2 years ago GPC merged with GSU, so any reviews on this location prior to August 2016 are referring to a college that is no longer, so it might be best to disregard those. That being said, I attended this school through dual-enrollment for the 2016-17 school year and it was fantastic. Yes, I can understand where some of the other reviews are coming from, the actual administrative and admissions offices of GSUs perimeter college are a bit lacking, but youll find that at many colleges and universities, it takes forever for processes to happen. Even just getting UGA to process my transcript after GSU sent it to them took multiple emails, calls, and months. So please dont give this college a bad rap just because it has to deal with long processing times like other colleges. My advice is look on their website to make sure their office is open, and just drive over there. Its much easier to get things done that way.As far as the school itself, it was definitely a community college vibe. My classes were filled with other high school students, recent high school grads, and adults from all walks of life. The professors made their syllabi very flexible for working adults and parents, often making exceptions that you would never see at a traditional college. The school buildings are very nice, one of which is brand new to the merge, another is a bit older as it was originally GPC, but it has been renovated on the inside. The Alpharetta location has its own library where you can request books from any GSU campus as well as multiple student common areas, with microwaves and vending machines. This location also has a mini bookstore of sorts where you can buy GSU merchandise as well as books and school supplies. GSUPC also has a free tutoring center for students, which I found to be very helpful. Id highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to further their education. It is fantastic as a stepping stone to then transfer to another school, as all of your credits are transferable to any other public school in Georgia per the University System of Georgia code. All of the professors that teach here are up to GSU standards, and I loved every lecture.
Omg... My sister attends this college and seriously, the service is pitiful.... NO ONE at any of their campuses ever answers the phone at any time of the day!! When she was applying to get in, she must have tried calling at least 25 different times (if not more) within a 2-3 month period and no one ever answered! Ever!! She even tried calling other GPC campuses than the one shed planned to attend and she never ever got through. And then theres the service at the admissions office and the bookstore.. Oh my gosh.. I cant even begin to explain how frustrating that was when I accompanied her to buy her books and to the front office. If theyre not ignoring you, theyre being completely rude and unhelpful. They give the most minimal amount of information that they can give to you. Thankfully, at least the people in the financial aid office seems to be nice, informed about the way things work, and helpful.
I applied one month before deadline but they never even contact me and I sent some emails but they had never reply so I am not still accepted from this college so. now its passed one month after deadline. However I applied some better college and I was accepted within a week.lol
I wish I could give a negative amount of stars. You have a better chance of getting on the phone with JESUS. They will not answer. Any specific office I try to call gives me completely wrong information. No one seems to know what they are doing or give any helpful information. So unorganized and unprofessional. Stay far far away from this school.
GPC and GA State are notorious for terrible admin. Good schools nonetheless.. Nice, small fun campuses. Friendly teachers and students at the GPC campuses OTP. *Shrugs*Make sure and go to the right people in the different offices to get your stuff handled correctly and promptly or your boned with misinformation. Even if you have to drive way out to meet with the good ones to fix computer errors.SERIOUSLY, ITS WORTH THE DRIVE FOR PEACE OF MIND.(Always, always check back that paperwork &/ or changes get processed when they are supposed to after you have filed them.)*The only 2 offices that you need to check in Periodically throughout the semester is Financial aid, and occasionally advising.*Financial Aid: Advising:Miss Clay. Miss Arnold.(Alpharetta). (Perimeter).Umm..On a side note: If you go to Rate My Professor on the web, while doing your add/drop, you wont be sorry. Once I figured out these handy little tips I had a much better college experience!! Good Luck! I Love it at GPC!!
If you can avoid going to or calling GPC, DO IT!!!! They never answer their phones, its completely pathetic. Ive tried multiple different campuses and you first wait 20 minutes, IF YOU CAN GET THROUGH, and then once you finally reach someone, they never have the correct information youre looking for. Ive been trying to get an appeal form for weeks now and I keep getting different information from the advisors. Some people say this, some people say that.STAY AWAY FROM GPC!!!
Not even worth one star. The whole admission & registration process is a total sham. The school takes money, and thats it. Nothing else. After trying 3 consecutive years I really feel like I have to leave a review. Please dont waste your money and time on this nonsense.

2022-05-19A nice bookstore for a small campus like this one. Has the basics in terms of textbooks and supplies, but also has a few extras like gift cards to power banks to even a screen protector! Also, there are used book available to buy and the selection of books is easy to find if youre looking for a specific classs textbook!

2019-06-24I can never get anyone on the damn phone. The voicemail says they are assisting other callers, but let’s be real. They’re not. They have the phone off the hook, or no one is in the office, or they are just in there conversing while the phones are ringing. you guys need to do better and hire more people to take these calls. No one has time to wait on you for over an hour to pick up the phones, at the times they are supposed to be picked up. It makes you guys look unorganized and unprofessional. Just because you are a community college doesn’t mean you can slack off and not care, present yourselves with some level of efficiency. I mean the amount of wrong Information I’ve received from these people has been monumental. It’s like no ones knows what the hell they are doing or what is going on. You as the student have to make sure you are on top of everything that needs to be done, what documents you need to submit and pay attention and make sure you are checking that all of your information is correct and in order. They will not keep track of it or do it for you.

2016-05-25Class starts in literally a few days and they still havent admitted me into the school after all the requirements were done and showing 100% on my status sheet. It still says c-file under review (mind you all the requirements have been satisfied the end of April) Its Almost June. Ive contacted the school and their answering machine says lines are full and automatically hangs up on you. I had to use my lunch time at work to go to admissions office and ask whats taking so long? All I saw was an empty office so Im not sure why they are saying they are busy and behind with checking students documentations. This school and their staff are just Horrible. And then they will have attitudes with you if you are upset that they arent doing their jobs!

2017-03-30Horrible admissions office, horrible financial aid office. Just a horrible experience trying to apply to this school and get help from anyone in administration. It seems like not a single person cares about your success after youve applied. It has been an extreme struggle to try and get assistance from anyone. This is NOT the school for a working adult. If you have a full time job, FORGET about trying to get any help or anything done over the phone. They are very good at taking your money and not offering help of anytime. The only time I have spoken to anyone that seemed to care was after I started crying. This school is in the business of making money, NOT in the business of producing educated individuals.

2017-06-19The worst admissions office, financial aid office, and teachers. They lost my paperwork 4 times, my license twice, and then dropped my courses after an issue financial aid caused. After removing holds from my account new ones would take its place, how does an emergency contact become outdated in less than a month? ITT Tech is less of a joke than this bottom tier school. Do yourself a favor and go another route for your education. Preferably one that knows what its doing and has employees and professors that actually care and know what they are doing.

2016-08-16So I just checked my student email to check my conformation time and date for orientation for new students. I see that I had another email stating that I was withdrawn for orientation. Im to upset. This process has been so upsetting, first problem I had with the school was with their admission process. I turned in all my documents and was wondering why I had not been admitted. I found out it was due to somebody not reviewing my transcript from a college I had previously attended. Mind you they had it since March. Now this! GSU please get it together wit GPC this not good look for either school and not fair for new students to have to go through this when we do everything on our end to complete this process. I guess I have to make another trip to campus to get answers since like every other post states they dont answer the phone at all.

2016-06-05The made me miss a whole semester because they wouldnt update my placement test score.. When I called the testing center they told me they admission should have done that within 48 hrs after testing. After a whole week, I went to the office And they updated it. Which was too late because it takes another week just to review my application and admit me. Now Im looking to take the second half semester and they do not offer any class for my major! A whole summer wasted but I might take a class or two additional.

2016-07-25Absolutely, one hundred percent not worth even one star. The people who work here clearly do not give a damn about their jobs or the people who attend the school. They never answer their phones which causes me to have to take time off of work to physically go to the school to speak with somebody. And then when I do get there, I am greeted with a lot of attitude and little help. Absolutely terrible. Before attending this school, please know that you are going to deal with terrible people. They dont do their jobs right, they are rude, they never answer the phones or emails, and they always tend to not know the answer to anything and will refer you to someone else who is expected to know but then - surprise - they wont know either. Unbelievable

2016-01-05Great professors, nice administrators in the office, bookstore, & library. The tutoring center is always down to help you out. Only complaint is the lack of technology in class rooms.... professors typically have issues with the main monitor and touch screen system. The work is not too difficult, honestly high school was harder. Very lenient, I recommend for a couple years!

2016-08-08I literally just go off the phone and was on hold for an 1hr and a half and STILL DIDNT SPEAK TO ANYONE... are you serious???... This is the most unprofessional school/business Ive ever encountered with in my life. I submitted EVERYTHING for admissions 7 weeks ago. I called 3 times prior and was on hold for 45 min before I got to speak with someone. They advised me my application was under review when clearly it stated that I had all documents outstanding ONLINE????? WHAT??? The third time I call the rep advised that they have everything but it hasnt been submitted in their system so I have to wait 21 more days (Mind you school starts in 2 weeks) All I could do was laugh because they are so unorganized that its unbelievable. Im disgusted!! Georgia State University need to get GPC in check... This merger make both schools look terrible.
