The owner of Fox’s threw me off the public sidewalk tonight (outdoor seating.) I will admit that I am a Disabled US Army Veteran dealing with a Post-Traumatic Stress issue. I use Soldier’s Language a bit too much. Apparently, some random busybodies ratted me out for using too much bad language. My wife is mortified by my behavior. She puts up with a lot. I apologized. I apologized to the other couple also sitting outside with us. They had finished their meal. She heard the language and was not bothered. He was not paying attention. Telling the story to those good people helped me calm down.I have been going to this restaurant for over a decade. I supported them by getting take-out during the Covid times. I will never return to Fox’s.
Very good food! We stopped here while traveling. They were so kind and very helpful with everything we needed. The water tasted like sulfur but we found that to be true at various places on our first trip to the south. We had the calzone and cheesy rolls. They were both delicious! I think Id get a regular pizza next time but we really liked it.
I went on First Friday (a local festival of sorts) so it was super crowded. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table. I ordered the all white personal pan sized pizza. I really liked the little spicy kick it had to it and the crust was cooked just to my liking which is crispy but soft. I also ordered the house salad. The personal pan had about 6 slices, which was more than enough for me! The spring mix tasted pretty fresh, but they put cheese on the salad, and I am not a fan of cheese on salads so if youre anything like me just remember to tell them you dont want cheese on it. The servers were very attentive and the atmosphere is very cozy. I could have fell asleep in one of those booths!
Always a solid place to get a great lunch if your are near downtown Brunswick Georgia. I dont visit town very often but when I am in town I always look forward to stopping by Foxs. I have tried several things and always enjoyed everything I have ever ordered. The food comes out fast and hot. I will be back!
The pizza was really cold, but it tasted great and the staff were nice. I ordered carry out and the pizza was cold when I got it. I ordered a Big Daddy and its too big to fit in a oven in the house so we just had to microwave the pizza little by little. Other than that it was a decent pizza place.
The beer selection was admirable. Lasgna was good but the sauce was fabulous. Their meat balls were fare but might have held their flavor better if they didnt cut them in wedges. I just am not use to mom cutting my meatballs for me. Excellent service. You wont be disappointed if you order the large house salad. HUGE they let us split it and provided two plates. If it werent for the meat wedges I would have given a five star rating.
Only gave 4 stars cause of the wait. Food took a while to come but once it came it blew my tastebuds out of the water! Pizza was delicious! Definitely worth the wait! I even forgot to take a photo before cause I was so hungry. But the photo below just shows how we devoured the pizza. Flavors were so good! They must use very fresh and high quality ingredients! Just expect to wait when their is a festival in town. Will come again!
I am a truck driver, so I eat at a lot of places. This is hands down one of the best if not the best pizza joints I have ever eaten at. Tammy, our server, was awesome. All fresh ingredients, the truck delivering the fresh tomatoes as well other stuff, was there when we came in. My kids say the cheese was off the chain. Pretty fast for cook to order. My son wasnt fond of the lasagna but I thought it was great. Thanks Foxs for a great meal. The Bennetts
I had placed a call in and didnt receive a call for an hour I was under the assumption that after placing plenty of call in orders, I would get a call back. As I always did. But if they were busy, then so be it. No big deal. But the woman was rude to me not only on the phone. But in person as well. I wouldnt recommend their call in service to anyone
I loved their lasagna and their spaghetti! They were packed on an evening and i ordered a takeout order and they told me it would take 20 minutes, i counted 20 minutes exactly and they were on time ! Not even a second late!! Delicious food, delicious southwest shrimp pizza and veggie lasagna
My wife and I have been satisfied customers for years, but havent taken the time recently, to comment on our visits. You will not find a better pizza or salad anywhere in the Golden Isles. Period. The owner, hostess and waitresses knock themselves out to make your dining a satisfying experience. No disappointments here!
Ordered delivery from Island Time recommended by Fox Pizza at 5:05p. Pizza finally at 7:45p. App said he left the restaurant at 6:49p. It is a 17 minute drive. Driver pulled pizza out of the back seat. No protective cover or way to keep it hot. Pizza was cold. Driver also had a passenger. Last night I was sick all night. We’ll never order from them again.
A perfect local establishment to check out. The decor is classic rock to match the music playing. Friendly staff that treated you like you were a long lost friend added to the experience. You have to try the garlic knots! They were much larger than expected and had perfect flavoring. We introduced our mom to her first Hawaiian pizza and the sauce was perfect. We also had the white remastered with shrimp, also amazing.
Mediocre, at best. We are from out of town and were hopeful for good pizza based on the 4.6 out of 5 overall reviews....so, unbelievably disappointed. The frozen pizzas I buy at Costco are so much better then this. Servers are friendly but easily overwhelmed and the cashier was on her phone when I needed to ask a question. They also charge a 2% convenience fee to use a credit card, which is in poor taste.
Yay for Fox’s Pizza Den! The crust was unlike any I have tasted ever, and I’ve eaten a lot of pizza. Like ALOT. It was corn dusted (I think), chewy and crispy in all the right places. Just the right amount of toppings, plenty of yummy cheese, and not too much sauce. (I ❤️ Pizza, but I could really live forever without sauce.)Customer service was friendly, and from order to out the door only took about 15 minutes. Cool restaurant, with kind of a retro diner/pizza parlor vibe.It was 100% worth the 30 minute drive from Woodbine. In the 6 years I’ve lived in the area, this is by far the best pizza I have found. Will return, soon and often!
What a pleasant surprise to discover Foxs Pizza in southern GA. I thought they were primarily found in PA and WV (where I live). So, I had to stop and as expected their stromboli with toppings of your choice was spot on. They also had a very pleasant sit-down area with a nice view of the street and service was excellent. If you do get the stromboli, I recommend getting extra cheese as one of the toppings. The default amount of cheese IMHO is not sufficient for this delicious option.
Meat pizza was great! Garlic knots were also delicious.Appreciated the efforts on social distancing with servers wearing masks and alternating outside tables being blocked. Also saw the great lengths they went to for pick-up orders so the patrons didnt need to go inside. It was our first time eating out since this all got sideways - and we felt relatively safe.
One of my favorite places to eat in Downtown Brunswick. This place has that authentic pizza parlor feel. If youre looking to feed a whole family or a post-pandemic room full of hungry friends, Foxs Pizza is a place to do it! Get the Big Daddy - youll have leftovers for days!
The food was so delicious. We really enjoyed the garlic knots, the lasagna, and the baked spaghetti. Service was great as well. I was kept talking about how that Italian food hit the spot long after we left. Thinking about it makes my mouth water. Seriously excellent Italian food. I cant speak for the pizza since we didnt have any, but we will be back to try it!
The wings with cheese fries are great. The small pizza is big for a small....tastes great. The prices are fair for great made food. The crust of the pizzas was just perfect. I do believe my Italian mother in law couldnt have done any better. Perfect. 5 stars from my boys ages 8,6,6 yrs old.
Always good. We had take out tonight - lasagna and a small meat pizza. DELICIOUS!Their team is always super friendly and efficient. Tonight I had a beer while waiting for the take out order and the guys in the kitchen were cutting up and having fun while they made awesome food. Once again the health cert had a 100 score (perfect). This is a very well run business.
I had Cajun Chicken Alfredo. The food was amazing, and I was served a huge portion. I brought a little over half of it home. Service was good with the exception of being forgotten at the beginning of my visit. It took a bit to place my order but after that, my server was spot on.If youve ever been to New Orleans and had Cajun Alfredo, you too would be impressed.I could almost feel the atmosphere of the French Quarter. Yes...it was that good. The only reason they did not receive 5 stars from this visit was the unfortunate delay in taking my order. I will be returning however and highly recommend this establishment to locals and visitors.
The food was excellent, and the service was better. 4 star food at 2 star prices, you cant beat it.We had garlic knots, and while I would hesitate to call them knots they were absolutely delicious. Dripping in garlic butter and seasoning, they were a taste explosion in my mouth. For the main course we had a large meat supreme. They didnt skimp on toppings. They all tasted fresh and rich. Good sauce, acceptable cheese.
This place came highly recommend by the yacht club we were visiting in Brunswick. Hard to say pizza was unique, but it was. Our server was a young man from Maine and was excellent. They offer a discount for people from the club or people visiting. It was so good we didnt ask the discount.
This restaurant is very clean. The restaurant atmosphere is like the 50s and 60s style music. They have all kinds of albums posted on the walls. They even have a booth you sit in to eat your meal that is the back of a 1957 Chevy. Kinda cool to me. Speaking of good food we order the Baked Spaghetti and it comes with garlic toast always good. The waitresses always come back several times and ask how is the food and do we need anything else. Very good restaurant all around.
We came in on a busy Saturday afternoon, and had a great experience. Our server was attentive, our food was out quickly. I was surprised at how well the staff managed the influx of customers coming from an event downtown. The veggie lasagna was delicious. Well definitely be making a return trip!!
Menu pricing is moderate. We ordered the Greek Gyro and Greek salad. Both items were freshly made and served in large portions. Our server took food and drink orders shortly after arrival and ensured drinks were filled throughout the meal. Pizza is a great menu option and can be ordered with multiple toppings.
We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant for dinner and Foxs Pizza Den fit the bill. They were very dog friendly at the outdoor seating. Great service! The marinara is awesome....best I have had in a long time. Would definitely return. The music mix was great too, really made the evening enjoyable!
Awesome pizza crust and their fries are great. A key thing for their fries is that they are baked instead of deep fried, but they still have great flavor. While they could be crunchier they really hit the spot. Only real discontent is the hot sauce for their wings wasnt anywhere near hot.
Love this place! We come every time were in Brunswick! But, truly, last night pizza was so salty it was in edible. More than one person made this comment. I am only posting this so management learns about it and removes the salt from the kitchen. I will be glad to re-edit this comment
10 mins just to get someone to seat us, 20 mins sitting outside with menus face down waiting. No one ever even tried to wait on us. Walked in and tossed the menu back and left. Won’t be back. Horrible experience, I understand staffing issues, but at least acknowledge your customers.
We went last night for dinner and I thought I was seeing things when I walked in and saw who I thought was..Hollywood Actress Toni Collette! Pardon the name spelling. Yes, our server looked just like her! Anyways, we had seen the reviews and photos of this little place and finally decided to go in for supper. It was really busy but we didnt have to wait long to be seated. We ordered teas, a build your own pizza, a house pizza, and a cheese steak hoagie. We got all smaller pizzas and hoagies which was nice for two people...but it was big enough of a portion for four! The cheese steak was really good and only needed a little mustard to set it off. Then all the pizzas were perfectly crispy crusted with stringy cheese and plenty of toppings. The extra stuff like pepper and parm are on the table. It was pretty good and I like the fact that they have a wing snack, lunch or dinner bowl if you want a healthy lighter meal...and allowed us to get some sub salami added on our pizza. They have a decent beer and wine menu and bar top seating if you are dining solo. Overall, the place gets me to rate 5 stars! Try it! Dont think youll be sorry!
If youre looking for great pizza at an amazing price, look no further. The crust was crisp with a delightful texture, the sauce and toppings were top notch. The menu had many items other than pizza, and I regret we werent able to try any. The Margheritta pasta looked delicious. We got a 12×24 2 topping pizza and were able to feed myself, my wife, and 4 of the 5 kids, all for less (before tip) that wed spent at burger king for breakfast. To top it all off, the staff was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, service was personable, attentive, and swift, and everyone seemed to take great pride in their establishment. The decor was retro meets rustic, with old 60s and 70s album covers adorning the wall, and a booth seat made out of an old car bumper. If we lived in the area I guarantee we would have been fast regulars.
I ordered the chicken feta wrap with no onions. First of all, I greatly appreciate it when you ask for them to change something about the menu item, and they actually do it. Foxs is very good about this! Secondly, it was delicious! Service was great (as always), food came in a timely manner, and kept our drinks filled (another thing that is hard to come by in a lot of restaurants). My mom got the cheese thin and crispy pizza, and it was also delicious. You really cant go wrong by choosing Foxs.
The best pizza around, but I havent been impressed with their other menu items. The fried in particular are not good at all. They bake them instead of frying them, which is fine, but theres got to be a better way. Ours were a little soggy and it only got worse as they cooled. They have other sided that are all pretty good. Id recommend anything else over the fries.I personally stick to the pizza. Its what they advertise most prominently, and they do it better than just about anyone else in the county.
At first, I was a little skeptical about visiting here because of a chain back home by the same name. But my boyfriend said its his absolute favorite, so I had to try it. And I was blown away. I got a gluten-free pizza (which is always a gamble) with pepperoni and mushrooms and I ate the whole thing. (I tried to contain myself, but it was too good!) My boyfriend was even impressed with how good it was, considering he doesnt follow a gluten-free diet. I cant wait to go back!
I go here for one thing, the chicken wings. I had been here over 10 times and each time I always would get wings as an appetizer and find something random to order as my meal. I have since stopped doing that and have given into my desires and order a basket of wings just for myself every time. All the other dishes Ive had have ranged from okay to quite good but nothing beats their chicken wings. Super juicy and melt in your mouth. Dont go with medium or mild. They arent terribly spicy to begin with so just get them hot.
We stopped here trying to avoid fast food. Brunswick is an interesting town and wonderful for a stroll. The food at Foxs was great. We actually did not get pizza, though that looked good. There was a large selection of different types of food. I had a large salad with wonderful homemade dressing. I would highly recommend making a stop, seeing the city and having a nice meal. We sat at the outdoor tables and it was perfect.
Update to previous review: Dropping from 5 down to 3 stars. Normally love this place but usually pick up a few times a month. Ate in today and the guy at the register tells me he didnt charge me enough for my spaghettis and adds $1.50 to my bill. That was enough for me to not go back. Not the only pizza joint in town.
1st time there but it will not be my last. I drive down to Brunswick once or twice a month, wish I had known of Foxs before. The service was wonderful, the people were great and the calzone was perfect. Get the deluxe if you like those toppings. Ive heard their pasta plates are excellent as well but itll be hard for me not to get the calzone again. Lunch was perfect, looking forward to returning. Do yourself a favor and try Foxs, youll be glad you did.
Great food, good price, wonderful service! Tropics Salad with gorgonzola cheese was unique and delicious. Pizza was amazing, gluten free crust tasted just like a regular crust (but you could visually tell on the bottom that it was different from the regular crust). Ladies room was clean and welll stocked. Overall a fantastic experience, worthy of 5 stars from these Dallas Texans!
Went here for the 4th of July event and fireworks after, amazing food! Even tho it was pretty hot inside (a/c issues?) it was still worth every penny. Even tho you could tell the servers were pretty dehydrated from being so busy and not drinking water, they were still polite, timely and professional even tho you could see they were feeling the heat. I give it 5 stars because the quality of the food and timeliness of service was so good it made up for the heat and for the crowd.
The day I started eating at foxes was one of the best days of my life! Every time I go I come out feeling satisfied and full. The staff is great and they make amazing recommendations. Just make sure to have them on your list if restaurants when you come to visit. You wont regret it.
We really enjoyed our meal at this little restaurant in Brunswick, GA, near the Georgia Sea Islands called the Golden Isles. This is much more than a pizza place. It is set up like a 1950s malt shop with red tables and a booth that looks like a 57 Chevy. The food is unexpectedly varied, with healthier options available. The workers are pleasant and cheerful.
This is the best pizza in this area where I live every time I visit Brunswick I have to go go to Fox pizzas. I wish they had one in St Marys where I live. When I recommend there pizza that everyone I tell anyone its going to Brunswick to go there and have lunch. Keep up the great work guys I love you.
We love the big daddy pizza, because more is more. Weve eaten here a couple times and gotten takeout a few more. Its not the cheapest, but good grief the pizza is GOOD. We especially like that theyll let you do half and half on the big daddy pizza so you can try two different specialty pizzas in one. Never been disappointed. They close very early - only downside.
I typically order pizza which they do a good job with. The crust, sauce and toppings are all very good.I did order the cajun chicken pasta on this visit and thats probably a dish I wouldnt order again. The portion of chicken was disappointing, seemed like 2 or 3 ounces at best. There was 2 1/2 medallions cut and on the pasta. The next issue was being over sauced. This could probably be a good dish, but they definitely need to tweak it.I will stay with the pizza in the future.
If ever in downtown, I stop in for a Great slice of pie served by the most friendly staff! I have never been disappointed. I always enjoy my meal and so satisfied that I stopped in. A cool location with a warm and friendly staff. Most importantly, the food is always so good!!
One cheese slice was $4.89. Which I found to be unreasonable when the taste is average. The customer service was bland, (like the slice) as if I wasnt there, not offered any specials and once my slice was packed to go it sat there till I asked for it. The waiters looked annoyed and so did the cook and the ladie who took my order.Thank God Im from NYC and know what real slices look and taste like, and prices go accordingly with quality.
Driving through from Jekyll Island to Richmond Hill we decided to grab a couple pizzas to go from Foxs. I really dont understand the reviews because this place is terrible.Ive gotten better pizza from Tombstone. The dough was that of a cooked spaghetti noodle even though we ordered the extra thin and extra crispy. Plus, I swear the mushrooms come out of a can! Not even joking :-(
The pizza here is soooooooooooo gooy and great and amazing. Its so goopy you have to eat it with a fork its fantastic. Their cheesy garlic bread is to die for and their backed spaghetti is wonderful. The atmosphere is nice and the service is always great. I just adore this restaurant.
I have been three times now and every time was absolutely amazing. The food is great, comes out quick and the staff is usually pretty friendly. Ive ordered from their specially menu every time and havent been disappointed yet. Pictured is the ultimate Mac and cheese 👌
I apologize for everyone on this review site that hails this pizza as best in the world and I would drive 30 miles for this pizza, the pizza here is not even as good as Pizza Hut.....what kind of cheese was that??????? The sauce was generic at best and the toppings were definitely not top grade for the price. Their menu looks good and hopefully other things on the menu are better but pizza should definitely NOT be your first choice here
I dont know what that Peter dude was talking about but being from Ny and then living in Jersey most of my life (50+years) I can honestly say that the pizza is very good and the sauce they use is why, the ambiance is terrific and I would recommend this place to anyone

2022-02-17They don’t take reservations. They have indoor and outside seating. It is a small town favorite and I would agree with the locals. I got the cheeseburger and up charged for fries instead of chips. (They are stingy with the fries) But the burger was really good. The rest of the table got baked spaghetti and they all agreed it was delicious. Enough to split between two people or take some home for another meal of your own. Upon paying the bill I ordered an apple cinnamon dessert pizza to go. I was told it would be 10 minutes. 20 minutes later we are leaving and I inquire about the dessert, they forgot. They quickly put it together while we waited outside, I had to go back in and ask for it again! At least they were nice folks…so I bit my tongue.

2022-06-08Ive had Stromboli at several Fox Pizza Den locations and Ive never gotten it where it raw in the center. It was really due to the amount of sauce that was in the Stromboli and strombol is not supposed to have sauce inside the dough. Sauce is on the side. Wont be going back. The only reason Im giving it two Stars its because of the guy that took my order was so nice but they need a new cook or at least need to teach him exactly how to cook stromboli. I only ate one piece realize how come it was spent the rest of it out and then tore it open to see what it was that I was eating. You can see from the pictures that do was raw.

2022-03-29The staff was awesome and very accommodating. However we got back to the office to find they left the sticker on the cucumber! Was it even washed? Despite that it was good but lost a star for the sticker.

2021-03-31Decided to try a new pizza place. I was really impressed. Love the style of the restaurant. We all loved the taste of our food although I think the pizza couldve been cooked longer. Customer service was great. There is a good chance of returning. If a picky eater like myself loves it, we will eventually be back. The do not have a kids menu which was a downfall.

2022-04-14You just have to try this place for yourself. Best pizza I have eaten by far. The prices are decent for the amount of food you get. I had a small calzone and I could only finish half. The other half I took home to enjoy for the next day. So amazing and loved the retro vibe from the restaurant. The owner must be a Chicago fan had album covers decorated all over.

2022-07-06We stopped in on 4th of July. We only waited about 5 minutes for a table. The staff is super friendly. They have a great beer selection. The thin crust pizza was really good. My pizza came out wrong, but they fixed it quickly and everything was good. Things happen and I think the way it was handled shows the professionalism and skill of Foxs. Definitely recommend trying them out.

2021-05-29I have personally never heard of this pizza place but I for sure wont forget the name. 🤗 Why is that? The atmosphere is very unique for starters. This particular place is at the beginning of a strip mall with many different shops around in the heart of an older city with narrow streets.I really liked the outside seating it was quaint , quiet and a great place to have a meal. Then I opened the front door to see a long counter from a 1950s ice cream shop with pictures of musicians in the early days like 60s to the 80s. It was fun to go around and see all the different artist in the early days. Then I turn to the left to see an eye stopper of the restaurant at the end left corner. I see what appears to be a old car cut into a seat with red appolstry. Im not a car expert but it looked like a 1950s car back that might be a Buick but dont quote me on that. 😂 its been a minute I was there.I was quickly seated along with a friend in the back by a friendly staff. After going over the menu I asked the waitress about being gluten intolerant and options. She looked at me and says I am gluten intolerant too and we got you covered. I was shocked 😲 but happy to find a restaurant that gets me and caters to people like me while on vacation. They have a great gluten free crust that I personally went with the BBQ chicken that was absolutely delicious 😋. I really enjoyed it but make sure you have knapkins handy cause its a mess and really good. My friend got a regular pizza with fresh vegetables and meat. She said it was very tasty and delicious too. After taking in the atmosphere, food, the staff I can honesty recommend this restaurant if you are in the area or just passing through like me. Its is well worth it and not far from St. Simons Beach or Jekyll Island.Following as I continue crossing this great nation doing one review at a time.Peace out be safe

2022-02-23First you need to know, im not a big fan pizza or anything with red sauce, however this restaurant is a game changer for me. I will in fact drive 15 miles out of my way, just for there pizza. Of course the baked spaghetti is a new favorite. And yes, they both have a red sauce that agrees with me.Hungry? Its worth the wait, if there busy.Enjoy.
