First of all, I hate giving bad reviews. However, this location was nasty due to the roaches that came out the 2nd night myself and my family were there. We originally came to Covington to visit because I am a big fan of the vampire diaries, the originals and Legacies. I have include photos of the breakfast that so call ended at 9 am! We also had to move the mattress to see where the roaches came from. The maintenance people were way more welcoming then the owner/front desk staff. The maintenance staff should just run the place themselves. Also this place is overdue for a makeover. You can get a better breakfast at the gas station that is directly in front of the days inn. Also, when I went to the front desk to ask about the breakfast the lady said breakfast ended at 9…all the hotels I’ve been too breakfast ended at 10 or 11am.If I could give it a half star outta five I would. The lady at the front acted to nice on the phone until we arrived. Also the man said he would give us a discount because the room was dirty. My husband and I cleaned our room ourselves because due to Covid we bring our own cleaning products. We only choose this hotel because they sounds so sincere over the phone. Also, it was close to Covington square. So if you ever get tried and think you would like to stay there bring your own cleaning products , a vacuum and steam cleaner. Or you can camp out in your vehicle or look for another place to stay.
This facility was not fit to even stay a night the room smelled bad towels was dirty comforter had cigarette holes dead roaches around the facility then I had to argue with Wyndham and the clerk to get a refund my pressure was definitely raised by this inconvenience please don’t patronize this place save your money and time
While pet friendly, they still discriminate by charging a fee for our friends who are people with fur to stay with us. The room was not up to my high standards and needed some spiritual cleaning. I spent some time scrubbing the bathroom area, so I can say that the staff needs a vacation and some extra help, although nice people. A bit more what I would consider a sketchy place, and I felt a bit unsafe.
Made a reservation for the hotel and was told its pet friendly and it was clear I have two cats. When I got there, I was turned away because they dont allow pets. Didnt feel safe there either. The woman who booked my reservation said once I confirmed it, there was no refund. Hopefully I get my money back. I paid $135 total... Never got a room.
When I walked into the room I thought I was back in the 60s. The room was very dated and Definitely not what I expected for an 86.00 a night room and to ad insult to injury there were no amenities at all being provided by the hotel. I stay in hotels 9 months of the year due to my job and have to say this is one of the bottom 10% of all of the Wyndam properties I have been to for price versus quality of the room. This should be a 40.00 a night hotel at best.
$100 dollars a night. Came in at 130am dead tired and just paid cause we were too tire to continue on. Room was ghetto, ceiling was cracked everywhere, room smelt musty and stale pain colors all over the place. Woke up at 7am to a smoke alarm going off in another room. Instead of taking care of it, they opened the door wide open and left it thay way to wake up the whole place. Continental breakfast was a bag with a muffin and a small pastry and some bananas. Single worst place I have ever stayed! Dont do it.
This was by far the worst experience. My friend and I wanted to stay here to visit mystic falls for the vampire diaries. The place does not match the pictures . The outside was worn and old which we didn’t mind but when we got to our room, there was a huge stain on the couch , looked like urine. It smelled and the bed sheets had stains and hair . The bathroom was certainly not cleaned . Hair and stains all over the tub. We looked at the bed and sheets and they were stained . The pillows were all different sizes and brown . We returned our keys and not even two minutes later they gave our room to someone else without cleaning it . The person at the front didn’t try to help us of offer to clean it I would give this place negative places if I could
Really love it here they are so nice and get things done quick, our air wasnt working very well we called and within an hour they had us a new unit put in GREAT service... As I see it its a very good place to stay they will go above and beyond to accommodate you and the room was very clean also. Will stay with them again.
It is getting worst 1st it was ok the when we came back to our fav room it had streamers every where and hole behind the door then now no alarm or the table light or coffee pot now and they charge us 15.00 for early check in and check out is 11 and check in at 2 and I was told early check in was 5 dollars more
After my pet issue with super 8 next door, I looked for nearby hotels on google that were pet friendly and this one populated. I called the hotel number and got their call center. I was informed they would accept my request for a reservation with three pets for a fee which I happily agreed to. Upon check-in, I was informed they only allowed one pet as well. I called the call center back and expressed my frustration to which I was informed the charge was not refundable. After some persuasion, I have a refund that should post in the next few days. Avoid this place at all costs to save yourself the frustration.
AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!Worst place Ive ever stayed in my entire 38 years of life (and ive been to jail a couple of times)There was food crumbs, dust, and who knows what else behind the beds and night stand.Stains on the pillow case like they havent been changed.A red substance that looked like blood on the tv stand. No toilet paper in the bathroom. And worst of all we woke up to cops swarming the area looking for someone
After having to stay in hotel 2 previous nights in a row due to flooding in my home. I came to this one which was may 10 more dollars a night but I didnt mind. The rooms were very clean, had very comfortable beds and when I asked for extra towels I got them right away. The man at the front desk gave great service and is very nice. So is the lady that is there in the mornings (cant remember names). My kids enjoyed their breakfast as well.
The audacity of this place to charge damn near $100 per night. They just caught me when I was dead tired and couldnt drive another inch. They will price gauge based on being the only option. Rooms are more like the pay by the hour type if you get my meaning. JUST FILTHY AND NASTY. This has to be where COVID 19 was birthed.
Breakfast is more Continental than official. Surveillance surrounds the complex for complete security. Rooms are comfortable and nice bedding for sleep comfort. The staff is awesome and knowledgeable. The suites are awesome with Jacuzzi and move around space. Im a regular there and have no desire to stay in any of The surrounding hotel/motel businesses. Praise... Mr Atul, Bimal, and Kevin for making the dwelling at the Days Inn experience stress free an a blessing to have made their acquaintance.
I liked big rooms, parking near hotel. Rooms were clean.But...Balnkets and sheets were with big holes. Matrases was with yellow spots. White towels were with big gray spots and were torn.Bathroom was without shelves and hanglers for towels and chothes.Water... If you clean your tooth, you can feel beautiful water from swamp.Wentillation in a bathroom give your fresh cold air when you wash or read book on the white chair. It must all air from bathroom remove to outside! it work wrong!Breakfast is very simple.
This place is just disgusting! Hair in the sink, fridge, ice bucket. Left over Wendys wrapper in the floor still. My sons feet are black from the floor and not even being here an hour!! Dont even get me started about the smell. It seems like Im staying at a bar. Not to mention the coffee maker still had a used tea bag in it. I would recommend staying at the Country Inn & Suites. Pay that little extra and sleep in a clean nice enviorment.
The room that I had was dirty it needs a very deep cleaning it just felt gross being in the room because of all the dirt and grime and its very noisy could not get a good night sleep in the neighborhood is so so I would not be going out at night in that area. The positive side is the young women that work the desk or very friendly
Help desk was very nice a first. Got a room that was expected to be a non smoking room but smelled like covered up smoke. Cobwebs on the lamp and found a spider in the bed. Was accused of using the room because I pulled the sheet back. However, that is how I discovered the spider. Help desk person went to the room and checked it out as well and said he did not see anything and that I used the room with only being there a whopping ten minutes. Asked me if I wanted another room and since I was disgusted, I said no thank you and wanted my money back. I ended up going to another hotel. Turned out wayyy better. Now I feel like I can sleep. And yes I hate spiders.
This was one of the cleanest and friendliest hotels in this area I love it hereas far as the breakfast it could upgrade. But all around clean and friendly office staff. They helped me find my nose ring and went above and beyond the job of making me feel comfortable even the smoking rooms are clean . ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5stars from me.
The first night we stayed, the fitted sheet wasnt even put all the way on the bed and it was inside out. The toilet had a broken tank cover and they had glued it back together like a puzzle. Paint was falling off of the wall. We found a Co2 cartridge behind one of the side tables next to the bed. And people near us kept slamming their door, repeatedly, and yelling at each other. The only reason I even give it 3 stars is because the customer service was good!
I would have to say this was a piss-poor experience with this Motel. We found a cockroach in my room when we woke up this morning sheets in our room in a non-smoking room and we have 2 babies with us. I went to the managers this morning and explain the situation to him and they had no I kind of remorse for finding a cockroach and burnt sheets in there and theyre just like they come in from outside. I just think 4 days and this was just a very very bad experience at the motel and what do you expect people that dont care.
The man that I checked in with was very friendly. I was desperate when I went to this place because the place I reserved Online didn’t have anymore rooms and it was late at night. The rooms are literally motels this is no hotel and the place is dirty!!! For breakfast all they serve is: honey bun, bread, muffins, coffee, milk and cereal THATS IT. The lady I spoke with the next day trying to extent my stay was so rude tried to yell at me when all I was asking is how much it would be to extend my stay. I have never had such a bad experience before! I would not even recommend my enemy to stay here. I usually never write reviews but this time I knew that I had to! If you can just go somewhere else there is another hotel down the street.
I cannot even give a star for this LITERALLY roach motel. We had a late check in, we arrived at 5am in the morning after travelling and being up since4am the morning prior, just to sleep as we headed 3 more hours. We get in the room and the overhead light doesnt work, we find a side light only to findanother light ripped out of wall. I check both beds, each bed had stained sheets, stained and burn holes in the blankets and one of the beds had blood or vomit on the side. The carpet had food, this room CLEARLY hadnt seen cleaning let along maintenance in months. I went to front desk, because the phone in the room DID NOT work to call, and received fresh sheets and blankets only to find a roach ON the blanket. I did complain only to get oh im sorry, ill talk to housekeeping. Needless to say, there was no sleeping. The breakfast was disgusting old pastries. This property is disgusting and needs SHUT DOWN. This is the first time I have stayed in a Days Inn, it will be my last and I will NEVER recommend one.
This year, due to family members moving to NC, we have been traveling through this area at least 8 times now (that I can remember), and we will be doing more. I normally stop in towns before Atlanta. Weve trief different Hotel/Motel chains, to see whos better than the others. This is our first time in Covington Days Inn, but will not be the last. It was due to an oversight on my part that I did not book ahead of time, the one I wanted to stay to originally in Madison, and when I called they have one room left and its smoking. So off to the next town, which is Covington. And I found a Diamond in the rough. The place is tucked almost in the background and you have to pass through a gas station parking lot. The pool was closed for the season, they do not have a lot of hot breakfast items, but they do have oatmeal. And this is what we also had...The people are very pleasant, from the gentleman I spoke on the phone named AJ, to the lady at the desk, the gentleman who gave me extra towel and washcloths for the kids (4 and 5 years old) and the gentleman the morning we checked out.The room is spacious, does not have a bad smell. We are given the king bed, bottom floor, as I requested. A nice big bed that is soooo comfortable and has no low areas on it. Very clean and odorless sheets. (Ive come to making a habit of bringing our own covers when we travel, but this time we actually used theirs too.)The kids actually liked to just flopped their bodies down on the bed, and they did not bounced. Lol After traveling for more than 400 miles the kids were able to watch cartoons and kids movies that are appropriate for their age. Very first time we have an abundance of channels/shows to choose from. We slept through the night without being woken up with noises and/or commotions outside, and we were close to the office, mind you. AND best of all, the vanity, bathroom floor, toilet, bathtub are so nice and clean that for the first time in our travelings, and we have done more than this route, I shocked the kids telling them that if they want to take a bath, they can. ( You should have seen the look on their faces, lol) Ive made up my mind that everytime we are passing through this area, we are staying in Covington Days Inn and will request for that room specifically. (Im not saying the number of the room we stayed in, due to one crazy person will request it and destroy my Diamond in the rough 😉)
Actually deserves a 0 had two rooms, found numerous pubic hair on clean beds and towels, dirty towels used to clean with left in floor of one room, developed a rash after trying to sleep in the beds, pool is padlocked and on a Sunday morning breakfast ends at 9 am. management decided it was worth a $10.00 credit and spoke to me as if I were stupid. Avoid this slum at all cost.
I called looking to book a room... Asked the woman a few questions and she was so rude. She didnt allow me time to ask her all of my questions, instead she told me to come see for yourself then you could decide whether you want to book or not. I was so frustrated speaking with this woman. Then she had the nerve to tell me that i was holding up her line... With that attitude Im surprised she had a line... I wont be booking at this hotel because these people need to learn some type of customer service skills!!
I wouldnt even give them 1 star .Definitely not a place to stay with a family .We picked this place for a trip with our family to tour TVD and well this place is not what the reviews or photos and state . My kids had to witness a guy passed out laying in the parking lot . Dirty people are RUDE .
We stayed here after a Horrific stay at the ABVI in Covington, for another hundred dollars, but I think that it was worth the money. We were given a price, and they stuck to it. The pool was damaged in a recent storm, so we could not use the pool, but the staff are very nice and all worked hard to fix problems quickly AND made us feel at home and welcomed. I would have given a five star rate, but the pool was damaged due
I usually find comfort and safe familiarity when I know that I am staying at a Days Inn. Unfortunately, this was the exception to the rule. It is hard to locate because the entrance is through a gas station parking lot. The building itself is run down, and the people there were very sketchy. Another one to steer clear of for safety. Lock up.
Its a very cozy and a very nice place to visit if youre just passing through stopping they are very friendly and the rooms are very clean and if it doesnt meet your satisfaction theres another place just right up the road that Id recommend you to go and that would be the Travel Lodge
This is should be awarded the most nastiest place people pay to stay in the state of Georgia but unfortunately its call a hotel.... I will probably write a book if I should mention the inconveniences and discomfort the moronic lady call bima at the reception cost us.... The bottom line is, its better sleep in your car or elsewhere Nomatter how cheap you can pay unless you are welcome to find out otherwise!.

2022-06-20This is a pretty decent spot for the price. Room was a little outdated, but it was very clean. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Location is good because theres not a lot of traffic, you can get what you need close by, and other, bigger cities are super close. I actually used the pool here, too, and it was clean and peaceful. Id stay here again.

2022-05-15If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It made me a little uncomfortable off the bat but I gave it the benefit of the doubt until I saw the rooms. Trash everywhere in the hallway by the window, everyone was very loud and the smell of smoke was strong. We got to our rooms and didn’t even want to sit down because it looked like it hadn’t been clean. So many burns on the carpets, and multiple on the comforter as well. Found both animal and human hair on the bed and in the sheets when I checked. Felt very unsafe and uncomfortable and we didn’t even take our shoes off. Was checked in and checked back out within 20 minutes. I would recommend saving up for nicer lodgings. I am grateful atleast that the lady provided me with a full refund even if she was a little snotty about us not being comfortable there as if she couldn’t understand what was wrong with the room.

2022-04-30The outside of the hotel looks kind of dirty but when you get inside the rooms its clean and colorful shockingly. They have free breakfast which is mostly muffins, cereal and other common grab and go snacks. The location is behind a gas station. The main issue I have is that they dont stop peoppe from making noise or playing extremely loud music outside the hotel.

2022-05-14The worst hotel I ever stayed in. The staff was very nice but the room did not have a dresser so had to live out of suitcase for a week. The pool and jacuzzi was down for repairs in the middle of May. The best thing was the waffle house was near by.

2022-03-13I would make this a zero but I can’t. This stay was awful! The front desk lied to us. We booked a non smoking room and they gave us a smoking one. They denied it but we found cigarette burns in the sheets and ashtrays in the room. Also, when we came back, the room was flooded with the cigarette smoke. I’m allergic to tobacco and it was awful. They wouldn’t change our room. I asked and they said it was a non smoking. We had no clean towels when we returned. The room was dirty. I’ve slept in something worse in Cincinnati but this ranks a little higher than that but not much. This isn’t the hotel’s fault but the minuteman in room 200 beside us on this date, didn’t help either. Will not stay again and warning all of you to not stay here either.

2022-06-16I don’t even know where to start….got this room because it was close to Mystic Falls and I wish i would’ve read all the reviews before even purchasing but when I got to my room it smelled like straight cigarette smoke when it was supposed to be a non smoking room. There was dried up ketchup on one of the beds and cut up finger nails. Stains on the couch and towels. Also looked like blood splatter on the back of the door and shower wall, dried up toothpaste on the door knob in the bathroom which was even barley on. I wish I could make this up but it was absolutely disgusting. They also talk to you in this little window on the side which was weird to me and the lobby is closed and looks a mess. Would not recommend to anyone
