Goodwill Thrift Store & Donation Center in other cities:
I live nearby and every quarter for almost 6 years now I go here to donate stuff. Clothes, shoes, toys, etc. Every single time I visit this location the employees who collect the donation items are unfriendly, mean and rude. I honestly cant think of one time in the past 6 years one occasion where they were friendly or welcoming. I have been treated with utter contempt and they wont even offer help to offload some heavy items or ask if I need a cart! It is almost feels like they hate the donors. I would drive to some other location if I could!
Rating this 1 star..NOT because they don’t have great finds… I came to this thrift yesterday evening just to find some gems and one of the older male workers decided it was ok to continually watch me and follow me around the store and then proceed to ask for my name even when seeing i had my headphones in and did not want to be disturbed. I was extremely uncomfortable and waited until he went to the back of the store to rush to the registers and check out…as i’m checking out he then lingers around the exit doors and i was debating whether to ask the female cashier if the man was still there. I didn’t see him anymore and hoped he went back to the end of the store but NOPE! this man is outside and then asks for my number and then says HELLO?, i continued to walk as if i didn’t hear anything and went into my car, immediately locked my doors and sadly broke down because i’ve never had this experience while being alone and while it’s dark out. That was not a great experience and can be very scary for women! If you need to see it then check your cameras, he’s wearing a goodwill mask and im wearing a blue shirt with black jeans , whether he thought it was nothing and didn’t intentionally try to scare me, he did regardless and i honestly think it was really inappropriate! Don’t think i’ll ever come back to this location but wanted to share my experience either way
CUSTOMERS BEWARE FITTING ROOMS ARE STILL NOT OPEN RIDICULOUS! WHEN YOU RETURN YOU DONT GET YOUR MONEY BACK YOU GET A MERCHANDISE CREDIT KEEP THE TAGS ATTACHED TOO. YOU HAVE TO DRIVE ALL THE WAY BACK TO THAT GOODWILL TO RETURN THIS IS SO INCONVENIENT TO THE CUSTOMER. NOW IM STARTING TO THINK THERE NOT OPENING THE FITTING ROOMS JUST SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY BY GIVING YOU A CREDIT THATS NOT RIGHT! THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS HAVE YOUR RETURN POLICY SIGN POSTED WHEN CUSTOMERS WALK THROUGH THE DOOR DANG
This Goodwill has everything! The clothing and shoes are organized according to size. They have furniture new and used, mattresses, huge area rugs, sheet and comforter sets, $1 toiletries and paper products. They have almost everything you could need or want. And the daily specials are unbeatable. This is buy far the BEST goodwill there is!
This my favorite Goodwill store around. The prices are reasonable for most items and most of the time I will always find something to take home with me. Like any Goodwill store, the items in the store are based by the items donated by other people. This store just seems to have better items than the other Goodwill stores the the area. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is sometimes the staff are busy stocking and nobody is at the registers to check customers out. However, they see this and send a staff member over.
This has been my favorite GW for 5 years. In the last few months, it has really gone downhill as far as organization. Its a an absolute mess - sizes, type of clothing, men/women - nothing is where it should be. So disappointed. Keep trying it and keep leaving empty handed. Have discovered a better GW on 92 and Sandy Plains Rd.
Had a very poor experience here - tried to donate some rather valuable items and was told that they were no longer accepting donations - I offered to just leave the boxes (where there were plenty others piled up) and the employees yelled at me. Rude employees raising their voices to a customer is unacceptable. I will never return to this location.
This goodwill is full of Hillary hole scum, just had an experience where i was asked to leave the store for wearing my firearm. I have NEVER been asked to vacate a goodwill for wearing my gun inside. I am a law abiding licensed weapon carrier and if i cant wear my firearm in your store then i will take my business elsewhere, this place has gotten WAY too expensive anyways. Tis really a shame, i liked goodwill..
I hate Goodwill for so many reasons. I love the American Kidney Fund across the street.I found out your Goodwill location has harrassed the AKF truck ( which has 2 very old men and a lady working there). It has been reported that Goodwill took pictures of them, harrassed them and reported them to Cobb County codes enforcment. SHAME ON YOU!!!! I hope they put a Semi truck there and run you out!!!!!!!
I tried to donate a nice modern black chandelier and was just told “No”. I went across the street at the Kidney Association truck, and the employee commented on how nice it looked and happily took it.Also I noticed a stiff price increase and some items that are obviously from the Dollar store, like cheap used football decor plastic trays… marked for more than $3 each and more than what the new prices would have been. Will go shop somewhere else, where my nice donated items are appreciated and where things are not overpriced.
Huevones, they do not accept things as long as they do not accommodate them and I had my new TV in my truck next to the things that I was going to leave there and an old man did not accept anything just because he wanted me to leave him my new TV and I told him that not.

2022-03-07If you are a person who loves to find things that other people throw away or donate and transform those things into your treasures, you will love this type of store. I usually go and look for things to decorate my house, you get beautiful objects... I reform them, paint them and give them a new use. I love Goodwill ❤

2022-05-12This is a good Goodwill. I always find something great which is the reason for my five star rating.I do have a bone to pick. One associate (older thin Caucasian male) rambles weird things and behaves strangely. He came up to a young woman who works there with yellow hair who was scanning my items and acted like she couldn’t do her job by herself (she certainly can and has been my cashier multiple times) and he bagged all of my items for her. He was ranting about “illegals” the whole time. I could tell he made the young woman uncomfortable. He also made me uncomfortable. I am upset with myself for not confronting him because the young woman went from friendly to silent and as I’ve had time to mull it over I feel really uneasy about that whole interaction. I hope she is okay. The rest of the associates including the young woman have always been so awesome.

2022-05-09I know that Goodwill tries their best to employ the unemployable, but their donation staff at this location need to be only in the back, and not interacting with any customers. Its costing this place merchandise, which is costing the store business by having fewer quality items for sale. You can see it in the reviews for this store. The donation guy was literally throwing stuff back into my vehicle and cursing and shouting at me -- COMPLETELY unhinged and possibly bipolar! He is the rudest person I have encountered since the homeless guy back in 2012 in downtown Atlanta who tried to run over my property manager with a shopping cart.Theres actually 2 nasty old men at this donation location. God bless you if you have to deal with either of them. Theyre a-holes with everyone, if its any consolation. I wont be patroning this store at all anymore. Also, the book selection at this store is atrocious - mostly church books, airplane novels, self help books from the 80s and 90s, and bad fiction. Nothing interesting. The 92/575 location and Value Village in Roswell have way better books.

2022-06-25Several times Ive tried donating at this store only to be told, NO, were not taking any more donations! Im not donating bags of garbage, but useful household items (working sewing machine, appliances, etc.) I get that everyone is short-staffed these days, but this is their JOB, so they need to find a way to accommodate people who have gone through a lot of trouble to bring in their donations.

2022-06-27Great variety of stuff, good prices, clean store. And this Goodwill has actually conquered a problem that every other Goodwill store has. Most goodwills are great until it comes time to check out. Then you want to kill yourself. I know whoever is running these stores is smart enough to figure out you need more than one cashier and the cashiers that you have cant be the worst possible multitaskers have anxiety issues, no sense of urgency or be completely catatonic. When you see 11 people lined up at one register that should trigger your little brain to say hey we need to help that poor soul at the cash register. Well this Goodwill seems to have that down even the checkout process here is usually pretty good. General manager, call the other stores and shame the people who allow this type of checkout procedure to continue. Educate your peers please. And bravo do you serve very nice job.

2021-02-21Visited this location and walked away with a lot of awesome pieces. Customer service was great and there were a lot of nice items constantly being brought out to the floor. You should definitely add them to your list on thrifting days.

2022-05-10Update: Gone down hill, bummer. Was my favorite. Store is not nearly as clean or organized, pricing on some stuff is stupid high like sheets found for much less in other stores, merchandise with stains and rips, store hasnt been stocked well either. Previous review- Goodwill junkie here! Over years of thrifting, this location over all has given me more Yippie moments than others. This store is cleaner than most and usually attempts to keep it organized. Happy hunting!

2021-06-02Just tried to donate a car full of items to donate after spending half a day cleaning out my garage. I thought the store closed at 9 but apparently it was 8. I started opening my doors and trunk to unload and was told they were closed by a staff member. I looked at my watch and saw it was 8:03. A second employee came out and was rude. There was no pleading with them to work with me. No excuse for being rude but they seemed totally overwhelmed with the donations that day. Maybe time to hire more staff to collect and sort the donations?

2020-12-21Busy for the holidays, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Store us almost always clean and well organized. Prices range from fair to great with a few ridiculous thrown in to balance things out. Customers vary from those shopping & price researching for resell to the average person to those who need a bargain. And who doesnt?
