Food Lion in other cities:
This is our go-to grocery store. If youre looking for an upscale grocery with lots of options, this is not what you want. But if youre looking for low prices with decent overall quality, this Food Lion definitely hits the mark, especially if you use a Food Lion card (the Shop & Earn component saves us literally hundreds of dollars per year on groceries).
My car was broken in to right in front of the store. 3 phones my wifes purse. When we noticed the damage and missing items. My wife went inside to get the manager. We called the police. 35 minute with the officer and never seen the manager. The assistant manager said theirs no footage of the parking lot the cameras are for shoplifters. Not damage to vehicles
They have limited brands of items, but the items they do have are typically high quality, and there are some things you can find here that dont appear on any of the bigger name grocery store shelves! (Food Lions Hot Sauce game is respectable!) The store is clean, prices are fair, and its in a pretty great spot.
These type of grocery stores are convenient stores, most people dont realize, so their prices reflect that. Always much more expensive than Kroger or Publix. Aside from that this store always has trash throughout the parking lot. The shopping center itself is pretty rough with poor management/ownership. (Digital sign is almost always crashed, with a desktop image) I mostly go here to pickup milk which they are typically poorly stocked and have to ask for milk from the back. Staff can be hit or miss, sometimes theres a few friendly people but usually its less than helpful folks working.
Went shopping at Kroger Saturday and spent 150 dollars... Had I known Food Lion was having such a great sale this weekend I couldve really gotten so much more for my money$! In my opinion Kroger and Food Lion are the best 2 options in town for quality and price! But this weekend belongs to Food Lion for sure... Great weekend of sales!
We were on our way from camping in Tennessee on route to our next camping location and stopped in to pick up a few things. It was our luck to check out in Ms. Terrys line. She was so friendly and upbeat, she was that way to everyone who went thru her line. We left there wishing we lived close enough to shop there on a regular basis. She is definitely a great asset to your store.
This store has become a disappointment . I have shopped here since they 1st opened, but seldom now even though they are the closest to me.They no longer carry name brand deli meats, and theirs is inferior in taste and as or more expensive than many others.Have tried their pork chops in the meat department several times, i no longer purchase from them. No matter how long you cook them they are still pink inside and have an odd texture.2 types of hot wing sauce in stock, both terrible compared to brands they used to carry.Still stop in to grab something quickly, but when restocking my fridge and pantry I shop elsewhere because they have stopped carrying many of the items I like.
A bit farther for me than Kroger, but not near as busy. Prices not as good as Walmart, but I like to shop there when on that side of town, like when at a doc near/at the hospital. Then those two other stores just arent on the way home. I found the selection of foods at the store reasonable for the size and region, and the employees I met were helpful, and not at all racist as at Ingles. At least not as overt.
Love this store, always clean. And all ways well stocked. There is always someone availablewhen you have a question or cant find something.I love the BOGOs they are always having. Ive found some very hard to find items at this store too. They have a large variety of almost everything you could possibly need or want.Every holiday they always have items for food, decorating and celebrating the holidays.Lots of Christmas tree now. Lots of great deals too. I tried to capture great helpful pictures. So if you find them helpful and like my review please like it.Much thanksjenna
I had previously given this place a four-star rating and good review, but recent events have changed my mind. I will not return to this place again unless I am starving and have no other option. The staff and manager of this Food Lion treated a gay friend of mine in a despicable fashion, going so far as to kick him out and call the police on him, simply because of his sexual orientation. It took two months of contacting Food Lion corporate to get them to do anything, but finally they got rid of that manager (they may have simply transferred him), and said they conducted diversity training. My friend returned there, finally, but was still treated badly by staff.
As the only grocery store in a 5 mile radius of Gordon county and for being conveniently located right off Interstate 75, Food Lion is...well, just that- convenient. And if you live in the Ranger area, thank your lucky stars that when your pregnant wife wants pickles and ice cream you dont have to drive 20+ miles to Walmart to satisfy her prenatal cravings. But when compared to the what other markets provide their customers the place feels like Kmart before its demise. Small, limited, like a budget motel. Not that there is anything wrong with budget motels.Food Lion needs to rethink its product placement. Literally most of the food they sell is snack food- chips, crackers, and candy. Sodas are scattered across three different aisles. The crazy thing is their parking lot is built for something 150 cars. Its never more than 2/3 full. And the store itself just isnt big enough, even for the limited selection thwy offer.Food Lion is a glorified convenient store, minus the fuel pumps!
I have been shopping here for 7 years and they are always nice and friendly one time the cashier asked me if I found everything alright and I jokingly said no you are out of my favorite banana popsicles and that is when she got on her comes peace in her ear and contacted a stalker and told him to check in the back to see if any Food Lion Brand banana popsicles came in and the guy literally ran down the aisle with two boxes before the lady had finished checking me out they have great service and the meat department is friendly to if you want a special cut from The Butcher and thats what I like about this place besides it is close to my house I think that it costs less than Kroger or some of the other places around here and especially if you dont want to be in big crowds and you want to avoid Walmart then just go to Food Lion

2022-02-26My husband bought a birthday cake for me at this Food Lion last week. He didn’t order it it was just regular cake, yellow with buttercream frosting. It was the most delicious cake I’ve had in ages. It actually looked homemade and it tasted so good that we cannot stop eating it! I’ve always recommended Food Lions cakes to everyone. I Especially do now. The people in that store are very nice and always helpful.

2021-12-30I had to get water , ice cream , and some frozen dinners and english breakfast tea . I was in and out within 3 or 4 minutes. The employees are always very nice as I go there once or twice every week. Also, the new remodel really does look a lot better and has a much cleaner , more inviting aesthetic.

2022-02-07Nice, clean grocery store wit a very big selection on almost everything & a lot I dont even see at the other grocery stores..even wal- mart. Especially wal-mart. Friendly staff, fresh fruits & veggies, really nice cuts of meat. Prices arent outrageous, but having a very small budget some things are a lil pricy for me. But the meats & fruits & veggies are well worth it. Dairy & deli is always fresh & really good...not about to spoil by the next day. Thats a Plus. So 5⭐ to Food City. Its a pleasant experience for me everytime. I recommend them to anyone who isnt too Happy wit their present grocery store. Visit them once & ull probably Keep going back. I do.

2021-09-24I love this Food Lion (Red Bud Rd in Calhoun GA)! The store is always clean, even the ladies restroom, which is rare to find in a store! Right now they are remodeling so things are expected to be different. The produce, deli, and meat dept are wonderful! But the best part of the store is their employees! They are friendly, sweet, helpful, and make you feel like you matter. I have witnessed them take an older woman s groceries out to her car after letting her go out to pull her car to the curb during a thunderstorm. I had a cashier take money from her own pocket to help me when I was short $3.00! Who does that anymore? I will always shop only at my Food Lion! I never have to wait in line, always registers open with actual cashiers, but they have added 4 self checkouts for those preferring those.

2021-12-08Really limited selection of some products, and absolutely no cat food that I could find. Place was really slow that evening, but the employees didnt seem too awfully eager to help. I dont plan on returning to this particular store.
