This place is amazing. Very cool gallery in front with a wide variety of art and artisan made crafts. The wine is delicious, though I only tasted the reds. The cheese plate is loaded with deliciousness, especially the moon drop grapes. BTW, the owner is a real down-to-earth, great guy who has been in the area forever and can tell some stories about the growth and development in the region since the mid-80s. Highly recommend!!!
Great place, the owners are so nice and friendly. The wine is excellent and the ambiance is fantastic. They had great live music on Sunday, juts an electric guitar player who was really good. Lots of space, lots of parking, good amount of seating as well. They have art and other things you can buy.
Here’s the deal. We like Feathers Edge..we enjoy their wines, and staff is always nice. I would give them 5 stars if they hadn’t started charging 5$ cover charge...EVEN when buying bottles of wine. I find that pretty bad. There are so many wineries that offer so much great local talent for free when indulging in their offerings, that I felt this was a real blow to how I felt about them. If you come there w a picnic basket, park yourself for hours, and only order a glass...I get that. But if you’re buying bottles of wine, I think that’s pretty tacky.
This was a great little find on our way to North Georgia. The owners were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The wines we tasted were great and the gallery had many unique pieces to enjoy as we roamed about it. We could have spent the whole day here just chatting with the owners!
My friends and I came here on Sunday Sept 5th to watch the Hughes Taylor band. We spent a lot of money on wine. A bee flew into my friend wine immdiately after she purchased it and when she asked an associate for a new glass was told told tough luck.. this Is Georgia..there are bees.On another occasion we were visiting quietly for a moment under the gazebo and a customer rudely told us to shut up because she was concentrating on the music.
Stubbled upon this little gem. They serve wine from their own vineyard and two other wineries, all were fantastic wines and fairly priced. David the owner was out there helping make sure everyone was having a good time, which was easy because the live entertainment was AMAZING!
Super nice place to hang and have some nice wine. David was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Can’t wait to come back and check out the new amphitheater in the fall! We also walked around the store and the lady was super nice and helpful in answering questions :)
I visited this winery in June 2019 for a date nite. David was very nice and friendly. I really enjoyed watching him speak with everyone that entered the winery I really enjoyed the interaction he gave to every customer that made it so personable. The automspare was very peaceful, relaxing and calming. The wine was wonderful and the music was great. The cheese tray was amazing. ALL IN ALL THIS PLACE IS DIVINE!! A wonderful place to just relax and listen to music and have a glass of wine. I will be returning soon.
With easy access from Hwy5, an unexpected stop easily turned into 2 hours. Highly looking forward to live music this year. Very friendly and knowledgeable folks. Lots of pleasant things to admire. It greatly shows that they take pride in this business and that is appreciable. I enjoyed the variety of wines as well as the souvenir glasses. To top it off, stoking the fire with music in the background was bliss. Its the little things. Vibe with Feathers Edge; a unique vineyard.
Came here for music and fell in love with the wine, service and art. Lorna helped me with my tasting and she was very knowledgeable and super sweet. The band was in the amphitheater in the back. There was some seating but we brought our lawn chairs and coolers with snacks and water (its a NO BYOB venue for obvious reasons....signs out front to tell you). The Chardonnay is one of the best....amazing!! Good times.
Feathers Edge has become one of our favorite places to sit, enjoy fresh air, the wine and entertainment now that we are able to. The owner David Boone will come and sit as if were old friends and makes us feel welcome as family. It is well worth the trip up to Ball Ground.
We were in the area to visit family and decided to stop and look at the art and try some local wine. When I was getting our leftover bottle parckage , my husband was walking out with our 1 year old son and the woman who owns the winery told him to “get out of her store” because she said he had covid. Which we just got tested for so we were safe to visit family and our results were negative.Im not sure why the owner felt that way or felt the need to be rude and loud , I was planning on purchasing some art and decided not to based on her rudeness.I gave 2 star only because the person who helped us choose a wine was nice and helpful
David Boone the owner could not have been kinder. This small Georgia winery is an epic small vineyard OTP in Georgia. The whites are quite splendid, the sweet wines are perfect with sparkling water and their new red is really really good for the altitude. If your in the Atlanta area go there. David has a landing space for. My helicopter which I always appreciate.
I wont spoil it ... Yall need to find this place.... Seriously you do .. if you dont you are missing out on something that is a true gem in the area. I wish I knew about this place sooner I would be here every weekend!!!!!! Thank you guys!!! I will be back no question !!!!

2021-08-28OK, I will admit that Im a sweet wine drinker, but if thats your thing, this is th3 place for you. Niagara was a bottle to take home, but so was the Blueberry Blush. Although they just edged out Georgia on My Mind and the Sangria. Well just have to come back. Loved the vibe. Lots of shady outdoor space, friendly owners and patrons along with good entertainment.

2021-12-01We have been to Feathers Edge several times and have always loved their selection of wine. Their sweet wines are amazing and if you couple that with live music in the weekends during the summer months, you are bound to have a great day.

2022-05-22Love the venue and the music. “Local Legions” gave us awesome classic rock and seemed to be enjoyed by all. Did not like the drone flying over nor interruption by management. The winery was out of two wines and the prices are too high for the quality. Dance area is awesome and the views relaxing.I would recommend Feather’s Edge for it’s unique entertainment and setting.

2021-07-19This place feels like its tucked away in the woods. You walk into a shop with housewares and behind that is a small tasting room. We were told they normally do tastings during the week and on weekends sell by the glass/bottle, but they do give you a taste before you commit to the glass or bottle. You step outside the tasting room onto a small covered deck overlooking a large courtyard surrounded by woods where theres a gazebo area where musicians can set up. There was a $5 cover charge for the music. We had trouble finding seats but did eventually find a spot. The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed sipping the Cherokee red blend, rocking in chairs on the deck, listening to Billy Wilkie. Would have been better without the cover charge and if the wine prices werent so inflated, but Ill probably go back. Chief of the Cherokee red blend was great!

2021-12-28We stopped by Feathers Edge to get a glass of wine & some bottles to go back to our cabin in Big Canoe with the day after our wedding and WOW. The whole vibe there is wonderful, one of my favorite wineries Ive ever been to hands down. The owners were out and about, making sure all was well and I love that! They were incredibly kind and actually made a little contribution to our wedding weekend which we will never forget. We will absolutely be back.

2021-08-01A great Sunday family day find. This wine room attached to an art studio/store is awesome. Great wine, friendly people and an awesome woodsy atmosphere. Feels like Im in a small mountain town with a bunch of friends drinking good wine.

2022-04-20They charge you a $10 entertainment fee to listen to some random local play music you dont particularly care to hear. Every other winery has live music that no one charges for, Its just expected. This place would be fine if they wouldnt be greedy.

2020-07-25Great, unexpected stop at The Edge. Live music, good wine, and a great host (David). Thank you for providing us this little oasis and letting us imbibe; we look forward to future offerings! At the moment, they offer 5 of their own wine offerings, ranging from dry to off-dry. We tried the:Sliding Rock (white) - tart and dry, with flavors of grapefruit and green apple. Good by itself and would be great with a summer salad or spicy fareChief of the Cherokee (Red) - smooth tanins with a hint of peppery notes. Bought a bottle to have with steaks 😊To supplement the sweeter side, they offer wines from Three Sisters and GA Winery.
