Such a nice place with great service. I would’ve never known that my feet were two different sizes lol. I went here because I wanted a comfortable walking shoe for my trip to Africa. They will tell you everything you need to know!
DUSTIN LIED in his response so this review is now a ONE.When we arrived we were greeted by JAKE who was helping another customer. The female employee and DUSTIN the male employee were also with other customers. We sat near Dustin who was talking with a customer for a couple minutes before he made it known he was an employee. He stated the selection was short due to production and he would help us when he was done.The seating was small, however there was a bench with products on it that could have been moved for one of us to sit. No one thought it was worth moving though even as I stood over it for about a minute as my kids sat on the floor.The kids feet were measured, but there weren’t any track shoes in stock for them.
I went there first after 2 separate doctors at uga health center recommended I do so! I was impressed by how much time they spend with you and how seriously they analyze!I thought the prices should be higher there but to my surprise they are on par with amazon and cheaper at times! So basically a pro puts u in shoes and it’s not even more expensive!People are so nice and helpful as well, we have enjoy going there over the past 3 years very much!Other than shoes their gear are awesome too!
Went to Fleet Feet in Athens for something specific my wife was looking for. I wound up finding something for me instead! The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The store was clean and it was easy to find items.
Staff was quick and helpful and store had a good selection. Part of what I needed was in stock, but had to order one of the items online. Arrived within 3 days! Will go back!
Great products and superb service. I use Mizuno Wave Inspire and if they arent available Fleet Feet orders them quickly and promptly. Plus, they install speed laces in them at the store. The Athens Fleet Feet is the only store I will shop for running shoes because of the service.

My daughter was going to Fleet Feet for a shoe fitting so I went with her. After watching how they measured her feet and explained what shies she would need I decided to give it a try too. Honestly I’ve never spent $130.00 for a pair of athletic shoes in my life, but when they give a 60 day money back guarantee what did I have to lose. The way I walk it was recommended that I try a pair of Hoka shoes. It’s been 4 days and I have to say they are the most comfortable athletic shoes I have ever worn. I will most definitely be keeping them!! My daughter bought some Brooks and equally loves her. We are 2 very satisfied customers and I will go back after I unfortunately wear these out!! Love them!!

My wife and I Walked in on a Saturday after many recommendations. First thing I loved was how inclusive the store was and how it seemed to be a focal point. From there, the young lady that helped us was extremely nice (sorry I didn’t catch her name but she had on the UGA Pegasus shoes). Although I could tell she was relatively new, she was super helpful and patient with us. It was our first time in and we didn’t feel rushed or like we were being annoying with all of our questions. She found us a great pair of running shoes that seemed to address the issues we were having and made sure to tell us about the 60 day return policy which is AMAZING. Excited to take our shoes on a spin this weekend and will definitely be back.
The Fleet Feet Athens employees helped me find my correct size and width, along with notifying me when the shipment arrived, and putting a pair on hold for me to pick up. They provide amazing customer service and make the overall experience so enjoyable. I prefer buying from local businesses regardless of the service however Fleet Feet makes it the most obvious choice to patron.
This is hands down the BEST Fleet Feet store in the country! I was in today and Dustin, the owner, assisted me in my fitting process for new shoes. They had a great, clean shop with a very knowledgeable crew and a fantastic selection! I went through a detailed fit analysis and afterwards he brought out two pairs of shoes. The first pair felt like butter and the second pair the same! Dustin hit the nail on the head and I chose the first pair. Can’t say enough great things about this shop and the service. Thanks Dustin! I can’t wait to take my shoes out for a spin!
Customer service was outstanding. I have already told 2-3 people about how great the service was on top of quality products. I also noticed what appears to be great teamwork with the employees. While one person was ringing up my purchases another employee (without being asked) was picking up and putting away the shoes that were pulled for me. I would highly recommend supporting a business with that level of service to both customers and coworkers.

Friendly, thorough service! Been an avid runner (10-15 miles a week) for the last two or so years. Went in for an update of running shoes. I learned things about my feet I did not know and walked out with wonderful shoes and insoles at a very reasonable price. ($130 shoes, $50 insoles) Cant wait to go back here!

I went in to get some new running shoes/cross trainer kind of things, and some inserts for my very high arches. I’m kind of new to the fancy shoes thing so I probably didn’t give them very useful information about what I was looking for, but the person helping me manage to find an amazing pair of shoes and inserts combo for me so fast! I’m very happy.

I had never been to a Fleet Feet before and other shoe stores I had been to had not impressed me. After trying to find something online and sending box after box back, I took the risk and gave it a shot. The guy who helped me was amazing--so helpful. He took a scan of my foot, thoroughly went over it with me and grabbed a few shoes to try on for me. He even helped me put them on! It was really great customer service and I left with a pair of shoes, some inserts and the best socks Ive ever felt on my foot. Would definitely go back.

Great experience! They gave me and my wife a free 3D scan of our feet and analyzed our walking patterns and the wear on our shoes. Putting all of this together, they then gave us shoes tailored specifically for us. Dustin was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Highly recommend for any runner, walker, or workout enthusiast.

This is hands down the best place in Athens to purchase running shoes. On top of being the go to premiere running store in Athens there is more to this place than running gear. The owner has gone through great lengths to cultivate and support the running community. He has an amazing staff that is knowledge. They offer group runs and training programs. They welcome all runners at all levels with wide open arms and offer running advice if ever asked. I am not sure if I would have enjoyed running as much as I have without Fleet Feet Athens.

The salesperson who helped me was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful; she spent a lot of time taking measurements, watching my gait, showing me various options, and explaining the different construction of the athletic shoes I was considering. I was a bit nervous coming into a running shoe store because I am far from an elite athlete, but everyone was super welcoming and friendly. I really appreciate that Anna Marian took the time to give me a proper fitting and help me find the perfect shoe for me. The scanning was really cool and taught me things about my feet that I never knew. I normally hate shopping for shoes because I often end up with something that I dont like once I get home, but this was a totally different experience. I love my Karhus; they are far and away the best shoes I have ever owned. You have earned a loyal customer.

I have noticed such a huge difference since I started wearing the shoes I was fitted for at Fleet Feet. The staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly and took the time to listen to my concerns & what I was looking for in a good pair of shoes. As someone who was wearing $10 shoes at my job where I work 8-9+ hours a day on my feet the entire time, its been life changing to have a pair of shoes that actually support my feet. I can take them off at the end of the day & my feet dont ache at all like they used to. My job is so much more enjoyable now that Im not coming home every day in pain from standing all day. It was well worth the money as an investment my future self will thank me for.

Best customer service! Wasnt sure what I was looking for and from the moment I walked in, Patio (Hoping I am spelling it correctly), scanned my feet and educated me on the correct fitting. Very friendly and helpful! They observe how you walk and use a feet mapping machine to see what features you may need in shoes to fit your feet best. I learned a lot about my feet (narrow heel, high arch, etc.). Being able to see EXACTLY what I needed in shoes and pull shoes from different brands is not something I ever wouldve been able to do on my own. Highly recommend!
Excellent customer service and a vibrant selection make this a lovely surprise in Five Points. For the longest time I thought this place wasnt really for me, as Im not a runner. Turns out they help all sorts of folks, from people who dont exercise much at all to more casual walkers like me. They can help find the right shoes for your feet (and back!) and have a good selection of items that athletes (from casual to serious) might enjoy. I love seeing the running groups meeting up in front of the shop--theyre always smiling and encouraging one another.I recently opened a business in Five Points, and the Fleet Feet folks came over to greet us, a homemade bouquet made from a Fleet Feet pint glass and rolled-up sock roses in hand. Theyre thoughtful folks indeed.

As a brand new runner I was not treated like one and wasnt pushed for the hard sale. Logan was fantastic. He listened to me and my concerns and provided multiple options for me to try. After running the first time with my new shoes, I could totally tell the difference from the off the shelf pair I had been using. I’m not a very talented or dedicated runner, but my experience at Fleet Feet was exceptional, and did not make me feel self-conscious about my running abilities. This was my first time getting running shoes that were the right ones for me so I was a bit nervous and unsure of what I wanted or needed. Erik took his time with me, offered me lots of options, and also gave me his professional opinion to help narrow choices down. He didn’t try to force any certain shoe on me but instead made sure we kept looking at options if any shoe that went on my foot didn’t feel right. He also reminded me that if the shoes didn’t work out, I could still come back to try again with the slotted time frame. I truly appreciated that I didn’t have to know every answer in the process and that I could take as long as I needed to make a decision.

Fleet Feet Athens is more than a store, its a community! I love the Monday night group runs, and have made so many new running friends. Their special running events and training programs are so much fun! They are always out at community functions, often volunteering their time and enthusiasm. They have a great selection of nutrition, clothes, socks, and shoes. The sales staff are always helpful and informative, never pushy. I wouldnt shop anywhere else for my running needs!

I am inexperienced in running just trying to get started. I stopped in Fleet Feet wanting to buy my first real pair of running shoes after experincing severe ankle pain from the shoes I was wearing, and they went above and beyond. They staff is highly knowledgable and got me into a new pair of shoes that gives me the support I need and even found a color I like. I came in on 2/14 and was helped by Christine. I have terribly flat feet which makes it difficult to find a good shoe. I cant remember the gentlemans name but I was in the store on Tuesday, June 19th during my lunch hour and he took his time and I think I tried on 8 pairs of shoes. The store was crowded and all the employees did not get in a hurry with the customers, they just kept saying, sorry for the wait, well be with you as soon as we can. I felt like they really cared about each customer in there. I will definitely come back for more shoes and will recommend the store to anyone who asks about a shoe store.

Fleet Feet is the best running store in Athens. I have consistently been fit with good shoes (I am prone to shin splints and since shopping here, they have not bothered me). Their community outreach via group runs are great fun, and their staff is wonderful!

I like that the FF employees know your name and seem genuinely interested in you as a runner. They are not just trying to sell shoes. They want you to have shoes that work best for you and your activities. I also like that they offer so many services to the running community in Athens. They are collecting shoes right now for Houston and it is an example of how they even reach outside of the local community.
I got a free gait analysis and a great pair of shoes to help me in returning to running after a heart attack. The staff at Fleet Feet Athens was welcoming and easy to talk to. I never felt pressured or intimidated. Highly recommended.
The person waiting on me, (Christina I believe), listened to what I was concerned about with the worn out running shoes which I brought in with me. She took me outside to evaluate the shoes, by having me run a short distance. She was knowledgeable and suggested different brands and models I could consider but she was NOT PUSHY. I bought the pair of shoes she suggested based on how they felt on me, how they felt when I tested them out and as a bonus, they were on sale:)

I like how intimate the store is and helpful the associates are. Often when you go to larger department stores for running gear there are people there who do want to help but dont know what theyre talking about. Super attentive and knowledgeable, good range of brands, and a really cool 3d model of your feet they can email you. Also, the goodr sunglasses by the checkout are literally the best if you want something light that stays on top of your head when you bend over a million times with toddlers!
Fleet Feet Athens is, in my opinion, the best store of any kind in the city. Its run by a knowledgeable and caring owner who, along with his staff, will bend over backwards to help you with your running/exercise needs. This is a local business run by people who are embedded in the community and who do a lot of good here. Spending your money at Fleet Feet Athens is a meaningful experience.

Knowledgeable sales team. Sales associates are never pushy and give the client 100% of their focus. They never seem impatient or distracted. They are attentive, good listeners, and offer a wide variety of product and non-product solutions to problems.
They showed me what my foot did while running, and what type of shoe I should get because of it, and a staff member was always available if I had a question or needed help.
I received very patient explanations regarding the meaning of terms that are used in finding shoe styles, allowed all the time needed to try on, retry and walk about in store. The running groups need to work on etiquette. Whens there are 50 of yall running down milledge, it would be nice to allow some sidewalk space for others. Run single file, or move even slightly. No need to run three abreast when there are other people running as well.

2021-11-27We went to Fleet Feet today for a proper fitting and pair of shoes for grandma. The entire family went home with new shoes. We were amazed at the service, attention to detail, and prices. Finally, we all have comfortable properly fitted shoes. I can’t imagine buying shoes anywhere else.

2022-07-15Great experience! Chandler was the sales person that helped me. She was a pleasure to work with. I drove 30 minutes to make an exchange of a shoe that was a half size to small. The bottom line is the service was great and she helped me quickly. She even turned me on to some running clubs near by. So thank you. Looking forward to go out to Fleet Feet Athens for another pair in the near future.

2022-06-04Amazing place! Before coming here I had only bought shoes at major retail stores and online. Never again. I will now rely on FleetFeet for all of my shoe needs. I walked in and was helped by the owner. He used their “Feet ID” technology to best equip me with shoes for my feet. He then helped me through the process of trying some on until we found what was right for me (only took 3 tries). I highly recommend!

2022-03-01The staff member who assisted me was fast, knowledgeable and friendly. He conducted the assessment to tell me about my foot size, width, and arch… making an educated decision from there on what shoe would be best. I also had an online return that was processed immediately with a confirmation email in my inbox before leaving. I walked out saying that was the quickest, most productive shopping experience EVER!

2022-03-21I went into Fleet Feet today to purchase some new running shoes; I am a beginner runner and have absolutely no knowledge on what shoes are best and what to look for but the store associates made me feel very comfortable and talked me through the whole process! The fitting was free and even though there were several customers in the shop, the process did not feel rushed. After taking the time to scan my foot structure and having me walk around the store in different shoes, I settled on the Brooks Ghost 14 and couldnt have been happier with my purchase. Highly recommend Fleet Feet for all your running needs.
