My family has been involved with DFS since it opened 10 years ago. The variety and quality of instruction is great. Between everybody in our family, we have been enrolled in every program during our time here. It is a great facility for families because there is something for everyone. The location is great, especially in the summer because it is very close to the library, park, and pool. The instructors and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend DFS!
My 2 kids attended Dacula Family Sports Summer Camp all summer and are now in their After School Program. I wanted the kids to try it the first week of Summer Camp to see if they wanted to attend the entire summer. After that 1st week, my kids begged me to stay in the Summer Camp. Not only do they have lots of activities (Swimming at the Public Pool, Kids Movie at a theater and fun fieldtrips) but the camp employees were great with the kids. If there was a minor issue with any other child, they handled it well and let me know when I picked them up. One day when picking up my kids, I watched as one of the camp employees was settling a dispute between 2 other kids. She was authoritative but kind and helped the 2 kids solve the issue. I was impressed!!! So much so that I have enrolled them in their After School Program. They get to participate in their chosen sport twice a week and get help with homework. That gives me quality time at home with my kids.Thank you DFS for making my kids summer fun.
Our son has attended DFS for almost a year now and he loves it. Its a great benefit to have a facility that can provide after school care and other options for children. The summer camp was voted #1 by our son when we asked him to rate it against the other local camps hes attended. Its truly a family environment where the kids come first. Were here to stay!! Thanks for all you do DFS!
Dacula Family Sports is one of the most professionally run facilities in all of Georgia, offering top notch quality programs from martial arts, gymnastics, dance, music, and a phenomenal after school program! The staff is super friendly and the front desk staff always greets you with a smile and very informative and helpful. I highly recommend this facility for your family!
Our family has been a part of the DFS family for a few years, our girls LOVE this establishment, the staff is personable and great hosts to the kids.. the sports activities they offer are a great way to get the kids up and moving! not to mention the great help the teachers are with the after school homework! in addition, parents can get a break when they offer kids night out!! check it out...definitely recommend DFS..
My family has been involved with Dacula Family Sports since they opened. We have been very pleased with all of the activities they have offered. The staff and management have been wonderful and have made us feel like we were part of their family. We highly recommend DFS to anyone interested in enrolling their family in Tae kwon do, gymnastics, dance or their afterschool program.
Our family has been a part of Dacula Family Sports for a few years now and my two girls love the after school program they offer. They are loved on by all the teachers, they get help with their homework and they get the chance to do a sport twice a week. Thats a huge bonus to this single mom who doesnt get the chance to cart them around to different sporting practices. We were also a part of the 2014 summer program and they stayed active and busy all summer long by going to the pool, to the park, to the movies and on a field trip every single week. DFS is definitely family oriented and we are proud to be a part of it!
Since 2003 Davila Family Sports Center has strived to provide the ultimate family experience. The staff is exceptional and ensure that children and adults alike grow mentally, physically and spirituality from the programs provided. If your are looking for an after school program that is far above the rest this the place to go. To top that the Summer Camps offer kids an opportunity to have a world class experience while the parents focus on their careers. The base programs, Karate, Gymnastics and,Dance are best of Class. It is a total family experience.
I have two girls that attend DFS and they really enjoy it. The convience of the after school program picking them up form school is a valuable piece to me. They are learning new things (dance and gymnastics) and they never want to leave when I come to pick them up. The staff is friendly and attentive. I would recommend it to any of my family or friends.
I have had my grand children at DFS for years. My children attend the after school program and gymnastics and Karate. They also take guitar and piano. I have always found the staff to be caring and loving to the children. I highly recommend DFS. Its the best facility in Dacula.
My grand daughter has been going to DFS for 3 years now and I must say she has only gone to two care facilities in her little life and she out grew the first one and I feel she will be at DFS for many years to come. The staff is more like family than anything else, I love the fact that they want to know you by name and not a number. They keep me very informed when it comes to my grandbaby and that in it self means a lot to me because she is my world. I drop her off in the morning before work and I pick her after I get off from work. The center helps her with her homework when she gets there after school.I must say DFS has a lot of activities keep the my baby busy and interested in what the center has to offer daily. The summer program is wonderful. She loves school and is always sad when it ends, but she looks forward to summer camp and all the different activities they do each week. Her gymnastics class and her Tae Kwon Do class has really allowed her grow within her self. I say thank you DFS there should be more facilities like yours. Hat off to the whole staff.
Great place to start you lil guy or gal in gymnastics. Our daughter is only 22 months old and they offer a class for her age group. Reasonable price and great staff made for a great experience for both our daughter and my wife and I. Very clean and professional. Super glad that we were able to find a program for her age in the area. Great place with many programs for all ages groups. Very cool.
My daughter and niece attend afterschool and participate in gymastics, ballet/tap/jazz, and hip-hop. I love the staff and my experience has been wonderful. The kids love it! They are open late for afterschool (until 7pm) and I dont have to worry about picking my kids up to take them to their activites they are already there! It saves time and money. We plan to use them for afterschool, gymnastics, and dance for MANY years to come!
4/12/17 I wish I could break the review up in separate parts to grade accordingly. The gymnastics and tumbling aspect is okay. Ms. Elly is amazing and has been the saving grace here. My kids enjoy it and we continue to come for that reason alone. ****Front desk personnel lacks customer service in all areas. I can count on one hand the amount of times Ive actually been acknowledged or spoken to upon entering the building and weve been attending for over 3 years. I actually emailed management to voice my concerns about this and the email never received a response. Weeks after that I actually spoke to the front desk person and let her know that out of the many times I enter the building she never even looks up to acknowledge or speak when people enter the building and even if she does look up which rarely happens she just looks and looks back down to whatever she is working on. After that she spoke maybe twice and then reverted right back to her old ways. Definitely dont feel like a valued paying customer here. Maybe thats not important for others, but to me it is. Customer service *Im horrified by the way I hear the afterschool teachers speaking to the children. Its completely unacceptable and once again I brought my concerns to management about the things that I heard being said while sitting in the parent room and again absolutely nothing was done. Ive heard the teachers scream at the kids, tell the kids to get out their face, tell the kids to mind their business and more. Today a teacher told a first/second grader that she looks like shes about to go twerk in a video. My children will never be enrolled in their after school program. Ever. *************************Update as of 4/19/17 @ 5:24 - well surprise surprise, they do know my name and who we are! Arriving for my childrens gymnastics class tonight and I was greeted at the door saying Mrs. Watson you or your children are no longer allowed on our property. My children and I both were surprised by this greeting! I inquire, why is that to only be told any communication must be done with our attorney, weve refunded the remainder of your tuition and youre no longer welcome. Well I guess Dacula Family Sports doesnt like honest feedback about what really goes on there. Despite the fact I had previously spoken to management on a couple occasions about every issue I listed in the review above. I hope they took as much urgency to actually fix the areas of concerns listed above such as how the children in their care are spoken to, which is the true issue at hand.
My son Kashawn, who is 9, has been going to the after school for 3 years and he has gone to the Summer camp for a Summer. As part of the after school program, he takes Tae Kwon Do and he really enjoys it. He loves going to Dacula Family Sports. We moved to Georgia from New York and he has made so many friends from going to DFS. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dacula Family Sports to everyone.
The staff is excellent - efficient, personable and knowledgeable. Master Stone and the other instructors are great to work with and push the students to do their best. The facility is always clean and orderly. I am always learning something new and enjoy meeting the challenges that are put before me. For these reasons and more I have given a five star rating.
My husband, Dave McNeill and I have been in this excellent school for seminars over the years and have found the owners and staff of this school to be extremely professional, caring and a highly family friendly place to be. We live too far away, Nevada, or we would be sending our kids and grandkids to learn , not only martial arts, but great life lessons.
I have nothing bad to say about Dacula Family Sports.. The owner Master Bobby Stone and his family are very nice and friendly. I enjoy joking with the staff. When they can dish it back at me then well thats alright! My son has been taking Tae Kwon Do there for the past few years. I think its been 5 or so years. I cant remember, but anyway... I also enjoy kids night out - For $20 dollars and 3 hours of freedom I can do that! Even though we dont live in the Dacula area anymore. We still make the drive over and do Tae Kwon Do .Thanks Dacula Family Sports for doing what you do!!~ ☆ L W
I would never put my children here ever again. Staff was nearly negligent and rude. One of their teachers belittled one of my kids because they didnt know how to tie their shoes at 7 years old. My daughter was constantly in time out because the teacher said she talked to much. We reported the verbal abuse and nothing was done about it. Parents would confront me and say they pulled their kids out too. No managers ever called about our concerns
My daughter had a different teacher every week. They spent more time playing then doing actual gymnastics. I complained twice & nothing changed. When we gave our notice of withdrawal the owner nor anyone else contacted me to find out why or offer any apologies for our disappointing experience.
Both of my children went to DFS for about a week and a half when I had to pull them out of the summer camp program. There was another camper that was being a bully and for 3 days my son was picked on with little help from the teacher. Her response was stay away from him The director tried her best to solve the problem but the teacher in the classroom was no help at all. She yelled at my son on several occasions to the point he was in tears. My daughter was then tripped and mocked by the bully for standing up for her brother. The last straw was my son was not acting himself and instead of trying to get to the bottom of why he was not engaging in the activities he was yelled at to get back in the activity. He let the teacher know that his ear was hurting and that was why he was standing off to himself yet no one called my husband or myself to let us know that he was hurting and not acting himself. He ended up with a bad ear infection with swelling of his ear canal that was causing extreme pain. To top it all off when I asked how my kids did when I picked them up the teacher said maybe you should think about pulling him out which made me believe that she just did not want to do her job taking care of my kids that I paid a lot of money for her to do. I am very disappointed with the care Dacula Family Sport gave to my children while in their care.
Very unprofessional and disrespectful management team that dont care about the families that attend. Instead of being concerned and wanting to address complaints that were made to management they would rather ban us from their property after our children attended for over three years for raising valid concerns about the treatment of children in their facility.
My son attended karate classes and it was good but the summer camp was an awaful experience because the lack of their experience in dealing with kids and stopping the kids to be mean to each other and because of this we decided to stop dealing with this place and we inform them about a month ago but we found out this month they still deducte the montly fee from our account and when we contacted them they said it is our fault because we should have filled a form for canceling the service even no body inform us with that.
Called and spoke with a rude uncustomer service lady that told me she was busy and call back later. I need to go to their website and stop asking her questions. Attitude. Definitely not somewhere any girl should be learning this rude behavior at her parents exspense. Tasteless!!

2022-02-24My granddaughter is here after school. She is also taking Taekwondo, gymnastics, and dance classes. It is very convenient. I don’t have to pick her up and take her to her classes. After work I just go pick her up. It saves me a lots of time. We made friends with many people. Owners and their employees are like a family to us. They take great care of kids just like they are their own. I can not imagine life without DFS. It’s like second home. English as a second language but I hope you understand what I am saying. Please try this place. This is my and my granddaughter favorite after school. Give them a chance to show you how amazing they are.

2019-07-26I have nothing negative to say about DFS especially its martial arts program! My three-year-old was enrolled for their ninja garden program for six months And the only reason we did not re-enroll him is because even though we saw a progression in his behavior the actual structural moves of Karate were something he just did not seem that interested in and we moved to a different area of GA. ( just a FYI, Chuck Norris probably would not have had my kid interested in ninja technique) The instructors were some of the most awesome, patient, kid loving people I have ever met! Even the young instructors knew how to handle my son when he goofed off unnecessarily or became deliberately disobedient! The rest of the staff are patient and kind and gave the warmest smiles to my little two-year-old daughter when she ran up to them just to say hi!! If we still lived in Dacula area we would most likely be giving the gymnastics program a chance next! This is a long review but I wanted it to be detailed just to get my point across of how much we loved DFS in the short time we were part of it and the people who ran it and we will miss them!

2014-03-10Our children, ages 10 and 6, have been attending Dacula Family Sports for 2 years now. Our kids are in the after school program and our daughter also takes an additional gymnastics class. Weve been very pleased with everything about our experience at DFS, from the caring teachers to the director to the skills our kids are learning in their sports. When we have encountered issues with behavior (either our childrens or another childs), it is handled in a reasonable and fair manner, and there is follow up afterward. Our son as attention deficit disorder, and the staff has been very willing to develop strategies to help him achieve success. He had some trouble making friends the first year, but through the staffs dedication to providing a supportive, positive environment, he has developed friendships this year. Both kids love going there and all of the staff know our kids by name. Its safe, fun, and affordable. Dont forget that the after school program saves you valuable time! By having our kids sports classes as a part of after school care, thats one less activity to rush to when we pick them up. We also love the kids night out that is offered twice a month that has helped us reclaim date night! Highly recommended!

2017-04-20My kids have been coming here for years and love it! Between the super-friendly, professional front desk staff and the brightly colored artwork up and down the walls, it has the most inviting and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you enter. My children are currently in gymnastics and taekwondo and both take private music lessons there as well; they just love their instructors and have learned so much! They even have a fitness based after school program that is unrivaled as well. I know of no other program that offers, not only daily fitness for kids, but such a variety of activities as well! Would definitely recommend DFS to anyone in the area with children!

2015-03-03DFS is a wonderful after school alternative to the typical daycare scenery, My child loves the aftercare program and always tells me about the big fun, fitness, and snacks for the day . The staff has always remained genuinely friendly, welcoming, and professional, They also have a great starter dance program for my toddler that she is excited to attend weekly. Our family loves DFS!!!

2017-05-10My family and I have known the staff and owners of DFS for many years. They are always very welcoming and professional. They make you feel like family. I have had the privilege of seeing several black belt testings for Tae Kwon Do. The students are taken through rigorous testing with tough love. Master Bobby and Master Kathy care very much for their students, which can be seen by the respect and love that they show. One of my daughters friends took gymnastics there and loved it so much that she now works there. I would recommend DFS to anyone looking for a place for martial arts and gymnastics or a after school program for their children.

2014-12-19My daughter has been a part of the Dacula Family Sports (DFS) family for a couple of years now. We love it so much we are hesitant to move out of the area because we would be hard pressed to find such an awesome program anywhere else. The staff is fantastic, always ready to help and really does make you feel like part of the family. The after school program at DFS is phenomenal. They pick my daughter up from school and she can stay until 7 pm if necessary which is later than a lot of other places around. My daughter has been in a few daycare and after school care facilities with similar tuition costs, but they did little other than keep a half an eye on the children. DFS after school program has been such a blessing for us and we love that it includes our daughters choice of sport. Children can choose dance, gymnastics, or Taekwondo with classes twice a week. If you have ever paid for an extracurricular activity, you know this can be an expensive addition to childcare costs, so having it included in your normal childcare without an extravagant price tag is so nice. Also, I do not have to try and work my schedule around my daughters Taekwondo classes because she does it while shes already at the facility before I even pick her up. They also offer help with homework and have activities to keep the childrens minds fed and bodies moving.Need a night out? Twice a month, DFS offers Kids Night Out (which is really parents night out). For less than $20 your child can enjoy four hours of fun and pizza while you take a breather and enjoy a few hours of adult time. Thats a lot less than most babysitters and more fun for the kids!We also love the DFS summer camps! Every week they go on a new and exciting field trip, take trips to the pool, go to the park, and have a learning theme to tie it all in together. Summer camps also include two days of the sport of your choosing. When school is out, they often have holiday camps too to help out those parents that cannot be on their childrens schedules. Theres never a dull moment and I wish I was a child again so I could be a part of all of the fun.I suggest if you are looking for a place to enroll your child in classes, or a place for them to go after school or during the summer months, that you check out DFS. You wont be disappointed.

2018-06-11I’m editing my review from about a year ago. My daughter is/was in ballet class on saturday mornings. I’ll start by saying her teacher, Ms. Vikki, is FANTASTIC! We have been more than happy with her. She genuinely loves what she does and my daughter adores her. That being said, the organization as a whole is very unorganized. We just participated in our second recital and for a second time I feel like I’m not sure where my $150 recital fee (plus $10 per ticket after the original 2) went to. The sound was horrible, the dress rehearsal was a mess, no one knows who is in charge, and the “leaders” with the dance company are very unprofessional. I am glad that I was able to see the dance company’s dances before letting my daughter try out. The songs and dances were highly inappropriate for their ages.In the end I give Dacula Family Sports 5 stars for the Saturday morning teacher and 1 star for everything else.

2017-04-21My family and I have been privileged to be a part of DFS since its inception in 2003. My oldest daughter began taking martial arts from Master Stone through the community school program when she was 6 (and she is now a part of the Naval Security Forces), my son followed the following year, and my husband and I started the first adults class with friends of ours a year later. We naturally followed Master Stone when he opened this facility. This actually led to a career change for me, and I now serve my students as the martial arts program director. All of my children have been students here (in every sport offered), and subsequently worked as employees.I strongly feel that my fellow employees are family. We ARE Dacula FAMILY Sports!
