Bad experience. 3 teenagers didnt know anything about soccer shoes. I need soccer shoes for indoor games.They only point me on the direccion of shoes, he said all the way back. I ask the third employee, about the size of the shoes and he said You have to look for it.I took the display shoe, and said Did you have this, and he said maybe not, just look in the shelves. I found the only size 5 for my son. They were chatting. No training at all.The only one to know about was the cashier who answer my questions.
Prior experience at this store, I opened a mens shoe box to find used gross sticky bra pads that who knows how they made there way there but that tells me inventory isnt really checked on.Recent experience, I went to the tent sale over the weekend and found the selection to be poor and overpriced. Despite that, what really shocked me was the restroom, to my surprise I went into the womens restroom with TWO overly clogged toilets in which I guess a staff member found it best to lock one of the stall doors rather than resolve the problem. This is a time where being clean and sanitary should be 100% a priority and getting checked hourly and this store definitely LACKED!!!!
WOW! Had to deal with a hostile, mean-faced, Cashier with a nasty, aggressive attitude towards the customers for no reason! She yelled across the register area to demand customers for their personal information. Felt like I wasnt in an East Cobb store. She acted very annoyed to have to actually do work, had a frown and GLARING eyes at us during the entire checkout process. Never showed an ounce of appreciation for customers whose business/money allows her to get a paycheck. I should have just paid the extra $10 to ship my order to my home! This was the worst Retail experience ever. Dicks, at least you got the name right! Corporate really needs to secret shop this location to see whats really going on. The items also look too perfectly stocked on the shelves, probably because there are no customers touching or buying it. Ghost Town. More inventory in the store, than customers. No lights on the exterior store logo; it was pitch black one hour before closing time.

This location usually has enough associates to help cover each department but lately there seems to be less people willing to help out. They normally have what I went in for but I also pick up other items that catch my eye when the pricing is good. Overall, this is our go-to place and were happy with merchandise, people, and prices.... Most of the time, anyway.
Your expectations have to be in-line ... its a big box stores with many items overpriced. But I found everything I needed, and got excellent help from three separate employees. If you are willing to dog for deals, there are some there. But o lastly appreciated the knowledgeable and courteous staff.
After passing 3 employees within the first 20 minutes of me entering, none if them asked if I needed help with anything. They were not helping anyone else. They were just walking up and down the aisles.The cashier was very pleasant and super happy when we checked out. Because of that, I made my review 3 stars instead of 1.
I wanted to buy something for $700 from them and on their web site they offer a 10% discount if you sign up for their e-newsletter. So I signed up and received no discount or email. So I called them and they said it takes 10 days before they send you the email discount! Who else does this? So I tried to reason with them that I want to buy something now and would like the discount now. They would not do it. I will take my business elsewhere.

Clean, organized floor. Great sales prices. Not enough diversity in kids bicycle sizes, nor bicycle helmet sizes (couldnt find one to fit my 7 nor 3 year old). Also, waited at least 15 minutes before an employee came along who could help me.
Not to expensive great things . A good amout of variety. And guves you 3% in rewards back of any purchase once you apply for a scorecard !!!
Good customer service at the front but bad at the shoe section. I ordered shoes online that ended up being too small. I went into the store and the nice young lady helped me and said for me to see if they have the right shoes in my size. So I went back to the shoe section and it seemed that the guy working back there was more concerned about the ladies in the store than me. Also more concerned about the ladies that work there. He walked past me as I was trying to ask him a question but I guess he didnt hear me and kept walking past me.
Every single employee had a mask on their head, but none of them were covering their noses or mouths. One employee I spoke to actually took her mask off to speak to me. They clearly care little about the communitys health.Additionally, I came here to buy hiking shoes. Not only was their selection incredibly small, but I found the shoe I wanted at REI for almost $20 less online. Theres no reason to shop here now except for convenience.
Great place to get any sporting goods and team apparels. Online has more selections but the store has tons of basic items. Staff are friendly when you can find them. This location doesnt have adequate staff all the time. If you know what you want then you can get in and out pretty fast. Checkout is always pretty fast. The best time to come is first thing in the morning!
The staff are wonderful, and the selection is great for everything except they dont carry petites. (Otherwise, I would rate them 5 star, for sure).

My husband, Francisco Marquezini, and I both a bike yesterday (11/23/19) at Dicks located at Roswell Rd. We’ve never had such kind service as done by Joseph from the bike and fitness department. He professionally knew the products and he has special sales skills “customer focus”. Congratulations for the excellent service and so talent employee.
After trying to see if my credit card had activated or not while buying my boxing gloves the employee behind the cash register yelled it got declined. She claimed it was a joke, but thats incredibly rude regardless. This will be the last time I spend my money at a DSG.
Slow, unapologetic, and not the least bit helpful. After waiting four days to get a tennis racquet restrung, it still was not ready. No apology or explanation offered. I go to pick up my racquet and ask for a refund for the string and service. The cashier is angry and clueless as to how to process my transaction. So we wait... finally someone else is available to show her how to ring it up. More angry mumbling and receipts being thrown at me to sign. Finally, I get my money back and am free to go. Apology? No. Thanks? No. Explanation? No.
We stopped by to try and find an Atlanta Braves World Series shirt and did as they have gotten in a new supply.
The store is super hot inside, turn the ac on, but they do have good stuff. They are contributing to the herd mentality, no more guns...I will go somewhere else
I love this place. Theyre knowledgeable on the local area Local eats treats and fun places to see. Krista at checkout was very knowledgeable in the sunglasses she help me decide on which pair of Costas to go with. She was very beautiful and very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this place for all your Sporting Goods needs
Very poor customer service and what was funny is that the guy working in the basketball ect area actually walked to the register to hide, just so I wouldnt ask him any questions....smh Then when I got to the register there were 3 open registers with 7 people behind the counter talking, but get this only 2 people were checking out customers...It was like I didnt even exist. Finally when I got to a register after 15min of standing there wondering why none of the other 5 would acknowledge me or ring me up , I was asked did I find everything ok, and I said no the cashier just laughed and rung me up with an awkward silence... after spending $107 he then says sorry you feel that way ...WOW! Wont ever be going back to that location if not for needing the items immediately probably wouldve left them on the shelf and kept my cash until I was able to get to a more friendly and helpful location that appreciated my business. True definition of Dicks without the apostrophe!
I love Dicks. However the Marietta store stopped giving a military discount. I shop a lot at Dicks, for running gear and usually all my Christmas shopping is from there. But since you no longer give the discount, I will drive the extra miles to Kennesaw, where they do, for my shopping. I prefer to shop in my neighborhood, but I must go where I can get the best price.
Can be a little overpriced when buying on sale but store is fun to browse and has a great selection of outdoors, sports equipment, exercise equipment, and athletic clothing. Staff is friendly when available. Be sure to check the return policies before buying. i.e. paintballs are considered ammo and arent allowed to be returned even if unopened.
Store is well stocked and in a good location. Staff was less than friendly as they approached closing time. Just wanted to get me out the door as fast as possible.
We bought my teen son a BMX bike here for his birthday last October. Hes really, really tough on bikes, and weve had to take this one in for repair several times already. The latest one was a broken rear wheel axel. Joseph, the bike tech, ordered us a new one, but the supplier took weeks to ship it, and it ended up being the wrong wheel. They sent the front wheel instead of the rear wheel, even though it was clearly labeled RW. When we brought it in just now to reorder the correct rear wheel, Joseph realized that it had literally been over a month to replace a $50 wheel, so he took the rear wheel off of an identical bike in stock, and handed it to my son. Problem. Solved. Folks, thats how you win a customer.
Got transferred three times when I called about a merchandise question... Each of the four times they answered they wanted to know how to direct my call. Im a pretty patient person, but it was about two minutes between answers and I wasnt confident I was waiting on the right person... Could use to improve or streamline their phone answering procedure.
Google Maps indicated that they had Patagonia but I couldnt find any when I went. I found North Face but the section was so disorganized I just left and went to a Patagonia retailer. Otherwise, they have a good product mix.

Good luck getting help at this location, sub par service and limited stock, I would recommend the Perimeter location for better service and product availability. Three stars because Ive been wanting a sporting goods store in the area for some time.
Great store with a great selection had a small problem when we found a security tag on one of the clothing items we purchased. I took it back a week later with my receipt and they removed it without issue.
One question. What ever happened to 100% cotton? Otherwise .... Everyone friendly and helpful. Had what we were looking for in stock.

Long lines with 2 cashiers seems to be the norm at this location. Ultimately walked out after standing in line for 10 mins and watch a cashier move 2 shopping carts then steam a baseball glove.
Customer service was terrible. The employees don’t have a good foundation of what they’re actually selling.

Every store is different layout so call before you waste your time going to a store that doesnt carry what they offer for in-store pickup. Garbage!
There was not a single employee on the floor. It took me 15 minutes to find a simple thing that was hidden in a plane view and only after I grabbed a cashier.Avoid if you can help it. Shop online instead.

The guys in the back kept following me around and giving me strange looks. Even after they asked and I told them that I didnt need any help, one of the guys proceeded to come out from behind the counter and stand about two feet away while bouncing a rubber ball and staring at me. He told me to let him know when I needed help. The only reason for two stars instead of zero is the young lady at the register.

I came to this store to buy a few items that were supposedly in stock to find out they were not. This store is 30 minutes away from the store closest to my house. Waste of time.

2022-05-31I love Dick’’s employees and the store is always clean. 6 out of the last 7 times we have gone there to buy shoes they are out. They never have any inventory. They always say we can order them but so can I from my living room.

2021-12-24Id say that the staff there treated me very well , they were informative and helpful. The Manager also was kind and helpful as well, I was there early this morning at opening doing last minute Christmas shopping and Im glad I decided to go there . It was a really nice experience and Ill be shopping there at the East Marietta Store more often !

2021-11-22This location is okay. Stock is somewhat limited, I often find myself driving to the Kennesaw location even though Im very close to the East Cobb location. During a recent trip, the guy in the bikes/ fitness section was really rude. Also, theres no hunting gear/clothing.

2020-09-24Poor service and communication from the billing staff. Dont they know the basic knowledge to communicate and bring my online order rather than ignoring me and made me wait for 20 minutes and then tell some one to bring my order? Dont they get a basic training in their job? The best part is after I told Im waiting for 20 minutes, the billing staff is joking/chatting with other staff and never worried about my wait time or whos bringing my order. Ill never purchase anything from this store.

2021-06-19We went and got a bike tune up and nothing changed. The bike had absolutely nothing changed about it. We paid 55 dollars for nothing. The manager said that you had to specify if you want them to pay attention to something, which we did, and they did nothing. The gears and brakes are broken and they didnt do anything. Dont recommend at all. 1/10 experience.

2021-09-165 stars for the white guy that helped us with the fishing pole. Zero for the 2 black girls upfront that couldn’t open the drawer to get some scissors. The white guy not only got the scissors but gave us one.

2020-12-19Came to buy work boots (keen) and comfortable athletic shoes. Once the guy in the shoe department realized I wear a weird size (12 wide) he avoided me like the plague. No help whatsoever. I brought $500 to drop at this store today. I have come to this location for two or three years now. Never again. I hate to do it but Amazon just took this customer from them because of bad service.

2021-08-31Selection is terrible for football and baseball gear for adult age. Almost always out of popular sizes. Other than that it’s a convenient and nice store.

2020-08-19Very friendly and helpful staff. They greet you at the door. We were doing some baseball shopping for my new little leaguer. We found everything we needed along with a couple of things we did not. Some of the items were pricey. They lost one star due to that and the fact that it was hard to find the price of a couple of things. Kids are expensive :)
