Former employee (cashier.) I’d leave a review of zero stars if I could. Avoid this location at all costs if you are looking for work, especially if it’s your first job. The managers do a halfway-decent job when it comes to customer service and making sure guests are taken care of, but behind that facade is a whole lot of blatant verbal abuse and a complete, utter disregard for the well-being of employees, especially the cashiers at the registers. Contacting HR will not help in the slightest. The turnover rate at this store is extremely high for a reason. My being there for 11 months was an achievement in itself, as most employees don’t make it anywhere close to that long. There wasn’t a single day I worked where I didn’t go home mentally and/or physically exhausted. Do yourself a favor and find another place to work. Only positive thing I have to say is that I did meet a lot of celebrities, so here’s a picture of me and Queen Naija
For such a high end sporting goods store, can you not hire your own security team to do all,your following. Those companies are trained how to follow people without making them feel uncomfortable. I couldnt even look at bras, without being starred at, it was very uncomfortable.
Its a nice big store right here in Buckhead and theyve got a pretty good selection of goods. Ive had good success finding what I need and I like their check out Lanes set up for covid so that should be some comfort for in-store shopping. Its never very crowded so you dont have to worry about that for sure.
This is the second time visiting this location and I am blown away by how amazing the customer service has been!!! Granted, the selection is vast and given three floors to shop on, one could easily spend hours in this place. However, both times I had a specific product in mind and knew what I wanted. I received help from informative and polite team members that knew products and locations of said products. Then, when at the register, I dealt with a young woman on register 7, her name escapes me at the moment and it was not on the receipt. Anyway, she seemed genuine in her joy of assisting my checkout process, offered me to sign up for a membership loyalty card, (I declined last time) but accepted this time. She had a magnetic personality and was very kind. When there was a dispute over price, Bill (a manager) stepped in to assist and expedited a quick search for the cost and made the necessary change. They thanked me for MY patience, when they were the patient ones who went ABOVE AND BEYOND to expedite my checkout. I know it may not seem like much, but as a former sports authority shopper, Dicks is a giant step up in the quality and caliber of the team they employ! I will remain loyal to this location because of this experience, and continue shopping at Dicks because of these incredible associates. Kudos to the management team for clearly training your people and consistently maintaining a positive environment. ☺
They were able to assist in making a return although I did not have my receipt and were very efficient. I did look at their bicycle selection and there wasn’t an associate available for assistance. Later went to the shoe department and found what I was looking for without the need of assistance. There were employees there in case you needed help with size or selection. Checkout was easy and the cashier was nice.
Latisha assisted me in placing a curbside pick up during the quarantine. I wanted a running shoe that was in my price range, my size and ready for pick up today. She helped me sort through the online options by looking at what she had available in store. She was incredibly patient, helpful, and professional. Now I can run outside during these beautiful days! (While still following the quarantine restrictions.)
All 3 times I’ve been to this location the inventory was extremely low in almost every brand. Only available sizes in xxl or small in popular items. NOT WORTH THE TRIP TO THIS STORE. Identical products are marked at different prices in the men’s and women’s sections. I found two identical shirts on the sale rack (just different colors), one marked down and one not, and cashier did not even try to honor the marked down price. Do not plan on returning to this location...would’ve helped if the staff was friendly but not a single one acknowledged us in the 45min we were there on all 3 floors. Hard to get get customer service these days, no wonder Amazon get all of our money.
3 stars for clean store and easy parking, but staff are struggling. Was there to buy 2 pairs of shoes, but ended up walking out. Staff working in the shoe department werent in the mood to help/sell. Had to approach each staff member and even then they werent helpful. It wasnt even busy.
It was too challenging to find the entrance from the parking lot when entering from the back. I saw signs for the other stores but none for Dicks. Which made me think there wasn’t an entrance from the deck so I went out to the street and tried to enter from the front door. Found a sign that said enter through the parking deck.... went through the deck from the front and finally got inside the store. Huge location. It was my first time and I explained that to an employee when asking for help finding an item. He told me to take the escalator.... I had to ask him to show me since I already stated I’ve never been here before I didn’t know where the escalator was. I didn’t purchase anything, but I’m not writing this location off 100%. Employees should speak to customers they walk by with a simple greeting and if possible offer some help!
I called to ask a simple question. The associate was kind enough to get the manager because they didnt know the answer. The manager gets on the phone and was immediately rude. I understand frustration but to get on the phone with that type of attitude isnt what I expect from this establishment.
Been standing upstairs in fishing area for over 25 min, keep being told someone will be with me. Called store was told only 1 person working entire top floor. Horrible customer service.Don’t open at 9 if staff isn’t coming in until 11Update 10 min later still no to help us, been told 4 times someone is on their way.
Its my first time going to a sporting shop and I arrived there at close to closing hours and got help for what I was looking for. Even though some of the items I was looking for were not there (because they were out of stock) I still managed to find exactly what I was looking for. I wasnt able to check off a whole list of what I needed, but it was close to it. I had a nice chat with someone at the checkout as I bought my things. (They were paintball equipment for anyone wanting to know)If I ever get a chance to visit that store again, Ill gladly go!
Long lines and wait times at the shoe department, when you ask to try out a new pair of shoes in your size, and at the payment registers before leaving the store. Might need additional employees or better skilled ones to handle the high amount of customer volume that swamps the store on a daily basis.
I give four stars because of their limited selection of tennis gear and shoes. Otherwise they have a pretty big selection of yoga workout and other clothing. Extra credit for working with me to find the right size and order it for me online and use all of my coupons available.
I cant figure out how this store can be so perpetually inefficment. I guess its due to the lack of competition?? It was like that when Sports Authority existed too though. It takes them forever to check people out and no matter how slow the store is there is always a like. Returns are attrocious. Take 10+ minutes. The selection overall is good but never buy something there without a coupon. They are always available.
Not many associates on the floor when you first enter for assistance. I had to figure out where to go to find what I wanted. When i got upstairs someone in the shoe area pointed me to the general area. I then found someone stocking merchandise and told me quite a few people came in asking for fleece hats but we dont have them.
Incredibly disappointed by my experience with coordinating delivery with the store and their delivery partner. I purchased a treadmill on Saturday scheduled for a 5/16 delivery. The delivery partner called and rescheduled it to today, but didn’t confirm with Dick’s that the treadmill was in stock. The delivery partner claims Dick’s should have notified them that it wasn’t yet in stock. Both sides are placing the blame on the other, but no one has come up with a solution. I’ve wasted hours on the phone with the store and the delivery partner and still haven’t been given a new delivery date. Despite the huge inconvenience and the amount of time they’ve wasted, no one has offered any sort of refund or credit. Instead, all I hear from both sides is that someone will follow up with me later. Why charge so much for delivery and assembly if it’s going to be this inconvenient?
Andre in the shoe department was fantastic! I needed gym shoes and had a variety if odd requests such and he went in the back and got shoes that werent in season (wrestling shoes) for me to try on at my request and he helped me find a great pair within my budget! Thanks Andre!
Ive shopped here before and not had this issue. Must have been in daylight hoursTonight I had extreme difficulty in getting hard baits and lures.Either the light was in my eyes or what I was looking at was in shadows. I even began using my carry light...lighting may have been good for shoe shopping but it was impossible for me to see the colors and details in the lures I was looking at. Shame as Dicks has decent prices and I needed to get a bunch for tomorrow...theres another Dicks on the way outta town but selection is never as good as Buckheads. Oh well....
Well, as I am very new to Georgia, just sold home Im southern California, purchased in Roswell, I was advised, Generally, everyone, Actually has Manners, whereas in So. Cal. Noone cares. Not the attitude reflected back by staff. Requested info. Whether my Calif. Drivers license etc., would suffice to purchase a new handgun. I might as well of been asking for the ownership of the store. Almost, but not quite, zero information offered. I will make a point to nit return to that Dicks, weapons dept. Again. Only thing is; maybe staff had some issue with retired disabled Air Force, ? No idea.
Today I ran in on my break for soccer cleats for my son. My first time here escalator broken...no sign and everyone restocking and not helping. His store is overstocked and too many fall hazards to count. I asked for a manager Andy they called him on the headset and he looked at me and kept talking to another customer. I explained Im on my break and he looks occupied in casual conversation. I left without speaking to him. However I believe I was a bet too tanned for his preference to rush to assist. I will not shop here again and I love my son way too much to disappoint him to not have his Messi cleats for his game.
WORST CUSTOMER SETVICE. April 14th approx at 1:30 myself and my 17yr old daughter went into Dicks to purchase a $20 volleyball and then head across the street to our 2pm movie. When we got to register to pay with $100 bill (only currency I brought) the young lady proceeds to tender me out then realized she has no change. So she proceededs to ask the lady whose training another cashier and says Do you have change for a $100 cause her bill is ONLY $16.49 ... The response was No and looked at me very annoyed. Now at this point a line is forming as its been about 5-7 mins of no one figuring out how to give me $80 between 4 cash registers open. My cashier radios for a manager and repeats about 4 times how shes needs change cause my bill is ONLY $16.49 and how I gave her $100. Now ppl in line our whispering (cleary annoyed now with me) like how dare I have a large bill !!! I told the cashier that asking for change is one thing but asking for change and throwing in how low my bill was for change and all the etc wasnt warranted. Finally a manager CARLA arrives very unfriendly (its now been 12mins of me standing there) takes my $100 from cashier (instead of walking up with change) and walks to back office. I wait again for another awkward 5 mins. At this point I want to just not walk out but Carla has my $100. As the cashier goesgto radio Carla to see where she was I see her walk up unapologetic for the wait. I got my whopping 4 $20 bills and left. I would not of known a huge department store such as Dicks wouldnt have four $20 bills in their registers. I wish sports authority was back. I will do my very best NEVER TO SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR AT DICKS SPORTING GOODS AND HOPEFULLY SPREAD THE WORD.
I had a TERRIBLE experience at the norcross location with the manager, I called customer support and they sent me to this location (peachtree) and I loved my experience. Clifford the manager, Barry and Sam helped and assisted me with making the right choice and making sure I was a happy customer. They were very respectful, and cheerful! I will shop at this peachtree location again. But I will not shop at norcross location, that lady (the manager) was ignorant and rude!
Be prepared to wait. This is a nice store that is extremely poorly run. Expect at least 20 minute lines and not because it’s busy. They have 2 cashiers on a Saturday afternoon and this is how it always is. Pretty disappointed but it’s really the only sporting good store in buckhead
I dont have any complaints. I rarely go here and itll have to be the sporting goods store to go to since Sports Authority closed down. Nonetheless, they are very clean and service is mediocre. Help on the salesfloor can be scarce, or non-existent. The store is huge and it can be an inconvenience if you dont know where everything is and youre looking on all three floors for one item.
Spent some time trying to find an item, then spent some more time to find an employee to ask, then ended up finding the item after not finding an employee. Not sure if its because there werent employees around or if its cause the store is so big. At least it had what I was looking for.
Awful awful awful customer service. After placing an online order that I needed to get exchanged for a different size they had me stand in a line about 20 deep just to make the exchange. I spoke with the manager and she couldnt care less. They have no customer service whatsoever
Ive had two horrible customer experiences at this store. The first time I thought it was the busy holiday season. I worked with a cashier who obviously would rather be anywhere but at the store. The manager was rude and dismissive and the staff couldnt even figure out how to do a return on an item. Very unprofessional.
Wish that i could leave 0 stars !! This is the worst customer service i have ever received in my life!!! Lynn is old and racist and was extremely rude from the time we walked in the store. I drove over an hour to get serviced here and when i tried to speak with the manager on the poor customer service, she practically pretended like she would fix it but my concerns were the least of her worries ! Racist old white man !!! Don’t support this store!
I had the pleasure today Im stopping by the Lenox store for the first time I was looking 4 knee brace met Rachel one of the supervisors she took me to the area help me pick out and try on the brace I was looking for she was pleasant courteous and knowledgeableShe she then directed me to some Under Armour gear I was looking for stayed and talked to the whole process held my merchandise while I toured the store which was awesome she also happened to be at the checkout counter and help me find my bonus card informationThe store was great the people were courteous and it will become my default Sports store keep up the good work
Everything is a mystery price. They have SALE and buy one get one 50% off signs everywhere but you don’t know what is actually on sale because there is no designated sale rack and everything is mixed in chaotically. You don’t realize this until you wait 30 minutes in line and everything rings up at full price.
My boyfriend had to buy some boots on a Saturday. There was only ONE person in the entire shoe department! He was working very hard, we felt bad for him. I found a pair of shoes and needed help but didnt have time to wait behind 15 customers so I sat right there and ordered off Amazon for same price.
Today at 6:15 pm I visited the store located in Lennox Mall at Buckhead, GA. I went there to buy supplies for the people of Puerto Rico who were affected by Hurricane Maria. I was first in another location and got sent to the Lennox sore because the product I was looking for, O2 Cool 10” fan. I drove to the Lennox store and went straight to customer service and was attended by an employee that was disrespectful to me. I was inquirying for the product that was “on hold” for me. She said “we didn’t hold it because you didn’t say the color of the fan”. When I told her that where it was located in the store she just told me to take the elevator and look for it.She didn’t have the courtesy of helping me find it neither on the computer nor the store. Her actions were not the best specially when people need help in hard situations, it hurts when someone treats you that way.
Besides the fact that Dicks Sporting Goods is always a great place to stop for whatever you need from hunting camping fishing to any sport you can name this facility is one of the most beautiful commercial spaces in the entire Atlanta area which actually won a number of awards for its architecture
I ordered a ping pong table from Dicks, and their delivery service would only deliver on Tuesdays 1-5pm. I work for a living, like a normal person, and yet they refused to offer any other time. The service keeps going back and forth with Dicks as to how they were going to handle the situation, but both sides refuse to cooperate. It has now been a month, and my $500 ping pong table is being held hostage in some warehouse. I will never order anything again from Dicks.
Im a proud gun owner believing in upholding the 2nd Amendment, however I was offered no help whatsoever in their Hunting Department. I only wanted a Mossberg shotgun because shooting is a hobby of mine. I really felt as if I was profiled before I even approached the counter. Bad experience for a man of color. Will never come back!!!
Terrible service. Not one person to be found in the store to help me. I finally asked a girl and she informed me she works for a line, not the store. Escalator was broken. Online they said the item I was looking for was in the store. Ridiculous service as in zero. Ill continue to shop online...but SOMEWHERE ELSE! TERRIBLE WASTE OF MY TIME..

2022-04-01This is the biggest sporting goods store around here. That is a plus because they have a ton of gear but it doesnt lend to the best customer service because its hard to find what your looking for and getting help. All in all I had a good experience.

2022-03-26I would rather shop anywhere else. Checking out at this store is the king of overstimulation. Not only do you hear the loud music playing from the rest of the store while checking out, but there is a speaker playing some sort of sport talk or something. The cashier could not hear a word I was saying, and it had nothing to do with my mask. It was all the noise the corporation throws at its customers.I felt so bad for him. He also had an earpiece in his ear of store chatter.It was absurd. And an awful way to treat customers.Go elsewhere!

2022-02-22I had to carry my nephews backpack along with my work bag and I was very disappointed on how the employees looked and stared at me as if I was trying to steal from the store. How do I know this, because one employee glanced at my bag and got on the radio and as I was looking my way to the front both females that was at the cash register looked and stared at me then. I think its rather disappointing that the customers, and I said customers because I have purchased from here, are not being trusted. It made me feel so uncomfortable, that I left the store after getting the store managers name. The incident occured between 1800hrs and 1814hours. Monique was the only who was really helpful at this point. Thank you for reading Mr. Elias.

2022-06-02Went looking for a certain speedo bathing suit that was online. They were supposed to have it in the store according to their web. I went and asked for help, they didnt have it and the employee left. He didnt even offered to order it for me. I saw the staff talking to each other instead of helping customers.

2022-03-26I’m a runner in the marathon world majors from lovely Ireland 🇮🇪 I wanted to purchase my pair of runners from this store. I wanted to buy the pair I tried on (my last size was on the mannequin). The sales assistances refused to take the second shoe off for me to try on. So I headed 8 mile West to the other Dick’s store and they couldn’t do enough for me! Go to the other store instead please, save yourself misery, money and mistreatment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe they didn’t like the Irish 🤷🏻♀️ Makes a first!

2022-02-02Working here is the worst decision you could make. The staff is passive aggressive, unhelpful and catty. Expect some of your coworkers to not have your best interest either, everyone may act or seem nice at first but it’s all a facade. It starts off as a pleasant experience and gradually the staffs true colors start to show. A 30 minute break is the longest break you’ll get working here also. Do yourself a favor and search elsewhere for employment. You deserve better.
