Great stress reliving place. There is a creek that runs in the park. Lot of trails to run and walk. The main circular black top running trail is .32 miles. There is a small trail that connects to Fullers park as well as Robinson Road. This is the best place in the whole east Cobb.
Whereas, The park has a Nice Trail, and a Safe Playground, that very playground is a Giant issue. In fact, certain families having parties is an issue. Weve been on the trail a single time, as most of the time coming here were denied to use the playground and the PavilionsAppearantly, Families can Rent out or Reserve the Entire Park, Including the Pavilions for Burthday Parties.Denying any other Families who wish to Barbecue, Let their kids have fun, whatever. This is the 4th time now, Ive had to waste Gas coming here, to only be told I cant even use the Public Park for my Nieces, Nephews, etc until 4pm.Which is even more Absurd as by that time, the kids only have 2 hours to play, and I have little time to Cook before the Sun sets to end the day.Youre meaning to tell me, This park Is public, but families can Pay a Premium to have a Public park for themselves?Ridiculous. My poor Niece fell asleep, after crying because we left to look for another park, but....Yeah, this honestly sucks.
I have two kids (8 & 2). We love to frequent this park. It has trails, a track, a public piano, a bridge over a creek, picnic areas, fields, trees, two playgrounds, events, grilling picnic areas. Its a great place, but bring a towel when its hot so that the littles don’t burn their legs or bottoms and sunscreen, water and snacks. Dog, kids, athlete, elderly friendly.
The park includes two play areas. One area is ramp accessible, rubber solid ground cover, and includes swings with body harnesses. The other area includes some larger play structures for older children. There are 3 covered structures for rental. The bathrooms are in good repair. There are also walking paths.
Love this park, only issue is that sometimes parking can be a nightmare. Highly recommend carpooling if possible so as to ease congestion. Also there are pretty awesome creeks to play in as well as the two playgrounds and covered eating areas so bring towels and wear stuffs for water play! Has bathrooms and water fountains as well!
5 stars...would give more! Great place for kids of all ages. Plenty of green space for playing, several places with shade, dogs welcome, bring your hammock, picnic lunch, walk on the trails, sit on a bench or swing. Theres 2 playgrounds! Clean bathrooms too with a changing table. Little ones can ride bikes. Sewell Creek is on one side and easy to access. Theres a stage for events. A band was playing for Sunday Funday when we were there. Theres covered group pavilions with grills. An ice cream truck was in the parking lot too. We will be here often.
We love this park. There are 2 big pavilions (that you can reserve for parties) and several smaller shaded picnic benches all over. Two playgrounds for kids, lots of parking, a little stream to cool off in and a couple of little trails. Plenty of open space, trees to attach hammocks to and benches all over.
Fantastic spot for the community, especially families with kids and dogs. Two playgrounds, one with pressed rubber ground surface and mostly fenced. Walking trails that are stroller friendly, with to great spots to go down to the water to splash and play. Clean bathrooms, nice picnic pavillions, good sidewalks. Ample parking. Lots of friendly people. Also some hiking trails in the woods which dont seem stroller friendly. Good place for painted rock hunting. And a Little Free Library by the parking. Go check it out, you wont be disappointed!
I cant believe that I am just now reviewing East Cobb Park! This is arguably the best park in East Cobb! It has everything that one could ask for in a park and more! There are two large separate playground areas for children to play and have fun with! Public restrooms and drinking fountains are available on grounds! There are walking, running and biking trails in abundance surrounding the main playground area! The several piers offer quite reading spots with bubbling brooks streaming by. The bandstand has a huge covered stage with plenty of grassy area for on looker to view concerts and more! There is a covered picnic area that can be used for any number of events, Birthday parties, family reunions etc... my family and I have used this park for years and years! And, have made so many wonderful memories though the years!
Love this place. Great trails. Walk my hound here all the time. Usually most other dogs are fairly well mannered ...I go mainly evenings after work. Kind of seems like a mad house on the weekends and my hound gets nervous around little kids. The trails connect to baseball fields and the parking lot and has some Creek access for your dog or child to play in and get your car dirty.Definitely nicely maintained. Never really concerned about anything sketchy going on here.
Its a family friendly park. Remarkably clean. Theres a paved trail and a more rustic one towards the back. Plenty of parking towards the back of the entrance. There are some restrooms in the middle of the park, as well as a communal pavilion across it. There are two separate fields to hang out. One is in front by the access road. And another towards the back. There are a number of benches to sit and relax around the walking trails. Theres a small creek on the side and towards the back. If youre looking to get out and get some sun, visit East Cobb park!
We lived in East Cobb for almost 20 years and always loved thus park. Now we live out in Cherokee but still frequent the park occasionally. The playground, the pavilions, the walking trails, the woods, the people, the dogs. We have done it all there and it is a beautiful little park.
Beautiful environment, good place to walk for exercise. Theres a play area for children and restrooms. There also a few shady parking spots, if you want to park your car, eat lunch or just relax or do YouTube video, Instagram or Facebook it just a nice quite park!! Have a blessed day everyone 😊
This is always a nice little park to go to. I say little but its actually a lot bigger than probably 80% of the parks around Cobb County. Situated along the bank of Sewell Creek, the park has walking trails that circle a playground and two recreational fields and continue deep into the wooded nature areas inside the park. There are benches and picnic tables in various parts of the park which can be reserved for events like birthday parties if one so desires. The playground has swings, slides, and many other equipment for children. Your kids arent like to get bored of the playground quite so quickly here. If you want a place to take kids to entertain them or you just want a place to walk and give your cardiovascular a nice workout outdoors, I highly recommend this place.
Great place for a walk through nature or to play for kids and adults. Lots of things to do at this small park. Two play areas one for smaller kids and one for older; a field two play ball in or tag, etc. A Pavillion for birthday parties that you need to reserve. Grills, nature trails and a wooden bridge over a creek.
Nice spacious park to take kids and numerous trails to walk.Grills and covering over tables to sit and eat in case of rain.Water fountains near bathroom.Grounds are kept very clean also.Had a wonderful time celebrating my niece graduation with other family members there.❤❤❤ It !!!!
We really love the walking exercise we get when walking over the hill to the upper lot. Its great for people watchers as so many families are there doing many different things such as frisbee, walking dogs, young sports players getting in their exercise, parents pulling their kids in wagons, and lil kids riding their bikes. There is plenty of room for everyone. Also areas on the rolling hills to picnic as so many do.
This is a huge park! Its great for families! There are hiking trails and beautiful scenery! The kids playground has greatly evolved from when I was younger! There are large open fields that are great for a game of frisbee, soccer, or football! The river is a beautiful sight and the pavilions are great for birthday parties!
What a wonderful park. I have been going for a walk there each day for quite some time. The park is close to where I live and clientele there are most cordial. This old fella will be glad when re-opened. Since East Cobb Park has closed have been going to a Marietta park where all has been cordoned off but access to the walk path is allowed but I dont feel as safe/comfortable there.
Great place to walk your dog on tree covered paths. Also the pavilions are a wonderful way to have a covered picnic. They have BBQ grills available, tables and seating and the one we were at was right next door to a childrens playground and bathroom facilities. Add in sunshine and a cool breeze and it was a perfect, fun day.
Great park. Nice shady areas with trails and a good sized field with nothing specific on it (so rare at a park these days). The kids really love the playground and so do the parents since there are lots of benches all around the perimeter. Even a not so little amphitheater, covered picnic areas and a real bathroom... Whats not to love!
Great park. My kids particularly like the dinosaur slide and the desert jeep rocker. The playground we go to has a range of equipment suitable for all ages and is 95% fenced in. There are lots of benches surrounding the edge. The womens bathroom was clean and had a changing table. I will say that every time we have gone there have been puddles on the track and on the field.
Well maintained and beautiful. Lots of slides and swings. My two year old prefers this park! She would spend all day here and you easily could. Parking wasnt a nightmare either. Plenty of parking. Overall...lots to do...lots of space to do it...and well maintained grounds!
Great park, however ground keeper needs to fill in the holes, there is one right before going down the stairs that my 3 daughters foot went In causing her to hit both her knees on the concrete which started bleeding, I did however manage to find a big stone and put it in the hole..
We love this park. If you follow the paved trail to the bridge you can go play in the creek under the bridge. The park to the right of the entrance is better for younger kids but there is such little shade and the black material used on the ground makes it super hot. Also wish they wouldn’t spray the park where children play with pesticides but apparently people are more worried about grass ascetics than cancer free people.
I absolutely love coming to this park with my son and dog. Its a melting pot of different peopke. Lots of friendly dogs. The playground is very inclusive. The river is kept clean and is easily accessible. Our dog LOVES to play in the water. The trails are nicely Maintained. There are a variety so you can pick length and intensity as you feel that day. We go here a lot. I would definitely recommend. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Growing up in the Marietta area, I grew up at East Cobb park. I have very fond memories playing on the very same playground that still exists today. However, I believe that the atmosphere has changed and the connection to nature I once felt as a child is now gone. If youre looking for a place close to work to go for a run, walk the dog, or play on the swings, this will be fine. If you are seeking a natural escape from reality, seek other nearby parks. (Chattahoochee nature center, Soap Creek, or Laurel Park)
I’ve been to this park a few times and there’s always something going on! Two separate playgrounds, tons of walking trail- paved and unpaved, restrooms, places to hammock and even a mini free library. The only thing I think it’s missing is a water fountain that’s lower to the ground for dogs? I recommend bringing a bowl to fill up. Other than that- great park!
Lots of parking which supports both the older kid playground and the toddler/younger kids playground. Swings for all and even swings to share with your child. The restrooms are kept clean, very nice walking trails and track. The track which doesnt explore as far out is paved for strollers, wagons, scooters, and skates...if anyone skates anymore. For those that want to get their feet dirty, you can walk the outer trails, which is a bit more wooded and not very flat. These are good for wooded adventures or just a peaceful walk through the woods. There are lots of people walking dogs here, and plenty of open space for frisbee, soccer, or any other field type activities. Dont forget the pavilions. Some are first come first serve, and others are able to be reserved. Plenty of BBQ pits for everyone. One of my favorite local parks.
Great park if you have young kids 2 and up. Two very nice sized playgrounds for kids with soft ground. Nice covered picnic area with a barbeque on the top playground. Plenty of benches for parents to sit and relax while the kids play. Well manicured and kept clean. When I was there it was around 7 PM on a week night and quite alot of people. Baseball field near the bottom playground stays busy with little league and usually has alot more kids to keep each other company while playing. Overall its a great park to drain the endless energy from your young ones of all ages.
Very clean and open Park. East Cobb Park has two play grounds for the children to play on, an open field to play soccer or kick ball. Two pavilions for partys. And I believe a trail walk as well (didnt see it personally). All in all, I rate it 5 stars to the open landscape and the cleanliness of the Park. Very well maintained.
Had a great time with my boys in the stream under the first bridge along the walking path! Bring water shoes or at least be prepared to walk back barefoot. The parks (upper is for littler kids, lower is for bigger) here are top notch as well. They also have super affordable pavilions for rent adjacent to the parks.
Although we saw a pretty sizable black rat snake, the park was nice and clean. They have several pavilions, with water faucets. I think thats a nice touch. They also have an opened field, which can be used for different types of portable or old skool games. It would be great if there was a court of some kind: basketball, tennis, volleyball, etc. That would make it more exciting for older teens and young adults. For this reason, I gave it 4 stars.
This park has a stage in the center which is constantly being utilized for neat events. Usually, there is a DJ along with some cirque arts performers. Sometimes theres a local concert for a band or even students. This park is also extremely dog friendly and I constantly see people bring their furry pals to play. If you continue to walk down to the back of the park, there are trails for walking. They arent extremely lengthy trails, but they are enough if youd like to get a little exercise and fresh air.
I love this park! Come here as often as possible with the little one. I always feel safe, there are always things going on like yoga groups, play groups, sometimes they have concerts... The trails are lovely with honeysuckle everywhere, and the creek always has children playing in it while their parents chatter on the banks. Its so sweet, like a Norman Rockwell painting! My only suggestion would be a drink machine to put it right over the top! It would make a fortune in the summer!
Great park. Nice green space. Pavilions. Walking paths, upper and lower playgrounds. Lots to explore. Dont get discouraged by parking and trying to get in and out. Theres an upper parking level with lots of spaces and its worth the tricky entrance. Nice for an evening picnic.
The park doesnt seem that big from the outside but youll be surprised when you get in. Besides the main track and the kids playground, there are couple of short hiking trails (easy ones), scenic outlooks, couple of baseball grounds, and tennis courts. Restrooms are spread throughout. All in all, really nice. Oh, not to forget, there are more than 5 pokestops in the park if youre short of pokeballs.
I have no complaints about the East Cobb Park. As it connects directly to the back end of Fullers park via outdoor trails, it allows for ease in traveling to and from activity fields and hiking and walking trails. As with most places, it could have more space and longer, more complex walking trails, however, with the limitations of space provided, it doesnt seem like a viable option to the East Cobb/Fullers park location. My dog, Jack, and I frequent the park as he loves all of the smells that go along with the location and I enjoy the views that the river and friendly faces bring. Finally, I wish I could remember his name, but when Jack (dog) and I go to the park in the morning, we are always greeted by the same friendly face of a maintenience worker either mowing the lawn, smoothing out the trails or emptying the garbage cans. It is always great seeing how much you care and how much you value the experience us East Cobbers have for The East Cobb Park.
This park has a little bit of everything. Theres 2 playground for kids that are fenced in so you dont have to chase the kids around. Theres a paved sidewalk in the shape of a figure 8 that is decently shaded. Theres a stage for live shows. Theres an unpaved trail next to a creek. What else? Theres two poké gyms that are always yellow...Its a good place to go, check it out.
Nice park for all ages, playgrounds, walking path, trail to the forest and a creek, large grass area, clean bathrooms, Parking can be tough during peek times when the weather is beautiful because its popular, but its not usually an issue. Down the street from lots of stores and restaurants.
I just moved to the area and have been looking around for a good place to run after work...which is after dark. So far I have really enjoyed meeting the people in my neighborhood and even after dark I meet new people and I am never there alone. If you see a tall guy running in the dark with a flashlight, I will be happy to meet you.
Great place to walk around with your kids and/or dogs. Great birthday party spot(with grills I believe), a stage for live music, great trails, and two amazing playgrounds. They even have swings where the baby swing is connected to an adult swing so you can swing with your baby. Super awesome. Only downside is that it gets crowded on weekends and holidays. It does have a small park next to the parking lot thats great for children with autism(if its empty), small birthday parties(if you get there at a good time) its very private.Side note: There are two Pokémon gyms, one at the main park sign near the parking lot entrance and one next to the stage. Also a lot of Pokéstops near the parking lot, big playground, stage, and along the trail. Theres a couple more scattered around. People also tend to put lure modules on them alot.Side Notes side note: Since its a Pokémon Go hotspot, watch out for people walking around aimlessly like zombies looking at their phones. They might not see you coming. One of my favorite parks for my children. Its normally clean because its East Cobb and snobby:)

2022-01-08Changing my rating of this park from four to five stars today, for one specific extraordinary reason. Someone creating or contributing to this park had the amazing thought of putting out a piano under a gazebo for people to play.Ive seen the piano before, my family and I have been coming here for years, but today someone really played it, and it was wonderful. All around the park was the soft din of someone expressing themselves in harmonious tones, and a reminder of how great it feels to be in proximity of other people enjoying themselves in the sun, in this great big public park that someone created for us to enjoy In this very moment. It might have been a lucky moment, but it was an intentional one. And thats how you get five stars.

2022-03-29My kids love it here. Multiple park areas to fit kids ages. Walking trail and has a multiple hideaways. We drive 15 minutes from our residence to come here when the kids wants play and need fresh air.

2021-01-02Took my son here a couple times. Parking is plenty. I like that there are two separate playgrounds for the little ones. The dirt trail around the playground makes it a bit bumpy for the strollers but it could be worse. If you walk over to the bridge there is a little water area to play in during the warmer months. The park is dog friendly as well, and trees to hang your hammocks.

2022-06-27This park is perfect for relaxing, jogging, and riding bikes. There are various pathways through the woods, a few playgrounds, and some youngsters like to play in the creek. If you enjoy Pokémon Go, youll spend the entire day here.

2022-06-11Love walking my dogs here. We take a mile + loop. The walk includes some side walk, dirt path and mulch. The park includes two play grounds, bathrooms, and a decent amount of parking.

2021-02-20Been going here since I was a kid. I love the spot over the bridge with the picnic tables. Playground for the kids. Big fields for sports. Nice path to bike or run. And trails to explore. Also a stage for performances (hopefully we get those back soon)
