe some of the reviews. As I said before, it can be frustrating to be on my side of the business, but I can also definitely see how it can be just as frustrating to be on the other side. The average customer probably *thinks* they know exactly what they need, but trust me, the staff at the salvage yards know better than we do. The worst thing I see happen is someone calling in and TELLING the person on the phone what they need without going through the process of narrowing it down by vehicle specs. The staff do this all day, every day, and their computer systems—which are vast and extremely accurate—show the correct part based on the information you give them. My best advice would be to make sure BEFORE you call any salvage yard that you know as much about your vehicle as possible (i.e. EXACT year/make/model, engine size—VERY IMPORTANT, trim—is it an XL or an XLT for example, is it 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, auto or manual, if you need a part for your brake system you should know if your vehicle has options like traction control, etc.). This information can usually be found in your owner’s manual or by simply typing your VIN in Google. Every piece of info you can give, no matter how irrelevant it may seem, will help in your search because, like I said earlier, car makers change parts all the time, and the best way to assure you get the part you need is to know exactly what you’ve got to put it on. And then just let these guys handle the rest—that’s what they do day in and day out, and they’re pretty good at it if you give them the chance! All in all, Crest gets a top rating from me because they are the best at what they do and they’ve always made a potentially frustrating experience a relatively pleasant one for us with quality parts, a great selection, the best prices, and a knowledgeable staff that will go the extra mile for you if you give them the chance. Highly recommend.
Called to ask about a big truck transmission that was advertised online. The guy was knowledgeable and polite. He even asked me to hold so that he could personally make sure it was still available, out of the truck, and ready for p/u. I drove 180 miles the next morning to get it and the service was excellent. I paid, they loaded it and I was on my way in less than 20 minutes. When I asked about the inconsistency between my experience and the bad reviews that I saw online, I was told that the old employee with the attitude was no longer there. The owner fired him. I will be back.....
I have never been treated with such disrespect. This place is not worth the drive or the money. All employees treat cash paying customers like they are trash. Waited over an hour for them to find my part never retrieved item. Ask the guy again about the part and he cocked an attitude saying im not worried about your part I have a 5,000 dollar transmission I have to worry about not your part. Will never be back.
Called, was hung up on. Called back, person on phone was very dismissive. I decided to just drive over and see if they had the parts I needed. Guy running the counter was extremely arrogant. He would try to talk to 3-5 customers at the same time but only giving everyone poor service. Told me they had the part I needed but then when I wanted to buy it, he told me it wasnt exactly the same but it should work. Part was the central computer for a truck. No electrical parts are refundable. He would have sold me a part that he knew wouldnt work and that I couldnt return. Any competing business with similar inventory would destroy this company with decent customer service.
I cant speak for anyone but me but when I read some of the reviews of this place I was worried.... but I went anyway and Im glad I did, i went and treated these guys with respect and they did the same for me, they went above and beyond finding the parts I needed i love this place, all the things you need to get your project done and keep your daily driver running
To sum it up DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!! Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. I bought a transmission for a LS swap I was working on in a 94 1500 so I bought a 4l80e transmission and transfer case from crest and yes it sat around longer than 30 days before I even attempted to put it in as I was waiting on a wiring harnes, so the time came I installed the trans and when I attempted to push the truck it would only go forward and wouldnt roll back. I checked all of the obvious things and narrowed it down to the trans, so I call crest and spoke with Brian who asked if it was a prank call when I requested that they give me another transmission. I was then told after explaining my situation that I needed to give it a few days to think about my position really? I decided to pull and pan and found large pieces of metal in the pan. I payed cash money for a transmission that was no good when I loaded it up and had no way to test that until much past the 30 days, so I ordered a trans from LKQ and I highly recommend anybody looking for used parts to do the same.
OMG! I just called about scrapping a vehicle and asked how he went about pricing...whatever the market will bear and then b proceeded to tell me about selling a guy a used part for $2000 that he didnt know he could have gotten new for $800! THEN, after I explained that I knew very little about the car and was calling for a friend, ask if I can call back when i know more and can speak more intelligently about it.
Call about a Chevrolet hood emblem they would not give me a price. The personality phone wanted me to name the price and then laughed at the price I suggested. Asked them if they could give me an idea of the price is just as much as the new one. THE Worst experience I have with customer service ever. If you need a part call Cagles pull a part.
First off I’ve been there several times and they’ve told me they had what I was looking for and said it was in good “shape” only to get there and find out it was dented and in POOR condition and after driving 30 min one way I was very displeased. I wouldn’t recommend this place to someone I disliked they sucked so bad, and customer service.. terrible!! I’ll never come back, and I urge anyone who reads this to not even waist your time trying to deal with them
Tried to call and got hung up on them called back and got a rude , unprofessional employee and left the info for the part and they called the next day and could not be bothered to give the info off the part to make sure it would fit my truck !!!! Don’t waste your time !!!
My husband bought a tranmission from Crest a little over a month ago paid for next day shipping. Transmission was not here next day, so he called they said transmission is still sitting on the floor to be shipped out the next day, so he asked if he could send someone to pick it up and get refunded shpoing charges. David said that would be fine. Well my husband has now installed the transmission which he has had no problems with.but were still waiting on tge refund for shipping. Would order from this company again but would recommend picking up products instead of shipping
There was not many helpful employeesonly one guy of their whole crew of employees actually helped us and on our way out the guy who actually helped us was going to show us another part they just got in and the manager or owner told us we couldn’t afford that one. Very bad service will never go back.
These guys are a joke. I called, the guy was the most arrogant person Ive dealt with. First hung up on me, I called back thought maybe the line dropped. I asked him about the part listed available on car part, he didnt even ask me what wheel base I had, snapped and replied - I DONT HAVE IT almost like someone was forcing him to work there for free.... HIRE SOME BETTER EMPLOYEES
Person in the phone was extremely rude and refused to listen. Was very argumentative and generally displayed an extreme lack of customer service skills and when I asked to speak to the manager I was told He dont want to talk to you. I literally couldnt believe the level of unprofessionalism displayed. :-(
This place is a joke. I just priced two use tail lights off an older 06 truck for $65 a piece when they are $62.99 brand new. This is the second overpriced parts I got quotes from them. They are running that place into the ground. I would give zero Stars if Google would allow me to.
I will never call this company for parts nor will I go there they are over priced charging new prices for used parts and very rude over the phone they will argue with you and make verogitory remarks if they are proved wrong I dont know how they stay in business if you were smart I would advise you to buy else where like cagles

2022-06-23Great place to get any part you could think of in a timely fashion. The staff is a bunch of down to earth guys from the front desk to the gentleman that make sure you get the part youre looking for. I will definitely make this my forever autoparts place!!!

2022-07-18Great place to get your parts! They were slammed when I showed up, found me what I needed and the price couldn’t be beat! They’ll even let ya look around and find what ya need.

2022-07-18Terrible people in general. Over priced. No better than a 50/50 gamble on getting a good salvaged part from this trash hole, and they offer no refunds. They practically stole $160 from me.

2022-01-24If I could leave this place 10 stars I would! God is so good. I was recommended to this salvage yard, by another salvage yard. That in itself is a sign these guys do good business. I arrived here beyond discouraged. I was looking for a very specific part for my 05 sterling tractor. Freightliner told me the part was on National back order and it would be 90 DAYS before they could get it to me. When you’re running a small company, 90 days being out of operation is not an option. So I began searching salvage yards for the part. NO ONE had it. I stumbled across Crest by pure chance. I walked in this place and was greeted with professionalism. I was escorted to the engine area, where low and behold they had the EXACT engine that’s in my truck with the part I needed in tact! My part was extracted carefully, and I was given a ride back to the front for checkout. I was in dire need for this part and was prepared to pay however much I had to in order to get it. To my surprise, this part was given to me for such a discount you wouldn’t believe me if I told you. These guys saw I was in a tight situation, and instead of price gouging me, they decided to be a blessing. And that’s exactly what they were. I recommend this place to anyone looking for auto or diesel parts! If you’re gonna spend your money, you want to spend it with good people who genuinely care! Thank you Crest!

2022-06-02Terrible service, rude, unprofessional and the worst discriminatory attitude towards the buyer due to not perfect pronunciation in English. How does the owner allow this? L Discrimination because of not fluently pronantion in English!!! Advice to the owner: change your front desk staff.

2021-03-10Got a new hood for my truck and I could not be happier. They made sure to wrap it good so it would not damage in route. Highly recommend!
