Visit went pretty well until I walked outside and couldn’t not see a thing. I was not given dark lens to protect my eyes. Like a dummy I should have known I was not going to be able to drive. In any event I did make it home. Just angry that I was not told ahead to have someone drive me. Hindsight is 20/20.
About two weeks ago I had a cataract removed from my right eye by Dr. Gayton. Today I went in for the two week checkup and ,drum roll if you please, I have 15/20 vision in the right eye (better than 20/20). Ive been wearing glasses since I was in the second grade, 56 years, so this is just remarkable! I am very pleased with the surgery Dr. Gayton preformed and the follow-up care I have received at Eyesite Associates. This is going to sound a little strange, but I am looking forward to the day my left eye needs its cataract removed! This is an update to the above review. Two days ago (nearly a year after the first paragraph) I had the cataract on my left eye remove by Dr. Gayton. This time around I was one of the first patients to be operated on by his new computer aided surgery machine. The two functions Dr. Gayton used were, one: break up the cataract and two: perform a laser surgery to correct my astigmatism. From there I went into the normal surgery room where Dr. Gayton removed my natural lens and installed a new lens. Currently, my left eye distance vision is equal to my right eye. My night vision is vastly improved, no glare! My slight double vision, due to the astigmatism, is a thing of the past. I really cant express how pleased I am with the results on both eyes. The only downside to the surgeries is I will now need reading glasses for reading and close work.If you have cataracts or other vision ailments and are sitting on the fence as to who to see in Warner Robins, Georgia, I highly recommend Dr. Gayton. This is my true story and I have not received anything in exchange for this review.
Deciding to purchase a premium set of eyeglasses after being unhappy with the one-hour places, I chose to visit the largest place in town. The staff was incredibly rude, the doctor was not pleasant, and the whole time I felt unwanted and unwelcome.Despite the experience, I chose to purchase my eyeglasses, spending several hundred dollars getting the frames and official Transitions lenses. Insurance for the glasses was NOT offered, which was worrisome. It should have been a red flag. Instead of the Transitions lenses I ordered, I received cheap lenses with darkening film applied to it, which started flaking off after several months.I considered suing the company for fraud, but it would have cost more money and time. Instead, Im writing this review to alert potential customers to stay far, far away from this local hellhole.
I had cataract surgery with follow up YAG and have been pleased with the results. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. Recently I had what turned out to be emergency retina problems and they bent over backwards getting me in to a specialist in Macon right away. My doctor was actually texting someone there in front of me. I drive an hour and a half to get to this center because Im so picky about my eyes.
Will lie and say they accept vision instead but they DO NOT. they billed me for the entire visit and claimed it was a co-pay and extea refraction fee. I called my insurance when I left and they never filed. Called Gaytons back and she said they do not except ANY vision insurance, they are only a specialist, and I was billed the entire visit. This was after they told me they did accept it when making the appt. Sneaky place.
@eyesight associates I am writing in regards to my experience at Eyesight Associates at the Warner Robins location . I recently visited this location and I must say i was pleased with check in,eye exam in the front but when I was called to the back by Dhestinyae Radford I was very concerned.Being an elderly patient she needs to know to have patience.I am afraid for the others she may treat wrongly as well. She is VERY rude in a passive aggressive way and tends to roll or head and snaps at patients which makes this nice business looks bad.I was pleased with the doctor at my visit just not this particular employee. But only thing that stood out was this employee ignorant unpleasant ways. she is snappy and doesnt thoroughly explain some terms that are used as if she expects an elderly patient to know medical terms.she was so irritated she was typing very loud as if she was having such a bad day. I am thinking about going to the BBB.I think Mr.Gayton needs to know what is going on because she really makes the business look bad.I would like to come back is why i wish to remain anonymous. I may go to the BBB to submit a review. I would need to post my information is the only hesitation I have because I am a patient looking to come back in the future and I dont want her to ever call me back in a room again. Hopefully she will be addressed and this does not go unnoticed. She was huffing and puffing and just really not nice. Its important to treat all with respect whether she thinks the patients are incompetent..I felt discriminated against because I was elderly and she felt she could talk to me any kind of way. Who asks a patient a question and rolls there neck with it with an attitude.Yes I could have asked for the supervisor right then but at that point I was just ready to finish my visit and leave and never come back thinking if she been getting away with this for so long will she just get a pat on the back. After seeing the eye doctor whom was really nice I just decided to go home without saying anything because I was over it by then. But as I think about my treatment and told my children of my experience they stated if I dont say anything they will because it was just wrong how I was treated. You all really need to look into how Dhestinyae Radford talks to patients!!! By the way that afro aint working for you hun and the too tight fitted attire.
Prescription medications were the most difficult to get due to no one following up on pharmacy requests even had my insurance company call the office ( dr. M on vacation and associates responsible for this area gone to lunch) SERIOUSLY HAVE ISSUES WITH THE WHOLE PROCESS

2022-06-24Had an eye exam scheduled here. I was told by the front staff that they could not look up my vision insurance information. They told me I could reschedule even though I had waited for so long for my initial appointment. I did make a short drive to another eye doctor that was able to pull up my information within 3 minutes and schedule me in as well.

2022-06-22Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! I will never go there again.. I was told I was charged a $40 copay to be seen but on the bill its showing I paid $40 of the $60 they charge for a fitting fee that I never agreed to. They sent a bill trying to charge an extra $20 for the fitting fee which the lady said they updated my prescription but would not give it to me because I didnt buy contacts or glasses from them. My eyes were not properly dilated and the Dr. rushed through the visit. I went and got a second opinion from Americas Best and Im glad I did. The service is terrible

2022-06-28We have been with Dr.Gayton for more than 30 years, great man! We now are experiencing very poor service on the front end. Trying to confirm or schedule an appt results in extremely long hold timesaving multiple calls.

2021-10-18Dr. Gayton and his office have been the best through my PRK surgery. I went from seeing almost nothing without glasses to everything without glasses. Dr. Gayton is truly an intelligent individual. I wouldnt want anyone else to operate on my eyes. 20-20 vision is fun! You should try it. :))))

2021-06-15First visit. Not exactly the friendliest bunch. Doctor did not introduce himself, was in a rush. Eyes were dialated, yet they did not give me any temp shades, despite me being told they would. Charged 40$ extra to get a prescription for glasses on top of my copay. The prescription was missing information, pupillary distance, which I am having to guess at. Could not print my prescription, so they emailed it. I would have liked to look at the frames in the office, but there was no offer to allow me to do so. Overall, despite a recommendation from a friend, I do not plan to return.

2021-06-25Was given a service for lazer cataract removal which was required only because it was using a lazer. Charged 75.00 copay and BC/BS PAID THE OTHER TO THE EYE ASSOCIATES.Scheduled appointment for lazer catarac surgery the next week. When we arrived at surgery center, we were informed that they no longer performed lazer surgery. No pre warning given. Drove an hour to get there and left without surgery as we needed this lazer to enhance the possible of seeing better and less complications in the future. They no longer had a lazer. Probably because they didnt pay their lease payment on the lazer. They still billed us for seventy five dollars and were rude to us when we said we did not owe it.They said they did the exam and we were going to pay for it.Then the turned it over to RCA debt recovery who was even more rude than the Dr. Office.I payed it only because they were going ruin my credit score.Everyone beware. They care very little for there patients, but love your money.I feel sorry for the workers in the office. They were nice. The billing and Doctors are only interested in the almighty $.

2020-05-22I used to like this place, but my most recent visit has left me displeased. The girl who did my initial eye testing first asked me if this was just a follow up. It had been two years since my last appointment. Why would she think it was a follow up. She also did some of the testing wrong, because when I was with the doctor in the other room he was going to change the power on my one eye although I have monovision contacts. Would she have not known this from my records. I thought it weird she wanted to test my left eye for distance when thats the one used for reading. I also was never informed that they now charge for a refraction fee. I have only paid for a contact fitting fee and all other charges were paid by my insurance. When I questioned it, both the girl I paid at checkout and the girl I called today had to ask someone like as if its a new made up fee. My faith in this place has been shattered and its sad because I really like Dr Grogan.

2020-11-19I was sent here about 4 years ago when I was put on a glaucoma suspect list. Needless to say when you go the doctor, any doctor, you want someone that is thorough about the overall health and any concerns that may be there. Despite switching doctors within the office, I never received that.Fast forward to currently, I moved to Texas and was due for an eye exam. I was fureiated that I had to move to a whole new state just to get a doctor that not only explains everything in great detail so I may understand, but to also tell me information that shouldve been told me along time ago, like having cadiracts since birth. Not only am I being educated on the overall health of my eyes I was given different things I can do that will help me see and be better.I cant say you all suck because of my personal experience, but Gaytons office needs to find the passion again because my well being was not top priority.

2020-08-04The worst. They do not know the difference between ptosis surgery and Blepharoplasty. They insist that you must have a cataract surgery in order to get Blepharoplasty. Completely unnecessary and gouging. Beware.Update since google won’t let me remove the review. Dr. Gayton did see me. The person on the phone clearly didn’t know what she was talking about. My experience with the staff today was friendly and informative, If you can get past the phone people, I believe you will have a good experience.
