Gwinnett Clinic in other cities:
I am so disappointed that my insurance will recommend such a place that don’t do anything for their patient. I took my daughter there yesterday to do her immunization for college, Dr wong signed a prescription and sent us off to CVS. They charged me $125. I don’t understand how I could be charged when I had insurance. Is that a core pay? I really got mad when I stopped at Kroger, they gave my daughter two shots and charged it to my insurance. They also told me that if they had filled the form it was going to cost me $20. I called the office and the receptionist told me I paid for doctor’s visit. So why do I have Blue Cross insurance? I would understand if Gwinnett Clinic is not within my insurance network. I need an answer as to whether they are charging customers and charging insurance company also. Bad practice!!!!
Gwinnett Clinic in Dacula is the utmost awesome place to go. The office staff is very friendly, caring and so helpful. Ana is always cheerful and always glad to greet you with a smile at the front desk. Nurse Virginia has been here the longest of any nurses. Shes awesome! Ms Myra is my favorite of all. Never met a person that is so caring and really listens to my needs and always has an answer for my needs. Shes a very special person and a keeper!
I have been seeing Dr.Wang for 2.5 years now. He is an exceptionally humane, compassionate and caring individual. He always makes me feel at ease knowing that all my concerns will be addressed. He is forthright and honest, which I appreciate in a doctor.Everyone at the clinic has a pleasant disposition and cares about my wellbeing.
I have been coming here since they pretty much opened. Dr. Wang is my dude, hes the absolute best. The staff are always super nice & friendly. I have to make visits pretty much monthly & I have a super busy & always changing schedule, they always make it super easy for me to get in & see Dr. Wang. These clinics are typically great in general but I do have to say the Dacula location is my number 1. :)
I absolutely love the staff at this office! Myra is the best! She is always looking out for me and my health. Ana and Virginia are also so wonderful to come in contact with while I’m at this office. Their welcoming smiles make me feel so welcome. Highly recommend this office!
The majority of the staff is great. For the most part, its efficient and you can usually get in without a problem. That said, I will say Dr. Wang was extremely unimpressive. I went through a series of issues that the other doctors/NP at the facility had thought to be kidney stones or something of that nature. As time went on, and I had lost about 35 lbs, it became clear it was something else. I went back for further guidance. I was unable to stand up straight I was so sick. Dr. Wang came into the room, without even palpitating my stomach or any examination, he wanted to just prescribe me pain pills and send me home. He said that my back pain was probably because my bed was too soft. I mentioned to him that I worked at a research facility for the National Academy of Sports Medicine with professional athletes and pain management corrective clients and I didnt feel that my pain was due to an issue with anterior pelvic tilt (if that was what he was inferring by the soft bed comment) for several reasons (which I explained in detail). He completely dismissed what I said. He prescribed me muscle relaxants which did little except knock me out. Fast forward to the next week, I see a different doctor and I actually had a prolific bacterial infection which had to be treated aggressively for about a month with antibiotics. When I explained to her what Dr. Wang had said, she laughed. The crazy part of all of this is that Dr. Wang has a specialty in Internal Medicine, so it really should have been more in his wheelhouse than the very bizarre diagnosis that he tried to project onto it. That said, I was very terse in correcting him because I had been in really bad pain for a few months--I was just at my threshold and so incredibly annoyed at having wasted more time and money to hear that my bed was too soft. I could have been more tactful. He might be a very good doctor with other people, but he was certainly not my cup of tea.Everyone else has been either extremely helpful and knowledgeable OR theyve pointed me in the right direction as far as going to a specialist. It is a good facility for the most part.
Terrible experience! Went in with my boyfriend to have a doctor look over his stitches and possibly sign an FMLA, after the replacement for his primary doctor filled out the form incorrectly and inconsistently. We called ahead of time and explained the situation and the receptionist - of course - told me he couldnt be positive the doctor would be able to sign the papers, but would definitely take a look. After the experience with his primary, my boyfriend was hoping to be able to change over to this clinic, because it was so much closer to his house, but the treatment we received was almost demeaning. Dr. Wang didnt even remove the bandage from his finger. When we told him what we were looking for, (For a physician to sign off on what the nurse told him in the ER, which was that he couldnt work for 14 days. He works in hard labor and couldnt perform his job without his hand.) he literally laughed and simply said he wasnt going to sign the papers. I asked him if he could look at the wound to give an estimate on how long it would be before he could have the stitches removed and he said he didnt see the point because he wasnt going to fill out the paper. He condescendingly asked, If I didnt put them in, why would I sign the paper? Well, most of the time, the doctor in the ER isnt the one to sign the papers. Trust me, that was our first route. The reasoning behind his not signing the papers, I completely understand, but the manner in which it was handled was so rude and unprofessional. He didnt listen to a word we had to say and in the end simply walked out after saying, Well give you your money back, as though this was about the money. I dont see how you plan to get new patients if youre a complete ass to those who you havent seen more than once.
The Dacula location is the BEST!!! Everyone is so nice and friendly when I go in there. Virginia and Myra are the very reason I go to this location, no matter what the reason I may be going in the office for they always are helpful and have a smile on there face. The front office staff is always as nice as they can be and helpful. I would highly recommend this doctors office with Myra and location to anyone...... they are awesome!!!!
Ana, office manager is very professional, she is always pleasant and kind.I see NP Myra, she always take great care of my medical needs. Myra is a very caring, knowledgeable and she listens to my concerns and answers all my questions. I appreciate Ana and Myra very much.
I love this office and all of the staff. They are always smiling and very helpful. Its really nice when youre not feeling well to be greeted with respect and positive vibes. I love Dr. K. Ive been seeing him for years and will only go when he is there. Thank goodness for Dr. K and the Dacula office.!
Very unimpressed with Dr. Wong. He’s extremely dismissive and unconcerned acting. Both me and my mother have been to him and have both been sent home saying we’re fine when there was actually a deeper problem lying. Went right up to road to a different Gwinnett Clinic and was properly diagnosed. However I will say I like the convenience of the Dacula location as it is rarely packed.
The ladies, nurses I am assuming, are insanely rude. Never want to give me any info regarding my husbands results and they are QUICK to talk negatively about the patients while they are sitting in the waiting room. The only reason we are still here is because Dr. Wong is good.
Me & my husband have been patients here for years. Weve always seen Myra Bowie and absolutely love her. Our insurance is now Anthem (bcbs) and had to choose a pcp and her name is not on the list of options. Can she be added on so that we can continue to see her. She knows our mefical history and we are most comfortable continuing our care with her. We do not use gmail so if you need to contact us our phone number is in our charts. Thank you! Tim & Denise Huggins
I have been seeing Dr. Wong and the staff for over five years. I am very impressed with the way they keep track of patients. I had an illness and Dr. Wong diagnosed it after several rule outs. I wouldnt be where I am with him. He keeps track of my health year to year. I appreciate so much the hours and the staff how they work with you!
I was a walk-in on a Sunday at 12:15 and there were only a couple of people in front of me. The staff was very friendly, curtious and helpful. I was seen promptly, the exam was thorough and my treatment was excellent! Great experience overall and I will definitely return if the need arises.
This clinic doesnt even deserve 1 star. I went to this clinic 3 days ago and the doctor brushed off what I came in for. I ended up in the hospital last night and the er doctors told me what I went to the doctor for, if I would have waited I would have become septic. Therefore the place is a pile of trash.
Don’t waste your time. They tell you over the phone that they can do something and then get to the office and they can’t. I walked in 20 minutes before my appointment time knowing I would have paperwork to do. I sat there for 30 minutes without a hello or anything and then was given my paperwork just for my whole morning to be wasted and they couldn’t help me! Beware. Go somewhere that cares a little more!
This office staff is very nice clerks and nursing staff and some of the Doctors specially Doctor K and Nurse Myra they are awesome. Except Dr.Wang is kind of rude and unprofesional making jokes of an issue that I brought to his attention.Other than that is a good medical office to visit for medical care
Ive been there at least 10 times due to my condition, first do NOT go to doctor Wong the chinese doctor, the worst doctor around here. Gives you some pills and tells you gonna be fine, not really , turned out to be cervical lymphadenopathy. Instead go to Lawrenceville gwinnett clinic right next to the hospital, in my opinion best place to receive care
Rude office staff! The website states Walk- ins are always welcome. That is definitely not the case at this location! I walked in and started to sign in only to be asked what I was doing and then promptly told that the office closes to walk-ins 30 minutes before the office actually closes! That needs to be clearly stated on the website if that is the case!
Just received a three page balance statement from Gwinnett Clinic listing visits dating back to 2015 which is beyond ridiculous considering they had assured me most visits over the course of FOUR YEARS that I did not need to pay them anything. The whackness exceeds my expectations 👏👏👏 slow claps*
I had such a terrible experience. I went to get my medicine but couldnt even get to that because the doctor came at me for no reason at all. I dont pay my money to get poor service and still never receieved my medicine. I would not recommend anyone to this facility, not with my experience here.
I called ahead of time for my husband to go in and see them for sickness. She said they might close early but I could bring him in at 2pm. The weather wasn’t the best today but we drove and got there at 2. Their office sign said they closed early. I didn’t receive any call or anything to be notified of them closing early when I was scheduled in at a certain time. And time was limited because I was on my lunch break at work. Very unprofessional business.

2022-04-05This place is the worst clinic anybody can go to. My parents have both been seen by Dr.Wang who is the most unprofessional “doctor”. My mother has been seen by him for a couple of years and every time she leaves her visit she is completely broken. The comments this man makes towards his patients are disgusting. Today my father was seen by Wang and my father asked questions about his health and what are some options to “lose” weight since this “Doctor” keeps saying he’s fat. Mr.Wang had the audacity to tell my father “go to Home Depot” of course as anybody would question what was the comment for or what he was talking about, Wang continued to say you need to buy duct tape and put it over your mouth. This was an extremely unprofessional way of “helping” someone try to lose weight. Also the Dr always laughs when you ask him things. I myself have witnessed this several times when I would go to my mothers appointments before COVID. This man needs to be reported. 0 stars for this place. Do NOT recommend to anybody.

2022-03-23I went to the dacula location a few days ago because I felt sick and Dr.Wang was extremely dismissive. I tested positive for the flu and he did not want to prescribe me any medications at all and finally after going back and forth he decided to prescribe me a medication. Today I called back asking to speak to him and a nurse picked up and said she would leave a message and I told her I felt like I couldn’t breathe and I need something for my congestion and she called back saying Dr.Wang said to take over the counter medications like DayQuil. This is very upsetting. It shows this doctor does not care for his patients and is quickly trying to get patients out without giving the proper treatment.

2022-03-12Where do I start. Why have telemedicine appointments promoted for established patients and then not allow them to utilize this for mundane things like a sinus infection? It’s pretty ridiculous. Don’t offer convenience and then put parameters on it. How about I don’t want to get up charged for a weekend in person visit and drag my kids to your waiting room, so you can take over an hour of my day, and write me a script I could’ve gotten in 15 mins at a CVS walk in clinic so you can over charge my insurance. The worst is I’ve been an established patient for years un established after this.

2022-03-17Me and my family have been going for years, it is convenient if you dont have time, they are quick to assist you, but Dr. Lee Joo won, He is not professionally ethical, in my last consultation with him I asked him a question regarding health and he did not know or did not want to answer me correctly and told me to look for that information on the internet!! besides, it seems that he is dealing with animals, because he does not explain anything to you; Macdonals type, fast little doctor, and they wont let you make the same blood appointment as my husbands experience, that is, it was for his general blood test and they didnt want to combine this test with the Ac1. I dont know if this is because of the insurance or its their policy, the PA didnt give an explanation. I give them 2 stars because they organize themselves between the walk=ins and the appointments and another one for the calls they make to inform you of how and what came out in your blood analysis

2021-08-03Pro- Appointment can be made quickly depending on your insuranceCon- 1) You pay $125 up front insurance or not. They do not let you switch payments later either, in case you have an FSA.2) No recent positive reviews for this location.3) They try to act friendly but are actually grouchy (staff/drs).

Dr. K ans Dr. Wang, Take their time during consultation to answer any questions or concerns I may have. I greatly appreciate the follow-up calls that lets me know they truly care about their patients.I even recommended them to my neighbor who was looking for a new Doctor.

2020-08-24I originally went to this clinic, as I needed to get on Blood pressure meds. I was able to be seen right away, which was great. Since the first appointment, COVID-19 hit and I had two phone appointments, but had to fight to get the second appointment, as they were all about getting me in for an A1C check.Today I called and the lady who answered the phone, spoke in broken English. I guess if she was able to pass the interview, she got the job.She told me no appointments were available for Saturday, but I could walk in and be seen after all the appointments. I asked if I could be seen by the lady who I previously spoke with, as we had a great connection, she told me she no longer a works at that office. Wait, how does she know who I am talking about?I have had a hard time finding a doctor I could connect with. So, I am out of refills on 4 of my meds, trying to go all natural and supplements, but until I get a doctor to ok me to be removed from my meds, I need to be seen. This was the final call for me, so I decided to look for another doctor, one I can connect with better.Best of luck to anyone who goes to this clinic.I’m doing DDPY rebuild, from Xylene exposure, and it’s been helping. But I still need a doctor to be by my side and support me, as I make this transition.

2020-01-03The staff and doctors here are awesome. They are very kind and do a great job. As long as you come prepared with the proper information for what you need, you will have no issues at all. Dr. Wang and Myra are awesome. They have great bedside manner and see you quickly. Im happy to have them as my new PCP. Top marks all around.
