The gentleman who checked us in at night was extremely friendly and helpful. The Morning crew not so much. The hotel didnt appear clean, breakfast food was all over the counters after breakfast hours and we found a dirty wash cloth with hair on the side the tub, so clearly it hadnt been cleaned.
The room was good. It was quiet, and clean. The fridge didnt keep my items cold, only cool. No freezer available with mini fridge. The lobby was clean and check in was a breeze. There are quite a few places to eat, and they are not all fast food. It is a safe area. The people that I got to meet were kind. I would stay here again.
Had a great stay here after having a horrible experience at another local hotel. They were able to accommodate a last minute reservation and all of the staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a convenient walk to both Applebees and Longhorn. They do have an indoor pool and exercise room, as well as convenient exterior entrances on the side and rear so that you can get in the building with your room key without too much of a walk from wherever you park your car. The hot breakfast was good, although a little basic, but definitely added value to our stay. I would definitely return here if I ever wind up in Calhoun again.
We had a bad experience at the Calhoun Fairfield Marriott with a check in date of 4/30/21.After being in Chattanooga on 4/30/21, we stopped at the Fairfield in in Calhoun, GA to sleep.1002 Highway 53 East, Calhoun, Georgia 30701 USAWe gave a call stating we would be late check-in and our room was confirmed. We arrived at 3AM on 5/1/21 and were told there was one room remaining. We were told we were very near the front desk and kitchen and it may be noisy in the AM. We received the key, entered, and it appeared the bed had been disturbed, maybe laid upon. Being super tired, we pulled back the coverlet and there were no sheets. We called the front desk, and it was reiterated this was the last room in the hotel. The front desk clerk said he would bring us sheets. He brought us 2 twin top sheets for the king size bed. We did our best to make the bed comfortable considering what we had to work with at the time.Upon check-out the next morning, 5/1/21, we asked for the manager so we could let them know of our experience. The manager was a fit young African American woman. She came forth and we described the shape we found the room and the resolution by the night clerk. She told us there was no way that room could have been without sheets because she was the person who checked it after it was cleaned. I asked her if she checked the bed linens during her cleaning check. She took her hand and covered her badge and hid under the front desk. The 2 young white Marriott employee men standing at the desk did not ask her to stand or offer us any help. We waited a few minutes for the manager to reappear from behind the desk but she did not, even after asking for her again. We left without response from the morning staff and continued on our extended 6-week trip returning last week. I would have contacted you earlier but could not find this email address for a complaint until returning to my computer.I am a long-time Marriott card holder, with prior Titanium and current Platinum Elite status, and prefer to stay at Marriott properties. Never once have I experienced a bed without sheets or this kind of treatment from a manager at any lodging facility. This hotel did not meet my expectations as a paying customer.
This Marriott had a convenient location for the event we were attending. It met our basic needs and we chose to stay the 4 nights. Since I am pretty particular about cleanliness, this tends to skew my opinion about a hotel. Here’s my feedback overall. Positives: Hotel convenience was good. It was close to outlets and restaurants. Beds were comfortable and clean. Floor in main room appeared clean. Air conditioner worked well. Breakfast was good as far as free breakfast standards are concerned. Coffee was good. The food receptionist was helpful and got me hot sauce when I requested with a smile as well as taking great care the food area by frequently cleaning messes up and replenishing items. WiFi was ok. Downside: When booking & upon arrival, the receptionist was not rude per say, but not warm and friendly at all. Hallways were dirty & needed vacuuming. The room had a musty smoke odor and was hot on arrival. The bathroom had a strong smoke odor, hair on floor and in tub, stains & urine odor in tub area, and all linens smelled strong of smoke. We asked for another set of towels that smelled better than the first set. The TV would not turn off. We had to unplug it. Black out curtains did not cover windows well and bright street lights shown in the room at night. Noise from outside was loud. Luckily we brought a noise maker and were at the end of the hall so we didn’t hear other guests. Furniture in booths in dining area could use some updating as seats were cracked and worn. They ran out of butter and salt the last two days we were there for breakfast.Overall, our stay was comfortable. I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express previously off the same exit and had a much friendlier and a lot cleaner experience. The staff seemed happier about their job and the hotel seemed to be kept up better.
We had an unplanned stay at the Fairfield in Calhoun while traveling. I was greeted by Brittany who was very friendly and helpful upon check in. She was able to accommodate my room request and the room was clean, spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds for a much needed rest. We will stay at this location again if in the area. Hotel looked to be recently remodeled and met my expectations. Very satisfied with this property.
Who doesn’t want a clean hotel room? My room was extremely dirty. After traveling most of the day, we arrived at this hotel at 2am, tried and ready to sleep. It’s hard for me to relax in a dirty room. There was a dirty towel left on the side of the tub. There was hair everywhere on the sheets. The pillow cases had yellow and brown stains. The microwave and refrigerator were dirty. There was a layer of dust on everything and the room smelled bad. My family fell asleep before I could return from requesting a new room, so I just stayed in the dirty room that night and moved to another room the next day. The second room was cleaner and smelled better. These rooms are overpriced!!
Overall the hotel was nice. However, some essential things in our room where not as expected: non-working switched light inside room, Body Wash bottle empty in shower, only 3 sets of towels in a room that sleeps 4 (2X Queen beds), front of toilet stained (hopefully not what we thought it was). Also, zero towels at the pool on a Saturday night and no one in the pool. No syrup at the Breakfast for pancakes. For the price, I wouldnt expect these types of things to even be an issue. Fairly disappointed in this location despite good experiences at the majority of all our other Marriott stays.

A perfect road trip stop for our cross country trip. We checked in late at night and the employees were really helpful and nice. Everything in that hotel was spotlessly clean, it looks brand new. Our bed was really comfy and the room was quiet. They are serving the full breakfast buffet including waffles, all fresh and delicious. Ill remember this one for future road trips!
Our stay was for one night, the location of the hotel was convenient, the staff was very friendly and polite, the room was clean and the entire hotel was well kept and clean. We did not eat in the dining area so not able to rate that. We would definitely stay here again.
From check in to check out, the hotel showed great respect for maintaining cleanliness in time of COViD. Clean property, well-trained and responsive staff. Nice to have option of the complete breakfast bar, with attendant who was working hard to keep stocked, and wiping constantly. Would definitely stay again.
I really enjoyed this hotel. I was rained out of camping at one of the state parks, so I grabbed this hotel last minute. The staff was friendly, the room was mostly clean (some shoe prints in the bathroom, and missing new soap toiletries and TP) but the front desk quickly provided me with the missing items.
04/04/2021 First room we had the bathroom had a dirty wash cloth hanging on shower head. No soap was on sink, you could tell bathroom had not been cleaned from previous guests. They gave us a second room which had a bug in the bed, pretty sure it was a bed bug. We left hotel they did said they would refund our card. He said they have been having problems the last month with the rooms not being cleaned properly. We have stayed at this hotel when we travel for the last 7 years but we will never stay there again! I would give 0 stars if I could.
We had planned to drive through the night without stopping, but changed our mind spur of the moment. We arrived quite late (2:30am) and the front desk clerk was very kind and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. All bath amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand lotion) were filled. Only complaint regards COVID compliance. Website and signage on the door says masks must be worn, which we were doing. However, the breakfast attendant (who I think was also the front desk clerk) alternately wore hers under her chin and under her nose -- even while handling food. Not a good sign when staff doesnt follow company protocols, especially while the pandemic is still a danger.
Room had toys and other items from previous guests under the bed. Bottles of soap in the shower had dirty, crusty pump heads and 2 bottles were empty. Do not feel like they could have cleaned and sanitized the room properly and with COVID we have cancelled our reservation for a week later and will stay at a different hotel.
All these hotels are using covid as an excuse to trim services, no room service, no this no that, enough already. This hotel was fine.. nothing special nothing wrong with it either. would stay here again but I try to avoid USA hotels as much as I can. I still travel across the globe even during this pandemic and just about everywhere but USA services continue.
We were able to check in an hour early when we arrived to town a bit earlier than expected. The staff was amazing, helping me surprise my kiddos with a trip to disney! The pool was spacious. clean and plenty of towels. the toiletry items were wonderful, room was clean and beds were the most comfortable ever! It was great to have complimentary laundry soap, oxiclean and softner as well. I loved this hotel and will be staying here with all of our travels to the south!
Staff very friendly and great location. Biggest issue was lack of cleanliness in the room. The shower was noticeably dirty, there were several hairs inside, mold/dark discoloration in the caulk and the glass doors were smudged, had water spots and fingerprints. Spent 17,500 points for the stay, very disappointed.
Room outdated, but clean. Good breakfast. Our room was on Highway side VERY NOISY -- motorcycles, etc. Check in clerk was terrible! Not helpful, he seemed bothered when we stepped up to the desk -- and no one else was around. He told us Internet didnt work that well -- almost a dont bother attitude. Sad.... He needs another job for sure! Masks worn in lobby -- good social distancing at breakfast. Near restaurants, gas and some shopping. We are Rewards members -- will avoid this hotel from now on.
The guy at the front desk was rude. No coffee was available in room nor lobby. The room was ok, no toiletries, cups, etc was in there. Went for breakfast at 7:30, it was not packed but no coffee, nothing stocked .ended upgoing to McDonalds for the kids. Liked the indoor pool
In todays society just finding a clean place to stay is a blessing. This place was very nice and clean . The employees where very professional and at the same time very attentive to our needs. The young black female at the desk went beyond the call of duty. The maintenance man was a joy to talk to. I stopped him several times to ask him about the area. He took the time to explain to me and give great directions . Even the house keeper was great. She didnt speak English very well at all. But i still was able to communicate my needs to her. She took care of them. Thank you to all the employees.
The staff was nice and welcomed you as you came in....the lobby and hallways were clean, and so was the room. There was a variety of a good breakfast....liked how the coffee was strong and you could add just enough hot water to get it how you liked it. No orange juice unfortunately. The only drawback was the refrigerator had a tea left from someone else. Just wish hotels or motels had better sleeping pillows....
The staff are very helpful and nice. The check in was hassle free and quick. The breakfast was clean, good tasting, well supplied and had a nice selection. The hotel is conveniently located and easy to get to from the interstate. the hotel is just down the road form the Outlet stores if you are in the mood to shop. There are plenty of restaurants and food places on this exit. We didnt use it but the pool and work-out area was clean. The rooms are a nice size, roomy and quiet. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.
Absolutely wonderful experience! The staff was courteous and helpful. Continental breakfast was more than enough. Eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt and fruit. This hotel had everything we needed. Indoor pool was clean and the gym was sufficient. We will stay again if in the area.
Very nice and updated hotel. The room amenities were great and the bed was quite comfortable. There is plenty of parking and the location is very close to the freeway exit, however, not so close that you are disturbed by the traffic. The breakfast appointments were great and they have lots of room to serve many guests at the same time. The hotel staff was very friendly. I will stay here again if ever in the area.
This was an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The rate was reasonable, the bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, and the noise was at a minimum. The breakfast options were tasty with a waffle maker, cheesy eggs, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, Canadian bacon, granola and other cereals, fruit, juices, and coffee available. I was hoping theyd have some biscuits and gravy like the last hotel had bu alas, it was not meant to be this time. We would definitely be willing to stay here again.
The Fairfield staff does not respect their own Must wear mask sign. The only worker who was wearing a mask was the desk clerk and he was surly, unfriendly and not helpful. He did not ask if we had questions. The hallway was dirty. The toilet ran unless you jiggled the handle. The coffee was terrible. I did sleep pretty well so that was good.
Traveling home from Florida in March we enjoyed a clean comfortable room at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott. We were very thankful they were open despite all the virus closures. Upon arrival there was disinfecting gel available at the desk and other signs that this Fairfield Inn by Marriott was taking their cleaning and sanitizing seriously. The room was clean and fresh with very comfortable beds, just as we expected.
Simply put. Clean. Beautiful. Beds were amazing comfortable. Great location. Easy highway access(yet didnt hear any highway noise) An Applebees and a Steakhouse just a few steps away, adjacent the parking lot. Great complimentary breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.
Fantastic hotel! Very new, extremely clean and comfortable. ALL employees we met were kind and helpful. Wed stay here again in a heartbeat. As an important aside, we needed an accessible room and got one. It was the most accessible room weve *EVER* experienced in terms of every little detail. It was designed and built, from the ground up, with accessibility in mind. Thank you so much!!
We really appreciated the staff at this hotel. We had a small problem with our stay and they quickly resolved the matter. It would be amazing if there was never a problem with a hotel stay but more important to me is how issues are resolved. The hotel is very nice and the room was very clean and well kept. I would stay again in a heart beat.
Overcharged for a entire exra room. Very rude assistant manager told me..(actually yelled at me) that it was my fault for reserving a room through an app, and that she can charge whatever she wants to the card on file. Very nasty cobwebs on the ceiling gave the room a very dirty and bug infested feeling. I have stayed at Marriott hotels dozens of times in the past year alone for work and with family. This visit alone was enough to turn me away from Marriott for any future stay.
This hotel is extremely clean and quiet. If you are looking for a break from a long road trip, this is the place to stay. My husband and I were exhausted and ready for a good nights sleep. We had that!! The hotel was very clean (lobby, hallways, breakfast area, fitness room and our room). The staff is very friendly and willing to help if you have any questions. We would definitely stay here again.
This property was very easy and convenient to get to from the highway. We arrived late so no one was at the desk when we got there. We had to wait about 10 minutes for him to return. The room was mostly clean. Shower/tub was clean. Bathroom floor was sticky. The walls needed some attention in the bathroom and by the bed as there was some spit or something on them. Breakfast was ok for hotel food. They need more gluten free options. Overall,it was a nice place to stay for the night.
We were traveling from Indiana to Florida for fall break. We stopped in Calhoun for the night to rest before completing our journey. The hotel was conveniently located off of the interstate. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice. We did not experience any problems during our stay.
The Marriott has a pleasant environment with friendly efficient staff and spotless rooms! Salubrious!A fine place to stay! Bathrooms are large with oversized showers. Beds are good with attractive linenCoverings. Breakfast area large and food was fine. This hotel offers good value for money.
If you stay here bring cleaning supplies luckily I had some in the car. Really dirty the toilet seat and flusher both were filthy. The fridge had food over the outside. There were stains on the carpet and shower curtain that probably could have been cleaned as well and had not been. I had to clean my hotel room before I could go to sleep it was horrible after 14 hours of driving. In the morning we went down to have breakfast and the employee touching and putting out all the food had a nasty cough and was really sick. She was wearing gloves and this would have been better if she did not take her shirt cover her mouth with it as her hand was over her and cough. She kept putting out breakfast after doing this. I understand people have to work sick however why was she working with food. The hotel management could have put this women on any other job this day and chose not to care.On top of the filthy room we also could not eat the breakfast that was included. I wish I had chosen a different hotel.
We traveled for nearly a month and were delighted to spend the last night of travel in this clean and comfortable hotel. The lobby was inviting, the breakfast was good, and our room and bathroom were immaculate. I am fussy about hotel beds and was especially pleased with the clean duvet and the crisp sheets.
The hotel was clean and very nice. We showed up on a very busy day there was only one room available and they discounted it to help us. The room was great the beds were very soft and after the 10 hours we spent in the car driving it was much needed. The pool was clean and very warm the staff was amazing.
The hotel is situated to provide easy driving access and is close to the Interstate, and lots of dining options. A fueling station is very nearby. The service at the hotel is exceptional. The breakfast is kept fresh and hot. The rooms are very clean and quiet. Most rooms have been recently updated. King rooms provide a nice, step-in shower.
My overall review is an 8 out of 10. I loved my room. Everything was extremely clean and organized. A little too cold, even after I changed the temperature. The front desk clurks were amazing. My only real complaint would be the breakfast staff that morning. She was cold. I felt as though she was annoyed by me. Very impatient. I do have to say I love how close the Inn is to everything.
We had been traveling all day and stopped at 10:00pm. We needed a handicap room wth two beds and there was one available. The hotel staff found us a room right away and it was just a matter of time we were faling asleep in the comfy beds. My elderly mother in a wheel chair was traveling wth us and the room was perfect. The handicap bathroom was worth every penny! The breakfast had many choices and if you walk away hungry it is your own fault. Margie ( the lady in charge of the breakfast) was very helpful, pleasant and kept the area clean and serving dishes full. The hotel is very new and very clean. If you are wanting to stay just north of Atlanta while traveling. I would suggest this hotel. It is also on the same exit as the outlet mall, many restraurants and gas station choices.
We stayed at this hotel overnight while traveling from Florida to Illinois. It was close to the freeway, within walking distance of places to eat and CLEAN!! The check-in and check-out was easy. Parking lot was well lit. The free breakfast in the morning was great. No complaints. Would stay here again.
We stayed here after my sons wedding reception which was nearby. There were multiple family groupings and age ranges including teens, young adults and handicapped senior. Everyone was pleased with their room. My friend located your facility on the internet just as it was opening, I had been in the area in the summer and the one hotel we thought might be promising was a dud when we stayed there. We were very discouraged, I am very grateful to my friend for finding your hotel. The bathroom was really big I could easily fix my face while my husband took a shower. We had trouble the night before at a luxury hotel trying to get everyone to dinner on time because the sink and mirror were so small and everything was crammed together . The rooms there were also small. Your rooms were big even without the suite. We had a suite and a family group at a time could come and sit on the sofa and visit. We were also able to visit as a large extended family group in the lobby. It was quite comfortable. there are nice restaurants in easy walking distance. Even more plus good grocery stores and an outlet mall a longer walk or short car ride away.
My husband and I stayed here on the way down to Florida and back home (one night each way.) Clean, quiet rooms, and a nice pool (no hot tub for people seeking that.) The showers had nice pressure and heat. Very friendly evening staff. Plenty of free parking. Comfy beds. Two downsides were that the sausage patties at breakfast were pink in the center for both breakfasts (a steak is good a bit pink, but ground meats arent as safe pink,) and the omelettes were gone by the first breakfast by 9am (breakfast ends at 9:30am.)
This is new hotel with a fresh contemporary design. All of the staff were welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. However the bathroom floor around the toilet and in the corners was filthy as well as the base of the toilet. Im sure neither one has been scrubbed or months. The base of the shower was filthy as well as the corners of the shower floor--again probably not scrubbed in months. The weather stripping on the bottom of the shower door was falling off. It is unfortunate that the hard to reach places are not cleaned. This new hotel will quickly become dingy due to sub-standard cleaning. Why are so many hotels in Georgia dirty?
First of all, the room and entire hotel was exactly like the pictures on their website. The shower was very roomy. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and right there if we need them. The breakfast had a big selection. Overall there wasnt one thing I didnt like. The price might seem a little high to some, but it was worth every penny to us! We have decided from now on, no matter where we travel we are going to find a Fairfield Inn to stay at!
This Fairfield was great. The service from the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and smelled wonderful! Not stale or hot. The shower was big and comfortable. They had a snack available when we arrived and breakfast the next morning was great! Definitely a good stop. :)
Hotel prices increase everywhere due to inflation and corporation monopolies dominating the industry. However, the amenities seem to stay the same or progress at a slower rate. This hotel is good for what it is. Nothing flashy, but you can expect good staff and a clean hotel. If you are looking for a resort quality stay, despite the price point, you should look elsewhere.
On a long road trip, came in after midnight to get a night of rest. Staff was very friendly. Building seemed to be fairly new. Room was spotless. Hot breakfast included sausage and eggs, along with pastries/waffles. Was well maintained. For the rate, it was a good hotel. Id stop again my next time on this trip.
In the age of traveling during the covid pandemic, cleanliness is by far the most significant factor in a hotel stay. From the urine stains on the toilet, the pink mold in the shower, the black mold stain on the carpet, and the blood on the curtains; this place was nowhere near an acceptable level of clean by any definition. What else is there to say...
I had an excellent stay at the Fairfield Inn in Calhoun. From the phone call to reserve with Bridget, to checking in with Colby, and then checking back out with Bridget. They were both wonderful. The hotel and room were beautiful and clean. I love the color schemes, and the comfort it brings.
Very clean hotel, room, and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Walking distance to several restaurants with a couple being basically across the parking lot. Easy access to gas station and the interstate without it being noisy. Lots of charging areas for personal electronic devices. Good location for between Chattanooga and Atlanta. Will be staying here again!
We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Calhoun for a wedding at the Yarborough Mill. The wedding was at 4 pm. We stayed the night before so we could get ready at a close location. We got up, had breakfast (which was quite good) and went out so the housekeeping staff could clean our room. At around 1 pm we returned to find our room was still unattended. I went down to the front desk and requested that clean our room so we could get ready for the wedding which we had to leave for at 3:30. We even left the room and went down to the lobby to access the computers there while waiting. At 2:30 we returned to our room, and found it the way we left it. This was unacceptable. When I requested to get our room cleaned, I was informed that they had a lot of rooms were people had left that morning that needed to be cleaned. I dont think an empty room should take priority over the needs of a staying guest. I will not stay at a Fairfield Inn again.
What a delightful surprise in the Dalton area! This is an easy to access, newer Marriott property, minutes from Dalton. It is very close to the outlet malls, near dining, the interstate, etc...great location. Staff is very welcoming and willing to go above and beyond to assure a pleasant stay. The hot breakfast of eggs and breakfast meat is sure to please most guests --- and, for the fewer vegetarians, like me, it is easy to do fresh fruit and yogurt, put cheese in the grits, dip apples into brown sugar stirred into cream cheese, or peanut butter on raisin bread. The indoor pool looked very inviting, but I did not have time to try it out. It was a nice experience.
This hotel is far enough from the interstate that it is quiet. There are 2 restaurants across the parking lot. It is located in a decent sized town without a lot of traffic or one way streets to navigate. The rooms are comfortable as are the beds. The bathrooms are large and clean and the shower has plenty of pressure. The coffee is the best hotel coffee I have ever had next to the Copley Plaza.
The Fairfield in Calhoun Georgia is an excellent place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. You will find the room clean and well stocked. The breakfast area is clean with a good choice of food items. It is located close to the Route 75 exit and within walking distance to Longhorn and Applebee’s. An excellent choice and we will return in the future.
Clean. & pleasant personnel, couple of restaurants within walking distance (accoss from parking lot) which was was a ++ after a long drive. They designed this new hotel better as bag carts were in a small alcove as you came in & ice machine was by elevators vs next to a room like some others can be. . Will definitely stay here again.
No presence of management . No hot water , Luke warm water . Bathroom had long hair in sink . Had to ask for room refresh and when asked for coffee packets in room for next morning , I was told they were out of them ! Really Marriott ? Breakfast bar was not replenished and by 7:45 people were standing, looking for something to eat !
Selected this hotel because it looked newer and had availability during busy spring break travel season. Very clean, comfortable and the pool was a good size. Staff was great, very helpful and kind. Breaksfast was great too! I almost went with a slightly cheaper option - I’m so glad i chose Fairfield Inn! It was worth it.
We stayed at the Fairfield in Calhoun on our way through Georgia after a long day of construction and accidents on the highway. We arrived late, but the attendant at the front desk was very helpful and cheerful, despite the late hour. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was good the next morning. Overall, we are very pleased with our stay here.
We stopped in the middle of the afternoon after going through horrible traffic in Atlanta after a spring break trip to Florida. We were absolutely exhausted. The hotel provided us a safe, clean and comfortable place to sleep and rejuvenate before getting back on the road to make the final leg of our trip home. In that area there is an Applebees right in the parking lot, the outlet mall and several other places to eat, drink and shop. We absolutely love the area and if we go back through there that is definitely where we will stay again. Job well done.
I came into the lobby to check in on crutches (car crash in June means I havent been able to walk on my right foot since then). The lady checked me in, but then asked if I would like her to switch my room assignment to a room with a roll in shower and closer to the elevator. She got us a room that met my needs perfectly. For breakfast, for the first time a hotel was able to provide some food for my multiple food allergies child: she went in the back and got a whole plate of cantaloupe and honeydew for him to eat (along with the oatmeal I had brought for him, prepared with their hot water). I cant risk getting fruit from the buffet because of the risk of someone having used the wrong spoon to get theirs and introducing his allergens to the safe food. He was very happy to get his plate of fruit, and I was very happy to not have to stop somewhere for more food for him on the way to our next destination.
Great stop for the drive from Ohio to Orlando. We always trust Marriott Brands for a good stay. So many unusual choices to stay in this part of the country.. We just needed sleep, got there at 500 AM. Experience was ruined by a family who cleaned out the breakfast bar without consideration of the 10 people standing behind them each time it was refilled. I understand if youre hungry; but must have been their first time. Ill considerate savages; they left most they food uneaten . Didnt have consideration to discard their trash and to complete what they took; walked off with mounds of cold food to eat later??
This was my first stay at a Fairfield Inn property. My stay was excellent! The room was immaculate and spacious and the staff was great! The location was very convenient to restaurants(Applebees and Longhorn Steakhouse right across the parking lot). I was in Calhoun, Ga for business purposes and will definitely stay at Fairfield Inn again! I loved it so much that I signed up as a Marriott Rewards member the first night of my stay!
If you are traveling through the North Georgia area, stop in at the Fairfield in Calhoun. This is one of my regular stops as I traveled between Florida and Kentucky, and there is not a single bad thing to say about this location. Between a welcoming staff, clean and modern looking facility, and a comfortable room, this is where I stop to relax. Local restaurants are within walking distance and it is not in a congested area. I get up to a nice shower, great breakfast, and I am on my way.
The hot water valve messed up. So, no hot water and took an hour and a half to fix. There were no towels for showering. I called and they said sorry, but had pool towels. Then, going to bed flip the pillow over and it had mold and water rings on it.I travel a lot for work and I would not recommend nor stay here again.
Our daughter had a wedding in Calhoun and had about 20 guests staying at the Fairfield in Calhoun. The staff members were all very nice and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and up-to-date. The hotel is only 2 minutes to the outlets and there are plenty of restaurants are nearby. Buffet breakfast was excellent too! I highly recommend this hotel!!
The Assistant Manager Bridget was fantastic from the first day of check in. Our original plan was to stay four (4) days but Her staff was very helpful and accommodating that we decided to stay our whole nine (9) day trip in this hotel, Koby in particular went above and beyond to make sure myself and family had everything to make our stay was comfortable. They even provide a gluten free breakfast options.
When we walked in, the beds looked wrinkled and slept in. There were crumbs in one of the beds. All staff members seemed surprised about the state of our room. We had to remake our beds with new sheets and when we did we saw that there weren’t any mattress pads on the bed - just sheets on a mattress that was yellowed from use by other customers. There was also hair in the bathroom. This is not the quality I expect for the price. Staff was apologetic but asked us “what can we do to make it up to you” instead of automatically offering us compensation for a bad experience
I have stayed at this Hotel in the past and was always pleased. This time I was highly disappointed in breakfast - no waffle mix, watery oatmeal and eggs (omelet style) seemed cold and old. Pineapple did not appear fresh either. For the $$ of this hotel, I was expecting Fairfields usual quality breakfast, but did not have that experience this time. I probably wont come back.
Have stayed here 1-2 times a year since it opened. Have had lots of housekeeping issues but sorted them out. Good food & service. Clean. Beautiful rooms. Good location.Very disappointed this year. Were near 4 grandchildren & always use the pool. Weve been here a week over Thanksgiving & POOL IS CLOSED. There have been no attempts to get it fixed or opened. I cant believe pool companies are that busy end of November!! BIG disappointment for our family. 😥
The property is very clean and the staff is over the top friendly! Room was great, internet worked fine, room had plenty of sockets for charging phones and tablets, and the breakfast was nice. We did not swim, but the indoor pool area looked inviting. In you are into outlet malls, the Calhoun outlet is across the road about 1/3 mile away. There are plenty of places to eat on the same road the hotel is on.This property is in a nice location and is a good value. If you contact this hotel and cannot get a room, try the Fairfield Inn 25 miles south in Cartersville. It is a nice property as well.
Very clean and enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was not the best...the biscuits were hard and cold gravy. The tables at breakfast had not been wiped clean and we had to clean our own table to keep from sitting in syrup and others crumbs..check in was easy and fast and the maid service was super nice.
While traveling over the holidays, I was looking forward to checking in to a hotel that claims to take COVID seriously. What a joke. Although the front desk clerk was masked, there were about a dozen people in the lobby and dining areas that were completely unmasked. They were in full view of the front desk and the clerk ignored it. And no, they were not eating. If youre concerned about COVID, DO NOT stay at this property!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn. We had to evacuate due to Hurricane Matthew and the staff went above and beyond for us. We arrived early and the staff did everything they could to make sure that we checked in to our rooms as early as possible. We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay at a nice hotel with great staff.
Best customer service!! Booked the reservation with extra towels, blankets, and pillows. We also requested a crib. Its was nice to find everything we requested in the room. And not only did we have the crib, but they set it up with crib sheet ready to use. Definitely would stay here again if we needed to.
Super place to stay. No interstate noise, no interior noise. Staff friendly, breakfast hot and good. Complimentary newspapaers were available, and plentiful, (leftover yesterdays were nice to provide more coverage). I saw several obviously business people, and several, obviously non-business people at the hotel. Age groups included old folks (like me), families with kids, and some in between ........ nice to see the mix.
We had reservations for 10-21. I had requested room on 1st or 2nd floor due to disability. When we arrived at 515pm, we were told the room was not ready. It would be ready in 15 minutes. Offered room on 3rd floor. We elected to wait the 15 minutes. The 15 minutes turned out to be 45 minutes. We were placed in a room directly across the hall from conference room, they were playing loud music with door open. We were tired since had been up since 4am. When my husband called front desk, he was told they were having meeting in conference room and they paid for that room. My husband told her we also paid for our room. We should not have to listen to loud music, talking, laughing in hall outside our room. We were not offered another room. I do believe they told them to shut the door because for awhile in was not as loud but then they were in hallway talking, laughing till late. It was not a peaceful stay for us. Also the bathroom was dirty, there was hair in the floor, disgusting. if there would of been room available somewhere else we would of not stayed there. We have stayed at different Fairfield Inns before and was always satisfied. Fairfield Inn claimes You are our highest priority. They did not make us feel this way. It was a horrible stay. We will never stay there again. Managers name was Kim, she needs a lesson in customer service.
This was just a stopover between Point A & Point B on our trip to Florida, so we didnt take in any sightseeing or use the pool/exercise room. But the check in was easy, the room was clean, the bed comfy, the shower had good water pressure, the internet set-up was super easy and there were several movie channels to choose from. The breakfast was very tasty (no eggs, but a couple of different meat choices) and had several healthy selections. On our way back from Florida we will probably be staying at this Fairfield Inn again because we liked it so much!
We stayed at this property along with several others attending a wedding. The hotel is conveniently located next to several restaurants (Longhorn and Applebees are literally across the parking lot). Its only a year old, so its clean and neat, with comfortable beds, good working air conditioners, and large tile showers. The staff is courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
Easy to find, right off the highway. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Friendly staff and fast check out. There are restaurants within walking distance of the hotel which was nice. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked but the quality wasnt that good. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
Im picky about my hotels and this was clean, newer decor, super friendly staff and it had a wonderful breakfast. Beds were comfortable and they offered us a roll away for one of our three kiddos, it was not the most comfortable for me as an adult, but my 8 yo thought it was awesome.
Front desk staff very helpful. However, the walls and floor soundproofing is very thin. One can hear normal talking in next room and walking in floor above your room. Suggest staying on top floor and request room where no one is staying on either side. Used wave machine app on phone but it was not enough. Stayed next night in a Hampton Inn and rooms are much quieter.
Stayed here for a wedding. What a surprise. This is a new, well-maintained property. The entire staff is friendly, looks you in the eye and calls you by name. We had a question about directions to the wedding venue and the night desk clerk immediately knew where we were talking about and provided sound advice. Try the biscuits and gravy on the comp breakfast. It was so good, we elected to eat in at the hotel in lieu of Cracker Barrel next door the morning we checked out.
Booked a reservation online so we could stay here on our way back to Florida after evacuating for hurricane Irma. The website said the hotel is pet friendly and we had our 2 dogs with us. After driving all day and arriving there after midnight, the guy at the front desk said they only allow service animals, so we couldnt stay there, and he was still going to charge us for the room. Luckily Marriott phone lines customer service refunded us for the room and found another hotel for us to stay at (unfortunately an hours drive away).
I stayed at this hotel for roughly 47 nights in early 2017 while relocating from Stamford, CT to Chattanooga, TN (our local office is in Calhoun). The bed was quite comfortable, the room was clean and tidy, the laundry facilities were convenient, the hot breakfast was always delicious (though the scrambled eggs could use some work), housekeeping always did an exceptional job at straightening up the room, and the front desk staff was rather warm and welcoming... treating me as though I was family. While I’ve had no need to stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites since completing my move in April 2017, I wish that wasn’t the case, as it was a true delight to be there for such an extended period of time.
Our recent stay at Fairfield Inn @ Suites Calhoun was an absolute pleasure! From the friendly check-in to the amazing hot-food on the breakfast bar we had a great visit. The room was clean and well appointed, the grounds well kept and neat, and the staff was friendly and conscious of our comfort. I can think of nothing negative to say about our stay, and we will definitely be staying with Fairfield Inn & Suites in the future!
Staff was great, beds were just right, and it made my relocation easy to do. Breakfast was fair but very clean and they went out of their way to see was out before I had to leave for work. Desk staff always greeted me with a smile and after a short time call me by name. Great place to stay
The new modern facility was second to none in this price range for hotels weve stayed at. Attention to detail was obvious as soon as we entered our room. Easy free internet access, phone charging stations, great lighting, comfy bed, healthy choices at the breakfast bar, and very friendly helpful staff.
If you need a stop over in northern Georgia, highly recommend this Fairfield Inn. Just off I-75 in Calhoun. Property is updated and very clean. Breakfast bar is top rate (my wife is an oatmeal lover and said it was perfect!). Staff is friendly and on top of things. Rooms feel new and fresh. We are Marriott gold members and actually plan our frequent driving trips North from Florida to stop here for the night.
This new hotel is a pleasant hotel to stay at. The room was very clean as well as the rest of the hotel, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast had plenty of options and the children really enjoyed the pool. The only complaint I had was that the beds were a little hard. Not as comfortable than I was expecting.
I typically stay at Hampton Inn hotels when traveling for business. I stayed at the Fairfield Inn Marriott for the first time due to its location, which was much closer to my meetings and it was recommended. I was very pleased with the hotels overall cleanliness and the room, including the bed, was very comfortable. Ill consider staying at a Marriott in the future.
We were relocating from Illinois to Florida, and chose the Fairfield Inn and Suites just from looking at it online, en route. It was very convenient off the main highway, and had many restaurant choices close by. We are very familiar with most Marriott products, but had never stayed at a Fairfield Inn before. It was a great choice - friendly staff, very nice facilities and suite, good complimentary breakfast. We would definitely choose Fairfield again.
Much nicer decor than any of the other Fairfield hotels we have stayed at before or than the surrounding hotels. We were looking for a hotel since just north of Chattanooga very late at night and when we finally landed here my son exclaimed - wow this is much nicer than any of the hotels we stopped at, please mom can we stay here! It was pricey in comparison to the others in the area so we opted to stay on points.
We will continue to stay at this hotel, its a direct path to our destination. We had left our IPad in our room, and the cleaning staff Wanda found it and the front desk called us immediately to let us know, before weve gone too far. We do appreciate it. Honest staff. Keep up the great work.
Good and clean hotel. If youre an Elite member, you wont be valued like youre used to in other Marriott hotels. Using the mobile app to ask for extra towels, amenities, pillows etc. was useless. They wont go above and beyond for their customers, but if its a quick stay, its nice. We stayed for 5 days, so we got the full experience.
Convenient location right off I 75. Nice place to stop if you dont have an animal. Longhorn Steakhouse within walking distance. Park your car and go have a steak. If coming up from Florida, nice place to stop before you get really tired. Clean hotel with nice bedding.
We recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn to attend a wedding. The Staff was the greatest and went out of their way to see to it that our stay was memorable. Super nice bathrooms that were super clean..... great beds and brand new Samsung television made this a perfect weekend............. Thanks Fairfield................
We were traveling through Georgia from Florida and ended up staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites at Calhoun by chance. We were so tired from driving in the rain and just needed to get out of the car. The front desk staff could tell we were tired and checked us in very quickly. Room was beautiful and clean. Great stay.
Kayla and her staff were wonderful to us and our guests the weekend of the wedding. Initial communication with Kayla was tough at times (getting responses and calling back.) But everything worked out and we would recommend the Fairfield Inn. One piece of advice - their shuttles only hold 15 people and our guests were cramped to and from our wedding venue. Make sure that you are clear with how many guests need the shuttle.
This hotel was in a perfect location; minutes from the 75 highway. We were happy to check-in and walk to dinner across the parking lot to dinner at Longhorn. The room was large and comfortable. Bedding, sheets and pillows were excellent - the bed was very, very comfortable.
The beds were comfortable, which seems to be a hard thing to find at Fairfields lately. The room couldve been cleaner. There was a dead stink bug on the ceiling, the bathroom mirror was so streaky I had to wipe it off and there was dry wallpaper paste all over the bathroom.
The woman greeted us while sitting in the breakfast area with food in her mouth asking us if we had a reservation. Like she wasnt going to waste her time getting up if we didnt have a reservation. No rollaway as requested even though we checked in 1 day before our arrival. She offered us extra blankets/sheets just to come back and say they were out.
Hotel is nice as expected but had bad check-in experience ---- if you stay at this particular location, make sure you have your rate ID available at check-in or you may have the same experience that I had. In a rush to get on the road, I accidently left my ID at home for my discounted rate booked. The check-in clerk made a big deal out of my mistake at first and then made me feel like she was doing me a favor by allowing me to stay under the discounted rate.
We were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of this hotel in the small town of Calhoun, GA. From the beautifully styled lobby, the tastefully decorated and extremely clean rooms, to the friendly staff, we enjoyed every minute of our brief stay with Fairfield Inn and Suites. I am a Marriott member, but havent stayed at many Fairfield Inns in the past. Ill be sure to look for them some more in the future.Well be back!
The manager was very helpful, personally I thank God for him. I was there on business, my employer gave me a check in advance for the room cost. When I got there to check-in the that was deposited into my banking account check had not cleared, and I didnt have another form of payment. The front desk clerk stated, by policy, there was nothing she could do. The manager over heard the conversation and came over to see what was going on. He then gave the clerk a code to use to clear this up, which allow me to check in and place the card information on file until my check cleared the following business day; I was, and am, so grateful for his presences that day.
We booked a specific room and chose this specific hotel on our way to spring break because it could fit our large family. After a long day in the car we arrived to find the room we reserved was given to someone else. Very frustrating and it took 45 minutes to get rooms we did not want, but had no other choice. As reward members who had let the hotel know we’d be arriving around 7 pm, it was not a fun experience with kiddos who had been in the car all day.
The Fairfield Inn overbooked or sold my reservation, so after driving 7 hours we were without a room. They did not offer to help in any way. I was Also Charged for a nights stay. I will be contacting corporate headquarters. Staff and Management needs to be retrained.
They have a great staff who were able to give us two rooms for a week after our a b and b turned out to be not what they had advertised, and the maid service was very good to help with our needs. Good breakfast food and lots of restaurants and shopping within a mile of hotel.
Left Central Florida going to Wisconsin and we were dragging from long day of driving just wanted to get North of Atlanta. I remember I had received free certificate for one night stay at a Marriott hotel. I figured it would be many miles to next major city with Marriott family of hotels. Plus I figured we would never get to use the certificate because it was not printed out and the short notice. My wife called the Marriott reservation line and we told the agent we were some where between Atlanta and Nashville - we pinpointed that were only nine miles from Fairfield Inn at Calhoun (no road signs / no GPS location for new hotel) but the crossroads matched with our location. The agent booked our certificate and we turned off into Calhoun and there was a brand new Fairfield Inn!! No issue with certificate - reservation waiting for us made only 10 minutes earlier.I have been a Marriott Awards member since they started the loyalty program and always shied away for Fairfield Inn due to the lower standard of quality. Was I ever wrong - this property is the finest that we have stayed in and will certainly look for other new Fairfield Inns in the future. Love the reception area and décor of room.
I stated Christmas Eve and was concerned about restaurants not being opened. Upon check in I noticed Outback and Applebees both opened and virtually in the same parking lot. Great location for shopping and reasonably priced. Staff super nice and helpful. Very clean. The bed slept excellent. Didnt want to leave.
BED BUGS!!!!! Stopped for the evening and found a bed bug wrapped up in a bath towel. The receptionist came up to the room and began apologizing the second he seen it. Didnt offer a free room or anything just said we wouldnt be charged for the stay as we werent going to stay the night anyhow! Wallpaper paste on every wall as well.

2022-01-22I would definitely stay in this hotel again, and I definitely wouldn’t stay in any of the hotels in the area. I checked in through the app, but the mobile key wasn’t working. The man at the desk was very nice and already had a physical key ready for me. The hotel room was very clean and the pillows were super comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and wash cloths and the shower was large enough for two people to fit comfortably. I was able to request another blanket through the app and they brought it up to the room in less than five minutes. I didn’t eat the breakfast there, but free breakfast if offered. The only thing that went wrong is that there wasn’t a do not disturb sign for me to hang on the door so room keeping woke me up in the morning.

2022-01-16Nice clean rooms, beds are comfy, pillows are kinda hard, we had our own. They have an indoor pool, gym, and office area. They have a good variety breakfast every morning and some great coffee. This is by far the nicest, cleanest hotel in Calhoun! Will stay here again in the future.

2022-04-09Nice hotel and a great option in the area. Staff is very friendly and free breakfast is good. The hotel is very clean and typical Marriott standards. Room furniture showing some minor wear and tear but otherwise a great choice. There are 2 restaurants directly in front too, so you can walk for dinner if you choose.

2022-01-09Beds were comfy, room design was nice, online booking and check-in was smooth. Staff was friendly, breakfast options included a waffle maker and a choice of turkey or beef sausage, which was appreciated. The chocolate chip muffins were tasty. I will probably stay here again.

2022-01-17Positive: Hotel very clean and friendly staff on front desk. Negative: Breakfast buffet was out of hot food at 8:30. We had some toast and left at 9 when there was no attempt to replenish eggs and meat. I wish hotels would get out of the Free breakfast business and stick with providing a great room. I¿ll go to restaura

2022-04-10Reserved suite with kitchen. Room wasnt thoroughly cleaned. Ottoman wheel completely missing. Double charged the last night because I forgot I was checking out that day (Ark encounter day) so when I got back keys were locked out so went to front desk and realized I had my dates mixed up so I was charged $250. When questioned front desk they said it was because it was the last room. Continental breakfast was good. Shower door would not stay closed, had to cram washcloth between doors to keep shut. Dishes left in dishwasher, kitchen walls and dresser were smudged and dirty. Drawers not cleaned out, (debris left in them). No hot tub in pool area. Pool decent.

2021-10-26I was in town for a wedding and I was looking forward to staying in the nicest hotel in Calhoun. The only bright spot about my stay was the gentleman who checked me in. He was very kind, friendly and made me feel welcomed. At checkout, however, the ladies were absolutely rude, cold, unfriendly. They never even looked up from their computer screens to acknowledge me or even make eye contact. Parking availability at the site is very limited and I had to park at a restaurant nearby hoping I didnt get towed or ticketed. The room itself was fine, comfortable and very modern but my overall experience with the stay was a 4/10. Lastly it was pretty darn expensive for an overnight stay at a 3-star hotel. Not worth it.

2021-09-23I frequently travel 12 hours over two days between Florida and Kentucky. My last few experiences staying in a Marriot hotel were unpleasant. The whole point of staying at a hotel is getting a good night of sleep. Staying at this property gave me renewed faith. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was excellent. The HVAC was wonderful and didnt wake me up everytime it kicked on, which is so annoying in the middle of the night. I will make a point of only staying at this property from now on. Thank you again for a great experience!
