I’ve been living here for about 3 months now and I love it. Akeyla is amazing! 🤩She made my transition into my apartment so easy and smooth. I’m so glad she got promoted to leasing manager. The position is well deserved. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful. I feel very protected. I never have to worry about loud neighbors and everyone seems to speak and just mind their own business. When ever I put in a request with the leasing office, they always respond quickly and take care of what ever I need done. All of the staff members are very professional and nice. This really is a great place to live.
I have been residing at this complex since it was name Keenland Farms then Ashford Woods and now Cumberland Pointe.Pros: Great location! Close to the city , the Braves Stadium, and plenty restaurants. Maintenance is quick to respond to work orders.Cons: I keep my place clean. The roach infestation is horrible there’s no escaping it. Roaches are literally everywhere big ones too. They are in the apartment, I open the cabinet to grab a utensil there’s one crawling around my dishes, they’re in the hallways, the pool, the gym. It’s so bad that I don’t even want to cook and only use disposable plates and cups. Also there are mice. I’ve heard my neighbors complain but never saw one until….. last-night I was awakened by scratching noises coming from the wall like something was trying to dig it’s way through and today lo and behold as I was watching TV a mouse ran across my living room floor. Last but not least the rent has increased to almost double than what I was paying the year before. I will not pay a non-negotiable 40% increase in rent to live under these conditions nor will I pay that price for an outdated non luxurious basic apartment. Not all the apartments here look as good as they do on the website. Goodbye Cumberland Pointe.
I recently went in to tour these units after getting what I believe is a divine call from one of the new leasing consultants Jamarcus AND I was presently surprised. He was knowledgeable, honest and patient with me and the million questions that I asked. He walked me through every dime I could expect to spend, have me his best professional advice and walked me through the application process and completing it on that same day! He was such a dope spirit! Even if I don’t get approved, I still recommend. Great people and seemingly great place to stay.I even got a chance to hear the relationship with the maintenance guys as I was in the office and even they seem to move with urgency.I will say the ground look good but the doors and walkways to the units could use a little pressure wash or sweep. Other than that, it’s literally perfect! And might I add affordable!
I recently moved into a newly renovated unit at the Pointe. Shaniqa was able to assist me from when we first toured to move-in and has been a huge help! At move-in, I had an issue with installing my washer/dryer due to a vent issue and our maintenance manager Luis was able to go above and beyond by installing it himself. For such a large complex, I am very impressed that things run as smoothly as they do. I am very impressed with the value and customer service I have received so far.
This community has been amazing since new management started. Whether it be the Maintenance requests getting completed within the same day or the quick response Im getting back from the Leasing Office, I am happy to see a familiar face in the office Shaniqa who has always done an awesome job helping me by following on the maintenance request. Sometimes the leasing office team members comes to my apartment and help us in getting the issue fixed. Overall this is an very good community to live in. I really suggest this apartments for my friends
In the 4 years I have lived in the Atlanta area, this has been by far the best move in experience I have ever had. Lindsey as well as all of the leasing staff have been amazing since day 1 of my move in process. The apartment unit that I’m living in now was not move in ready at the time that I viewed it when I came for a tour, but they ensured me that the renovations will be complete by the time I pick up my keys. Even after moving in, the leasing staff takes their time to check up on you and make sure everything is up to par. I would definitely recommend anyone that is looking for a great place to live and have a leasing staff that actually cares for their tenants to try out this apartment. I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised, no cap. 💯🙃
Just recently moved in and Akeyla is amazing, very professional and friendly! Everyone who works in the office is super friendly actually. As of now I dont really have any issues with the place itself, and the townhomes are really nice and very spacious! My neighbors can be a bit loud sometimes but its not terrible, the gates work well also so it feels very safe here!
This is my 3rd year living in this community, and so far so good. Its very serene and quiet in here.If you ever have a maintenance issue,It will be attended to swiftly by the maintenance guys to fix it for you.The staff in the leasing office is so amazing ~ they treat you with respect and candor and dutifully execute their respective roles. My special appreciation goes to Ms Shaniqa~ shes a true definition of a customer service. She takes your every concern a priority and bring you good results. And that for me is a *****
I was looking for apartments online while I was away doing some training with the Army and stumbled upon Cumberland pointe. I was intrigued with the website but everyone knows pictures lie sometimes. I found a townhouse I liked and submitted an application. My leasing agent, Lindsey White, made it such an awesome experience. She has been looking out for me since day one. She helped me switch to a new unit when I was concerned about steep stairs having a small child, she called frequently to make sure things were good for move in, and was quick about getting things done if there was a problem. The staff is very nice here and i love the community. But honestly, Lindsey white is THE BEST leasing agent here so if you’re considering moving here, ask for her.
This apartment definitely is one of the best place you can find for its money in and around Smyrna. I have been living here for almost two years and i feel the new management has been really good. Under the new management, the maintenance service has been really improved and they are very quick to respond. Also the staff has been very good, especially Shaniqa. She has been really good and she was very quick to follow up with me whenever there is a maintenance request.
Cumberland Pointe is a place to call home. Ive been here for almost 2 years and still counting. Shaniqa Azar (assistant manager) is a lovely lady, she will always give you a professional first class treatment. Like, even after youve moved in. The maintenance department has been on their toes too especially Mr Luis and Mr Bran ( for the most part, Ive had the opportunity to work with these two guys for my maintenence repairs). If you having a second thought moving in please speak to Shaniqa. The ladies in the office are nice too.
The apartments are too basic for the price being charged. Too many rodents and roaches for me. The equipment in the gym is always broken. Too many kids running around vandalizing property. Good luck trying to contact someone from the leasing office after you’ve moved in.
Amazing community with prompt response to work orders. Ive lived here for 15 months and just renewed my lease. Peaceful & safe place to raise kids in. Shaniqa Azar is the best leasing consultant Ive met. Shes soft spoken, respectful, professional and would help you settle in quickly...Thats your go to person....Thank me later.
I have lived at Ashford Woods for almost 5 years and U just renewed my lease. I love everything about living here. The location, cleanliness of the grounds and its quiet! Everyone from the Property Manager (Heidi), Asst. Property Manager (Shanice), Adrienne, Shaniqua & Joseph to the Maintenance crew are all awesome. If I ever had an issue with anything it was always handled with professionalism and compassion. If you make the right decision and move to Ashford Woods you will be welcomed and treated with respect from the time you step on the property.Keep up the good work guys!!!
Love this place! For the past 2 years Im blown away with how consistent Cumberland Pointe manages their property. Clean, friendly staff, and experienced maintenence team! Shaniqa Azar (Assistant Manager) has been great since day one. Very professional and responds to resident inquiries efficiently. Highly recommend!!!
The apartments and townhomes themselves are nice, but management leaves a lot to be desired. Weve lived here a little over a year and in that time there have been at least four mandatory inspections that we did not receive ample notice about. On the most recent occasion, we received an email notifying us of the mandatory inspection AFTER management had already entered our home!Management also tends to take a rather aggressive tone in communications with residents. Threatens to have locks changed, cars towed, etc. However, if you can work around the poor communication, the units themselves are nice enough. The community is fairly quiet and kid/pet friendly. The maintenance and trash services also leave something to be desired. Notably, the can designated to throw away dog poop bags is nearly always overflowing by the time someone finally notices and empties it. Its disgusting, smells bad, and attracts flies, and this is near the front of the complex near the model units! I can only imagine how bad it gets at less visible locations. If you want to have the safety of a gated community, dont live here. The gates are almost always broken.
I recently had a unexpected leak due to my hot water heater going out. Needless to say it happened around 4am in the morning. I thought for sure that this repair was going to take all day! But I took a leap of faith and called the emergency maintenance number and to my surprise Mr. Pete called me right away! Not only did he get to my unit within 30 minutes, he was able to troubleshoot the problem and got right to vacumming up the water all before I left for work around 7am! What a lifesaver! He was soo courteous and kind. To be honest, Ive lived here going on 5 years and have never had ANYTHING repair done that quickly. Shaniqa Azar even followed up with me today with a friendly courtesy call making sure everything went ok. I just appriciate the professionalism and concern they both had in this situation!
I am Loving the new management here. Even with Covid-19 they are trying to support the residents the best and safest way possible. Under previous management the only time I would get my maintenance repairs addressed in a reasonable time is if I called corporate. Now within 24 hours they are following up. They send emails with updates and have free self care items for residence. I was happy to renew my lease with Cumberland Point. Thanks for turning things around.
I and my family has been in this community for last seven years. Cumberland Pointe new management is very profession and responsive.I appreciate Shaniqa quick and fast response and Mr. Pete the maintenance guy he is also very polite and helpful but I didnt completely like last repair work as the bath faucet water dripping took two maintenance request to fix and new tap require quite a good force to close.
I wouldnt even give 1 star to this property. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Mold, leaks, roaches. They never fix anything. The gates are always broken, the appliances are old and by old I mean rust all over the oven. I asked them to change it and the lease executives there, just dont care. They just said that I applied for a classic apartment and by classic they mean old and useless. I had a big leak issue 2 months ago. I called maintenance, because it was an emergency, no one answer. I didnt sleep that night because I needed to move around my furniture. My apartment since then smells like mold. There is mold everywhere. The shower faucets are always dripping. I have put so many maintenance request and 90% were never fixed. Roaches everywhere, even on your bed, shoes, food and all over the place. The worst part is customer service, they dont care. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
I have lived here for many years and at first everything was great. And by great, I mean everything was essentially perfect. If we ever had any maintenance issues, the problems would be solved quickly. However, for the past few months now...our experience has been absolutely horrible. Management has changed many times throughout the years, but the management team now is absolutely horrible. Work orders are never completed and if they are, it takes them months to complete. There is a new system where residents have to put in maintenance requests online and it is a complete joke! Management or the maintenance team will close out any orders online and put in that the work was completed even though they have not. I have put in the same work order many times, but they keep closing it out. The work has not been completed. There is also a horrible pest problem in the community. The pest problem has been going on for months now and its so disgusting! They have even stated that multiple residents have been complaining about pests and nothing is being done. They keep stating that they will change pest control companies, but it has not happened. I have multiple emails regarding issues and work orders (including concerns regarding pests) that were supposed to be completed and they have not. There is also a valet trash (which you are forced to pay a fee) and its horrible. Half the time, the valet trash team does not come to pick up the trash. If they do not come, you have to take the trash to the compactor and still pay the monthly fee. You would think that they would want to keep tenants especially long term tenants, but apparently that is not the case. The only decent thing about this place is the community. Its quiet and is in a great school district. However, I can not wait to move out and will be looking over my lease to find out what steps I need to take in order to move out early.
Moved here in October - the office staff members are pleasant and professional. Ive had only small maintenance requests but they came and conquered. Good neighbors and the property stays clean. The apartments can use a touch of an upgrade - they definitely do not match the lavish upgrades in the leasing office however the property is in a great area.
I recently contacted Shaniqa and placed a service call because my kitchen water faucet will leaking from the neck of the faucet, as well as, below the cabinet.Luis responded immediately and took a look at the faucet. He had to get a new faucet and returned quickly with a new faucet, which he installed. Now, their is no water leaking issue. I am a very satisfied tenant with both Shaniqa and Luis customer service.
Great place, great office. I moved in AshfordWood Apartment Homes January 2017 since then I never thought of moving any where else. All I need in one clean and new playground, huge and perfect gum, nice and clean computer office ,and convenient rental rates last but not least the maintenance service fast and in the same day respond. Finally, I would say this complex is great because of having great employees. One of my favorite employees is the assistant property manger SHANICE CARSON she is sweet and kind also, the property manger HEIDI AUGER she is great in solve any problem you can face.
Last week, I scheduled an in-person tour at this community. Thankful to the staff to accommodate me at 1:30 pm on Saturday. We don’t live close by so we got 5mins late. We reached there only to find that no one was at the leasing center and will be back at 2:30 pm (only after an hour). We were really excited for the tour but had to go back without it. I wrote an email about the same to them. Strangely, I received a reply a week later thanking me for stopping by and taking the tour. This made me to come here and leave a feedback. With my experience, I can only conclude that the staff is not concerned of anything and is very unprofessional. Earlier, I thought there may be some misunderstanding.. later I realized when you have your calendar blocked (they sent me the calendar invite), it’s hard to miss the appointment like this(without informing or rescheduling). And top of it, they don’t even know that we didn’t take a tour (also ignored my email about it. )
Hello. The staff at Ashford Woods are great people for the most part. Joseph is amazing and always willing to help. Haleema is very involved with the property and is always willing to address complaints. Mr. Pete is a part of the maintenance staff and he is also great! Aside from the staff, I will say that the property management as a whole needs some improvement. The front gate rarely works, which is a safety concern for all residents. When issues are reported to the office, there is rarely adequate follow up. I constantly have to go to the office for updates. The concierge garbage service is unreliable and and I constantly question why I have to pay for a sub standard service? Overall the unit itself is nice, could be better in ways but liveable. Once management is able to re organize and set clear goals I believe that Ashford Woods would be a great place to reside. I hope this is helpful.
I am nearing the three-quarters point of my first years rent of a townhouse with Ashford Woods. While the quality of the townhouse is actually quite nice, with a nice location as well as decent build quality and aesthetic, I have been consistently let down by the management and maintenance teams. Most egregiously, the management has shown a disregard for basic communication with their residents. In November 2018, they required a fire inspection for all tenants - which should be a good thing, and easy enough to schedule. However, instead of offering the tenants time frame in which the inspection would occur, they gave us a week in which it would be done, told us it would be done at sometime during that week, and explicitly lay out (in bold, red font) that residents can neither make an appointment nor reschedule. Given that my partner and I both work full time, and that we have a dog at home, we needed to schedule an actual time for this to happen. When we communicated this to Ashford Woods, we were told that even management did not know when the fire inspections would occur, and that they would tell us when they did. They did eventually tell us the day during which the inspections would occur - the morning of. At which time it was far too late for one of us to schedule time to be home from work.Emergency maintenance appears to be nonexistent outside of Ashfords business hours, despite their claims. In late January - the day before Im writing this - we arrived home late due to an unrelated emergency and found that our deadbolt did not work, so we were unable to enter our townhouse. We called emergency maintenance, which requires us to leave a message. No one ever got back to us. We ended up needing to call a locksmith to enter our home and ensure our safety and that of our dog, and when we told management about this they assured us that this was our responsibility and that they would not recoup us any of the cost of the townhouses lock failure. Its not all bad. In some ways I have seen improvement over the months of living here - there was an early problem with public garbage bins not being emptied which has finally begun to happen on a somewhat-regular schedule. While the tone of their public emails is occasionally bizarrely threatening (a case in which there was issue with pet owners not picking up after their pets led to Ashford threatening that if the situation does not get under control, each resident pet owner will be fined $25 on top of their rent), I have also noticed a pleasant uptick in their frequency, and they have recently even begun to send notices of loss of water ahead of time rather than after the water was already off, something which happened multiple times in my first few months.I would love to say I am confident I will renew my lease, but it is difficult when we seemingly regularly have issues of either negligence or incompetence of the leasing company. I want to see them improve, I really do - the location is nice and the employees seem largely amicable. But as they are now I cannot recommend Ashford Woods unless you have a LOT of patience and dont mind people entering your home without request or permission.
I moved here about six weeks ago to be closer to my disabled Mom. Almost immediately and everyday until a few days ago, I really felt like I made a huge mistake. During my walk-through there were a few things to be repaired and the unit was still being cleaned. I was assured theyd be completed but they were not! I called and called and emailed no reply. So when I received a survey, I included my complaints, received a call from the property manager and she also dropped the ball and blamed someone else. Finally Michael came by a few days ago and completed all of the request with the exception of one and that was done the next day. Qua the Resident Relations Mgr is great. He quickly followed-up, with a remaining concern and hes such a welcomed change from everyone Ive dealt with so far. I appreciate your hard work Michael and Qua!! Thank you!
Worst Ever management that one could think of. We moved in this apartment in the month of Dec 2018, ever since we moved we had issues with this management they gave us an apartment with broken dishwasher which they replaced only after 15 days of move in, and Fridge with no lids in the inside for vegetable box, butter/cheese area no ice box in the freezer which they have not replaced yet. We live in the first floor with 2 boys(1.5 yrs and 6.5 yrs) wherein our down stairs neighbors had been very rude and disrespectful to us due to my 2yrs old son running and walking in the house. Even after multiple times complaining to the management no action was taken, neighbors were very rude and abusive where we had to call the courtesy officer and police officer at least 10 times in last 6 months. Management asked us to move out of the apartment within the same community with higher rent which we did not agree. Finally we couldnt bear any more of this issue so we decided to move out of this community when reached to the management they asked us to give 60 days notice and also pay the termination fee after being the victim here. Even after giving the notice the abuse continued where they continued using bad language and body language and police got involved twice in this issues for which still the management did not continue to involve. In this unbearable living conditions we asked to move out earlier even that they did not consider. Their response was we need to pay 60 days of rent and 1 month rent(termination fee) irrespective of whether we live here or not. They are least bothered about their residents all that matters to them his only money money !!!!As a working parents who have enough things to handle in their plate between work and kids , i would personally not recommend this community to anyone who wants to decent and peaceful environment. Radco living is the worst community ever no respect or concern for their residents. All that matters to them is money. Discriminating the residents very badly.Their staff are the worst assistant manager she has no powers in taking any action and manager would not respond to our concerns.I did write this review only after telling my concerns in-person and in email. I got a response to my review in the google reviews please reach out to us in email or call us how many times do you want us to do that. Even yesterday you have asked my husband to pay the rent even after telling you that they have been continuously rude and disrespectful , you are still asking us to abide to notice period leaving our self esteem and peace of mind. Last thing we did ask you was to consider our move out request 10 days prior to 60 days notice period which you clearly denied not considering on humanitarian basis
Im from NY, but moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles 8 months ago. Im very particular about where I live and the quality/condition of the space. Time was limited. After viewing 9 other apartments between East Point & Smyrna within five days that I flew in from LA; I decided on Ashford Woods being the 10th and happy I chose this one for the central location, space of the apartment, nice amenities, pool, quiet and peaceful community. Thank you Joseph & Adrienne for assisting me through this process even while living in California.First several months I did have concerns about huge roaches, rodents that I did not sign up for along with other items that needed to be fixed in a timely manner. Maintenance would take their time rectifying said concerns sometimes. The Staff/Mngmt. would do their part communicating which I truly appreciate. Happy to say those concerns have been addressed and I have seen big improvements which I applaud. Must add, for health and hygiene reasons; a supply of tissue and soap should ALWAYS be kept in the gym/pool area. (Please relay message to maintenance). The entire Staff has been very helpful throughout my transition and Im more than grateful because it was a big move I made across country that was well planned and strategic. SPECIAL THANK YOU to Shanice, Shaniqa, Joseph, Adrienne & Heidi (whom I recently met) for your professionalism, pleasant smiles, great attitude, community events and for making me feel at home. Your warm friendly Spirits play a significant role in the overall experience here at Ashford Woods. I highly recommend living here.
Ive lived in a few different complexes here in Atlanta. This is one of the nicest, clean and crime free ones ive had the pleasure of being at. Any maintenance concerns that Ive had, they quickly resolved! Including the most recent and Shaniqa, provide excellent customer service, by following up with me consistently until all repairs were done
I am writing to share my very frustrating experience with Ashford Woods and RADCO, their parent company. I toured the property in July with Oscar. He was very professional. I explained my situation and he told me to apply. He gave me specific steps to follow. A few days later I went to the property and Spoke to Adrian another leasing consultant. I gave her the exact info that I gave Oscar regarding my qualifications. She said go ahead and apply. She assured me she has seen this scenario before. I applied and got a verbal approval. Then about two days later, I got a call from Adrian saying the manager declined my application. Why? The reason she gave made no sense, and when I asked to speak to the property manager, thats when the lack of professionalism began. I was told the property manager was on vacation. Okay, can I schedule an appointment to see her? Well no response. I could tell something was going on. I called their office 3-4 times a left voice mails. Still no response. I got the overall impression that the office manager was not AVAILABLE to speak to applicants. I was very frustrated.. I called RADCO to reach out but no one their bother to call back. This left me feeling like customer service is not important. The good news is I took the EXACT same financial information o another property and was approved within days. NO nonsense. I spoke to the property manager and leasing consultants at the new place. The point here is if you have a special financial situation talk to the property manager first. If the leasing agents are gatekeeping for the property manager, then SAVE your money. I lost my fees and got nothing for it.
Irresponsible people!! especially Leasing office. i am a current resident here and informed in March that I am going leave the apartment after my lease is over. when I went to inform again, they said you didnt fill the form so you have to stay for 18 more days. Then why didnt you say that in March. No one attend maintenance calls always. u have to fix your problem with your own money, if you are staying in Ashford woods. Trash the next issue. Mandatory fee for trash handling service, but you have to put your trash compactor. Compactor will fail and not repaired for months. i am truly dissatisfied.
Just moved here and the home is amazing but what really got me were the phenomenal office staff! My leasing agent, Akeyla, has been extremely helpful and diligent thru the entire process which only took a few days! The entire office staff is extremely responsive as well!! Definitely a welcoming neighborhood!
This community has been amazing since new management started. i am happy to see a familiar face in the office Shaniqa who has always done an awesome job helping me. Her customer service is unmatched and very appreciated. I am excited to see what else this new company has in store for us. Keep up the good job!
I have lived here for two years, and planned on renewing my lease. But recently I came home to my apartment flooding for the third time due to the people above. The maintenance man stated he did not think to check my apartment. That really confused me since the flood came from over me. I don’t understand where he thought the water went. I have been dealing with my flood problem for over a week and the office seems not to care. I do have renters insurance, but the flood had nothing to do with natural disasters or my fault. I have shoes and clothes that are damage and pictures of lost one I can’t get back. I wish the office would of shown more compassion, but I guess since its not there stuff they don’t care. On top of that the guy above me is creepy and finds way to make conversation. I have already informed the cob county police and the leasing office. I was advise until he touches me there is nothing they can do.Like I stated earlier I have lived her for two years and planned on renewing but the communication here is horrible. This is the third time my apartment has flooded and the worst. Since I was out of town no one thought to check my apartment. If you live here GOOD LUCK.
I have been living here now for almost two years. I have a town home here and quite frankly I love it. I decided to give 5 stars because I know bad property management when I see it, and that is not the case with the crew here. I really have to give my kudos to Robin, when I was looking to get moved in, away from a previous HORRIBLE complex, she did everything she could to get me moved in when I needed to. No matter what I need or have concerns about, the office staff is always friendly. The courtesy officer as well is phenomenal. There have been times when my neighbors children sounds like theyre having race wars, and when it gets to be unbearable, he makes it a point to let them know the issue theyre causing. I do not know everyones names in the office or maintenance crew, but please keep up the amazing work you do.I would say the only issue I have at the moment is the gates. The long stick continues to be missing therefore allowing people that do not live there to tailgate. Now with all the robberies that have been happening, I would hate for that to happen to ANYONE that resides there as well. All in all, I always recommend this place to anyone looking. Although Ill be purchasing a home soon, this place has been great!
The second day I was there the apartment flooded. Like an idiot I stayed fully expecting the property/maintenance mangers to fix the issue. I stayed for another 6 months and it flooded 3 or 4 more times. I called it quits after the last time when my entire first floor was covered in a film of water one day.I could go on and on about the other issues I faced living here outside of just the flooding, but the staff turnover here is insane, it doesnt seem like the property manager ever has the control needed to get things done, and overall it was the most frustrating place Ive ever lived. Good luck to any poor soul who moves into these apartments.Edit: I cant respond to whoever responded to my original review, so Im going to update it. The flooding incident described was not Rare. I spoke with my neighbor before moving out, he said the units near the back were known to flood. On the very first day the flooding started happening I was told by the guy that came in to vac all the water that he was late because two or three other units were experiencing the same issue. Please do not pay attention to the spin they are attempting to put on this. Their apartments flooded regularly (when I lived there). Hopefully theyve actually taken some initiative and fixed the problem.
EDIT 5/3/19: I am downgrading my review below due to being proven wrong about their customer centricity. I have sent emails to the Relations Specialist 5 times and have only gotten 1 response saying she would call me the next day - which she didnt. In addition, I had water leaking from my water heater in the middle of the night and called the emergency line twice with no response. Sent a web request as well. I had to call the office in order to get anyone to respond. Thank goodness I was able to catch at least some of the water in a bucket that I had to continuously empty out into my tub until it finally slowed down. Otherwise my apartment would have been flooded. Maybe since Ive been with this complex for as long as I have, my business is no longer appreciated. Message received, Ashford Woods & RADCO Companies - message received!I have lived in this apartment complex for longer than Id like to admit! LOL! I have seen many different management companies come and go. However the current administration appears to be more customer service oriented than those in the past. Work orders are processed in a timely fashion, the grounds are always kept up, theyve upgraded the kids play area and added a dog run. The only reason I give 4 rather than 5 stars is due to the trash compactor being out of commission for a long time. However it appears that has been recently fixed and is hopefully a thing of the past.
I just moved here and I have to give Akeela a 5 star rating. While she was busy going in five different directions she managed to get my application completed and aporoved in one day. She reached out to me about this community and I never responded to her because I was busy looking for an apartment else where, waiting on people to respond to my calls. I finally listened to Akeelas voicemail and I called her, she picked up and answered as if she had known me for a long time. Great customer service. She had a smile in her voice over the phone. She has been truly amazing. Looking forward to living here. Keep up the good work Akeela.
This is the absolute worst place to live. It is flood central in these apartments. There is mold all over my unit. Dont be fooled by the model home they show you. Ask to see the unit you selected to insure that, that is in fact the type of unit you will be living in. The front staff is unprofessional. Your work orders will take weeks to be resolved. Haleema the property manager will pass you off to David for maintenance issues and he doesnt have a clue whats going on. Maintenance will half ass fix your problems and leave a mess behind in your home. Paint jobs are lacking and inconsistent. My neighbors share the same issues so its clearly an ongoing issue with the plumbing and flooding at this location. They need to knock all these units down and start from scratch.
I recently went for a tour and I was greeted and helped by the property manager Heidi Auger (I want her to get the whole credit for this review).I am new to the area and searching for apartments was so difficult but she made it so easy and smooth. She was so professional, kind and patient with all of my questions, she also showed me around and I absolutely loved the community, amenties and the location. I have not applied because they dont have the availability I am looking for yet, but this apartment complex is my number 1 option.Thank you again Heidi! :)
I have visited the property a week ago and I must say i was very impressed. Absolutely stunning renovations, prime location, well maintained landscaping, affordable and a professional management team. I toured the property with the property manager and she was very knowledgeable, kind, personable and most importantly professional. The apartment homes are spacious and beautiful. Ashford Woods is definitely at the top of my list and I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.P.S. The property is under new management and I used to live at a property that was managed under RACDO and they were awesome!!! The company believes in better living for their residents.
I was willing to walk away with my security deposit as agreed upon, and no termination fees, but due to the miscellaneous charges. I have something to say due to the mold in the apartment and air quality my belongings where trashed and left. Proper disposal per the Mold Testers was not done. Corporate also had been informed and it became a strained relationship. I have never lived in conditions like this but they expected me to be okay with three children ages range from 6 on down to infant. For it to come back positive for black mold and nothing was truly done to help us the family. Corporate and the property manager only care about the numbers clearly they get the money cause it’s multiple units on property. The only thing good about the area is the elementary school and the families that living on property that kids go to the elementary school. We also appreciate all that Jospeh did even when the property manager tried to throw him under the bus in an unprofessional way. I have pictures and video and voice recordings and email if they want to say this a lie contact the BBB fair housing mold testers a lawyer if you feel that you have been treated unfairly or that your place is in bad shape and please submit request for maintenance and make sure they don’t just close it out like it was completed. I have much more to say but I’m giving this too much energy.
I recently visited the property in the afternoon and was greeted by a lovely young lady named Shanice. She was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I explained to her I was looking to move asap and she had no problem explaining the process to me to ensure that when I was ready to apply I would have all I needed to speed up the process. I am grateful to have run into such a gorgeous smile and helpful agent during this stress apartment hunting time!
We moved in around late October. We live in a 2 bedroom townhome which has given us plenty of space for the two of us. Upon moving in we did have some maintenance issues that needed to be addressed within the first couple of days. Because we had just moved it, I think they were very attentive at getting those requests completed and make a good impression. However, putting in a request now and getting them to tend to it on their own is a hassle. You will have to follow up with someone in the office to get someone to help. I understand they are going through some changes within their maintenance staff, but 3 months is more than enough time to to wait for a request.Overall, it has been a good place to live. The commute is ideal with being so close to the highway. The materials used in the apartment are not of great quality or durability. It may be how some materials were installed that may be the problem. That could be something they could improve on. In my last apartment, because it was in a heavily wooded area, I had some bug issues. I havent had any since moving in here. I love that they have dog potty stations. They just need to make sure the potty bags are refilled. When I dont have mine on me, it comes in handy. I think that could be part of the reason why there is a lot of dog poop around the complex. That and some people just dont care to pick up their dogs waste. They dont enforce it much. I wish they did, because it is everywhere!I see that they are trying to upgrade and make the complex better than what its reputation use to be. I understand that back in the day, this complex was NOT a great one. In response to that, they are doing their best to make it a great one.Ultimately, we are happy with our home. Its comfortable when we come to it. The neighbors are super nice and friendly. Its nice to see kids playing with each other after school. Super quiet complex. I still consider it a safe neighborhood. I wish they would make sure the front gate is fixed and closed when it needs to be.Every complex has its pros and cons. This complex has some cons, but I think their cons can be worked out if they pay attention to wanting to get rid of them.
They lie to get you in and then Jack up the rent and dont fix nothing! My ceiling has a hole in it around the ceiling fan, and it has been like that for almost a year and they keep telling me they have to order a part. I cant wait to move out!!!REVIEW UPDATE:I have lived here for 4 years and we have changed management almost every year! But now we have new management and they know how to get things done! Haleema, Joseph, Adrianne, and Shaniqua is a wonderful team! They care about your living situation and want the best for you! Thank goodness Radco has finally gotten the team right! Thank you guys for being great!
I love this place very much and I wish I could give 10 stars. Everything in my small town home is new and clean. The environment is quiet and neat. Shaniqa was there from start to end. People like her can take your business to another level of excellence. God bless you SHANIQA. Im going to live here till I buy my own house. **********
They are scammers. I visited this place on 11/17 and liked the home so I paid $75 the same day and completed an application. Today 12/5 I have not received any updates regarding my application. Ive called several times and left messages for Joseph. Still no response. The communication and professionalism towards this matter sucks. Do not apply they will take your money and leave you hanging. I want my money BACK!*** UPDATE***I received a call back from the property manager who explained what happened and why there was no response regarding my application. I would like to say I appreciate the the call back and the explanation. So, Ashford Woods did not take my money and it is a relief to know that I was not scammed. Thanks for your help!
Its almost impossible to get the front office on the phone. I have called 4 days in a row during business hours 5 times a day and the only way I can get in contact is if I walk into the office. . There are some nice people that work there, however it is not enough to make me want to renew the next time around. If I were someone spend the extra $100/mo and look in Vinings Ga , you will be happy to pay the extra for the extra care most of those apartments offer.
Ive lived here for 4 years now since moving in in 2014 Ive had so many issues that have been resolved now. It took a year to get this issues addressed. I had to send an email along with pictures to the Ceo before I could get these things addressed in my apartment. It took over a year to get my bathroom back to the way it was when I moved in back in 2014. Theres been a large turnover of employees with only one left from the original employees. The maintenance staff takes forever to complete work orders. I was recently given a renewal price for a partly renovated 1 bedroom apartment with no new fixtures, or facuts, or carpet. My rent is going up 100.00 dollars thats huge increase. The increase was only 60.00 last year and 50 for utilities now 80 dollars for water, trash, and a valet service that I dont use.I went in to the office to find out why my rent was going up 100.00 and I was told that it came down from corporate that everyone had to be brought up to market rent and the reason I was told was to get you to pay or force you to move out and that they had a new contract with India who is sending their employees to live here that they pay for them to live here. What a way to treat your tenants that have been living here for years. You would think since it took them a year to get my apartment back to the way it was when I moved in and for the inconvenience that they would offer something a little different than a 100.00 increase. Even though my apartment was liveable everytime they had contractors in to work in my apartment they would make the problem worse or damage my property. Ive had things taken out of my apartment and things broken by their contractors. My electric bills are a little on the high side (121.00) a month for someone who is never home when I am home I have to keep all doors shut because my apartment is very drafty. I have hung drapes and it is still cold. They have a new office manager Haleema who is the best office manager that they ever had she seems to be trying to get things improved around here however, I feel if Radco can fix the property to make it look better they should fix these apartments and bring them up to market rate prices the apartments are over 30 years old and need to be insulated and maybe you would mind the high light bills and the ridiculous increases every year. 1,024 is very high for these old apartments 1 bedroom apartment.
My wife and I stayed at Ashford Woods while I was in the midst of a career change. On the whole, it’s a good place to live. It’s a safe community, which we definitely appreciated, and the people who live there are decent and respectful, and I even made a few friends among the residents. Considering how prices are fluctuating with the new stadium, the place is a good value, too. You get a lot for your money: A place to live, a pool, community facility, a dog park, all sorts of stuff. As far as the management goes, they’ve undergone a few changes, but on the whole, they’re on the up and up. We had a little bit of confusion with our move-out, but everything got handled just fine and there were no issues, so yeah, 5 out of 5 stars as far as we’re concerned.
I have a beautiful one bedroom. The apartments are very clean and very well maintained. The staff is awesome. But Robin is the best leasing agent ever. She is caring and work to fix whatever concern you have. If looking for an apartment here is the place. But if looking for a leasing agent, ROBIN IS YOUR GIRL. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER!!!!!
I have to be honest….this place has a serious roach problem. I’ve been living here for about 2 weeks and upon move in my apartment had tons of maintenance issues. Now I’m seeing roaches every day (even baby ones) and I’m looking to break my lease. I don’t recommend this complex.
Beware of this property and any property managed by Radco and their unlawful practices. I applied for an apartment at this community with a specific move-in date and a specific rental rate. Once they took my appliction fee from my bank they contacted me to say the apartment would NOT be ready by the date they specified. I was flexible with the move-in date but because they had to change the date they stated they were then going to increase the rent. I refused to pay an increased rent since THEY were the ones changing the date and not myself. I contacted their corporate office and they are standing behind this properties unlawful practices. By law they have to either honor the original rental rate or refund my application fee. They refused to do either so they are now dealing with my lawyer.
Been here since 2013 when getting ready to start my clinicals in medical school..management was horrible in the beginning omg. They’ve switched management 100 times. But the new management is pretty good and Joseph has been an excellent help with everything ! It’s quiet - no bug or flooding problems. Thank you guys for everything🙏🏽. No management team is perfect with these apartment homes. But they’re the best since I’ve been here !
So far so good. Been here a week from a different state. Had a couple of issues with my apartment and maintenance made it out in a timely fashion. The management threw a pool party for the families and it was SO MUCH FUN! Floaties, food, drinks, music! A terrific family time!
My roommate and I made an appointment before hand to view a 2bed townhouse and apartment. We were told that there was a deal going on for the application and administration fee. Cool ! So we get in the cart and we werent able to view neither. We was told by one of the office staff members that we would still be able to get that deal. We come back the day they said to and that staff member wasnt there so one of the other staff members showed us the Townhouse, the apartment key still wasnt available. So we called and arranged for the 3rd time to look at the apartment as well. So the 3rd time we were able to look at both. After being told 3 times we would still get the deal, when we decided we wanted to apply they said we werent able to get the deal because we didnt apply the 1st time we came. Why would we apply (give you our money) for a place we wasnt able to see ? Its not our fault it wasnt available the 1st 2 times we came in. On top of that Ive been trying to get information for the past 2 weeks. Ive spoken to someone twice and still received nothing. I was still wanting the townhouse, even after the run around and the fee issue. Never mind now.
I absolutely love living at Ashford Woods. The property is always clean, the staff are very pleasant and above all the maintenance staff is extremely helpful. I appreciate the effective and proficient work from the maintenance staff. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to rent in the Symyrna, GA area. The community is like a family, which is a peaceful and safe environment to reside with your family.
Ive been a resident for about a year and even renewed my lease. Id recommend this complex to anyone. Its 15 mins away from downtown, 10 mins or so from the mall and located on a street with tons of conveniences. Its a gated complex thats pretty quiet and well maintained. I think I really just enjoy the fact that its pretty scenic, relaxing and affordable for the Smyrna area. The staff is extremely helpful, especially Robin. Shes been my go to person since I moved in and always helps with any maintenance request. Shes really helpful, resourceful and beyond reliable. The staff occasionally rotates, so I always go in to specifically ask for her.Honestly, nothing but good things to say about this place. Any negative reviews are probably a reflection of the individual tenants.
Coming up on a year living here in Ashford Woods and every week my husband and I talk about how much we regret living here! And no one should ever feel like that about where they live.... At this point we laugh about it because this place is literally a joke. We have had SO MANY issues with this property and it only seems to get worse and worse by the situation. The trash compactor is constantly down, it’s a miracle when we don’t see trash piled up mile high....it creates such a bad look and an even awful smell.... at night you even see RATS running around (disgusting).... the Gates just got fixed about a week ago.. but before that they were broken for about 2 months!!! What’s the point of living in a “safe and gated community” if the gates are wide open welcoming everyone in?The amount of bugs that get into the home are just ridiculous....and the overall wiring of the homes are awful! You need the strength of life to plug something into an outlet (new outlet plates were just screwed onto the old outlets which don’t fit properly). The floors CREEK and make every noise possible and boy are they LOUD AS CAN BE! Luckily we live in a townhome unit so I feel bad for those that have upstairs neighbors. Also, be aware of when you put in maintenance tickets....because they have they have the habit of closing your tickets out and marking them “complete” yet not doing the job!Our BIGGEST AND MOST CURRENT PROBLEM is the AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!! During the winter when it was about 30 degrees out, our heater was not working... (I was also pregnant with our twins at the time) now that it’s hotter outside within the LAST 60 DAYS , our AC unit has broken 3 TIMES!!!!!! Our NEW BORN BABIES who are now 4 weeks have to suffer in this awful hot box of a home we currently live in.The first time it broke I had just brought the baby home from the hospital, not even a week old and they maintenance man told me we had to wait to get it fixed and that it’s not “an emergancy” because it wasn’t over 80 degrees outside. Even though our thermostat read 82 degrees...... then it happened again and now it’s taken them 4 DAYS and NOBODY HAS BEEN HERE TO FIX IT!!!!!! This property management has no sense of urgency or consideration for their tenants. The contractors where “called” and were supposed to come out yesterday (Monday) after tickets have been put in since the Friday before...it’s now Tuesday and it’s 83 in the home. We are all hot sweaty and uncomfortable. It took them until last night to bring a portable AC unit... which blew the fuse and killed our power in half the home 10 min after it got installed. We had no power or portable AC unit running for the rest of the night until this morning.... it’s now 5 PM and the AC still hasn’t been fixed......It’s unhealthy for new born babies to be living in such conditions... and it’s outrageous that this property management does such a poor job of upholding its requirements.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! It’s not worth the time and money.
I lived here for a year. it was a good and bad relationship. as soon as i was heading out, the management company changed. i moved into a classic apt, meaning my apt did not come upgraded. i didnt care because i needed to find a place fast before my current lease was up. i had a 900sq ft 1 bedroom for $600. couldnt beat that. however, these apts are VERY old. my counter tops in the kitchen peeled like crazy! there was also soft spots throughout the kitchen and bathroom. i was told not to wear heels around the house (wow). my window in the bathroom was extremely gross. they really need to go through each apt and put in new ones. i just bought a blind to cover it up. i didnt have bugs (thank God), but on the patio, i did see spiders from time to time. i had an upstairs neighbor that poured her dogs pee on my patio. i confronted the couple and told the office, but the office did nothing. the second time i confronted the couple, it eventually stopped then they moved. the new neighbor came, and because the walls are thin, i heard him having sex EVERY night. any time my company was over, i was embarrassed. overall, they need to knock down the entire neighborhood and rebuild. they are just so old.
Continuous issues EVER since we decided to move here. I keep trying to give management an opportunity to settle in considering they have just now seemed to set their staff after the year and a half we have been here. But the sewage back flood issue is absolutely disgusting. I understand that things happen but the lack of response, lack of urgency after speaking directly to the manager TWICE and lack of priority is appalling! There is no service to the residents. No one should have to clean sewage off of their floors. When you tell a resident someone will be sent to sanitize and check addition leak issues mentioned SOMEONE should come to the apartment, especially after two days. Sewage is TOXIC! Apsolutely unacceptable. We regret renewing our lease here.
In my search for a new home, I walked into Cumberland Pointe and was immediately helped by Lindsey. Hands down, the most kindest respectful knowledgeable and professional customer service I’ve received here in Georgia. She is an asset to the company and an example of what public relations and customer service is and should always be.
Good place but badly maintained. I was given a apartment which had everything broken and cockroaches. To add more problem , management was changed. I had to literally call the leasing office everyday to fix things. This was going on for couple of month. Finally property manager agreed for different apartment which is 100 times better than the old one. But these 2 month troubles and the time n effort i have to put again to move things, i will definetly rate only 1. The new apartment is good and i can rate it a 4.
I have lived here for 4 years and I have had problems with my heat since I moved in. I reported it to the assistant manager shanice and Will was sent over right away. he explained everything to me that it could be and walked me through the process. He checked everything and stayed until he fixed it. and told me if it happens again to feel free to call. very attentive
Its a cool place to live for a year, after that a water bill gets included to your rent, alot of pet owners are very lazy, they dont pick up after their dogs and also they will let their dogs pop on the property you reside on without picking it up, in the grass and sidewalks, I think they need to fix alot of the internal problems of the units, if you do move in this complex make sure you inspect the building youre moving into and dont move into building 7046 two water leaks from the ceiling in the kitchen caused from the people upstairs, I believe under the sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms need to be replaced, depending on which maintenance workers get your request some know what they are doing some dont and it could take some time for repairs
Once again, the Ashford Woods staff continues to be responsive, accommodating, and personable. Even with a new reign with Mrs. Haleema Morrow (Property Manager)and David (Maintenance Supervisor), the property keep running like a well oiled machine. Any minor issues that I may come across, I know that Mrs. Morrow and/or David are just an email away from promptly handling it. And are more than welcoming if I come into the office to just catch up with them (Its really for the awesome free candy selection they have....Shouts out to Joseph). All in all, Im happy to be a resident at Ashford Woods.
Horrible and DisappointingThat’s my short answer. If you want me to elaborate then pull up a chair and grab you some sweet tea because I’m about to spill it. I would like to say that any positive reviews about this place are either from people that recently moved in and received the “New Tenant “ treatment or possibly receiving some type of compensation.I’m usually a positive person but I decided to write my first review regarding this place to save people from a horrible living experience. Let’s start.DishonestyYou will be lied to. There’s no getting around that. Have you been told that something will be fix in a certain time? Well I hate to tell you this but you might as well fix it yourself or live with it. My fiance and I recently transferred to a 3 bedroom with our growing family and was promised a decent apartment with minor things to be fix upon move in. Guess what? Nothing was ever fixed and the so call apartment that was decent and ready actually looks like a rushed job with no consideration of future tenants with kids.BugsYou like having unexpected company at night while you Netflix and chilling? Come on over because they have the finest bugs here. They have roaches, mold beetles, the little brown ones that can pause the movie for you while you run to the restroom. If I were you, I would cooked more food than you need because these bugs be inviting their families and friends. I kid you not, I came home awhile back from a unit I lived previously and it seemed like I crashed a bday party for little Timmy beetle. Last time I checked, Timmy beetle was renting his own place near the broken trash compactor.Broken Trash CompactorWhenever you checked the mail you’ll see it. Trash everywhere. Now, they do have a trash valet system but I’ll be honest, it’s not worth paying for it. You sit your trash out and they’ll come pick it up. Simple right? Well that depends on how much trash you produce. Some days you’ll find yourself with multiple trash bags near your door. If you cooked fish the previous night you might as well take it to the trash pile yourself. There is a schedule to set out the trash but sometimes they are a no show.MoldNow if you’re like me, you want the mold in your apartment to be just right. I’m talking the smell of wet old socks from people that just finished playing Wii sports. I have never experience mold in other apartment complexes but it took a friend of mines to congratulate me on this honor. “You see those dark fuzzy looking spots in your vents?” We celebrated by closing all the windows and doors to really breathe in that good mold. Fun fact, if you have any kids like me, they’ll have itchy eyes and skin rashes. Just try to ventilate the apartment frequently.I could go on from the gate is always open which invite Jehovah witnesses to the water smelling funny or maintenance guys purposely overlooking your problems or non-working smoke detectors and no fire extinguisher but my goal here is to paint a picture on what you’ll actually be investing in. The only good thing is location. To put it frankly, ever since my pregnant fiance and our little family started to receive bites at night and poor air quality, we would rather commute farther than to deal with this. If the location is what you are looking for I suggest apartment complexes down the street. I’ve been looking into them and definitely will be breaking the lease if we cannot secure owning a home.
This is the worst most living experience Ive ever had in my life, the people in the front office dont even care and will avoid your calls if they feel like it, maintenance is a joke, takes them 2 weeks to get around to any work orders. And you must call and remind them everyday or else they will forget or claim they didnt see your order, speaking of maintance, they are responsible for opening the gym everyday, and if your trying to get in shape dont move here thinking you can use the gym, these people will open the gym at 6:30 one day, then wont open the gym til 9:00 the next day, so unprofessional. They wont even post gym hours so you can know what time it officially opens. I also noticed that after I told them I wasnt going to renew my lease, these spiteful people in the front office told the landscaping company to stop cutting my grass, now I look over at my neighbors yards and they are both cut, but my grass is so high you can barely see your knees. That is the epitome of pettiness, and childish behavior, this neighborhood is ran by a bunch of lunatics, valet trash is a joke, hes supposed to come everyday but he misses days & they want to fine you for leaving the trash outside. The office staff is great time you actually need them for something, then they get ghost, but I will say Joseph is the longest staying member and the only person worth dealing with down there, the other people are terrible
These five star reviews are staff generated. The apartments dont look like this, I wish they actually did put efforts into the apartments like they do in the pictures. It takes them two weeks just to get to your maintenance request (thats only if you call and complain)New property managers buy/take over every year.Im only here for the school district and location convenience.Sign at your own risk
I worked with Adrienne Lee and she made the WHOLE process a breeze. She’s followed up and explained everything in great detail, as it’s my first time moving on my own. I really appreciate her taking the time to situate me and service my needs efficiently. I went to a previous apartment and was in disbelief at the unprofessionalism, and here was the complete opposite!!! Thank you so much!
I have been living here for a year and 9 months. I moved for the school district. My biggest issue is the sewage problem that my unit and neighboring units have. Feces from other people comes up thorough our downstairs toilet and spills out and ends up covering the entire hall and dining room because of the slant of the floor about 1 inch high. This has happened 2 times this year and its aweful to smell and very disgusting to have to clean someone elses feces off of my floor. The toilet is backed up again as Im writing this and hopefully will not flood this time. I have thrown away many towels and blankets and floor mats that got soaked and had to be used quickly to try to contain the water and also had to spend money on using lots of papertowels and disinfectant to clean after the water and feces was up. Also, since I moved here, every time it rains I get a puddle at my front door and dining room. No one cared to fix that issue for the entire time Ive been here but after reading other reviews I see its not just my unit. If its raining hard when Im coming home, its like a bucket of water being poured over my head while opening my door because the gutter directly above is damaged. Because of the water issue, there is rot and smells like rot downstairs, especially during the hot months. It smells like garbage. Im sure there is mold under the flooring. I moved into an updated unit so other than what was mentioned above, and the big roaches you see sometimes and the security gate always being broken, and the garbage area being overfilled with trash that looks junky and projectish sometimes, it has the potential to be a nice place if these issues were fixed. And of course my bathtub was painted too and peeled immediately and very cheap vinel surrounding the tub that isnt easy to clean. Positives are that its quiet, convenient, the grounds are kept nice with the exception of the trash area and I feel safe. I think valet trash was supposed to fix the trash area issue but if people are still allowed to throw away their own trash then I dont see the point of it. I dont mind taking my own trash to the dumpster and dont feel I should be forced to pay $15 a month for valet trash. It should be an option and furthermore, I was told that service will increase when leases are signed again.
This is the worst place I’ve ever lived !!! The front office people make you a bunch of promises just to get you out of their face but they never follow through (especially Joseph). The Maintenance people don’t know what they’re doing or how to fix anything. I asked them to give me a new key for my mailbox because the one they gave me the day i moved in didn’t work, next thing i know i come home from work and my front door lock was changed and me and my kids were locked out of my house in the cold in the end of December for 5 hours before someone came and unlocked my door. They changed my front door lock instead of providing me with a new mailbox key! Who does that?!!! Whenever i run my shower, it rains in my kitchen cabinets and they still haven’t fixed that. My power randomly shuts off because the circuit breaker in the back of my house is loose and they still haven’t fixed that. Every sink in this house floods because the pipes are old and they still haven’t fixed that. I wish there was a way to post a picture of the dumpster. Overflowing is an understatement. I can’t even imagine the rats and roaches that are about to swarm around there. I could go on. I’ve only been here for 4 months and im so ready to leave!!! Please run away from here as fast as you can!!!!
I have lived here for a few years and have seen a few management changes, however the current management team Haleema, Sheniece & Joseph in particular are absolutely great!! The community is quiet, clean & safe. I have not had any maintenance issue that was not handled promptly. I would definitely recommend this community.
THIS IS A NEW REVIEW. TODAY IS JANUARY 7TH!!!!This company never answers their phone so we are forced to leave a message. We left a message that there is a water leak somewhere behind our wall in the kitchen LAST WEEK and no one called us back. The leak occurred at least 3 times when we hear our neighbor washing upsairs. Fast forward to today and we come home and there is a lot of water in our kitchen again and now we can hear the water dripping from someplace. Now had the management come to see what the small issue was last week, there would be no big issue this week. We ended up stopping at the office just this morning. Do they send someone out immediately because it is a major problem that we have been dealing with for more than a week? NOPE! Now it is a big problem. When we are able we are blowing this joint. DONT CONSIDER MOVING HERE.
I moved into this apartment complex in Septemeber 2016. Day one after arriving I didnt want to unpack my stuff, after seeing rotten doorframes from what appeared to be flooding, on top of roaches, water damage under the bathroom sinks, and very obvious patchwork on the ceilings. Against my first impression my boyfriend convinced me to give it a chance. The next day it flooded, and a tree fell on my car... then it flooded 2-3 more additional times when I finally said I was done. Also, the gates leading into the apartments are never shut and the exit gate breaks frequently leaving people frustrated and stuck in a line to get out. I got out of my lease due to it being an inhabitable place. And moving was the best thing Ive done. This place has a constant staff turnover, nobody answers the phones, ever. They cant keep up with the maintence that needs addressed and when they do fix something its half assed. I wouldnt recommend ANYBODY moving here.
This is one of the WORST places to go!! After being APPROVED and receiving 2 Welcome Letters from them, I was contacted again....only to be notified that THE Real MANAGER was on vacation and has returned and DENIED my application. How does that happen? How does an apartment take someones money, approve them, send out welcome letters and then call back and say something totally different because another manager is back from vacation!? This is the worst and most unprofessional staff I have ever come across! Do not work with with Shaniqua!!! The property manager Hameela is no better. When explained how the process was poorly handled and mislead by the leasing agent Shaniqua, the manager Hameela only responded with, well Im sorry I was on vacation but you still have time to look for another place. They have no sense of urgency, no respect, poor communication, and a lack of care. This place will not answer phones either so u have to constantly go up there just to be heard. Do NOT MOVE HERE. I will be contacting management over this property. They will approve you just to take your money and call back days later to say all ofthe sudden your denied!!!
Ruuuunnnn...since we moved here in February, the rent increase was over 200.00 after one year. There are no additional admenities being added. I was told it was due to the Braves stadium...The maintenance did not have the town home ready on time, the office staff allowed a vendor to enter our home without notice, setting off the alarm (the police were called and I had to leave work), we have spiders constantly from the bushes in front of the town home and earwigs all summer, and our new neighbors smoke weed EVERYDAY...what you do in your home is your business but when I can smell it and it makes my children sick and the office management doesnt care.... we have major issues. My next step is calling the cops and talking to an attorney... I refuse to be uncomfortable in my own home. We have had 2 tenants that have smoked and the smell comes through the pipes or from under the sink. I was told it must be residue from the vents. What?! Remarkably all the good reviews on this place mention the leasing company or a specific staff member...glad you guys have friends writing your reviews. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors thoughts! Not to mention the music they play riding around the complex. Its cold now but in the summertime...nothing but people walking around the complex. Kids play in the street hitting vehicles and damaging them with their balls/toys. The gate is broken RIGHT NOW. When we moved in it took us 3 months to get gate codes but luckily we havent needed them since the gate has worked about 3 weeks out of the 11 months we have been here. I also got rear ended being tail gated during those 3 weeks. If you dont mind paying 200.00 more a year for the location and the same shoddy service...by all means. Good luck.
One of the best communities I’ve ever experienced since moving to Atlanta. Murphy guided me through the entire process. She is very professional and friendly. Murphy and her colleague, Shaniqua, are both kind individuals that makes moving extremely easy and fun. Thank you all so much.
Had a great time at the pool party never seen a manager work so hard for the residents and staff where super nice! everyone looked so happy so many prizes and food where given out. great landscape great community i definitely would recommend to live here great people great place to live!
I will be a new resident starting in June and leasing agent Shaniqa has been nothing but the best. Ran into some issues with the process but she was able to make things happen.I look forward to moving to the community and fell confident with having her there anything i need will be taken care of.Thanks again so much Shaniqa for everything
The staff here is lazy. I would say forgetful but that is not the case. They say ANYTHING to get you off of the phone and or out of the office. My apartment is in TERRIBLE shape and I told a member of MANAGEMENT prior to the signing of my NEW lease. I was told it would be taken care of ASAP. It is very close to TWO MONTHS later and nothing has been done. I cannot wait for my lease to be up so I can move. If I can find a place sooner I would GLADLY pay the fee for breaking my lease. In addition to that issue...I have a HORRIBLE neighbor who has BEEN in violation of the lease, yet is still a resident. (not sure how that works) I am paying $1,160 to live in hell.
Ive lived here for a couple months and so far it has been an amazing experience. The front office staff Shanice and Shaniqa are always pleasant and handle my complaints in a timely manner. I would recommend this community to anyone who is looking for a quiet community and a great location.
FIRST THING FIRST, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!! Please take your money and move elsewhere. The apartment buildings are very old and outdated. For the condition of these apartments they are charging extremely too much to live here, rent shouldnt been nor more than 800. I have lived her a year and im soooo glad my lease is over, from the time i moved in the apartment had bugs(which you are paying for pest control in your rent but if you do not call them every week then your apartment wont be sprayed ), dirt was coming in my apartment through a hole in the wall, my apartment flooded 3 times and they did nothing, my heat blows cold air and has been doing so since ive moved in and i was told alot of people complain about the same thing, they always have problems with the water so thats always shut off randomly, The people in the leasing off starting with adrianna (money hungry) thats all shes about, shes a liar , and provides nothing but false information. Shanequa (or however you spell her name) is pretty decent, and is the only person that seems honest and the most helpful. Ive seen numerous of people move in and out within the year ive been staying over here. This complex is a revolving door. For the money you will be paying you can find much better in the area. And again I REPEAT DO NOT MOVE HERE. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!!!!!
The leasing office has given me the run around about adjusting my rent amount because my lease was not updated in the system. Everything was supposed to be handled by 6pm on the 3rd and it wasnt situated at all. To refrain from getting a late fee I paid the amount on the portal which is not my lease amount. I was told that this issue would be resolved when I renewed my lease on August 30th and I am still waiting.
FRUSTRATING!!! - never apply on line....My uncle and my step brother asked me to see one apartament in this place, and when I arrived on the place I really liked it... it was so calm Calm and clean.... Michelle, was the one that show me the apartment that I liked, and she said that was available and I could apply on line or with her.I decide to apply on line because will be my uncle who will live there, and.....he did it... But, day after it, they call him and told that they approve the aplication, but they can give the apartment that I saw because someone few days a go rented this apartment. Frustrating.....And now, yesterday I went on the office, try to solve this problem, and they said (Staff Raily) that she has another apartment but not with the same especifications that I sawe before and she told me that she cant go with me to she the building because she has to much to do.I decide to apply for this new one in a blind way to do it, and now when I saw on the website, they just put 11 months to rent not 12, like the first way!!!! People take care.... make sure that everything will be the same way that you talk with the staff or the other wise you will be frustrated!!!
Worst apartments ever. I was wrongly evicted. .Radco later admitted they were wrong. The extremly fat lady with glasses in the rent office, is a rude arrogant ,ugly person.inside and out. i tried to present money orders to prove i paid my rent, but she refused to Look at it. No heart at all. Coorparate called me the next day and said they messed up and offered a small settlement. After illegally evicting me Radco has not fired the lady yet. Great area though. Horrible manangement. Roaches are awful there, very bad.
So, about 20 minutes ago I decided to walk into the office of this establishment to inquire about a 1 bedroom 1 bath unit. I approached the front desk and tried to speak with the guy standing there trying to inquire about this establishment, even though I had read reviews saying about bad property management. But to no surprise, the reviews couldnt have been any more correct. The man at the front desk never greeted me and snapped at me when I asked about the availability of a 1 bdrm 1 bath telling me, No, we have none! When I asked if they had a demo unit I could see he snapped again saying, NO, we only have a 2 bdrm, i guess i could show you if you really wanted... I told him, thanks but no thank you, have a nice day, and walked out. Conclusion: Very bad customer experience from the start. I will not return to any establishment that will not treat their customers with care and carry themselves with a proper professional attitude.
My 4 year old and I live in Ashford Woods and have been without air conditioning for almost a week now, despite my multiple calls and emails to management. No one is helping get this air conditioner installed. It’s 83 degrees inside my house right now at midnight. I have been extremely diplomatic and patient, but their lack of action and resolution of the problem is troubling.
I want to thank Tamika for her amazing customer service! Ive had long overdue problems with my apartment complex ceiling leakage, clogged toilet and sink etc...Tried calling Joseph several times. But when I talked to her About my issues they were rosolved. Thanks Tamika!
This community was taken over by new management and they are performing well, Good that they have changed lot of old people in front office. I stayed here from 2017-18 and moved out and again came back for my sons school in 2019. I was happy to see Shaniqa Azar from front office when i came back, She was amazing person who helps and treats everyone equally. She responds quickly and does multitasking. She is definitely a best asset to this new management. All new front office people are helpful and they have started answering all our calls now, earlier it was difficult to reach out them over the Phone. I wish this new management all success.Advance Merry Christmas and New Year 2020.
I had maintenance and sewage issues as soon as I moved in and all they do is say they will take care of it but never do. No need to comment under this post as if yall care about yall residents because yall dont. Yall want people to pay rent on time but yall dont even keep this place sanitary. Its disgusting.
Hate it here!!! This is the worst place to live maintenance is horrible they dont fix anything and are slow. Front office doesnt do their job and follow up on things to make sure it was done. I will never recommend this place to anybody and its way over priced I cant wait for my lease to be up
After the new Management took over AshfordWoods, Im seeing a lot of improvements. Whether it be the Maintenance requests getting completed within the same day or the quick response Im getting back from the Leasing Office, Im overwhelmed by this new management. Kudos to the new management and Im wishing them good luck to keep this momentum going for a long time. u0010Thank you guys and my special thanks to Shaniqa. She ensures the works get done and always follow up with the Residents to ensure they feel happy and comfortable.

2022-03-28I just moved in a few weeks ago, and the staff were extremely helpful in the whole process. They were absolutely amazing in helping us find our new home in Cumberland Pointe. They were extremely responsive and very helpful. From finding an available unit, to the application process, and even our sweet folder welcoming us home, we are so grateful. We love our new space. There is very little trash lying outside units; the units are well kept, and the maintenance staff are very responsive and helpful as well.

2022-05-02Update:Added one star to my review since management actually tries to make things right and they respond to emails as soon as they can. Sometimes there’s really nothing that can be done if other residents don’t want to be respectful of others and the property.WORST PLACE TO LIVE. Do not move here!! Severe roach problem, people screaming in the middle of the night and early mornings, old run down buildings where you can hear literally everything, disrespectful neighbors, trash everywhere, broken gate and amenities... but you get what you pay for I guess! Ive lived here for over a year now and the day I move out is going to be the best day. This place doesnt even deserve 1 star. PLEASE TAKE ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEWS SERIOUSLY. Dont make the same mistake we did by moving here.

2022-01-25Would caution anyone from renting from this apartment complex, I lived here in 2019, it wasnt the worst place to live but upon moving out was given back my security deposit and then 1 year later received a call stating I owed them money for moving out early. This came after they paid me back my security deposit, I hashed this out with the office and they admitted they were wrong and wrote a letter stating I owed them $0. Fast forward a year later they sent the sum that was waived above to a credit collector and now dealing with them so this doesnt affect credit long-term, poorly run complex from a management level.

2022-03-08Warning BEWARE: Do not move into this complex if you have any other option...SERIOUSLY! I have been living here going on 2 years and I have had issues with my A/C since 4 months after moving in here. Maintenance said there was a leak somewhere in the lines but instead of fixing it they opted for recharging it every 3 months when we would ask them to. This became tedious so we finally begged them to just replace the unit in the winter because our heat was not working either. They said they would replace it but we had to wait until the spring/summer time. So we went through all of winter 2021 with barely any heat working and no one thought that was a problem. Front desk knew about the situation and they would not take any money off of our rent nor would they cover our $115 power bill that we were consistently getting because our unit would run without producing any heat or air. It is now March of 2022 and we still do not have any working air going on 6 months now. We have to rely on open windows and fans in our apartment. Front desk refuses to answer any calls and maintenance refuses to fix anything. At this point we’ve given up it’s become ridiculous. This is just ONE of the many issues. From loose outlets to broken and dirty facilities and critters, this place should be avoided if you can. They are old apartments and definitely not worth the $400 increase that I see the units are going for now since I have been here. I know choices are scarce these days with rent prices skyrocketing but please at least save yourself from this headache.

2022-01-15Absolutely the worse place i have ever lived. Roaches and other random bugs just about every day. When i talked to the leasing office i was told we live in a wooded area. Bugs are to be expected. Looked under the sink it was a hole just there that lead to the outside. Hole in the bathroom also. Wish i could upload the videos. We broke our lease cause we couldn’t take it.

2022-02-15Just here to help everyone out there. Do not move In here. They may say this is someone writing out of vengeance. Trust me this is not.. You will regret it if you move in here.. This is the worst place to live. The management is awful. They all a bunch of thief. I know for a fact that the maintenance supervisor, Richelle Manager, Akeyla, and Sheniqua stealing supplies and money from the company. The management act nice to get in then disrespect you after you get in. Richelle gave them supervisor position just to keep the secret. They do not repair nothing. All the apartments are running down. Claiming they are brand new but all they did was put in new appliances. The place is ghetto with gunshots and they be breaking into cars. They all about money but do jot repair anything. They charge you for pest control but do not come out. I been living here for years but only had pest control come once. They change management so much*

2021-04-17There are many things that I love about my new home thus far. 1st and foremost my leasing agent Shaniqua was amazing! She was friendly, professional and went over and beyond to insure that I was satisfied. Surprisingly everyone in the leasing office had the same friendly and professional energy. That was a plus for me. I also love the way the landscape is well kept nice and clean. Maintenance so far has been very punctual. It appears that they take maintenance orders very seriously. I love my experience thus far and Im praying that they continue to keep up the great works!

2021-12-31I just want to thank Cumberland Pointe for helping me out when I was suffering to pay my rent due losing my job and the covid shut down. Although bumpy at the end of the road this apartment complex showed themselves to be more than generous and truly became a blessing. I leave with peace with them and no evictions or fees attached to my name because they did everything they could to help me and I just want to say Thank you and may the Most High bless you. Shalom Peace

2021-11-27I lived here for 11 months and the BUGS are overwhelming. All over the kitchen and the walls, inside food cabinets and pots. I keep my space clean but the unit was infested when we moved in. We also had flooding issues that were never resolved (they claimed to fix the issue by cleaning the gutters but it didn’t work) and large groups of children would tease and throw things at our neighbors dog. The location is good, but price and quality of living at Cumberland Pointe are not.
