Crunch Fitness - Roswell in other cities:
I recently signed up for a membership at crunch. Ryan H. made it super easy and fast. Everyone is very nice and attentive. I like the different classes that are offered and the options on a personal trainer. I look forward to restarting my fitness journey at my new gym.
I got a free trial awhile back and they said i wouldn’t get charged if i canceled within that thursday. i canceled on time and in person and they still ended up charging me. Also when i was canceling, the manager was very rude and kept consisting that i was for no reason when i told him i just didn’t like the gym. Definitely do not recommend crunch to anyone.
Very Poor Service from the Manager Mike once I decided to cancel. He was unprofessional and that’s being Generous. I had great experiences with other crunch centers in the past but Mike by far is the worst with customer relations. I would advise if you decide to join crunch fitness don’t do so at this location in Roswell!
Its a good gym, but its always packed. Crunch operates on a model of subscribing more customers than it can support at one time. They bank of the fact you wont go... which is why thier cheapest option is $10. Then when you try to cancel or downgrade, they charge you fees.As gyms go, this facility is good.Itd crowded, but okay. Not worth more than $10 a month
Mike the general manager explained that every customer must pay an annual fee of 50After 60 days even if you decide to cancel before the 90 days. He did nothing but make excuses about how everyone pays it even if I was not told when I signed up on a promotion. They do not look to help the customers if they feel it is not a place that is a good fit nor do they try to return the annual fee. Please do not be fooled by there 14.99 fee a month. This gym is also not clean
I just went to the gym for the first time in weeks (9/6) and Mike checked me in. I didn’t have my key card and he said we now need the app to check in. Apparently, I don’t have a choice and must get the app. I was threatened to get it or have to pay a fine. I have limited space on my phone and don’t want to get the app. I don’t understand why we are being forced to have it. What about people who don’t have a phone or (can’t afford one)? I’ve noticed the owner saying this gym tries to make “gym-provements to keep the members happy”. I think this policy is a little bit ridiculous and discriminatory. Forcing members to have the app is not a one size fits all improvement and actually limits flexibility when you don’t provide other options for us to check in. I know one of your core values at this gym is inclusivity and today for the first time because of this negative experience checking in I felt excluded. Do better crunch fitness.
Place is awesome, great staff very welcoming and it feels like home , no judging and everyone gets special attention as far as their abilities , place is spotless and a great felling in the way out ! I’m 73 and loving it .. if you think you can’t you totally can with this staff and the diversified amazing equipmentLove it !! Go get ‘‘em seniors
I have been coming to this location since they opened. I love the variety of equipment, amount of racks and bars they have. The best parts is the staff, I am always greeted with good attitude and it makes you excited to come back. A special shoutout to the newbie Ingo, he is very professional and happy to help ! Ask for Ingo !!
Thoroughly disappointed with the customer service at Crunch. They try to make their memberships as “sticky” as possible. You either have to go into Crunch in person or mail in a letter to cancel. Not that it’s that complex, but it is both unconventional and inconvenient. Not to mention, there is a cancellation fee.C’mon guys. It’s 2022. If people want to cancel, you’re only going to make things worse by adding layers to the process.
Originally I thought that this gym would be friendly and judgement free. However after a plethora of “hidden” fees and back and fourth with a trainer who seemingly had a bad attitude about me not wanting the training services I would give this gym ZERO stars if I could. They are money driven and don’t actually care if people experience different life encounters and aren’t able to or don’t feel up to working out. The trainer Dale attitude is disgusting and had I not chosen him I probably would have continued my membership. This place is awful if you aren’t 110 lbs and “fit”
I canceled my membership in early 2020 after moving out of state and they continued to bill me. Once I noticed, I contacted them 2 months ago and they asked for proof I moved, which I provided. I then received an email notification that I have a new account, and they are NOW BILLING ME TWICE FOR A MEMBERSHIP I HAVE NOT USED IN 2.5 YEARS. I have reported this theft to my credit card company.EDIT: as I have previously replied, I did cancel the original membership in person in early 2020, then moved out of state. When I found you were still billing me, I requested it to stop. I was then signed up for a 2nd membership and billed for a 2nd membership which I did not agree to. I have proof of this via emails. This is fraud and theft and no one at this company will help fix it.
HAVE BEEN TRYING TO REACH “MIKE” THE GM IF HE EVEN EXISTS FOR THREE DAYS. EACH TIME CALLING HE IS NEVER IN OR LEAVES “EARLY” AND HAVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR OVER FIVE MINUTES WAITING. CAN NOT GET CORPORATE INFORMATION & THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANY NUMBERS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. GABE IS THE ONLY PERSON THERE WHO IS VERY HELPFUL & HAS TAKEN TIME TO HELP!
Very solid gym everything you could want been going here almost a year and love it only issue I have with this gym is the selling system they have for newcomers. Be aware that 50$ will be charged on your second month I wasn’t told that when I signed up but it’s worth it in the long run.
Ive been a member for the past three yrs at Crunch Fitness Roswell. I like the team here , the facility is100% clean. They really take pride in keeping that way throughout Covid19. Andrew is phenomenal, friendly and Great trainer . I would highly recommend everyone in and around the Roswell and adjoining cities to check them out. You wont regret it.
SCAM ALERT. Came to my store while on shift and didn’t leave until one of us signed up for their bogus service. Was told it would be $15 a month. Got charged $30 a month instead. They said I signed a year long contract and I signed nothing at all! Got slapped with a $50 annual fee I was never told about. Wouldn’t let me cancel my service over the phone, so I came in to get it cancelled and they refused because I supposedly signed a contract, but refused to show me the contract I signed with my signature. (Because there wasn’t one!) I’m battling them through my bank account to stop the monthly charges. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
The place over all is good which gives it a 1 star however, once you sign up for personal training they never mention you cannot cancel until you pay a ridiculous amount of money, the manager isn’t that great and they tell you false information and make a hassle out of you trying to cancel even costumer service for crush fitness cannot help as it is independently owned. I would personally say they are not easy to handle. They need to tell you a lot of things before you sign a contract with them which they do not tell you, they say you can cancel whenever but it is a lie you cannot cancel until they want you to cancel.
If you can avoid them please do. They have ridiculous policy and fees. They are extremely forceful. I was supposed to receive discount due to my employer and they never applied it to my account. I had to leave the country and once I returned tried to immediately cancel and they made it extremely difficult. All they want to do is take your money and they dont actually care. They will force you to pay fees and harass you!
I recently noticed change in the Roswell Center. I came to know today that it is due to newly joined Manager Matt Courtney who leads by example. I noticed that he goes checks and replaces empty Sanitizer bottles, pick up trashes and clean workstations/machines and racks. This is a welcome change. Thank You Matt!!
Beware of the MANY fees and being taken advantage of at this location. In this case, my 18 year old stepson was totally taken advantage of being new to workout facilities and contracts. After an introductory visit, he was convinced to sign up, and was roped into many fees that were buried in the fine print. After realizing he was signed up and on the hook for a minimum of 3 months, he went in to personally cancel his membership. After the smooth talkers talked to him, they told him that there was not a way to cancel early since he singed the contract. He was convinced during this meeting that he may as well use his 3 month membership to its fullest. After these folks realized they had someone here they could easily manipulate, he was signed up for over $2000 in personal training plus the monthly membership fees. This is where his mom and I got involved. My wife called and they agreed to lower the personal training to just below $500, but they would not cancel the personal training entirely. We also agreed to the ~$22 a month fee. They told us that the only way he could cancel was to do so in person at the end of his 3 months and he had to do this ONLY on the last day of his membership, something I still find odd. Yesterday, we saw a $49.99 charge so we called about this and found they charged an ANNUAL FEE. Really??? Who charges an annual fee after 2 months into a 3 month contract when we were clear that he would no longer be renewing!! After another call, we were assured this was clear and that this was standard procedure for all of Crunch Fitness. Steer clear of this place!! Not sure if all Crunch Fitness locations are like this, but I personally will be sharing with friends and family in Roswell.
I wish I can give o stars ⭐️ those people are crook.First when I signed up for the membership for 22.99 they never mentioned any annual fee period. They told me in 60 days I can downgrade to the basic one so when I see my bank account they already took 49.99. After I spoke to more than 10 people that the manager will call me to fix my problem but I never receive any call from that manager so finally I got a chance to talk to manager named by VIn or van he’s the worst manager I never see in my whole life. So I canceled the membership and I called the bank to tell do not accept any withdrawal from them in my account after after several attempt it did not work so they changed my credit card that’s in their files wow that’s a shame that’s stealing so well I don’t recommend nobody to this place
Girlfriend and I visited this gym since its location was convenient. Amenities seemed nice, but we quickly realized the multiple fees involved with membership were numerous and not straightforward at all. This gym also requires a bank account number for membership! We absolutely were not on board with it and walked out after spending an hour in the gym. This gym refrains from publishing their full membership terms online in order to force people to take their sales pitch at the location. What a waste of time. Not a transparent process at all.
UPDATE: IT WAS RESOLVEDUpdating this because I was eventually assigned a better trainer, Gio and my concerns were resolved. Gio is knowledgeable and very professional.Im still registered here and I continue to enjoy the gym.For the sake of full transparency, Im leaving my initial review below._______I was made to believe I would have a dedicated personal trainer – someone who would work with me on all facets or fitness: Gym training, diet etc. Thats what they tell you to get you to drop the cash. But at the end of the day, you basically just get someone watching you while you train. It might be beneficial ONLY for people who are new to working out.Other than that, they have a wide array of equipment. I particularly enjoy the free weights corner. And they do the bare minimum to keep the space sanitized in light of Covid.
So many great things to say! I toured a dozen gyms & studios and this is definitely THE spot for me. Not too big, not too small/boutique-y. Vibe is chill and very welcoming to beginners like me and gym rats alike. Tons of clean, updated machines, weights, open mat area and big studio. Wide variety of exciting classes, with enough schedule options to suit almost anyone. Personal training programs are great too (yeah Heather Friese!!) Staff is helpful, friendly and its an awesome price. Love this place ❤️❤️
Was working out with my boyfriend in the free weight area. A woman In charge of a class came over and was very rude to us and told us we had to get out of the roped off area (the entire free weight area). I do hiit workouts only so that is the only area I use. She was rude and said “you know what, you don’t have to move”…. Goes and gets a manager. The manager proceeds to talk down to us and rudely tell us to get out of the area. Follows us to another area after we moved and continues to pick a fight and threaten to cancel our membership and call the cops? WHAT. JUST. HAPPENED? Most unprofessional thing I’ve seen in a while. Would not recommend.
Terrible terrible experience. I do not recommend this place to anyone if you are POC. My boyfriend is African American and I am Asian and we were training together along with my sister and his brother. After being racially profiled by a staff member who worked there, we were told that we could not hold private training sessions. Mind you… the gym was packed, everyone was working out with their friends, family… whoever. The only people that was told to not have private training was US. Which was not all the case.., we had memberships!! And we were not charging/paying anyone to be trained. So what’s the issue? Cause we were POC. When I spoke to the manager about this issue, he made it clear that my opinion about the matter was not valid and I was wrong for feeling the way I do. He did not try to better my experience and caught a very sarcastic attitude with me. I’ve had great experiences with crunch in other locations.. but this by far.. the worst!
It’s a nice enough gym to use if you don’t go during a busy time, but be sure to have their representatives explain the fine print of their memberships and “deals” in excruciating detail. I just paid close to a $100 membership cancellation fee. 0/10 would recommend that experience to anyone.
To make it simple read the reviews. impossible to cancel a membership. Vince the manager could care less about a single customer. Read the hundreds of reviews. Possibly the worst business i have ever dealt with. do yourself a favor and find another Gym. When i blocked crunch as a merchant to stop the unauthorized charges bank of america told me they are the number one merchant that gets disputed. They will continue to try to run your card from several merchant numbers they use. The person that signed me up Fraudulently finished signing my contract that i never signed. Folks do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I am making it my project to put a stop to it. So far i have 30 people with th same story as me.IN ADDITION TO YOUR RESPONSE THAT IS FALSE. THE CONTRACT WAS NEVER COMPLETED. SHOW ME MY SIGNATURE? IT HAS ALREADY BEEN TAKEN UP WITH MY LEGAL TEAM. I SPECIFICALLY DID NOT MOVE FORWARD WITH THE SIGNING UP. I HAVE NUMEROUS STATEMENTS NOW FROM OTHER EX MEMBERS AS WELL AS EMPLOYEES THAT THE GYM DOESNT EVEN REFUND 10 BUCKS SOMETIMES ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO DEAL WITH THIS GYM. AND AS FAR AS YOUR CONTRACT I KNOW WHAT IT SAYS BUT YOUR OTHER MANAGER ANDREW TOLD ME ON THE PHONE THE PEOPLE LEAVING THE REVIEWS ARE JUST KARENS WHO DONT KNOW HOW TO READ A CONTRACT. I CAN ASSURE MY EDUCATION GOES WAY PAST BOTH YOUR MANAGERS. BOTTOM LINE STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AND THE RESPONSES TO THE 1 STAR REVIEWS ARE COMPLETE LIES!!!! ONE AGAIN STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.....
That place is FILTHY. Ive been to other gyms and understand that its a gym.. but the dressing room for the gentlemen is disgusting. It looks like it hasnt been cleaned in weeks. Their service is also horrible. They do a fantastic job of coming off as if they care. FILTHY!!
I did not want to join a gym. I figured at 61 years old why bother. I had belonged to other gyms and I always felt less than or not as good looking etc. And then I met the professional people at Crunch. They hooked me up. They listened to my concerns about joining a gym and tailored what I needed so that I would be as successful as I wanted. Jordan, Gino and Carmelo are awesome to work with and they motivate the heck out of me.
Been going here since November 2020. Great gym with a friendly staff. Everything you need to get a good work out. They keep it nice and clean since corona. I like to go toward the end of the day because its less crowded. But during peak hours isnt bad either. Highly recommended 👌
Really cool place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Alot people who workout there are in really good shape and are super helpful with tips on how to get the most out of your time there. I really like this place. Ive done the Yoga & High Intensity Interval Training classes and the instructors were awesome.. Challenging yet not impossible. Very rewarding in both cases.
Crunch is my absolute favorite gym but the Roswell location is definitely one of my favorites! The staff and trainers here are amazing and super friendly!I’ve been working with one of their trainers, Ceci, and she’s helping me in ways other trainers have never been able to do! The value you get for the price of the membership is insane, I’ll be a Crunch member for life!
My problem with Crunch isnt the actual gym itself, but it is the billing and refunding process. I originally came in for a job interview and I felt the interview went pretty well even though Crunch wasnt a place I could see myself working at by the end of the interview. At the end, the assistant manager Andrew told me that they had a promotion going on for a 1 week free trial with a 5 cents joining fee. I told him that I already had a gym membership and that I didnt really need the trial and he insisted (because everything is about sign ups there) and it was only a nickel so I decided to join. My first mistake was putting my billing information on file but he assured me if I came into the gym and cancelled before the 1 week was up, I would not get billed for the month and it would end my trial at Crunch. So I use the gym for a few days and fast forward to 5 days later, there is $30 missing from my bank account for Crunch Fitness Club and Fees. Now just imagine my shock when I saw that. I was billed on a Wednesday and the next day on Thursday I went up there with many questions like, Why was I billed 5 days into my 7 day trial when the assistant manager gave me a date to cancel by specifically so I wouldnt get billed in the first place? the General Manager named Vince told me that they normally bill on the 5th day for whatever reason even though that was never communicated. He said that if I were to cancel before the trial was over that I could still be refunded my money back and, thats exactly what I did after my workout that day. I went to the desk again and this time there was an assistant manager named Mike there and I told him the whole situation and that I wanted to cancel. He essentially turned into a used car salesman and did everything under the Sun to try to convince me to stay with them because like I said earlier, the sale/member retention is all that matters to workers at Crunch Fitness. I repeatedly said, No Im going to cancel yall took my money within 5 days of the trail and I already have a better gym that I go to that I like more. He finally cancelled my trial and said the money would be refunded within a week or so. I waited a week and there was no money that was back in my account so I had to call and talk with someone who said that it should really be 10-12 business days. This was also a lie and it took 3 WHOLE WEEKS which was about 16 BUSINESS DAYS for me to get my $30 back that they took in 5 NON-BUSINESS days. I had to fight with these people for almost a month over $30 not because of the amount, but because of the principle of signing people up on a false premise. I will not ever be returning to Crunch Fitness and anyone reading this should be wary of their promotions because my family and I both believe they come off more as scams than actual promotions to draw people in.
The location and size of this gym is perfect. It’s close to home and every time I walk in I feel welcomed and it’s easy to get around. There’s plenty of classes and the associates that work there are very helpful and friendly! Shoutout to Hailey, Andrew, and Dylan! Great place for people that are new to the gym and anyone in general. The equipment is quality and this place is always clean. Shoutout to Fred! Keep up the great work y’all !
I am a member of this location and signed up and paid for kickboxing lessons for my daughter with a trainer name Miracle, I paid for 4 lessons... the trainer quit working at the gym after just one session and informed my daughter she could train her on her own... I have been trying to get a refund for those remaining sessions for over a month with no call backs and me constantly getting the run around but had no problem taking my money. I will be terminating my membership as soon as this is resolved. Poor service all around.
BUYER BEWARE! Beware of their scheming fee policies! They have you sign your agreement on a pen pad where you can not see the agreement so they can swindle you into all their fees and bogus policies when you want to leave. You can not cancel over the phone so you must go into the gym or send a letter. Once you go into the gym or they receive the letter, it counts as your 30 day notice so you are still stuck paying for at least another month. In addition to the policies, the gym equipment is often broken or dirty making an unpleasant environment.
This gym charged me for months after I canceled, then when I caught the charges I called and they apologized and claimed it wouldn’t happen again. Then they CONTINUED to charge me so I called my bank and canceled my card. And then, many months later, they put me in collection. Now they are claiming that I never signed the cancellation form which I did in person, and said that they will lower my owed amount if I sign up for a new membership. But I don’t owe them anything. Absolutely ridiculous. Reporting them to the CFPB and FTC. Hopefully they get penalized for this nonsense whether it be malicious intent or gross incompetence. I will also be disputing the collection with Transunion and Equifax.
I thought I really liked this gym until recently. I had a MAJOR surgery in January with recovery time being 6-12 months. I was planning ahead and asked to cancel my membership in December. I was told I could freeze my account so I agreed, but they didn’t tell me I would then have to pay again when it unfreezes instead of being able to cancel. And you can only freeze for 3 months. So if they would have cancelled on my original request, or told me I’d be charged after unfreezing my account, in which I would have then said just to cancel, I wouldn’t be left being charged for a gym membership I can’t even physically use. Absolutely ridiculous.
I went in this morning to tour the gym and sign up for a membership, but I was instantly turned off. There seemed to be some type of disagreement between a member and an employee at the desk. He was maybe about 5’7” brunette, white, skinny. didn’t catch his name. I think the member was concerned about her account or something along those lines i didn’t catch the whole conversation. the guy at the desk was very impatient and rude and was even using profanity. he seemed to have a really short temper. i turned around and left. i wouldn’t suggest this location if they are going to hire people like that.
It was fine. Went at 6am on weekday. A little crowded. They only use bumper plates on the squat rack so thats a big negative. Loading 315+ using those things is annoying. Dont think you can even do 405.Machines are ok. Benches are too low and not wide.I cant believe Im saying this but I prefer la fitness
If you are thinking of What gym should I join ? I highly recommend Crunch. I have a membership with LA Fitness and Onelife also but Crunch makes me feel at home. The staff here is beyond amazing, super helpful and always positive. As soon as you walk in you are greeting with good vibes and warm welcomes. The place is always clean , plenty of classes to join . If youre on the fence on where to join , give Crunch a try, I did and I love it here.
Crunch purchased a failed gym near by that was closed due to the pandemic. With no written or emailed notification from Crunch continues to charge the members of the former. I was billed $49.99 annual fee on April 14th 2021 for a location that has been closed since July 2020. Ive reached out via social media (Twitter and Facebook) and have yet to be contacted. I went in person and was told, no refund will be given and it as out of their control. But they will go forward and cancel my membership to the previous gym to prevent any future bills. I was billed by Crunch Fitness and if you are able to cancel any future bills, you are admitting to billing me. I would simply like a full refund of 49.99.
The manager was extremely rude !!!! I called and spoke to a employee and was informed that my account my canceled. The very next day I called because they took a total of 3 payments out of my account . 2 for $49.00 and one one for $46.28. He was very hostile saying you can try too get your money back , but your not going too get it very unprofessional and want ever be visiting again.
Great gym, always clean, everyone does a really good job of maintaining a respectable social distance and its never over crowded. Rarely have to wait for a machine or rack, and the price makes it hard to beat. Ive belonged to a few different crunch locations over the years, but the roswell holcomb bridge location by far has been the best!
The gym itself is nice. The personal training is a rip-off. I signed up for personal training and decided to cancel it. I tried to go in right after I signed up and because the manager was not there they did not let me cancel. I then cancelled the membership on July 1st and the next billing cycle was on July 3rd I was charged another $180. Frustrating to say the least then I have emailed the club about the charge twice with no response. Don’t sign up for the personal training the charges won’t stop when you decide to cancel, it’s a rip off! I will change my review once I get a response from the gym and get my refund.
Just bad business to tell the customer one thing and then do another. I went in to cancel, man at the desk told me I would not be charged anything after the cancellation (as I paid my $10 membership). Then I get charged $60 today. For “annual” membership fee and my next months fee. So I call and the GM, who was nice and I was admittedly very rude, told me sorry that’s what you signed up for. Ok that’s fine, but when your employee gives me an expectation that I will not be charged any more, that is bad business. I called my bank. They are removing the charge. But still bad business
A lot of noise pollution at Crunch RoswellThe music is too loud in the gymOne goes to the gym to get healthy - here you may get physically fit, but your brain will be fried with the deafening music constantly hitting your brain, even with your ears plugged.Someone needs to educate the gym people about the health hazards of noise pollution- loud noise/musicI have told them numerous times, twitted multiple times - but no change.
Best gym in all of Atlanta! Equipment is awesome! The staff is super friendly, the gym is always clean (like brand new)! And $24,95 for everything you get is by far best deal in town! Unlimited HIIT classes is worth the price alone! plus massage, plus tanning, plus bring a friend, plus classes, plus access to all their locations - no brainer!
Never signed up for this gym, but they started charging my credit card after YouFit in Sandy Springs closed. Not sure how that happened, maybe they bought my data? Either way, when contacted, they claimed they had not charged me, despite the clear charge on my credit card. I had to file a fraud claim, which is a pain, and should have been unnecessary.Too bad, too. The pictures look nice and it is close to my office. I would have like to join later once my office opens back up.Respond to the owner - I am aware you agree to take some members. I had a month to month, also I never agreed to go to you gym or transfer my membership. I certainly didnt authorize use of my credit card. The biggest problem is, you claimed that you didnt charge me (I have this in an email) when I have a charge from you on my bill. Luckily, I did flag you for fraud, because you then tried to charge me an additional $36 feet, which my company blocked. I wish you had just canceled the unauthorized charge to begin with, at least until I was able to actually visit the gym.
The Crunch Roswell team is great. Having friendly, caring people makes all the difference with a positive gym experience. I’ve seen how big it’s going to be - and it’s going to be an incredible space. I’m so excited about all the squat racks, the turf, and the classes!! Plus who doesn’t love hydrotherapy massage? 5/5 recommend
I had billing issues for months and was promised to have my account frozen to make up for incorrect billings. They dont do refunds even if the errors are made by the staff, so I agreed and was given a card to use during the freeze period. I kept getting billed so I called to ask why, the GM told me he can only honor a portion of the time he originally promised, despite the dates he wrote on the card. I obviously cancelled my membership today, although Im still waiting for confirmation. This place is a joke!
Called to cancel my membership a year ago, an associate verified that my account was closed & I would no longer be changed. A year later, I’m still being charged. I called to see why & was told my membership was never canceled even though an associate verified that it was. Told me there was nothing they can do to compensate me because of their lack of communication. I won’t be back.
Crunch is really doing there due dillegence with trying everything they can to keep covid out. They got facility cleaning about every 30 mins, They also take the temp of everyone who comes in, they always have paper towels and spray stocked at stations all over the gym to wipe down equipment before and after use(this is on you as a member. So, dont be a jerk and wipe down when you are done with equipment). The folks that work here are really nice too.I dig this place with a shovel.
Gyms should let you cancel online with the click of a button like any other subscription service. Why can’t they catch up with the times? They won’t let you cancel in the phone either even though that would be entirely possible and easy. Of course I was charged again even after cancelling in person.EDIT: Hey Crunch, thanks for your reply. I did not sign up to this gym, my membership was transferred from Youfit so I never saw membership papers. I did in fact walk in to cancel and was not asked to sign anything. This clearly could have been done over the phone.
I cannot wait for the grand opening! The staff is so sweet, friendly and brings such a great energy to the place! Knowing that this is going to be the biggest Crunch Fitness in Georgia is also very excited and makes me worry less about the wait time for equipment and machines.
Do not go here if you are looking for professionalism. Vince mostly but Heather as well are all about the $$$ and not the clients themselves. Very unprofessional, argumentative and arrogant. I own a business myself and can tell you in the past 6 years I’ve owned it I have never and would never think of speaking to a customer as they have spoken to me. Vince has to be the most arrogant GM if that’s even want to call him there has to be.
Love this gym so far! To be honest, a part of me hopes that not everyone will find out about it so it does not become overcrowded lol. But for the price, you cannot beat it. I cant believe I was paying the same price for Planet Fitness, what a joke. This gym is 10x that and if everyone realized, everyone would sign up here. I plan on being a member here for a long time.
I was not looking to join a gym but after meeting Shawn and Landon while I was out shopping, they have me really excited about my new membership. I am really looking forward to this location opening. I am also bringing my fiancé and brother to join with me. We were just talking about how ‘good’ customer service is hard to come by so I KNOW they are going to love these guys. 😊
I was assured by their sales person that at no point would they be requiring masks which is the reason i had joined this gym. within 2 weeks they required masks being worn from the entrance to the register desk. if they think that its dangerous in that 5 feet from the door to the desk but majestic unicorns appear after that space then perhaps they shouldnt be open to begin with and is much to dangerous for the spread of the virus. They changed their agreement and will not honor the terms nor void the contract.
A staff member from this office came to our office saying we can sign up on a neighbors penny deal that doesn’t lock us in any contract only try for a month and if we want it we can get a real membership. WELL that was a complete lie I never went in to even do the 30 day trial (which I was just told it was really 7 days) never set foot in the gym but I’ve just got a collection call about them I called and was informed it automatically signed me up even if I never been there I ask how can I close this active account and was told I can’t until I pay off the balance (mind you i have no clue what I’ve been charged for !penny turned into 200) so now I have an account that’s going keep charging me for something I don’t want, use or never ask for ,Not to mention cant afford due to the pandemic !DONT TRUST THEIR FIELD SALES TEAM. my coworker that signed up is also dealing with the same issue. I hate I went off somebody word I totally blame myself on that part but lesson learned.
I was a long time member of LA Fitness until Crunch Roswell opened. Nice gym with a huge variety of state-of-the-art equipment without all the excessive amenities I never use like a swimming pool or racquetball court. Just a lot of weights, weight machines, fitness trainers (such as elliptical & treadmill) plus a lot of cable machine accessories. For less than what I paid monthly at LAF, the stand-up tanners and hydro massagers are also included. The gym stays nice and cool, its clean and the staff is super friendly, especially Allie (give the girl a raise)! A big shout of thanks to all the staff at Crunch!
Big shout out to Carla Lambert!I’ve been training with her since you opened!! She motivates me to do better all the time. Such a quality of life improvement for me ! Her workouts are target to improve my core and overall strength so I can handle my everyday back pain. Great expertise and professionalism ! What I love about her most: Her gentle but persistent push for me to do better. Great expertise and professionalism ! Highly recommend her.
Very disappointed with the way the gym is handling The Covid situation. Even though they disinfect regularly they do not care about social distancing. Ive spoken to other people who go to other gyms and they have made a point of separating equipment so people are not next to each other when they work out thats not the case at this gym except for the cardio equipment. People have literally gotten into my face and I noticed that the staff does not wear masks. I feel bad because the equipment is really good but dont feel comfortable working out there. May have to go elsewhere.
Let’s start with this Roswell locations does not follow any of the COVID requirements. I had to ask Heather to put her mask on while talking to me and she refused rolled her eyes and walked away. Do not sign up for ANYTHING extra with this business. The front desk/ managers are clueless and always “have to report” to some Carmelo guy who doesn’t have any contact information for any changes. This business is constantly just charging you for any and everything even after you’ve canceled. I will never be back and I will encourage anyone that I know to do the same.
They would get 0 stars if possible. My daughter and I were members of Youfit and they closed during the pandemic. We cancelled our memberships. Never joined Crucnch, was told, we were automatically switched to Crunch. Did I say we never joined Crunch. Called to tell them not to charge us...we moved to a different state and my daughter is still getting charged. What I would like to know is how can a company I have never given my cc info to or permission to charge me ...do so?Re your reply...Did you not read my review? We are not, nor ever were Crunch members...Of course we cannot stop by as I said earlier we moved to a different state and we have called several times... To no avail. Hopefully my daughter has done a stop payment and asked her bank to retrive all funds paid to you.Re: My daughter never set foot in this gym. Never joined and never authorized them to charge her debit card. She is still battling to ger her funds back and most recently Crunch told her bank it was a valid transaction. How can that be?
Second review of this facility, only because my visit on 15 Aug 2020 warrants it, this is a great facility with awesome equipment but their front desk associates are lazy and complacent, especially in returning your drivers license to you. I have never been to any other gym that requires you to surrender your drivers license except for this facility. I have been to other Crunch locations and they do not require you to surrender you DL but this location does. The front desk staff forgot to return my DL to me again and I got all the way home, which was a 45 minute drive, and had to drive all the way back to this facility to retrieve it.Livid!!!I am NEVER returning to this facility ever again and I would not recommend any one else visit this facility UNTIL they remove the policy of surrendering your drivers license. Visit another Crunch if you want to use equipment that they offer.
So I joined Crunch fitness! I was given the grand tour by Bryson. Bryson was very welcoming, friendly and professional. He made me feel comfortable as he showed me around the facility. I also signed up for a training session to get me started with trainer Crystal who was also super nice. The facility was spacious, nice and clean. The music was good and it was just an upbeat atmosphere. The sign up process took less than 5 minutes. I was a previous Planet Fitness members, but there were more perks at Crunch to include HIIT workouts, a dry sauna, and yoga classes etc. it wasn’t hard to change my mind for the exact same price!!! Now what are you waiting on, get to Crunch and sign up!!!
I love CRUNCH Roswell and have been going here since it opened in July 2019. I am, however, disappointed in the cleanliness. I feel like members should do their part to ensure a clean workout environment but I see more people use a machine (while dripping in sweat) and NOT wipe it down afterwards than I see people who do. I wish staff did more to enforce this.
My card was charged a total of $80 when I didnt sign up for a membership. I was told that he was going to hold my card number to ensure I would get special pricing for a week and if I called and told him that I didnt want to become a member he would delete it so the membership wouldnt go through - which was a lie.I have spoken to a million people trying to get my refund and nobody has helped me. Im tired of begging for my money. And until I do - this review will stay and I will let every one of my customers know not to come here!
I am sooo excited for crunch to expand and I had the best experience with Hailey today! She was absolutely one of the kindest and knowledgeable people I have met. I plan on signing my family up as soon as we can. I hope the rest of the staff can follow her as an example!!
This is an updated review. Since Covid this facility has upped its game with respect to cleanliness with staff taking more care of cleaning. Before the shutdown I had this place rated two stars due to desk staff laziness and inattention to the floor conditions. I still think the music selection by the desk staff is poor.
I am sorry but today I will have to cancel my membership at Crunch fitness because I was threatened for writing a review that I went back and corrected and talked to the guy about. I have no other choice but to get the Police involved because I do not know the person!
The music is way too loud, especially by the sqaut racks. Its unbearable at the squat racks closest to the speakers.Unfortunately, the only available squat rack was the one on the far right .It was so loud, I had to quit after only my second warm up rep.I decided to wait until one of the racks further away from the speaker became available.I mentioned this to one of the workers at the front desk. Her reply was, I have no control over that.It didnt occur to her to inform someone higher up in management. Not a very helpful attitude.Edited to add. It now appears the loudness of the music depends upon the style of music being played.About 3 minutes after the middle squat rack became available, the volume was turned down to a reasonable level. However, about half way through that set, they changed the music and turned the music up to a redicolous level again.
This Crunch Fitness Roswell, Ga is a Great Club. I was visiting for the holidays and had a great workout. Big Open Floor Plan. All major equipment whether you’re a power lifter, cross fitter, cardio or calisthenics, it’s all here for you. And Brandon is an awesome guy that helped out.

2022-07-03I’ve been to quite a good amount of gyms in the past, and I hated their customer service. But Crunch Fitness, especially the one in Roswell, really shows that they care about their members. I feel right at home over there. Everyone is so nice, warming, and most importantly, welcoming. I look forward going to crunch especially when I’m having a bad day or a rough morning because I know I’ll always be greeted with the most genuine smile and a “how’s your morning/day going?” It’s a different culture at Crunch Roswell. I want to give a shout-out to Matt because I called Crunch this morning to check up on my membership , and he was very efficient and polite, something you do not get at other gyms AT ALL. Please keep up the good work, Crunch Roswell. When I lose these 45 lbs, it’s because you helped me by lifting up my spirits with your immaculate customer service :)

2022-09-22Crunch Roswell is my favorite gym and Ive been a member of many. Definitely found a home not only due to the incredible equipment but because in the morning the front desk manager is awesome. Karlas is the most welcoming person Ive ever encountered at a gym. Will definitely be here for the long haul.

2022-08-15Crunch Roswell is fantastic! The employees are very accommodating. (Especially Andrew, Mike, and Stephen!) I had to cancel my membership with Crunch when I moved out of the state. When I moved back to Georgia, they made my registration experience easy and effortless. It’s great to be back. Thank you all so much!

2022-07-22Equipment sucks here. Dead lift bars for benching and EZ curl bars that are awkward in the hands. They get the job done but experienced lifters will not enjoy going here. Weight stacks are also weird and they have no mini lockers for keys and walletsEdit- dumbest design on the calf raise machine. Bump is too high to easily rest the weight back. So you’re forced to drop the weight and then take off all the weights just to pick it up and set it againEdit- They decide to clean their locker rooms in the middle of the day. 2-3pm. I’ve had my keys and wallet held hostage until she was done cleaning the entire locker room. It’s ignorant.

2022-06-06I rejoined crunch fitness in Roswell Georgia today on 6/6/2022. I must admit the whole vibe of the gym is awesome. I really enjoyed myself and can’t wait to return Wednesday. Matt was an absolute gentleman and make you feel totally comfortable. Great place

2022-06-06Im a recent transplant to the area and Im loving this place... Ive used different crunch locations and im really enjoying this one. The staff is SO helpful and attentive, the space is kept clean and I love the classes. I can usually find one that I like considering my schedule is always in flux - plus, theyre usually done with in 45 minutes so if i only have an hour or so to work out, it gets the job done. Thanks Crunch!!!

2022-06-21I loved this gym in the beginning, but at this point I would not recommend. I had downgraded my membership and they didn’t process the downgrade until I called after being overcharged for 3 months. They told me I could submit a claim for the funds, that would be reviewed, and approved or denied. 5.5 months went by, and I never heard anything about the refund. I called them again to follow up, and she said “oh it looks like it was denied”. I asked why I wasn’t notified of that, since in the email, it said a crunch rep would contact me with the final decision. She then said she could resubmit, and they would probably approve a reimbursement to my crunch membership. So I now have a free 3 months, at a gym that I haven’t gone to for the past 3 months. Again, I was not notified of this decision until I went to cancel my membership. There is no communication and no responsibility or integrity taken when they make errors. They also charge you to downgrade your plan, so they over charge you for 3 months and charge you an extra $20 to make a change that they never made in the first place.**Edit in response to the owner**I have been in contact with Karla since November trying to get my money back. I had asked her several times to get me in contact with corporate or whoever approves refunds, and she refused because there was no corporate office. She wouldn’t let me speak with anyone above herself, which to me, seems pretty scammy. If you would like to finally fix your staffs mistake, you can contact me. Karla should know who I am.
