I ordered a burger, fries and soda. The food was awesome but the soda was just sparkling water with no flavor. I called the store not looking for a credit or refund but just to give them heads up, the associate I spoke with was very passive with me( in other words she was telling me I shouldn’t complain clearly they have plenty of customers so am just a number) I then asked to speak to a manager his name is Rick who was equally passive if not worse than his subordinate. He kept emphasizing I should come back and get another soda. Like NO I cannot drive back for a soda (I had told him am not looking for refund or compensation) I was just offering constructive criticism as a customer. So NEVER again
I was ready to give this place a 1 star review after placing a online order for curbside pickup that never came......This was my first time ordering from here and after 20mins of waiting in my car for my curbside order I decided to go inside. Upon entering, I noticed that my order was just sitting behind the counter. After giving my name, I was handed my food and a cup for my drink. After getting my drink, I wanted to check the temperature of my food before leaving and realized that it was warm since it had probably been sitting for the same 20mins I was waiting in my car. I politely went back to the counter and the manager was quick to apologize and provide me with a fresh order. Although I had to wait 10 additional minutes, I understand that we are all human and mistakes happen. Because of the quick response to correcting their wrong and the delicious burger I did later enjoy I decided to give them a 4 star. Thanks for making things right GRUB. I will be back in the future.
First impression:Clean, friendly, great burgers, and especially their fries. So crispy and flavorful. The drink Spicy Pineapple Rita was SO good too.Second impression:Went after the Coffee and Octane car meet, and I have to say it’s still good as the first time around.Place is clean, and friendly. This time I got their California chicken sandwich with onion rings...super tasty, probably liked it more than the burger.
I went to Grub Burger Bar twice within a weeks and had the salmon burger both times - the second time I added the black bean and corn dish (forgot the name) as a side! The food was fresh and delicious both times. The $5 ’Rita was ok but probably would’ve been better if I requested it with no salt as I normally do. They also have $2 mimosas all day on the weekends which is a plus... they were good as expected. The salmon burger was a juicy hand made patty... if it wasn’t, they fooled me. It definitely wasn’t a previously frozen patty!! 😋
Blown away that eating here is $20 per person, yet the food was soggy and flavorless. The “seasoned fries” are just from a frozen plastic bag. They didn’t even have salt on them…don’t put seasoned fries on your menu if you don’t have seasoning! Burger? Slimy. Milkshake? Icy. Get outta here…
It was my 1st time at this restaurant. I will say the initial greeting and customer service was good. But overall the food is not worth it. I bought a scorpion burger with an ET milkshake....and they charged EXTRA for the fries 😒, my total was about $17. The MILKSHAKE WAS WATERY, the flavor of the shake was bland, and my fries were soggy. My whole meal was not even hot! Also, the BURGER BUNS WERE SOGGY! In all honesty HARDEES HAS BETTER BURGERS AND BETTER PRICING. The food here was NOT WORTH $17. And it seems that the restaurant is too busy for their own good. Im also disappointed with the fact that they put ICEBERG LETTUCE on a $17 meal.
Grubs is a go to place for me and friends here in Atlanta! Lovely vibes. I generally go for the Scorpion burger but this time I tried the Youre my Boy Blue which was filled with Bleu cheese dressing and Bleu cheese crumbles. The caramelized onions did a great job at balancing out the strong flavors. The waffle cut sweet potato fries is a great idea with a chilled beer from the bar!And while at the bar, go crazy during their happy hours with some flavorful cocktails. My favorite was the Blueberry Coconut Mojito 🍸🥥 Most college folks were raving about the 5$ Ritas. Ill definitely give it a try the next time Im here.Overall, fun vibes and youll not be disappointed with the food at all
I have eaten at Grub about 5 times. The first two times the OG chicken sandwich was awesome. Flavorful and tender but my last three visits the chicken sandwich has been very hard to chew ,similar to a well done steak. Today I gave up. I cant keep waisting my money at Grub.
I used to come here all the time but haven’t been in a while and this will be the last time I come back.1. I guess they changed the “skinny fries” because they are not the brown straight fries anymore. Imagine the surprise of opening a box of burnt crinkle fries.2. The buns to my “front porch burger” were burnt, and the meat was well WELL done, black (burnt) and super dry.3. My bf got the tenders which he said were dried out and hard. He ate two and threw the rest away.I don’t know if last night was a bad night for them or if they had a new cook, but I will not be back. The food was just that bad for me.
We were in the area and became hungry so we decided to stop by here. The place is very sleek and clean in the inside. The staff is very friendly as well. I decided to order the salmon burger, which was real salmon chopped up more or less like a Patty but very delicious. Came with all the condiments of a burgers. My husband and son had a decent size burger, which they thought was delicious. Definitely a great size for the price. The fries were also good. They also have a bar area.
Daughter and friends went the the perimeter location and got hamburgers. The burgers were so undercooked they couldnt eat them. Add to this, they were flavorless. Needless to say, the food went on the garbage. For the price of food at any restaurant, the quality needs to be a lot better.
Nice vibe. The staff did an excellent job explaining the menu. The shoe string fries were delicious but a little salty. Hamburger was good but the bun was a little too hard Several different types of iced teas to select. Make home made shakes and spiked shakes. Overall good.
Update on this review posted yesterday: I upgraded the rating from 4 to 5 stars because of the restaurant taking the time to reach out to me regarding the review and my concern, inviting me to contact them with any suggestions as to how they can improve. Very classy.First time eating here today. Great food. Beautiful, clean restaurant. The service was a bit slow when it came to ordering more drinks which may be related to their process of having customers order food at a counter separate from the actual bar. But generally they seemed to make it work. There were 4 of us. We ordered a couple of appetizers including the Brussels sprouts, which are delicious as well as an order of wings and the queso dip with chips. Our main courses consisted of two fried chicken club sandwiches, the Ahi tuna bowl and the pesto Turkey Cobb salad. All were really good. Well definitely go back.
We had a party of 5 at 7 pm on a Sunday night. No line, with plenty of places to sit. They also have a bar. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you.We got the Guacapotle Burger with Fries ($8.29 + $2.59), Jive Turkey Burger with Sweets ($8.55 + $3), Jive Turkey Burger with Brussels Sprouts ($8.55 + $4.99) and the Napa Salad ($9.99), the Voodoo Mushroom Burger sub Beyond Burger with Mac ‘N’ Cheese (no bacon) ($8.55 + $3 + $3.50), and California Chicken Sandwich with Brussels Sprouts ($8.55 + $4.99). The burgers were great and the sides were great. The Brussels Sprouts were too oily though. The portion sizes were good, except the Mac ‘N’ Cheese—that little ole bowl was not anywhere near worth $5, especially considering it’s made of pasta and cheese sauce (not even cheese!!).It’s good, but it ain’t cheap. When all was said and done, a causal Sunday night dinner for 5 was over $80! (Yes, one person got two meals, with a burger and a salad, so without the salad it would’ve been over $70, which brings it to a much more reasonable $14 per person.) I would say we would maybe split 2-3 sides between 5 people next time, but that doesn’t do much to bring down the cost.Overall, though, the burgers were really good. It’s in a convenient location. The only thing that would keep us from going back is the prices.
Great experience! I have been to about 5 different Grub Burgers in 3 different states and have always had a great experience! This time was no different! If not even better! Today is my birthday and they had no idea. When I walked in, I was welcomed by every employee and assisted ever so sweetly by Cheyenne at the register. TJ took over for her when she needed to tend to something else and he was nothing short of courteous as well. While at the register, there was a slight fumble with the cups. Kurt, the manager, made it his duty to make my experience enjoyable by apologizing for that mishap and covering my lunch! Far too kind. Great customer service indeed. This experience tops all other amazing experiences because it was unexpected and so refreshing. I left 3 restaurants prior due to lack of customer service when we walked in. Might I add that the Mac n cheese burger was delicious and the wild caught salmon is like no other! I’m glad I came to Grub, as they never disappoint! Thank you Grub!
This place was across the street from where we were staying, so we decided to try something new. The staff was very friendly and helpful! You come in and order your food, then find a seat and they bring the food out to you. You can get multiple refills for your drink (because you serve yourself at the drink area). They had some different dipping sauces to try. I ordered the California Chicken Sandwich and added a side salad instead of fries, it was delicious! (Pictured below). The kids meals were decent sized and definitely worth the $5! (Pictured below) If paying with a card, you do tip ahead of time. It wasnt busy when we visited. It didnt take a long time to get our food. The inside of the restaurant was very nice. The lights were neat looking, almost like a bunch of grapes (as my daughter said lol!). I would definitely come back here if Im in the area again.
Fantastic burgers!! All of the food was great, but if you’re going to call yourself a burger bar the burgers better be top notch, and they were!! Jourdan and the rest of the bar staff were super friendly and very attentive! Really can’t think of anything negative at all. They even bake their own buns in house. If you haven’t been, you should definitely make a point of checking this place out!!
Just WOW, burgers were so scrumptious and delicious ...fries crispy, atmosphere was spot on, we dined in...you can get online menus , once ready to order you order at register, and you serve yourself at drink station...you can watch as they prepare in house hamburger buns...once seated they bring you your order...restrooms clean and they have a baby changing station...bar available as well...staff really friendly and helpful...my only complaint was the music was to loud...we had a hard time visiting because we had to holler above the music...other than that great experience
Grub is a warm, casual yet classy burger join with amazing hospitality and fantastic food. If you like burgers & comfortable dinning, I highly recommend this spot.I walked in immediately impressed by the atmosphere to only then be blown away by the staff. The hospitality of the Grub team was above and beyond. They were patient with me as I familiarized myself with their menu, they answered all my questions and brought me a sample of a beer so I didnt order something I would hate. All without being prompted to do so. Then, to top it off as I sat waiting for my food to arrive, a team member brought out a sample of their chips and queso for me to try, on the house, because it was my first time there. My food came out cooked as it was ordered and hit the spot. Overall, my dinning experience at Grub was hands down the best one while I was in Atlanta (4 nights).
This was my first time getting takeout at Grub Kitchen & Bar and it was a horrible experience. I ordered 3 Maverick burgers and all of them were extremely salty and undercooked. I also ordered fries and did not receive them. Not at all what I expected and I am very disappointed. It was such an unpleasant experience for the price.
My daughter and I strolled past this place and I wondered: where are all the reviews? Well, upon entering this restaurant, we realized theyd just opened last Tuesday. This place is AWESOME. We we greated at the door by Kevin, who brought us some milkshake samples to our table. Everyone we encountered was completely friendly and helpful. We learned happy hour is all day Thursday & Friday. (half price drinks!). The chicken pesto salad work eggs and avocado was to die for. My daughter got a kids burger and we enjoyed our meal outside. I loved the positive messages throughout the interior. I loved how pleasant the staff were. I appreciated the military discount. Would totally recommend this joint.
Burgers are amazing at this place. On one side they have a restaurant to vibe and on the other, they have a bar like vibe. Their drinks are cheap. I would recommend just doing beer instead of cocktails, and they always have happy hour... Every hour is happy hour actually. Try the guac burger. Its delicious. I loved it. Their shakes also hot the spot.
Ive been here twice in the past week! The burgers are really that good! I work down the street, so to beat the lunch rush, arrive before 12. The first visit I had the jive turkey burger on a gluten free bun, and yesterday I had the front porch on a gluten free bun. The gf buns are really good (and insta worthy). The seasoning and sauces they have are also really good. I cant wait to come back for happy hour to try the drinks!
Stop Reading Right Now! Get to Grub!OK, I assume you are now there enjoying the awesome 😁.Full ReviewI just moved to the area 2 months ago. You are presented with a myriad of amazing places to eat and drink! Finally, I ran into Grub and Im done!1. Amazing Beer Selection2. Amazing and well priced cocktails!3. Alcoholic Milk Shakes - Not A Typo! Now you know why I said to stop reading my review up above 😎.Service is excellent, Jordan is amazing (sorry Jordan, I know you have a fancy spelling for your name but I cant recall the spelling!) She makes an amazing double Moscow Mule.Backed up by Chris, he takes care of your group with snark comments and awesome service.I love Grub!
First time here wasnt sure how things worked so I had the confused face but a young lady explained where to order & theyll bring it to us. So many good choices of food from the description but my model is, if a restaurant can make a good moist Turkey burger Im coming back.Hands down one of the best Turkey burgers Ive eaten, very fresh clean taste soft wheat breadt along with Brussels sprouts.Very great combination.Service was fast & friendly, a nice amount of sitting , interesting cocktail list, a good variety of dishes.I will definitely be back.
Not bad for a real beef burger. Its not enormous, nice and greasy, and goes great with the shoestring fries and chipotle ketchup. The fries are awesome, by the way! Downside is the burger tends to fall apart a little too easy. Upside is $2 PBR tall boys 😃 Not a bad stop for lunch.Edit: Updated review on 12/13/2019. Went back again the other day with some co-workers and grabbed a Scorpion burger. The fries are still excellent and the burger have gotten much better since my last visit. Buns are still baked on site and taste great. Portions are the right size Only downside is the PBRs went up a buck, but that seems to be happening all over town. Can blame the restaurant for PBR getting greedy 😋. Definitely will be back again.
Came here for lunch today and I was totally hyped about supporting. You kind of have no direction on where to start when you walk in, we thought we were to sit down and someone comes. After waiting a while we asked the bartender and she explained to us how it works. Additionally when we walked up to order our food the cashier had on her gloves that she was making the bread with. Okay well maybe she going to change them after?! NOPE! The same gloves she took our credit card with, gave us the pen to write with, picked up the phone and order on the screen that everyone was using is the same gloves she went back to making the bread with. They have this glass wall where you can watch them make the break and of course she went back to making the bread after taking our order. Lastly, the food was great to me. The burger I ordered was not over cooked, onion rings were not dry and the shakes were so good. Very yummy milk shake. However with all this mess about the virus going on let’s just be careful. I said we should’ve left but my bf said let’s just pray 😂 over the food maybe our bread not touched by her. Lol all around good food though.
Decent modern industrial vibe with large creative burgers. They have a bar at one end with large screens to watch sports. They frequently have special burgers.I got their fried chicken burger which featured a large juicy piece of chicken, in well seasoned batter and fried to golden perfection. The sauce was decent and complemented the fried chicken nicely. The burger was so large I had to cut it in half and mash it down to take bites. I would get it again - if you want something more substantial than the chicken shack burger at Shake Shack.
Right below my apartment on Hammond drive. First time in the store and now I know why I dont go to restaurants. Girl at the register has a horrible personality. Looked like she was upset I was there to order food. I doubt I would go back. They need better understanding of what the service industry is all about.
I enjoy this place. Nice bar. Excellent burgers. Reasonably priced. Good drinks. It can get really crowded here during lunch or right after work, so plan accordingly. But its a great place to meet up with friends for a drink and a bite in an informal atmosphere. Cant go wrong here.
I decided to bring the family to follow my first great experience. My wife was told all burgers cooked to medium well. Noone even asked how our food tasted once it was delivered. As you can see from the picture, it tasted like it wasnt cooked. Both burgers were essentially raw in the middle.
Quick walk here from home and got this shot on the way out. Good food. Got a Texas Luau without the beef and added more pork. Was delicious. Vanilla shake was excellent, would have been more so sans whipped creme. Brussel sprouts were tops. Mac and cheese, no bacon was also freaking delicious.
This place was absolutely wonderful! Definitely earned the 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ in my opinion. Great service! The staff there treat you like they actually appreciate your business, like the actually get it, that if it werent for us, the consumer, there wouldnt be them there working at, the job at, The Grub! The Manager was awesome. Not knowing that he had overheard my conversation with the young lady who took our order, they were out of something I had originally ordered so, I had to order something else which was fine with me, no problem. The Manager came over to our table and apologized for them being out of what I wanted and felt he owed me an explanation as to why they were out. I assured him he didnt and that it was really nice of him to do that but not really necessary. Well, he did anyway and he also gave me a card for a free burger of any kind I choose to have on my next visit. Man, I was extremely surprised but also very grateful. We will definitely be going back to The Grub on our future trips to Atlanta. Yes! Even after I use the card I got for the free burger. Come on, Im not that tight. I also recommend The Grub in Sandy Springs, Ga. 1,000% to any and everyone! Go there, you will have a great time!
Burnt buns, again! Not only for the 2nd time on the Cadillac Waygu burger, but once home we sadly discovered the compted (thank you) burger also had burnt buns. We should have checked before leaving. No wait, the manager should have checked before delivering it to our table! Why do we have to eat charred buns?
I have been coming to this location since day 1 on 04/30/2018 and have had nothing but good experiences since. There is always a friendly face and a hello when I walk in the door and the staff (including managers) are always a pleasure. The food is always amazing. Ive read some of the other reviews and understand, however remembering that they just opened and there is a process to everything....so be kind and patient. You will see that everyone has their days, but this is really a great place to eat, drink and be merry!!! Dont forget your $5 RITA is EVERYDAY!!!! Cant beat a place that can make a BURGER like that!!!!
Food was decent . I had the maverick burger which was solid for a impossible burger. Got our food before our drinks though. It would have been nice to have a beer to go along with the burger. Had to ask the bartender for them after we finished our meal. My girlfriends drink was super sour ( tons of lemon ) . In all not a horrible experience but I think either you come for the food or you come for drinks . Dont get both.
It’s The Scorpion Burger For Me!! I got it last night and It was Absolutely Amazing!!! The fries was great also! I’m going back today! The Scorpion burger was one of the Best burgers I’ve ever had in my life.Very nice people that works here too.GRUB, I’m glad I stopped because when I visit Sandy Springs , GA, I will be visiting You!!!
While the food was good, the service of the staff lacked. We ordered the pitcher of margaritas which as advertised 4 drinks. When it arrived we noticed that it was indeed low but had faith. We barely got 3 drinks out of it and the bartender refused to add another marg to the pitcher.
Place is a Good place to meet eat and relax with friends. Food is average and the staff is Friendly! However, the up keep of the the place needs a GOOD WASHING! It may look like time is spent cleaning when actually looking about it Just Needs A Good Thorough Washing EVERYWHERE.. including the bathrooms!
This has a neighborhood spot feel to it and the staff is engaging with their patrons. As someone who’s not from this place I can tell the customers like this place and everyone was pretty welcoming. The drinks are good and the food is decent. I like that this place is on brand.
The food was good with the exception of the moldy bread that the burger came with. To make matters worse, the bread was a $3.00 surcharge because it was gluten free. Instead of making a new burger, the manager threw away the old bread and put the salmon that was on the old sandwich on the new bread.
Okay Burger but not for the price. Then they charged me extra for cheese and bacon on a sandwich that had cheese and bacon. If I hadnt looked at the receipt theyd have had the extra money. Then the manager didnt even tell the order taker what he had done. Also the bathroom was not clean and did not even have hot water. Youd think for a $20 lunch they could spring for hot water in the bathroom
We came in for a burger and a beer and I ordered the Lockheart Legand. This was one of the best burgers that Ive ever eaten. It was an amazing blend of fresh beef and spicy BBQ blended with the fresh onion rings. It was an explosion of flavor in your mouth. Outstanding!! The fries were exceptional as well.
I usually enjoy the food from this location over the years, but have been disappointed a couple of times, especially with my most recent visit. It took over 10 minutes to get my curbside pickup after calling 4 times, and by then the food quality was not very good. Although the manager was nice, and he explained they are short staffed the experience was not worth the time and money.
I just ordered my food and the young man who took our order was so aloof and and unfriendly, I almost wanted to leave. The young woman who greeted us wasnt very nice either. One had in earpods and the young man was scrolling on his phone. Its very slow here and the staff will insure I wont return even if the food is good.
Burgers were delicious, juicy and actually medium , hint of pink right in the center. Ill look forward to dining here post-pandemic. 4 instead of 5 stars because no one answers the phone after multiple calls for a curbside pickup when parked in the designated spot and skipping cookies in the burger box. Overall great grub though :)
First timers and highly impressed, will definitely be back. We ordered over the phone and when I got there decided to eat it there. Cool atmosphere. There was a small misunderstanding in my order and the staff went above and beyond to make it right. They continued to apologize and just had the absolute best customer service. We are from a small town and the experience we had here was better than any we’ve gotten in and around our hometown! 10+ stars deserved for their customer service and personalities. The burgers and fries were awesome. And the Oreo shake is perfection!
A good burger served between a freshly baked bun. I had the bacon burger and was not disappointed. The onion rings and fries were also excellent. The staff here was friendly and the food was delivered quickly. Overall a very good burger that was priced properly and served well. If you want to move up from fast food give this burger a try.
These guys have a variety of really interesting burgers. While it was hard to choose one, I really enjoyed the Texas Luau burger. It had an excellent mix of smokey, spicy, and sweet. Beyond that, though, their onion rings and sweet potato fries were both incredible. The fries werent too sweet, and the batter they use for the rings had a great complimentary flavor too. The staff were all friendly and helpful too. Now if they could just develop a good desert offering, this place could really be dangerous to my diet!
First time going ...there the service was good but my bun was soggy, it had ice burg lettece on it and the whole meal was luke warm. By the way my milkshake was basically water and milk. Never ordering take out from them again . I would have thought it would have been more quality for $17. Not worth it at all.
I’m pregnant and I LOVE burgers. After my appointment at the hospital we decide to get a burger cause why not? Anyways, we were immediately greeted as we walked in and with it being our first time we got the quick run down! The staff were friendly. It’s seem like a very nice space for a restaurant. The bathroom was clean (I love bathrooms with paper towels for hygiene reasons). We received complimentary chips and queso (which I typically don’t like but tried) and it tasted good. Our food came out in a decent time. Me and my husband had the Bacon lover #9. Both burgers were cooked to order and the fries were good. I generally like to try new burger places often. This is definitely on my list to try again! Thank you for good service.
Stopped in today for a quick lunch and I was immediately greeted and seated at the bar. Everyone I came in contact with was nice. I informed the bartender that it was my first time there and she gave me complimentary chips and queso which were good. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and half fries and onion rings. The food was not that good at all! The chicken sandwich was mediocre at best it lacked flavor and left a lot to be desired. The onion rings were massive and the fries were standard. After taking one bite of the chicken sandwich I immediately regretted it and wish Id ordered a burger instead. At the end of the meal Im not sure if it was the manager or not but a woman thanked me for coming and handed me a card for a free appetizer. The 3 stars is for the service but definitely not the food.
Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever endured. My curbside pickup order wasnt ready until 45 minutes past the scheduled time. No apologies or offers to accommodate my wait. Just complete apathy. Whats worse is my burger that I ordered medium came out completely past well-done to the point that it was almost inedible. Im never offering my patronage to this place ever again I dont think you should either.
This restaurant has attentive and welcoming staff. As first timers they approached us to explain how their restaurant works. Your can opt to sit at the bar or order from the counter. Additional food item can be purchased from your table. As first time guests we were greeted with a free queso and chips appetizer. This restaurant offer the vegetarian option of Beyond Beef burgers in any of their burgers. It was delicious. We were very impressed by the Mac and cheese burger!! Salmon burger was another stand out entree. However, you MUST order the ET milkshake!! The Reese’s Pieces are delicious!! We enjoyed our meal outside on the patio. Definitely enhanced the dining experience.
First time trying them and the food was really good 😊 I had to come back the same day for a takeout order lol…they do a really good job with spacing people out and is pretty quick getting your order out…I definitely recommend the milkshakes, you will not be disappointed!
I didnt get a burger at this burger joint cos they have so much more and it all looked so good. I got the Ahi bowl and the salad it sits in was awesome. I cant even name everything in it but the combo was delicious, fun to eat (crunchy bits of bacon!) and on top of that it felt super healthy. 10/10 going back for more. Staff is great too!
This could be my new favorite burger place. I really enjoyed the Texas Luau burger, which has an excellent mix of smokey, spicy, and sweet.
Fancy burgers. $5 cocktails during happy hour. Went as part of a large group and they did their best to accommodate. Customer service is on point.I had the regular burger med_well... But it was very rare dripping blood actually. It was so busy, not worth sending it back, I dont trust sending food back. 🍔s Dont come with 🍟 its an extra cost. Also those $5 drinks werent stiff at all... Had 3 and was ready to get a drink. Not a bad spot but not a out of the way place to go to.
So this past weekend I was in Sandy Springs wedding dress shopping and after my appointment we were not only starving but needing a drink to celebrate (or maybe my dad needed a drink to relax since he had just spent a pretty penny!). Anyway, we ended up at Grub and oh my gosh, was it good! The owner was there and heavily involved in his business, it was our first time there so he brought us complimentary queso and chips, and gave us coupons for a free app next time we come back! The girl working the register was young and didnt know much about types of alcohol but he helped her tell us what they had and key it into the computer. She was very friendly and did a great job regardless of her lack of knowledge of hard liquor. The menu has so many options! Everyone had something different, the beef was tender and tasty, the salad and jalapeno ranch was fabulous, and the salmon burger was well cooked and seasoned. I am also obsessed with the sweet potato waffle fries! Our food came out quick but was obviously made to order and our drinks were good too (and it was happy hour so they were only $5!). It was a super fun and cute place with plenty of seating to chose from - inside or out - sun or shade. Will be going back after my fitting in January!
A great casual place for burgers and drinks. The brussel sprouts are amazing! They have the latest and best fake burgers which are absolutely delicious! Good spot for vegetarians that carnivores alike. The beer selection is excellent. They have happy hour specials for the drinks which include $5 drafts.
Horrible customer service experience. I called in to make sure what time they closed. They told me 9:00. So I call in to place the order shortly before 8:30. Suddenly their kitchen is closed. I explain that I was told differently and suddenly they are still open till 9:00. I give them a code to redeem my meal for free. When my friend went to pick up my order, not only did they make her pay for my meal because their system was down, they didn’t include my full order. When I called back in, the manager Savannah, was rude and it would be kind to say she met my complaint with indifference. They didn’t charge my friend, but she couldn’t even be bothered to extend an apology. This isn’t the first, second, or third time I’ve had a bad interaction at this location. The food is never bad, but there are better Grub Burger Bars, and other burger places, in ATL you can give your money to without all the hassle and constant rudeness.
There are quite a few places nearby who have good burgers, but our entire family agreed these were the best. The burger patties are enormous, juicy, and flavorful. The buns are supple and fresh. Great sauces/additions available. One of us had the chicken sandwich and he declared its better than any around. My son had a Nutella milkshake and it was gone within 2 minutes....just delicious and no artificial taste whatsoever. The skinny french fries are wonderful. Personally I prefer onion rings that are made with smooth batter instead of bread crumbs, but that was literally the only thing I could find that was not to my personal taste. The atmosphere is laid-back and enjoyable, a nice mix for those of us who would want a sports bar/ TV vibe, and those of us who want a less bar-like vibe. Staff is efficient and friendly and clearly working very hard. Well be back often!
Ate here last night for dinner solo. Loved the atmosphere and service. Food I had was good, not great. Had boneless wings that were not served hot though they were tasty. The turkey Cobb salad was average at best. Turkey burger patty was nice but the Cobb salad part was meh.
Pretty good specialty burgers, the waygu and the salmon burgers were good. The best thing about this location is the bar staff. I ordered to go but had beers while waiting and they are always excellent and very pleasant. I would recommend for a place for good beers and a different type of burger.
Arrived pretty much at the height of lunch hour. Walked right up to the counter to place our order. It took about 20 minutes for the food to come out though. The fries and burger were really tasty, although the patty was cooked unevenly somehow. One side was medium rare and the other was medium well. Plenty of staff zipping about but you will have to flag someone down. They wont check on you but are responsive when you have a request.
Great place great food. FRIES great. I used no mustard and ketchup. Shake great just like it to be more Frozen. Everyone nice. Great parking. But for me it will have to be a special treat once an awhile 15.00 plus tip. But like to bring wife by when not working to try the spiked shakes from the bar.
Great location for those looking for veggie burger options. The hippie burger is terrific, salmon burger is meaty and delicious. Skinny fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings awesome. You can’t miss with any of the above. The atmosphere is modern and sleek; one negative, with no waiting space, it’s awkward if you are taking out, so order in advance so that your food is ready when you arrive.
Scrumptious; accurately labeled as $$. Got their wagyu offering for just over $10. Do be aware that fries and a drink are nearly $4.50 and there are no combo deals. Now, to the burger itself. Juicy, flavorful, and well-ornamented - I usually dont like tomatoes on my burger, but I wouldnt have this one any other way. The bun was fresh and toasted to the perfect consistency as well. Overall lovely experience.P.S. Parking my be found around the side of the building, though it is not dedicated for the restaurant.
I get the veggie chickpea patty here on the guacapotle burger and it is very good to me! Ive also enjoyed their shakes, skinny fries, onion rings, and cheese fries (sans bacon) and all have been good to me. Ive had good service at both this location and the location off of North Druid Hills. While I dont eat meat, all the meat eaters Ive been here with seem to really enjoy it as well. It is a little pricey for a frequent lunch outing in my opinion...about $14 for burger, drink, and fries.
Burgers were great, as usual. They ran out of silverware and to eat salad with a plastic fork is not my favorite thing to do. They also ran out of Brussel sprouts and the wine that we ordered. All in all, the food was good, but the whole experience was subpar.I guess thats what one can expect when trying to do something social in these strange times.
Always top notch service here, along with outstanding food. Burgers are thick, cooked to your preference. The fries are thinly cut, make sure to ask for comeback sauce to dip. Favorite shake here so far is the Kitchen Sink. The mac n cheese burger is one of my favorites here. This location has free parking in the “retail” marked spots in the apartment complex deck.
Was there on a Friday evening. It was very busy, but they had 2 registers going and the serving staff was very helpful. Unfortunately, it took about 20 min for my Pesto Turkey Cobb Salad to come out and I was lucky to get a seat indoors (90 degrees outside). The meal was delicious, but it shouldnt take 20 min to cook a turkey burger (used in the salad) and prep the salad. Id return, but not when theyre busy. Based on Fridays observation...if theyre often that busy then theyre operating too big a volume for the location size as its causing long order lines, very slow food delivery times and lack of indoor seating to enjoy the meal in inclement weather conditions. Good food though!!!
I arrived at the end of lunch, but they were still busy. Even so, the line was quick and the cashier answered my questions. I got my burger (Bacon Love) prepared correctly and within 10+- minutes, and it had a nice, crisp char. I swapped out a side salad, and topped it with jalapeno ranch. All were great.Only detractor- the Bus Guy was a little over zealous, and asked me three times if I was done yet. Not rude, just focused on is job.Ill definitely be back.
Loved Grub Burger bar! Amazing food, service, and atmosphere! Staff is on point! Was in town for conference and this is the most memorable eating establishments. Loved it. They know how to roll out a carpet for you when you are new to their burgers! Highly recommended! Go stuff your face with some great burgers!
This burger bar is pretty good. The service is good. The manager will come around and ask if everything is okay and he actually helps you if something was wrong with your order. There is plenty of free parking and its easy to find! Its a little pricey, but good food!
Grub burger bar is fantastic! I met up here with a couple of girlfriends recently and had the chips & dip which was phenomenal. Within minutes of the girls getting there, the whole plate was gone! I also had a Moscow mule which was delicious. And for my main entree I kept it classic and ordered a cheeseburger. Everything was made to perfection and the staff was so nice from ordering at the bar, ordering food in the line, and even the nice lady who helped us at our table. Food was delivered in a timely manner and even if it wasn’t, I’ll be going back because the food is just delicious! I can’t wait to try some more of their unique menu items
Ive been there probably five times now. I didnt come to this decision lightly I actually gave it a try and then another try and then another try. But it just so happens that every time I went there I had to sit at a dirty table. I had to literally go to the bar to order a drink to order food and then I just sat there to see if they were going to bring me a check and I ended up sitting there 30 minutes playing on my phone waiting till I finally went to the bar to pay the bill. Its supposedly being an upscale place has by far some of the worst service Ive ever seen. I am a civil engineer so I know that its difficult to operate but that place takes it to all another level anyways hope you enjoy it
I really like Grub. Best turkey burger in town for sure. My daughter is in love with their worms and dirt shake. Service has always been friendly and helpful even when things dont go as planned. Never has a drink here but my GF said her drink was good. Keep up the good work guys!
When we first started going here everything was great. Lately, the service and food quality has really taken a hit. I asked for a burger cooked medium and it was served rare, which is fine, people make mistakes. The reall issue is that instead of making a new burger, they clearly microwaved the one I sent back, as I had cut it in half to check the temperature. The entire bottom bun had turned into a goo. Really just food service 101.This was the last straw for us. Weve have had similar, but not as poor experiences over the last few months, but this put the nail in the coffin. Really disappointing for me because I loved their scorpion burger. The bourbon caramel milkshakes are to die for though.
Friendly service. Good food. Tell them it is your first time there, and they will bring you some corn chips and chorizo queso cheese dip. I had the yummy Mac and Cheese Burger (with bacon). I heard they make their own buns, and they were very good. The shakes were just right. They appear to keep the right amount of folks employed there to be helpful and clean, and they all were busy cleaning or smiling.
First time here... $2 mimosas on Sundays! Turkey burger and split fries (your choice of 2 different types of fries- regular, sweet potato, or onion rings) let me recommend the sweet potato fries... best Ive ever had. Salmon burgers are handmade, not something that was pre-packaged and tossed on the grill. We normally sit at the bar by default of not wanting to wait for a table at in restaurant. With that being said, my only disappointment is that although the bartender was really nice and attentive, shes a bit slow moving. Otherwise, this is a must try
Grub is a really solid place to grab a quick Burger, sandwich, or salad. The space is fun & open, including some decent outdoor seating. The location is easily accessible as well. The quality of the food is very good & the prices are fairly reasonable. I especially like the online ordering that is available.
First thing that bothered me about this place is you have to pre-tip when paying for your food. Youre asking me to pay for performance not yet delivered. Why would the server pay attention to orders with no tip when they can grab orders that do have tips? I paid for a tip because I didnt want my food to be neglected but it felt like a shake down and thats a deal breaker for me. Apparently shakes are a bar order and we had to ask 3 times to get my sons shake. On the brighter side, our server was helpful and friendly and did apologize for the wait on the shake. Our food arrived at the same time, was tasty and delivered as ordered.
Bad Management! They don’t pick up for all call in orders. I just called and the guy put me on hold and never acknowledged me. This was done to stop the phone from ringing. This is bad service! I’ve called 5 times and the phone just rings. Today is June 14, 2021. The quality of service has changed! Management or something has definitely changed.
Burgers arent that good and fall apart. Their jive turkey burger is the only decent one. Sides are okay. Shakes are meh. Everything is pricey. The cashiers never seem to know how to work the register and it takes forever. I waited for a to go order for double the time it said even though I saw it ready and no employees would help me.Also, I am a resident in the building it is attached to and this restaurant is nothing but a nuisance. People are consistently drunk late at night and there is puke all over the property. Anyone who comes to eat here leaves trash all over. A guy once pulled his pants down and started peeing in the parking garage as my significant other and I tried to walk our dogs. Its basically a frat house.
Second time here. I expected the food to be good based off the positive reviews but these 5 stars go to Sophia at the register for being attentive, offering suggestions, helping me redeem my coupon, and offering me a water cup while I waited for my Togo order, not to mentioned all done with a smile. Attentive service and staff is what will keep me coming back. Cheers to you Sophia.
Damn great specials Friday through Sunday for mimosas and drinks and such. Its a cool crowd that comes in most of the time and the food is pretty damn good. service was okay. Probably because we were there so early on a Sunday and things picked up. It is definitely a mixed crowd of older and younger folks here
Modern atmosphere, cushy hightop bench seats, and oh the food! The brussel sprouts are so good you forget theyre healthy. The burgers are TOP. NOTCH. They have the juiciest Wagyu beef burger cooked to order for the perfect sized burger topped with a superb aioli. Great, friendly service. 10/10 Cant wait to dine again!
Loved the appetizers. My friend and I ordered salad. We were disappointed by the lettuce in it because it was very wimpy and limp (no crunch or texture). I wished it would have been fresh or a choice of kale and or cabbage to add that needed textuee to our Salmon and Tuna salads. The drink was pretty weak too. Staff and atmosphere was very nice.
I had the lockhart burger & sweet potato friesThe burger patty is a thick juicy patty complemented very nicely with their Inhouse buns. The burger itself was delicious. This burger comes with two onion rings in the burger which is what caught my attention.I was hoping the onion rings & the sweet potato fries that accompanied them were gonna be as steller as my burger was but unfortunately mine were fried to Oblivion.Normally I like a bit of a crunch with my fries but these were extra well done. They have a delicious mango tea, I strongly recommend it.Great location ( cool outdoor seating)Good medium groups settingGood for a quick biteClean dining areaClean restroomsFriendly staffGood pricesNOTE: If you order sweet potatoes fries Id ask them to go easy on them lol
I came today to take advantage of the happy hour specials with a friend. The dry rub wings, cheese fries and honey siracha wings were awesome but most importantly the service was great. We sat at the bar and we were served by Shan. She was kind, attentive and gave us a fun experience. Looking forward to coming back. This was my 2nd time coming in and both times the food and service was great! Definitely recommend checking this place out.
Definitely worth a visit - walked by the other day and came in for dinner. The blazing chicken sandwich and front porch burger were solid, the fries are quite crispy and thin cut (steak n shake style) but well seasoned. Definitely going back for the shakes as we heard they are great.
My favorite place to get a burger or boozy milkshake in atl. My friend and I were visiting from out of town for 5 days and went here twice, once the two of us then again with our team from work. Everybody loved it. We had fantastic service each time, and wonderful food. The Mac and cheese burger, the nachos, the black beans, the mint boozy shake, all of it was sooooo good. I cant wait till I visit again to go back. I would recommend this to everyone. Download their app and get free stuff! You wont be disappointed. I wish they had one here in California. Pity.
Everything has been delicious from their blue cheese and bacon burger to their Mac and cheese burger. Their sweet potato and onion rings are out of this world. I have yet to try their milkshakes but they look beautiful. This is hands down the best burger place In perimeter. Please come visit, its worth it.
The two most important words: SUB---WAGYU!!!!I find the atmosphere and the staff to be both pleasant and welcoming. The first time I ate here, I went straight for the heat with the Scorpion Burger. It definitely brought the sting, but it was still flavorful and delicious, not to mention melds well with the MR Wagyu beef!I tried the Texas Luau next, but not gonna lie, the Sub Wagyu gets lost in this particular burger and should really only be ordered if you are looking to eat the pork, as it was delicious, but no burger flavor pops out.All in all, I have had a few excellent experiences here and look forward to my next visit!
Great food and service! It wasn’t until I recently visited a different Grub location in Atlanta that I noticed just how nice this location is. The other location had horrible food- but not this location in Sandy Springs! Food was great, milkshakes are awesome and the service was great. I’ll definitely stick to visiting this location.
Contrary to the excellent reviews from others, I was disappointed with Grub. I had the Voodoo Mushroom Burger, which I now believe requires a very refined set of taste buds that I do not possess. The burger was too rare and the spicy mushrooms were the only part I actually ate all of. The Strawberry Marguarita was watered down and did not resemble a strawberry or a marguarita. Cute place. Best for younger adults.
Excellent food, great service and at a affordable price. My favorite, the Harlem chicken tenders, brussel sprouts, and the Chipotle ketchup. They also have creative and loaded shakes; while not over the top like Black Tap Burger in NY, it is really good. If you dine in, you can get boozy shakes as well.
AMAZING burgers!!! BF and I were in the mood for a big juicy burger so we tried this place out - skeptical at first because we are huge shake shack fans. Omg we were not disappointed!!! Cooked to perfection (I ordered a medium ) the condiment station is awesome (jalapeño ranch is something else and warm dr.pepper bbq!!) and the menu options are just amazing. Can’t wait to come back and actually have a salad and try the salmon burger!
I am a resident living in the Glen Ridge Road area. I searched on Google for the best burgers in my area. Your restaurant came up and as I reviewed the website made a call to find out exactly where you guys were located. The gentleman that answered the phone was very courteous however once I arrived I walked in and sat down at the patio. This is Saturday evening at 8:50 PM. Two girls passed me several times not one ever acknowledging that I was sitting there I finally asked am I supposed to come in and place my order or is someone here to do that. The young lady explained that I needed to come in place my order. I came in and placed my order for a porch burger with cheddar cheese and a string fries. I must say the food was delicious! The service however it was poor poor and poor. Once I began eating my food I had to ask for ketchup I never got a check on me I even asked the girl if I could have a to go box it seemed as though I was a bother to her she pointed me in the direction where I could go and get a to go box.Her posture allowed me to know that the only thing she was concerned with is going home she continued to clean tables and the like. Will I come back? For the 🍔 burgers only. YesFor the Service No!Sincerely EJ
Been meaning to visit but never had the time, finally had an opening and was happy I did. Great location, variety in menu and fabulous staff who loves to chat. Food was delicious, especially the queso dip for starters. Atmosphere is ideal for happy hour and the $5 drink special wasnt an influence at all, lol.
We visited there July 4th and the place was slammed. I think any negatives were because of that. The tables werent getting cleared and wiped quickly enough and we didnt get our drinks until after our food arrived. The salmon burger looked amazing and Dad said it tasted great. He also enjoyed the black bean and corn salad. The veggie burger was ok but full. Why do restaurants assume that vegetarians want bland food??? The brussel sprouts were fantastic! Grub Bar has regular weekly and happy hour specials.
The meat used for the burger was great.Burger prices in general are getting a little out of control everywhere and this place is no exception. The Scorpion burger was not that hot unless you cut the habanero pepper the put on the top which I did.Fries were great. The brussel sprouts could have been great but had way too much vinaigrette on them.
Fantastic food; painfully poor execution.Went during a lunch hour. Place is very well laid out, has a nice outdoor seating area, lots of indoor seating, full bar, is very clean and polished. When we walked in we were told by a very nice lady that only one of their terminals were working. We were fine with it. Things happen. Stood in line for about 10 minutes to order. Still fine. Ordered a salad and took a seat.Sat at our table for 20 minutes when that nice lady came around again and apologised, this time for the long food wait. Said it would be serve shortly. Still fine.Over the course of the next 10 minutes, we watched as burger after burger rolls out of the kitchen. These included orders that had come in after us. At this point its been a half hour of waiting at the table so we opted to go ask for our money back and committed to going somewhere else. Still fine. Stuff happens. As we are asking for our money back, the manager runs up and says that the salads are coming right out, if well just wait 1 more minute. We tried to argue and are ready to head out the door as soon as we get refunded, but he says the food is on him and please just wait. We reluctantly agree, sit down and get our food a minute later. He refunds us our money, apologises profusely and gives us cards for free future meals. Sweet! Still fine. Things happen. He made it right.Get home and look at the cards for free meals. They expired 3 weeks ago. Just one fail after another. We could have done away with the free future meal... And that mess up just left a lingering bad taste in my mouth. Great food; they just couldnt pull it together from a service perspective. Not likely to go back.
Burger was so-so, fries were too salty for my taste. Sun was baking our table in the afternoon, find shade. Service was good, prices were decent, chips and salsa were ok. I dont drink so i go for the food which didnt impress me, probably will only go back if friends out vote me.
Chef Shane, at your Hammond Rd. location was awesome. Ive ordered my favorite fab alaskan burger online for a scheduled pickup and showed up nearly an hour late. Chef Shane, made a new one, after greeting me, on how to order in a future if I wish to have a medium burger. The rest of the team was awesome as usually as well...
Just off the intersection of Hammond and AshDun, this new place offers an interesting mix of burger options and fries (sweet potato waffle fries that you can mix with their traditional). A surprise for me was the fried chicken sandwich, which you get (and for spice fans I recommend) hot.its a good hot, with flavor and texture, not just sauce slopped all over it.They also have a fun beer like dispenser set for a variety of teas that i havent seen anywhere else. Have been a few times and its reasonably quick and has a good crowd.
I loved my first experience at Grub. I had the guacapotle which was very good. The fries are some of the best Ive had in a while: seasoned well and crispy. Its very modern and sleak interior with generous inside and outside. Outside seating includes a good amount of sun and shade. The only negative Id say is that seating inside was limited for highchairs because most of the seating was high tops. So while they had plenty of high chairs for toddlers you could only user them at a few tables. They also had booster seats for older kids which would work fine at the high top booths. Overall Im already planning my next trip back.
Lost our ticket, took 40minutes to eat. Happens :)overall not bad.Stopped by yesterday, food on point! You guys doing a good job! Bartenders seemed to be on more to socialize part And not be very helpful... There was one guy who helped us a lot even if it was a glass of water! Thank you Tammy( hope I spell your name right!) you need more people like him!
Grub makes an excellent burger! The prices are definitely in the gourmet burger price range, and the service has been slower at lunch rush. Make an online order before noon and pick it up if youre in a hurry. Dont miss the chipotle ketchup and other fancy condiments! I will definitely be putting Grub on my regular lunch rotation when I can get out of the office before 12.

2022-05-10Stopped in on a Sunday for a quick bite. You simply order at the window & let the staff know which table number you’d like to dine at. We ordered the Maverick and Guacapotle burgers with the ET & vanilla bean shakes. Everything was tasty and came out pretty quickly.

2022-05-30Absolutely no complaints about Grub. I had a Lockhart burger. Nice juicy beef patty with humongous onion ring, avocado cheese. Good sized burger for the price. Added some fries on the side and a drink ( with a few refills). Was in and out for about $17.The food, service, cleanliness, ambience was fine. Didnt hang out at the bar area but strolled by the taps and saw the usual Georgia suspects ( Sweetwater, Night on Ponce, plus Bud, Heineken and a few other basic pilsners and lagers.)The app and redeeming the free side upon signing up are both kinda arduous but I figured it out. You get a week to redeem the freebie (provided you buy another regular priced item, of course.)

2021-09-20We really enjoyed our experience at Grub Kitchen. Rose was our server/bartender. She made me THEE BEST margarita Ive ever had. Seriously. Annnnnnddd it was only $5! The food came out fast, and tasted delicious. My burger was good, but the loaded sweet potato nachos were the highlight of our meal. Those fries were everything! And the perfect reason to return. The food and service was great! 5 stars. Also, there is covered/free parking in the parking garage. This was a great perk.

2021-10-18I think I found me a new favorite Burger 🍔 Place. My Airman friend was in town for Drill Day and we visited the area for a different Restaurant but ended up at Grub Kitchen & Bar. Everything about the place is lovely. Check out the pictures of its scenery. The personnel are friendly and please try the shakes. You will love them. It also features a bar that offers a variety of alcoholic beverages. The place is neat

2021-10-12My favorite burger place to go! I’ve had a different burger every time and it’s never disappointed! Today I had the Cadillac wagyu burger and it was sooooo delicious, juicy and I did not put it down until my last bite was taken. I devoured it and I am not ashamed. My husband handed me a napkin at some point as all the juice from the burger was dripping down my hand to arm. This burger is my -#1 — and the fries! So yummy, I should have ordered more. This place has great happy hour, food and patio seating. Highly recommend this place for everything it offers!

2022-06-02Phenomenal! That was one of the best Lockhart Legend Burgers Ive had in a long time! The buns were big and fluffy, the patty plump and juicy, bacon (and onion rings) were the perfect crispness without being too crunchy, and the BBQ sauce ratio was on the dot. I came 6/1/22 at 7:30pm. Whoever made that burger (or whatever team) needs to be training everyone. Superb.I only regret not taking a pic so everyone could see.

2021-07-16I ordered the front porch burger, sub with beyond burger and no mayo. my friend ordered the mac&cheese burger. my other friend ordered something with bacon.my burger was alright but I wish there were more vegan options and there wasnt a additional charge for people who dont eat meat. my friend stated that the macaroni on her burger was seasoned well surprisingly.jayla along with the other front house employees were very kind and helpful.I wish there was a place for guests to throw their own trash out however, after each person left a table they were being cleaned almost immediately after.* vegan review

2021-08-10Great spot for lunch, quick dinner, after work drinks. Good selection of burgers, other sandwiches, and salads with a decent beverage menu. My party tried a variety of items and all were excellent. Will be going back. Easy walk from a number of office buildings nearby

2022-02-02This couldve been good, but my sandwich was so sopped in sauce the fried chicken was gooey with no crunch and the bread wasnt even bread anymore. The fries were FANTASTIC but I dont even know what the chicken on my sandwich tasted like it was so soaked in buffalo sauce and ranch. I cannot exaggerate how wet and squishy my $20 fried chicken sandwich meal was.
