Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Augusta Fort Gordon Area in Augusta
The decor was nice, and the room was fresh and clean. We usually have to pay additional for microwave and fridge, and a lot of hotels dont even offer them not even for a fee, but the microwave and fridge were included in the reasonable room fee. I slept too late every day to take advantage of the free breakfast, but I was glad that it was included in the room fee, as well. Oh, I almost forgot, we got fresh baked cookies when we arrived and when we left, and they were delicious. All these perks were good, but the best perk was Travis at the front desk. He was so professional, helpful and upbeat - not just with my group, but I witnessed him interact with other guests and he was just so friendly and just a wealth of information. I enjoyed my visit with my niece in Augusta, but I would come back to sit and just chat with Travis. It was like talking to an old friend. Travis, thanks for making our trip so pleasurable. The Olivers
The staff here was amazing! I especially thank Travis with helping us with suggestions for local eateries. Although I can remember any other staff names; they were ALL cordial and helpful, including housekeeping! Also, we were in Augusta for Fort Gordon graduation/visit. Fort Gordon is only minutes away from Gate 1 where the visitors center is located; super convenient if you need a place to stay off base.
For the price the hotel was fine, the staff was priceless one in particular, his name was Travis, that young man knew his business. Customer service is hard to find these days but I must say he was a gem. This was my first time staying at a Fairfield Inn and my first time in August, he made both worthwhile.
I always stay at this location when I visit Augusta and I refer my friends. It’s not a 5 star yet I’ve had a better experience with cleanliness and the staff than I’ve had in other Augusta hotel. They don’t cover up a crappy hotel with pretty colors. They actually provide a good service.
I changed my 5 stars to 3 stars due to issues with cleanliness the last 2 visits: the shower wasnt cleaned well on one visit and on the last visit I found used towels piled in the closet. I would give less stars for this but their front desk staff is great. Their location is convenient to I-520 and their price is reasonable. Im just disappointed in the change in cleanliness, especially during COVID.
This Fairfeild is a little dated. The location is OK OK base but it is sandwiched in with 5 other hotels. Pulling up theres always a car (of the staff) parked under the overhang. You might get a cart you might not. The entry way was clean and the stuff nice - they were very accommodating. And the pool was closed. When we walked into our room it was aged. Sockets had busted ports so cables and plug in strewn about. No fan in bathroom. Rust on the lamp. Just an aged hotel.
Worst bed Ive ever slept on. My husband and I kept waking up in pain and could hardly move. Hower, the conseair working then night we checked in was super!!! He was also working the next morning doing double duty at the desk and trying to stock the breakfast area the next morning; he was very pleasant but had to keep getting items we needed from the back, evidently someone was not doing their job. We were the only people eating and soon found out why....your breakfast leaves something to be desired.
I stayed here for almost a month, and it was a great experience for an extended stay. The hotel staff were all helpful, professional, and friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate the guests. The rooms are clean and there is enough room to spread out. The fitness room is small, but there is enough equipment to get in a good workout when needed. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends and colleagues.
This is a pretty nice hotel though they get five stars through the strength of their staff. Everyone was super nice and very helpful. I especially wanted to point out Ken and Ashley both of whom work at the front desk. Ken was able to assist me in modifying my reservation which better supported my family making the stay much more enjoyable. I purchased and requested a few items that we ran out of and Ashley was always very cheerful and nice and offered to bring up the requested items to my room. Both were exceptional professionals and I wish more people were even have as pleasant to interact with as they were. The pool was closed and it was something specifically booked the hotel for but it was a maintenance issue that seemed to be fixed much sooner than Ive experienced at other hotels. Breakfast was enjoyable and offered a good variety. Room was clean and fresh smelling. Overall, Id highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying at it again in the future.
Hotel and room were clean and smelled great the entire time. No noise issues during my 5 night stay. Breakfast wasnt too bad for a complimentary set up. Eggs seemed like they were out of a carton and bacon was like paper, but honestly the breakfast was more than adequate. Will stay again no problem.
The hotel itself was nice, very clean and modern looking. However I had two issues during my stay that keep me from giving a higher rating: 1) the bed was hard as a rock and I woke up with lower back pain. 2) I had trouble with the wifi. Most of the time when I attempted to log into it, it said unable to join network on my phone/tablet/laptop. If I did manage to get onto the wifi network, I was only connected for a few minutes before it would kick me off. However the manager (I think her name was Sharon) was very kind and helpful when I informed her of the issue and offered to take the charge off my bill if I needed to upgrade to the paid wifi service - didnt end up doing it because I didnt spend an enormous amount of time in the room, but appreciated the offer.
The room we received was having issues in the bathroom as water was not flowing properly. Since it was a late check in and we are only staying for a night and leave early in the morning, it was reported during the check out process as we dont want to waste time in repair. Need to take bath standing on the dirty water as it was not flowing properly. Breakfast items did not feel fresh and most of them were not to the Marriott standard. Except me eating a little, every other person in the trip skipped the breakfast which was unusual as we are very familiar with the Fairfield Inn breakfast and quality of that. Overall not very satisfied with the stay. Good thing they honored the Augusta University Rate code. Hotel seems to be overpriced for the quality.
I was very pleased with this property. The room was nicely appointed, the bed was comfortable, quality toiletries, towels and linens, and the breakfast met my expectations. Im returning to the area in a few months and will make it a point to stay there again. They pay attention to the million little details that can make all the difference between a good stay and a bad stay. Well done, Fairfield!2nd Stay - Feb. 2020 : A recent stay was my second and I continue to be very impressed with this property. Fairfield is a brand that offers incredible value, but I dont get a budget feel from them. Front desk and housekeeping staff are warm, professional and appreciate your business. Everyone wore smiles, which says a lot to me. The room and bed were very comfortable, and the mini-fridge was big enough to keep my road beverages well chilled for the trip home. Didnt use the microwave or coffeemaker. The TV lineup offers a good variety of selections. Coffee and cookies (yum!) are available 24-7 in the lobby. LOVE their complimentary breakfast. The breakfast buffet provides plenty of choices for most diets. You can eat healthy or indulge yourself, and they make sure the serving dishes are well stocked. Next time Im in Augusta, Ill return to this Fairfield Inn.
It has been pretty quiet here, mainly due to people not traveling due to Coronavirus, but overall, this stay has been uneventful. Everything was as expected except the air conditioner in the room, which was pretty loud. The loudness caused us to have to turn the TV up in order to hear it everytime the air came on. It definitely worked well so we didnt compain but it was rather loud. We havent interacted with the staff, except to check in, as there are no regular cleanings of the room. I would stay here again but know to expect comfort and not luxury.
Let’s start with the staff is friendly and facility appears clean. First night stay AC barley worked but not the issue. I went to bed to get early rest and woke up to being covered in ants. I never had food in the room and showered prior to going to sleep. I did not notice any prior to going to sleep but woke up to them climbing on anything left on floor and in the bed. To the front desk they did move my room and claimed they will have the room sprayed however I see this being a larger issue. On travel for work. Would not recommend. Also for the cost your breakfast is an apple and breakfast bar where knowing that due to covid many hotels hot breakfast is paused however I have seen better breakfast Togo’s.
I realize it is COVID-19 time of season, but breakfast was fast, but not very good and no options if you dont drink coffee. Guest room door did not lock ( kind of important). Worked on it a little bit, but not reliable, then told us they would fix it after our stay was over.
Simply a great and pleasant staff. The hotel and rooms were clean, like I mean clean, not just wiped down with a dirty rag and mop like so many do this place is nice and clean. Hopefully they keep it that way. Now the breakfast was just excellent, they had real bacon that was fired crisp, like it should be! We had a great stay.
The new renovations are great. The staff other than the lady working when I checked in were wonderful. The location is good, but there is not place to get anything to eat unless you want to drive over 3 miles away. Which isnt bad but when you are traveling all you want to do is get something close to eat and get in your room to relax. It is not the hotels fault on this issue though. I have stayed here before and knew to expect this, so I stopped at an exit a few miles up to get something for supper.I would still stay here again if the need arises. It is a nice quite location. It is safe and just of the interstate.
My room was clean the staff was ok the people don’t smile they alway look mad .I asked housekeeping for a towel and the girl told me I can’t have anything off her cart while she was swinging her dirty braids . She was very nasty I guess cause she was ready to go home .I would never come back there again .
The overall cleanliness and maintenance of this hotel was refreshing. Staff always offered a friendly greeting with a smile. The one minor issue I encountered with Internet connectivity was resolved quickly. I would like to see a stationary bicycle in the fitness room. I would also like to see vegan-friendly options, such as almond milk, available for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, though, the breakfast area was very comfortable and clean, and the woman working there seemed to take great pride in her work.
This was my second stay in three months and I’m still very pleased. From check-in to check-out and everything in between, this property met and exceeded my expectations. I appreciate the fact that they don’t skimp on their breakfast buffet. There was a good variety of choices, all well-prepared. I have only positive memories of this Fairfield.
My stay at fairfield inn and suites Augusta fort Gordon was wonderful. But I was quoted one price with tax and city fees. But was charged an extra $30.00 and I Don’t have an explanation of why. I don’t have a problem paying I just need to know what I’m being charged extra for. $30.00 extra. When it wasn’t included in my total bill.
I enjoyed the consideration that goes into everything being clean, orderly, and well maintained. I especially like the consideration of them having two bottles of Fiji water in the room. Breakfast was not bad it was well balanced and fresh. The staff was always polite when I had cause to interact with them.
The desk clerks were polite and helpful upon walking into the establishment. The hotel was neat and clean. The hotel could be seen from the highway which made it easy to find. The room was small but comfortable. I would have no problem referring this hotel to friends who come to visit.
I spent 12 nights at the Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites on Gordon Hwy during my latest business trip to the Augusta area. From the minute I entered the hotel the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I cant emphasize enough how friendly the staff was; from the counter attendant, breakfast bar attendant, maids, and other staff. These people are GREAT!. I can tell that their main focus was to make my stay at their hotel my best experience ever. Now, the room. The room was great. it was clean, fresh feeling, carpet was clean, bed mattress was a memory foam one that was great. I slept very comfortably every night. Everything was like brand new. The noise was not an issue at all; the room was very quiet even though it was facing Gordon Hwy. Room service was top notch; my room was clean and fresh-felling every day. One more thing about the reception staff; they stopped everything they were doing to greet me WITH A SMILE every evening when I returned to the hotel. Specially the girl with reddish curly hair; she was very cheerful and helpful all the time. She helped me with references to local restaurant; she went out of her way to do that. That really made my day. I appreciate all it was done by this hotels staff and management to make my stay at the Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites on Gordon Hwy in Augusta a very memorable one. Thank you.
Im staying at this hotel as I enter this review. The minute I walked in I knew it was going to be a good experience. The lobby was bright, modern and cheerful. Ice water and coffee available all day. There was a popcorn machine with fresh popped popcorn which was delicious. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything on first level. Swimming pool, whirlpool, workout room and laundry. Outdoor patio perfect for reading and soaking up some sun. Perfect. My room was clean, with fridge/ microwave. I returned late in evening to hotel and felt secure. Front door secured and opened by desk personnel. Parking and complimentary continental breakfast a plus and must have in my case. This hotel has it!!! I recommend this hotel and will stay here whenever I travel to Augusta.
This place was above my expectations. As soon as we walked in it was inviting. It was so neat and cleaned. We was greeted as soon as we approached the front desk. Our room was huge. Everything was neat and cleaned. The bathroom was bigger than I expected. It was so neat and cleaned. Even the elevator and hallways were neat and cleaned. WOW!!!! I would recommend this Hotel to anyone.
This is perspective of a person who has traveled extensively internationally and lived overseas for two years! Entire staff was courteous, polite and very friendly! They were very helpful in any request that we made and provided a response, or product quickly. Breakfast area was so well maintained, I decided to use the term benchmark, because the folks responsible for the food area and dining area provided a clean, and comfortable environment! Never ran out of coffee in the three mornings we enjoyed breakfast at this facility! This facility has my highest recommendation for future business!
The front desk employee did not give much information upon our arrival and the pool did not have a hot tub, although we were under the impression it would because it was advertised as having one. Other than that though, the service was good and the room was cozy. We had everything we needed.
Stay was excellent. One of the best I have stayed in around a military installation. Room was great. Breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent. Check in and check out were very good and staff attention to detail was exceptional. Being a severely physically challenged military retiree, could not ask for a better experience. Keep up the good work. Food items available at the front desk were very pricey.
Always clean with all the amenities I need; even an indoor pool. Conveniently located with many restaurants, stores and malls a short easy drive away. And like all Marriott properties I stay at, the staff is very very friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed here so often over the years they know and accommodate all my needs.
This worked out for us to stay one night in 2 adjoining rooms while dropping our son off to Fort Gordon. Beds were only full size- seemed small. One toilet had been used and not flushed. Hotel staff checking rooms walked in unannounced. Breakfast was nice and staff was helpful.
Stayed it for one night and I’m never coming again ! The pool was closed yet the price is included for the pool, the AC was not working there AC was mention sensor so all day it’s hot and when the customers come in they feel the customers movement and it slowly starts to work ... It was at 73 I called the front desk and they said they couldn’t help.... They also didn’t have breakfast even though that was also included in there hotel ...I paid about. $130 to sleep here and it was horrible !!!!!! Find some other place to sleep because it was a horrible experience !
My experience at the Fairfield was a great one. I would recommend this hotel for an event. The lobby is very spacious so getting my bike and my bags in and out was not a problem. Breakfast was a good variety of foods which most are healthy options. I would recommend for families to go ahead and get a suite for the room needed for personal belongings and comfort. I was fortunate to get bumped up to a suite and glad that I did because I needed the rest before and after my race. I dont think I would have recovered as quickly if I didnt have the extra room. Im sure the money is worth doing this. However, my one problem is that the breakfast bar will not be open before the race so plan on bringing your own food or going somewhere else to get pre race food. The staff is pleasant and willing to help in any way they can.. I felt special being greeted with a bag of goodies upon my arrival. I felt like a pro athlete. lol... as if they were expecting me to show up. Great hotel.. not far from the race site and other food options.
The hotel lobby, room, and breakfast area was in good condition. I did not see any bugs, roaches, or bedbugs. The room was spacious, quiet, and clean. The breakfast was one of the best I had ever experienced at any hotel. The area was safe. There were lots of military personnel, which also suggested the stay would wonderful.
Very nice hotel. Heated pool, while not really very warm, was in a climate controlled room that made swimming comfortable. Whirlpool was very warm; located outside. Rooms were nice and front desk staff was nice. Only thing that happened that was unpleasant was someone knocked on our door and woke us up even with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door (it wasnt housekeeping, and we have no idea what he needed).
I stayed here for a business trip. The staff members are very pleasant. I lost my chanel brooch while staying here and did not notice till I got home. I called the next day, they had found it and kept it in a safe and shipped it overnight to me. Thats first class customer service and honesty wrapped in one. I will definitely stay here again!
The hotel is what you would expect for its price range but we are highly upset being that we booked this hotel in advance specifically because we were in town for a music conference and were traveling with kids and this hotel had an indoor pool option. We knew after being in meeting spaces all day the kids would want to be able to burn some energy somewhere. To our dismay the pool was out the entire time we were here!! No explanation from staff, no apology- nothing. Just that is was closed indefinitely. The jets were working and there was no overwhelming chemical smell or anything that would lend to understanding since the staff was rather unhelpful in that department, just a closed sign on the pool door.
I have stayed man times in this property, so there were no surprises, which is good. Everything is clean, the staff is very nice, but if you cant get an upgrade, the rooms are small. The bed is a typical Marriott bed, which is excellent as hotels go, the breakfast is good but fairly basic. I would stay here in the future when I have business in the area.
My hotel stay was great from the time I checked in until I checked out. The entire staff was very courteous and my room was clean. Your trip will not be complete without talking to the lady who works the breakfast area. Wonderful spirit!!!Thanks for the great experience!!!!!
Upon check in it was discovered that there was a mix up with our reservations. The staff quickly resolved the problem and was very friendly while correcting the problem in an adequate manner. They upgraded our room to a suite so there was a pull out bed to use. The pull out left a little to be desired and should probably have the mattress replaced, but overall our stay was wonderful and your staff should be commended for a great job fixing a problem expeditiously and in a polite manner. We will be back to your establishment
We are so happy to have a room this close to the Masters. We have been treated so warmly by the staff. The gentleman on evening check-in duty was so friendly and professional, making sure to tell us of the many perks available to us. The breakfast bar has options for Paleo, vegetarians, and vegans. The coffee ranges from strong (and perfect) to lighter for those who like that. There is a good-sized indoor pool some grandparents were treating their kiddos to and the noise to the hallway was minimal. It is a clean, well-located hotel staffed by terrific folks. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the firm mattress (my husband doesnt consider that a draw-back).
This was my first visit to the new Fairfield and I was extremely pleased. The staff was pleasant and accommodating as I was able to check-in early. The room was spotless as I have always experienced at any Marriott property. The AAA price was great for the area as well. Its not located in a high traffic area since it sits back from the main thoroughfare. I highly recommend this location for your next stay in Augusta.
If was actually a great hotel, the wifi is free and fast. The indoor pool is nice. The room was very clean. The only complaint I could find is that the Windows are not thick so you can hear some of the cars passing. Overall I would recommend this hotel If you are staying in the area.
The hotel was well kept and everything was up to date. They have a pool and hot tub as well that were both very pleasant. The workers were all polite and welcoming. They had breakfast served here as well with a nice selection to choose from. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!
Very clean hotel, rooms are awesome,u can tell they were very detailed and properly maintained. If i can change something it would be the breakfast lady,Mary! Shes the only problem that hotel has. (Beware)!!!but on the bright side, the Spanish lady in breakfast makes my morning, shes the best!(Mrs.Ann)I give them 5 stars.😉
This hotel is easy to locate and convenient to major roads. The staff was friendly and did their best to meet your needs. Breakfast was adequate with choices of both hot and cold. I did not try the eggs or waffles... Hot cereal was grits. I am used to both choices of grits and oatmeal, but the latter is likely more popular up North. They did provide fresh fruit and yogurt for those who want a more nutritious choice. My only complaint is that the bed was soft and a bit lumpy. However, I was exhausted and it did not have an effect on my sleep!
Wonderful staff and has a great feeling the hotel. The only disappointment was there were 2 bottles of Fuji water placed in each room that if you consumed it there would be a charge of $3.00 per bottle. Not even at the convenience stores are the water that expensive. The indoor pool was amazing and it was a great stay over all
The staff is a pleasure to be around. The lady at breakfast during the week is outstanding. However, that is where it all ends on the positive side. The rooms are very dated. My tv cuts in and out constantly. I had to use my phone to watch any type of tv the 2 weeks I am currently staying here. My trash has piled up and not been taken out and I am on day 8 of 14. I am currently taking out the trash and changing my own linens after I went downstairs to ask for some since they only make the beds around here. I also asked for a vacuum but they would not get me one as they said someone will be up shortly with on. This is hands down the worst and nastiest Marriott properties I have ever stayed at. I stay on Marriott properties everytime I travel for work but after this I guess I am going to have to go somewhere else from now on.
Its was my first time staying at the Fairfield Inn and Suites near Ft Gordon in Augusta Ga. I was very impressed with the friendliness and professionalism during my short stay. The hotel rooms were clean and the morning breakfast area was very well maintained and kept clean at all times.I highly recommend the location for a good rate while staying in Augusta.
Awesome Awesome staff, very nice and very friendly and courteous. I really enjoyed the early mornings when I was having coffee at 0430 hrs in the morning having awesome conversations with the elderly woman who was preparing breakfast, she has been working there for quite a number of dedicated years ( I want to say maybe 14 years if I stand correct), but, she is a wonderful wonderful person that I enjoyed our conversations.Thank you so much and Im looking forward to more reservations with you.Thank you God Bless and be safe!Jason
I have stayed twice at this location and find it a very comfortable and easy spot for my business travels. The staff is very attentive, rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast is plentiful. I will stay here again, but Ill request the side of the building away from the road, since its a little noisy for me.
Promised a crib for our baby upon check in for our 3 night stay. Excuse after excuse and no crib for 2 nights. Had to make a makeshift bed on the floor for our baby. Also, bath tub and shower water were brown. Told to let the water run but it didnt seem to help so we went sans shower.
Booked this hotel online and when we arrived they had given our room away and had to stay in a one bed suite with 2 Kids and 2 adults. The elevator smelled like Marijuana, there were pubes all over the floor in the bathroom, when pulling out the sofa bed for my kids the sheets were dirty and the mattress on the sofa bed was about 2 inches thick. We received a call at 7am, someone claiming to be the front desk started asking us for our billing info. About 30 mins later housekeeping tried to come into our room without knocking. The guy who checked us in told us breakfast was from 6am to 11am. At 930am I went downstairs for breakfast and they said it ended at 9am and laughed about it. I asked housekeeping for towels and they never brought any. I dont recommend this place to anyone, stay at the Hilton instead. They serve breakfast till 11am and are much cleaner.
A beautiful location with a beautiful staff, this Fairfield Inn is a little further from where I work while in Augusta and there are many other hotels that are closer, I prefer to stay here because how well I am treated and how the staff goes out of their way to make sure that everything is perfect. I actually stayed here twice during two leisure trips because of the family friendly atmosphere and environment. Top notch and very enjoyable. Great staff.
I always stay at Fairfield Inn when Im in Augusta. Im a Rewards member and always stay at a Marriott when I travel because every property is clean, neat and comfortable. The breakfast here is tremendous in terms of variety; and you must try the grits, they are fantastic! Great internet connection and a very comfortable bed lets me get a good nights sleep. Plus its conveniently located to a wide variety of restaurants just up the road. And, as always, you get the friendly, helpful Marriott staff who will go out of their way to make you feel at home away from home. Exercise room and pool help relaxing after work.
This was by far the best experience ever. What started out as a disaster of a vacation with our family was rescued by the unbelievable staff at this hotel. They were the friendliest, most accommodating folks we have ever met. We go out of our way to stay at Fairfield Hotels when we travel. Thanks again to the wonderful staff! You saved our vacation. BTW, the breakfast was pretty dang good...loved the grits.
My TV did not work after I trouble shot some basics. I was actually glad about it because I was really tired and had a long day the next day. It forced me to go to bed. I didnt even mention it to the desk but I realize this may have not been good for the next person who got that room. I should have told the desk. I was also disappointed there was no hot tub at this location but the exercise room and pool were all in great working condition/order. I will be staying here again as this is a nice hotel compared to the others in the area. Breakfast staff and food was really well done!
It is a nice place to stay. The single king size bed room that I am in is just the right size. The only gripe that I have is the location of the building. It is next to a highway, therefore you hear a lot of road noise in the mornings and evenings. Other than that, the service is outstanding.
I currently been here 3 days and the housekeeping is horrible. My room hasnt been vacuumed in 2 days and bed half made. Debris from the previous night was on the floor the evening I return. The TV is absolutely horrible. Its darker than night and theres no remote precisely for a specific TVs and I understand sometimes incident happened. But no back up remote for the TV. And to change the color is no available on the TV. And the room is least of the pictures posted on its website. Absolutely ridiculous.
Ive stayed here on a few occasions and the place has always been clean, quiet, and the staff courteous. Breakfast is standard (cereal, waffle iron, frozen biscuits, etc). On one occasion, there were no towels for the pool, staff said they were out for the day, but the next morning they hadnt washed or received any clean towels.
My stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites on Gordon Highway was very worth the money. This was my second time staying at this hotel, and both have been exceptional. The staff is very helpful and friendly, with a smile on their faces. The breakfast area is very well kept and there are plenty of options to choose from. The rooms have very comfortable beds. The closet has room to store extra things and suitcases in as well. Overall, I have enjoyed both of my stays at the Fairfield Inn and I look forward to staying again sometime in the near future.
From the beginning, our stay went bad. I was given one rate and then was charged $60 more. The attendant said she told me but I dont remember that at all. At first, my reservation could not be found and I had to wait upon my arrival to check in. When I got to the room, wifi didnt work because my last name was spelled incorrectly. They have complimentary breakfast but the fruit is not fresh, the sausage taste questionable and the waffle mix was way too thick. I have a bumpy rash on my neck, 8 days counting since I left which I assume came from either some critters in the sheets or an irritation from how the sheets are cleaned. The carpet felt wet when I walked from the bed to the bathroom so I had to wear shoes the entire time I was in the room...it was not a good experience. I will say that housekeeping did respond right away to try to make the pullout sofa more comfortable for my daughter to sleep on! They did a great job with that :)
My experience at Fairfield Inn was absolutely phenomenal. When I first walked through the doors my spirit was immediately uplifted with the eye engaging colors design and scenery. All the front desk clerks had smiling faces and were eager to assist me. The hotel is immaculate!! 5stars!!! When I arrived to my room I received a phone call to insure that everything was great. That truly means a lot when youre solo on business. The room was stunning!!! Everything was perfect. Very cozy, relaxing, comfortable, assessable, peaceful atmosphere. Thanks for the healthy breakfast selection. I highly recommend Fairfield Inn to my friends family and co-workers. I will be back. I was visiting from out of town Savannah Morning News on business. All 10s ++++++ from me.
We were only traveling through, but as in the past, we have always gotten a good nights sleep & an excellent breakfast during our stays. Augusta Fairfield was no exception. Staff was friendly, helpful and made our stay pleasant and they seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Everyone that we encountered on the staff and maintenance (remodeling) was very pleasant and friendly.
The hotel looks fresh from the outside and the trend continues to the lobby. In my opinion this were the fresh ends. My room needed to be swept the curtains had coffee looking stains almost top to bottom. That said, I travel a lot and always check the bed. It appeared clean and the bed was comfortable. Who know perhaps the guests before spilled his coffee and biscuits everywhere. Given I have a customer in the area Ill need to find another Marriott hotel
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone under current management and crew. The hotel has been trained to look a certain standard but pulling back the veil is filthy. With two room changes we found dirty, towels, uncleaned sheets, unclean smell on the sheets and pillow cases. Toliet nasty. By the 2nd room change I was done.
This was my second time staying here while on business. I just love it! Super CLEAN, very modern, friendly staff, nice pool, (workout room is a bite small), safe location but most impressive is the continental breakfast. Its by far the best spread Ive experienced, and Ive been around. Awesome, perfect need I say anymore?
Fairfield Inn was very accommodating. Lena made sure our group members were all on the same floor. When we arrived our rooms were ready, the keys were available with each group members name on them. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast the next morning gave us a variety of options and with our large group the breakfast items never ran out. We will definitely stay here again.
The only thing that I would personally recommend would be a discounted rate for those coming into Augusta from out of town for a medical exam/procedure (many other places do) The only problem was that the vending area in the lobby wasnt stocked so there wasnt much of a selection for drinks/snacks. The continential breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. The bed and pillows were very comfortable which is very important to us. The room was clean..also important!
I have stayed in a Fairfield Inn & Suites before but it was nothing like this one in Augusta. This hotel is beautiful and one of the most, if not the most, clean rooms I have ever stayed in. Completely comfortable and relaxing. Check-in and check-out were very efficient. Staff was courteous and friendly. This will be the hotel for all future comparisons.
We evacuated here for storm. I was so disappointed! There was no breakfast food either time we went down. When youd ask the lady in charge, she had a horrible attitude! I felt I was overcharged! I could have stayed in a newer hotel down the street and prices was lots cheaper and was even discounting people who had evacuated because of storm. Ill never stay again! Im giving 2 stars only because at Least I was safe from storm!
In relation to other Fairfield Inns that I have stayed at, this one is second from the top of the list. I have been a consultant for 12 years and have traveled all over the U.S., so I do have first hand experience in making this claim. The hotel is nicely appointed and is located near an interstate highway. The staff are friendly and accomodating. The hotel has an indoor pool and a work out room. The breakfast options are second to the best Ive seen here in the U.S. I highly recommend this hotel!
I came to this facility for a changeover in preparation to go to a seminar nearby. The F airfield was an excellent choice and I was thoroughly satisfied with the the plant as well as the service provided. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The cafe attendant was also very friendly and helpful and the overall plant was very clean and well kept. I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to others.
Ive stayed at FairFields all over the country and none were as nice as this! They really take care of you for the MASTERS tournament with a free nightly BBQ with alcohol, an on-time shuttle, and a relaxing indoor pool! Great bed and a very good shower head as well as right off the interstate.
If youre going to be stationed at Fort Gordon, if you need a hotel close to the airport, or just visiting, this is a good choice. The rooms were very clean and clean smelling, check-in/out was simple and friendly and they have a decent free breakfast. Free breakfast is always a plus, I just wish someone could do eggs right. I would have liked a better tv selection and a little bigger fridge, especially for a week stay but wherever. Places to eat are a bit of a drive, however the selection was not bad. Check it out when your in town.
We did evacuate from Wilmington,NC and did make it to the Fairfield inn just to be lucky to find a Room !Freindly Check inn and so far all great.Unfortunately it was 1am and we just made it up into the Room ,only to find 1 Towel in the Room and the Bar of Soap being wet in the Box !Also one of the Bed/Mattresses was very worn out towrds one side which gave me the feeling from rolling out in the Night!Breakfast is included but do not expect much!Stuff is friendly and helpfulWe did not report the issues in the room as we were way to tired after the long ride !
After reading the reviews discussing traffic vs. train noise problems, i discussed this with the person who checked me into the hotel. The 4th floor seemed like a good way to get as far away as possible from either type of noise. Unfortunately, the room given us was below a noisy HVAC unit which kept my roommate awake for a good part of the night. I have some hearing loss and could not hear it, so I was sleeping fine. While the hotel staff was always very pleasant and they were quick about getting us moved to a different room once we called them about it, the hotel boasts 100% satisfaction. There is no way to be 100% satisfied when youve had to change rooms in the middle of the night, but Ive never received a followup call from the manager with any kind of offer to refund my reward night or even give me some extra rewards points in compensation.
Rooms a little bit smaller than other comparable hotels. Found a womens halter top in a drawer, a half eaten bag of popcorn in another drawer and something unidentifiable in the freezer compartment of the fridge from previous guests. Got two bottles of conditioner instead of one shampoo and one conditioner. TV reception was horrible and every channel would pixelate every few minutes. Supposedly had HBO but it said, no service. Didnt have a do not disturb card and had to ask the front desk for one, but they couldnt find one. Free WiFi with an Internet cable at the desk, but that cable did not work. Maybe these problems were just in room 213 and your room would be just fine, but I wouldnt count on it. Thank goodness I didnt have to spend too much time at the hotel, otherwise I would have left and gone elsewhere. This place needs alot more detail in its housekeeping service. Did have a fairly good breakfast, but juice machine was, out of order.
My family planned a stay here and had car trouble during our stay. The kind staff allowed us to stay all afternoon as we waited for our vehicle to be fixed. It goes along way for parents of 3 boys to have somewhere to relax and let the kids to play in the pool instead of sitting in the waiting room of the repair shop all day. Exceptional service by this great hotel!
This hotel is conveniently located a short distance from shopping and restaurants at the intersection of two main highways. The hotel itself is very well maintained and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If you get a King suite, youll get a micro-fridge and microwave that the double suites dont have. The breakfast is superb with a large variety of hot, cold and healthy breakfast favorites. If you like grits, the grits here are to die for: some of the best Ive ever had!
We were three adults and I wanted a larger room so I reserved a suite. Very disappointed in the size of the unit and the pull out sofa was old and even sagged at the foot end. this sofa was also sagging in the middle so not even comfortable as a seat, let alone a bed. No room to move around with the bed open for our third person, so not at all what I would consider a suite which I expected to be roomy. Tiny refrig, not a mini, tiny. No exhaust fan in the bathroom though the bathroom was spacious, but we needed the space in the room. Over priced due to the Ironman event so I had expected better for the price.
I would highly recommend the Fairfield Inn in Augusta, GA to anyone in need of a room. It was conveniently located with excellent staff, service and amenities. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was great and offered a great selection. A+ for hospitality, Cleanliness and Staff!!
Had to find a hotel in the middle of the night and tried a few hotels in the area but a lot of them were just not flexible enough and some were completely deserted so I have to say the Fairfield Inn was a life saver. The staff is super attentive and the entire hotel felt clean and updated, would totally recommend to anyone looking for a secure stay especially now
The staff at this hotel will sell you an inflated rate citing amenities in the room that are simply not there. They will prey on your unfortunate circumstances and use it as an opportunity to upsell you on room features that do not exist. Beware of the room type you request and check the features before reserving.
This was a nice hotel well maintained and the breakfast bar was inviting as well as the exercise and pool facilities. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. However; the area of town seemed a bit isolated. Maybe they are just building up this area, but it is easy access to the major interstates and highways.
Front desk personnel very friendly and accommodating. Very clean and quiet hotel. Definitely will stay again when returning to Augusta. Close to Ft. Gordon. Direct access to Bobby Jones or Hwy 520 which takes you to Washington Road, the mall, and nice eateries on Wheeler/Wrightsboro Road.
Overall this is a good location. I have stayed 3 times before. I didnt like that as a silver elite member I wasnt able to check in at 2:15 p.m. and had to wait until 3:00 p.m. I told the check in clerk that I needed to check in so that I could attend a meeting at 3:00 but that didnt seem to matter to him.
Poor customer service from individuals at desk, I booked thru a third party, hotel staff kept saying I HATE Priceline which to me is very unprofessional, I had to pay an extra $6 plus $17 for incidentals. Online I paid for two queens and a sofa bed and I was not granted this at the Fairfield inn, I will never book thru a third party nor will I book with Fairfield Inn, as we walked out we could hear the staff laughing loud and acting as though they didn’t care it wasn’t their problem, I’m not a racist but i can’t deal with people of color when it comes to business they are unprofessional
The motel location was very easy to get to from the freeway & from Gordon Highway. The rooms were neat and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The desk clerk on duty when I arrived was very helpful in giving me directions to several areas I needed to go to while I was there. Her directions were spot on!!!!!!!!!
I recently had an overnight stay at the Fairfield of Augusta on Gordon Highway. The value that I received for the money that I spent was an acceptable exchange. The courtesy of the individuals was outstanding and they all displayed a very pleasant attitude. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in and around the Augusta, Georgia area. See you on a future trip.
The hotel is nice, new and clean. The staff are excellent. When you stay here, ask for an odd numbered room. The even numbered rooms are on the side of the hotel facing the nearby highway and you will be hard pressed to relax due to the noise levels from the highway.
My husband and I (along with our two children) stayed at this Marriott Property from May 25th-May 28th. On May 28th, we went to our vehicle at about 5am to begin our journey back to the DC area only to discover that two of our Ford Expeditions tires were stolen while on the property. We had to file a police report and secure a tow truck to remove our vehicle. We were able to secure another rental vehicle to return home that day, but many hours later. While the inside of this property is secure, They DO NOT have security cameras on the parking lot premises according to the local police department. We are thankful that we did not leave at our earlier intended time as this situation could have jeopardized our familys safety. We are Marriott reward members and we will now use caution when staying at any property from this point onward.
I think the hotel would benefit from some of the staff receiving additional training in answering the phones. There is some room for improvement in this area in order to display competence, professionalism, and friendliness. A lot of the staff answered the phone using a low-energy, mundane tone as if they were tired or apathetic. Some of them seemed annoyed when they answered the phone.

2022-06-12Staff are very courteous, customer care was good, rooms in very good condition and well maintained, comfortable and accommodating. Opted for the executive suite which was roomy with a king bed and pull out sofa with all required bedding on hand multiple TVs WiFi and Ethernet for extra band width etc. Indoor pool well maintained and a good asset for the hot GA summer seasons. Very close to interstate most any part of Augusta accessible via 20 min drive.

2022-03-27We were there as a group this weekend through March 25-27..The elevator was out of service, and we were on the top floor..The customer service Rep Debbie that was on duty was very unprofessional and rudeBasically didnt have any patience or showed any concern or an apology..some of us was in some form of handicapped (including myself) could barely make it up the upstairs..it caused us to missed events because of taking the stairs. The next day we spoke to a gentle man named Travis about the situation. He accommodated us with some points for the inconvenience and was very professional and apologetic...I would stay there again in the near future..but for the next time a back up planned should be in effect..

2021-10-14Upon arriving at the area of this hotel I was warned by a local not to stay in certain hotels because of various reasons one being there was a shooting the other night (lol). When I arrived at the hotel I noticed it was very clean and well decorated / maintained. The receptionist was kind, professional and helpful. The room was a decent price for what I was asking. My room was clean and contained everything I needed (fridge, micro). The bed was comfortable and I slept very good. The shower was clean and the water pressure was perfect. I was disappointed the ice machine on our floor and the floor below was not functioning, but we were able to get ice by trying the 1st floors machine. Upon checking out, we went to the lounge area and ate a nice hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, bagels and coffee. I’ve stayed at many hotels and this was one of the best ones for the money. I would recommend if you are visiting this area to stay at this location, you will not be disappointed when you compare the rest of hotels in the area and the location.

2021-10-11The people were very nice. The room was nice. The bed wasnt too hard. There was a thermostat on the wall, but you can control the room temperature from the a/c-heater unit itself. The lobby was nice and clean. Now for the bad, the pool was COLD!! You couldnt even get out for a few minutes to get cold so when you get back in it would feel warm! I checked it with a thermometer, it was 73 degrees no matter where in the pool I checked! 10 degrees colder than any other hotel that I have ever checked! I was told that was company policy, that the controls were locked and not even the maintenance man had a key!

2021-09-28The best thing about our stay was KiKi who worked at the front desk. She was extremely friendly and accommodating and was just an absolute pleasure. She even called my room to see if Id left my purse at the front desk, which I had but hadnt realized it yet, and then brought it to my room rather than let me come get it. She is a wonderful ambassador for the Marriott!!!
