Try going there for just an oil change and they will recommend you everything else just to make extra money. My wife had exact same experience, each oil change ended up costing her $80-$90. We quit going there tho it was so convenient for us but their greed and bad management sadly doesn’t deserve our business.
Cant say enough about this place. I have been going here for about 2 years and it literally takes less than 10 minutes to get my oil changed. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices, and the staff always makes sure everything is okay with your car each time. I will never go anywhere else!
Every time i go here to get my oil changed the employees are great! Always friendly! The past time i went i was in a new truck i recently bought they let me know what to keep an eye on as the miles get on up on it. They didn’t try to tell me i had to get this changed or this was wrong with it like some places seem to do now days. To sum it up they are good honest people!
I have been using this facility for over 10 years and would highly recommend them to anyone! Quick service, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. Their recommendations are never forced and they catch things most others would miss. They always go above and beyond to make sure you are completely satisfied and are taken care of.
Over the last decade + we have grown to know so many amazing people and love all of our support and are thankful you trust us with your service needs.. I may be a little biased but I sure do love my crew! These guys work 6 days a week majority of the time in the Rain, heat & cold with extremely hot vehicles and burned daily to help provide above notch work! This is not for the faint of heart, its HARD work thats extremely difficult and exhausting at times. Our bones feel it daily. We do not apologize that we are human...we also have to eat.. sometimes depending if we have a man out that we may have to shut the shop down.Times change as do our Protocols and what we can and cannot allow. . We also had to change our NO customers own part policy and start enforcement. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have cause. There are MULTIPLE roles in order to be efficient and follow protocol to ensure we do our job correctly. Occasionally we prefer to eat a hot meal for 10-15 minutes as the owners buys us lunch on Saturdays. Very rarely do we take that 30 mins lunch break. Majority of the time they dont get to sit down more then 10 minutes a day in order to service the needs of our customers... I dont know any business that does not allow a lunch. People need to eat. Please be aware that during the hours of 11-1 there could be a 10-20min shut down depending on how schedules go and car count.Thank you for understanding, we love and appreciate each of you!
Came here to get my oil changed on a Mazda Tribute. They said they dont work on those here, and I thought it was odd, but I said okay..so what should I do about my oil? The guy working was respectful, but the lady (assuming owners wife) was VERY rude and unprofessional. She raised her voice, and yelled Go somewhere else, we cant do it here, we already told you!.. all I did was ask why they cant work on Mazda Tributes? The guys working here seemed fine, but the woman is very rude, and unprofessional
This is my favorite place to go for every vehicle I have owned now. They do the work right. They top off your fluids. I even took a car I was thinking of purchasing here to get them to take a look at it. Thet wrote a full estimate list of every little thing wrong with the car and were honest with me that I should only purchase if i was looking for a project or fixer upper. They are fabulous and all the techs are nice and knowledgeable. Ignore the rude reviews. This place has been great to me and other members of my family for years.
I have used these folks in the past, they performed as expected. This visit however, did not go well. I planned on getting my oil changed while I was running a few other errands. I checked their website before I left the house to make sure they would be open. Yup, open till 3 on Saturdays. I have two identical cars that take 8 quarts of synthetic oil. When I arrived with one of the cars on a previous visit I was told they didnt have the type of oil I needed and was instructed to go to the auto parts store and buy it and they would complete the oil change for me. This visit, to save time, I stopped first at the auto parts store and bought the oil. When I arrived to get the oil changed they told me they didnt install customers oil. Ok, I get it. So I told them I just needed to know the rules. I drove back to the auto parts store to make sure I could return the $80 worth of oil The auto parts store let me return the oil. When I finally made it back to their shop to get my oil changed they had a sign up saying CLOSEED FOR LUNCH. What a waste of time.
I am changing my review from years ago. I have been a customer for at least 15 plus years here. Two trucks.I have never had an issue until today. The giant, mean woman owner is 100% disrespectful to her customers and her actions ran this long term customer off permanently. I will never accept such horrible treatment without provocation.Im glad it happened though because I found a new home for my expensive trucks needs and also found out GeGes has been overcharging me for years! Bye Felicia
DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! I was shocked when the owner told me the price of the oil change. It was $68.00 for the labor, I supplied the oil and filter. When I questioned the price to the owner she became upset and started hurling smart comments towards me. My typical oil change everywhere else cost between $25 and $30 thats me supplying the oil and filters. You will regret if you take your vehicle here, I beg of you not to
Expensive...charged me 131.00 for an oil change. $13.00 of that was for a 10 cent bolt plug for my oil pan (They claimed the old one was rounded). When I asked them how much to plug was they told me around 6 or 7 dollars, which I though was high enough, but someone should be in jail for charging $13.00. The labor for my oil change was 55.95, that is outrageous for a 10 minute oil change. I would advise folks to steer clear of this place, unless you like giving away money.
Ive been going here a few years having my oil change so I went yesterday to have my oil changed and have the AC in my car recharge and Ive done this here few times and they only charged me $10 yesterday the owner lady wants to come on my face and start hollering at me and tell me that Ive never had it done there for $10. I have actually took my car there the last two summers and had my AC recharged but yet the owner wants to holler and peoples face and try to call them a liar I am not a liar I cannot help that they did not write it in your system. But if that is so rude to come holler in your customers face after I told her it was okay that I did not want them to do it for the $40 that I was not mad or anything she is still going to continue to holler in a customers face that is so rude she has no respect this lady is rude as hell
Nice team very professional. Same price as Walmart but much better service. Even with 3 cars in line ahead of me, it only took about 30-35 minutes to get in the bay. Without a line youre in an out in about 15 minutes max. About Saturday, its the busiest day. Or at least plan for an hour start to finish. Still worth it.
Oil change with a Lucas additive cost me $79. As soon as the tech starts on my Ford F-150 he yells out hesitation on drain plug and I knew right then I made a mistake by coming here. It took 45 minutes or more and there was a problem putting drain plug back. On top of all that they tried to sell me a differential flush after they checked it even though I didnt ask for it nor did I want them checking it. Oh and the worst part is that when I got home and checked my oil level it was over a quart low and my truck has no leaks so it was never correctly filled.
Attempted to have oil changed today. In past they allowed me to bring my oil brand they do not carry. They allowed small discount for product all good. Today, some lady with chip on her shoulder wanted to charge me double their fee because i had diesel. Let me see. 1 drain plug, 1 filter, and 2 qts more used oil. She figured was worth double. Never will use them again. Greedy. Not Customer oriented.
Started going here to get my oil changed since it was faster than the dealership (expense is about the same). Each of the last three times I had to remind them about the other fluids and to check the tire pressure as they just wanted to push me out the door.Today I went there to get my tire pressure checked prior to a Thanksgiving road trip. I was asked by the lady who checks in the vehicles if I were a customer after telling her what I wanted done, told her I was and watched her take down my license plate number presumably to check that I in fact was a customer ... no problem so far. But, after waiting for the three vehicles ahead of me to be processed I was told that there would be a charge of $5 to check my tires air pressure. When I told the technician that I wouldnt pay that amount and began attempting to tell him that his competition down the road (the dealership) had never tried to charge me for something that basic, he literally began yelling Have a nice day, sir! Have a nice day! over and over again. I did not raise my voice, belittle anyone working there or do anything else to justify such rude behaviour. I guess I will once again be a customer of the dealership because I will never spend another dollar at this business.
Best professional auto service Ive encounter for their fairness and knowledge. example, light for service came on so I stop at Geges and Elvis a service tech. and very knowledgable ran a check on system which showed a transmission check needed. Elvis, said that they couldnt service trans but told of another that was excellent tranmission repair busness in area. Just Thank You again for your honest service for the 2nd time, Ill be BACK! RJR...
The lady that answered the phone was very rude! All I wanted to know is how much they charge for an oil change and she rushed me off the phone saying that they dont give prices over the phone because different cars take different amounts of oil. Ummm, duh. I know that lady! Thats why I was in the middle of telling you what kind of vehicle I had before you rudely interrupted me. Needless to say, they will not get my business. This place is a total rip off if they cant give me a set price for 5 quarts of oil and an oil filter. If you read the other reviews on here then you can see why she didnt want to give me a price. They want you to take your car to them without knowing the price for an oil change so that they can lie to you and tell you other things are wrong with your car so that they can upcharge you. Pathetic! Ill change my own damn oil!
Word of advice, save your money and do not go here EVER. First off, the techs are very rude, owner seems quite nice, but has no integrity to tell you the truth or admit mistakes. About 6 months ago, my wife took her car there to get oil change (4th time ever), the tech tells her that she may need a new oil pan because the threading for the drain plug seems to be stripped and they even recommended a shop to take it to. We did notice leaking in our driveway and 2 weeks down, her car is almost completely out of oil, so we buy a new pan and take it to a friends shop to get it replaced. Her car is about 8 years old, so we didnt think nothing of it. Just 2 months ago, I take my car there myself (3rd time ever) and as they were working on my car, we hear a loud thump and the whole car shakes with me, my wife, and son in it. After the service, they give us a receipt and tell us we will need a new gasket and something else on the next service. We brush it off again and go home and then days later notice that my side of the driveway has oil stains as well. Another week goes by and my dash throws an alert for low oil pressure warning, I check the oil and it is almost completely gone. I buy some oil to refill and wait out til the weekend to take it back to GeGes. I told them about the leaking and the owner tells me his techs will look at it to see whats wrong. They do the service and tell me I wont need a new gasket or anything else and that everything looks fine and gave me some BS about the leaking. I go home and monitor my car and sure enough, still leaking. My car is ONLY 2 years old...this is no longer a coincidence. I call my friend and he tells me it may be the same problem, but recommended I not ever go back to GeGes. 2 cars they ruined because of their incompetence. Also, on this last visit when I pulled into the bay door and was awaiting service, the tech comes and ask me if I knew that my car takes synthetic only, I tell him, Yes, I am aware. He walks off and mumbles in a clear voice, Im just asking, is it so wrong to ask. BLEEP_BLEEP! He probably didnt notice my passenger window was open as well. He lit up a cigarette and continued towards the car on the opposite side. This guy has a uGa tattoo on his leg in case anyone is wondering. So unprofessional! You have been WARNED!!!
I pulled up on Sat at approximately 1:15 and was waiting for them to motion me to drive in but instead they guy walked out of the bay and turned the sandwich board around that said, taking a lunch break - etc, and walked back kn to sit down and eat. I found that to be extremely rude and certainly doesnt need my business again.
This was the second time my girlfriend has been there in the past 6 months, the first time she went they told her that the oil drain plug was bad and it needed to be replaced, I was behind her waiting to get my oil changed too and asked to see it seeing how this was the 4th oil change on her car (ever... her car was brand new), conveniently they couldnt find it and said they would replace it for free, i shrugged it off and said whatever. That was maybe 6 months ago, she went back today and said the same thing. I dont mind that its a $13 part that could be easily replaced.. its the fact that everytime she goes in there they try to sell her extra not needed parts. Like if she really needs it, cool but everytime she goes up there? No thanks, we will not be returning.
Dropped my car off at Geges today because it was making a loud popping noise and someone told me that they though it was a broken caliper clip. Rocky took the time to thoroughly check out my car and let me know that it was not the brakes at all but that I needed 2 new tires and a alignment and even gave me some tips of where to go to get the tires and alignment. He went above and beyond and his main concern was my safety in the vehicle and not making a buck. Thanks you Geges and Rocky for your help today, I would recommend them to anyone!
Car was smoking when I got home after an oil change, checked the oil level and it was low, called them to report what I found (no problems before the oil change) and they basically told me tough luck/get lost and they were closed/going home for the day. will NEVER be back.
I would strongly encourage you to think twice about getting your oil changed at GeGes Express Lube. After a visit, my steering went haywire. Evidently, the guy doing the oil change had topped of my power steering fluid. GeGes denied anything was done, but the problem started immediately after my visit. Based on some of the other issues I have read about my problem is not unique. Unless you like playing Russian Roulette with your fluids, I would go elsewhere.
Previously, my wife took our low-mileage 2010 GMC Acadia to Geges in Winder, and they used a conventional oil instead of the synthetic required by the manufacturer (I wasnt aware of this). The cars oil clock counts down every 7k miles, and my wife returned to Geges today, at the 7k mile interval. They recommended an expensive, high margin oil system flush while calling the outgoing oil so old and crusty, they referred to my wife as honey, and they indicated that there was only 1 1/2 quarts of oil in the engine. Keep in mind that this vehicle has only 62k miles on the odometer, and that Geges performed the previous oil change 7k miles and less than 4 months ago. There are no oil leaks and the car runs great. This unnerved my wife, and when I called about it, they essentially gave me the caveat emptor shtick and recommended that my unsuspecting wife call me before having her car serviced the next time.As a capitalist, I understand that flushes and other add-on services improve their margins and offset the near loss of a basic oil change. I also understand that negative word of mouth advertising has an exponentially negative effect on business.Good luck, Geges, you need it.
Had my oil changed there the last time went back to get my oil changed again they said the draine plug was crossed and said they would have to charge extra needless to say they didnt do it and they are the ones that messed it up so theNeverNever again lady got involved she snatched the paper out of my handAnd told me to go somewhere elseGuess what theyre the ones that messed it up to startWith if it was messed up

2022-03-28Been coming here for years, totally trust these guys to do the right thing. Bought a new (used) car this weekend, 2011 Jeep Patriot, so of course my first stop today was to have them give it a once over. They changed the oil, recommended a few needed services, told me the rest looked fine. TJ took very good care of everything I needed, Rocky was there as always, and today I even got to meet THE Gege! What a day! I love these guys, they help me keep 5 older cars on the road and running top notch, so I can stay away from any car payments. Ill keep coming here as long as theyll let me. Wont You Join Me?

2021-11-13Edit: customer service has went to zero. I brought a new vehicle up here for the hundredth time, and instead of them accepting they may have made a mistake(2 at least). All of the oil leaked out of said vehicle luckily in the driveway. In the same conversation they said somebody tampered with it......., but the only way to get to the plug is with a jack so youre telling me, someone backed out a drain pan bolt, with a jack, in broad daylight HALFWAY... To sabotage said vehicle? Smooth move on not accepting human fallibility. We will be taking our 8 vehicles elsewhere over a small oil issue.Old review......theyve been taken care of my company vehicles and personal vehicles for 10 years. Mostly because of their customer service.theyre also extremely quick at what they do and theyve never had any issues out of the hundred of oil/ fluid changes weve done with their company. Ive never steered us wrong or tried to sell us things that werent necessary or unneeded at that time. Quick and experienced.

2022-04-30Everyone was great!! A different facility stripped my oil drain plug and on the next visit informed me they couldnt loosen it. The guys at GeGes had no problems! I will be coming back!

2022-05-30DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. A FRIEND TOOK HIS CAR THERE AND THEY STRIPPED THE DRAIN PLUG ON PURPOSE AND SAID THEY CANT CHANGE OIL UNTIL ITS FIXED. MY WIFE TOOK HER CAR THERE AT A DIFFERENT TIME AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. THEY WILL SCAM PEOPLE JUST TO MAKE MORE MONEY. GO AND WATCH THE JIFFY LUBE SCAM ON YOUTUBE. THEY ARE DOING THE SAME THING AT GEGES.

2019-03-19No matter what anyone says against this establishment do not listen. 15 minutes before close my girlfriend and I pulled in, very last minute, and 8 minutes later we were singing the receipt and pulling off. They were extremely fast, professional and friendly. You may another oil change that saves a few dollars, but everyone else within 20 miles had a 90 minute wait just to start. Geges is the place to stop when youre low on time or just dont want to spend your afternoon in a line.

2021-10-05Never come here! They will scam you….every time I’ve came here it’s been 90-100$ for an oil change. They will literally lie to your face. They told me I had multiple oil leaks and made me get something to “fix” the oil leak. This last time I went they said my oil pan was missing. If my car doesn’t have any oil pan how would my car be running? Please let me know 🤣.

2020-10-13This is a great place the people there are wonderful, they tell you what you need up front and dont charge until you agree to whatever it is the suggest you need. I am a female and I have always taken my cars there for oil change. Never have a problem. The have educated me on things other places wouldnt because Im a female they would try to get over on me. I just want to say if you need a oil change and want excellent service all around the board take your vehicles there.
