For airport food, it was actually pretty good. Cucumber salad was running a bit low so I got some of the juice that is on the bottom, made everything else a little soggy. A perforated raised screen at the bottom of the container should fix that issue. Steak was tasty and quality and quantity was great. Very filling and quick, while being healthy minded at the airport is exactly what I wanted.
Great for vegetarians. Great spot to grab something healthy at the airport. All of the ingredients are fresh and your meal is made as you order it.When I want to skip the meat I head over to this place. I snatch up the laffa and add mushrooms - amazing - instead of meat. They also have homemade potato chips. They are a little greasy but still amazing.
Food was alright, I dont normally review based on service but the experience was pretty terrible. Staff were not only unhelpful but gave us much smaller portions after we asked questions. Only a quarter of the protein options were actually available and the meats werent properly handled. After paying for a pita my friend had to remind the servers multiple times to give her one because they did not want to unfreeze it.
This was my first visit and I was very disappointed. It was messy. At 12 pm I had the salad with mushrooms and a side of falafel. It wasnt too busy but it looked like it was before I got there. The food was contaminated with bits of other food items. Falafel looked and tasted dry. They didnt have all the sauces out. The mushrooms were good. The young lady fixing it was friendly but the cashier who appeared as management was cashier and stocking at the same time she wasnt as friendly. The food was ok but I prayed that my stomach didnt bother me after I ate it. That is not a good feeling when choosing to dine at a restaurant.Got to do better.
This rating is for service (not staffed, manager elsewhere) and portion size only. The food is good and good quality; I like to eat here. On several occasions long line and not enough staff, frequently just one person serving and working cashier. Today, line was 6-8+ deep and they had one person cooking, one person working the line. At times only one person up front. 20 minute wait, no sense of urgency, saw at least two workers in back washing dishes. Pretty obvious they needed more help. Several people left line or asked about the wait. Out they were out of at least two items, low on others. Asked for manager, was told she was next door at Einstein’s (four people working that line)...workers had asked for help, but got none. Let manager know who came over to help a very long line. Workers obviously frustrated.
Food was okay, server kept confusing orders and manager was in the background telling employees to cut back on the meat. I dont know how much more you could cut back! Only had expensive Fiji water, though the menu says Nestle. Went to The Market who had Nestle water 2.99. Decent flavored pita. BTW The Market always has good food. Specially breakfast
I used to go here a lot. It was great food and large portions. I loved the flavor and the healthy options. The management has kept changing the plate size used for salads and bowls in an effort to make more profits. It’s now a small plate used for “bowls” and salads that if the worker loads it up, everything would spill off. Quality has also gone down. At noon on June 30th the workers were rude and they were out of olives and onions 1/2 way through the day.
Discovered this food spot years ago and it’s always my first go-to for a healthy delicious lunch or dinner. Most unique fast food offerings in the entire airport - I honestly feel better walking past the fried foods and pizzas to enjoy this amazing Lebanese-Mediterranean cuisine.Have mint gum or breath mints ready. It’s a blissful romp through all things garlic and onion....love it!
Shouldve read the reviews- when I was ordering the man had an ungloved hand down the back of his pants, which he then used to roll my pita without gloving. The gyro meat looked like it had been sitting in the cold for a long time, and the other man took it off to heat up quickly on the stove.I paid, looked up the reviews, saw all the food poisoning, and then threw it directly away.Usually the one-star reviews at airports are because of slow service. This is because of food safety danger.
$21.75 for a plate of chopped chicken (decent flavor), yellow rice (very good), and little brown sodium bombs called olives (inedible). And a Diet Pepsi. All served by surly workers. What a deal!! I chose it because it was the healthiest choice in the terminal D food court. Wish I hadn’t.
I had a pretty good wrap with hummus, romaine, cucumber-tomato salad, veggies and falafel. The veggies, romaine and salad were very fresh (no ragged wilting lettuce) and it was a fair bit of food for the price. The hummus is a little thinner than im used to but it appears to be used mostly as a spread. The menu board is not very clear for those not accustomed to Mediterranean food. And it’s a bit hard to asked questions and get guidance (as evidenced from the patron in front of me). It would be great if there was a better description of the offerings for those not familiar. But I felt like it had good options for those looking for a break from the traditional burger, fried food options available.
Food was good but the customer service lacked anything desirable. I was pushed into choosing a certain entree because it was easier and this was done to several other customers. I ordered and paid for a pita on the side and had to ask 3 times to receive then wait it was heated up while the rest of my group (including people that ordered after me) sat down and enjoyed their meals. Overall a bad experience
I was looking for something healthy and ended up here. Not really a friendly environment. If you ask for a salad they limit you on what you can get - why? Anyways, I got the chicken and about 3-4 hours later got gastric distress on the plane. Hadnt eaten anything else. Its possible that the drinks I got at the bar were contaminated somehow but that seems dubious at best. The chicken was probably bad.
I gave them 5 stars, considering the options. I have ate there several times and always seek it out. The bad; they have a soda fountain that NEVER works, but they have individual drinks. The service is never that good. However, the food is economic (for an airport) and relatively healthy (for an airport). It also tastes good. Considering all the fried food in ATL at twice the price, yep, Ill give Garbanzos a 5!
Should have read the reviews first. The awful service and experience seemed more to do with laziness vs being busy enough. They werent super busy and they were out of everything. Bad attitudes with everyone behind the counter and some not even working and just standing and chatting. They easily could have been working on making sure you werent out of standard items on the menu. The tabouleh was all cracked wheat and no parsley, not seasoned and dry. Hardly got any food... little did I know youre supposed to tell them just to add everything to the plate (they didnt have any pita to make a pocket).Workers didnt care...very obvious the owner wasnt around. Dont go even if the line is empty...please dont make the same mistake I did and hopefully theyll go out of business and another place can replace them.
Loved the variety. Had the chicken bowl and the rice, garlic sauce, babaganoush and mixture of fresh vegetables with falafel was delicious. Wish they opened up in Kennesaw. Theres a lack of Mediterranean options there. The manager was really nice too. Even tho it was a few minutes after 9, he made us a chicken bowl.
Ive never been so sad eating a gyro. If youre looking for a new experience then for that alone you wont be disappointed. I wouldve taken a picture but I didnt think it was worth it. I wont yuck your yum so maybe youll enjoy it more than I did. Best of luck with your eating endeavor.
Ive been eating at this place for the last 2 or 3 years since Im a frequent traveler. Its been a couple of months since the last time. Today I was surprised to find they have raised prices and the food was not as tasty as it used to. Tzatziki sauce and cabbage were very bland.
The wrap was good but there were no pitas or gyros as advertised. The customer service was horrendous. Jasmine Perry was very rude to us and other customers and not helpful at all. She was muttering things under her breath about customers. Her coworker wasnt rude exactly but wasnt overly nice either and did nothing to speed the process along. This was the am shift of 6/17/17.
As an airline employee (pilot) I eat there frequently. The food is good, when its available, but as always they are out of something every single time. Tonight its three of the garnishes, and Portobello mushrooms . I am trying to eat healthy and avoid eating at other airports- I hold out until I transit Hartsfield. Some of the employees care while others could care less, and their attitude reflects the same.Get it together...
Absolutely delicious, very fresh food. Staff was super pleasant and answered and explained all customer questions. I recommend the laffa(like a Mediterranean buritto), with hummus and tabbouleh and lettuce, Gryo meat(lamb and beef), seasoned rice and Taziki sauce and feta cheese, super easy to take with you and go, tastes delicious and very fresh.
Airport food used to be expected to be not that great. Unfortunately, thats not really the case anyone. I feel like if I had eaten here ten years ago it would have been head and shoulders above normal airport fare, but its 2018, the food was blah and the service was just not there.
Keep on moving past this establishment. Food was vastly underwhelming, and the employees seem as though they regard life as a snowman would the Sahara. Once you, the customer, have the audacity to make them work, you will receive a mumbling, unintelligible series of noises from the employee. Once you say, Im sorry. Can you repeat that?, youll get an eye roll and a slightly louder series of mumbles. Once you resign yourself to just point at the unlabeled, hard-to-decipher items you want on your gyro or salad, youll find yourself displeased with the experience. Then they hit you with the overpriced bill. After you leave, you realize why the line was short there. They have as much of a chance of a repeat customer as does a giraffe pooping fireflies. Customers from all political leanings and parts of the country will leave wanting to drive minimum wages lower after receiving that service. Oh, and my gyro tasted like cardboard wrapped around salted, soggy styrofoam.
I was very disappointed with the service I received at this place. There was nothing outstanding about their service. After a 12 hour flight i stopped by garbanzo Mediterranean to get a gyro. A young man who claimed his name was Exavier replied that they didnt have more bread to make a gyroand then he started laughing and said that he just didnt want to prepare the gyro and he started laughing. I felt disrespected with the poor service that I have received at this place. Never again! .management please address this issue.
Your price increases are insane. Over $19 for a plate and the cheapest water. This is the most expensive take out restaurant in ATL. The plate used to be $12 something which was overpriced but is now over $15.The cheapest water in $2.99. I get a cheaper meal at a 4 star hotel restaurant. Shame on you. Most ATL takeouts are between $9-$11.I’m done with this restaurant.
I would give them zero stars if I could. Half of the items on the menu were not available. Very dirty workers not following sanitary rules. Scratching themselves with food handling gloves on, throwing trash that landed in the food bin. I would not have believed it if I did not witness it myself.
I was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was at garbanzo at the airport. People were extremely friendly and the food was fresh. Also got a lot for what I paid for. Highly recommend. Could you please open up some restaurants around Atlanta, you will give Zoeys a run for their money!
One of the few ATL airport restaurants with fresh, healthy food-- any time I need to eat a meal when traveling through Hartsfield-Jackson, I try to eat here. The bowl with falafel as the protein is super filling. Lots of veg and gluten-free options, and the line/ordering process is quick.
I always swing by this place when Im coming through the Atlanta airport. My favorite is the falafel wrap with rice, cheese, and hummus. The wrap is huge and you will basically be stuffed for the rest of the day. The only downside is the service, usually there are only three people working which results in long lines and exhausted employees.

2022-05-11Not the greatest experience. Out of almost everything. Chips were stale. Chicken did not look fresh. Asked for gluten free pita and the lady said they never have those in stock it’s just listed on the menu for some reason. Food quality was not good compared to other garbanzo locations i typically go to.in addition, i was overcharged from what the price listed on the menu was.

2022-03-17It use to be one of my favorite restaurants in the airport. But you never know when its gonna be open and the prices have gone up but the quality of the food has not. Also they are always out of some products.

2019-04-20I travel a lot. When I pass through Atlanta airport, I almost always eat here. There have been a few times later in the day when there is a limited choice. I usually get the salad. I have always been pleased with it. Though the service has never really been good.I have to update. I have really become disappointed with this place. It seems they are always out of key ingredients almost any time I stop. So, I wont be doing any more.

2018-02-25The Chipotle of Greek food. Everything is delicious b but the rice is not cooked enough. Pretty decent for airport food though, plus the customer service was great. The pita bread could use some help but again, its at the airport.

2020-01-21The food is ok. Not the best Mediterranean Ive had by far, but its decent. Vegetarian and vegan options, and gluten free, too. I see a lot of airline crew folks eating here, and this is where I eat when flying through Atl. I get the salad or plate... see photo for protein options. A salad with grilled chicken and a side of hummus was $16. You can ask for all their veggies to be added on. I got everything. It was about a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. Its hard to find decent food at the ATL sitport. This place is okay.

2022-04-24Update:I decided to give it another try post covid. The prices have doubled and the portions have halfed. They were out of: baba ganoush, cabbage, mushrooms, falafel, and pita. The reason, its the weekend. And it was 3pm. I cant believe this place stays in business. They should get some guidance from the Garbanzo in the Salt Lake Airport.Ive been to this location multiple times because I like the food. But the service is consistently terrible. They are often out of multiple food items (especially the closer it gets to closing). The employees show no motivation or desire to provide an enjoyable experience. I was in line with someone else who actually commented on the predictably poor service and borderline rude employees. Garbanzos should be the Mediterranean Moes. But its just really a disappointment. Go early in the day for vegetarian options...but dont expect to be treated with dignity and respect.

2019-06-18Even if you dont know half of the stuff they serve, it still tastes good, and if the Mediterranean party holds true, it should be healthier for you.

2019-05-30Late night right after closing at the airport, and they still had some good stuff left to make a chicken bowl with. Manager told me Id be the last customer. Actually, they didnt have to serve me but they did.. The manager was fun and friendly, as were the two employees working with her. I said everything left looked good and for them to just make me a surprise plate.. Just really good people, and it was a good meal...they piled it on. Will help me get through the late late evening for a delayed flight at 1:00 a m. Ill be back
