Staff is not friendly, my room had a broken TV, busted A/C vent and a microwave machine that wouldnt pop popcorn. I had to ask for an upgrade when they are suppose to give automatic upgrades if available. I was not greeted as a Titanium Member, not that it maters to me. Dont book multiple day stays. They make up the rooms of the checked out guests first so your room may not get made until 5 or 6 PM like I experienced. When I complained to the front desk they just said we were full and thats the way we do things here. The food was barely passable and they kept running out of basic staples. The milk and yogurt was expired. This is a 75 + room hotel and they have one, 2-slice toaster in the food area. It took over five minutes to toast a bagle. Never to return to this place.
Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Did an online check in, arrived around in town around 4pm...called the hotel, was told I could not check in until after 8. I wanted to know why so late, was told because they were short staffed.... fine, didnt argue. Arrived at hotel around 8:30...got checked in. Immediately after opening the door to our room, I noticed the curtains were hanging off, torn from rod. The headboard had previous renters handprint all over it(cleaners did not touch) pulled back comforter on bed and found small bugs underneath blanket...I was furious, so I called downstairs to ask for another room, being platinum Marriott reward members, I expected so much better. They did move us to another room, only to get there to find out that the room had not been cleaned. Ugh!!! Went downstairs to talk with a manager on duty and to request a refund, only to find out that she had done an 18 hour shift that day and had taken off, wouldnt be back until next morning, so no refund. While all of this is happening, two other guests were waiting around to be put in their rooms that they had paid for...non were available. Worst stay ever! Never again! I say this because they didnt even seem very interested in making sure their guests were taken care of.
The front desk women did not know the answers to any of our questions! They were kind, but just not knowledgeable about the hotel and the job they held. We arrived after midnight and she wasn’t able to check us in (despite the fact that I had already checked in on the app). After about 5-10 minutes, she said we were checked in and gave us a key. She didn’t have much confidence, so ain’t worried we were gonna find some other guests in the same room…. fortunately there was not! Our room had no coffee maker and when we asked we were told we’d get one… never happened during our 3 night stay. There are usually at least 3 sets (if not 4) towels in the room, we had 2 sets and not foot rug. We were able to get extra towels the next day. We usually don’t want any maid service, but there was no Do Not Disturb sign to hang out. My husband said the young girl at the front desk just kind of looked at him when he asked about getting one. In general, things just seemed unorganized. The hotel is quite old looking, but was clean enough. We probably will not ever stay here again.
Dirty with many visibly broken features. Also missing quite a few little amenities (ice buckets, etc...). Manager on duty explained hotel had just come under new ownership after previous owner ran it into ground and gutted it. I hope she succeeds in turning it around but as of June 2021 it is in sorry shape. I give it a 2 based on managers hard work and friendly attitude and based on excellent breakfast. The lady in charge of breakfast kept a clean area with good food and abundant selection. Whatever they do they should keep her. Breakfast was by far the best part of our stay.
Staff was great, location was good. value of room was great. I understand that we are under a pandemic. There were just a few things off. I had three identical rooms. the number of had towels and bath were different in each room. One room had dirt come out of the heat ducts. Another room had some dirt on bed spread. All in all it was good, but they need to QA the room a little better.Im still a Marriott fan and always will be.
Such a lovely and nice staff! Everyone. The only issue and it wasnt even an issue is they should warn you that your charge card is pre-charged a much larger amount than the room cost is in case there is damage. The staff: Always kind, always helpful. Very respectful. Despite their apparently being a ton of people with kids there for a tournament, it was very quiet. And I would encourage the very busy lady in the dining area to be diligent about cleaning tables and chairs. We did our own anyway. But she was so sweet.
The entire Marriot experience I had I did not allow my arrival to my reserved room being given to someone else to detract. It was clean, breakfast was decent, the shampoos and soaps werent cheap garbage, the pool and exercise areas excellent. It was the most comfortable bed! I suggest better guarantees on the room you select online, as I would have stayed another day.
Mrs. Waters in the breakfast area has to be the most caring and enthusiastic staff member attending the breakfast area of a hotel we have ever encountered. They are so blessed to have her on their team as she definitely complements the breakfast experience with exceptional service and charm. Zeta and Zuly at the front desk were also so professional and helpful during our weekend stay. You will be very pleased with the room cleanliness but if you do need housekeeping for anything, you will find them to be very nice, proactive, and able to communicate with you in English. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but they have made an assertive effort to minimize the inconvenience and distractions by doing a section at a time. We hope to return to this hotel in the future and experience even nicer decor, rooms, hallways, and lobby area, but it was quite pleasant already. Rooms are spacious (especially the suites) and very comfortable with ample amenities. But, again, it is the very courteous and welcoming staff that make the difference. They are on par with even the most high end Marriot facilities (JW, Renniasance, Embassy Suites) I have experienced as a Titanium member, and even comparable competitors when my work has required that I stay at a Marriot competitor, such as Hilton, Ritz Carlton, Double Tree, etc. The front desk staff are very responsive and intuitive about the needs of their guest and want to provide them with excellent service and peace of mind during their stay. We very much appreciate it and do not take their efforts for granted.
The hotel is clean but definitely on the older side. minimal discussion at check in (11:30ish am). Wasnt asked if I wanted points or amenity. (still dont know if I got points). Bathroom had an empty counter. No tissues, shampoo, soap. NOTHING. Tried calling 3x to get these items. Phone rang 20+ times but no answer. I was going to go down stairs but a housekeeping cart was in my hallway and i took soap and shampoo. The next morning taking a shower was a chore and too late to ask for maintenance since I had a meeting at the office. The shower faucet tuned like a broken clock and water would come out but no ability to find cold or hot. The shower head didnt work on all settings. It only worked with the center 3 holes or the mist mode but the mist mode was also spraying water onto the bathroom floor even with the curtain drawn because the curtain rod drooped and the curtain wouldnt stay closed.
We stayed at this Marriott for five nights and never had room service despite our asking for it each day. As a result we had to ask the front desk for fresh towels, toilet paper, shampoo, etc, which was a real hassle especially given that there was generally no one at the desk. The hotel was also filthy; garbage wasn’t picked and overflowing in the lobby, and there was considerable mold on the shower curtain in our bathroom.
Had to change rooms 3 times before everything worked. First room.. Tv didnt work.. second room .. a/c issues.. third room.. Sink and tub wouldnt drain.. biggest complaint by SEVERAL GUESTS I saw was that a majority of the TVs dont work. But Ill say their maintenance man was THE ONLY ONE working when we got there and he did an AMAZING JOB! Wish I got his name.. his work ethic was second to none..
This property had multiple problems, even though it was a late night check-in the desk did not acknowledge my loyality status at the property. Was told that breakfast was till 9:30am the following morning and it was closed and put away at 9:02. The night of the stay the TV system was none functioning and called the desk and they said that it would be fixed in the morning or to try some combination of unplug and wait and return on and off to get the system to work. The shower was a weak leak at best, did not work at any setting except to barely leak on me. Choose another location and not up to the standards I expect and regularly get from marriott.
This was the most dirty unkept room I’ve ever stayed in at a Marriott property. We were checked in 3 times, 2 to rooms that were not cleaned from previous guests and the 3rd the beds were made but room not wiped down and dirty toilet (and 2 of the rooms the keys didn’t work the first time, after 5 trips up and down the elevators w luggage we just wiped the room down ourselves). Everything about the service was poor. Our room was cleaned only once in 4 days and keys stopped working everyday. Hotel was dirty and front desk staff was indifferent about every inconvenience including getting locked out of our room everyday w keys not working, no housekeeping, only hot water from the shower, etc. When I checked out, the 2 previous guest before me checking out were complaining about how dirty their rooms were. Front desk staff was indifferent so i didn’t say anything when i checked out. Sorry to leave a bad review but this was, unfortunately, my worst Marriott stay ever.
Honestly I don’t understand how a hotel could sell your room if you don’t check in before 6. We had a room block for our softball team and didn’t get there until 9, when we were told that our room was sold because we didn’t check in before 6. They sold 2 of our rooms, leaving us scrambling to find a room at 9pm, already tired from a long day. Ended up thankfully getting the last 2 rooms at Hilton, which cost a good bit more. I will never never never book a room personally or for a team or any event at Fairfield ever again. Why didn’t they call, email, anything before selling our room? Also, why didn’t we know up front that this was a “policy?” And why haven’t I gotten a refund for the booking! They should be ashamed.
We arrived at 1130 and was told there were no rooms available. When I show the rep the online price and availability all of a sudden a room was available. We got to out room and the direct tv was not working. We were told by another guest in the morning all rooms were effect. We went to the breakfast area there was no coffee (coffee machine was broken), a few yogurts and bagels. I would hardly call this a hot breakfast. On the positive side the bed was comfortable and we had a great night sleep.
Within the service industry my personal opinion is that service should be a very important characteristic of your business. When I arrived at the hotel I couldn’t get anyone to come to the front desk to check in. Upon departure I noticed I was charged twice for my room and there was no one there that could solve my issue so they made a note for the manager to reach out to me. I have contacted the hotel since arriving back home and still can’t get anyone to help me rectify the issue.
Incorrect check in, trash in the hallway and around the pool area, no cable for over 24 hours and no towels available on request. I am a Marriott member and this stay was disappointing- I placed requests for extra pillows and adjoining rooms ahead of time through the app, neither of which were completed. It was over 12 hours before I even received a response. Day shift was more helpful that night and the food service was run smoothly but over all would not recommend.
We had stayed at this Fairfield a year ago and was very pleased with the hotel and service. This time that we stayed at the hotel there was trash bags setting in different areas. We had to change rooms twice due to the rooms had not been cleaned. One room had a use bar soap in the shower and a sheet with the stain on it. The next room they moved us to had a couple inches of water standing in the bathtub. They moved us to another room where we eventually stayed but in that room there was a outlet cover missing which concerned us with our grandchildren staying there. They had a crew fixing an outdoor pool. There were a couple grills and a lot of trash on the outside patio.
The only thing that was great was Constance. This lady, by far is the hardest working person I’ve ever encountered.. demand was high because there was a baseball and AAU tournament in town. It was obvious from the start they were short staffed and Constance was there 2 days during our visit working 16+ hrs. Customers weren’t that friendly or patient and she took a lot of noticed unfriendly attitudes and problems and made sure to accommodate or go out of her way to apologize. One thing is for certain… she is not recognized or appreciated. I would hope Marriott gives her a pay raise or a generous bonus because she was sinking and my heart broke for her. Thank you Constance for making our stay great!! I wish you nothing but the best and I hope you are appreciated and your hard work leads you to a company that reflects their appreciation with generous pay raises. Again, she did everything for 2 solid days!! Front desk, laundry, cleaning and juggled complaints and unsatisfied customers throughout our 4 day stay.Sincerely,#211
Room smelled like a football locker room. The amount of garbage throughout the hotel stacked up on every floor and outside of guest rooms was disgusting. The garbage can/ ash tray by the side entrance door was overflowing with empty liquor bottles and had a horrible stench, so bad that you had to hold your breathe to enter. The outdoor sitting area was a disarray and used pool towels stacked in the corner for 3 days. The milk in the fridge for breakfast was expired. The most disgusting Marriott I’ve ever stayed in for the amount of money paid for the room this was ridiculous.
First I want to say that this is the first review I have ever taken the time to write.Checking in June 30,2021 at approximately 1230 am and was greeted with a nice smile but was very dirty behind the desk . (said the owner was coming so they were cleaning) The key was giving to me rm. 208. After 3 attempts to enter the room of course up and down in the elevator. Only to find that we were trying to get into someones room. I then went down and they apologized to me and sent me to 308 only to find that someone had slept in the bed and McDonalds was still on the dresser. I went back down and spoke to them, only to be sent to another room on the 4th floor. I now have 3 teenage boys that had a commitment at 8am a little upset. So we moved to the 4th floor and went to sleep with what was left of the morning. After we returned I asked if they had any suites available and was told no. A little reluctant sends there were very few cars in the parking lot. I later asked again after dinner and was told yes sure. So we were moved to room 313. I stayed there for 5 days the room was only clean twice even after being asked I was told they were short-handed people. I will attach photos of some of the areas in our room so that you can see how clean they were as you can see in one of the pictures the towel that was on the shower curtain looks like its been there for almost a year. The trash spent two days in the hallway the outside trash by the side door was never empty the whole time I was there and as you can see in the hideaway its never been cleaned. I hope this helps the next person. I paid full price for the hotel and ask for no discounts but I am a Marriott member.
Entering this hotel I immediately noticed 3-4 piles of towels/ sheets behind the lobby about 3-4 feet high. It was around 745PM-8PM, we needed a room to sleep overnight. We drove many hours. Our room was in the 2nd floor, exiting the elevator we noticed a stench. We couldnt make it out. Then entering our room we smelled something else, we thought a deodorizer or citrus sanitizer spray... We figured due to Covid perhaps its the way they clean the rooms now. We decided to take the kids swimming in the pool. There were no fresh towels available so we asked the front desk. We did notice 2 wet used towels left by someone around the pool. As well as a empty Starbucks drink container and spots of black soil scattered about. The mattresses are very uncomfortable, felt like a cheap mattress topper. If you laid near the edge you immediately could fall off because the mattress did not keep shape. The next morning we took showers. The tub was filthy. The back corners had a mix of dust/sand substance? It looked like our room was not cleaned recently. We left around 9AM. Wont be staying here again. We stayed at a Fairfield in Cleveland, TN and the room rate was around $140 and the hotel was very clean. The stay there was very comfortable and pleasant. The hotel in20 Canyon Parkway, Cartersville GA was around $170-180 and not satisfactory.
Dirty with many visible broken features. Other little things missing (ice bucket, etc...). Manager explained she was working 12 hour days because hotel was under new management after old owner ran hotel into ground and gutted it. I hope she succeeds in turning it around but as of June 2021 she still had a long way to go. Breakfast was very nice. Lady who does breakfast kept area clean and well stocked. Food was good with abundant selection. If nothing else they need to keep her.
We stayed the night of July 5th and were VERY disappointed. As Bonvoy members we had high expectations for this property. Where should we start....the checkin: upon receiving a key we went to our room to find the door propped open with the safety latch. We peered in and once we realized no one was in there we went to check things out. There was a large puddle of water on the desk/tv stand area, the chair was pulled out in the middle of the room and a towel was randomly laying in the sink. We pulled our luggage back down to the front desk and explained the situation. A staff member went up to check on the room and came back and said it was ok that housekeeping forgot to shut the door. (even though it was 8pm at night....!?). We went back up to the room to find everything still out of sorts. The front desk explained this was the last room they had so we had no choice but to keep it.Im a big fitness fanatic so I wanted to check out their gym before I used it the next morning. Upon looking in there (its minimal but that is to be expected so no big deal) there were NO cleaning supplies, NO workout/sweat towels, and NO air conditioning!! Even more concerning was this mess of a counter-top where a combination of trash and dirty towels were laying out! I went to the desk and explained that it needed some attention. Staff member assured me he would take care of it. ***FAST FORWARD TO NEXT MORNING-the situation was worse!! (see pictures!)Around 11pm on the night of our stay the fire alarm went off! TRUST THE REVIEWS! This apparently is a common occurrence for this property.Mold on the shower curtains (this is an easy fix-just replace them!); stained towels; lack of a breakfast; and peak hours of the morning no staff was at front desk to help.STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! DO NO STAY HERE!!! TRUST ALL THE REVIEWS-I SHOULD HAVE HEEDED THEIR ADVICE!!!!!
Unfortunately this hotel does not behave like a typical Marriott. They made an error upon check-in and overcharged a colleague of mine by a few hundred dollars, even though they acknowledged the mistake before he left and said it would be corrected. It has taken close to six weeks and several hours of time and the refund has still not been paid.
THIS HOTEL IS NASTY AND GROSS!!!!! CORPORATE NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN THIS HOTEL!!!! The TV did not work, the bedding was foul-smelling, someone had either smoked in the room or on the floor, and the rancid smell had permeated the walls. There were blue shampoo bottle circles on the bathtub edge that was a sign no one had cleaned the room. I was offered another room on the first floor, it was worse, the room was unclean and the bed was not even made up. The only TV working was the one in the lobby with the sketchy construction workers watching some movie. I will never stay here again and I will stay in Cartersville for at least 3 more months with work. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!
The whole place smelled musty. The shower did not get hot. The beds were not new my husband and I sunk towards the center. The place was not vacuumed the whole 3 days we were there. I’m not sure where people said this is a super clean hotel. Our room was never touched for 3 days, no towels, nothing. Every night we had to get new room keys because our keys were deactivated (not near any electronics). Very disappointed, definitely not Marriott standards and I stay at Marriotts all the time!
Great location to I-75, Great location for Food, Great location to the baseball fields. Was not happy with the breakfast and the services provided for the cost. The room was a Marriott, the building said Marriott, but.... the service, breakfast, odd hour coffee, and other were closer to El Cheapo motel. I would stay here again, but I have better Marriott experience. This posting is more of an expectation management.
Good place thats very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast with waffle maker. Breakfast offers only carbohydrates though (no protein items). Also, swimming pool bottom and sides need repainted. This is a fairly new facility, so was amazed that the indoor pool shows that much internal wear.
The staff was not very welcoming, the room smelled like mildew, the carpet in the lobby area & the hallways was dirty, the breakfast service was disappointing...the juice machine was out of order 3 of the 4 days we stayed & the only other beverage options were coffee or milk! There were no cups in the room and only the inside shell of an ice bucket!
Hotel needs staff to run hotel. Staff offered to compensate for l of the issues but my credit card was billed for full amount and more than the price I booked thought Marriott. Now waiting to get answers. Bad service.I have stayed in many Marriott, but this was the worse.
Stayed in April 2021 after reserving and paying through Travelocity. All accommodations were acceptable. Problems arose when hotel swiped my card for incidentals, but then charged my card a second time for the room after it was already paid for. They, of course, never told me they did this - I caught it on my credit card statement. It took 6 phone calls and 1.5 months for my card to be refunded, with nothing but empty promises and new excuses with each call as to why it wasnt taken care of after the first call. The manager refused to return my calls and I had to repeatedly call to get this taken care of. If you decide to stay here, be sure to check your credit card statements to be sure you werent billed twice.
Horrible. STAY AWAY. Start to finish. Where to even begin... we were locked out of our room 5x between check in, bringing bags up, and going to dinner. We had our kids stuck in an unconditioned hallway or elevator every, 10x trips on the elevator, just to gain access to our room, every time being told by the rude front desk that “I don’t know how to use a room access card” (I travel at least once a month for work for 15 years, that really hit me nicely as you can imagine). The room (when we were actually able to access) was dingy, night stand was sticky, none of the outlets worked, it smelled like mold, the light bulbs were burnt out in all but 2 lights, the beds had a stitch and overall it was an absolutely terrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE. Terrible.
Wasnt impressed. We were given a dirty room, through the owner did upgrade us to a suite, we were exhausted and wanted to go to sleep. Then breakfast was also very lackluster. Although we got to breakfast late, there was no fresh fruit or.breads if any kind. The coffee was horrible, the eggs were powdered, and sausage were cold and hard.
Very friendly at check in. The lady at breakfast had the place spotless. I travel frequently and the breakfast area is usually horrible at most places. She served us our food, even brought some bacon from the back. I can say this was the best experience from a Fairfield Inn.
Have to say great overall experience. The day time staff is most friendly hotel staff I have ever encountered. Breakfast was wonderful, beds were extremely comfortable. Room was nice and clean, was suitably impressed. Will say pool had so much chlorine it chapped my kids skin and changed their bathing suit colors. But reported it to the hotel staff on the first night and they sent someone to look at it the very next morning and by afternoon my kids were able to swim again. Also our shower handle was broken (screw in center had overly loosened) we couldnt turn on the shower, called front desk and the late night(8pm) woman informed us they didnt have anyone who could come up and fix it, they didnt have a screw driver we could use to try, and they couldnt switch our room as they were fully booked. That is honestly my only reason for 4 stars, she seemed like honestly didnt care. We had been swimming in the pool so we needed to get chlorine off.. but she pretty much left us hanging. Luckily my handy dandy family had one in vehicle, so we tightened screw and were able to shower. Was really only negative point of the trip. Would most definitely recommend this hotel.
Complimentary breakfast was below expectations. No bread or bagels. But you have a toaster. 🤨But you have cream cheese. 🤨Empty serving dishes. You have to ask for butter. No fruit. No orange no apples. Marriot should be ashamed. Don’t advertise complimentary breakfast if you are not in that business fully.
We arrived at 12:15 amAnd had to wait at the front desk for 45 min before anyone showed up to check us in. We were shorted 2 towels and washcloths and when I went down to get more in theMorning I was greeted by another front desk person this time sitting and playing on her phone. Very unprofessional behavior for a hotel chain I have been exclusively using for almost 2 decades.
Very poor, If I could give a zero star review I will. There has been almost a month where a lady at the front desk charged my card for incidentals over a THOUSAND DOLLARS and almost a month ago none from the hotel or from Marriott has spoken to me about this issue after filing a complaint.Very poor management and organization.
My husband and I stayed here overnight. The room was super clean, the staff very friendly. However, the bed was absolutely horrible. Very restless night to say the least. The walls must be paper thin we heard all the noise from the room next to us. The front desk dealt with our noisy neighbors. The rest of the night was quiet but dealing with that bed made us miserable. The employee out front gave us a discount because of the bed. It’s a shame, I would be very reluctant to stay at another Fairfield because of our experience with a wore out bed. If a hotel has a bad bed it kind of makes everything else about the stay a negative experience.
Stayed a couple days in a suite. The room was clean, bed comfortable. It was very quiet. The breakfasts had a good selection. I never saw any help though and the floor where the food was was sticky. Overall we were very pleased and will stay again. The rooms do need better coffee makers
We were highly satisfied with our stay! It was myself, another mom and 6 girls. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The pool was perfect for the girls! The other mom and I enjoyed sitting outside on the patio while being able to watch the girls swimming inside. We all slept in a suite with 2 queen beds and sofa bed. The sofa bed was just a bit bigger then a twin and wasnt very comfortable. But the queens were comfy and the room was plenty big for all of us!
We were very pleased with our stay at this property. It was conveniently located near shopping and restaurants as well as the Lake Point Sports Complex that we were going to the next morning. The hotel was fully booked so we expected it to be noisy but we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet our room was. The room was very clean and attractive. The bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was tasty. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again!
It was nice and clean. We had an issue with the air conditioning but thankful it started working properly again before it got to hot. The breakfast was amazing and included in your room price. Only bad thing about the hotel was that the hallways were so hot. It seemed to be about 90 degrees in the halls!
They have an a outstanding bill with their vendors and hang up on them. One of the owners name is Tony Patel and he doesn’t respond to his calls or emails. Francene the GM of this property hangs up without even letting a word get accross. They pay their house keepers $4.25 a room cleaned.90 days an will not respond to any attempts to Eve discuss!
First, I am not one to complain but this was not a good experience and would have expected much better from Marriott as I had in the past. We arrived at around 4:00p.m. Waited to check-in because no one was in sight. My husband then finally saw someone through the window who was just sitting there. We got her attention and she checked us in. We were given room 123 which was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. It’s a definite squeeze to get luggage around the corner because of the narrow passage between the wall and the. “dresser’. Went to plug the phone charger into the sockets on the desk lamp....nope - don’t work. Went in bathroom to wash my face before bed and water was barely warm. Got up next morning, went to make two cups of coffee....only one regular. Husband went to take a shower and the water would be warm then cold, warm, cold..... also No hair dryer. We departed shortly before 7:00 a.m and the breakfast area was still dark and other guests were waiting. Told the gentleman at the desk that we were checking out and about water temp, no hair dryer, etc. He nodded his head and barely acknowledged my complaints.
We have been to the Fairfield Inn many times with a group that does weekend retreats but this is the first time we have actually stayed there. The retreat was great but there were problems from the first day. A water main broke and there was no hot water for showers that night. The second day a group moved in next to our suite for an afternoon and most of the night a very loud party. After warning the front desk twice about the noise and asking that it be stopped by 11, we came back to a quiet room at 9:30. Lights out at 10:50, the party returned next to us at 11:10! I finally called the desk at 1:30 a.m. and someone came up and asked that it stop - which it did until they got on the elevator - then it started again even louder. They left the room at about 2:10 a.m. and it was quiet until about 6:40 a.m. at which time they came back yelling, cussing and fighting at the top of their lungs! I was really disappointed in the stay because it cost much more than it should have even after explaining and complaining to the management. But I do realize there are no guarantees for anything anymore and chalk this experience up to a lesson learned! On the good side, all the staff that were present and served us were really friendly and I know they tried their best to make our stay comfortable.
This is a great hotel. When I did my advance check in on Bonvoy, I found that I had received a free room upgrade, which was an unexpected surprise. Check in on arrival was effortless. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for places for dinner. The breakfast was fine, and the breakfast staff was also very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent. The location was very convenient both to the interstate and to Cartersville itself. I would definitely stay here again on future trips to the area.
This was a terrible experience. There was no TV available in the room, every channel said that it was not purchased, front desk said they were working on it, but never worked. Asked for manager to call, no one ever did. In the morning noticed mold in shower on curtain and on shower head. Disgusting. Will not return, and I would like some or all of the points I used for this room credited back.
We pre-picked and pre-paid/reserved this room based on the explanation of it being an updated hotel during our travel from Disney back to the Chicago area. We checked in at 11:00 at night and our room had an awful stench. We opened the window for fresh air. We reported it but were told they were sold out. I requested they find us another hotel in the area. I received a call from the front desk 20 minutes later asking if we planned to stay or not. I was under the assumption they were looking for a room for us bc that was our conversation, and she said she could bring our bill to $0 if we left. By this point it was 11:30 at night. Another front desk clerk offered to come up and clean the bathroom. At this point, we accepted. She used a strong smelling cleaner, so needless to say, we ended up with the window open all night in 40 degree weather due to multiple smells. The bed and pillows were comfortable, but there was a ground in stain sitting on the carpet right next to the bed and a dirty kleenex on the floor behind the chair. Breakfast was sub par at best. Items such as bagels and english muffins were stale, and there were no eggs due to a cooker as she stated, not working. It appeared they were putting some out as we were finally leaving to head home. We were extremely disappointed in the hotel especially for the amount of money we spent for the night.
I got a room here for my birthday and the hot tub was not working. It felt good to sit in at least, but it was disappointing. Apparently, this is a very common problem at this location. Other than that, the rooms were very clean and neat. The beds were very comfortable and I got a good nights rest. The employees were very friendly and overall it was a nice stay. Breakfast in the morning was very delicious.
Stayed here for 2 nights escaping Hurricane Irma. Arrived very early for Check in and after a complimentary breakfast, a room was clean and ready for us. The front desk associate was amazing. She accommodated us and was extremely polite and professional as well. The rest of the staff were plesant and helpful. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and will also use this hotel again when travelling through Georgia.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I did expect the room to look and feel a bit more luxurious for the price though. It is a standard hotel room, mini frig, microwave, and small tv. The bed was very comfortable, the hotel smelled great, it was quiet, and clean. There is a McDonalds next to the hotel which is convenient. The 2 staff members that I talked to at the front desk were both kind and friendly. (I stayed for one night on a Wednesday)
What can I NOT say about this place. Upon check in the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The housekeeping staff are so friendly, the free breakfast is always hot, fresh coffee is available 24/7. Since my husband and I will be here for up to 90 days for his job...it makes a world of difference to deal with a great staff day in and day out. A big thank you to all the staff.
We were traveling to Florida and traveled 760 miles that day so by the time we got to the hotel, my husband and I were extremely tired. The hotel staff was welcoming and friendly and our room was nice and very clean. We were able to control the temperature of the room which was nice. We both had a good nights rest before beginning the next days long drive. Breakfast the next morning was good and hot, although we missed not having bacon or sausage. The breakfast staff was also very friendly. We will stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to others.
I usually only stay at Marriott hotels because of the consistency, comfort and cleanliness. After driving from Miami we decided to take a break at this location. The lobby of this location was very clean. And the woman at the front desk was extremely nice and inviting. After exiting the elevator we noticed fans lining the walls, the room was okay, needs to be updated, feels like a regular hotel(not your typical Marriott ). The worst part was the beds, we tossed and turned all night, and my back hurt for two days after!!! Breakfast was really good, and the staff kept breakfast area clean.
I want to start the review by stating that Im a Platinum Elite member and my wife is a former Director of Sales for the Marriott brand. The Cartersville Fairfield in does not live up to the Marriott brand. First, the mobile app request for extra towels were completely ignored. Next, notwithstanding my automatic upgrades, they did not even attempt to search for an upgrade. AC in the room was not on and room was over 85 degrees when entering. Room smelled musty, fixtures were old and outdated. Shower curtain in the room did not fit looked as though it needed replacing. Our room was not serviced by housekeeping and when this was brought to the attention of the desk, they had an oh well attitude. Breakfast was sub par, the sausage patties were drowning in water, they only had a single waffle iron which was clearly inadequate for an Interstate Exit hotel. If you decide to use the pool, make sure you bring towels, they only had one fresh towel available. Our request for additional pool towels went unanswered. The lobby was very cluttered, there were couches and ottomans that were placed very close to the entrance of the hotel, that while pleasing to the eye, blocked ingress and egress to the property. The luggage carts were very worn and likely there since the hotel opened. Cartersville Fairfield, get your act together!! Youre an embarrassment to the Marriott brand!
We were part of a group staying there for a wedding. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprise with the healthy choices provided at the continental breakfast as we are both on weight watchers. I was thrilled with the eco-friendly nature of the hotel. Cardboard plates, cups and bowls. No styrofoam and plastic here! Thank youWedd
I was a bit apprehensive about staying here after my experience at a Fairfield inn in Marianna, Florida which was a disaster. This hotel was very updated with modern furnishings. The breakfast was great, and included in the price of the room. Most of all the staff was very friendly and courteous. I stayed there for 6 days and could not tell you of 1 staff member that was not awesome. The check-in was fast, even with a trainee working with a seasoned employee (blond with short hair), the staff at the buffet was so nice and accommodating, and Danielle, our room cleaner spoke English and was great at accommodating our needs.I also met Tony, the General Manager who was just as kind and had a few moments to talk. He did not look like he had to run off and do something. This was a great experience. The only bad thing I could say is that there is only 1 washer and dryer in the hotel. Getting laundry done took effort as there were a lot of players staying the week for baseball competitions
Great hotel, friendly, helpful staff, large room! We would definitely stay again. We were in Cartersville for a soccer tournament. The soccer complex was a mere 5 minutes from this hotel, and the rates here were much affordable.I couldnt get the dryer to work, so the front desk associate was able to dry my daughters rain soaked soccer uniform in their industrial dryer. The breakfast was subpar with only turkey sausage, and scrambled eggs offered as hot options on the two days we stayed. These items were also cold and I had to ask the staff to warm up my plate in their microwave. They did offer Belgian waffles, and plenty of cereal and bread choices too.We booked a suite which was very affordable at only $10 above the regular room rate.
Hotel was booked solid, but we got our reservation in just in time. Thankfully they were able to switch us to new rooms as we checked in. The breakfast was better than I remembered, with fresh fruit and even yogurt. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Thank you! The breakfast was typical continental with bacon, scrambled eggs and the make your own waffle plus typical pastry, fruit and cereals. No quality issues. A busy breakfast room with all the guests but it is actually one of the larger breakfast areas I have seen at a Fairfield. The place was spotless, and obviously newly renovated.
I booked on my mobile app well in advance and called the hotel staff the day of check-in to let them know I would be checking in the following day in the very early morning hours so they would not give away my room. I also checked in via my mobile app. They confirmed that they would not give away my room. Then, when I went to check-in, they had given away my room and no other rooms were available. I had to wait for a room to become available and get cleaned but they would not give me the room for the price under which it was originally booked. I ultimately had to pay MORE for the room and was given no compensation of any sort. I am extremely disappointed in Marriott!
Overall a clean hotel with helpful staff. The front desk was more than willing to upgrade us to a suite when I realized a normal room did not have a fridge. They no longer have a hot tub and they apologized for it. The pool is small, not really warm but inside so ok. The room was nice, spacious and clean but only enough coffee for one.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I did expect the room to look and feel a bit more luxurious or updated for the price though. It is a standard hotel room, mini frig, microwave, and small tv. The bed was very comfortable, the hotel smelled great, it was quiet, and clean. There is a McDonalds next to the hotel which is convenient. Fairfield usually provides a good experience. Traveling from Florida to Michigan, it was a great place to rest and get a good filling breakfast before continuing on. The front desk staff and breakfast attendant are always very pleasant at other locations, and this one was no exception. We arrived late and asked for a first floor room so we had a shorter walk to lay down our sleeping daughter. We were accommodated immediately and got to sleep quickly.Woke up early to continue driving. Breakfast was hot and fresh, with the cook coming out several times to greet guests and even interacted several times with our young daughter, which made her morning. The only thing I wish was that hotels of this caliber were slightly more affordable, as we typically just get a room to sleep and leave in the morning, it never feels like you shouldve paid as much as you have. But with other cheap hotels usually being a gamble on cleanliness and hospitality, it is usually the only sure bet to have a quality nights sleep.
Needed a nice soft bed for the trip home, and these were not too bad. My wife sleeps on a cloud at home and said as far as beds go, these were not bad. Service was okay checking in, and was good this morning. Continental breakfast means muffins, pastries, waffles, juices/milk, cereal, coffee, no meat, fresh fruit could have been riper. Stay was just okay. Hotel was clean, the pool has way too much chlorine for my taste, burns the lungs.
Okay, so after Indianapolis I had sworn off Fairfield Inn. I still love Marriott long time but some Fairfield properties... well. But there’s not a lot of Marriott choices in Cartersville, Georgia- so I reluctantly booked this one. And I must say, it’s a very nice hotel! My room (301) was just a tiny bit stuffy, but the hotel isn’t full so there may not have been anyone staying here right before me so I can get over that. The price is RIGHT at $112/night. The service has been very good so far and it’s nice and clean. I guess I’ll put Fairfield back on the “maybe” list. Good job Cartersville!
The tub/shower control valve was broke we could not take a shower or fill up the tub. Being at the ball fields all day that was very frustrating. I went downstairs to complain and they didnt even have a maintenance person on staff to fix the problem or move us to a new room
This hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff is top notch. The breakfast was great, lots of options (not a lot of gluten free options though) from cereals to yogurt to omelettes. The breakfast attendant was super nice and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Right away the card reader broke. The employees on duty were incredibly helpful and courteous and got the problem straightened out. The cleaning crew, the maintenance crew, and the front desk were the most friendly, hospitable, and professional people I have ever dealt with within the Marriotts across the country that I have stayed at in the last 6 years. If only one thing comes from this review please let it be brought to the attention of the employees of Fairfield Inn & suites Cartersville that I think the customer service that they delivered to me is what the rest of the Marriotts should strive to provide to their customers.
Please don’t steal from my room.I am sorry to say that I will not be recommending this location to anyone. After returning to our room after the first night stay, my wife and I notice that someone had removed a bottle of beer from the room refrigerator and left the refrigerator door open which caused the condensation from the refrigerator to leak out. I did inform the front desk immediately and asked to speak to the manager who was not on duty at the time. I asked the front desk rep to make a note of the incident and pass it to the Manager in the morning. The very next morning I did speak to the manager and she informed me that she was unaware of the incident.I informed her I was disappointed in this location and its staff from removing the beer from our room. This incident caused us to consistently bring any valuables we had in the room with us when we left the room during a visit to see a sick family member. As a worldwide traveler with Marriott I was expecting the same level of service and trust that I have grown accustom too. Unfortunately this incident is now making me think twice about staying with Marriott and possibly cancelling my Marriott Credit Card.Maybe next time the Hotel will do better.V/rJohn
This was a great hotel, everything from the Employees to the room were very inviting and relaxing. Only issue I had was they only had 1 washer and dryer, and with my granddaughter playing in a local basketball tournament for 3 days, It would have been nice to have additional units available to reduce the wait time due to other players and teams playing in the area causing a long wait time.
We were so pleased with our experience at the Cartersville, Georgia Fairfield! The entire staff went out of their way to meet our needs and they were extremely friendly! The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The lobby was inviting and warm. I give this hotel a 10 on everything!
Struggled to post this but I would want to know. 1st I give the staff a 5 star rating because they handled it great. I stay in Marriott a lot (weekly) I trust the beds are clean and never check. After I unpacked my things I notice the bed didnt look right. Sheets not as tight as the should, bed skirting was pulled up. I decided to check bed. Omg the hair. Not just a little, like someone was cutting hair on the bed. Pictures dont do it justices but see for yourself. Again the staff responded with care. I will be back because the did such a great job
Lovely guest room and facility. The guest services staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The only issue that I have with Marriott in general is that reward points are used, guests may only receive a basic room. I spend an aweful lot of money on my Case Marriott Rewards card and staying in rooms to build up these points.
It was a dark and stormy night. Id been driving for 13 rain soaked hours. The road was nearly invisible behind sheets of spraying water and my eyes felt like they had lead weights on them. There was no way I couldve made it to and through Atlanta, despite all my carefully laid travel plans. I just pulled off the nearest exit and stumbled my way to the Fairfield Inn. Ahh. Off the road. The check-in was quick, the discount rate for Old Farts was good and we were in our digs in no time. The room was nice, clean and well-maintained. The decorations were modern and didnt offend anyone with either color or design. The bathroom had a minor leak at the faucet but we were so tired, we didnt even report it. (Room 318 if you absolutely must know.) The wi-fi was easy to find and checkout the next morning was a breeze. We were too early for the included breakfast, but you can bet theres eggs, and stuff.Bottom line: its a good place, probably even when it isnt raining cats and dogs.
This was a very busy weekend at the hotel, but the staff did their best to take care of our family and accommodate our needs. Breakfast was great and all the personnel were extremely helpful! The room was clean and the pool let our kids burn off some energy before bed.
The room and personnel was great. With the Covid 19 pandemic going on I knew there would be no onsite breakfast. They only offered coffee and sausage/egg/cheese biscuit to microwave. I dont eat eggs and cheese so that wasnt an option. She offered us 2 small granola bars as we were leaving. Couldnt even get a carton of milk, juice, or bottled water. What would we have done had we had children with us?Would be better to give out redeemable coupons at McDonalds, Burger King, etc or other local restaurants nearby.Encountered same type of issue at the Mt Vernon IL Fairfield-- only got 2 mini muffins and had to make my own coffee. In essence there needs to be more CONSISTENCY and choices in what the traveler receives at all hotel locations during this pandemic.ALL VERY DISAPPOINTING AT BOTH HOTELS, especially when there are ample restaurants nearby you can partnership with during this time. Its not about the money but experience.Stayed at competitor hotel in Blue Springs MO and the to go breakfast much better--Large prepackaged muffin, small orange, yogurt cup, and bottled water in nice to go bag.
I am outraged with this facility. I stay here often because I travel a lot. Every time I stay at this hotel a problem comes about once i check out. The staff is very undertrained. Sometimes, i will get an employee that knows what they are doing at he front desk. They do not respect guest privacy, and the Do Not Disturb sign on the door forget about it. They come banging on the door at 9, when check out is at 12. They knock numerous times, no matter how many times you tell them to stop. My last stay here was my last time using this hotel. I was charged a $250 smoking fee 2 days later after my stay. I AM NOT A SMOKER! the manager sent me a picture of a cigarette log whatever that may be. However, the smoke fee was added AFTER another guest bought the room for two nights. Not to mention the smell of marijuana from their workers, maybe that’s why your facility smells like smoke. Start checking your workers on the clock. I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN.
This is a nice clean and comfortable hotel. My one, small complaint is about the gluten free breakfast option. The only thing she could find is a bag of cereal. It appeared to a chex type of cereal but it was just the bag that lines the box. No box. No label. No expiration date. Just the bag with gluten free hand written.
I booked my room over 2 weeks in advance. It was a King suite. My wife and I have a 5 and 3 year old, so separating the kids at be time is important. I confirmed and checked in the room via the app the night before. When we got to the hotel, we were told our room was unavailable because they gave it to someone else. They told us they could give us 2 queen rooms in different parts of the hotel, which would not work. They ended up giving us 1 room with 2 queen beds. Also, when I called down to have someone bring a box of Kleenex up, they said that I could come and get it myself. The box of Kleenex in the room had 2 tissues in it. I pushed back and said I have young kids and could not come and get it. They said that it would be about 15 minutes before they could bring it. We got a call about an hour later about bringing the tissues and I said nevermind. When I addressed the room issue the next morning with the manager he said “Well you got a cheaper room”. I did not want the cheaper room. I wanted the room I reserved which would have accommodated my family.
We chose an executive suite for our sons baseball tournament so that the 4 of us could stay comfortably. This was no suite. There was one king bed separated with a little half-wall. The sofa bed was basically a small loveseat that pulled out into a twin bed. Certainly not room for 4 people as advertised. The sink and counter is INSIDE the bathroom, so that nobody can be using the sink while another is in the bathroom or shower - again, very inconvenient when there are 4 people. The shower was terrible - basically just a trickle of water, except for the spray out the back of the shower head onto the wall. And surprisingly, there were no USB ports to charge devices. Im pretty loyal to Marriott, but next time my son plays at LakePoint, we will find a different hotel. I will say the bed was very comfortable if thats all you care about.
I recently stayed at this location while in town for work. The housekeeping did not even clean my room one of the days! I got back after work and wanted a shower and I had no towels and my room wasn’t touched. The days that they did clean, it wasn’t cleaned very well at all. There was water damage to the wall between the toilet and the shower. This is not the level of any other Marriott property I have ever stayed at.
We used the meeting room for my husbands surprise party. LaDonna was more than accommodating for the times we needed the party room. Not only did we get to use the room for several hours for the party and set up but she also allowed us to use their tablecloths. The room was completely set up with tables, chairs and tablecloths for us. The front staff and maintenance guy were very helpful and kind. We highly recommend this hotel for any reason you would need the meeting room.
Room wasn’t very clean. Toilet leaked overnight and folded the bathroom. When I attended front desk at 4am he advised he didn’t have access to linen closet and couldn’t help me. Reception upset that we took fruit for our toddler 5 minutes before Breakfast time. Will not return.
My compliments go to Darren on the front desk. It is refreshing to encounter competent personnel who patiently listens to your concerns and goes out of his way to appropriately follow through.Darren is pleasant, intelligent, and represents the hotel well. My room was clean, accommodating and served me well. I look forward to visiting again.
Front desk snapped at me with I ask if my emotional support companion could come in he wanted to clarified he is not a service dog that he was some kind of expert on certification about that...but he was nice enough to allowed me use restroom and charge my phone and he padded his back saying it that at least he could help me with that I was grateful but that one comment of him been an expert on approving my emotional dog not a service dig was not necessary
I was extremely pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. And the interior design and color schemes made our stay incredibly comfortable and pleasurable. I would recommend this property to my family, friends, and clients. And I am looking forward to our next stay with Marriott and Fairfield Inn & Suites.
I enjoyed the staff and the quality at our stay, but there was a musty smell for the three days that we were there. We paid a premium price for this hotel and could have stayed somewhere else to save $30-$40 and still been in a nice hotel. Thats what we will do next time.
If you black dont dont go to this hotel you will be better off staying in the city if traveling to Atlanta.. Any other Marriott will treat you with respect but not this one.. The general manager and cleaning staff is disrespectful, unprofessional and very basis.. Was told to leave after burning sage, hemp leaves and sweetgrass on property, which I burn before any meditation n yoga session . Ive stayed at less 50 Marriott/W properties and have never had this problem. The staff here are very uneducated and unreasonable. Maybe if the place was nice they could get a pass, but the place needs a deep cleaning and remodeling. I rated it a 1 because 0 wasnt a option
I love when it looks like the owners take care of their business. The free internet was great for casual use looking up local businesses and getting directions. The bed and bathroom were spotless. So was the rest of the room but those two are my most important areas. No worrying about walking barefoot on the carpet either.
I was only there for a conference so can only speak on the conference room and the staff. I was welcomed right away, the conference room was clean, access was great. The only thing that was a but burdensome were the lack of bathrooms in the lobby. There are only 2 bathrooms; one for women and one for men with only one toilet in each bathroom. The 10 minute breaks during the conference were spent waiting in line to use the bathroom :(Everything else was amazing!!
If you just need a place to stay for the night Im sure youd have not problems here. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I was there with my family for several day for a wedding. The pool area was disappointing and not usable. I had trouble booking the room, and had to call several times to get it straightened out, and even then my reservation got messed up.
The Staff at the fairfield Inn in Cartersville were friendly, helpful, and professional . The location of the Hotel was ideal, it had several resturants, and anywhere you could think of to shop. The parking area was well lite and had plenty of spaces. The inside pool and hot tub was a great place to relax, and the pool was heated. The exercise or fitness room only had two treadmills and no other equipment. The breakfast was a well balanced breakfast with fruit, sauage, eggs, juice, cereal, Toast, and any breakfast beverage. The only down side experience I had at this location was the noise level. I could hear every word in the rooms next to me and from the hallway. It just doest have enough noise reduction.
We love the Fairfield for many reasons, mainly mattresses and bedding, pillows, cleanliness, consistency, courteous staff, decent breakfast, ease of in and out. I have given this one 5* on tripadvisor which we feel is a great forum. We loved the little town and wished wed had more time to explore. Our choice for dining was not great and we wished wed searched more or googled. A list of nearby restaurants would be helpful.
We pre-paid a weeks stay. The housekeeping doesnt clean the rooms, give fresh towels, or even empty trash. They offer a continental breakfast, that is never out at the time they say. The night front desk clerk is rude, and uncooperative. The parking lot was full a truck and trailer were taking up 5 parking spots and she bluntly refused to ask him to move or change the way he was parked, and she would not allow us to park anywhere else on the property. She also said if we parked up front she will have us towed. I would not recommend this hotel as long as long as they run it the way they do.
The hotel was fantastic. I travel quite often and this Fairfield was one of the best I have stayed at this year. Top notch service, cleanliness, and amenities. Close enough to Atlanta to avoid staying in the city, but not too far from the airport to cause issues catching a flight.
We needed one queen bed so the price was very high even though the staff was great and the room was clean and the blueberry muffin was yummy. We used the couch for bags. We didnt need or want to pay for a suite for the two of us-- just a bed. We checked in about 8:30 pm or later. We got the last parking place. exhausted
This is an excellent facility. It is beautifully decorated, has large comfortable rooms with very large bathrooms and good closet space. This may be an economical hotel but it is luxurious. Even the bath amenities are upgraded. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, too!
As Fairfield hotels go, its one of the better ones out there (and Ive been to a few) - 5* rating based off that - Obviously not a 5 star hotel - but for the value you are getting a great experience (I got $129 rate).Rooms are clean and spacious, reception and staff were welcoming, elevator didnt creak & groan or smell (a good sign of a hotel that cares!), parking was easy & convenient. Free wifi & breakfast too. The cooked breakfast option could probably be avoided, but there are other choices for most palettesHighly recommended- you could get cheaper but you pay for what you get
The Fairfield Inn - Cartersville is conveniently located to I-75 and Lake Pointe Sports. The associates at the hotel go out of their way to provide welcoming service. The hotel is clean and well maintained but is starting to show its age a bit. Ive stayed here on two occasions and each has been excellent. Staff is very genuine and accommodating.
Bed bugs. took pictures of them all my pillow after I felt something crawling on my face at 3: 30 in the morning. Took the pillow down with bed bugs on it to the front desk. They didnt have any other room so my bags were already packed and went to another hotel.Fun times
We arrived at 3:30 a.m. because of a hurricane in Florida and were greeted with a smile and a quick check in. In the morning we were recognized by the staff as being a repeat customer and were warmly greeted. Our entire stay we were made to feel special and on the day we left they came around and gave us a warm hug.
The only thing holding this hotel together is the staff. The hotel is old, smells like mildew, our bathtub had pink algae on it, the bed was so poor that when you have two people of different weights laying in it one of you is going to sleep at an angle, and the walls are paper-thin.
I have not one bad word to say about this place! Beds- perfect. Quiet, clean, the staff was wonderful and friendly and the breakfast was fabulous!!! We stayed for one night after traveling and it was one of the best hotel experiences Ive had. We stayed at the Cartersbirg GA hotel off I75
My wife and I were staying in Cartersville, GA to spend time with friends and family. This was our first stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites there, though we have stayed with Fairfield Inn & Suites in other locations. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, while the room was very clean and quiet. We received excellent service from check-in to check-out. We will certainly stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites anytime we are visiting in Cartersville.
My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel. It was very clean and up to date. The front desk clerk was very knowledgeable, extremely nice and accommodating. Very convenient access to the interstate and close to shopping and restaurants! We will stay here again in the future!
IT reminded me of a Motel 6. The room had an odd smell to it and the shower either scalded or froze you. The walls were thin so you had allot of extraneous noise from the rooms next door and the hallway. All of the staff were kind and caring. The TV worked ok, but the choice for viewing were minimal. I would not stay there again unless I had no other choice.
The Fairfield is a great place to stay. It is right off the interstate, but away from the main street enough for a quiet, relaxing stay. The staff is wonderful. The Suites are large, clean and comfortable. The suites are somewhat a small apartment, so if you are staying for a while they are perfect. There are restuarants near-by and shopping.
Spent lots of time looking for a hotel with 2 queen beds....”thought” we found one...booked it and then checked in only to find out that they “oversold” the queen rooms and they have moved us to a king with a sleeper sofa (pull out double) Not what we wanted. Not what we planned and NOT what we BOOKED!Ridiculous!
I love Marriott, and after reading the reviews over time of continual pool and hot tub issues here and some unsatisfied patrons, I took a chance and stayed here anyway. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working and the pool wasnt clean--had a towel in it and what looked like dead skin floating in a fairly large area. Otherwise it was crystal clear. We were too tired to care at that point and just skipped the pool and went back to our room after a long day of driving. Went the next morning before checkout to let them know of the pool and several other small things that together made the stay not worth the 15,000 points. We have a favorite Fairfield we like to stay at in Macon that is only 10,000 points and has a large saltwater pool, but we were too tired to drive the extra hours. So after arriving to find they had given our double queen room away, the pool/hot tub issues and several smaller issues, I was feeling a bit put out that I had used more points for less of an experience. I spoke to the desk staff and the woman was defensive at first and asked why I hadnt come to tell them about the pool the night before so they could do something about it. Not too professional to be defensive and then put your guests on the defensive, but once she knew Id be happy with a 5000 point refund, her demeanor changed and she was very kind and said they could definitely do that and apologized for the trouble and asked us to stay with them again and give them another chance.
What can I say? Second time staying here and second terrible experience. Front desk service leaves much to be desired. I was not welcomed as a guest or acknowledged as being a gold elite member. As a matter of fact I was treated as if this were the only available hotel I was able to reside.
This was our 3rd stay. Our first was during Atlantas Snowmagedon in January 2014. The staff is welcoming, knowlegable and professional. The facility is clean and extremely comfortable. Our last visit to Atlanta we opted to stay 30 miles north of Atlanta to STAY HERE. We will stay with them next time life brings us there way.

2022-02-17After a long two day trip of driving straight through from Colorado, we couldnt wait to take showers and get a good nights sleep for the night. The water was shut off to the whole building. None of our family was able to shower and we had to share one toilet that wouldnt flush. Would have been better at a cheaper hotel that had water, but didnt know until we got there. They never informed us that there was no water on site.

2022-06-12This place is a joke. $300/ night. Bed sucks. Shower sounds like a siren. Had to switch rooms because the previous room had no TV signal, so they moved us to a room that has an air conditioner that sounds like a rock polisher. I would leave, but I’m too tired to drive. There is no way in hell I’m eating the breakfast, free or not. The woman who helped us with switching rooms was wonderful.

2022-03-21This place is Horrendous! We asked at check-in about the pool. About hours, and in working order, explained we were there to swim. Got to the pool and heater is out.Ice cold! Called front desk she said sorry maintenance wont be in till next day! She will have to shut pool down! Heres the kicker hotel phone in the pool room has a sign by phone that says dial 911 for operater. Doesnt call the operator or front desk literally called 911 emergency. Called her back to get a full refund she tells me yes. I go to room to pack our things. My spouse goes down to get refund and She says no refund will have to wait to speak to management in the morning. We will never come here again. The only reason I gave it one star is because you cant leave a review unless you hit a star.

2022-06-19The stay here is terrible. One of the staff members has an attitude of a 3 year old child and did not help with the situation while laughing and giggling the entire time when I was talking to her manager about her. It’s so much else to type but I have no energy to type because of the horrible stay and the way the staff act. I would rather stay at a motel than to ever stay here again!

2022-06-19This is the worst Marriott property I have stayed at within the past ten years. The staff should not be allowed to work in hospitality field. I tried to inform the manager of my issues. My complaint went unaddressed. The manager allowed her rude employee to sit and laugh at the complaint about her. In my opinion management is the cause of the unprofessional staff.

2022-03-06Stayed at this hotel for a Volleyball Tournament. AC very loud and did not work well - had to open window. One lady in our group was bitten by a spider another had a roach in her room. Overcharged for second night- manager kept insisting I added a night to our reservations. Hope I can correct but doubtful.

2022-01-12This hotel had the feel of a motel 6, which maybe it was previously. I have stayed in Marriotts for years and this had to be one of the worst. First thing we had to do upon entering the room was kill a spider the wife saw on the wall. The room was very small and the bed was definitely not up to Marriott standards, you almost sank thru to the box spring. Not sure if this is a hotel that was previously named something else, but you need to upgrade before putting your name on it. On the bright side, the staff was very kind and professional, which is the only thing that got this hotel 2 stars.

2021-09-19The staff was rude, unfriendly and extremely uninterested. The exception was the lady at the front desk at 3:00pm Friday September 17.The room was marginally clean, no hair dryer, animal/human hair on the chair in the living room area, carpet felt dingy. My first night there I tried to call to the front desk to tell the the TV didnt work. I tried for over an hour, finally had to go down there. The woman had TURNED OFF the switchboard. She told me the TV was out for 24-48 hours. Someone from maintenance did come to my room, reset the cable box and I got TV for a few hours then out again. It never came on in the bedroom. When I was downstairs a couple who had checked in shortly before me were leaving because they were so disappointed with the place. On Friday I came back to the hotel about 2:30pm and had to leave by 3:15pm for another appointment. My room key didnt work so I had to come back downstairs and no one was at the desk. I waited over 15 minutes then a very unprofessionally dressed young man came up and said oh are you waiting on me. I told him I needed new room keys. He the proceeds to help a woman who walked in the door from the parking lot. I had to intervene and tell him to help me first since I had been standing in the empty lobby for so long.EVERY DAY I had to have new keys made because they kept cancelling my keys.My family and I have stayed in Marriott properties around the world, on every continent, THOUSANDS of nights. THIS IS BY FAR AND AWAY THE WORST PROPERTY, STAFF AND SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
