I like the vibe of the gym and the people are nice but the amount of people that are there make it hard to keep up momentum. And for a person just getting back into working out, it can be overwhelming and discouraging. I know most of us come at the peak hours, but it’s new for me (in relation to other gyms I’ve worked out at) to not be able to get a good workout in sometimes.
My first gym experience post-Covid and chose this location specifically because of the professionalism and sincere approach from Personal Trainer Jason Conyers. Initially, he gave me a tour which impressed me due to the cleanliness of the locker room, sauna and condition of the equipment. I had recently lost 34 lbs by running and eating less. Jason shared his experience in nutrition and functional training which happened to fit my goals of gaining some weight back. . I attended for about a month before I decided to hire Jason to accomplish my goals. With Jasons help and guidance, I have been able to decrease body fat by 4% in 2 months while getting stronger and actually gaining 8 lbs. Overall the staff is friendly and helpful. It can get busy in the evenings but theres enough equipment to adjust the workouts if need be.
The gym has a great assortment of machines available for all types of workouts, and the facilities are kept nice and clean. On top of that staff and gym goers are friendly. My two gripes are that most of the pads are very stiff making some exercises uncomfortable, and the gym is always crowded and waiting to use a squat rack or bench is necessary (though I don’t go in the mornings)
The actual gym is nice with great selection but where it falls short is the mens restroom / showers / sauna. It seems like they’re maybe cleaned once a week with the showers smelling like sewage and flys coming from the drain. Sauna also looks like it’s never been clean
Can get crowded during peak hours, but is really a great gym with a great atmosphere. If you’re thinking about signing up, do it! There’s no better value in town. A nice little treat that this gym has is some plate loaded hammer strength machines for more experienced lifters (NOT just the typical crunch machines). They have group classes, tanning, hydromassages, and plenty of cardio equipment as well. The personal trainers at the gym are great and can help you reach your fitness goals wether you are a beginner or more experienced gym-goer. 5/5!
Very unsatisfied with the customer service. The girl with the red hair was very difficult to talk to and put a very sour note when FINALLY canceling my gym membership. PEOPLE BEFORE YOU MAKE A MEMBERSHIP THERE IS A 60 DAY commitment plan, SO think before you COMMIT to this dirty, unsensitized gym. I made the mistake, dont do what I did. They are trying to bait customers into buying a 2 cent membership. Nice strategy, although it worked on me, I dont want anyone else experiencing this gym and its silly childish 2 cent membership deals.
Gym is always clean, been going there for 8 months, no prblem, front desk is respectful always greet when you come in, Gym members/gymgoers are respectful, so far no bad experience encountered. Only thing is I wish the bench used for bench press were a little higher especially for people like me with short arms.
Coach Jason Conyers rocks…..he is soft spoken, utterly sincere, caring and cuts my work out best suited for me , takes care of post work out pain and nutrition and absolutely flexible and the most important is —- trustworthy .!!! I trust him with my wife also . Excellent professional and a price for crunchDr RayJohn’s creek
Randomly charge different amounts and unable to fix incorrect bills. They said there was a “late fee” but accounts are set up on auto-payment so I guess since the bill date fell on a holiday weekend you’re responsible for the fees? Not sure, very explanation was contradictory. Every other payment went through on the 4th and this one went through on the 5th (due to July 4). My husband used to come here and they charged outrageous amounts after he cancelled multiple times. I decided to go ahead and give them a try a couple years later and they’ve already started doing the same to me. No help from the team - you really just get what you pay for. And honestly feels like a scam!
Shanna was wonderful in helping me cancel my son’s membership. He is away at school in Tennessee & uses the school facilities to workout. It was going to be difficult to get him back to cancel in person. She was so professional over the phone and made it so easy. He enjoyed Crunch and would highly recommend this location in Johns Creek.
Ive been part of many clubs. Crunch is by far one of my favorites, going on 3 years being a member. The morning front desk is super friendly and helpful. Personal training staff is also very friendly and helpful, even if youre not taking lessons theyll take the time to answer your questions.
If you live around the Norcross, Duluth, Johns creek area or even further, this is easily the best option in terms of price, size, and having the most equipment. The staff is awesome, especially Natalie, she was super kind and the absolute best! Honestly way better than LA, anytime, and planet fitness
I will go with -5 star if there is any. Horrible staff, very rude, not willing to help at all. Also be aware that they need checking account to ACH pull. I went to cancel and they told me come back later cause I didnt finish 3 Months commitment. I explained that I will not be in town during that time, but they do not care. As a courtesy they should have take a note and help me out to cancel on whatever the future date, but they didnt. They ask me some send the signed latter to some BS PO box address. Avoid this place.
Nice $50 hidden fees. Stated. Sureeeeee.. You guys hide it in the fine print, and people in person are not even told. Scam artists. No matter what plan you get, whether you pay by month, they charge you an annual fee 60 days after you buy your first membership. So if you pay for 4 months and quit, you get to pay for 4 months and be charged 50 dollars. They dont state this obviously enough because theyre hoping itll slip by their customers unnoticed! This is trash service.
Wanted to try out a personal training program and WASNT read all the terms and conditions up front. A few days later I walked in trying to cancel any further payments because I won’t be able to attend (job relocation) and they told me that in the agreement it said I had to commit for 4 payments and was told that I should’ve read the agreement. I feel like as a client I should be told everything that’s on the agreement before signing it. Instead of being told to read it myself AFTER it’s been signed
My fave Crunch location. The staff are so friendly, from Matt, Mike to Will, Amanda and Ana who is also the GM I’ve watched deep clean the machines, vaccum and mop the floors. The classes are great as well as the trainers and the only reason why it’s not a 5 star is because the squat racks are most of the time taken at peak hours and the headphones input don’t work well on the treadmills. Overall I’ll be here for a while!
If i could give a zero star, I would. The management is so poor, and they will try to milk out your money as much as possible when they find out that you are leaving Crunch. Honestly, the employees are rude and at times very inappropriate. Compared to Crunch, Planet Fitness and LA Fitness are a dream come true and that is saying a lot.
This place is a joke. the front desk people are rude. we had a 3 day pass. the first time we went the gym was so packed we couldnt get a workout in. we then went during the day and the didnt let us in. saying our pass was only valid for just the one time even tho it said 3day pass on the website. the staff was completely rude about it. we were going to sign up but with this terrible experience we are taking our business elsewhere. smh
I’ve been working out for several years and Crunch Fitness Johns Creek was the change I needed. From their friendly team to the equipment, it’s all around incredible! Thank you Coach Adams for helping me along get over my plateau and for your incredible advice and encouragement!
They make it so difficult to cancel your membership. I haven’t been there in almost a year have called so many times to cancel and they say they won’t cancel until I come in person. My credit card changed so now they are charging my account each month, building a balance due and harassing me for payment. Very unprofessional. I don’t care if it is a good gym or not and I admit it is reasonably priced I will not give my business to a company that has these policies
Great gym. All the equipment you really need and dumbells up to 125. Lack of pull up stations and dip platforms, but minor complaint. You can still get them done. One major drawback is the crowd. Finding a squat rack or a bench can be near impossible at times. To be fair, they have quite a few, its just the crowd. Would pay $10 extra in fees to get auto flushing toilets in there...
Overall a very very good gym experience. Clean gym and a nice, helpful staff. However, my only complaint is the closing at 7 on weekends. Im literally at work all the hours that they are open. I understand closing an hour earlier or so on the weekends but 4 hours earlier than weekdays seems a bit much. I might have to go to another gym because Im losing money not getting to workout on the weekends even though I enjoy Crunch. In their defense, LA fitness does this as well so its not just crunch but some of us work on the weekends and want to workout :/.
Mediocrity at its finest as far as the employees. The place is run by a bunch of sorority/fraternity has beens who probably majored in communications but can’t seem to greet you when you walk in. The maintenance creep will follow you into the locker rooms to watch you change. All but like 2 of the trainers are out of shape..
Definitely the best gym I’ve ever been to and the energy is just amazing to be around. The staff is always greeting you with a smile and they are very clean. Also want to give a special shout out to Lacie! She definitely it is very motivating and treats a Place like it’s her own. Hard worker in and outside of the gym and a great friend. 🙌🏾👏🏾 Highly recommend
Just joined CRUNCH today! Hunter was super informative and attentive from the moment we walked in. He answered all of our questions and toured us around. There was no judgment & he was so kind. It can be extremely intimidating trying to start a fitness journey but Hunter made me feel welcomed and excited to start the journey. I am looking forward to coming to this gym & wish Hunter was a trainer!
I love this place . I always feel welcome . Everything so always on its spot and nice and clean . The whole staff is friendly. All the trainers are very helpful . I love my trainer she’s great . I love how they offer morning through evening different sessions to take . As well the amazing trainers with no such huge cost . I am been going to this place for more than two years now . And I am not planing to change the location or gym at all !!
I remember feeling nervous walking into Crunch Fitness for the first time. Mike and his team made me feel very comfortable. Everyone always acknowledges you by name. Thank you all for the constant motivation! Much thanks to Mike, Terri, Chris and the rest of the awesome Crunch Fitness staff at Johns Creek!!! 🙌🏽
This is the best gym for someone starting out in the gym. When you are greeted at the front desk there are professional (beautiful) staff that are good at their jobs. They made me feel comfortable and the pricing isn’t bad either $30 a month for access to everything. This place has everything!!! Sauna and locker in the bathroom, shower, (bring a padlock) and the sauna is in the locker room. They have every free weight and machine you could ever want with a lot of people there dedicated to perfecting themselves. I definitely recommend this place.
Charged me month after month for a membership that was supposed to only be three months and paid for up front. Damien handled the transaction which I paid for in cash, and then there was magically no record of the cash transaction. When I went in to confront the situation originally I was told Damien wasn’t available, and coincidentally he wasn’t available the next time I tried to contact him either. If you scroll through the reviews here you will see the same complaint from others mixed throughout with poorly automated responses from the staff claiming how they attempt to reach out and contact you. What they don’t tell you is that they don’t reach out to contact you, and they don’t make it easy to cancel by any means, and they will continue to charge you month after month. Buy your own weights and work out at home it will be cheaper in the long run than dealing with this circus. We moved all of our memberships from Crunch due to this poorly run location and will not return.
All the staff are super nice. They wave and say hello. Theres always a couple of people making sure the floors and machines are disinfected. My trainer, Lisa, is absolutely amazing. She tailors workouts for what you want out of the experience, changes things on the fly based on your fitness, and gives you the ability to track your workouts and explore new ones for when youre not with her. Crunch has plenty of machines so people can work out and not be on top of each other. I am very happy I signed up with Crunch.
CAUTION!!! READ!!! Horrible Experience.Ive been billed over $370 for 6 months, only 2 of which I was actually enrolled. Be very careful with this place. They make cancelling very difficult and intentionally make the entire process deceptive/unfamiliar. Im now getting literal debt collection mail for hundreds of dollars because of these people, which is ruining my credit.Apparently even if you get a new card, theyll continue billing the defunct one and will consider you still a member and pass on any unpaid fees to debt collection. Ive never seen anything like it out of the dozens of gyms Ive been too all across the country.
I love the Johns creek crunch! Definitely gets busy for sure, but pretty consistent for most Crunch locations. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely clean location as well. I trained with Jordan and he is an awesome trainer and person! I learned a ton from him and definitely made significant progress. Thankful to have gained a friend in the process! Great gym, super affordable and definitely better than any chain I’ve ever been a member of.
My friend has membership for Crunch and he brought me. First time I’d been in a gym in almost three years... we spent 2.5 hours doing legs, a little bit of arms, and abs. Not something I was used to. The gym was super clean and most people were good at wiping down equipment when they were done. Everyone was super friendly. Equipment is easy to use and tons of it so you’re not waiting on people to finish. Needless to say, it was an awesome first time experience being at Crunch.
Horrible customer service at front desk, they will try to scam into paying more once u first sign up be ware!.. so read the contract very well, and don’t let them rush you cuz they won’t refund u a penny…or even better if you wanna join , then sign up at a different location.
New member alert.Sarah and another manager were very nice. Good balance of all the fitness trends and the normal equipment. Good for lunks. Good for cardio fiends. Lots of squat racks. Plenty of tvs. Hot yoga. Also reasonable priced but no family deals which is the only negative.
Awesome equipment with an incredible staff! Sometimes I feel like I go just for the energy of the people who work there. They make me feel great and welcomed and even know my name! The equipment is fantastic, organized, and always clean. My only regret is I don’t have more time to workout there 7 days a week!
I can’t say nothing but GREAT things about this place! The cleanliness and the energetic energy is always on POINT! From the front desk with behind the mask smiles and greetings to the cleaning staff being friendly and to the awesome trainers especially DERRICK MORROW for the constant support, cheering, pushing, and wonderful positive workouts! He truly goes ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure his clients are extremely well taken care of in the BEST professional way! I can’t thank him and Crunch Fitness enough for helping me meet my target goals and others!
I’ve been working out at this gym for a while now and can honestly say that Jordan has to be the best employee and trainer at this location! He is great with communication and very passionate about what he does. He really motivates and encourages me to meet my goals. I’ve been approached by several trainers at this location and Jordan is the only one that I felt was actually passionate about what he does and really wanted to focus on my health and fitness goals and not just for the commission! He’s definitely a great asset for this location
I’m glad I chose crunch over some other options. I joined as someone who always felt uncomfortable or not good enough to be in a gym. But I have had a great experience every time I go in. From the front desk peeps to my personal trainer. As someone who is trying new things and trying to reach new goals this is a great place to do it!
I was a fan of this gym since I joined in 2017 but couple of days back incident changed my opinion. I stopped my membership last year because of pandemic and tried to rejoin couple of days back. Wrong information was provided to me while joining the gym again and was also charged wrong. I gave 2 star since I still love the ambience of the gym but proper training to the new staff is also required.
I had my girlfriend sign up here and we paid extra so I can come in as a guest. Every time I come here they’re relentless about asking me to sign up. It gets tiring and uncomfortable after the 100th time of politely declining. I’m at the point where it’s not worth going to the gym here if I know I’m going to get harassed.Edit: spoke to Anna who runs this location. She was very understanding and helpful to resolving our issue.
I have been going to this location for almost 2 years and all I can say is that the facility is always clean and the staffs are always professional. My current trainer, Jason, is a great example of the professionality within this location. He has went beyond his position as a trainer to make sure that his clients and I are all taken care of. I would 100% recommend training with Jason. No matter how much time you have with him, you will definitely get your training/workout worth because he will utilize every minute to make sure you get the best workout. So be prepare to get pushed!
Great, Clean facility with many helpful employees. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a gym. Additionally after the recent news I would like to say Chris’ departure will leave a gap in the Crunch family, however Paige seems to be on top of it. Great gym and FLY HIGH CHRIS 🕊
I cancelled the membership do to multiple negative interactions with the rude and unprofessional staff. The manager being the worst one. The day I cancelled, Damen said that my membership was cancelled and I told him, due to his staff I would never step foot in the gym again. They are still charging me money. Damen also forged my signature on a document. I asked him for a copy of the cancellation letter, he refused and said it would be emailed to me. He falsified information on that document. Read the reviews, this place is a scam. No one will answer calls or emails about your membership not ending or your bank account being charged. The Crunch Johns Creek is supposed to be affiliated with this gym, I have asked for help multiple times and been given the theres nothing we can do response. Please read the reviews about the tactics and ripoffs. This place will steal your money.
Crunch fitness is a great gym with top-tier equipment and a great staff. The staff was very helpful in helping me out and making sure I had a great workout! Great place to workout and will be recommending to anyone and everyone who is looking to join crunch fitness-johns creek!
Just started going to crunch about a month and a half ago, I was very impressed with the staff and facility it’s self. I was also very impressed by how spacious it was!! I talked to the staff about a personal trainer in which I met Jordan. I’ve been training with him for about 3 weeks now, hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had. Jordan is very knowledgeable, extremely involved with his clients, and will tell you the “why” behind anything. I look forward to working with him anytime I come to the gym!!
I didnt think I would like Crunch because Ive had a few gym memberships before, but it really is a great gym. The best part of Crunch for me is my personal trainer Derrick Morrow. Ive been working with him for a month now and he is a awesome trainer. He is accommodating to my physical limitations, very motivating, and great at coming up with challenging workouts. Youre going to hate him and love him at the same time cause he will DEFINITELY make you work for your goals. Its sucks being out of shape, but Derrick has been a great support in making sure I make time for my health. Sign up for Crunch if you want to get in shape and sign up with Derrick if youre ready for a lifestyle change.
Visiting the Atlanta area from London England .. the Johns Creek Crunch gym is brilliant, so much equipment to choose from its a gym lovers Heaven !! The front desk reception everyone is so helpful any questions you have ask Matty she will guide you in the right direction. Any training specific questions look for Q she’s the flyest trainer in the building and she knows her stuff 💯💯great gym !!
I started personal training back in September or October and in the midst of my three month contract, ended up having to get surgery. The staff was more than accommodating and helped me to freeze my trainings multiple times. Jordan, Joe, and Mika were all awesome throughout it all.I’ve trained with Joe and Mika, and both have been awesome in holding me accountable and making sure they’re giving me the right workouts for my body goals.I can’t recommend this gym enough. It’s the most affordable gym in Johns Creek yet it has everything you need, and the staff even takes the time to get to know customers by name.If you can afford spending a little extra for personal training, I highly recommend it.
I have worked with trainers in the past. I was also a trainer myself. Since I’ve been working with Derrick I have achieved a new understanding of what it is to be a trainer. Derrick has proven to be professional, sincere, and fully engaged with my progress and development unlike any other trainer I’ve worked with. His genuine concern about my progress, his attention to the fundamentals of form, and his enthusiastic encouragement have me putting in my best efforts to achieve my fitness goals. I also consider Derrick to be a solid friend.
I posted a review for the Snellville location a few weeks back. I travel for work and used the crunch closest to where I needed to be. This Tuesday I used Johns Creek. Hot water is a basic perk of a gym especially if you workout before work and it is how your day is started. This location also had ice cold showers. I was the only one showering at the time also. I canceled my membership before leaving and joined LA Fitness later that day. This morning I had a relaxing hot shower and and spacious locker room to change in at LA. For $7 more per month and a slightly larger yearly fee it was well worth the change. The gyms are great but such a simple perk cost a membership.
I love being a member of Crunch Fitness (Johns Creek). I recently started working with Lisa Kibler as my personal trainer, and it has been extremely rewarding. She is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. She is encouraging, motivating and very thorough with her explanations to demonstrate proper technique to ensure Im safe and help me understand what we are targeting in each exercise to effectively achieve my goals. I couldnt have made a better decision. Thank you Lisa, you rock.
Ive been working out here for about 3-4 month now. I like the environment that all the lovely staff creates here. They are encouraging, friendly, and helpful. I have personal training sessions with coach Jason Conyers, and I really see the progress and changes on my body. I am very satisfied with my experience here.
Not allowed to use equipment as designed. Upon being informed that I was not allowed to use regular (coated metal) plates on the platform/rack, I complied. Later on I was deadlifting off of the floor (not on a platform) using bumper plates on inside of bar, then regular as I added weight. Was told to stop using regular plates on floor (not even a posted rule) or to leave. I left. Staff was polite but I won’t be coming back to this location. The Chamblee location lets you use which ever plates you want. The foundation will handle far more than any human can lift so it’s ridiculous to have a rule forbidding someone from loading the bar with proper plates. The 3” thick rubber on the platform can handle even more. I’ve been a crunch member for 2 years and I really really like the Chamblee gym. If they start with these rules there, then I will cancel my membership.Edit: photo of 695 lb bar is from Chamblee. If you are into power lifting go to Chamblee Crunch.
Had a great experience here. Super friendly staff, they wear masks and do temperature checks at the front when you check in. They also provide disinfectant spray to wipe down the equipment and hand sanitizer. All of the equipment is well maintained and clean- would definitely recommend getting a membership here!
Great gym high energy and a good place to be.Pros:1. Great music2. Good variety of weights3. Good group sessions4. Comparatively neatCons:1. Less space and congested2. Limited equipments and waiting time on some of them3. Some Gym members are not disciplined to rerack weights4. Parking may be issue on some days
Don’t put your fitness goals on hold! Maximum effort is placed toward socially distancing, if you are on the fence about joining. I have been training with Derrick Morrow.. If you want REAL results and you are willing to put in work. Don’t hesitate, he is the BEST Personal Trainer in the Johns Creek area! Professional, excellent communication and prompt.
There is a lady by the name of Megan that works at Jones Creek Crunch fitness center. She is extremely professional, she’s very conscientious about the way that she comes to work; she is funny, she is talented, she doesn’t mess around, she is the Bomb.com.org.uk.https, awesome sauce. She will be an example for other ladies to follow in and… Merry Christmas
I went to the Johns Creek Crunch location for at least 6 months and I loved it. I usually went right when it opened or late afternoon and it was only busy a few times but the gym is big enough so that you have enough options of exercises to choose from. Unfortunately I moved and the closest Crunch to me is in Snellville, which sucks because they never have parking and it’s way too busy, but I hope I get the chance to go back to the Johns Creek location.
DO NOT TRUST THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. Here I am with ANOTHER negative review. Crunch is a SCAM on a corporate level. Not sure why I keep letting myself get played. Tons of hidden fees and they will intentionally conceal certain aspects of your contract. Almost all of the positive reviews from Facebook are posted by new members who just want to get a free t shirt. Not trustworthy, this place steals from their customers!!
This location is by far the most organized and operational gym I have been a member of. They glacé a full line of fitness equipment to cater to all fitness levels. Staff and trainers are great and the cleaning staff is superb. The place is always very clean and well maintained. Best decision I made was changing to this location

2022-02-23It was a great gym for me! Ive been here for 4 years and It was beautiful to see how much it improved. Warning though, it is always busy here unless you like 6AM or 2pm workouts! but anytime after its crowded. Management is really great, trainers are sweet and informative, and everything is well kept up!

2022-03-29I have been crunching for many years, and am loyal to this gym, but its getting insanely over crowded. Im happy for the success of the business, and I know there will never be a cap put on how many members can be in the gym at one time, but its frustrating that I can never find an open bench and it has limited what exercises I can do now. Also, I understand that its better at 6am but unfortunately I am only available during peak hours.

2022-08-20I just started back to working out (since social distancing), and all my experiences with my new fitness place, Crunch Fitness-Johns Creek, have been wonderful. Anna greets me at the front desk, answers all questions, always remember my name (even within a week of being new), and truly is a wonderful ambassador for this company. Anna and Stan always say Hi which hasnt been the case with other workout places. There is a huge amount of equipment, and cardio. I havent started back to the classes, but Ive checked what they have to offer, and it covers my needs. Also, they have spray bottles, and paper towels everywhere to keep as clean as possible. They also have enough equipment, that if someone gets a bit too close, I just move onto another one.

2022-08-19Great staff, very friendly and well trained. They wasted none of my time transferring here from another crunch. They have all of the equipment you could need. It isn’t five star because although the selection is wide, some of the equipment is old and there isn’t much space to work with. All around good gym. Love the sauna :)

2022-04-04The equipment is well cared for and the facilities are kept neat and clean. The employees are enthusiastic and once you’ve been a few times they are quick to remember you. The Yoga instructor is absolutely fantastic! Informative, chill, and easy to follow.

2022-06-06I love my trainer Jason Conyers! He is fantastic. Motivating, accountable and fun! I highly recommend asking for him to meet all your fitness goals. The reason for only 4 stars is that the gym really does need some deodorization! The mat area in the back, smells something horrid! and now that the weather and the location is getting warmer, the rank smell can be smelled once you walk in.

2022-06-09First time at this location, came with a friend. Staff was super friendly from the beginning, made me feel super welcome and comfortable even though I was new. Natalie and Korie were super friendly the entire time and remembered my name as I walked out. Will definitely be coming back! :>

2022-03-17I came in today to join and Mike was very helpful! I received a tour of the entire place and was introduced to a personal trainer right away to discuss my goals. I’m super pleased with my experience and I cant wait to begin training and taking the classes this gym provides.

2022-07-03Hands down the best gym in georgia. I believe Ive just about tried them all and that is the honest to God truth 🙏 I can bring a friend anytime I want and I have access to unlimited yoga including the hot yoga studio. I thoroughly enjoy Moniques hot yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursday along with the master Yogi Amy whos been practicing since she was like five every chance I can :-) I would say its a three-way tie of spiritual enlightenment between the two previously mentioned and Candice which I will be attending her class tomorrow morning 😇 the staff is always super nice of course the gym is always good and clean and the equipment always gets fixed quick if it breaks.
