Firestone Complete Auto Care in other cities:
I went in around 11am and they wanted me to leave my car in overnight for a single tire change. They are polite sure but is leaving it overnight really necessary? On top of that, they said the best they could do was $120 for the tire + labor on my vehicle. I called a shop outside of post who gave me the same service at $82 and was looking way more busy then Firestone when I pulled up. I was in and out of that location within an hr or so.
I brought my car in for a full inspection, oil change, and an alignment. The reason was I notice a small oil leak underneath it between the engine and transmission. They told me what they thought was the problem and claimed they fixed it. After paying over $500 in service and repair cost. This morning, I notice the same type of oil pattern leakage underneath my truck. I called Firestone and brought the truck in. Now theyre telling me its a different issue and part needed to be replaced. Even though I paid for a full inspection and Im still having the same issue. Now, they are charging me over $700 to get it fix.
Frustrating, dropped car off way before lunch for a simple oil change, was told no problem they would get it by the end of the day. End of the day comes along and its a no go, wont be using these guys again, let alone the money I spent getting a ride to and from there.UPDATE: emailed them per public response, just like the oil change, they failed to perform - zero response to my email, Says a little something about the character of this establishment.
To whom it may concern,I brought my truck into Firestone for service on January 28th 2021. I was concerned about a sound I was hearing coming from drivers front side. I was told in July of 2020 that it was my struts. Returning back to why I brought my truck in on the 28 th. I picked up my truck in n the 29th of January, when I started my truck up it started making the same sound. I asked the lead mechanic to come out to my truck to hear the sound. The mechanic said the problem was my truck exhaust and that I had a leak. I paid 1200 dollars for a service that did not need to be completed on my truck at this time. I could have used that money to get the issue fixed. I mechanic then had the nerve to say at least my truck has new struts. This Firestone seems to be doing the same thing that the Firestone at Fort Lee was doing, miss diagnosing customers vehicles. This is the second time I have experienced an issue with Firestone on ft Gordon. I would like something done about this. I am going to keep writing and contacting anyone who will listen until someone fix this problem.Very respectfulMs. Shewana Ellis
Absolutely terrible service. Waited around since the start of my 8am appointment for my vehicle for ONLY an oil change and vehicle inspection. My car goes back at 1053 after calling at 943 wondering why my vehicle isn’t done yet. My vehicle didn’t get done until 12:49 and that was after I called again at 1227 and asked yet again why it had taken over 1.5 hours for my oil change. Having to wait almost 5 hours for my vehicle to get done is insane and no apology or anything from the staff for the mind boggling wait time
EDIT: The regional manager followed up about my issue and they investigated finding the original phone call where I was stated the cheaper quote. They sent me a refund for the difference within a week. Very happy with how they handled the situation in the end. I will make sure to double check and get a quote in writing to avoid this happening again!BEWARE! Shady store manager. I was quoted $400 over the phone. Came out to be over $700 even though no other parts or labor was needed. I am furious with the outcome and will never return here. If you’re a customer, make sure you get the quote in writing before hand or they will take advantage of you.
Work was done. Employees are nice enough. What I didnt like, hence the three stars, was the automatic write up for the most expensive service. I wanted an oil change and was produced a printout to sign that it would be $92. I wasnt asked which oil I wanted, just priced for full synthetic. In addition to that, I scheduled an appointment, which to me means when I get there at the appointed time, work begins soon after that time. That didnt happen. I had to call and get a ride because it was going to take over two hours to get the oil changed. Might want to consider doing away with appointment offers.
Poor customer service. Every time I come in to ask how long something basic like an oil change or to get your tires checked is going to take, the answer is several hours. Wrong answer. You should have a more precise answer than that so that people can make an informed decision or offer to schedule an appointment at least but you dont even get that from coming in person in the morning before work. If you call your put on hold for several minutes and get hung up on. The Gordon Car Care Center has way better customer service. No wonder more people go there than Firestone. Im was not asking themto fix something major wrong with my car. So, they could at least give you a sufficient answer for basic car care services. Im also not a retiree and I dont have all day to wait. No, I cant leave my car all day just for an oil change! I work full time and my time is valuable to me. Wont even try going to this place anymore.
Very clean office, Women up front was very friendly and told me about a coupon for $19.99 oil change which was very nice. However, had an appointment at 9:00 A.M. for an oil change and didnt leave with my car until 10:20 A.M. Have family that works for Firestone and a standard oil change should only take 30-45 minutes especially with appointment. Would recommend dropping car off and not waiting if you have somewhere to be.
Ive come back to this danger piece the times simply bc thru can put an oil drain plug in correctly. Needed a new battery and they tell me it works great. Went to another shop for them to replace it after they figured out it was bad. The firestone on post is the worst auto mechanic shop Ive ever been too. Theyre customer service is disrespectful. Ill never go back
I usually do drop off for my oil change, alignment, rotate and balance and always have excellent service. Yesterday I dropped my vehicle off for the same thing plus a ten point inspection. My car wasn’t even touched that day but they offered a free oil change and I would be one of the first drop offs the next day. I get it people get busy. Forward to today and as of 1pm it hasn’t been touched! I would have much rather they said sorry we can’t do it and I can go somewhere at lunch instead of waste my money in taxis on top of me having to drive out of town today!!! I am beyond frustrated it’s 4:35 and my Jeep is in the bay it’s looking like it was pulled into the bay. The people are always polite but they need to take less appointments or drop in’s if they know they will be short. Or at least tell me I can’t be helped and I could spare a lunch to get it done somewhere else. I’m not coming back after this.
Didnt have an appointment, but David said he would be able to get to it by the end of the day. So I Dropped it off and got a ride to work. Had my routine services done, you know oil change tire rotation and alignment and stuff. Got a phone call around lunch time saying it was ready if I needed it but they did have a few recommendations. Very friendly and informative about stuff. Am going to be using in the future.
This is a terrible business when it comes to car care. They are looking to overprice soldiers that are on Fort Gordon because they know that we will utilize their services. I can’t believe I was over charged and over quoted for parts and labor that was completely unreasonable. They are looking to get over on soldiers and it doesn’t help that management doesn’t do anything about it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE BATTLES!!!
Slow...slow. Dropped off early for a scheduled appointment, came back one hour after appointment time since I was off work only to watch it sit for an additional, solid 45 min in a bay before it was even lifted. Not even an off-hand “sorry for the wait” like most businesses do.
These guys are absolutely amazing. They know how to treat their customers with great customer service. On top of that, my car always feels amazing everytime it has work done. They always tell you an hour that your car will be done but it is always sooner than thatGot tires in Texas, drove to Georgia plus other places and still have good tred on all 4 tires!Very friendly and they will take good care of ya 👍Also, they have a coffee area and a place to sit while your car is being worked on.This is my go-to-place to fix up all my car problems :DP.S. if you give them your address, they will send you coupons to your email! Save tons of money!
There are currently at least 4 of us sitting here who had 8am appointments. Its now 9:57 and theyve only started on one, maybe two vehicles. We dont have an available tech yet.Even technicians have work schedules. How do you schedule multiple people for the same time slot when you dont have the personnel on duty to handle the work load?Maybe change your appointment scheduler on your website to a page that says We open at X oclock. Get here asap and hope youre not here all morning because appointments dont mean anything.
I was told yesterday that if I brought my suv in early to get a slow leaking tire fixed that they would do it and get me out. I showed up as the doors unlocked and they said nope leave your suv, and not getting anything done anytime soon. So, walked home in 75 degrees of humidity and at 1300 my husband came to drive me back because I have no way of getting back there 90+ weather that feels in 100+. He cant get me back here within working hours so now waiting with 2 girls. Would have given less than 1 star if I could, if Im told something it should be done.
Overcharged for cheap autozone parts. Had to address this with them, along with over charging on labor, and received $240 back. Customers need to be cognizant of organizations who dont care about the customer and only their coffers. They are also terrible at time mgt. Dont think my alignment is 100% fixed as well. Still need brakes and taking my truck to the dealer, not here.
If it was possible to leave 0 stars I would. Took my husbands truck in for a simple alignment that I paid $80 for. Had to leave the vehicle there all day because theyd get to it when they had time. Pick it up, notice the steering wheel is off center and it pulls right. Take it back a few days later and am told by Heather at the front desk and one of the technicians that theres no way an alignment will stay unless I replace the camber adjustment bolts. At that time I was told I wouldnt have to pay for another alignment, theyd replace the needed parts and do the alignment free. Then they let me know they could get the parts from Napa for $131.99 each, labor would be $106, and another alignment would be $145. I told them I wasnt paying for another alignment, especially not one almost twice as much as my first one so she removed that from my estimate. I then called Napa who told me they had the parts for only $61, meaning Firestone has about a 115% markup on parts. So when I questioned Heather why I was being charged so much she said We dont set the prices. Napa is charging us $120 and we have a 10% markup. So that is our price, if you dont like it you can take it somewhere else. I felt like I had to take it back, otherwise I wouldve had to pay someone else for an alignment, so thats what I did. After the second service was complete the tech told me the steering wheel is straight and it drives perfectly straight. Lies! Driving home I noticed the steering wheel was off centered the other way, and it was now pulling to the left. The next morning I called to let them know I would be bringing it back again. Heather told me it was no problem, theyd fix it and also give me a refund because I was not satisfied with my service. So when I took it in a few hours later I was given my refund, then told You can take it elsewhere. They messed up two times, gave me nothing but terrible customer service, lied to me about prices, and didnt even care enough to TRY to make it right. I plan on calling to talk to the manager to let him know about the extremely terrible customer service I received, but I will never take either of my vehicles back there.
Today is July 27, 2017. Just got my car back, these guys are too lazy to put an oil change sticker in my car window or even clean the new tires I bought. Please do not go here, there are better options off post. We only came here cause we had business on base, other than that, these guys often complain how busy they are & why the hell does it take 2-3 hours to put on 4 new tires. Ask them for a discount cause youre buying 7 new tires from them & theyll take 10% off of labor only...not even worth asking. I have contacted the CG to ask why are they on post. Boot them & bring in a company that will take care of the military community. I didnt even mention how they broke my sideview mirror on another visit...they laughed at the situation.
Recently had a negative experience with this autocar however the manager corrected the mistake and showed that he truly cares about the customer. Also I had to unfortunately use my tire road hazard coverage and they took care of everything, no questions asked! Awesome Job!!
The other day (January 31st, 2017) I had my vehicle towed to your Complete Auto Center at Fort Gordon, GA. (Store #773772). I received the worst advice from several of your technicians that I have ever been given and they falsely diagnosed my vehicle twice which costed me more money and time. When I had my vehicle towed to this store the obvious issue was that the alternator needed repaired, as the battery and E brake light came on and the car died on the side of the road. I called several people who I know who even insisted that it was indeed the alternator. However, the technicians insisted that it was simply just the battery after doing an Electrical Systems Test and that we needed to replace the battery and a terminal on top of the battery due to corrosion. Being the individual I am, I trusted their judgement and their advice, but little did I know that I was being deceived and told horrible advice. The next day I am came to pick up my vehicle (February 1st, 2017) and they said they did another Electrical Systems Test and that it came back clear. After only driving it for a maximum of 15 minutes the battery light and E brake light came back on. I took my vehicle back to the store and insisted that they retest my vehicle again to see why these lights came back on. A few minutes later the technician came back in after doing another Electrical Systems Check and said that for some reason it came back that the alternator was dead. They immediately started to defend themselves and said that they did everything correctly when administrating the test and that there was more than likely something wrong with the electrical systems. They told us they did not have the equipment to run a test of this matter at the store and that we needed to take it another place to have the electrical systems checked. I immediately felt like they were trying to push the blame off of themselves as to how they “somehow” misdiagnosed what was wrong with the vehicle. They were quick to say it was something electrical and that there was nothing else they could do for us. I took the vehicle the next day to a place that could do a more advanced test on my vehicle and they came back and said it was for sure the alternator and there was absolutely nothing else wrong with the car. Not only did your technicians misdiagnose what was wrong with my vehicle more than once, but they also cast the blame away from themselves as to why this was happening. In short, I ended up spending a lot of unnecessary money and time on something that should have been diagnosed correctly the first time. Because of the unprofessionalism that I received at this store I will not be using the services from this company anymore. The technician who incorrectly diagnosed my vehicle twice was Rick. I feel like I have been severely ripped off from you company and I will make sure to let everyone know who is looking for places to get their vehicle worked on should certainly not use this store or company.
Not quite the five star establishment yet. But what options do you really have on Fort Gordon. Customer service is okay not a wow but okay. Watch your bill as I was charged alot for something that was not even possible on my vehicle. The manager made it right but it never should have happened. BLUF they would not be my first or second choice. GL and hope it helps
I have a very obvious and very audible issue that took more than a day to look at to tell me that it can not be replicated. When I turn my wheel you can easily hear it, I am half deaf and it is loud to me, makes you wonder how hard they tried to replicate the issue. Losing faith in modern mechanics that claim to be mechanics.
Do not go here...I went to get tired rotated and they told me I needed new brakes that they were under 20%, and I didnt believe that so I took my car to the dealership and they said my brakes were fine and they had over 50% life left, they will try to sell you anything they can

2022-06-29Same experience as fellow reviewers. Got a screw in my tire, called in the morning and was told drop it off well try to get it in today. Super simple fix so I drop it off. No call all day so I check in and was told not gonna be done. Then next day call around lunch, was told it was the next vehicle and the tech is working on four vehicles at the same time. No call so I show up at 1600 they have my truck sitting in the bay noone touching it. Been sitting in the lobby for an hour just to get the tire off. 2 days for a 20 min job. They could have just said they wont be able to repair it that day and I would have gone somewhere else. Also charged me for a new valve stem and clearly didnt replace it. They are clearly short staffed or cant manage workload. Best bet is somewhere else if you want prompt service.

2022-02-07Purchased new tires for $700ish, tires work just fine, 2 days later, tire pressure sensors stopped working. No big deal, Ill bring it in so they can fix it. No can do, the batteries in 2 of the 4 sensors ran out just as they replaced my tires as they say, and ask $250 to replace. So I pay for your services, you likely break something then ask me more money to fix it.Please do not go here. There are many reviews posting about taking advantage of customers who dont know better. And even if you do know better, have fun trying to make them do the right thing.

2022-05-29They always seem super busy, understaffed, and unsure if they can fix your car today. At the same time getting a hard time slot is never offered. Just wait in line. We dont know if and when. I had my car sitting there for 2 days, with a leaky tire. No luck. Took it to Mitsubishi, fixed in 30 min.

2022-02-24This place is a scam. They overcharge for everything and bring up issues so that they can make money. I just took it for oil change. They lied saying my oil pan is bad and leaking oil. Took it to JL and they said nothing was wrong. Car still running fine after 2 years.

2022-01-04I love the customer service from this place. They contacted me and let me know the issue is not as bad as I thought and they didnt charge me. They always meet and greet with you in a pleasant manner. This place is still awesome. They find a way to get me in and checked. My Cars are always in good hands

2021-09-14Don’t go here. Requested a tire change. By the time it was supposed to be done, they called to say they didn’t have the tools to take my tires off (I did not have any locks on them). They then suggested that I drive around town to acquire the tools that they would need to complete the service. Took my money elsewhere.

2021-09-21Dont make an appointment online. It doesnt work. Unfortunately, they havent updated that information on their website ( which I highly recommend that they do, as multiple people have had to experience this before & they still have yet to make this know. Its unacceptable. )Despite that issue, its a clean location. Workers have always been kind and make mention of promotional deals. They work quickly and efficiently.

2021-12-02Wouldn’t recommend taking your vehicle here. They charge too much for something that should be a simple fix. Seem like they take advantage of people who don’t know better.

2021-09-02Made an appointment online just for them to tell me that they were backed up with repairs; The mechanic explained that I wouldnt be seen until a week later. If thats the case, disable the option of setting an appointment online.
