Dirt Cheap in other cities:
Definitely good prices. I think it can be sort of overwhelming because theres so much merchandise and the shopper must have a desire to treasure hunt. Theres got to be a way to organize this store better. Management should seek outside professional help in regard to organizing the store for a better experience for the consumer.
Dirt cheap was okay. It was seriously not as organized as in the past. Definitely can see a difference in things and how the store is ran. It is even difficult for the cashiers from what I saw, having to key each item instead of being able to key in a quantity when its the same price. I found some deals but it was alot of trash for sale, broken items being sold for 50.00 and up.
I personally love this store because I enjoy great deals. The prices are awesome, but you do have to do a lot of digging if youre looking for underwear. Its not the most organized place, but youll love it if you enjoy bargain hunting. You never know what you may find here.
Edna is hands down the best employee this store has! I shop here very often and prior today I’ve never had a cashier even acknowledge my existence. Edna is so kind, personable and a huge asset to your company. The store overall isn’t clean or organized but that’s the thrill of the store. It’s a hunt for a deal!
Found some stuff we could use. It was a bit messy to find stuff. Not really as much of a bargain as you would expect by seeing most of the merchandise. Could probably give a deeper discount. Example vitamins marked $16 so even at 40%-50% off you still pay the same price as in most stores. So not really a discount. If you need pieces to pieces of things this is your spot. Other than that it was good. Staff was very friendly. Checkout was ok. Their system does not allow you to ring up any additional items once cashier hots total. Found that out the hard way & had to ring up one item by its lonesome!!!
Its just so dirty and gross. The bathrooms are absolutely horrendous. The womans restroom looks like it hasnt been cleaned in a couple years, its probably a hazard. Im glad I did not use the bathroom. The items are normal overpriced and already broken. And its insanely unorganized. Youll have better luck at the Auburn location.
Today I went to the Milgen Road Dirt Cheap, as I do at least twice a week. Today business was not as usual but was very up beat ,warm and rewarding. Today the store manager Ms. Stacy was out on the floor. Spreading Holiday wishes among the customers, interacting with all. She and her floor staff was greeting and extending Holiday wishes to all that was shopping. It was military Monday but we all was included in the joy And cheers. I am a front line worker, that was tired and weary when I arrived however when I left I was praising God for a stress free moment of joy wrapped in small acts of kindness and words that lifted my spirit. All of us being a diverse group shared a much needed moment together ... without feeling the “us and them shadow”that the world has been feeling for a while. Again please pass this message on to this Store Manager for taking the time to share the joy. Thanks again and may God bless each one of them.Mrs. BeBe. A regular customer made to feel special.
Just wanted to say that Stacy at the Columbus store went way above an beyond for us. She helped us get the carts through the tricky door and then helped us get to the car with our carts during the break in rain. She is what customer service is all about! Cheers to her and the rest of the rest of the staff as they were also very nice and respectful, unlike other locations I have visited.
When dirt cheap first opened, it was fun. The last couple of times have been a let down. It seems they increase the prices on many things before they discount them. They had a lot of home items I would like to have purchased, but you cant exactly test a chandelier, and paying over a few bucks for something in this store is a complete waste of money due to the no returns policy.Be super careful and test everything before you buy. While your at it, check with Google for the original price before you leave the store. Now, they often have incredible deals on cleaning supplies, brand name hair products, and laundry detergent. The store is quite dirty, unorganized, and just a hot mess in general. Be ready to take your time when you go. If you get overwhelmed in thrift stores, this might not be the place for you. If you enjoy digging through piles of junk and taking your time to find a deal, head to dirt cheap.I only have three stars because the prices have been laughable the last two times I was there, and its visibly dirty. The employees are as helpful as you can realistically expect.
A little cluttered and none of the clothes I looked at had prices on them. I only went in there cause I forgot my gym clothes and was hoping to find something quick and cheap. Cheap yes, but it wasnt quick. Only go in here if youre in the mood for picking thru clothes and have the time. They have other items too such as housewares. Remember the name, you get what you pay for.
For the most part, this store is as the name eludes to. Many items are cheaper than department store prices. They make up for the low costs by limited staff and a no return policy. Shelves and bins are often disheveled. Many holiday items are 70%-90% off. Do not expect high quality but there are some fun/cute items. Expect to take some time to sort through the clothes to find the size/item you need. Some clothes are price as marked, others have large discounts; it can be difficult to tell the difference, until scanned at the register. If you are skilled at remembering average prices for individual items, you can score some great deals. Otherwise, you may pay more on some things, as there is an illusion on some of the sales. Its not very clean or well-organized, but if you have some time and patience- this may be the store for you.
They sure have good prices but it seems to me that you have to go through all things one per one to find what you want or like..clothes is sorted and placed in no logical way... There are boards and tags marking zones like shirts/sport/sleepwear and also size areas... You just really dont find those things there... Not even the proper clothes size according to the tag on the hanger itself😒 have time and dig deep to get something. We did not even try to find something on shelves as all looked like total mess there.
There are some amazing prices to be found here if youre willing to put the time and effort in to find them. I understand its the nature of the store, but the disorganization can sometimes lead to a frustrating experience. Overall its a great place to find a deal as long as you dont mind burning time digging through racks and shelves.
Went for interview, great experience, went for urine test, background. Never heard back, went right to another job interview next day and got the job, so it wasnt my bkgrnd or urine, it was the unprofessional store manager who probably got someone cheaper. But thats fine, they dont pay well and the store is a mess.
Good selection , Prices however store is messy making shopping a hard task at times. I feel like non return policy should be excluded from items that can not be tested in the store for example i was interested in a stackable washer and dryer however I could not test it in the store associates wasnt sure if it worked but was firm about there was no refunds or store credit if it didnt work once i bought it. I also recommend store hours should match other stores in shopping center which is 9pm
After hearing good reviews from others, my experience at Dirt Cheap was disappointing to say the least. The store looked like a dumpster that you have to dig through to find whatever youre looking for. I found a slipper shoe I liked but I do have two feet. I dont think I will return. Ollies is so much more organized!
This store sells things returned, unable to sell or discontinued items from other stores. If your into searching/hunting for deals this place is for you. Download the app itll help with prices if marked. Newly stocked or just came in store save your time most is basically retailer prices. There is those times when you find hidden treasures though.****Watch out not the best area of town. Saw men chasing after one another with guns. One took off and the other ran into Dirt Cheap. Be careful
LOVE this store. You can really get some good steals if you look good enough. Bought 3 kids costumes for $2 total for Halloween. Also a great pre lit tree for Christmas for $8. Cant beat it. Some days they really dont have that good of stuff, just depends when you go.
They owe me gas money. I felt like I had walked in on them filming an episode of hoarders. To be fair, they did have a crew there doing their inventory but no store should be that unorganized. Lastly, ending on a positive note, after quickly browsing the store I did find what I needed after all...the exit. 😃
Love, love, love, dirt cheap! Most people say its unorganized but it has gotten allot better. There is a cashier by the name of Brianna whim is absolutely amazing. She is one of the few whom is knowledgeable of her prices, letters, and codes, without looking at a paper or calling someone. As long as she is there I am shopping for hours.
Very cluttered and messy, things were thrown all over the place. Most things I saw werent that nice. Kinda got the feeling Id get bed bugs if I even touched the clothes. They did have area rugs at great prices though, its just hit or miss if there will be any you like. Im sure you can find good things at great prices, you just need time and patience to sort through everything.
The store is a hot mess, even for a discount type store. Compare it Ollies right next store, which is neatly organized and clean. The deals werent that great and it was hard to find anything in the mess. Lots of items were broken and missing parts. You might find a great a deal here once in a while, but if youre a regular sale shopper, youll see a lot of the items here arent cheaper than you could find online with a decent discount code or sale - but theyre also banged up and all sales are final. Be prepared to hunt for items and double check everything before you buy.
Love love love this store super cheap. But you will have to take your time to look around but theyre great finds there. Like a treasure hunt. Dont expect to run in and run out. But worth every second to me. I get email alerts that keep me current on the latest deals and sales!
This place is hit or miss with items. It is very unorganized. The prices are great, just have to check to make sure it’s not broken or used. I’ve noticed a lot of stuff is an overstock from Target and other local department stores. I drive by this place all the time, so i drop in often to see if i find something new. Here are a few pics of items i have found.
This place has some good deals although it looks kinda like a good will but wears. You have to search through so much stuff just to find anything good. They have no return policy so if you dont check it before you leave you are out of luck. They also have buggies full of stuff for 10 bucks and you might find something good and you might not just have you take a chance.
While you can find some great deals here, you can also pay retail or higher for some items if your not carefull. Store is usually messy with little to no orgainization being done. Shelves are filled like the Goodwill and some, not all of the items have prices on them.
I dont understand the good reviews.Items are marked up (example medium sized stuffed animal 43.00) and then you have no clue what the price of the overpriced item is.Take it to the register to find the toy is still 17.99 after the amazing discount. The toy was worth 10.00 at most!I dont see how these salvage items are dirt cheap. The store looks like a dumping ground for junk.It is frustrating at most.If you want a frustrating experience while shopping, I highly recommend.I prefer a more organized experience with prices clearly marked without tripping hazards everywhere.Hated it.
If yall had a group of stars well below the one star I gave them - that is where they should be. What a mess, been there twice - my wife and I thought we would give them one more chance. What a mistake that was; it was a bigger mess the second time. To make it worse, their competitors are right next door. Yep, Ollies is next door and they are always fully stocked, store is clean filled with great bargains and I have never seen any out of date food items at Ollies which seems to be the norm for Dirt Cheap.
What a MESS!! But then again, thats kinda what you expect. Good deals, weird items, you just never know what you will find. Pretty good place for a scavenger hunt for sure or to kill time on a lazy saturday. They have pretty cool off brand shoes. They alsp have different types of over the counter medication but they always seem to be expired.!!!GREAT SCHOOL SUPPLIES CAN BE FOUND!!!I do believe that they have a no refund policy. I cant remember at this moment. I hope somebody can confirm that for me.
Unbelievable deals. Bought a four stroke weed eater for 35.00. Took a chance for parts I could use on one I already owned. The one from Dirt Cheap ran better than one I already owned. Make sure and test anything you buy there. These are store returns and damaged goods. Wish we had one closer to where we live.
Waited and looked for someone to show up at the register so I could pay. One worker saw me and turned around and walked to the back. Left my stuff at the register that no one was at and left the store. How do they make sure people are not stealing if there is no one even near the front of the store?! Won’t waste my time to come back to this location.
The prices are low, however, its very confusing to understand how much something is, until you check out. I stopped an employee to ask how the system worked. So, she looked at what I had in my hand which was a plain t-shirt, it was priced at $6, she told me it would be $1. I, then asked her about the pajama pants, that most were marked $10..she said most all of them priced at $10 would be less than $2. So, I got 2 pj pants and that t-shirt..when I checked out, the pants rang up at $3 and $3.40..my t-shirt rang up $5..so, I was expecting my total to be @ $5... according to the employees words..I ended up putting one of the pj pants back and got the shirt and the other pj pants..my total was right under $10..Also, BEWARE: you cant go here for a quick stop, nothing is in any kind of order, sizes arent together..I even found girls clothes in with the womens clothes...so, along with no specific set-up, so you know where to look for what you came for, having to look at everything to find the size, look for the price and then try to read and figure out the puzzle of what its going to cost.. expect to be here awhile..ALSO, no returns or exchanges..all sales final!! They did have nice name brand shoes that were priced well, when you think about the cost at a big Dept store.
When I walked it, I immediately wanted to walk out again. The place was a mess with very little organization. Things were items thrown everywhere and the floor was a mess. I did find a few things of interest that I did buy, but not enough to make me want to ever go back.
Some pricing is spot on being cheap but not everything is priced or as cheap as you think .I paid $0.10 for a pair of socks grab another from the same bin that was $3.40 without thinking. Then thinking the old candy would be cheap it was $0.90 for a old plastic Easter egg with a few jelly beans.
Great place...great stuff...and great prices...but what I love best is the app...it has a price scan option...genius...why dont all stores have this??? Other stores have scanners in a few places...you have to search the store to find one...and then you have to hope that the one you found works (usually they dont)...and if they dont you have to hunt down an employee or what for a price check at the register...but not Dirt Cheap...you scan yourself...from the app on your phone...wherever you are in the store...no hunting down a scanner only to find it doesnt work...you know right then what the price is...Dirt Cheap you have a customer for life!!!
This store has rat piss and droppings all over the produces. We tryed to test the a produce and they stopped us. Then it didnt have a charger to it so we asked about it, the associate grabbed it and said she was going to throw it away anyways. Smh worst dirt cheap ever.
This place is a joke i purchased a dress on 4_27 got home and it was the wrong size i took it back and all i wanted was to get a bigger size the manger said no i had just left the store i go there at lest 2 a week but no more its junkie you cant really fine anything so you all have lost a loyal customer from Columbus ga

2022-06-29What happened to this place, it used to have good deals and quality merchandise, but now the as new price is marked high and the discount is only 30 percent. For instance: Pop figures were previously 50% off for $9.99. Now they are priced at $11.99, at 30% discount. Please note that these are liquidated boxes. I believe the pandemic caused them to lose their contracts. I will not return here.

2022-05-30I like it. Its where you can get a good deal on something but not pay full price. The store itself can look a little dumpy though. Also I wish they would just mark the price on the item so you know what you have to pay at the register

2019-12-17I’m going to say it now-this place is fantastic for young children’s items. Sure, things are scattered, boxes are worn, some items may be missing from an open box and but hey-the prices cannot cannot cannot be beat. So many good finds, and if the kids break it-was only 5.00 so you’re not kicking yourself. The employees are very nice and helpful. Plenty of items and toys and shoes with the Target logo still on the box.

2021-11-24It’s a discount store because what they receive are usually damaged goods, but they don’t discount them enough. They had a gaming chair worth like $130+, discounted it by like 40 bucks or something, but it’s broken.. it needs to be much cheaper if it’s broken. Also, this is what the place looks like.

2022-04-19Dirt Cheap: I agree with the name. But a gold nugget can be found if you are willing to look through all the cheap. That nugget is waiting for you to pick it up, so visit your nearest Dirt Cheap.

2022-04-12I give one star only because I actually found something not used and filthy for the first time. Staff is horrible, no help, I stood at register for ever it felt like before staff finally came. Place looks like hurricane Katrina ran through it! If you don’t have time or patience, don’t go!

2022-05-06Staff is rude to customers management is a joke , prices are too expensive for damage & expire items corporate definitely needs to look into reviews on this location .
