This was my familys first meeting with Dr. Ortiz. We loved his positive, upbeat personality. My husband, teenage son and myself each saw him and his staff for eye exams the same afternoon. We visited him at the location in Bremen, GA. We were So Pleased with our visit that wed Definitely recommend him and plan to see him for any needed eye exams in the future.
Dr. Ortiz saved the day after my boyfriend who had suffered an eye injury, was misdiagnosed. Dr. Ortiz swiftly solved the problem and treated him accordingly along with conducting a thorough eye examination to completely check the eye. He was also very friendly and was super easy to converse with in addition to communicating with us exactly what was going on! Would recommend to anyone
If youve got questions, eye health issues, or just need a good yearly exam these guys are the ones to see. The (super)woman that runs the front desk is always helpful and so sweet. She can sort out everything from paperwork, to insurance, and even glass fittings. The tech that gets the exams started is wonderful, quick & efficient, as well as knowledgeable. And then we get to see Dr Ortiz who is very personable and makes you feel like an old friend when you come back for future visits. Personally theyve helped me through eye inflammation flare-ups from an autoimmune disease as well as the yearly all around eye exams and are very good at giving you information in a way thats easy to understand. Highly recommend! 👍👍
Dr. Johnson was very pleasant, thorough and cared about the issue I had going on. He offered a few options and started with the one that cost me less money as I am a self-paying patient. I will definitely continue to use him and this practice!

Look for years for a cornea Dr that could help me see. Dr Ortiz knew exactly what I needed. Love my new contacts my vision is better than it has been in years ❤️ And the staff is super nice. Love them all
I loved Dr Wilcox OD, but she’s gone!I can’t stand the pushy Ophthalmologists! Every time I go in for a vision check these MDs want to do surgery! Lasix! Cataracts without vision change! These guys are surgeons and only want to perform expensive surgery! $15,000 for each Cataract surgery per eye! Only lasts 15’ so can do 4 surgeries an hour for $60,000.As a certified NP in emergency medicine I am shocked as everything is money, money, money. I despise the MDs but absolutely love the doctors of optometry.
My first visit. Totally pleased and confident which says a lot since Dr. Berry has followed me for years. Dr. Johnson was thorough in studying my chart and his responses showed that he was truly listening to me.

My experience was very good. Dr Ortiz explained everything to me about my eye problem. Plus the office was very close to my home. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Everyone in the office was very nice. I was disappointed my exam wasn’t done by the doctor I’m asked to review. I’m assuming it was a tech that did the exam, which is a bit weird for me. I prefer to have the doctor do my exam and that is what I expected. Not sure if this is common practice at this facility, so that would be the only reason I wouldn’t go back. However, the brief few minutes I saw the doctor at the end, he was also very nice.
Dr. Ortiz is the most professional and well mannered person I have ever personally encountered in a medical setting. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who is needing eye care, and I will be coming back!

I really enjoyed being seen by Dr Ortiz, he checked my eye problems that I was having, and unlike a lot of Doctors nowadays he actually listened to me. A big plus in my book.Was able to diagnose the problem and its just about cleared up now.Thanks Dr Ortiz

He is the friendliest doctor Ive ever been to, and he is very thorough and takes all the time necessary to listen to me and examine my eyes. The staff at Georgia Vision Institute is terrific, friendly, and gets you in quickly to take care of all the preliminaries before you see the doctor. Im very happy that I found this practice.

2021-10-08We were traveling through the area, when my right eye swelled and I had trouble seeing. We went to the Georgia Vision Institute to make an appointment and they immediately saw me! Dr.Ortiz,OD, was thorough and professional. He gently examined my eye and cleaned it of any debris. I was prescribed eye drops and sent on my way. One week later, my vision is back to normal and our trip in continued. I thoroughly recommend this office! Excellent staff and doctors!

2021-11-01My 9-year-old had an appointment here through the PASS program. Everyone in the office was great from check-in, to seeing the tech, to the doctor and then to pick out the glasses. They didn’t have many options for my son as the children’s glasses were kind of small and the adults were too big. They called their Carrollton location to have some sent up for my son to try. There was almost zero wait and I felt as if my son was their too priority during his appointment slot. The doctor and tech were patient with him and my son was able to understand and do everything asked of him with ease. I recommend giving this place a try if you are in search of an eye doctor.

2022-05-05GEORGIA VISION INSTITUTE IS AMAZING. BEAUTIFUL OFFICE SUPER NICE PEOPLE. DR WAS SUPER NICE AND FRIENDLY. I THINK THEY ARE HIGHER PRICED THAN OTHER EYE DRS IN THR AREA.
