It was very.loud music n so smokey for some reason I guess everybody was getting flairing hot fajitas only think that can explain the smoke. Looks like teenagers working there that dont understand what is being asked because how hard is to bring napkins both was said in English n second time in Mexican. Someone said they think they the owners kids I dont know though. It was totally different when it was called something else. I dont know maybe we just came on a wrong night. They use to have great karaoke night in the days.
This place is truly a Hidden Gem in Augusta. Emphasis on the hidden as it is located off of one of the entrances to Riverwalk. With that being said, it is definitely worth hunting out, as the food here is excellent. The prices are good, and though the service a bit slower than I like, is not bad. There is plenty of room here for parties and there is no wait anytime Ive been. I always have a hard shell taco at a Mexican restaurant as a test of the quality the first time I visit, and the taco here was excellent. The beef is strongly seasoned and definitely not bland. The margaritas are good and Ill definitely be back!
The queso was the best thing here, the rest was alright, but you have to be as specific as possible ordering, or you might not get what you want. Asked for shredded chicken enchiladas with white sauce and they brought it, but it was white sauce under the enchiladas and red sauce on top.
The food is ok better than Taco bell and prices no bad. I waited for over 30 minutes and no one help me to order food. The person that took me to table never went back. Ms. Matilde Sandoval was only one that help me to order food before I left the restastauran for its incompetence personnel. MS. Sandoval demonstrated to a professional employer.
The food was delicious is all I can say. I didnt even know this restaurant was down town until yesterday. They also had karaoke set up on the patio. They also had a small party room. Theres also a pool table in another room.Go early if you go on a Friday or Saturday night because people eat and just hang out afterwards so it takes time to get a table.
The service here leaves a lot to be desired. We came for dinner, and the host was not even standing at the entrance. We waited a bit to be seated. Our waiter was pretty nice and he was attentive. The quality of the chips was a bit over cooked however, and they tasted a bit stale. The food was simply okay, and it did come out quickly. I would frequent this location more if the the quality was upped a little bit more, but it was basically middle of the road otherwise.
A lunch with my sister & her boyfriend on a very pleasant Sunday afternoon. Not much of an afternoon rush which was surprising given this place is right on the Augusta Riverwalk. We ordered pretty simple dishes - 2 cheese enchiladas and my Pollo Santa Fe. The waitress was friendly as well as the staff and the timeliness on the food was great. The one error made was with my tortilla choice which a bit upsetting especially since she asked which type I wanted - she appeared nervous and young so I hope it isnt repeated. The environment was warm with lighting with plenty of traditional paintings sourced from Mexico [I was curious & love art😁]. Overall a good experience and definitely plan to return since Ive been here twice now.
This Mi Rancho needs some ownership. The chips had a old oil/grease smell and taste to them. The salsa was halfway soured due to no refrigeration. It was terrible and I am usually quite satisfied with the other Mi Rancho locations. It was not worth the money and hoping I dont get sick. Yes that bad.
First time eating here and it was really nice. The waitress was really quick and nice and precise taking our orders. The food did take a while to make, but when we did get our food, it was perfect. And there was a little confusion with what food was ordered, but i dont believe it was the waitresses fault. The chef who gave us our food seemed a little agitated as well for whatever reason, but it was just one experience. And if we based life off of just one bad experience, it would be a lot less fun and exciting. But otherwise i would still recommend giving this place a try. They have a lot to order, and they have a kids menu and adult drinks too.
I went to this place 2 weeks ago for the first time, my hubby had been raving about it, he was not exaggerating. I was so impressed! The food was sooooo good, service excellent, ambiance great! I went back the following weekend and I am going to continue patronizing this place.
Mi Rancho Mexican Restaurant has fantastic food. There is a small seating are outside which is really nice. The staff was super friendly during our visit. We arrived at opening and it took a bit longer than expected to get our food but I think that was only because they had just opened. The food was delicious so it was well worth it. I plan on going back the next time Im in the area.
Probably won’t go back. Food was mediocre and employees that day weren’t friendly or helpful. They need to set aside some of their earnings and update the place—very dingy and old. If anything was good, it was the salsa, but the chips weren’t. Save your stomach real estate and money, and eat anywhere else
Food was good but the waitress was not attentive at all and rolled her eyes while we were placing our food order and did not stop at the table once to ask how anything was or to even refill our drinks. And the bad part is there was not a lot of customers in at that time. Being a person who has been employed in the food and beverage industry, I only expect the same amount of service and professionalism I myself would give to a paying customer.
The staff were quick and accurate and deserve 5 stars. The food however is nothing special and hurts this restaurant. Its obvious they microwave their food becuase the ends are hot and the center is cold. There is no exciting flavors and I think they need to improve on this element.Again, they are quick and can handle 100s of meals but like every other Mexican restaurant in Augusta, it remains 3 starsIll always be willing to give another chance but a lot of my table agreed with the middle being cold and the outsides being hot with hot cheese poured on top. Even my burrito didnt have melted cheese in the middle.
If I could give a zero I would it has been the worst experience for me and my family that we have ever had. The Food was not what was advertised and it was all over cooked we waited three and a half hours for our food. My wife is sick as a dog I had to take her to the ER.
Third best Mexican restaurant in Augusta. Go to this one, NOT the one on Washington. This is the one where they cook your food.Food is 10/10Service is 7/10 (they dont handle being busy well, waiters often argue with eachother loudly. Nothing really major and theyre all super nice to customers, there are just better places to go when its busy.)Food is immaculate every time I go. Tres Amigos or ANYTHING on the combo menu is perfect.Tacos are killer here. Queso dip is great, salsa is great, Service is typically prompt.
Service was horrible. We waited 20 minutes before we were greeted by our server. We ordered and she brought our food out but decided to hang out and play on her phone. We had to track down the manager to ask for more chips and dip. We went to pay for our meal and we never received a bill. The cashier got an attitude because we didnt have our check. Wouldnt eat here again
The food was excellent. I ordered a medium rare Steak Ranchero with a Amaretto Sour and a sweet tea. The waiter brought me my steak and my Amaretto Sour. She didnt bring me my sweet tea until after giving me my check which at that time me and all my friends were already done eating. I asked her nicely if she could bring my sweet tea over three separate times. She didnt bring it until we were getting ready to leave which was way to late. She gave me my drink in a to go cup that made no sense to me. I might as well have not been charged for it but I was charged for it. I would have left a tip because the food was so tasty and she was nice but everyone else at my table got their cups of water and alcoholic beverages while I lacked my sweet tea. I asked nicely for my one missing drink and I didnt get it until the end of my visit. Sweet tea is my favorite drink. I would have loved to drink the sweet tea as I ate my Steak Ranchero for the first time. That was the whole point I ordered sweet tea it was to have it with my steak. That was very disappointing. I hope that Mi Rancho can do better on my next visit. This made me feel like my one small request wasnt noticed at all.
If I could give them zero stars I would. The food was good. The staff definitely does not believe that Covid is real. My waitress kept her mask down the entire time. Whats the purpose of even having it on your face if youre not going to wear it. You not wearing a mask only tells me that you dont care if the customers get sick. I HATE selfish people.
Literally the WORSE service we’ve ever experienced! We were ignored almost the whole time. Asked for chips and salsa twice. We had your baby with us. We had to get a high chair AND clean it OURSELVES! My husband had to get up and walk to the table our server was SITTING at (chatting with other coworkers or friends) and ask for napkins, get up again to ask for a refill and then she brings the drink back with the plastic lid filled with soda. We immediately asked for our check. Food wasn’t great...meaning our nachos were drowned in cheese and mushy. I didn’t get to try the rest that we ordered because we had to get out of there before I became rude! Will never return and definitely do not recommend!
Great atmosphere, love the karaoke & the people that frequent this establishment but horrible food. The first time I tried a sizzling fajita plate with steak and shrimp everything was cold, the steak was curled up like scraps, & it had 4 baby shrimp on plate. I tried for the second time on 9/13/19 with my sister. The place was crowded as usual which was no problem. We were seated at the bar until seats became available. My sister order plain fried all flat wings. While were seating at the bar the hostess comes to us with an open table. When our waitress arrives we let her know that we had a wing order placed at the bar. The wings took 25 minutes to arrive, the wings were not all flats. The wings were covered in Buffalo sauce which the MANAGER stated was the only way the wings came. But we asked for PLAIN wings when placing the order. I ordered shredded chicken tacos & was brought grilled chunky chicken. The waitress coped an attitude about her mistake when taking my order. She brings out a new order of tacos with watery chunky meat NOT shredded. Everyone brags about this place. Very disappointed with this place.
Had a party of 8 and our waiter was HORRIBLE.. we waited over an hour for our checks the waiter wasn’t attentive. The food was bad had all of us sick. The drinks didnt taste clean. You would think because of COVID they would be sanitize the waiter didn’t wear her mask properly the whole time.
I went here for lunch with my mom, Auntie, & cousin. I ordered the Lunch Special #7. Food was hot n delicious, as usual. I never have a bad experience at this location. I enjoy the atmosphere and food every time. The food of course is great as well. The wait is usually 15 minutes, and the serving is quick to fill you. Ive had other mexican restaurants,
My wife and I never got a chance to try the food.we where signal by the waiter like we where his children, the literary thought the manue at us and left. I got up to use the man bathroom .came back to the table and told my wife we were leaving by far the filthy place I have ever visited
This location used to be the Red Lion Pub and it still has the lingering feel of a dingy bar. The menus smelled like a sour rag so it is essential to order fast. Service was good and we were seated fast, but the overall clean establishment feel was not there. Bathrooms were about as clean as I expected. Food was the same quality as the other locations, but the restaurant was just kind of gross.
No complaints about the terrific service here. There were eight if us and the server was very attentive. Our food arrived hot and within no time at all. The outside kareoke added a bit of interest however, we chose to sit inside. I will return to this establishment in the near future.
Quick service. Had lunch there and the food was good, quick and hot. The whole time I was wondering if it used to be a pub or a different bar and I liked that about it. It is kind of hidden, its not on Broad street or any of the major streets, but I enjoyed it. I like that they give you a little container to pour the salsa into your own bowl so you dont have to share.
My Son Jon and I brought our friend Jan out for her birthday to celebrate it, it was fun, even if it was short as he also had a concert to get to. Our food was brought very quickly. It was great. Except the guacamole was a bit too spicy for me. So the next taco salad I order I will need to order it on the side, because I have trouble with spicy food. Jon and Jan loved their food, however. I think fun was had by all! The waitress was very good, and extremely helpful. Jan and I plan to return for a night of karaoke!
It was not busy at all. I saw only five people ( 1- single and 2- couples) that were getting service, unless there were a few in the back that I did not see. We made eye contact with a few workers that were just walking around doing nothing, or at least it appeared they were doing nothing, and they did not acknowledge that we were there. It took about 10 minutes for someone to seat us. Once we were seated, it took another 15 minutes (stopwatch) for us to get serviced (very patient); I finally decided to go and get someone; it may have been longer. We yet were served, but the waitress (who said she was the manager) lacked quality customer service, she wasnt horrible, she just appeared not to care that we had been waiting for so long, since they werent busy. We still gave a tip because she served us, and I believe in tipping, but your service determines the amount. We also left a friendly note with a few suggestions.Ive been a waitress before at a high traffic restaurant, so I know how frustrating it can be, and I also understand that every day isnt going to be peaches and creams. Will I go back? Not to the one downtown. I will stick with Vallarta Restaurant or try another Mi Rancho.
The wait staff was really good, they seated us very promptly. The reason I give 2 stars is because the music was pretty loud where they sat us (it was maybe 1pm) and the food that we ordered wasnt as good as we had hoped. The lunch special prices were really good, it was only $14 for the both of us, unfortunately it just wasnt enough for us to want to go back.
I eat at this chain all the time. But last weekend was my first time at this particular location. I went on a Friday night and the place was packed. Thankfully my friends knew it would be and got there early to hold us a table however people waited for close to an hour for seating. They had a live DJ playing dance music and karaoke between songs. It looked like many people were regulars and everyone had a great time. As always the food and drinks were god. I’ll will definitely g back for Friday night karaoke
I wish I could give a 0 star but its not a option, me and a friend went today we was seated needed a minute to look at menu, never came back stopped another female and asked for drinks, then came took our order, dude came out chips and salsa on table didnt speak or anything, friend food came out 1st and they just kept walking around like I had my food so 15 mins I stopped same female I stopped to ask about drinks she was like what do you need I said my food she was like ok so another 10 minutes past my steak comes out but they dont have my baked potato and I feel it was terrible service bc it wasnt even crowded
I went there for lunch one day when I was in Augusta. I got guacamole dip, a strawberry margarita and carne asada. Everything was very good! There was a ton of food so I was able to get the left overs to go since my hotel had a microwave. The staff was friendly. I was pleased with my meal and would go back.
As soon as we sat down our waiter took our drink order, gave us our chips and salsa and vanished for 30 minutes. We had to ask another waitress passing by to get our waiter so we could give our order. He finally came back and took our order. Never apologized for the long wait. Our food was cold, the shrimp was tough and overcooked. When we asked for our check, he told us he would come back to take the payment. He never did. We ending paying at the register, minus his tip!
The drinks were ok. But the food. I went at 3pm. And they served me need that they had made in the morning. The steak was chewy and more like pork chop. Just all around old food. The server was nice. But all of the food. Even the chicken tenders were and tasted old. Never again is that place seeing my business. Oh and yes. I was charged for drinks and the cheese. Im surprised they didnt try to charge us for the food. Just such a bad experience.
Tonight was our worst service yet. My husband and I patronize this restaurant every Friday night and its usually pretty decent. But tonight we had to send our wings back 3 times because they were under cooked!!! The manager was not very concerned or at least thats how it appeared. It was not a good service especially on the part of the manager!!
Standard Mecican fare. Great staff, fairly attentive. Weve been here several times. On the last visit, our waitress disappeared 30 solid minutes after we finished eating and we had to bother 3 separate servers for our check. She reappeared finally and we had to ask again for our check. It kept us out much later than expected.
The service was not good. The food was not good. And I have always gone to this location and have never had any problem . But Saturday night did it for me. Ask for cheese dip and it was cold sent it back and it came back cold. The food was not hot it was like it had been sitting their in the back for awhile.I will have to go to another location. Because I will not go back to the downtown location.I think they may have to go throw and get some different people that know what their doing.
Bad service. The description I read on the menu wasnt what was brought to me. Slow staff continued to ask another waiter for our waitress. I was one of a party of 2 so I dont understand why it was hard to be waited on. Mexican restaurants tend to either have really good food or really good drinks and this place had neither.
First of all service sucked, chips were cold and salsa sucked taste like water. Food comes out cold. Microwave food still cold. Waitress tells me to watch out for hot plate that is cold. Waitress never comes back to check on table or bring check. Gave a $3.00 tip only because you did come to table once. Never will I return.
Prices are low, which matches the quality of food and service. We were seated immediately, but that was about the only plus. The waiters, waitresses, and cooks were louder than the customers. Personally I believe if you are in a different room, I shouldnt be able to hear the conversations and jokes youre having. As for the food, everything for some reason was watery. Also my boyfriend had a wooden splinter in his tacos...the Mi Rancho location in Grovetown has far better food quality and service.
Horrible! Waited 5 min. to be seated bc the waitress was busy talking to a coworker. After we were seated we never saw our waitress again. Had to find another person who worked there to take our order, if my boys werent so hungry and wanting Mexican then we would have left.
Sister’s husband went and called us afterwards. He immediately threw up in the parking lot after not finishing his food and they refused it give him his money back unless he went to a doctor first. Pathetic. Disgusting. Something is OBVIOUSLY wrong with the food. Yelp reviews say similar things.
Service was not welcoming. Waitress apparently having bad day. She was not attentive during meal . Rushed for order to be placed in first place. Restaurant was not busy. All out bad expierience food was well let me just say we paid and left full plates ×3 minus upto maybe a total of 5 bites should I say taste. Will not ever return to this establishment.
This particular Mexican in the heart of the Downtown Augusta area is my personal favorite. I usually visit them for lunch and I always have had good experiences. The service, atmosphere, the food, and the value here are all outstanding. The menu is, like most Augusta area Mexican restaurants, not totally traditional and authentic but more like Tex-Mex. But I am alright with that.
My friend and I waited for forever to be seated. Once we were seated no one took our orders. No chips, dip ,or drinks. From where I was seating I could see if a server was coming our way. I saw a server come out with chips and dip for us, but turned around and gave them to a couple that was just seated. No one came to say anything to us to fix the issue. YES we left and will not be returning.
I’ve been here twice in the past few months and had the same experience both times. Walked in and sat at the bar when they were not busy and after no one speaking or helping me after 10-15 minutes I left. Mind you both times someone at the bar mad a drink for someone else right in front of me and said nothing to me. No wonder they weren’t busy!!!
Basically it sucked. Food took to long and whoever heard of a Mexican restaurant taking forever to serve food? It was cold. They brought beef when it was supposed to be chicken. Service was totally lacking and they were unapologetic for any problem. Wont go back. Ever.
I got take out from the down town restaurant. It was not busy at all . I went to pick it up too.. When I open it up the food was already been eaten on .It had balled up Paper straw wrapper and bits of corn tortillas in it. It was half empty too . It was a called in take out order. How can you get used food ???
Loud, busy filled with people of all ages from i fants to seniors. Service suffered. Long wait after which manager took order and disappeared. Grabbed a padding server who told us we would have to wait for our personTacos were okay, wings meh! Plastic cups and paper plates. oh, there was out door entertainment from an r & b amateur group. No hurry to go back.
I found a grass reed in one of tacos that tasted, and looked, like it was dipped into dishwater prior to being served. No, I dont want a go box for my microwaved tacos and refried beans. You could get better Mexican food from a taco bell. However, Mi Rancho in Grovetown is real good.
My lady went there with a friend. All though the food was just OK. The service was Atrocious.. if the servers are not people orientated they should not be servers and they should never disrespect a woman especially the woman Im in love with.. The staff needs to thank their lucky stars I wasnt there.
My food were terrible,my Taco Salad were aweful, the taco shell were cold,it was so watery, probably three or 4 pieces of lettuce, two small slices of tomatoes,I try ordering extra tomatoes,by the time I received them,it were like water running and the waitress, were aweful too,by the time my sister and sister n law gotten their food, everybody were getting ready to leave...Unless something changes in that place,I will never return and I deserve my money back, spoiled my niece birthday, she came all the way from Tennessee. Please you guys check it out yourselves.I wish I could rate -0
The wait staff is horrible!!!!!! waited almost 30 min for a menu had 3 different people waiting on us..not organized at all.. The staff has no customer service skills atleast thats how they acted..Those guys really need help or they are going to lose business!!! The location is a great spot they need to buckle down and get it together or GET GONE!!!!!!
Worst experience ever....waiting at bar over hr for seats for karaoke nobody would give us an update..so asked for table nobody would help...so we just sat down then nobody would wait on us...it got so bad I tried calling in my order which was told would be 40min wait and they cant do since I was there....had to find a manger to get a waiter...the food was good...All we wanted was some food and to sing smh never again.

2022-06-03Ive passed this place many times as I walk along the promenade by the river. I finally decided to stop in one beautiful evening in Augusta. The patio was about half full when I got there at 6:30. Be sure to go inside to request a table on the patio. The menu is extensive and includes all of the typical choices you have at Mexican restaurants just about anywhere in America. I chose chicken fajitas and an upgraded margherita. Service was not fast.. but it was a nice night so I didnt mind. The drink was served in a plastic cup which meant the rim salt was pretty much gone when I picked up the cup. The flavor was surprisingly not good. I waited about 20 minutes for my dinner. It was served on a hot sizzling skillet... just as you would expect. The serving was generous but unfortunately had no flavor. The chicken was bland and the peppers, etc. were definitely overcooked. The flour tortillas were warm but also lacking in flavor. BTW, as is typical, you get 3 tortillas but you can get more if you ask...but there is an extra charge. It took awhile to get the check. Note that you may be charged a 3% service fee for using a credit card. The place did fill up by the time I left and others seemed to be enjoying their meals. I was disappointed but that doesnt mean you will be. Give El Presidente a shot if you are in the area.

2022-02-04Was nasty. The beef is not seasoned nor does it taste like beef. The shrimp quesadillas are very lackluster and it’s just a hard tortilla with 2 shrimp and barely cheese.

2022-06-02As a family we were passing by during our travel. Was visiting the river walk and happen to find this Mexican restaurant close to river walk.Visited during the afternoon time, it was not crowded and we ordered soups and the other one was I guess it’s kind of fajita.Overall the food was great and the quantity was really large for us. Staff was friendly and the place was clean.Definitely will visit again if I am up for Mexican and I am near the river walk.

2022-01-31Went there on a cold Saturday afternoon. Not a lot of folks probably know about this place, but they should. Food was great with great flavor. Waiters were quick and pretty cool. Would recommend. You can go straight to the Riverwalk when done eating.

2022-03-17We’ve been regular customers, until today. Service charges added in additional to tip and that’s just the beginning. They’re not friendly to customers and make it difficult to even get a table. Not worth the hassle. The place has gone downhill!

2022-06-16Walked in, proceeded to the bar. We sat down and that was just that. The young lady behind the bar paid us NOOOOOOOO mind at all. She was so super focused on her phone. We sat there for at least 10 more minutes, still she never said anything. When I said excuse me, she asked had we been seated as if we were bothering her and whatever she had going on on her phone.....walled away and said NOTHING. Never offered us menus a drink or anything. Nor did she return. Idk what happened, but it was unexceptional

2022-03-26We waited for 5 minutes before being acknowledged.athe hostess was not polite at all. Several people passed by. Once seated, it took 10 minutes before a server came. Our food took a long time and then the server never came back. No drink refills or nothing. We had to ask for someone only to see the server was seated a few tables away. The manager tried to compensate our complaint with to go drinks. We most definitely will not be back

2022-05-06Margaritas were weak, food was so bland we had to add salt just to have some flavor. When we asked our waitress to take away our mostly full plates stating we didnt like the food, the manager simply said sorry, nothing we can do about it and walked off.

2022-06-05Food was delicious. Service was mediocre. Waited long for our our drinks and one of our party members received their food for at least 30 minutes. We hardly received refills for our drinks.

2022-05-01Food was terrible. 11$ for a medium lime margarita in a plastic solo cup. Spent 40$ for diarrhea and a half restarted server. Go to salsas people its 100 times better
