This is a really nice campground. Very pretty setting on Lake Seminole. Clean. Level sites with 50 amps and water but not sewer at sites. There is a dump station on the way out. Boat launch. All sites are back in and some are a little tight to get into but a lot of room between sites. Amazon(?) ants. Small non biting but you dont want them in you rig. Spray around leveling feet and jack and maybe wheels. Guy at checkin said windex works but we used ant spray. However, didnt see any ants at our site. Didnt fish but several people were trying. Lots of cool birds.
Pros & Cons..Pros...Great price with the senior America the Beautiful pass. Nice bathouses. Some concrete sites, and all paved roads. Picnic table, fire ring and grill. 50 or 30 amp service.Beautiful view of the large body of water of Lake Seminole only if you have a lake site, or walk around campground A or C.Cons...No Privacy! Campsite are way too close with nothing to separate you from your neighbors.Virtullay no lake/water views from our site (#C29), because other RVs block the view. Patios are gravel, but have mostly grass and weeds growing in them. No sewer or cable T.V. (not important to us). The walkway to the DAM is closed. (They say because of Covid).
East Bank Campground-Bainbridge,GALoop A site 3.Site has slight down slope backing in. Unable to auto level, so had to level manually. 50/30/20 amp electric and water. Campground has dumpsite. Gravel pad picnic table, fire ring and grill. Good reception with T-mobile for phones and AT&T for our hotspot. One negative if you have dogs is the sand spurs are terrible. Sites in the A loop are spacious and the sites on the right side coming in have fantastic views of the lake. We had been looking forward to staying here and it did not disappoint.
Another wonderful Corp of engineers recreation area. Of the 20 or so we have stayed at this is the premier of all. On lake Seminole this area is incredible. It starts with the camp hosts who are absolutely delightful. And the facilities down to the showers are very clean and taken care of. Can not say enough about this area. There are RV resorts that boast about what east bank has but do not come close and they charge 70 to 80 dollars a night.
Only stayed 1 night on our way to Florida. Very nice campground. Will be staying again the end of December. Our site was 70 feet long and level. We stayed hooked up for our overnight stay.Showers and bathrooms were clean. We didn’t use the laundry. Camp workers were very helpful.
Small campground, very nice place. . If you like to walk or ride your bike, you can go all the way to Jim Woodruff Dam FL. Theres a gate that you can go thur to get to the other side to continue your walk or bike ride.Thats how close Florida is from here.Yes,I would come back!
This COE Campground was very nice. Very spacious sites, right next to the lake. The Hosts are very nice and friendly. They maintained the campsites and actually stopped and talked to the visitors. Although had extremely poor telephone reception on both Verizon and ATT. TV reception was just as bad. Which is strange since there is fiber run to the campground and nothing seems to of been done to take advantage of this. Also since it rained for 11 of the 14 days we were there the lake level rose significantly and made the overall experience of a beautiful site and area not so great. I will definitely be coming back to location again, except not during the apparently rainy season. Would like to take advantage of the beach that was right next door.
Very clean campground. Quite too. Campground hosts all were friendly and checked areas often. The washers and dryers are only a dollar each (at time of this post). Nice boat ramp. Sites are concrete and have electric (50/30 amp), water, picnic table, a heavy duty table for a grill, fire ring and lantern post. There are two bathroom buildings in campground. The hiking trail is closed at this time. Fishing is very good on the South side of dam. Watched people catching good size Crappies. Not sure off the shore here, seems that near shore is heavy with seaweed.
We loved Eastbank! Ignore all the negative comments and book! This campsite is wonderful. We have a big rig 45 ft fifth wheel and it was very accommodating and no issues. The front staff was super helpful. Our kiddos road their scooters all over, safely! They cut the grass and cleaned the bathrooms regularly. The views are unbelievable and the sunset on the water is perfect! Bring a fishing pole and relax, we will definitely be back!
Very nice campground. The camp hosts were amazing!! Barb and John will remain in our hearts forever!! The campground is small, but well maintained. Mostly older folks like us - nothing for kids to do. Will go back anytime we are in that area!! This was the sunset view from our site.
Second visit here at this campground. In November, its cold and few campers, but still pretty off the water. Now in a warm Fenruary, it has warmed up, and the park is alive with families and few spots left to camp. Lake Seminole is beautiful, the park is clean and the lower branches have been trimmed so the view is gorgeous over the lake as the sun beams and shows its reflection to the colorful sunsets in the evening. Showers, laundry, and bathrooms, shelter house, and boat ramp with an extra parking lot for boaters. Generally a quiet place to relax, walk, ride bicycles, picnic, and of course camp.
Nice place to spend a few days. We were able to get a site next to the water. Nice to wake up and see the lake and har the ducks. Most sites are concrete and have water and electric. The two bathhouses were kept very clean, however could use some updating. There is also quite a few trees down from hurricane Michael. Also they warn you about the Argentine ants. We didnt have any problems.
Extremely rude man working the gate on 7/11/21. I was passing through the area so I thought I would ride my eleven year old son though there to see the dam. He didn’t even bother to ask for my park fee, which I would have been more than happy to pay. Instead I was instructed of the 10 mile per hour speed limit, was told I couldn’t be in there longer than 10 minutes, and that we couldn’t step out of our vehicle.Parks are for teaching our next generation about life and American exceptionalism. This guy needs to find a new profession.
Truly off the beaten path. Electric and water which is all we needed on site as the Sprinter has holding tanks. Nice sunset - it might fabulous with the right clouds. Used the dump station on the way out. Quiet and peaceful. Space was huge - could easily had at least another Sprinter and still had room. And theres a dam if youre into structures.
Ants, ants, ANTS! Upon our arrival, we were told of the Argentine ant issues within the park by the park ranger. We arrived on Friday late afternoon and by 8am the next morning, our motorhome was infested with them. I’m not taking about one or two, I’m talking thousands. For the next 36 hours we tried everything to get rid of them, which included buying $20 worth of traps and sprays. While they say not all sites have the ants, they should know in which site they’ve been reported. We were on site 44. We left after 2 nights (of our 5 night reservation). Fortunately, it was our last stop on a 6 week RV trip. Also, the camp hosts will immediately tell you if you do anything wrong. We tried to pull into our back-in site so we could face our friend’s RV and we’d have shade in the evening when the sun was so brutal. We were told we couldn’t. We even got interrupted during dinner by a host knocking on our door because our car was parked facing the wrong way in our driveway. And finally we were scolded at for driving too fast when approaching the gate to the park (not even IN the park). But with the ants alone, I would advise NOT to go to this campground. It should be shut down until the ants are eradicated.
Beautiful park, exceptionally clean bathrooms and showers. Loved that the showers were private. Large sites...many waterfront. Friendly camp hosts. We camped there when it was below freezing and one asked us if we needed a heater. We met the friendliest campers there and even though most of our two weeks were freezing cold, we had a great time and hope to go back soon and take advantage of the beautiful lake.
Beautiful campground, facilities were a little dated, but very clean. The site was also very clean. On the down side, the front gate staff were incredibly rude. Upon entering the park gate, you have to cross several speed bumps (higher than most) before you get to the booth - 3 sets of 3 speed bumps to slow you down. When we pulled up to the booth, after slowing down to cross these bumps the host accused us of crossing the road divider line. Seriously? No traffic the other way and were going maybe 5 miles an hour? Oh, did I mention, we didnt even cross the line? Maybe a tire accidentally rolled on the line, but nothing like she implied. And Im having a hard time figuring out what difference it could possible make. She went on to chastise my husband about obeying the rules. Saying condescending things like you know what you did sir .... Really??? My daughter was mortified, and was concerned we were going to get kicked out during the rest of our stay. Seriously folks!!! These people need to get a grip, youre a host for crying out loud, try to be polite. Dont spoil a good trip by exerting some perceived power you think you have! I doubt well be back, which is unfortunate because we like to support small campgrounds and Im sure they could use the funds, since park funding is almost non-existent. But its just not worth feeling like you are not welcomed there.
We stayed here after our reservations were cancelled at another park because of Tropical storm Hermine. This park took us in and we had a great time here. The park was clean and well kept and the staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The small towns nearby didnt have a lot to do but we enjoyed kayaking in the lake.
The sites were very nice and well-kept. Almost all the sites you can see the water. The sites are well spaced out, you are not right on top of each other. It was very pleasant and peaceful. They said they had an ant problem. We used Comet and ant spray around tires, levels. Our water and electric we kept off the ground.
Fantastic campground. Only reason it gets 4 instead of 5 stars is that (1) they have no playground, (2) the restrooms are set back at the front and back of loop B only. The grounds were beautiful and each site has its own large picnic table and fire pit. Truly a great place to camp.
Campground is infested with Argentine/sugar ants, second night there we woke up to thousands of ants from one end of our camper to the other. They were everywhere. I asked the campground host if they spray for them and he said no. He said he was trying to get them to. This place should be closed until they can control this pest. We spent hours working to get our camper back to useable. Never will we go to this campground again.
If I can i want to give 0star the view is pretty but the man working there couldn’t help people out when they have medicine emergency if you come back late and there is no police answer the phone call to help people out I feeling I’m going to died if I don’t take my meds and that man just so rude!!
Nice and pretty campground but way too picky. Cant do anything without the park hosts and gatekeepers fussing about it. Cant ride anything motorized like hoverboards etc. And kids cant be kids! Every move you make is being watched. No freedom for fun. We will not be returning.
Beautiful Camp with tons of room between you and your neighbor. I would have rated it higher however the camp hosts were not very friendly. We were told at 10 the gates would be closed and pad locked and if we needed to get out we would have to call and wake them becuase it is locked with a key! We had our parents come see us and enjoy dinner and the hosts came to the site an hour before the gates were suppose to close to harass us about him needing to leave by 10! Not very comfortable with being locked in and no way out unless you wake them considering Im pregnant and have small children. When we expressed our concerns they were very rude. I understand needing to secure the sites but to make the campers unable to leave is a little out of line.
I’m going to do a review on Eastbank Campground, Bainbridge GA. We stayed 5 nights and it was wonderful. First I want to address some of the falsehoods in a couple of the other reviews done recently.I’ll start by saying this is a COE (Corps of Engineers) campground. 98% of all COE campgrounds I’ve camped in for over 30 years require that you pull off to the right and park to register. There are signs that say that, and at Eastbank the sign was clearly there, along with 2 other signs telling you exactly where to park to register. Even if you already have reservations, you have to pull to the right to park while you check in. But some people either can’t read, or don’t think it applies to them, so they pull to the side window blocking the drive through lane, instead of parking and walking to the front window. Doing this shows the hosts that you may have a tendency to disregard the rules, so yeah they will probably think they need to keep a closer watch on you. For that lady who gave a negative review because they did this, you broke the rules before you even got IN the campground, why wouldn’t the hosts think they have to be stricter with you immediately?? As for your comment about crossing the line. Yeah the speedbumps were rough, but they weren’t higher, they are spaced farther apart than most I’ve encountered, so they were rougher. You said there wasn’t any traffic coming at you and one tire might have hit the center line. Unless you have xray vision and can see through the shack, you can’t tell if there’s anything coming toward you anyway for more than 100 ft or so….shame on you for giving a negative review on these people because YOU broke the rules. The second one I’d like to address is the person who said the hosts watched their every move. You also must have done something to give them the idea they NEEDED to watch you because we saw the park rangers twice a day, and the hosts once a day. My grand daughter rode her scooter, there were other kids there on bicycles and skateboards. None of them were bothered at all by the hosts or rangers. But, none of these were motorized, and yes the rules clearly say if something is motorized it has to be legally licensed for driving on the streets to be allowed in the campground. So no, your kids electric motor driven hoveboard isn’t allowed. As I’ve already said, these hosts were great hosts. We’ve camped at some campgrounds where the hosts were awful, none of these were bad hosts at all. But then, we tend to follow the rules and not try to bend or break them…..so again, shame on you for a negative review when it was you trying to bend or break the rules. Now for the actual campground. PROS: sites were clean and level. Some are all concrete, some have gravel, but we walked through and looked at all of them, and they were all in good shape. Bathrooms and showers were all clean and well maintained. Campground is easy to maneuver through, even for the people we saw with the bigger rigs. Volley ball and horse shoe pits, along with a really good boat ramp.CONS: the biggest negative for us was that even though the descriptions we found online for this campground list swimming as part of the ‘in facilities amenities’, there is no swimming area. Even if you have a site by the water, the edge of the lake has been covered with broken concrete and blocks. We even saw old tires and rusty metal pipes right there in the edge of the water. There is NO PLAYGROUND for smaller kids, not even a swing or slide of any kind. Yes there’s room to add some in, this needs to be addressed. The last negative I want to put is there was a stray dog roaming the campground, but we did see the park rangers multiple times trying to catch it. It did cause some issues with some of the campers who were walking their dogs. All in all, we’ll be back, but just when it’s the wife and I and no grandkids as there isn’t a lot there for them to do.
Been there a couple of times...could be a little difficult locating, but once that is done, the campground is located very near the Jim Woodruff Dam at the southern end of Lake Eufaula with great views of the lake. Sites are level, water & electric, very clean bathrooms..even though these are located a distance from some of the sites. Take Argentine Ant powder or spray...one minute there are none at all, the next they can be everywhere....go prepared. But we loved the place. Take groceries with you as well.
We have camped at Eastbank, in a 30ft 5th Wheel, on three occasions. We love camping here. Similar to many other C.O.E. campgrounds the sites are level with a nice compacted small pebble pad area. The handicap accessible sites have a poured concrete pad. All sites contain a grill, fire ring, large picnic table, 3ftx3ft HD work table, and HD metal latern stand. Many of the sites are directly on the water. Almost all have a view of Lake Seminole. Loops B & C offer shady sites. Loop A not so much. Fall, Spring, winter season you really dont need much shade. A lot of beautiful waterfowl to watch and magnificent sunsets are almost nightly. Some sites are a little close, but we have lucked out with great neighbors on our visits. Gave this campground 4 stars instead of 5 because of only electric/water hook up, no sewer. Easy to use dump station. Nearby is the small town of Chattahochee, Fl. A small store with fuel, usually a decent price (yes on diesel). A Dollar store. A few restaurants. Across the river is Sneads, Fl. A small Piggly Wiggle grocery store has most all items you might need. Several bait & tackle shops also in Sneads.
Quiet campground run by the Corps of Engineers. Mix of back-in and pull-through sites with water and electric hookup. Dump station at the entrance. They have a Pavillion for campers to use along with sports equipment and lifejackets to borrow. Some lakefront sites. Several shower houses and a laundry facility. Some sites have pretty good shade, others get more sun. There is a boat ramp for camper use.
Do not recommend this campground if you are under the age of 80. First of all we pulled up to the booth that she directed us to then just to be told that we were in the wrong lane so to accommodate her we back the camper up and put it in the right lane all of a sudden we were her enemy I dont know why we were given the worst spot in the campground lot 45when we ask for another spot amazingly none were available although we stayed for 2 nights and there were plenty of empty spots. The fee was $48 for two nights so I handed them $100 bill and lo and behold they couldnt make change for that somehow she was really offended by this so we had to make exact change which luckily we had they put us next to the so-called campground host who did nothing but give us dirty looks the whole time we were here they were even offended that we have the nerve to make a campfire this is not a very lively place at all what I mean by that is there were no kids there was no sound of any kind if you spoke above a whisper you felt self conscious the bathrooms are definitely sub par some people might think by looking at this post that we may be in our 20s with long hair and tattoos nothing to be more the opposite we are in our mid forties own 2 homes and have our own business we were not looking for a party spot just a normal campsite.it felt like we were attending a funeral we will NEVER stay agian.

2022-02-05Beautiful water sunsets! Park host warned us of the ant invasion but luckily we had no issues at site 26. Bathhouse could use a refresh but water is hot so can’t complain. There’s a nice walking path to the dam with. nice lake views

2022-03-06Great smaller campground, bathrooms older but kept clean, no sewer, warned about ants and took precautions but didn’t see much activity. Seasonal camp caretakers were very friendly and helpful! Beautiful sunsets, nice breezes, would definitely come again! Best not to check out on Sundays though as the line for the dump station entails a good long wait! Could walk to damn but not across it. Gave it 4 stars due to no sewer hookups.

2022-02-22We love East Bank campground! Well maintained, great facilities and beautiful. Would have given it a 5 but not much to do. Trails are closed do to hurricane Michael in 2018. Walking or riding a bike to the dam is about all.

2022-01-042 weeks in site 16, 1st loop one row off the lake. Super quiet campground. Back in site needed our boards to level our 34 ft travel trailer. Clean shower bathrooms and laundry. Camp hosts were really friendly and helpful. Many walks with dog on the roads to the dam and below the dam. Amazing sunsets and sites have a nice large table in addition to picnic table and firepit. Tallahassee about 45 min -great auto museum. Local guide for bass fishing. Will definately be back.

2022-05-02We lived at Eastbank Campground in a Motorhome for 14 nights in April of 2022! :)•Pros: This was our 19th campground stay (13th COE park) and by far our favorite! The hosts were amazing (especially Jesi)! She took fantastic care of our portion of the park and is the kindest host weve ever met. We stayed at two different sites: B62, and B42, and were able to set up early at both sites. Notably, both had already been cleaned before we arrived (we werent used to this from previous campgrounds).•Cons: Be cautious of the slope after the gatehouse and dump station! Since we were warned about the ants, we were able to prepare beforehand and ended up not having an invasion.•Highlights: Again, the level of service we received here exceeded all other parks weve visited. We had offerings of quarters for laundry, mail delivery, additional site cleanups, tools for our site, help when our awning danced in the storm, - these were beyond the most welcoming people (hosts + guests) weve lived with!•Furbabies Review: Cookies (our dog) loved the pavilion section where she could run around off-leash for a while, away from the campsites. Cream (our cat) enjoyed inside views of all the squirrels running around.•Tips for Other Campers:-Laundry is $1.00 a load for the washing machine and dryer, the cheapest weve ever seen!-To our fellow tall peeps -- use the bathrooms at the bathhouse at the front of the park, not the back, unless youre feeling extra neighborly. ;)-There are many regulars and hosts with rescued dogs at this park, so please remember to leash up your babies and be cognizant of others boundaries and past.•Our recommendations to the park: Please introduce recycling to your facility! The Earth will thank you!Thank yall again for having us! Were off Livin the Dream with Cookies & Cream. :)

2022-04-15Really beautiful Campground directly at the water. Showers are separate rooms that you can lock, so you have more privacy than on most other campgroundswe left one day early because everywhere in our car were ants.. And I really mean everwhere...They even warn you about it but we didnt want to go again and buy ant spray when we arrived so do that before you come here!so actually it was our fault and I noticed right now that they even refunded us in full although I would have been completely okay if they didntI mean it was our decision! 👍🏼...

2022-03-28This is our third visit to this enchanting place. We just love it.The campground is situated on Lake Seminole and at least half of the 65 sites have a great view of the lake. Your National Park Senior Pass card will entitle you to a 50% discount. The sites have 50 amp and water. Dump station is located on the way out near the Park Attendants site. There is a dump station before you get to the campground on the right just before you turn left on Eastbank Road. It is free and it is easy to get in and out. If you come to the campground, check in and then decide to dump you will have to drive through the campgroung, head back towards the exit to dump, then exit the campground and make a U-turn to come back in. A bit of pain so a little planning goes a long way.We have always found the grounds to be spotless. The host are quick to check and rake sites after a camper pulls out.If you are into fishing there is a fishing station in a screened in porch near the entrance, plus there are stations at most campsites. I havent seen anyone around here cleaning fish, but the station is available. Oh, there is a boat loading ramp, and Ive seen a few campers here with their fishing boats.Fire rings, grills, fish cleaning tables, picnic tables, lantern posts, etc. on each site. Also, laundry facility, restrooms, hot showers, etc. Most all the sites are designed for an easy back in and there are some pull through. Site 6 is a huge pull through. If you have a Class A you wont even need to disconnect your tow for site six.Lets talk about these Argentine Ants. Like I said Ive been here at least three times and Ive never had a problem, because I took the advice of the host who was here about three years ago and purchased some Cutter Backyard Spray. She told me that if I sprayed this spray around my camper, the power cord and water line leading up to my camper I wouldnt have a problem. She suggested spraying down any nearby tree trunks. And she suggested spraying down the site before pulling in. Once I pulled into an ant infested site. There were what seem like millions of ants on the nearby tree. I sprayed the grounds around where the camper and where the car would be parked and the tree. There were no signs of ants the next day. I came back to this same site (site # 5) two months later and still no signs of ants on that tree. A bottle is a bit pricey (about $17), but Ive used it here three times now, plus a couple of other camp sites. Spend the money. It is well worth it. Ive included a picture of this spray bottle that attaches to the end of a water hose. I bought mine at Home Depot. All in all a great place to stay. Ignore the negative reviews. This is a campground. There will be bugs, ants, etc. As one can expect sand in a sandbox. Still, some will complain about sand between their toes I suppose.About the author: We travel about six to seven months out of the year and enjoy doing big loops around the U.S. and Canada. Our destination is the journey.

2022-06-02Quiet and well spaced sites. Well maintained. Right on the lake. Good for boating and fishing.

2021-06-25So the review of this campground is really hard to write since it’s a COE park and the views are amazing but the maintenance of the park is awful! We were there 14 days and never once did they do any yard/site maintenance. The weeds and calf high grass are taking over the campground and the sites. The tables and picnic tables could use a coat of stain as well. The park attendants were friendly but don’t really go above and beyond what they are paid to do. We witnessed an occupied site (with a water view) lose power and the rig had to be moved all because the attendant didn’t want to call maintenance on the weekend and have them be charged overtime! Words directly from them , not me! Sad those people had to move and they were not moved back. We enjoyed the sunset views and large site but the grass and the bugs (which enjoyed the tall grass) made this a COE that we’re not sure we’ll visit again.
