Stay away from the Walton Way Firehouse. Not sure what has happened to this store, but the people here dont take pride in their work. Not sure if its just the area or what. I ordered two sandwiches and when I arrived for my pick up time they still were not ready, again. I walked over to the pick up area and there was a meatball sub waiting that appeared to have sauce all over the outside of the container. I should have walked out then, but I had already paid online. So, I waited. Finally after 15 mins of watching people come & go with their walk in order I inquired about my online order. The one girl asked about it and another said she didnt hear that order called out, then they started fussing at each other. My order came out very quickly after that, but when I got home both hot sandwiches were cold. I live one block away and the orders in the past were always hot after arriving home. Wondering how that happened. Was it already ready and sitting on the counter in the back? Not sure. The toppings were skimpy and they forgot to put a pickle in both orders. Thats just plain incompetent. You have one job, and thats to make sandwiches and place a pickle with every sandwich unless asked no pickle. I will eat Firehouse again, because they serve a great cause, but I will NEVER eat at this location.
Everyone at this location is totally awesome!! Faith, the manger, was so very professional and I could feel her smiling through the receiver! I had to call them back after I got home because the food was so fresh, made to perfection, and still Hot!! I enjoyed my visit and Ill drive pass two other locations to visit this particular one, everyime!!
Stopped in while working, hoping for a new York Steamer as a late lunch (around 2 in the afternoon). The staff was friendly, and told me they were out of corned beef. What a bummer! Its ok though, they have other good sandwiches, so I chose another and opted for a combo. That was the biggest disappointment of the whole visit! I turned around to grab some chips and the rack was almost empty! The only chips left were the artisan bbq ones that no one really likes. Then I went to fill my drink, disappoint struck again as all of the lemonades, Powerades, HiC, and fruit punches were empty. I have eliminated soda from my diet, so this left me with only 2 options. I ended up getting water, completely wasting my combo investment. The sandwich that I chose was good, and my water was, eh, water. Overall, a very disappointing lunch.
On Tuesday October 26,2021 my husband and I visited Walton Way location. I ordered a large hook and ladder with no tomatoes on white bread and my husband ordered the large new Cuban sandwich on wheat bread. He received white bread and I received wheat bread. When the problem was addressed the manager proceeded to take the already prepared meat from the sandwiches and just changed it to fresh bread.🤮 very unsanitary
Ordered a pickup for a salad. Literally lettuce, cucumber, tomato and a drink. I waited another 25 minutes for this salad than the time designate on my ticket. I paid $8!!!I had a appointment at the hospital that I had to get to and thanks for the additional 25 minutes of waiting, no lunch for me today! Had to pour a cup of ice over it, hopefully it will keep. Oh, and theres no fork. Thanks a bunch.
We stopped for lunch today, it was a 15 minute or so which was fine.3 fire fighters walked in about 10 minutes into our wait. They were told it would be a longer wait because of computer orders and phone call orders.They were basically talked out of eating there. Fire men are who funds their jobs, plus being on call. They couldnt whip out 3 sandwiches right quick? They couldve made them before ours for sure but she wouldnt go for that.We left and the 3 firemen were at subway.VERY BAD BUSINESS!!
I happened to visit when upper management was in. The service was spectacular. Which is pretty common when everyone is on with senior management in the building. Great food, great atmosphere. I ordered to go to avoid the lunch crowd wait in line and the food was ready when I arrived!
These people DO NOT know how to follow directions. I just get a veggie sub with extra cheese, and they never add the extra cheese. I came to this location because it was convenient but they havent given me the extra cheese I payed for the past couple times I went there. Dont bother going to this location if you want your order to be correct.I went to the one in Martinez and boy what a difference.
I went in to order wearing my mask. All but one employee was wearing their mask while working. She was the one who took my order. Hoping she wasnt making my sub I waited. The manager then came out...said her name and looked at her. The employee new exactly what was implied. She walked to sink and pulled her mask over her mouth which was covering her throat. Only then to find out she was making my sub. I left the store and threw it away. Great lunchSo I get a response that states whats best for staff...sorry customer youre out of luck!
It should be 0 stars. I will never go back. Go somewhere else. I went today and ordered the hook and ladder salad as I always do. There was a bug in the salad. OMG. A bug in the salad and the salad lettuce had some brown leaves and it was not fresh and I was not given extra dressing. The staff has evidently changed because they were rude, with much attitude. I asked for additional dressings as I always do, and I was rudely told if you want them you will have to pay for them. You can only have two. It was a long and dramatized ordeal because I asked for additional dressing. I explained that, No, you are not going to charge me extra. So, I was only given two. I should have paid attention to the warning signs during the bad customer service experience and cancelled my order and walked away. I did not call them to report it, for what? Another salad? I think not. Please go somewhere else.
I visited today on Walton Way and was shocked to see NO social distancing nor people in line with masks on. I immediately left because I value my life and for what reasons they arent following Mayor Hardies mandate is beyond me. They dont care about their employees or customers·· its obvious they only care about money!!😠😠😠
This location has been going downhill for the last year. You can see it by the Incredibly Large Number of 1 Star reviews. I use to purchase from here for my entire family at least once a week since it is so close to work. It all comes down to customer service and this Firehouse has lost it. Poor Quality, Poor Service, Very Poor Attitudes. Now don’t get me wrong I still go to Firehouse every week if not more, but it certainly isn’t this location.
Dropped by for a sub after a very busy day at work. Feeling tired and frustrated. The nice young woman took my order. I forgot to order a drink. I asked if I could add a coke and she handed me a cup and she made a bad day into a good day. Thank you for doing what you do.
Okk so I thought all Firehouse subs were created equal until I got a sub from this location today!! Im pregnant n was craving a Club on a Sub.( I got 1 from the Wrightsboro Rd location Wednesday) This 1 however was closer to my job so after work I grabbed a Large 1. Boy was I disappointed!! It didnt even taste the same smh!! Ill never visit this location again. Also I didnt even get my pickle. If I wasnt headed to Martinez I wouldve turned back around and got a refund. Instead I got home and gave it to the dog. So disappointing. 1 person was on her phone the other just walking round while 2 guys were behind the sandwich station smh. How do you hear me order a Large Club on a Sub without onions and still make the SANDWICH wrong. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
With 6 ppl working at 2pm on a Friday & only 2 customers who had already gotten their food, the service was super slow!! I ordered a #1 just the sandwich. Took 10 min to get my sandwich. The employees just stood around doing nothing for several minutes. The my sandwich was soggy. Disappointed in the service.
Walked in on Christmas eve and they were kind, friendly, quick, and awesome. The subs were fresh, and absolutely delicious!!! We loved it. We had the new York steamer sub and the smokehouse beef&cheddar brisket. Both were amazing!! Such a huge range of hot sauce too. I tried the number 10, the number 5 (peach and vidalia) and the number 7 bbq sauce. All were really good. Kevin was really kind and jovial and he brought me the peach and vidalia hot sauce himself. Overall, a wonderful experience!
Had a long wait for my club on a sub my wifes sandwich came out ten minutes before mine. Between six and seven people behind me got served before me. When I received the sandwich it was not made right. Im not one to make a scene so I endured it. It was by far the worst sub I have ever eaten at Firehouse. The main problem was the doughy untoasted bread. I dont see me going back to the store anymore. I like the club on a sub very much if its made right
This Fire House Sub will not take anything over $20 dollars. They refused to take a $50 dollar bill. The Fire House Sub over in North Augusta, S.C. will take more than a $20 dollar bill. I paid with a $50 dollar bill and they took it. Any place that refuses to take anything over a $20 dollar bill is breaking the law. It is illegal to refuse Federal money. The group who worked tonight was terrible,They DONT speak or nothing they talked to each other !!Then an older lady who had never been there they didnt explain how things work with the add on so she had to reorder then they had an attitude and talked about her!!To top it off got home my sandwich was wrong😑

2022-02-16Food was decent but there was mayo all on the bag. cashier didnt even register us when we walked up to the counter. Weird cuz we were two of the three people in the store at the time. Guy making the sandwiches was the only one not wearing a mask. Of all the people, Id want him to wear one the most.

2022-05-08First off, when walking up to the counter I noticed that the lady at the cash register was digging in her mouth like she was trying to remove food from her teeth. She stared right at me and suddenly took her finger out of her mouth and proceeded to take my order. No, she did not stop to wash her hands or even so much as put gloves on. To make matters worse, she took that same, unwashed hand to hand my cups to me. A disgusting health violation. Didnt drink out of the cups! And the sandwiches? They were not what I ordered either (found out after leaving the store)! I will not be back to this location!

2021-09-08My online order was not right. My fault. I picked up a bag without my name on it. It was the only bag. I never ordered online before and didn’t think about looking for my name. The manager was super sweet and made it right. I had been at the hospital with my husband who has been suffering post Covid complications. I was physically upset. She was caring enough to follow me to my car and hug me. Such a sweet, caring lady. Thank you for caring. We need more people like you in this world.

2021-12-02Fully staffed but quite busy. Company would do better to expand.Workers seem a bit overwhelmed during the lunch rush.Employees are friendly and most importantly human. Under stress we all make mistakes and being overworked and underpaid doesnt help. The 3 stars isnt for the employees but the management and owners for not recognizing the stress of the workers by not expanding. They already appear to jave as many workers as possible during busy times but a small work place clearly is 1 reason for long wait times.

2021-12-03Our subs was horrible. The subs use to be good. Now they have staff that dont care about people food. I noticed that they dont like to change their gloves. Or even wash their hands.

2021-08-16I havent been to a Firehouse for a while now (used to go more frequently). This was an awkward visit to say the least. It started by waiting for the restroom for about 10-15 minutes. Someone inside yelled out who is it! when I initially tried opening the door. After the wait a Firehouse team member came out. No big deal but kinda odd to yell that out.When I finally got in the restroom, the soap dispenser was sitting on top of the toilet and the bathroom wasnt very clean. If youre going to hog the bathroom that long and you work there, you oughta make it clean on your way out. My food was ready in a decent amount of time, but it was poorly wrapped with paper stuck all over the meat and I had to pick out the paper from my food. It definitely didnt taste like the Firehouse subs I remember. I was grossed out by the whole thing. The chip selections were very limited and there were no napkins available. I get that supplies are limited due to all the craziness with Covid, but at least keep some napkins stocked. This is not a place I plan on visiting again.

2021-04-29Hook and Ladder and potato soup were fantastic. Workers were great and worked very fast. It was extremely busy at lunch. Took 30 minutes from arrival to departure for carry out. Ill do online order next time. They were doing the best they could. Everyone loves Firehouse!
