This was so gross.. The fish patty was microwaved to the point where it is hard as a rock .. There was no toy in the happy meal , that needless to say didn’t get a great response from my granddaughter.. I have friends that have over 100 McDonald’s I have never thought twice about pulling into a McDonald’s ever.. I know first hand that employee!s are extremely hard to come by .. But there needs to be some accountability along the line there.. If your business is going to repel people because of food quality maybe put a car lot there … Now we get to backtrack all the way to Cartersville to get to a decent grocery store instead of just driving through for a quick bite to eat .. Oh ! I’m giving 1 star because the ‘plain’ sundae was on point .. yes . The cup of ice cream ..
Love my West Avenue McDonalds! The morning crew is excellent. I wish rude folks turning in off Douthit Ferry wouldnt break in the drive thru line, though ... they see cars waiting around the building but she jump right in front! The cones always get knocked down. McDonalds should consider the concrete posts like they have at gas station pumps! 😊
You can ask for hot french fries and they wont listen to you I didnt eat for 8 days being sick and I was wanting hot french fries and I told him three times and they gave me code so I looked at it and failed of them and they were cold so I handed it back to them and told them they could keep it and I left they did move the same way yesterday would nuggets and I gave it back to them so I gave them money just for nothing
I am giving it one star because - stars are not in the ranking. The restaurant was dirty. I made my order quarter pounder with cheese value meal. After I ordered the person behind the counter did not give me my drink until right before my order came. Then after I got my order and got out to my truck order fries was only half full. Then after I went back in they threatened to call the cops. I ended up leaving with no food and no refund. McDonalds continues to ripoff the customer by continuing to short people on French fries. I would not recommend this McDonald’s or any McDonald’s to anybody.
Never have any complaints usually but i went there yesterday i always order the same thing a mcdouble NO PICKLES extra onion add mac sauce. This is what i got instead extra pickles no onion mac sauce remind you the receipt was correct and all smh good thing i carry my epipen where i go cuz im definitely allergic to pickles. Yall
Pretty nasty. Plus, the items never ring up on sale, and you have to get a refund if you catch them. Always happens on small frappes for $2- they ring up $2.49; and the snack McFlurry for $1 rang up $1.89. Gotta watch this location! Plus, watch for safety hazards! I slid on the slime getting my drink. See my photo. 😔
I constantly have issues with this location in the mornings. My order couldnt be any simpler. Sausage and egg Mcgriddle. No Cheese. One morning. I get a sausage Mcgriddle with cheese no egg. This morning I get a Mcgriddle with egg and cheese no sausage. The grill ticket is correct the receipt is correct, however the sandwich never is. You cant make something this unbelieveable up. The only reason I am giving them a 2 is the lady at the window was pleasant. **Update** Tried to give them another chance. See attached picture. Grill ticket says No Cheese. Get cheese and no Egg.
This is my favorite McDonalds location! They make the best Frappes!! Always smooth, hardly ever any ice chunks left, and creamy! The food is always hot and they never mess up my order. No, Im not an employee or anything, its just that good McDonalds are hard to come by.
Worst McDonalds anywhere and shockingly is a corporate store. Completely disorganized and unbelievably slow with 35 min drive though waits that are routine. Which is shocking since every time I go into the store it takes just as long because they handle 10 drive thru orders for ever counter order. Just ridiculous
This is not a 24 hour McDonalds when the blonde manager with 4 employees decide to open up the store she will claiming she does not have enough help when I was a teenager I ran a McDonalds with a manager with 4 people thats what she had she must be riding McDonalds clock somehow she needs to be investigated in and shown that she is riding the clock Claiming that theres not enough workers It would also be convenient if the store was closed due to an employee walk out then turn off the sign Also do not use Google to give store hours if it cannot be changed Unfortunately people do look on Google for the closest restaurant and when they go to McDonalds its gonna be closed also She was outside talking to someone about a car payment right up front as I pulled in pulled in so she has been on the cell phone all night trying to figure out her car payment and not running the store when theres no employees youre not supposed to be outside talking on the phone and another worker walking in circles outside the drive thru
This review is specifically about the West Ave, Cartersville location. At the end of the day, it is a McDonalds. Food quality and store cleanliness are exactly what youd expect. But the staff in the mornings at this particular location really shines! They care about your order and about you getting the right thing. They seem to just genuinely care about people. They dont treat people properly because it is their job, they treat people properly because they are great people. Thanks, morning crew. You really do it right!
Waited 25 minutes in line to order...watched 8 cars that pulled in behind me have their orders taken while my lane just sat there. Got my drink and was asked to pull into a parking place because my food wasnt ready. Finally got food, and fries were only half full and cold. Now I remember why I dont eat here very often...next time will go for a PB and J at the house!
Customer service is terrible. Ask for plain cheeseburger when ordering and I understand that sometimes the cashier doesn’t hear what you ask for. When order came out the cheeseburger was all the way. Went back up and told the cashier this was suppose to be plain. Her response you didn’t say that. Yes I ordered it that way I guess you didn’t hear me.. Well I can’t take that back. Manager on duty came up and fixed it. All she had to say was oh I didn’t hear that I’m sorry. I’ll get that fixed for you.
How hard is it to read? Or is everyone working here just that unintelligent they cant make an order correctly? Every time I place an order here on the app, the food is always made wrong. Not to mention when I had to go in and pick up my curbside order, everyone im the store looked higher than a kite.
When I pulled up to the drive thru, there were two small cockroaches at the window on the outside just crawling around. Not to mention the army of ants crawling around the frame of the drive thru window 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴. When I mentioned it to the guy who appeared to be a manager based on his attire, his response was, “the building is 30 years old” That is absurd. Doesn’t matter how old the building is.... that’s unacceptable & a health code violation. I didn’t get a receipt either. Imagine that 🙄😲. I would not recommend this location until it’s pest problem is fixed. If those critters are outside just imagine if they were crawling all over the inside on your food!!! 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮😬😬😬😬😬😬
I’m not a happy customer, order a happy meal and they don’t even put everything in the box. All my son wanted was nuggets and you couldn’t even put them in the box.Update- once again I ordered a meal and only got the fries in the bag. This is the second time they didn’t put everything in the bag
Its the best one in town and that isnt saying much. The DT order taker was friendly but the service is always very slow and they should stop selling fries because not one McDonalds in this town out of 5 can serve fries HOT like they are supposed to be. And these idiots want $15/hr??
I love this McDonalds, I just moved here not long ago, but the TWO McDonalds down the street from me would get the order wrong or Im sorry our ice cream machine is broken this McDonalds even though they are going through a major overhaul of remodeling has had the order right and has not said to me those magic words that everyone knows from McDonalds Im sorry, our ice cream machine isnt working. Honestly, a great location, a great representation of their company, and their employees are more than nice. It is nice to actually see a McDonalds try for once for customer service.
No matter what time of the day we stop to get food, the fries are cold and taste about a day old. Never receive a straw with our drinks. Poor service if you do ask. You may be kind in person, but the service and taste of your food is more important! Get it together!!!!
We typically get so so service here. This past week we were told they would have to cook more meat and to pull over curbside. After 20 minutes we went inside. They had not given us our receipt and they had given our meals to someone else. The manager that evening said sorry someone else took, it we will make more. We are not picky about apologies, but it stinks when someone does not mean it, and they had completely forgot about us and left us sitting there. For that reason, I am posting a 1 star. If they had been heartfelt, or remembered us and not left us sitting there then we would post a 3 or so.
Today was in a rush my son and I just came out of the doctors office found out he has the flu.....😷🤧 so we went through the drive thru the young lady there was so sweet and nice. When we arrived home my Big Mac was to say the least cold. I heated it in the microwave and much to my surprise it was very tasty.
Service at the drive thru continues to be very slow. Waiting 25-30 minutes is not uncommon. Cars are always wrapped around the building. Person handing out food at window 2 usually acts like they dont care. Improvement needed.7.7.2018 Waited 17 minutes to order and get food. Line wrapped around building. When I got food I noticed fries werent in bag. Had to wait longer for fries. They were not ready for customers at all.12.6.18 Ive been to this location for the last time. Ive given them enough chances. These people just do not care. Today I waited for 20 minutes just to get to the window only to be asked to pull up and they would bring out my food. Other people waited several minutes at the window without being asked to pull up. At the window the guy said to a co-worker that he gave out the wrong order. He wouldnt if he cared. Screw this place ! Dont ever go here !
Not a place to go if you are in a hurry. I placed my order and was waiting and people who came in and ordered after me got their food before me. I mean how long does it take to fix a big Mac and a Quarter Pounder... When I went up and asked where my food was people were still getting their food and I am still waiting. A manager come to help me and was more friendly with the regulars than me.. I would suggest you choose a different McDonalds..Good Luck
Lazy people and sub par fast food. I used to work in same type of job years ago... either the soda machine is just broken or they do not clean the machine like they should be. Every soda in the place(even the drive through) tastes disgusting. Been like this for months. Someone fix this location please. From now on I will be driving an extra 10 mins to go somewhere else.
They are currently undergoing a major renovation. It was very chaotic in the parking lot; youre still supposed to use the 2 drive through lanes, but their menu boards are not there, so unless you already know what you want, you get to guess at the menu. It was very slow going through the drive through and would have been a problem for anyone on a scheduled lunch break! They did get our small order right and the servers at the windows were pleasant.
Long line that took forever to get through - got my food. Nuggets were gross and dry, fries dumped in the bottom of the bag, cold, and undercooked! They crunched like I bit into a raw potato. Why even ask what kind of sauce I want if you wont even put it in the bag? Literally made my 10 dry nuggets inedible. Very dissappointed customer.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. I went to your location at 3:45 am and the note said closed until 4:00. I came back at 4:20 and there were employees in the restaurant and no one would acknowledge me. I work in the area and your facility is 1 of 2 restaurants open at this hour. Poor customer service!!!!
Probably one of the worst McDonalds ever. Ray Kroc would be rolling over in his grave if he knew about this store. Food isn’t bad, the folks are super nice but it takes forever, forever to get food. There is nothing fast about this place. It doesn’t matter if it’s early in the morning like 4:30am, 1:30pm or 10:45 in the evening your going to wait in that drive through for 15 min or more. The last two times I’ve been there I’ve placed orders waited 10 min in line and not moved then left. My wife told me that she waited 15 minuets after they asked her to pull forward and she got cold nuggets for her effort. What it boils down to is management. Either they don’t have enough employees working to shoulder the load or they aren’t hiring the right people. Commitment to excellence is lacking at this McDonalds.
Service was terrible! The lady at the window hands me my coffee with the lid halfway on, and spilled coffee all in the seat of my truck before I could make it to the cup holder. I dont even know why I stopped there for breakfast. I will be going somewhere else from now on, maybe Wendys or Martins.
Lobby staff (Ms. Charlotte?) a customer service blessing. Cleanest rest rooms Ive ever seen in a McDonalds. She turned the ladies room into a family rest room where I was able to assist my wife (who uses a wheelchair). 5-star+.However, no sausage on my sausage Mcmuffin. Regular $2 menu items were $3. Took a star.
I like the new self serve order board and it didnt take too long to get my food, but my son was really looking forward to a vanilla shake but I wasnt able to get him one. It seems that everytime I go to this McDonalds the shake machine is broke down. Can they not clean it and keep it working?
The staff is always rude. They never answer the phone or the drive thru. I sat at the speaker for 10 mintues and when someone pulled up next to me they got there order taken in SECONDS. They continued to ignore me. Will not be spending my money here. I manage a fast food restaurant and I know good quality staff and this aint it. I prefer the McDonalds by Big Lots.
Typical of any fast food joint (except Chik Fil A) these days. Several slovenly employees shuffling around the dining room on their break. Employees behind the counter had uniforms that look like they were fished out of the grease trap. I guess management has just given up on ever raising their standards to even a sub par level. Now that I think about it, its the McDonalds operator here whos at fault for just milking this place and never setting foot inside or attempting to correct its MASSIVE issues. They just dont care. The place is normally filthy and Ive personally witnessed shouting matches between employees. Why hire people with the enthusiasm and personality of a geriatric goat? Have a little bit of pride! Clean up the place..make your employees wash their uniforms and smile. Dont let them lounge around in front of your customers looking like they are half asleep. Do you REALLY need to be told this? Apparently so. How sad.
I wish I could share the video I made I bought a biscuit that was so hard you could not break it. On another occasion I purchased a drink the lady handed me the drink like everything was fine there was no carbonation when I told her she said oh we know (but we will serve it to you anyway) this morning I came by 24 hour and the lady at the drive thru said we are closed. This place should be tore down
Even though the frys smelled good, I stopped in to buy a gift card for my grandson. Note to everyone, buy gift cards at any other store than McDonalds. They couldnt find anything, finally got a scratched up card that looked used, & no envelope to put it in . This is what i got, a WHITE envelope, where has the customer service gone.
We end up coming here because this location is close to our house. That being said, I always dread coming here because their service is so awful. I have never come here where there hasnt been a problem with our food order. It is border line comical. We always say when we get here, $20 our order is wrong. No one takes the bet. They all know theyd lose.
I simply ordered a #4 (Buttermilk Chicken meal) with a LARGE fry, and LARGE coke..Total should have been $8.44, its a regular meal I get from this place.. She read it back to me as a #4 with a Large Coke and a Large Sprite, I said No, and repeated my order slowly.. Total $10.40, upset, I pulled around and she repeated what she thought she heard, a #4 with a Large Coke and a Sprite.. I then said no and for the 3rd time repeated even slower.. She gave me the right total this time, and pulled around to pick up my food, a #4, with a small fry, and a medium Sprite.. I said No, I ordered on my receipt a #4 with a large fry and a large coke and then they continued to offer me the coke...The food they gave me was cold, and I will no longer be going to this specific McDonalds, and will be instead going to the Wendys down the road..
Rosa took my order and she was great. When I got my food which was for here, the one who gave it to me gave it to me to go when it was for here and then forgot to give me my drink. I had to ask for it. Think the one who is filling the orders needs to pay closer attention to if it is to go or not.
They suck in every category. From the drinks to the burgers. I order the same thing everyday and get something different every time. I do not recommended this place to anyone in any state. My money will be spent of a place that tries to make it the way its suppose to be made.
Spent about 30 minutes in the drive thru and they still had our order wrong. We had to pull out of the drive thru and wait in a parking spot and when the manager came out she tossed us our food and didnt even apologize for the long wait and charging us for someone elses food. The food we recieved was cold and the fries were soggy. Will not be going to this McDonalds ever again.
We stopped early on during the day to get a frappe and a Ice coffee and got pulled to reserve to wait 10 minutes on the frappe that never came my fiancé had to go inside to get it .Stopped again later to get food and got pulled forward once again and when we got home they put a mcchicken patty instead of the southern style we ordered . wow ! Isnt that just messed up . best believe we will be getting a fresh one tmrw ! Ugh
Every time I come to this location something is missing from my order. The whole point of fast food is to get in and get out and not have to turn around halfway home once you realize they left the meat off your sandwhich, charged you for tomato but didnt give it to you, didnt give your child their milk in the happy meal, and put the entirely wrong meat on you sandwhich. After I politely said ...every time I come here something has been wrong please make sure this order is correct, they screwed up my order again. They never apologized just looked at me like it was my fault they forgot the chicken on my crispy chicken sandwhich.
This place needs an overhaul in staff. Slow and they may not even come to the window or speaker. I wont be back Ill go into town where they know what the heck they are doing. They need to have a night staff worth of crap. Terrible service. One of the staff told me my oatmeal was cooking and 5 minutes later they came up to the window and said they couldn’t find the oatmeal. I asked for a refund but I was very disappointed because I waited there for 15 minutes. The workers are slow and take there time even when there’s a rush. They’re not polite at all. If I could I’d give them a -10.

On 09/18/2015 @ 11:32 My daughter and I went thru the Drive thru and ordered 2 cups of soft serve ice cream....It took us a total of 37 mins we only had 3 cars ahead of us. When we finally got to the window a young girl with very short haircut on a red cell phone was texting someone it took us a total of 2 1/2 min. to get 2 cups of Ice cream because she had to finish her conversation first!!!!! UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR OF AN EMPLOYEE!!!!!total wait time 39 1/2 mins for two Ice Cram cups!!!!
McDonalds in Cartersville pretty much all of them convinces me how damn dumb this city is. not one is competent nor can they get a simple chicken nugget order right. yet people keep going back rather than going some where else. they need to fire the whole night crew and day crew as well. I get it its a Mc Job and you dont really want to take it seriously but you shouldnt be in a service job if you cant take some pride in anything. which is what it seems like at McDonalds in Cartersville where staff openly admits they screw up and dont care about you hearing it with people in the store and people at a open window. keep up the great work!!!
Constantly horrible customer service and what times. With one exception every tien I have visited this location is have hha a bad experience. I recommend a different location. Poor attitudes on employees and non existant management. Whats worse is they upset one customer and all the employees then proceeded to insult her after she and her family left with a line full of people. I will not return to this location again !!!!!!!

THIS PLACE IS SO JUNKY AND STANKY.. MY FRIES WERE SOO COLD AND GREASY THAT I HAD FOOD POISONING .. THE SWEET TEA WAS SO NASTY AND DRY , I TRIED TO CALL AND TELL BUT THEY NEVER ANSWERED. ITS THE FACT THAT YOU WAIT IN THE DRIVE THRU FOR 30 MINUTES AND STILL GET COLD FRIES... CLOSE IT DOWN!!!!!!! THIS IS JUST SHOWING ME HOW THE MANAGERS ARE. GROW UP MCDONALD!
I ordered on the kiosk. 2 meals and an extra biscuit on the side. I waited for nearly 20 minutes and got the two meals and not the extra biscuit and they tried telling me that I didnt order the extra biscuit and wouldnt listen to me when I tried telling them. Needless to say Im not going there again

2022-04-303:30 and drive through was not moving. Went inside and did a self order as a couple was having problems at the ONE order counter. But I got my order before the couple. And if I had stayed in the drive through I would have only moved 2 car spots. At least they had what looked like adequate help

2022-06-11I got a breakfast for my boss and I got 2 strawberry and cream pies and sausage egg McMuffin. Im so glad that they actually had them this time! Usually they are out. The split drive thru doesnt work well when one side has the lady who works fast and takes order better than the other because the other lane had 2 people go thru before someone took my order. Other than that, my last experience there was pretty good and fast. I didnt have to wait long to pay after finally ordering and they handed me the food fast at the food window. This was after the usual morning breakfast rush, so I think thats why it went a little faster.

2022-05-07This McDonald’s is a real piece of work. I will be contacting corporate as well. I sat in the drive-through line at McDonald’s and there are two drive-through‘s the drive-through I was in the lady was not talking on the speaker, The other drive through however took six customers who were behind me and still did not respond. When I pulled forward to place my order the lady got a attitude with me and told me I should be patient despite sitting there for 20 minutes and having several cars pass me. She then proceeds to tell me she will not take my order and I need to go back to the beginning of the line and when I tell her I will not she slams the window and gets the manager who had no problem taking my order at the window when she understood the situation because she listen to what I had to say rather than just telling me that it’s not their fault and I should start back over. The manager was nice the employee however is garbage. You will be lucky to get through this McDonald’s without an issue, I have been to several McDonald’s before I never once felt the need to leave a review because the service was bad until now. It is pitiful and I will update this review with corporate response when I get done talking to them.

2022-05-21I was actually impressed. Not only were there nice employees that didnt act like they hated their job, we ordered a sort of lengthy order (that I expected to be messed up) and they got everything right. The only thing left out was honey mustard and if thats the worst thing out of the visit, I will take it as a win.

2022-03-22Had a very strange experience at McDonalds this morning. All the lights were on employees were unloading a delivery truck, one was outside sweeping and cleaning up. Pulled up to the drive thru and no one ever answered. Pulled to the window and the employee stated that they were not serving food just cleaning for an inspection. Thats good but next time can you please put signs or some form of notification up so customers are not wasting time.

2022-06-23I witnessed two managers, one younger black male and one older black female, at this location harass a small Hispanic family at the doors entrance. I spoke with one of the family members (a bilingual) after the incident and he said the female managers behavior was unacceptable from the start and she had discriminated against them. As customers normally go inside to make their orders the female manager said, you got a problem only to the Spanish speaking customers and when they appear to be English speaking customers she said the dining room is closed and waved hello to them. The head manager standing at her side, however, never tried to stop, intervene, or calm down the female managers behavior because I think shes the head managers mother. I was able to get a contact number from the Hispanic family. It turns out one family member works for a Spanish community center and will consider a boycott of McDonalds discrimination towards this Spanish speaking community. The announcement will also appear on the Spanish radio station, he said. The family was a 80 y/o great grandmother, her son, and granddaughter.

2022-07-2830 minutes in the drive thru to be told they had a dispute and had to get a manager and when I asked if they suggested the customer to come inside to keep the drive thru moving I was met with the most astonished look, Im assuming it never crossed anyones minds inside. Food was okay.

2022-03-26Y’all sure are racking up on sales tonight but keeping most of the food. I watched cars in front of me get the wrong order. I get home and find that my order was missing food too. I panicked and didn’t check my bag bc the guy in front of me turned off his car in the middle of the parking lot and had to come to the window to get the rest of his missing food. Line was too long of a wait for me to go back out to get my missing items as well. There should be no excuse for reading the tickets and making sure the food is in there before handing it to the customer.. especially after you have that many mess ups..
