This is the second time we have worked with Sue Patterson and she was just as great as she was when she helped me purchase my first home. Sue listened to what we were looking for in a home and didnt show us anything less than. She made this a smooth process in a tough market and goes above and beyond! We literally had the best “new build” buying experience ever! If you can choose, ask for Chelsea Edenfield!!! She is absolutely incredible!! We are a military family and had to buy a home in Warner Robins BEFORE moving from Charleston. We met Chelsea and the first day she assured us that there was nothing to worry about. She earned our trust so much the first day that we ended up letting her choose many of the options in the home since we weren’t there. She FaceTimed us EVERYDAY to a point where I had to tell her she could relax a little (i felt like she spent every second of her day making sure we were taken care of). The best thing that happened to me was having Ava Wilson at Golden Key as my agent. I trusted her and her opinion as to what needed to be done to the house to get the best value. She was constantly there for support and keeping me abreast of where we where in the selling process. Her staging of the house was fabulous. The first day the house was on the market, I had four offers and a contract to buy the next day. This would not have happened if not for Ava Wilson. She and Golden Key are highly recommended by me.

We recently moved out of a home we had rented through Golden Key Realty so I thought Id leave a review for any prospective renters. Sue Patterson was the agent we initially went through and she is a true professional. She was flexible with meeting/showing times, was very kind and helpful and always responsive to emails and phone calls. 100% recommend her. Then, after we leased the home, the great service continued. We never had problems with the home, it was a great place, but when we had small issues, like having a faucet replaced or having maintenance done, it was always handled immediately by qualified and very likeable folks. I never had one opportunity to complain about Golden Key Realty or their contractors. All of the staff was always helpful and nice, any maintenance workers were as well. If we ever moved back to middle GA I would not even consider another realty company.
Going to “expound” on my experiences at the request of the business, but don’t expect anything will be done about it. Not gonna give all the details of my experience because GKR has already wasted enough of my time.This happened a couple of years ago but still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. My fiancée and I were looking to rent from GKR. Made an appointment and the lady basically forgot about us. She was quick to show up after we called tho so didn’t think much of it.Anyway we looked at the house, were interested and ready to apply and put the deposit down. Before we went through the process, we asked the lady if there had been any others who applied. We asked this because we wanted to know whether we might need to plan a contingency in case it got rented to a previous applicant first. The lady even called the office to check, and we were reassured no one had applied. Put in the app and paid the fee that same day. $50 bucks each.So we wait and wait, thinking this is pretty much a done deal and they’re trying to tie things up with the owner. Two weeks with NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER. Finally decided to call and found out that THE HOUSE WAS RENTED TO SOMEONE ELSE. NO effort to contact us and let us know. NO indication that we weren’t approved, or even that we WERE approved to rent a house from them. I mean A BIG FAT NOTHING.By this point we were screwed because we had maybe a couple of weeks before our current lease went up. We actually told the lady this and she reassured us, but then apparently forgot about us again. I’m not going to call her out specifically because this was clearly an error by GKR as a whole, though she did play a big part.We ended up having to renew at the place we were staying before because GOLDEN KEY’S COMMUNICATION WAS GARBAGE. This ended up costing us more than the rent of the house we applied for. The interest we got after finding out seemed perfunctory, with the lady apologizing and saying we could try for another house they had listed. No interest whatsoever when we weren’t biting on a house that cost $200 more per month and was bigger than we even needed. We could have paid for it but GKR annihilated any trust we had in their competency.I get stuff happens. I really do. What I don’t get is how you simply forget about customers who have paid you for a service. If I was any pettier I’d be strongly tempted to litigate based on promissory estoppel, as we depended on GKR to come thru based on their reassurances, and they failed MISERABLY, putting us in a bad position.Guess we didn’t make enough of an impression to be worth remembering to GKR. That’s okay though, because GKR made a big impression on me. So much so that we will be going out of our way to ensure that GKR doesn’t make another single PENNY off of us in any realty transactions we have in the future. Hope you really enjoy that $100 cause you earned yourself a lifelong opponent.
Dianne Bryant made the selling process incredibly easy and took extra steps to ensure a quick sale. She was very professional through out and always available to answer any questions or concerns. Choose no other than Chelsea! She is AMAZING! As young, first time home buyers on a time line, we were hesitant for the buying process, and had a lot to learn. We discovered Chelsea on google, and loved the good reviews. We decided to take the chance, and will forever be grateful we chose GKR, but more specifically, Chelsea Edenfield.Chelsea made an appointment with us the same day we called her (November 5). Within a couple of days, she showed us multiple homes. November 9, we put in an offer on our dream home. (Yes, only 5 days from the first appointment) We officially CLOSED on our DREAM home December 10.The process was quick and she made it SO understandable. We both work night shift, and she made sure to accommodate that schedule with 8am appointments and 10pm text messages/phone calls. She was so open to what we liked and didn’t like, and really listened to our preferences, and in turn, we bought the FIRST house she showed us. She is beyond easy to talk to, and understand. Upon our first appointment, it was quickly noticeable that she has been in her profession for a while, and is very knowledgeable about real estate and the housing market. She told us that her commitment was our satisfaction and happiness, even if we didn’t choose her (how genuine!) She genuinely showed that commitment through every step of the process.When showing houses, she even remembered our preferences and pointed out things we may like, or thing we may need to pay attention to. She pays so much attention to detail and has great knowledge on home design and layouts, in addition. Every step of the way, she knew what was next, and even had recommendations for people locally that we could contact for every step of the process. There was never a moment we had to figure anything out ourselves or were left without understanding. Even with the smallest questions, or things we didn’t understand, she made sure to be open with communication. What could have been such an overwhelming process easily turned into the simplest, most organized, and stress free encounter. I am a first time homeowner and had the honor of working with Lakisha McMichael. Its important to know that I had ABSOLUTELY no experience or guidence in the process of purchasing a home prior to working with Lakisha, and was kind of like a deer in headlights with no idea where to start or how this entire dream of owning my own home would turn out. I’ve contacted this place several times about a home that’s listed for rent. I was told by the listing agent that it was Available and to put my application in. I never heard back from anyone so I called in and I was told it wasn’t Available however all other homes are being removed from the site but this one remains listed as available a week later as of now. So I call again, I’m told it’s rented. I had a coworker who’s white call and she’s given details about how available it is 🤔. So after hearing her call I call back immediately and I’m told AGAIN that it’s not available. The application fee was only 40 but that’s money I could still have if only they would list on their site that there’s a “skin color” requirement to rent from them.-Signed a black woman!

If you are a house owner and looking to rent your property out dont ask for Debbie Gamber. She use to be a good realtor, but now she cant even send a email out with a list of to do stuff before your property can be rented out without throwing every lie or excuse in the book as to why she hasnt sent the email out or why the guy she knew didnt give her a estimate. So for now Im going to rent out my property with a different company. Might come back to Golden key depending on my experience with another company, but not asking for Debbie again thats for sure!

As a military family who no longer lives in the area, communication is essential for a positive experience when listing a home from half-way around the world.Our original property managing company was horrendous. We changed to Ashley and could not be happier. Her communication is exemplary. The maintenance department at this company is a joke. Mrs. Phillips will lie to you just to get you off the phone. I signed a year rental lease four months ago and been having issue since moving into the property, and not to mention work orders are still pending from 90 days ago. I even reached out to the owner of the property in which was a waste of time. I made this post to warn other potential tenants to seek rentals from other companies and not to make the mistake I did trying to give GKR the Benefit of doubt.

Its laughable that you would even bother responding a year later. Complete with a patronizing closing remark too!We discussed credit before wasting our money on your application. We discussed additional deposits and other ways to demonstrate our worthiness. We were told that you could work with us on credit score if it was a little off. Our income was 5-6X the monthly rent at the property we wanted, we had a solid 3 year rental recommendation, more than enough to pay additional deposits.... Ive also rented from other agencies in the area with worse credit than we had at that time a year ago. But its all water under the bridge. As promised, our scores are up and we just purchased a home. I cant tell you how many Golden Key properties we just drove right on by. ✌230k that you wont get a penny in comissions off of.Original review below:Wouldnt even give them one star if I didnt have to just to write this review. We applied for a rental property and were told that they could work with us on our credit- My score was 4 points below their requirement as I am actively in the process of trying to rebuild my credit. We have more than sufficient income, and the appropriate rental recommendations. We paid our application fee only to be denied on the basis of not meeting their credit minimum. WHAT A SCAM!!!! Our denial email was completely impersonal and void of any human emotion what-so-ever. Not even a fake apology, or a generic best wishes .. nothing other than thanks for your application fee, we appreciate you purchasing coffee and toilet paper for the office basically. The woman tasked with emailing me and telling me to go screw myself couldnt even be bothered to discuss discrepancies with me, or to tell me where they pulled my consumer report from. I had to do my own digging to figure that out. I guess if you have great credit and are looking for a place to rent you could give Golden Key a chance, but Ill tell everyone I know whether they want to rent or buy to steer clear of this place. My credit score wont be low for long, and well be looking to purchase- Ill make sure to not step foot in a Golden Key property.
My real estate agent at Golden Key Realty super communicative throughout the entire process. Just awesome! She keep the process going smoothly and always answered my questions and concerns throughout. I highly recommend their real estate services.
We are tenants who Golden Key manages the property. We have been struggling since the day we moved in with an HVAC unit that will not cool our entire home. We have been made false claims, about getting quotes for the owner for a new system, and been told it would be discussed with the owner and we be notified. It never happened. Then, the HVAC technician, who has been to our home MANY MANY times over the last year and a half, informed us PREVIOUS TENANTS HAD THE SAME ISSUE. This means, Golden Key and this home owner have KNOWINGLY was negligent and has defrauded numerous people into renting a home with a defective HVAC system which could not sustain decent inside temperatures during a majority of the year. It is criminal. This HVAC system will not keep rooms or our home between bearable temperatures. For over a month we dealt with rooms being 85 to 90 degrees before investing $800 in window units to keep the home cool. We pay $1200 a month rent in a PREMIUM AREA to have window units, that we had to purchase. I have never been so disappointed in the acts of any business. Golden Key might not care about the people who are legal law obeying, bill paying citizens, but there are other agencies who do. I will be filing complaints for absolute negligence with the Georgia Department of Consumer Affairs, the BBB, and the Real Estate Board for brokers and agents. I sincerely wish you all the best of service and care which you have given to my family.

I thought for rent means for rent. I was looking to rent a property for them. They told me the property was already getting signed the lease. So l am like okay. So please tell me how l road by these houses. Know one is staying there and a for rent sign has been up for 31 days. And asap someone really needs to go cut the grass. 31 days empty no tenants at all.
These people evicted us even though I told them we were moving the weekend after the moving trucks came to get our stuff. They apparently thought we were still in the house weeks after we moved. I found out from a neighbor that there is an eviction notice on the door, 2 weeks after we left. That is going to affect us getting a new house in our new state. Also, we put in numerous maintenance requests, some never got fixed and the others just took forever to get fixed. So many things wrong with that house. I am furious!
At Golden Key Realty, they treat their clients with attentiveness and respect. Every time I called with a question, someone was always available to speak with. I was very impressed with the professionalism while working with this real estate agency.
Coming from out of state and having no knowledge of the area was difficult to start off . Luckily we had Lisa Corley with golden key as our realtor. She went above and beyond and helped us into a dream home . 10 outta 10

I definitely would not rent from these guys anymore. The unprofessionalism is unreal. Ive been at one of their properties for over a year now. Currently on a month to month lease since serving out my contracted 1 year. Friendly people but overall customer service SUCKS. They barely followuo on maintenace issues. Had dishwasher issues in February. I reported it via written note with rent. Didnt get fixed until July. Had a tree grow into the water pipes, which caused inconvenience for more than 3 days. I called the office about a week before next months rent was due to inquire on some sort of compensation for incovienence, which totaled $112.00 out of pocket expenses and was told after going into the office 10 days later that it was not the owner or agency problem. I was told I should have had renters insurance. Funny thing about that is, I HAVE RENTERS INSURANCE!!! Insurance company advised wouldnt be something covered under my policy.Overall, the professionals at this company have an issues with following up with the residents. They have no problem sending out late payment reminded or eviction notices though. Advice to you... FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!

Most definitely do not rent from this business. They deserve the one star only because they appear to be nice while renting from them. But, they offer zero customer service to the tenants, and they will 100% refuse to return a security deposit regardless of the amount of work or money you put into the property before returning it to them. Their expectation is for the tenant to flip the property to a pristine condition so that they dont have to invest anything back into the property.While living in the home, we started noticing a lot of problems with electrical, sewage, wear and tear, etc... when we would notify GKR of these problems they rarely returned our calls or messages without us following up 2-3 times first. At one time we (living in a 3 bath home) were down to 1 bathroom, with the septic tank backing up into the house. It took them over two months to fix the septic, and 2 weeks to get us back to more than 1 bathroom. After the septic was completely dug up and replaced, they left the yard in the torn up condition. No re-leveling of the ground, or sodding was done after. This led to a backyard that was filled with red clay/mud. This of course, caused lots of issues with the home. Every time the kids played outside, they were covered in the stuff, and it got tracked in the house. When we complained to GKR, on several occasions, and sent them video and pictures, they ignored it and did not respond. Upon moving out, they used this as a reason to withhold our security deposit for messy carpets and walls. Mind you, professionally shampooed the carpets before moving out (and professionally cleaned the house), and also shampooed the carpets at least once a month on our own because we didnt like living in the mess. We also, during most of this time, had sewage running down our yard, into the driveway and the road. We have three young children, so when this was occurring we couldnt let them play outside. We informed GKR and they didnt seem to care.More so, the home we rented had a pool. In the 24 months we rented the home, we only had use of the pool for 8-9 months because of pool liner and pump issues, combined with the fact that after the septic was dug up and not re-sodded, the mud flowed into the pool every time it rained.They also insisted we repaint the house (I didnt do it), because of normal smudges and scuffs from living in a home for 24 months. Ive never rented from any property management company that makes the tenant repaint an entire home because of this.I spent nearly $2000 on cleaning, repairing, shampooing, and replacing stuff prior to moving, and then they e-mailed me a bill for most of the same things, saying that it was being paid for with my security deposit, and that I was lucky because they could have charged me for much more.When we moved in, it had been painted by a GKR employee, and the paint job was HORRIBLE. We told them, and they assured us that they would make note and we wouldnt be responsible. They lied. The house was being cleaned the day we moved in. The cleaners were there for 2 hours that day. A mother and daughter. The house is 2600 square feet, so I dont blame those them, but it was NOT in move in clean condition.Nothing about this business is a good practice. I am certainly going to the Georgia BBB over GKR practices. They obviously do this only so they dont have to refund security deposits and they can bank the money. My only regret is that I was dumb enough to spend nearly $2000 on the cleaning and repairs prior to moving out. I should have forced them to use my security deposit.Bottom line, DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED.They are very nice while you are a tenant, and you tend to forgive them for not responding to your maintenance requests because they are nice, but in the end, you get screwed. I realize I was too nice, and should have documented more, and stayed on them, but I tend to be a pushover, and see the best in people in the beginning. That part is my fault, the rest is them.
My son made an appointment to see a property he was interested in. Lisa was to meet him at 10:00 a.m., but never showed up. She didn’t even have the decency to call him. We called their office and made another appt. with Tracy. She wasn’t very helpful. If you aren’t spending upwards of $300 thousand, this company’s employees don’t want you as a customer.
My realtor Tammy Giles was excellent. We hit quite a few bumps in the road but she stuck with me through it all and actually helped me keep it all in perspective.

I just moved in to my rental home October 6 and so far this experience has NOT been a pleasant one. Maintainance has not contacted me regarding a leak in the closet ceiling I notified them of on the 2nd and now my AC is not working and I can not get in touch with anyone...and I signed a year lease and am feeling like made a huge mistake!!

2021-06-22Working with Kira Weaver was the absolute best experience Ive ever had with a realtor and that includes relatives I MUST use to keep peace inside the family. It took about 3 hours to sell our home in Bonaire and that was a huge relief since I needed to get back to Texas. For most of the sales process, I remained there and Kira was always available via text, phone, or email and was expeditious in responding when I had a question. If youre selling a home in the Warner Robins area, or need to leave the area, I highly recommend Kira because there was zero stress or worry. She took care of everything and I could sing her praises forever! When it comes to selling real estate, it was almost too easy and I couldnt be more thankful that Kira was the real estate agent we decided to work with!!!

2022-06-06WHEW! This process been a RIDE! LAKISHA MCMICHEAL WAS AND IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. My husband and I searched for homes for months and it seemed like forever. She followed us every step of the way. She was looking for houses when we were discouraged as nd didnt want to look. Then God sent us our HOME. This woman would ride by often and take pictures and make sure things were going the way they should. She would call and give us updates. She was always on point and went above and beyond what she had to do. She is an amazing realtor, Christian, friend and person, inside and out. I recommend her to anyone and everyone.
