I’ve had several occasions to need the services of a physical therapy facility since I’ve lived Athens the past 6 years. The first time I did not go to East Athens Physical Therapy, the experience was not pleasant, and I did not complete the prescribed course of recommended therapy. Each time I’ve needed physical therapy since then I’ve gone to East Athens Physical Therapy. The facility is welcoming, clean, well equipped, and most importantly staffed with friendly professional people, both office and therapy personnel. The therapists are quite obviously well trained, attentive, and care about their clients, and their progress and well being. Im currently about to finish six weeks of therapy for my shoulder, and should I have to seek therapy in the future, i will definitely go back to East Athens Physical Therapy, and highly recommend it for anyone who needs their services.
Chris and his crew at East Athens Physical Therapy are very professional. But, also very personable and treat you with respect. They make you feel welcome from the moment that you walk through the door. I would recommend them to anyone that needs help getting rid of their aches and pain. Awesome job performed by all who work there.
Going to physical therapy with all the wonderful personnel at East Athens Physical Therapy has not been something I dreaded; each visit was enjoyable. I always felt that each person knew me, cared about me, and was invested in my recovery. Everyone met me with a smile, called me by name, asked how I was doing, and overall made me feel important. Whoever worked with me knew my regime and made sure I did all my excercises. They all are quite professional without being impersonal. I hope no more therapy lurks in my future, but if it does, I will be back at East Athens for more of their great care!
I look forward to going to therapy three times a week. Everyone is nice and friendly. I feel like I have known them for more than a few weeks. They listen to you and help anyway they can. They keep the place very clean and sanitized for you too. If you need therapy, I strongly suggest that you try East Athens Physical Therapy. You cant go wrong when people treat you right!
East Athens Physical Therapy is AMAZING! I am so grateful for Rachel and the entire staff. They are professional and compassionate to everyone who comes into their doors. My experience with everyone there was so great and I would highly recommend them to anyone!
I truly enjoy going to East Athens Physical Therapy for regular therapy sessions. My Therapist Rachel is very friendly, she displays great knowledge in her line of work. All the other Therapists at this location work together as a team. Each time I attend a therapy session I can truly feel that my body is healing from the pain it had the day before. Which has truly been a blessing in my life.
Best physical therapy I have experienced.Professional and kind. Kate was always trying to keep me moving forward and remained encouraging.The PT aides were kind and fun to talk with throughout my visit. Ditto the front office staff.All 3 of my children needed PT as they grew up and I have needed some over my 69 years so I feel equipped to judge.I would absolutely return if needed!
I was thankful to find a Physical Therapy office convenienly located on the east side of Athens near my home, which offered the flexibility I needed after knee surgery. Everyone from the front of house, assistants and physical therapists were extremely competent and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and offered a great space to repair and heal my body. The sessions were always friendly and I would recommend this practice to anyone who needed any type of PT .
After having back surgery 8 months ago (and with another one planned in the near future), East Athens Physical Therapy has been absolutely wonderful.Charlie and Annabeth have been kind, supportive, knowledgeable and overall just wonderful to work with. They have helped me understand my limits (including how to listen to my body), what exercises and stretches will help most with my pain and I have gotten considerably better since going there.I have recommended them to everyone I talk to about physical therapy because they go above and beyond to help me. Not only are they amazingly caring, but they really helped me understand my injury and recovery process and even though its been a tough recovery they have helped me every step of the way. They have made all the difference and I couldnt be happier.
In June I had a total hip replacement. I went to East Athens Physical Therapy in Madison Georgia for my therapy. From the start the staff was very knowledgeable about what my specific needs were to recoup from surgery. Every visit I made was a pleasant experience from signing in at the front desk to doing the physical therapy itself. The staff paid attention to what I was doing and kept the flow going. I would definitely recommend East Athens Physical Therapy to anyone needing therapy.
The staff are courteous and professional. I had excruciating back and leg pain and I received relief the very first visit of physical therapy without drugs at East Athens Physical Therapy (Athens, GA). These therapists are great.
I have done PT here twice. Once when I tore my labrum in my shoulder, and the other when I was dealing with a pinched nerve in my back for five months. Both times, I have come out of here stronger than before my injury. The team is great about helping you follow a regimen to get you back to greater strength than before. Make sure you do your at-home exercises!
After hip surgery, I chose East Athens Physical Therapy for my transition to complete health. Ive been to other facilities and was unprepared for the excellence I found. My treatment was individualized, the facility was very clean and I was treated with superb care. I immediately began to see positive results; therefore, I rate them as a 5 star facility!
East Athens Physical Therapy has a wonderful, helpful staff! They go above and beyond to work with your schedule to get the appointments that work best for you. Megan is thorough and handles scheduling and billing effectively. All the therapists are knowledgeable and professional. The facility is very clean and organized.
East Athens PT is easily the friendliest and most welcoming physical therapy office of the many i have been to! They are extremely understanding with rescheduling appointments, easy to contact, and always friendly! The physical therapists and PTAs are personable and genuinely invested in your health and progress. I cant say enough good things about my time here!
I had 6 wks of physical therapy for my shoulder. East Athens has the best Physical Therapists that I have ever seen. Mike, Chris, Russell and everybody else were kind, considerate, thoughtful and very professional. They helped me with my exercises and my shoulder is getting better. I would recommend them to anyone that needed physical therapy. They all are AWESOME!
Chris and the staff at East Athens Physical Therapy really know their stuff! I had been warned that recovery from rotator cuff was long and difficult and it was nice to have friendly, knowledgeable staff to explain what to expect and encourage me when I felt I wasnt making progress as fast as I wanted. Thank you all for your help in making it through this rough patch in my life. I was out working in my yard most of the day Saturday and it felt so good to be able to do the things I love!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris and his staff at East Athens Physical Therapy for the excellent care that they took of me. From my first visit at East Athens Physical Therapy, I felt like I was joining a family. They immediately knew me by name, remembered little details about me, and above all else, were extremely attentive to the care of my neck after a car accident. Their location was extremely convenient for me and the receptionist Madison always worked appointments around my crazy work schedule. All of their student techs were so welcoming and professional. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be called back for my appointment. My primary therapist Charlie was extremely qualified, caring, and humorous. He went the extra mile during my visits and though I am a fairly independent patient, he always assured that I was comfortable and had everything that I needed. One of their PTAs, Annabeth, was also wonderful. Instead of just being supplemental to my care, she really added to my over physical therapy experience. Not a day did I enter the office without seeing a huge smile on her face! She always remembered specifics to my case and was attentive to my needs regarding my neck that week. In addition, their facility is simple yet beautiful with a very open work out room enclosed with floor to ceiling windows that made therapy sessions much more relaxing and refreshing! I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for excellent physical therapy care in the Athens, Danielsville, or Madison area, from a compassionate, down to earth, and professional staff!
If you have to do therapy I highly recommend East Athens Physical Therapy. They are a smaller facility so that you dont get lost in the crowd like at other places in town. You get great one on one care, they have a pleasant attitude and I did not meet one person I did not like, they are all great. The care I got was phenomenal. Since I had already missed work time due to surgery they made it easy to schedule late day appointments so I didnt have to miss more work.
The only place that was able to correctly diagnose and treat my hip and back pain. After many visits to the orthopedic and chiropractor with no results I finally tried East Athens Physical Therapy. They paid close attention to everything I was saying and were able to put together a very effective routine for me to heal. After just 3 weeks I felt way better than I had in 4 months. I would highly recommend this office. They listen and truly care about their patients.
The facility is nice, handicapped-accessible and large. The support staff is following strict guidelines for COVID-19 and so are the PTs between clients. The machines, equipment-simple and sophisticated-seem to be adequate to support the therapy needs of the client.The therapy staff is what makes this place shine! Qualified, friendly, encouraging and organized, they assist each other when needed. I have made a lot of progress post-surgery. I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
The place is amazing & has helped me to totally recover from my injury. Charlie Jones put together a fantastic plan for me to follow in the office as well as therapy to do at home. The staff is truly friendly and knowledgeable about their field. Annabeth has been great when I work with her as my therapist. And Katherine, a tech & volunteer, is constantly working and moving! She is so dedicated and I have never seen her take a break.
Absolutely loved my time at East Athens Physical Therapy!!! Everyone there is professional, kind, and extremely helpful. There was not one day that I dreaded going. This office (and especially its staff) is AWESOME. Charlie, my therapist, gave me exercises that within six weeks had relieved much of my pain. The whole staff is helpful, friendly and professional. The environment is impeccable and comfortable. I can give a total and unreserved recommendation for this provider. This place was wonderful! From the assistants to the front desk everyone was always super helpful and nice. Sarah is an amazing PT and helped me with me with my chronic leg pain post car accident. She did a thorough examination and came up with a reasonable plan and gave me only 1 exercise to do at home and it worked!! The weekly visits were also great and showed my progress each session. Highly recommend!

I was diagnosed with a lower back injury. I had terrible pain until I started PT at East Athens Physical Therapy. The staff members were considerate, kind, and truly helpful in healing my injury. I went to PT three times a week and it really helped with my pain and range of motion. Jim Mike and the rest of the East Athens Physical Therapy team are sure to help anyone needing PT. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend them to others!
My daughter Abby broke her ankle and two foot bones during preseason basketball workouts. After eight weeks in a splint and four weeks of intense treatment at East Athens Physical Therapy, she was back at practice doing basketball drills and exercises, and two weeks later, was back on the court in game-ready form! Thanks to Jim Mike for working up a great treatment program for Abby, and to Chris, Charlie, and all the staff members at the Athens location who gave her such good care during her office visits. If my family is ever again in need of PT services, we will definitely come back to East Athens Physical Therapy!
I would highly recommend East Side Therapy if you want achievable results in a friendly and professional environment. Charlie Jones evaluated my injury and addressed all my questions and concerns on the first visit. He created a treatment plan with realistic goals and revisited and tweaked it as necessary. More importantly, I am confident in my ability to maintain progress on my own post therapy. East Side Therapy will meet you where you are and facilitate your best possible result.
I was suffering from daily muscle pain in my rhomboid muscles extending from my thoracic spine to my shoulder blade. I tried numerous methods to relieve this pain from medications to exercises and stretches but nothing seemed to work. The staff at East Athens Physical Therapy then set me up with a new machine called the Neubie which uses electrical pulses to stimulate the nerves and muscles in my problem area. After 3-4 sessions with this device my daily pain had greatly subsided, and after a few more sessions my pain was virtually gone. I am so grateful for the wonderful staff at East Athens Physical Therapy and their willingness to try new and emerging technologies to help their patients. I would highly recommend this device and treatment plan to anyone who may be suffering from chronic muscle pain as it had a very positive impact on my day to day life.
I had pain in my lower back, shoulders, and calves for 5+ years. I tried several different treatments, but did not show much improvement. I went to East Athens Physical Therapy for 4-6 weeks, and amazingly, the pain level reduced each week and I could see a difference! Stephanie and the volunteers were very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend East Athens Physical Therapy to my friends and family!
I recently went to an orthopedic doctor due to pain in my knees. He recommended that I go to a physical therapist to strengthen the muscles around the joint. I actually tried to talk him out of it. He really wanted me to do the therapy so that the joint could be evaluated with an experienced therapist. I decided to go to East Athens PT because it is convenient and I had heard good things about the practice. Donna, the receptionist, scheduled my appointment right away. Stephanie actually did the evaluation and I started 6 weeks of therapy. After about 4 weeks, I fell and injured the other knee. I thought that I would have to return to the orthopedic doctor but Donna talked me into coming there and letting Stephanie evaluate the injury. I could not even bend the knee when I went in to see her. By the time I left she had the joint moving little by little. I actually ended up going to see them 7 weeks due to the injury. Both knees are much better. While I have been going I was also helped by Michael and Dylan. All the people in the office are very kind and professional.
Jim Mike and his crew are wonderful! They were responsible for my therapy on my back as well as my Achilles tendinitis and bone spur. I chose to go to Jim Mike because he is certified in the McKenzie spinal techniques which often can save people from having back surgery. Each person there, from the office staff to the PTs and PTAs were kind and helpful and taught me how to do much of the therapy at home.I would enthusiastically recommend East Athens Physical Therapy Clinic for the highest level of care available in Athens and the surrounding area.

Excellent facility in every way! East Athens PT helped me tremendously with my lower back pain. Jim Mike and staff do a great job of explaining the therapy and goals. Very personal service and I enjoyed being in the smaller setting. Super convenient for those of us on the east-side and in the UGA community. My highest recommendation!
Everyone warned me that recovering from rotator cuff surgery would be difficult and involved. Chris and the staff at the Athens office were concerned about my rehabilitation and pain management. With their help, I know my recovery was with less pain and as fast as I could have hoped for. Everyone in the office was helpful and always concerned about my progress, and Chris tells the best jokes! I could not be more please or satisfied with my recovery and care.
My time at East Athens Physical Therapy (Madison) was well spent in getting my hand back to where i can function day to day at my job. The therapist Jim Mike and Hannah were right on with the type of therapy i needed for my hand. When i was here everyone from the front office to the back was friendly and willing to help, it was fun yet everyone was serious about getting me back to full function. This was my second time attending therapy here and i will definitely be back if need be.
EAPT is absolutely fantastic. I never once felt pressure to do anything that made me uncomfortable which is sometimes very common in a physical therapy setting. The therapists are accommodating, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable! Most importantly, my results have been great. I began with severe neck and shoulder pain from bulging discs and have improved by leaps and bounds. I recommend East Athens PT to anyone who needs physical therapy. Dr. Stephanie Woodall kicks butt!!
This place is great! Jim Mike was amazing and helped me recover so quickly. Lynsey is very sweet and friendly. They always made sure to talk with me about things going on in my life and even work. I have never found the therapists anything but very professional and very friendly at the same time. The reason I didnt give them 5 stars only because they are a small group and do not have the space to have any more equipment or exercise machines, although, they have managed to use their space very well. They are what Id call a neighborhood physical therapy group and they have always had whatever was needed for my physical improvement. Sincerely, Betty Bryson
I have been receiving treatment at East Athens Physical Therapy for a mild stroke which I had in late January. I am very pleased with the physical therapy I am getting, but I attribute much of my success to a machine which they are utilizing in my treatment. It is called a Neubie and I use the Master Reset for 20 minutes at each visit. The sensations follow the system of nerves, in my case, from the neck to the feet. It is marvelous !!! Plus helping to restore the usage of the effected nerves, it is wonderfully relaxing. If they could only add a a warm blanket, I could take a nap. I not only can recommend East Athens Physical Therapy and their wonderful therapists, but the Neubie will become an oldie in the office.
Knee is in terrible shape and causing a lot of pain. With the therapy I received I may be able to hold off getting my knee replaced until next year. The staff were wonderful to work with and when I had to rearrange me appointments there was no blowback from anyone. Great customer service and great therapist.
I did my physical therapy at East Athens PT following total knee replacement surgery in February. I appreciate the personalized treatment and positive attitudes of the therapists. All went well!
I had a big backpacking trip planned and hurt my neck, tossing my kids in the pool about two months before leaving. Completely debilitating pain - as in lie on the floor and not move. After going to Athens Ortho, I ended up at East Athens PT for therapy. Jim Mike diagnosed me, and discovered the diagnosis I had received from Athens Ortho was incorrect. He came up with a plan, and I visited twice a week for a month. Chris was my PT, and I also worked with Brittany, Carey and several others. They were very professional throughout, while also making it fun and relaxed. I actually looked forward to going. After a month, the pain was gone, and I was given some exercises to do on my own to help continue the healing process. I would not have been able to go on the backpacking trip without their help. Highly recommended.
These guys were great! The therapists helped me recover from a bulging disc in what seems like no time compared to how long i had been hurting from it! The office staff was great with working with me and my crazy schedule. All around these people were great to be spending my recovery time with! Thank you guys so much!!
East Athens Physical Therapy provides competent and efficient services. All of the therapist are knowledgeable and encouraging and the overall environment is pleasant and safe (constant disinfecting due to COVID).

At East Athens Physical Therapy in Danielsville, GA, there is a great staff, such as Chris Warren and Carey Crowe. I had a labral tear in my cartilage, so i had surgery back in september. Not only did i have my cartilage repaired, but i had the hip bone shaved and my hip flexors cut. There is no other chain of physical therapy clinics that i would have rather treated me post surgery. Carey and Chris are truly great at what they do.
I cant recommend these guys highly enough. They were friendly, professional and efficient! Would recommend to anyone in need of PT.
This is the second time I have had the need for physical therapy and the second time I have chosen East Athens Physical Therapy. I feel so well cared for and my issue taken care of with the most compassion and knowledge. I would not chose anywhere else for my physical therapy needs.
Rehab for strained hip flexor has been very successful, allowing me to compete in a marathon that was in doubt a month ago when I began therapy with their guidance. The whole team at the Madison office was supportive, encouraging, and interested in my progress.

These folks are great. They helped me heal up from many running injuries swiftly & safely. Because of them, I am injury-free & training well for my next marathon coming up. I would recommend them to anyone, especially athletes+runners.

I need overall strength conditioning and endurance in my fight against MS. The staff at EAPT treated me wonderfully and attended to my training needs while providing a pleasant atmosphere. After having another ankle injury away from home, I was referred to this location for physical therapy. It was a great decision, and my therapist, Russell, was fantastic all the time. Really friendly staff and an all around great place
My experience here was great. We were not 100% sure what my diagnosis was, but all of the therapists here helped tackle the pain. I am still in physical therapy, but was sadly unable to continue here because I had to go back to school. If you want a more personal experience, this is the place to go!

I had foot/ankle surgery in May..started at East Athens in June on a scooter no weight bearing at all. Charlie and everyone there was so helpful getting me back on my feet its been a long process!!! Staff is very dedicated to the point of calling you if they think you’ve abandoned them, which of course you wouldn’t - duh - because they are highly skilled, personable and funny. The music rocks and the high ceiling and plethora of windows gives the main workout room an exhilarating ambience. Two thumbs up!!
The staff goes above and beyond to sure you are working hard and meeting your goals, while also ensuring you are enjoying your time there. They are genuine and are interested in more than just what you are there to accomplish. The hour spent there is filled with good conversation, getting stronger, and feeling proud of how far you have come.

2022-03-24I have been to East Athens Physical Therapy twice now (once for my hip, recently for my lower back), and Chris and all of the other staff have always been nothing but kind, and helped me get rid of the nagging pain that I walked in with. I would definitely recommend EAPT to anyone looking for a great physical therapy office.

2021-04-30They were a big help in treating a pinched nerve in my neck. Progress was slow-going at first but, after a nice talk with the director Kenneth, I understood the importance of the process and started doing my exercises regularly. That made all the difference. Staff is attentive and friendly, but can only do so much on busy days where theyre seeing a lot of patients. The work is ultimately on you. Dont be afraid to ask them questions. Trust me - they will take the time to answer them and help you understand.

2021-01-15I was referred to East Athens Physical Therapy for six weeks after shoulder injuries due to an automobile accident. After 6 weeks there was a remarkable improvement in being able to move my arms and somewhat return to normal activities. While I am still progressing and doing the exercises at home, the help I received got me on the right path. I could not be where I am now without their expertise. The up to date equipment includes an electric stimulator that was used on my shoulder. The staff is very efficient, courteous, understanding, and worked as a team. I never had to wait for the appointment, or times between the exercises. i highly recommend East Athens Physical Therapy.

2021-03-16I was very pleased with the therapy I received at East Athens physical Therapy, with specials kudos to Chris Warren. He is so knowledgeable and was very attentive to his clients. If he even heard a little clink sound that meant you were finished with a particular exercise, he was right there to direct. He was extremely patient to answer questions, print out instructions for home and make sure you were comfortable.The staff keeps the facility clean and sanitized- cleaning every thing after it had been touchedErin, at the front desk was always extremely helpful, efficient always polite and friendly.

2021-04-02I was referred to East Athens Physical Therapy from a co-worker who had a great experience with them. I had surgery on my shoulder for a torn labrum and needed lots of rehabilitation. During my time at East Athens, they had an individualized approach to your physical therapy and displayed tremendous knowledge about rehabilitation exercises. Charlie, Annabeth, Rebecca and Pierce all made my experience at East Athens like I was apart of a family. Truly some great people and great rehabilitation!

2017-11-24I have just finished therapy for my second knee replacement. The entire staff at East Athens Physical Therapy is fantastic. Their clinic is clean, neat, and well-organized. The one thing that impressed me most was their caring, kindness, and encouragement, not just to me, but to the other patients as well. It was evident that they are very knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. CHRIS did my therapy for each knee replacement and is the BEST! I would definitely go back to see him if the need arose!

Chris and team were able to help me regain fluid movement in my left shoulder and I now no longer have any pain. 2015-06-22I have had the need for Physical therapy services on three occasions and have gone to East Athens PT each time. I have found the entire staff to be very helpful and professional and always willing to work with my scheduling preferences. I have worked with three different Physical Therapists and all 3 were kind and caring and I felt they took an interest in me as a person not just an interest in my knee or shoulder or whatever. The techs have always been helpful and kind as well. I really appreciate that the therapists have all been gentle and did not go by the no pain, no gain mantra! Of course I hope I dont need PT again but if I do I will certainly choose East Athens. I will also recommend them to friends and family, should the need arise.
