Crunch Fitness - Perimeter in other cities:
Great Gym, I love the vibe and atmosphere of the gym every time I come in , the staff welcomes you in with good energy, to get you going for your workout. One of the best gyms i’ve been to ever since looking for a new gym, great equipment and just enough weights for everyone to go around and use. Crunch is defiantly the place to go!
I wanted to sign up for a membership through renew active and the clerk at the desk wearing an big Afro who says he is the manager offered me a promotional offer which was not what I came here for. The manager told me that he needed a renew active card or an email that was sent to me and I told him that I did not have either and that they gave me a number over the phone and refused to help at all. I left and now I’m back to speak with the regional manager I want to file a formal grievance against this place. I’ve been waiting to speak with the regional manager for about 5 minutes and decided to have a seat and write this review. I also went to One Life Fitness and became a member without any problems and I must add is a wonderful gym with a lot more to offer than this place. Don’t waste your time or money at this place. The meeting with the regional manager did not go any better. These people are rude and have horrible professionalism. Go to ONE LIFE FITNESS instead.
Awesome gym. The best part has the be the trainers. I came back into the gym after breaking my leg and needed surgery. Matt, Justin, and Jeremy in particular were really helpful in showing me exercises and modifications so that I could get my strength back. Justin’s Monday HIIT classes and Matt’s Wednesday classes can challenge you at any skill level. Overall just a great training environment
If you are looking for an affordable gym with everything you need in terms of equipment, classes, squat racks, etc. look no further than Crunch Perimeter. Ask for the Personal Training Manager, Justin Marshall, at the front desk for the best training advice and best personality in the building. He is extremely knowledgeable and just a joy to be around.
My fiancé and I joined Crunch this past January and we couldn’t be happier! The plans are so affordable compared to other local fitness clubs, and the amenities are perfect for our needs. We love the HIIT classes that are offered every week, and the staff is super friendly and accommodating!
Absolutely love this gym! Really great atmosphere, always clean, machines are kept up really well, and the staff is amazing and makes you feel welcome every time! :) plus this location is never too too crowded and people are always polite about their sets and respectful towards others. Great gym! :)
This is by far the best gym in ATL! Every time I come here, the front desk staff including Micco, Buddha, and John always welcome with a warm smile and greeting. I’ve never felt so accepted in a commercial gym before. The trainers are excellent at their job and extra attentive to detail. Please visit and ask for Matt or Justin so they can help you reach your goals.
I had a terrible experience here. The one day free trial they offer is a total scam, and they wont let you use it unless you sign up for a membership program before working out. I was planning on joining this gym given its proximity to my work, but the interaction with the sales team was so atrocious that I opted to pay more for a Onelife fitness membership instead.
Sharifa is awesome! She is a personal trainer that is focused on making sure her clients get the optimal results. I’m challenged because I’m bone to bone in my right knee. As such, she focuses on activities that have helped strengthen that knee. Today, I can walk more than 3 miles, squat, at least 30 minutes on the Elyptical and do almost anything on that knee to allow it to work at its optimal level. My doctor is pleased. She’s tough but she’s helped me do things I would not normally do. “No pain, No gain”
Worst salesmanship I’ve ever experienced.I had a valid 1 day free pass to try out the gym, and I allotted an hour to do so. I got there and explained I’m new to the area and would like to use the free pass to see if Crunch was a gym that resonated with me.The employee had me fill out all of my info again. He asked for my fitness goal and then backhandedly told me it wasn’t a real goal. Despite saying I was on a time crunch and just wanted to briefly try it out, he toured me around and showed me the expensive facets that I said were unnecessary. Clear indication that he was pushing a sale and not listening to my wants and needs. Then after all that, he said I live too far away to use the free day pass (I live 10 minutes away). He knew my address from the get-go! Wasting my time.I spoke with the manager Mikko, who did not qualify my objections. He told me I could pay $15 for my now 20 minute workout, or I could lock in my credit card. I explained I just wanted to see if I like the gym first, and he said, oh don’t worry you don’t get charged for the first week. To which I said, great, so I can cancel if I don’t end up loving it. But nope— he wouldn’t allow me to do that knowing that I might cancel. I wasted so much time to not even try out the gym. Crunch is a scam.
I currently train with Sharifah and shes awesome at her job! I needed someone to hold me accountable after gaining an excessive amount of weight and she does just that. She pushes me beyond the workouts I thought I was only capable of and the results are celebratory. Ive lost inches and I am down 14 pounds in a month and a half! The workouts can be a bit tough but its worth it. Sharifah offers professionalism, motivation, skill, meal prep ideas, additional workouts to do alone and a positive attitude. What more can you ask for in a trainer?! My trip to the gym is less intimidating and more effective!
I usually don’t come to this particular crunch but it’s close to school so some days if I do come here the people here are super friendly! In particular today Justin was super helpful and uplifting especially after a storm outside and got me motivated to have a good workout!
SCAM Alert. I wanted to sign up for the base membership as advertised on their website. The sales rep, who turned out to be the manager(Damien), attempted to sell me the higher plan, explaining how it’s a better deal. After I repeatedly told him that I rather stick with the base plan he said he couldn’t honor the price as advertised online since that’s “incorrect” and that it ‘hasn’t updated’. That’s the definition of false advertisement. Like another reviewer mentioned he suggested that I sign up for the higher plan then downgrade later. I walked away and would advise to consider another gym.
Been coming to crunch for almost a year now and training with Sharifah since October 2021. Sharifah has been amazing to work with and has bee encouraging and helpful towards me reach my goals. She asks how Im feeling throughout our sessions to make sure I am getting the most out of the training without hurting myself. If a movement feels weird, she switches it up so that I remain comfortable and confident the entire time. Have absolutely loved training with her and cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for a trainer.
I’m sure not at crunch gyms are like this but because of MIKO I had a terrible experience personally. I’m currently visiting a friend in Atlanta and also debating on jointing this gym back in my hometown. I took this opportunity to try and workout with her while I visit to see if this gym would be a good fit for me back home. My friend has attended this gym for about a year and receives guest passes frequently(and has never used one before). We tried to use one for myself and MIKO said because it expired 2 days ago there was nothing he could do. Mind u sitting on the table we’re about 50 other guest passes that expire the end of August. He then proceeded to tell me if I want to workout I need to spend $15 on a day pass and then tried to push a membership onto me. He was trying to sell me a membership so hard and started asking me things about crunch as if I had the chance to even experience it. Then he tried to tell me friend should pay more and extend her membership so I could workout with her. This clearly made no sense when I am only visiting for a few days and she doesn’t have other visitors. He basically turned us around and I couldn’t workout for my time visiting her and neither could she. A normal person wouldn’t dare to be so rude to someone looking to join a gym… especially a manager. When I tell you I will never join a crunch fitness I mean it.
I am at Crunch almost everyday of the week. One of my favorite workouts is Justin’s 7am HITT Class. Every part of your body will be working in this class. This class is for beginners to advance. He makes sure everyone understands the workouts thoroughly. He also comes with enough energy for everyone taking the class. It is a great way to start your Monday mornings. But, don’t for on Wednesday Matt has another HITT Class that challenges you also to get you body moving for the start of the day. (In my case how I close my day after leaving work) Come start your mornings moving to with Crunch.
Got Jeremy as a personal trainer here and I couldnt be more happy with the results. I have been working out for close to 15 years. After a few injuries I struggled to get back into it safe. After.only 3 weeks, Ive not only hit my weight goals, but I am loving the way Im looking and feeling again!I HIGHLY recommend Jeremy.
My fiancé & I moved to the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area about a year ago & immediately started to look for the nearest Crunch Fitness since we were members previously in the past! From Day 1 Micco, Quin, & all the staff at Crunch Perimeter have been nothing but caring & considerate! The energy at the gym is insane & the vibes are unmatched at this location! The people are so kind here, the gym is always clean, everything is always top tier! You are greeted with a smile with each new face I encounter 😊This is our new gym home & we love it here!We look forward to coming here week after week!
Very shady when it comes to cancelling personal training or regular membership. They will tell you that you cannot cancel on weekends, that everyones who can do it is busy, then when you finally cancel they will charge you again the next day after multiple promises that you will not be charged.Ive called and been put on hold for over 30 minutes multiple times and told that I will receive a call back only to never hear from them again.
Just joined this gym this past week. We both workout a lot and we’re ready for something different from LA Fitness and OneLife. Very clean, friendly staff, plenty of equipment, tanning bed, hydro beds, etc. I rated Crunch a 4 because their hiit/turf area is small and in the middle of the gym. I’d prefer it, as a woman, to be in a more private location versus in front of seated leg equipment where people can watch. Overall though, it’s great for my strength and cardio needs and HIIT will likely be in a group class versus on the turf.
I started working with Sharifah Robertson when I was 8 months pregnant. Sharifah guided me in pregnancy safe exercises that still challenged my endurance and strength. Since I delivered I was counting down until she could train me again. She is someone that hears your goals and challenges you at every session to push past what you think you’re capable of. Working with her means you will never plateau in your workouts, it also means you will actually be excited to enter the gym!
Just joined a little over a month ago. Another gym is one block from me, but I chose a 12 min drive here instead for a few reasons:The staff is friendly. We’ve primarily dealt with Buddha who is incredibly nice, approachable, and helpful! My gf and I had a couple issues in the first few weeks with our plan that were technically our fault and Buddha did not hesitate to jump in and help us out with a smile on his face. Can’t thank him enough for going above and beyond to make it work for us!I like to do a mix of strength, hypertrophy, functional hiit, and mobility training. The choice of equipment at this gym is perfect for all of those!I like the yoga classes for active recovery and flexibility work too.I haven’t tried the sauna/recovery section of the gym so I can’t speak to that.I also like their app that syncs up with Apple Health and offers some additional motivation and logging options. If I had to say some negatives, it would be that they get really packed during certain hours, and some members have a sense of gym bro-culture entitlement and don’t wipe down equipment or re-rack weights when they’re done. But you get some of that at any gym. There’s a really nice man who walks around cleaning all the time and there are paper towels and spray readily available all throughout the gym. And when I go during slower hours, I rarely need to wait to use equipment. If you’re someone who likes powerlifting, CrossFit type equipment (not workouts), bodybuilding, hiit, cardio, or a mix of it all, you’ll like this gym for its variety. So far, I’ve had an overall great experience, mostly thanks to Buddha!
The staff is friendly and welcoming every time you walk into the gym which makes you feel good that you are there. I give this gym 3 stars because the cleanliness of the locker rooms continuously is slacking. It doesn’t seem like the employees clean the bathroom very often and that is gross for a highly trafficked public place! I wish Crunch would keep the locker rooms as clean as they keep their cardio machines. I do like Crunch because the energy is always high and the music is great! Not a horrible gym for the low membership price!
The gym is OK but the bathrooms need work. My biggest issue is that when joining they asked me for both a credit card and a bank account. I tried to cancel the membership before moving out of state and I had to speak to the manager to do so but the manager was never there each time I tried. I ended up moving and they do not let you cancel online or via phone. You have to mail a letter like if we lived in 1900s. I went to another crunch in Florida in person and the manager said says he can’t cancel it either and I have to mail a letter 🤦🏻♀️ Huge inconvenience and I would never join again.
Ive had an amazing experience working with Matt. Hes a personal trainer at this gym. Hes been nothing but kind, supportive and insightful. I love the hydromassage option if you get the top tier membership. It definitely leaves me super relaxed after a great workout. The equipments great and the vibes chill. Also recommend taking their classes here. My tip is to RSVP the day of to classes in case you dont know if you can make it.
Gym looked nice, was definitely intrigued. It showed online that they have a free 7 day pass...came in and they said they could only honor a one day pass. Came in here to workout and feel out the gym for myself before signing up. Faced with the manager instead...who proceeded to give an uncomfortably overbearing and aggressive sales pitch. Thankful that I didnt sign any agreement - including for a free day pass. They wanted my credit card info to lock in some rate for a contract...meanwhile I didnt even know if I liked this gym yet as I havent even gotten a feel for it before Im being pressured to sign some document. Felt like a walking dollar sign in here. I get it, sales are important...but less is more.
This is a a tough review to write, because I have been very happy with Crunch Fitness since I joined at the beginning of the pandemic after LA Fitness decided to remain closed for several months after initially deciding to reopen. I love the atmosphere, the weights, the machines and most of the people. However, the management at this location has decided to turn a blind eye to the recent problem of locker break-ins at this location. No one made any attempt to alert me to a recent rash of break-ins. Last week, my lock was ripped off and my wallet stolen and immediately taken to Walmart for fraudulent use. These thieves are professionals and will empty out credit and debit cards in a matter of minutes at the Walmart right down the street after they bust open your locker. As I was concluding my report with the police, another Crunch member came up to the front desk to notify them that he had been robbed also. Management has not emailed warnings or posted signs alerting guests of the theft problem. Meanwhile, Crunch does not offer any lockboxes under video surveillance near the guest services counter, so there is nowhere to safely store any valuables at this location. Instead, management uses the line that they obviously cannot install cameras in the locker room to nab thieves. Other people have been affected by the thefts, as I noticed today only 2 people had locks on their lockers in the entire locker room during rush hour. Most people now keep their valuables in their backpacks with them while they exercise, but this does not seem like a good solution for me. I will need to find another place to exercise, unfortunately, because I no longer feel the club is taking my safety and well-being seriously.
I’ve never been a huge fan of going to the gym. Mostly kept in shape by playing soccer, and the occasional home workouts. That was until last year when I decided that I wanted to push myself further. I choose Crunch Fitness perimeter due to its proximity and the overall maintenance of the equipment. Excited but a little confused on where to begin, I was ready to start pushing. Thankfully the initial signup included a free assessment with a trainer. That’s where I met Trey who was immediately able to point out some misalignments and tendencies when it came to my overall form. After that meeting I knew that if I wanted to make the most out of this, I needed a trainer. Someone that could help me improve my form, keep me accountable, and more importantly keep things fresh/new. All I had to do was show up. It’s been about 3 months now, and this is probably the strongest I’ve ever been (shoutout to Greg as well). We’ve hit most of the goals we had set up during that initial assessment, and I’m ready to keep growing and learning. Honestly the biggest thing I got out of this, is that I’m starting to feel more comfortable with going to gym and it’s starting to become a habit that I enjoy.
This place is full of Frauds. I went for a $10 Trial class on 5th Sep 2021 with Madison as Instructor. I thought it was too expensive so did not sign up further. However, I saw a mail on 10 Sep satiating that my credit card has been charged for membership which I never. I spoke to the manager and he assured it was a mistake and he has processed a refund. However, I was still being charged. I spoke to the manager again on 19th Jan and then the same song and dance that we have processed the request you would see the refund in few weeks. But till now they are still charging.I have a bad feeling about the management and the way this center is being run. Please BE AWARE!
Had the worst experience. As a retired professional athlete I’ve been to fitness facilities all over the world so I’m not new to this. I recently moved to Atlanta so I was in search for a gym. I signed up for the free pass to try the gym (Perimeter location) yesterday and left dissatisfied. I’m not an American so I don’t have a local ID, the manager says this is a requirement to utilize the free pass but in the same breath mentions that I can sign up for a membership with only 1 cent down… I guess I can get a membership without a local ID. Unfortunately for them they had no idea that my intentions were to sign up but that’s no longer happening.
I have been a member of crunch for many years, and have always loved the concept of this gym. I have had an unimaginable 6 months including purchasing my first home, then immediately dealing with catastrophic water damage to the point where my baby and I were forced to pack for 6 months of living within 8 hours and immediately moved out. Since then my house has been gutted and my baby and I have had to bounce from from family to hotels, and just recently finally got a new place to call home while our house is being rebuilt. During this unfortunate period I was being charged $74 every 2 weeks for recurring personal training that I don’t even recall signing up for, and over 6 months never received a call from Crunch to actually use as I hadn’t been in the gym once since our tragedy which was MONTHS AGO. Once I noticed the odd charge and that I’ve been receiving these charges since August totaling over $800, I explained my situation to the PT manager of this location and asked that they please reverse these charges considering my situation & the fact that I have not used the sessions. I was informed it was not possible to reverse, but it could be cancelled going forward. On the cancellation form there was a section to request reimbursement….. I asked about it & this manager advised it has to go to the district manager & it WILL be declined. I requested to submit the request anyway… the manager informed he will get back to me with a decision. Weeks passed and I never heard anything. I also received another $74 charge after!! when reaching out to the manager, he stated it was Because I was within 10 days of the next charge (you charged me every 14 days so that leaves a 4 day window ti cancel & not get charged again??) he also stated the request was declined. I asked is there a reason I was never contacted, and he did not respond. I have requested the information to corporate or the main person in charge of this branch several times to discuss this issue, and have been told they do not have it.There is absolutely no compassion, empathy, or respect for members shown in this situation, and it has forever put a sour taste in my mouth for the crunch brand. As someone who works in a leadership position for a largely known corporation across the world, I suggest providing leadership training to your associates BEFORE making them managers so they do not ruin your business with ego.
I love the Crunch brand and have been a member for several years, however a recent experience at this gym will cause me to move to another gym. I have had an unbelievable 6 months which consisted of purchasing my first home & it immediately flooding. My baby and I have been displaced for the last 3 months, and just got a temporary place to call home weeks ago. During this time, I was being charged $74 every two weeks by this gym and had no idea. Once finding $800+ for personal training charges last month, I have been begging for these charges to be reversed due to my extreme circumstances and considering I hadn’t even been in the gym in months. The PT manager, Justin, has been very dismissive and rude about this whole situation. He advised there is no way to be reimbursed, however provided me a form to stop future charges that had a clear section to request reimbursement. I pushed to request reimbursement and was told I needed approval from the district manager, & he’d let me know what they said. I never heard anything after weeks. When I checked back in I was told “it was denied” with no explanation nor excuse for why I was not contacted. I was also charged another $74 after requesting cancellation of the PT charges. I’ve asked for the contact information for another manager or corporate office several times and have been told there is not one.Not once did this person show any empathy or compassion, just seemed annoyed and had an attitude. This person also LIED and stated they reached out to me regarding the PT sessions I was signed up for to try to get me in the gym to use them, however I was NEVER, NOT ONCE contacted about these sessions, and had no idea I was even signed up. I even have a paper trail of our communication which shows the last contact in August 2021.I would think any brand this big could see this circumstance and understand the need of their longtime customer, & not being able to do so would describe all the recent 1 star ratings all related to the service being provided in the Perimeter branch. As a leader for a large organization known worldwide, I would highly suggest the people appointed into leadership positions receive training before they run your business to the ground.
Micco, the general manager, is exceptional. I was in a time crunch before leaving town and needed to use a local gym for a short period of time, and Micco was very accommodating and helpful. He was very honest about the payment plans, and gave me the absolute best arrangement for my situation. Very professional and clearly places a high priority on client-relationship. Because of my experience, I would certainly recommend Crunch fitness over other gyms north of the perimeter.
This is a great gym and I’ve been going here for a few years! It’s super clean (as clean as a gym can really be) and there’s tons of equipment. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Sometimes the billing can be confusing—but again, super friendly staff to help. Highly recommend coming here!
I cancelled my membership in October and have documented proof of this . They have been continuously taken money out of my account and it’s February!! I’ve spoken with the branch manager SEVERAL times and even provided proof and he’s assured me every single time I would get a refund etc . I do NOT recommend this center as they have committed fraud at this point and have been stealing money from me for months !!!
Absolutely in love with my gym experience at crunch. The staff is always incredibly helpful and friendly. Machines are well maintained and fit my needs. Cancelled my LA Fitness membership to come exclusively here. Shout out to Damien for always being so helpful and friendly!
After i got an injury ion my Ankle in October, i went to crunch and asked to cancel my personal trainer membership. However , they offered to pause it instead of canceling for 5 month which I agreed.surprisingly, they started charging again in November without any notification. When I inquired about this error after noticing my credit card statement, they said this happened due to system error and they can’t offer a refund.Ultimately, they offered to cancel my membership after paying one more installment of personal trainer. With a broken ankle, i ended up paying 4 additional installments and $300 extra for personal trainer.Ideally there should not had any charges if their system is working fine. They have penalized me for the error in their system.I will not recommend Crunch to anyone in future..
Horrible experience! The trainers there only want to sell you something, they don’t care about your fitness journey.I switched to this gym because it was close to my house. Immediately they told me about a “kick off” event, which I understood to be an intro to the gym.I was not aware that it was basically a trainer trying to force you to sign up for expensive training sessions. Even though I said multiple times that I was uncomfortable with the price, he pushed until I finally agreed to something. I was under the impression that I could try it out and just cancel if it got too much.Well I only met with my trainer once before deciding to cancel, which is when I found out that I was being charged $200 for my next session and nothing could stop it because it was already “pending”. I was then told that I’m actually unable to cancel at all because apparently I’m locked in for 3 months. This was NEVER explained to me or I would not of signed up. The icing on the cake was the head trainer finding amusement in my panic attack and mocked me about ruining my credit if I chose not to pay. It’s the holiday season. Their sign up tactics are predatory!! You think you’re talking to someone who cares about your fitness journey but really they are just trying to gain access to your account. Why am I responsible for paying for services I don’t want. On top of the fact that I don’t feel comfortable entering that gym anymore.Might I also add that covid procedures are not adhered to. The trainer didn’t even have me wipe down equipment when I was done.At this point I’m contacting the better business bureau and corporate
Recently left a more expensive club that I felt I wasn’t utilizing much aside from the gym. I toured three other gyms within about a five minute radius and this Crunch had what I was looking for: Clean, lots of equipment, well maintained, gym focused.I also love the personal touch the staff put on their social media, the fact that it’s not cookie cutter posts about promotions all the time like other gyms gives it more of a community feel. The tik toks and reels are hilarious.I’ve been coming at lunch and there is plenty of open spots on both cardio equipment and the power racks. I haven’t tried out any of the classes yet so can’t speak on them, but the gym itself is exactly what I was looking for and well within a reasonable gym budget.
I had a one day-pass I attempted to use at the Crunch in Sandy Springs. The on-staff manager was completely rude and unprofessional, denied me entry to try the gym solely because I had an out of state address. I keep two residences, one in FL and one here in Ga, but my license reflects Florida as my primary address so due to this I was unable to use their gym.My personal experience at this gym was not a good one. If these are in fact their corporate policies to deny entry for a one day pass due to the requirement for a local address they will be losing out on potential business. I never leave reviews but decided to post just incase someone is like myself and moved to the area and looking for a local gym but who resides in two states, so they dont also waste their time traveling there to be denied entry to workout.
I signed up for the 3-day free trial online. When I went in the same day to use it, I was asked if I had ever been there before. I told them yes, because I had run on a treadmill there once for an hour as a guest of my husbands. They told me they could not honor my free trial because of it. I explained that I wanted to try out their weights, in hopes to start lifting, so the guy told me I could join for $1 for the first month. The sign up process was very misleading as to the financial commitment (3 months of full membership of $30/month, plus the $50 annual fee if not cancelled in the first 5 days). While discussing lifting technique with my husband, he told me about an experience he had when he brought his friend to Crunch when he was a member to help her start lifting, and was approached by a trainer and told he wasnt allowed to help his own guest, and they would have to pay a trainer for her to learn (or else try on her own, risking injury anyway ??). When trying to cancel on day 5, I was put on hold for over 40 minutes. Finally, after explaining for the 4th time that I wanted to cancel that same day, and wasnt able to come in person due to contracting COVID-19, I had to mail a letter via snail mail, just so it contained a physical signature.
I came in to workout with a friend back in February and I really enjoyed the environment, so I joined! Stephanie is awesome at the front desk she has such a sweet and warm spirit! Damien is also the bomb.com he hooked me up with a great membership! This gym is clean, friendly, and well equipped! Crunch fitness is helping me crush my goals!!!
Jess greets me everytime I enter (or leave)the door by first name basis. (Great Customer Service) Staff is very friendly. I even got a chance to meet the Regional manager Julian (coolest guy stop what hes doing and chat always). I would definitely recommend people to the well kept up gym. The Custodian are the best, theyre the heart of the gym to make it looks professional and clean. I definitely salute and give praise to the them. Thank you guys for a job well done.
(Edit November 15, 2021) I am still waiting for a response regarding the incorrect billing of a plan that was cancelled on the trial period. This is by far the worst gym I ever experienced. Its bad service, not professional, and scamming potential clients. I already sent 5 emails and called asking for a refund and no one is capable of solving the problem.------------------------------------------------------------I enrolled for a week trial and had to cancel the membership. The environment is engaging and employees are friendly. However, the place is not following COVID-19 basic safety measures like temp checks at entrance, social distancing nor masks. It felt very unsafe, specially because the virus is still present. Also, the employee mentioned when I enrolled that the cancellation process was simple and without hassle. However, when I cancelled within the trial period the same employee said I would need to send a certified mail to the corporate office in Florida in order to get the cancellation completed - what about the no-hassle cancellation? I sent the certified e-mail and now have to keep the receipt just in case they charge me the full membership.Terrible service!(Edit Aug 5, 2021) I already sent emails and called the location as they incorrectly charged the monthly fees even though I cancelled within trial. I’m trying to get a refund but no employee is able to help with that always saying that corporate office needs to issue the refund. Downgrading my rating to 1 star but I would give easily zero.
It was great a environment. We came all the way from Maryland looking for a gym and found this one. Micco really gave us a very welcoming vibe and introduce us to Crunch. It was our first experience and great one at that. The squat racks and the platforms are great for the Olympic lifting workouts we do. Matthew even stop by and gave me a little training session about my form and helped me get another set in for snatches. We will definitely be coming here whenever we visit Atlanta. Appreciate you Micco and Matthew ✊🏾
My first time hearing about this gym was when I came as a guest. I was asked to input my information into your database and have been receiving marketing text messages ever since. This past Tuesday I received a text message stating that I qualified for a free VIP pass would expire within the next seven days. When I came to this location to redeem the offer I was advised by the gentleman on duty that effective this week they are no longer honoring promotions sent out by the corporate office. From my standpoint it seems as though you guys are using unethical sales tactics and false advertising in order to get people to sign up for the memberships. This needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau..
Signed up for a basic membership valued at $9.99 a month online in addition to a sign up fee of $60.Immediately after signing up I received a phone call from Tom stating I could save money over the course of three months if I changed my membership to a mid tier plan. I agreed to the change and Tom stated he would email me the receipts.Turns out he changed me to their version of the premium plan which would not save me any money and end up costing more. When I asked him to change the plan to the one agreed upon he said he could not do that and that would require cancelling everything. He said he would give me a credit for the difference in price instead. When I asked for an email confirmation he refused to send one. I cancelled my entire membership the next day as it fell into the GA state mandated 7 day grace period.Highly recommend against signing up for this gym as they are trying to scam new members. You can read similar complaints by other customers. Tom and Damian are trying to upsell plans without consent.
Okay gym for the price. One staff member here seems to enforce rules that other crunch locations that I have been to do not (cannot squat with a normal 45 lb plate or deadlift from the safety bars with a normal 45lb plate). Makes little sense as I am not dropping the weight on the ground and not damaging the floor. I have been a member here for almost a year and I have never had a problem with this before in the past until only about two weeks ago.
Ive been a crunch member since February and Ive been watching the Utilities department **Stephanie, Lovette, and the gentlemen** keep the gym impeccably CLEAN! I appreciate their efforts to keep us safe during these unprecedented times! Keep up the fabulous work! **If there is a night crew shout out to them too**
I went in for a trial and then they told me that my drivers license had to have a local address although I live in the area. Red flag #1. I said whatever ok I’ll sign up for a membership since I was planning on so anyways. The gym is smaller than I thought and veryyy crowded. I’ve been to Crunch fitness in other locations and they were much more spacious. They are also renovating so some amenities are unavailable so you don’t get what you pay for. So I ended up just wanting to cancel. When I called the guy told me I wasn’t in my grace period and that I couldn’t cancel. I double checked when I got off the phone and turns out I was within my grace period. He just tried to play me and get me stuck in a contract. Had I not double checked, I would’ve been stuck with a membership. I called back, and told them that I am within the grace period according to my contract so they have to cancel my membership. To which they agreed because they could not argue or lie about what was on my contract. Im thankful I checked it myself, because they really just straight up lied to me. It’s also supposed to be “no hassle cancellation” but they told me I had to mail a letter to the corporate office in Florida to request cancellation and refund. I did so and am waiting for an update. Very sneaky management and I don’t appreciate being lied to about my grace period in order to trap me in a contract.
Scam to get you to sign up. With a one day pass. Damien the club manager threatened to break my face. Also called and emailed everyday to get me to sign up. Maybe the owner should hire professional who dont threaten disabled veterans.. see ya though guy. Could of had you arrested but I dont call police
I didnt care for Damian (or Damien). His attitude was terrible and he kept interrupting me and talking over me instead of listening when I was trying to gather information on my account. Extremely frustrating. Im likely to cancel my membership within the week. The rest of the staff is always great! Shout out to Husseyin and Justin for being such understanding and respectful trainers.
I cancelled the membership do to multiple negative interactions with the rude and unprofessional staff. The manager being the worst one. The day I cancelled, Damen said that my membership was cancelled and I told him, due to his staff I would never step foot in the gym again. They are still charging me money. Damen also forged my signature on a document. I asked him for a copy of the cancellation letter, he refused and said it would be emailed to me. He falsified information on that document. Read the reviews, this place is a scam. No one will answer calls or emails about your membership not ending or your bank account being charged. The Crunch Johns Creek is supposed to be affiliated with this gym, I have asked for help multiple times and been given the theres nothing we can do response. Please read the reviews about the tactics and ripoffs. This place will steal your money.
Their entire business model is to make it as difficult as possible to cancel your membership. Brandon canceled and changed my membership to a more expensive one and never fixed or refunded as they promised they would. Never once did I authorize, or was informed of these changes. DO NOT sign up here, I would give these scammers negative stars if I could. It’s abundantly clear Management supports and probably encourages their shady business practices.
Well I arrived on an invite to a 3 day complimentary pass which is clearly on FB..was told I could only use a 1-day pass then gave me the sales jargon.. the size is quite small compared to other facilities Ive joined or had a visit with..then later the same evening a Rep called to see when Id like to come in & use my 3 day invite..🤣 he was shocked 😲 when I told him what I encountered just a few previous hours before his call.
I absolutely love this club!! We looked hard to find somewhere we could lift that wasn’t across town but after spending just a few months with my AWSOME trainer Rachael I actually find myself looking at apartments close to Crunch Perimeter just so I can keep seeing her!!! She is the best lifting coach i could possibly ask for and had made me feel super comfortable and confident as a girl who never lifted in her whole life! If i could give more stars i would!

2022-03-04I do personal training with Jeremy and he has helped me make tremendous strides towards my fitness goals! Before, I’ve always fallen off with the gym but now I’ve seen an increase in weight and muscle mass. Jeremy is knowledgeable about fitness/nutrition and tailors programs to fit my goals and lifestyle. I’ve realized I’ve been doing lots of exercises incorrectly and he corrects my form to make sure what I’m doing is most effective. I really appreciate the extra motivation he gives me and the confidence he has helped me build when going to the gym! Would highly recommend trying personal training here!

2022-04-25Equipment is great, everything is clean.Good luck tanning though. Thats the entire reason I signed on, I mostly workout elsewhere. Twice Ive waited to tan and they put someone else in before me. Today after the first time they did it, Im told go back its open. Guess what? Nope. A simple Im sorry wouldve been nice, but I guess I dont deserve that. Might as well cancel the membership I have, when Im less aggravated.

2022-06-06I’ve been going to this Crunch Facility for 1 year and a half, and I love it. I have a personal trainer, Justin Marshall, who has gone out of his way to find movements to strengthen my knee after injury. He’s encouraging, incredibly upbeat, and motivates me to do my best. When I walk through the door, the entire staff greets me and makes me feel welcomed. I’m an older mom trying to get in shape and I never ever feel judged, only support.

2022-03-20I have been going to this location for almost a year and can honestly say the people here are family. They treat everyone equally and genuinely want to know their members as people outside of the gym. I get so excited to workout when I walk into the gym and am immediately greeted by the staff members. Facility is always clean and put together and the members are just as friendly as the staff. I love everyone here and have made some great friendships! Gymtimidation is non existent at Crunch Perimeter! ;)

2022-07-27Crunch Perimeter is a gym with great resources and great faculty. I did Personal Training with Matt, who helped me develop a strong foundation and knowledge of fitness.Throughout the personal training process, Matt made an active effort to observe what exercises would be most suitable for me. For example, he noticed there were weaknesses with my lower back, core, and hamstring - and catered 8 week workout plans to further develop and strengthen those regions. In addition, Matt demonstrated an active interest in injury prevention and diet. Many times, he would demonstrate stretching routines to enhance my training and to improve my mobility. Over time, I found myself to feel more flexible and comfortable in my workouts. Matt also made sure to make dietary suggestions based around my fitness goals - where he monitored aspects such as calorie intake and protein consumption.Overall, both the facility and personal training were very good, and I would recommend in the future. The personal training process definitely guided me in beginning my fitness journey, and I did see noticeable results. I would also recommend Matt in personal training as he was a very encouraging and knowledgeable coach.

I got a few sessions with a personal trainer and Quentin who was chosen for me has been great. His attention to detail and his approach are great. Ive had great experiences with him and definitely recommend him as your personal trainer.

2022-04-26🚨This place is a SCAM. Do not accept personal training from these people if you must go there. If you think you absolutely need to a personal trainer through this fraudulent company, PLEASE read the fine print. They will say one thing and deceive you about what us actually in the contract. I was told I could cancel 2 weeks before training to go to a lower price bracket after being falsely informed of the original pay schedule and it would not affect my account because I gave due notice and would not be receiving the training. The woman not only lied but changed me over and STILL charged me for something I never received. Tried to take it up with the manager and he arrogantly claimed that was my fault for not reading the fine print. Again, this company is a SCAM. BUYER BEWARE!!🚨 People arent lying about this place. Go in with your eyes open. Georgia State University offers a much better priced membership and the personal trainers charge no more than $50 the last I checked and they have a much better attitude. Call and ask, dont let this company steal your money. Oh, and I also encourage you to file a complaint with the BBB like I will after writing this review.Update: Ignore the false attempt at placating theyre trying to give below. I wrote emails to corporate, filed a claim as they directed to get this resolved and they ignored my emails and continued to place a lien on my credit. These people are criminals. They dont care about you, only your money.

2022-03-23I’ve been a member since 2015 and it’s always been a sublime experience, from the time I time I walk in the door until I leave the gym. Chief Micco is always here to greet me with a smile, personally Mike gives be the best workout advice. When I commenced I Weighed 187lbs with 36% body fat, It’s my firm notion that if it wasn’t for the crunch fitness crew leaders and personal trainers I wouldn’t have dropped to my very proud 162lbs

2022-03-08They charged me 150$ even though I didnt use their Gym. They kept charging my credit card till it expired even though I told them to stop my membership on phone. They simply wont cancel the membership over phone and ask me to travel to their gym in person. I moved to a different state and its simply not possible. Kudos to your shady contracts and ethics.
